now i'm thinking about how sqh would use necromancy differently from wwx... prolly a lot of denying ppl were ever dead so he doesn't get prosecuted for defiling corpses and raising the dead (he just found them severely injured and then used some medical skills to make them all better!), + using the fierce corpses to help him w paperwork... lol

using necromancy to run errands!! bureacracy needs hard work too, you know???!??

in all seriousness, though, i'm not sure necromancy would occur to him. i think the golden core transfer MIGHT, but there's a chance that instead of hiding it he'd just go "shit!!! shit! SHIT!!! hey, i know you're feeling shit but like, do you want MY core" and thus he wouldnt be separated from jc long enough for the wens to get him orrrrr he'd do the fucked up thing of finding SOMEONE ELSE'S core to use. like, hey, jiang-zongzhu what if i hunt down wen zhuliu and give you HIS core wouldn't that be awesome. that'd be amazing, wouldn't it??? LET ME JUST GO DO THAT. hey wen qing is there a guy you hate a lot because if there is i have a STUNNING proposition for you.

this ALSO assumes that sqh would go out to buy food and separate from jc to begin with instead of, say, already having three bags of melon seeds and some bao up his sleeves. dude loves his snacks.

but Javier has never needed to be good at seducing anyone. The power of the main character halo imbues him with supernatural hotness and draws everyone to him whatever he does. (Without it he would definitely suck at the actual practice tho lol.)

i know he's never had to be good at it. he doesn't need to. but you don't get me. i wanna see this man be so terrible at flirting so bad. i need to see him going at it with the confidence of a guy who has never ever been bad at anything in his entire life only to trip with his own shoelaces and fall flat on his face before he can even get one word in. i need him to approach the situation with the experience of someone who's never had to do anything but look at the general direction of a person to make them fall for him. i need him to make the earnest effort of a man who was never an awkward high-schooler confessing to his crush voice cracks and everything.

and most of all i need him to try to woo the one man in the world who does not care for his main character energy ( •̀ ω •́ )

​don't worry, he'll be just fine!! He can always ask someone else to drive for him, if he really needs to. That way he can just focus on battling!

...although, people have been saying his battling style has become more aggressive as of late. He brushed it off, but even Emmet commented on it recently. He's not sure what he's talking about. He's fine. He's battling like usual. Everything is fine.

Give me a character and I will give you my thoughts on

Merlin (the BBC guy)

one aspect about them i love - In all fairness, I only watched maybe three episodes of Merlin (lots of fandom osmosis in its very heyday, but I didn't have access to the show and I've been lazy about watching it on Netflix). I really like how entirely fearless he is before social convention. It feels like Merlin is living in Merlin’s world, and things like etiquette are things that are happening somewhere in the vicinity of him but not really at him. Which makes everything about his position so much fun.

one aspect i wish more people understood about them - Had a fully-fredged life before he got to Camelot! 

one (or more) headcanon(s) i have about this character - Actually enjoys healing, but not at all the process of learning it.

as well as

one character i love seeing them interact with - Gaius! Gauis collaborated with the wizard-killings and now, years after a deadly purge, when he’s still the King’s advisor (!!!), the most powerful warlock to ever warlock is under his power and keeping, and he chooses to help and hide him.

There’s a low-key Gaius redemption arc happening in the background of every episode, and I wish there was more of a focus on that, because the moral weight of it all is very complicated and has to impact his relationship with Merlin to some degree.

one character i wish they would interact with/interact with more - Freya. More time! More lakeside visits!

one (or more) headcanon(s) i have that involve them and one other character - Those amazed eyes don't lie. Lancelot is at least 70% in love with him.

Now I have to ask- WHY do you hate Pacific Rim?

Okay, fair warning, this is about as bitter and salty and small-minded as day-old caviar. But. My bitter, salty (probably fishy) opinion:

Pacific Rim is only a good movie because it's a well-written story about robots punching monsters.

That's it. That's all there is to the movie.

I started out merely disappointed by Pacific Rim. We went gaga for the preview materials that promised these unique well-rounded character pairs and trios with these idiosyncratic robots from all these different Pacific nations... And then the movie itself is about some bland white American guy who pilots a robot named a racial slur, the second most fleshed-out team is bland white Australian guys, and the Chinese team is there, kind of, in the background, but don't worry they're going to die first. The "character-driven story" turned out to be "various characters take turns punching aliens" but, sure, whatever, I love the MCU so why not.

The day I went from "Pacific Rim is overrated" to "Pacific Rim is the worst thing that has ever happened to human civilization, I'm extremely normal about this" was the day I saw a Tumblr post suggesting we replace the Bechdel test with the Mako Mori test. Because Mako Mori has her own plot and doesn't kiss North Carolina at the end, making her a whole new type of feminist icon.

To which I was like:

We are talking about the same movie here, right? The Pacific Rim that can't even pass the Bechdel test? The Pacific Rim that's all about might-makes-right, the Pacific Rim that has ONE speaking role for ONE female character in its (from IMDB) 50-person cast? The Pacific Rim that repeatedly puts its only female character in danger and has her rescued by first Idris Elba then North Carolina? THAT Pacific Rim?

Is there a different Mako Mori I haven't met? Because the one I've seen a) has a character arc driven by deciding whether to obey her father or follow her heart, which is as inoffensive and stale as an unblessed communion wafer, b) does nothing that Ellen Ripley didn't do 30 years earlier, but with about 5% of the character depth Ripley got, and c) stands there in silence looking sad as two men punch each other over the question of her virtue.

Any post assuming this movie invented the idea of "small Asian woman kicks monster ass" needs to learn its damn history. Especially the ones acting like her being physically small is somehow a feminist bonus. There's something embarrassingly ahistorical about the whole thing.

And look. I get how we got here. I know how easily Tumblr backs you into a rhetorical corner of "calling a story Good can never mean merely 'enjoyable'; calling a story Good must mean 'virtuous'". Until next thing you know you're arguing that actually, shipping Obi-Wan/Darth Vader is a net good for all of society, because gay divorced middle-aged tyrants who use supplemental oxygen and murdered their exes in a custody dispute over the one kid (out of two) they actually care about deserve to see themselves in sci fi too! You only end up in that corner because half the time you're arguing against someone who says that shipping Obi-Wan/Darth Vader is literally the same thing as supporting father-son incest, so your real reasons for shipping them (1. foe yay, 2. old man yaoi) seem wildly insufficient.

Much of what I see about Pacific Rim seems neck-deep in the "it's not allowed to be a Good Movie unless it single-handedly dismantles the patriarchy" fallacy. There's nothing progressive about shipping two dudes best known for chopping off each other's body parts with laser swords. And there's nothing progressive about a movie having its only female character hug the male protagonist at the end instead of kissing him. You're allowed to like a thing just because it's well-made, without acting like a bog-standard normatively-broey action flick somehow invented a new form of feminism. Anyway, "Pacific Rim is a perfectly fine movie" is the hill I will die upon, heretical though it may be.

oh, this is a fun thing to think about!

The stories:

'A Rose By Any Other Name' is like... something you'd see on Royal Road or Wattpad. It's certainly got its own following and some Patreon subscribers, but it's not super popular.

'The Lightbearer' is a first draft manuscript that has only been read by maybe five people.

Just realized this could be interpreted in two ways: 1) character A running into cosplay of media B, or 2) character A running into cosplay of media A.

So. We'll cover both.

Case 1:

Allison is good enough at remembering character/clothing descriptions to suspect if she's looking at a cosplayer, but even if her guess is confirmed, she wouldn't react very much. She'd be surprised to see any cosplayers at all, but at most, she'd react with a, "oh, huh, cool!" and then move on with her day.

Mina would be a little weirded out. The idea of any cosplayers at all is odd. Running into one would be unsettling and mildly suspicious, especially if they adhere strongly to the 'character description', aka exactly the image of them she has in her head. It would require investigation. Someone's been spying.

Case 2:

Allison would be freaked out. She'd be seriously freaked out. If she hasn't discovered the manuscript already, she'd probably figure this out now, and she would not jive well with the idea she's fictional. Even if she's already accepted this, it's unsettling for her to see people around dressed up like people she knows.

Mina would find this deeply funny. Like, once she got over the surprise to begin with, she'd be like, "Well this might as well happen" and have a laugh about it.

Low-key feel like the universe looked at how og lloyd treated both of (what could be seen as) his younger brothers (even tho I'm p sure he never saw Javier as a younger brother) and went "hmmm. You want to be an only child. Wish granted!" And then suho is left to go "WAIT. I DIDN'T MEAN IT!" but it's too late and he has to wait to transmigrate back to laurasia to get Javier and Julian back lol

it may very well have yeah!

and no yeah he almost definitely never saw javier as a younger brother which is insane to me because how could one see baby javier and not immediately want to adopt the heck out of him.

like. look at him.

absolute baby. how could you not love him.

in the au where lloyd transmigrates to their childhood he's absolutely thrilled about this development. he gets two (2) baby brothers and he gets to skip the crying and screaming baby stage. this is a win-win for him.

but anyway coming back to what you said, i can absolutely see it being a thing in canon! the similarities and parallels between og!lloyd and suho's lives are way too strong to just believe they're just random chance so i think there was some sort of,,,, interference there.

it just feels like too much of a coincidence that suho's life equipped him with the necessary abilities to save his new family, made him relive the pain of losing his parents by suicide and struggle in a way that made him appreciate the luxury of being able to live a comfortable life with his loved ones the way og!lloyd never did. so him being an only child and consequentially longing to have a younger brother after spending his previous life abusing and tormenting the one he had feels like it fits perfectly with everything else he has going on.

and it's actually really fucking sweet how happy suho is about getting a little brother, he's like genuinely elated and delighted when he gets julian to like him. he barely even pays notice to the RP he gets from julian that's how excited he is about it.

which. yeah does sound like something an only child would feel lol

and it is canon that lloyd thinks of javier as something close to a brother after the years they spent together. which is very poignant if you subscribe to the headcanon that the reason og!lloyd mistreated javier as kids was because he felt like arcos was semi-adopting him and was jealous of the attention javier as getting. like,,, at least in this life they got to have the close bond they could've had if og!lloyd hadn't been a little brat and had accepted javier as part of the family

so yeah! i think it's a very valid headcanon to have, it fits perfectly with everything else going on ajshdka

​Oh don't worry! Akari does help free Ingo from Giratina, although the battle to do is... well. it's quite something. Good thing she doesn't have to fight Volo in this AU too, because she's definitely going to need a fully healthy team to have a chance in hell against them!

as for Arceus... there is not much Arceus can do. With the rift over Hisui, it prevents them from directly interfering, so all they can do is send a Champion and give them their blessing, so that they may overcome any trials that they might face. Akari doesn't even get the benefit of having an Arc-Phone in this AU, since Arceus has no way to communicate directly with their chosen one... and no knowledge of the host that Giratina is using to walk the earth (or even if their suspicion is right).
