Everyone talks about "for the chance to be by your side, I would storm the black city itself", but I honestly think so much more often about what romanced Zevran says right after that if you refuse to have him in your party for the Archdemon fight. "Cruel to the end", with the saddest expression I've ever seen.

You stole his heart (he did not ask to fall in love) and then won't even allow him to be at your side for the end. Because you both know that even if you did the dark ritual, this might well be the last time you see each other. If you told him to stay back because that might be marginally safer, even worse, because what does he have to live for at that point if he survives and the warden doesn't? He'd much rather fight and die at their side. He'd storm the black city itself for the chance to be at their side! And they won't have him.

Healing/The Fade/Power

Process under the cut

I hade a few different ideas, briefly doodled. I considered the idea of healing whipping wounds on a fellow apprentice in the circle, or someone in the clinic, a brief idea had to do with helping a woman get an abortion. None progressed much. Then I considered the spell “panacea”, wondering if I could make use of it.

I’m much more satisfied with my final outcome, Justice “healing” a fade rift in Awakening as Anders watches in awe. My headcanon (stolen by @thethirdamells Accursed Ones on AO3) is that the rifts on Blackmarsh are closed by Justice rather than the power of Warden punch.

I really enjoyed the composition of this one, and am excited for tomorrow! (Also Vik let me know if I should do a @/ if I tag you in the future, cause gonna be real Accursed Ones will inspired a lot of these haha)

So, it’d be Ceren Tabris and Lucretia Mercar… my HoF and Rook.

Honestly, Lucretia would be star-struck since she had read the memoirs that were written by Ceren during the Fifth Blight. After all, she was only a child during that time. She felt empowered as a child, considering the fact that an elven woman had managed to save all of Ferelden.

Ceren, on the other hand, would be thoroughly amused by this. She’s around her mid-40s, married to Zevran Arainai, and a mother to a teenager - so, she’s understanding as to why Lucretia is so excited, since her own child grew up wanting to learn more.

One thing they would be able to converse about that they’d have in common is how their significant others had worked/currently work with the Antivan Crows…

So, yeah, I’d definitely be fine. I’m not sure if we’d all walk away as the closest friends, but it’d certainly be interesting to see a character who was once incredibly hot-headed (Ceren) and the other who remains optimistic about situations (Lucretia). ^•^

YEEEE, I really need to prepare for the upcoming days but I’m having difficulty. Also @andersweek2025 since they mentioned wanting to also be tagged. Now then

Once again inspired by the beautiful Accursed Ones in the concept stages, as Merrill is the one to gift a cat to Anders and it’s absolutely precious. Then I considered my Warden Stellan gifting the cat. Which quickly reminded me of the line where Anders references having to bring Ser Pounce A Lot to the deep roads. So! This is them in their downtime in the deep roads together.

Now you might be curious about the how this is safety, but to me they’ve carved a small moment of safety out in the depths of evil. Also I will fight you, to me Awakening is the best example of found family in the dragon age series. They do love each other to ME.
