Character Biography Under the Cut
The eldest son of Lord Dalton and Lysa Farman, Rodrick is 19, and much more interested in the arts and books than sailing, much to his father's disappointment as one of his three sons to nearly twice as many daughters. Because of this he has no ship of his own, but serves as his brother Toron's First Mate on the Cursed Emerald. Rodrik has infamously inherited Dalton's talent for romance and is rumored to hold various courtships around the Red Keep; some in need of moon tea if whispers are to be believed. Unfortunately, his position as both an Ironborn and second son makes it difficult to seal any such match, though prospects on this front have recently begun to look up since his mother was officially granted her inheritance of Fair Isle and with Rodrik as her heir. Suggested faceclaim: Brenton Thwaites in Pirates of The Carribean

Lysa Farman
"They say she was always strong willed and when she fled from Fair Isle into the Red Kraken's arms, her strong will never faded but got only stronger with time. And if the rumors are true, in order to take back Fair Isle as the rightful heir, her strong will must be as strong as Iron since the time has come for her to take back what is rightfully hers."
Blog dependent on the rp blog: @asongofgoldenfireandblackblood
(Lady/One of Dalton Greyjoy's salt wives, Jodie Comer, she/her)
Welcome, Lady Lysa of House Greyjoy (née Farman)! We’re delighted to see she has arrived safely on her journey to King’s Landing. Around the court the nine-and-thirty year old has been praised as intelligent, brave and loving but some have whispered she is also rebellious, hot-headed and stubborn. Upon her arrival, it is clear that she is indifferent but moreso intrigued about the reign of Westeros' first Ruling-Queen and while the eyes of our court may be fixed on House Targaryen, Queen Rhaenyra, and the future of Westeros, her true allegiance will always be to her children, House Greyjoy and herself.
(Gisele, 26, she/her, est, no triggers)
Headcanons:
- Lysa is not just skilled at embroidery, but also penmanship and horseback riding. She enjoys gardening, playing card games or chess and cooking as well as exercising her keen eye for clothing. Had she not been born a lady, she'd probably have been a seamstress.
- Lysa is more of a witty strategist than a fighter. She prefers to fight with her mind and she exceeds at court... however that doesn't mean that she doesn't have any expertise with weaponry, nor does that mean she doesn't possess a mean left hook.
- Out of Dalton's other wives, she's not the worst gossip in the bunch but she's definitely a contender being the salt wife who gossips the most.
- She loves her children and she spends a lot of time with them and reads them stories.
- She is extremely supportive of Dalton and tries to sometimes help him with his duties. She has a bit of a silver tongue and knack for persuasion, so her talents are helping him with some of his courtly duties, especially dealing with diplomacy and the game of politics.
Rumors:
- She's planning on taking her rightful inheritance by force as soon as her father dies (true, however... she's getting impatient these days and wants what is rightfully hers, even if that means arguing her case via ravens she sends to Fair Isle.)
- She is rather catty with Dalton's other salt wives. (Partially False, she gets along with some better than others.)
- Her singing voice is not as good as you'd think it was. (Totally False, she has a singing voice as sweet as sin though she doesn't sing often.)

Lysa Farman
Dalton Greyjoy is looking for his salt wife: Lysa Farman.
The eldest daughter of Lord Farman and his first Lady Wife, Lysa is 39 and Lord Dalton's second salt wife with whom she had their son, Rodrik and a daughter, Perianne. It rumors are believed, she's planning to take her rightful inheritance by force as soon as her father dies.

Great! So Sansa will escape on direwolf Hound, the biggest, fiercest one... :D
Androw Farman and Lysa Tully’s deaths have a ton of parallels
Both poisoners who used Tears or Lys
Both had tearful confessions in front of their spouse
Both “jump to their deaths from a great height” in front of their spouse because they were in love with their spouse but their spouse loved their sibling instead.
Both live with someone named Alayne and are jealous of the affection their spouse gives Alyane over themselves
Both are jilted lovers by their current spouse
Both in love with their spouse but their spouse isn’t with them
Androw is described like Lysa “puffy, round faced, fleshy”
Awkward sibling parallels- Rhaena was in love with Elissa, like Baelish was in love with Catelyn but Rhaena married Androw just as Baelish married Lysa.
His words “my wife can fly, and so can I.” Did remind me of Robert’s “make the bad man fly.”
Literally right after this section it has 2 lines about Rodrik Arryn, a boy of 10, having come untimely into his lordship after the death of his uncle and father. (Which does remind me of Robert Arryn, a boy of 8, having come untimely into his lordship after the death of his father and uncle (by marriage).

If The Dance was written as POV chapters, who would you want to hear from and why?
Ooo I've done this for the Conquest and Robert's Rebellion but I don't think I've done it for the Dance.
I go back and forth on whether Rhaenyra would get a POV chapter - we don't get the king/patriarchs but we do frequently get ladies of all stripes whether they're the wives of kings and lords like Cat and Cersei, ruling ladies themselves like Arianne and Dany, or the daughters of ruling lords like Sansa, Brienne, Arya. I don't think she would but I'm still throwing her out there. Otherwise there's also-
DRAGON TWINS DRAGON TWINS DRAGON TWINS
Larys Strong - WHAT is cooking in that man's head!
Steffon Darklyn - I know he has some thoughts
Jacaerys Targaryen - THAT'S MY SON. THAT'S MY BOY.
Black Aly - I think she would be our insight into my boy Benjicot and the Lads and I think they're interesting PLUS "warrior goes on cross country road trip from hell with young child" is a tried and true trope George likes to do in this series and I think Black Aly/Benjicot really fits that. PLUS seeing that "road trip from hell" character help cause the hell? Chefs kiss muah.
Tyland Lannister - the torture chapters would be so much fun
Johanna Westerling - fuck Jason Lannister all my homies hate Jason Lannister he doesn't deserve his cool Westerling warrior wife!!
Sabitha Vypren - WARRIOR LADIES LET'S GOOOOO
Qoren Nymeros Martell - once again saying Qoren should have beena main character in HOTD and "fixing the mistakes of got" without addressing Dorne is half assing your narrative
Marston Waters - bastard on the kingsguard let's gooooo
Tess or Lysa Farman - being a salt wife is terrifying, being a salt wife to Dalton Greyjoy is probably particularly awful, I want to get their POVs during the war!
SYLVENNA AND ESSIE. THIS NEEDS NO EXPLANATION.
Helaena - but only the dreamer version of her thanks.
Addam Velaryon - i know his chapter on the isle of faces would fuck it up!!
also..
*pressing my mouth against the microphone and breathing heavily* dragon twinsssssssssssssssssssssss
#asks#anons#the dance of the dragons#i know we'd probably get aemond and daemon and daeron but. i don't care about that.#i couldn't care LESS about their povs actually.

The Ballad of Cersei Lannister
Woah-oh-oh-oh, oh, oh! Down on your knees before the Queen! Woah-oh-oh-oh, oh, oh! Down on your knees before the Queen!
Cersei Lannis was a popular bitch Hot bod, hot bro, cheer captain, plus she was rich That girl had everything till hiccup and hitch: Ellie Martell lost a leg in a wreck (Amputated!)
The nominations for Prom royalty came Our Cersei’s senior year and Queen was her claim Till gossip stirred the student body would name Ellie Martell Queen of the Prom (Pity vote!)
“Cersei,” her father said, “Life is a prom I know you won’t disappoint me and Mom...”
You taste the gold now, Cersei! You taste the crown! You thirst for blood from the roses in hand You spoil for sash and scepter, music to dance As they crown you queen of High School Land
(Check Cersei, choose Cersei, vote for Cersei Lannis-)
(-ter, Cersei, choose Cersei, vote for Cersei Lannis-)
So obsessed our Cersei near lost her mind To life un-prom-related Cersei was blind She shoved her squad, her clique, her boyfriend behind - Still Ellie had a hold on the lead (Poor, poor Ellie)
Soon Cersei’s sanity was hung by a thread Her BFFs proclaimed her socially dead Till then at last her boyfriend texted and said: “I’m taking Ellie to the senior prom” (Love, love, Ellie)
“Cersei,” her father said, “Why be so calm? There’s just no future for a princess at prom.”
You taste the gold now, Cersei! You taste the crown! You thirst for blood from the roses in hand You spoil for sash and scepter, music to dance As they crown you queen of High School Land
Woah-oh-oh-oh, oh, oh! Down on your knees before the Queen! Woah-oh-oh-oh, oh, oh! Down on your knees before the Queen!
Some girls are rational but Cersei was not She stared in mirrors thinking one single thought: (Ellie) There’s seven reasons this crown’s not good as got (Jeyne, Selyse, Lysa, and Lyanna) And so the night of prom, mercy! (Delena, Melara) Thus went her plot:
P is for Delena drinking poisoned punch R is for Lysa dashed on a rock - crunch! “O” is what Jeyne said when Cersei bludgeoned her brains And M is for Lyanna’s marinated remains
But! But!
Q is for Melara, quiet, drowned in the well And U is for Selyse’s pieces, sent to the Hells But Es are for the easy way in five minutes tops A one-legged girl can bring an N for end by calling the cops (What a bitch)
You got your gold now, Cersei, you got your crown You got your blood on the roses in hand You donned the sash and scepter, doing a dance As you crowned you queen of High School Land!
Woah-oh-oh-oh, oh, oh! (God save the Queen) Down on your knees before the queen (God save the Queen!) Woah-oh-oh-oh, oh, oh! Down on your knees before the (oh! the queen of High School Land!)
They wrapped your wrists in silver, they took your crown They washed the blood from each finger and hand Into a tight straitjacket Small padded cell Screaming “I’m the queen of High School Land!”
At least in your head, you’re queen of High School Land!
Oh pity the dead, you’re queen of High School Land!

La vida del Kraken Rojo está incluida en Sea Demons: A History of the Children of the Drowned God of the Isles del Archimaestro Mancaster.
Dalton Greyjoy, known as the Red Kraken, was Lord of the Iron Islands, Lord Reaper of Pyke, and head of House Greyjoy during the final days of Viserys I Targaryen and then the Dance of the Dragons. He is regarded as a great hero of the ironborn of the Iron Islands.
Dalton was a daring and bloodthirsty man. He was loved by his men but not by his wives, as he tired of women quickly.
The wild young son of the heir to Pyke, Dalton rowed at age five and reaved at ten, sailing with his uncle to plunder the pirate towns of the Basilisk Isles. By fourteen, Dalton had sailed as far as Old Ghis, fought in a dozen actions, and claimed four salt wives.
Dalton claimed a Valyrian steel longsword, which he named Nightfall, off a dead corsair. While fighting in the Stepstones as a sellsail, the fifteen-year-old Dalton avenged his uncle after watching his death. Because Dalton emerged from the fight drenched in blood from a dozen wounds, men began calling him the Red Kraken. Later in the same year, Dalton returned to the Iron Islands to claim the Seastone Chair after hearing of his father's death. Immediately he began to build longships, forge swords, and train fighters, citing that "the storm is coming" as the reason.
The Dance of the Dragons began after the death of King Viserys I Targaryen in 129 AC when Dalton was sixteen. The Red Kraken is said to have laughed after hearing of the outbreak of war.
The greens of Aegon II Targaryen offered Dalton the position of master of ships and the admiralty to replace Ser Tyland Lannister, who had been made master of coin, if Dalton would bring his ships around Westeros to battle Lord Corlys Velaryon, the Sea Snake. Instead of leaping to the offer, Dalton waited to see what the blacks had to offer. On the black council, Prince Daemon Targaryen suggested appealing to Dalton's bloodlust to bring him on the side of Rhaenyra Targaryen. Instead of asking him to sail to Blackwater Bay, Rhaenyra only asked for Dalton to attack her enemies.
The Red Kraken chose black over green, deciding to attack the nearby westerlands, vulnerable with Lord Jason Lannister campaigning in the riverlands. Jason's wife, Lady Johanna, barred the gates of Casterly Rock but was unable to protect the rest of the west. Dalton burned the fleet of House Lannister and sacked Lannisport, carrying off gold, grain, and trade goods. Hundreds of women and girls were taken as salt wives, including the favorite mistress of Jason and their natural daughters. Dalton led the capture of Kayce, and after the fall of Faircastle and Fair Isle he claimed four of Lord Farman's daughters as salt wives, giving the fifth, the "homely one", to his brother Veron. Lord Jason was killed in the Battle of the Red Fork in 130 AC.
For the better part of two years, the Red Kraken ruled the Sunset Sea like the ironborn kings of old, although he did not claim the title King of the Iron Islands. Ser Tyland Lannister and the regency of Aegon III commanded Dalton to cease his raiding, but the Red Kraken ignored them. When Lady Johanna Lannister began building a new fleet on behalf of her son, Lord Loreon Lannister, Dalton's ironmen burned her shipyards and abducted another hundred women.
Dalton never took a rock wife, although he had twenty-two salt wives and boasted of having a hundred. When Dalton heard of the Maiden's Day Cattle Show, he considered sending one of his sisters as a candidate to become King Aegon III Targaryen's second bride. After her westermen defended Kayce and slew Dalton's favorite uncle, Johanna sent a ragtag fleet to discretely invade Fair Isle. The ironmen ambushed these westermen, however, and Dalton sent the heads of Lord Prester, Lord Tarbeck, and Ser Erwin Lannister to Johanna at Casterly Rock.
After Lord Alyn Velaryon defeated the Braavosi fleet in the Stepstones during the Daughters' War, Lord Unwin Peake attempted to rid himself of Alyn Oakenfist by sending him to end Dalton's insurrection. Dalton responded by gathering hundred of longships to Fair Isle and the coasts of the westerlands. The Red Kraken intended to conquer the Shield Islands and Driftmark and sack Oldtown and Sunspear.
While sleeping in Lord Farman's bedchamber at Faircastle in 133 AC, Dalton was killed when one of his salt wives, the girl Tess, cut his throat with his own dagger before throwing herself into the sea. As the Red Kraken had never taken a rock wife, his heirs were two young salt sons at Pyke, Toron and Rodrik. Dalton also had three sisters and several ambitious cousins. Toron was only five years old, and within hours of the Red Kraken's death a bloody struggle for succession broke out among the ironborn. Hundreds of ironmen were killed as Fair Isle rose in rebellion. Faircastle held out for a time, but the castle fell after Gunthor Goodbrother slew Alester Wynch while fighting for another of Dalton's salt wives, Lysa Farman. Having arrived to find Dalton already dead, Alyn Oakenfist left a third of his fleet with the westermen and returned home for the crownlands.
In 134 AC Lord Jason Lannister's widow, Johanna Lannister, avenged Dalton's raids by having her men-at-arms sail to the Iron Islands with the fleet of Ser Leo Costayne, the lord admiral of the Reach. Among the ironborn slain were two of Dalton's sisters and nine of his cousins. His younger son, Rodrik, was taken captive, gelded, and made into Casterly Rock's new fool.
Dalton's sword, Nightfall, eventually passed to House Harlaw. The Red Kraken's life is included in Archmaester Mancaster's Sea Demons: A History of the Children of the Drowned God of the Isles.

IRON ISLANDS APPRECATION WEEK DAY TWO: Thralls and Saltwives
Falia Flowers is the bastard daughter of Lord Humfrey Hewett and the paramour of Euron Greyjoy. She believes that Euron will make her his salt wife and her sons will be before his other bastard sons. Falia states that Daenerys Targaryen will be Euron's rock wife and that Falia will be like a sister to her.
Victarion Greyjoy’s third wife was seduced or raped by Victarion's elder brother, Euron, becoming pregnant with his child. Victarion beat her to death with his fists and carried her body down to the rocks to give her to the crabs.
Lysa Farman was the daughter of Lord Farman of Faircastle. During the Dance of the Dragons, Lord Dalton Greyjoy captured Fair Isle and claimed Lysa and three of her sisters as salt wives, giving another to his brother Veron. By 133 AC two of her sisters and her father had perished. One of Lord Dalton's other salt wives, Tess, slit his throat, making Lysa a salt widow. The smallfolk of Fair Isle and the few knights that remained on the island rose in rebellion and killed the remaining ironmen. Though the garrison at Faircastle was maintained by Alester Wynch and Gunthor Goodbrother, the latter slew the former in a quarrel over Lysa. Lysa's fate after Johanna Lannister's liberation of Fair Isle and invasion of the Iron Islands is unknown.
Tess was a woman of humble birth, taken as one of Dalton Greyjoy’s twenty-two salt wives. Accounts differ as to what is known of her; whether she was thirteen or thirty, pretty or plain, virgin or widow, where Lord Greyjoy found her, how long she had been a salt wife, whether she was mad with jealousy or despised him for his reaving and raping. All that is known for certain is that she cut his throat open from ear to ear with his own dagger after he had his pleasure with her, then threw herself naked and bloody into the sea below in 133 AC.

Probably its just tinfoil, but name "Sansa" relates to "sun" and "Arya" to "Artemis" (moon goddess). I once read that during the long night, only Arya will provide light (play an important role), and Sansa will stay hidden. They didn't say (the post was more about Arya/moon) but then its obvious after the long night, the dawn, Sansa will rise and provide "radiance".
Without anything substantial to back it up, this really really is a feeling I get when reading the books, too!
Sansa will disappear at SOME point. Like she ran shrieking from the crypts when flour-covered Jon played a blood-thirsty spirit. Arya punched the spirit, Sansa fled, but is elsewhere paralleled to the “wise” Jeyne Farman who fled from Maggy the Frog and lives a happy life with many babies. Brienne spends all this time looking for her “sister”, Cat went to find her sister in the Eyrie, where Lysa had fled danger. Tyrion is obsessing about finding his wife Tysha. Comatose Drogo’s eyes followed the sun. Ned spent the tail-end of Robert’ s Rebellion looking to find Lyanna.
Someone will be missing and found at the end, and why not the Sun after the Long Night?
"You cannot come with me," Jon said, cupping the wolf's head in his hands and looking deep into those eyes. "You have to go to Castle Black. Do you understand? Castle Black. Can you find it? The way home? Just follow the ice, east and east, into the sun, and you'll find it. They will know you at Castle Black, and maybe your coming will warn them." (ASOS, Jon III)
East and east into the dawn, into the sun, and you will find home.
Arya is one incarnation of Lightbringer, 100%. You don’t get a magical stabbing, sneaking and warging training montage over 5 books for this to not matter. Her parallels to Dany, her parallels to Bran. The Stark look. Her half of the Girl in Grey wedding puzzle (shared with Sansa via Jeyne and Alys and Mercy), which screams magical death-dealing metaphor.
“This is a wedding, too, she thought.”
(AGOT, Daenerys X, while doing the dragon-waking funeral pyre)
Plus, the whole moonblood = lunacy = bloody, deadly madness theme we have going on. Sansa burns her bedding in a panic (fire and blood), menstruating Cersei and Jaime do it next to Joffrey’s corpse on the altar of the Mother, Dany miscarries while going dragon-mad in the grass desert, thugs accuse Brienne of being “mad with moonblood” and Arya is just about to approach that age.
Between Tyrion and Lord Stannis, everything I eat tastes of ash. And now you’re setting fires as well. What did you hope to accomplish?” Sansa lowered her head. “The blood frightened me.” “The blood is the seal of your womanhood. Lady Catelyn might have prepared you. You’ve had your first flowering, no more.” Sansa had never felt less flowery. “My lady mother told me, but I . . . I thought it would be different.” “Different how?” “I don’t know. Less . . . less messy, and more magical.” Queen Cersei laughed. “Wait until you birth a child, Sansa. A woman’s life is nine parts mess to one part magic, you’ll learn that soon enough . . . and the parts that look like magic often turn out to be messiest of all.”
(ACOK, Sansa IV)
Messy and magical..?
"Well," Arya said, "my hair's messy and my nails are dirty and my feet are all hard." Robb wouldn't care about that, probably, but her mother would. Lady Catelyn always wanted her to be like Sansa, to sing and dance and sew and mind her courtesies. Just thinking of it made Arya try to comb her hair with her fingers, but it was all tangles and mats, and all she did was tear some out. (ASOS, Arya VII)
Lady Catelyn (Stoneheart) will prepare her, because her encounter with Arya will probably turn Arya away from the dark path of vengeance. Our messy magical moon Arya is going to do epic things. On par with Dany the moon-egg cracking open to birth dragons. Only, you know, good.

Lady, Dalton Greyjoy's second salt-wife, and (disputed) heir to Fair isle, Jodie Comer, she/her -
Welcome, Lady Lysa of House Farman (married Greyjoy)! We’re delighted to see she has arrived safely on her journey to King’s Landing. Around the court the nine-and-thirty year old has been praised as intelligent, brave and loving but some have whispered she is also rebellious, hot-headed and stubborn. Upon her arrival, it is clear that she is indifferent but more-so intrigued about the reign of Westeros' first Ruling-Queen and while the eyes of our court may be fixed on House Targaryen, Queen Rhaenyra, and the future of Westeros, her true allegiance will always be to her children, House Greyjoy and herself.

Ravens to Cadwyn Farman, from his daughter and rightful heir Lysa: Raven #1... sent in 104AC
Dearest Father,
I know your heart is broken, but so is mine. I try not to write this raven in anger, but you know why I ran away. I love him and he loves me... something I now fear that you never did. You made your choice and now you must live with that, and I made my choice and I couldn't be happier. I pray to the Drowned Gods that when the time is right you will come to your senses and choose the child who is rightfully your heir... me. I wish you to always be in good health despite my absence.
All my love,
Lysa Greyjoy

Arianne Martell & Quentyn Martell, happier moments.
A Great Unrest
His death was a mishap, almost certainly, and it is written that Prince Maekar always bitterly regretted Baelor’s passing and marked its anniversary every year. (The World of Ice and Fire)
Maekar Targaryen marking the twelfth anniversary of his brother’s death, during the first year of his reign.
The Picture
Laena Velaryon, Laenor Velaryon, and a gift for their parents’ tenth wedding anniversary.
Remember Me (Chapter 3)
Mothers, daughters, and the words said and unsaid.
Chapter 3: Mellario of Norvos & Arianne Martell
Loren of the Rock
He was Loren the First and then Loren the Last, and in between, he fought the Targaryens and lived to tell the tale, a fate he sometimes considered to be worse than death.
The Son
And Addam Velaryon, lately Addam of Hull, sought out the Sea Snake after the battle; what they spoke to each other even Mushroom does not say. (Fire & Blood)
What was said and not said between Addam Velaryon and Corlys Velaryon after the Battle in the Gullet.
Unbetrothed
Lady Elissa had been twice betrothed, once at twelve and once at sixteen, but she had frightened off both boys, as her own father admitted ruefully. (Fire & Blood)
The two broken betrothals of Lady Elissa.
Or, how Elissa Farman frightened off her betrothed, not once but twice.
The Knighting
“Aegon is to return to my castle at Summerhall. There is a place there for you, if you wish. A knight of my household. You’ll swear your sword to me, and Aegon can squire for you.” […] “I will take your son as squire, Your Grace, but not at Summerhall. Not for a year or two.” (The Hedge Knight)
Duncan the Tall requesting a boon from Maekar Targaryen before swearing his sword as a knight of the prince’s household.
Onion Soup
[Stannis] sat at the high table as a dish of onion soup cooled before him, hardly tasted, staring at the flame of the nearest candle with those hooded eyes, ignoring the talk around him. (A Dance with Dragons)
Stannis, Davos and onion soup.
Nameday Wish
She remembered Ser Willem dimly, a great grey bear of a man, half-blind, roaring and bellowing orders from his sickbed. The servants had lived in terror of him, but he had always been kind to Dany. He called her “Little Princess” and sometimes “My Lady,” and his hands were soft as old leather. (A Game of Thrones)
Daenerys Targaryen, Willem Darry and a nameday wish.
Riverlings
Nonetheless, during all those years of Catelyn’s girlhood, it had been Brynden the Blackfish to whom Lord Hoster’s children had run with their tears and their tales, when Father was too busy and Mother too ill. Catelyn, Lysa, Edmure … and yes, even Petyr Baelish, their father’s ward … he had listened to them all patiently, as he listened now, laughing at their triumphs and sympathizing with their childish misfortunes. (A Game of Thrones)
The first time Catelyn ran to her uncle with her tears and her tales.
and they shall know you by your ghosts
When Alysanne asked if she would return to Greenstone, Rhaena shook her head. “There’s a ghost there as well. A kinder ghost, but no less sad.” (Fire & Blood)
It wasn’t so much that love ended. It was more the fact that it remained mired in the past. The ghost of how easy they used to be with another stalked them every step of the way, on this small island Larissa had made her new home.
The Banker
The Hightowers had not entrusted so much as a groat of their gold to the Lyseni, and thus remained one of the wealthiest houses in all Westeros, second mayhaps only to the Lannisters of Casterly Rock, and Lady Sam wished to learn how to put that gold to better use. Thus was born the Bank of Oldtown, which has made House Hightower richer still. (Fire & Blood)
Samantha Tarly and the founding of the Bank of Oldtown.
The Cold Light of Day
And yet it was to Archmaester Vaegon that the Old King turned now, summoning his last son to King’s Landing. What passed between them remains a matter of dispute. Some say the king offered Vaegon the throne and was refused. Others assert that he only sought his counsel. (Fire & Blood)
What transpired between Archmaester Vaegon and Jaehaerys Targaryen.
Clever Wives
Lord Redwyne was incredulous. “The Tyrells are dolts,” he said. “I am sorry, Your Grace, they are my liege lords, but … the Tyrells are dolts, and Lord Bertrand was a sot as well.” (Fire & Blood)
The Tyrells were dolts, it was sometimes alleged, but they had a knack for marrying clever wives.
Growing
“Egg wanted me to help him rule, but I knew my place was here. He sent me north aboard the Golden Dragon, and insisted that his friend Ser Duncan see me safe to Eastwatch.” (A Feast for Crows)
Maester Aemon and Ser Duncan saying goodbye at Eastwatch (and reminiscing about the first time they met).
The Sun and the Moon
Baela Targaryen, Rhaena Targaryen, Moondancer, Sundancer and Morning.
The Man Who Was Not There (Chapter 2)
Stannis Baratheon, Tywin Lannister, and a tense exchange during the wedding of Robert Baratheon and Cersei Lannister.
Chapter 2: Tywin’s POV
Remember Me (Chapter 2)
Mothers, daughters, and the words said and unsaid.
Chapter 2: Ellyn Reyne & Rohanne Tarbeck
