And truly the Nein are unfuckingstoppable, especially level 20, they are a mechanical beast of a party, they are truly the polycule of this fight, as Caleb himself said “Set ‘em up und knock ‘em down” in technically less then 4 turns(if you don���t count the little beau turn before fjord could stop her and talk to them) therefore in less than 24 seconds or a little more than 18 seconds, fighting THE moon’s baddest poly hive mind IN THEIR OWN LAIR, against new types of attacks and spells and abilities they’ve never seen or know of, against lair actions and bunching them in AOE trigonometry bs, their big monk move of turning invisible didn’t help shit, with their wizard and cleric loosing 5+levels of spells each completely, their wizards mirror image not working once so taking all the damage, with one of their clerics not even having their armor equipped half of their fight, their rogue sluggish+exhausted+blinded etc, most of them exhausted, them literally betting against each other during the fight…

“…be okay?” Voices blended together as Marinette felt a light heaviness on her eyes. Her hand reached up towards her head as she tried to sit up, massaging her temples. Her eyes fluttered open as an arm reached out to stop her from sitting up.

“Shhh… it’s okay now, my lady.” A soft voice rang out into the room after Marinette groaned. Marinette saw the familiar brown hair before she noticed the eyes.

“Eloise?” Marinette stifled a gasp as she saw brown eyes crinkle in concern.

“My lady…” Eloise wiped a hand across her forehead, brushing her thumb against her skin. Marinette could feel the warmth in her gaze as the woman sat down on the bed with her. “Are you okay? How do you feel?”

“…Fine.” Marinette coughed, causing the woman to fuss over her again.

“I’m sorry, my lady. I shouldn’t have left you alone.” The woman mumbled, staring down at her hands.

“What do you mean?” Marinette sat up, staring up at the crouched over woman.

“I got you your papers and pens, but then I left you without anyone to watch over you.” Marinette’s eyes brows raised as she took in the information. So people doppelgängers took over would still remember what the doppelgängers did, but how much?

“You’re right.” Marinette slid her legs over the side of the bed, frowning. “You shouldn’t have left me alone.”

“I’m so sorry my lady.”

“But I’ll give you a chance to redeem yourself.” Marinette narrowed her eyes, trying to look strong as she crossed her arms. “Instead of this house, you’ll work for me, doing tasks I ask you to. And I won’t tell my father about you leaving me.”

“Okay, my lady.” The woman smiled at her as a screen popped up in front of her.

Marinette pressed yes, grinning as the woman gained a new, soft, red glow around her.

“I’d like to be alone now.” Marinette sat back down on the bed, arms still crossed.

“Just ring the bell and I’ll be there, my lady.” Eloise bowed, before getting up, heading towards the door. “…and my lady?”

“Yes, Eloise?”

“Thank you. For everything.” Eloise gave her a soft smile before closing the door behind her.

“Oh my kwami, Paris.” Marinette fell back into her bed, gasping loudly. “That felt so weird.”

“….”

“….? Paris?” Marinette got back up, looking around the room before she noticed a small doll that looked remarkably like Paris.

“How do you like this form?” The doll stood up, almost freaking Marinette out before she grinned. “I think it’d make sense for a young lady to carry around a doll.”

“Good idea, Paris. You look adorable.”

“Oh, and-”

The door swung open to her room as a grey haired young man entered, eyes narrowed at her.

“Your father has called, my lady.” The man was curt, dressed in a butler’s suit. Marinette felt her body instinctively shudder at the sight of the man.

“Understood.” Marinette felt the words escape her mouth before she even tried to say anything, with the man leaving before she reached the last syllable.

Soon, a group of maids entered and changed Marinette into a light purple gown, with hair tied up into two buns. Only one remained, Eloise, when they were done.

“Your father has missed you a lot, my lady. I’m sure he’ll be proud to see how beautiful you’ve become.” Eloise grinned, making Marinette take a soft breath before grabbing her hand.

“…what’s my relationship with my father like?” Marinette looked up at the woman, eyes wider than usual.

“…His grace didn’t meet with you often as you grew up, so I can’t say for certain. I’m sorry I can’t help much, my lady.”

“It’s fine.” Marinette tightened her grip on the maid’s hand. “Just lead me to him.”

“Of course, my lady.”

Marinette’s eyes fluttered around the halls as they made their way around the mansion. Marinette’s attention was quickly caught by a garden outside the window, one full of colorful flowers and a mermaid fountain- similar to that of the garden she was in before. Were dungeons based off of real places then? Why did they choose the locations?

But before she could be distracted by endless questions, a hand stopped her before she ran into a door.

“This is it, my lady. Are you ready?” Marinette squeezed the ‘doll’ in her hands before nodding.

“Entering, daughter of Duke of Eden, Marinette Von Eden!” A voice rang out into the room as the doors opened, revealing a large table with a grouchy man sat at the end.

“Girl.” Marinette’s eyes went wide as she took in the sight of Tom Dupain- one in a large suit and a mean look that was out of character for her jolly father. “I was told you awakened.”

“…” Marinette didn’t speak as she stared forward, tears forming in her eyes.

“Marinette.” He growled, standing up. “I’m speaking to you. Are you deaf?”

“No father.” Marinette spoke with wide eyes, voice breaking.

“Good. Sir John said you awakened.”

“He did, father.”

“Is it true?”

“I am.. not sure, father. What is an awakening?”

“Great. He said you had memory loss but didn’t explain to me that it made you an idiot.”

“I’m sorry, father.” Marinette looked down, staring down at her feet.

“Hold this.” He waved at a servant that stepped forward, giving Marinette a glass orb.

Marinette held it, a sudden flash of red and black appearing in the ball.

“He did not lie. You have awakened.” He said before a bright pink appeared around the orb, shattering it.

“Ah!” Marinette screeched as she fell backwards, glass going everywhere.

“You!” Tom stood up, hands slammed on the table. “What just happened?”

“I-I don’t know,” Marinette spoke.

“Not you! You speak!” Tom pointed at a servant that was dressed in red, green, and yellow.

“She has the gift of creation, my lord. And of the natural Eden destruction.” The servant stepped forward, helping Marinette up. “She also has a gift we have not seen before.”

“Are you saying that the orb you gave her would destroy itself like that because of her unknown gift? You gave her such a thing?”

“You gave her the orb, your grace. I only provided it. I will be reporting this to his majesty. We will be moving up the engagement date.”

“Leave!” Tom barked.

“Understood.” The servant bowed before disappearing into the shadows.

“Get the girl checked out.” Tom waved towards Marinette before leaving the room.

“Eloise… What just happened?” Marinette looked up at the woman, staring down at the broken glass.

The short answer is, yes! I haven't given them as much thought just yet but they do, somewhere.

(I saw your other ask about the misspelling and it's perfectly okay!)

The longer answer is that these characters aren't necessarily a team or know of each other just yet. I haven't named them either lol "Dream" is likely still thought to be dead just as Donovan was. "Ink" and "Error" are likely around somewhere but I haven't decided what roles they'd play just yet. Maybe "Ink" is an artist or something and "Error" is a critic?? The "Underswap" Kingdom definitely exists as most major AU's do in this world and I imagine "Blue" is a knight or something. Not sure about his brother yet either. As for "Cross"...ho boy, I have a lovely idea for him... Ever heard of LVL 20 Cross? I might toy with that idea if I ever think of a way to include him.

Shez (Three Houses Unit)

For the Ashen Wolves route I'm creating, Shez may end up being a character within it (if this were something I could actually make, they'd be a playable unit). As a result, I've attempted to adapt them into a Houses unit based on what they can do in Hopes.

This is going to be a long post because I've thought about this perhaps more than I should have. Also - a lot of this will be subject to change depending on how the Wolves Route stuff ends up unfolding. This is just what I've got so far :3

Forgive the probably weird formatting - I'm on mobile browser.

Shez will be an optional unit recruited via a paralogue battle. Their gender will be determined through a dialogue prompt in a small cutscene before the fight (note that their gender will have no effect on the game outside of appearance. They can be S-supported regardless). This paralogue is unlocked shortly after the timeskip.

When recruited, Shez will have two unique classes. One is unlocked upon recruitment and is their default class (Fluegel), while the other is unlocked by completing a separate paralogue battle that appears a bit later on in the story (Asura).

Shez's sword will work how it does in Hopes and share qualities with whatever the other sword you have equipped.

With that background out of the way, here is Shez's unit information:

Personal Ability - Shadowflash (Unit is capable of dashing at incredible speeds, granting them cavalry type movement regardless of class or terrain).

Default Abilities - Sword Prowess Lvl 3 / Reason Lvl 3 / Authority Lvl 2 / Rally Strength

Default Combat Arts - Wrath Strike / Grounder

Default Learned Magic - Blizzard / Banshee / Mire

Default Skill Levels and Strengths/Weaknesses:

(Those listed above are just specific combat arts/spells the unit can learn. Unit will learn all other abilities as anyone else would as long as they are not unit specific. All combat arts/spells were cross-referenced with the ones Shez can learn in Three Hopes).

Unique Class Information:

Fluegel (Unique, Advanced) - A dual wielding class exclusive to Shez. Speedy and strong, this class excels with swords. This class can also use magic.

Class Abilities

Vantage - Allows unit to attack first regardless of speed/combat initiation.

Axebreaker - Grants Hit/Avo+20 when using a sword against axe users.

Class Mastery:

Ability - Dual Wielder's Ploy (Increases unit attack range)

Art - Shadow Slide (Allows unit to warp to an allied unit on the field (3 uses per battle))

Asura (Unique, Master) - A dual wielding class exclusive to Shez. A force to be reckoned with, this class boasts a mastery of swords and is highly skilled with dark magic. (Unlocked through paralogue battle, Overcoming Destiny)

Class Abilities:

Vantage - Allows unit to attack first regardless of speed or combat initiation.

Axebreaker - Grants Hit/Avo+20 when using a sword against axe users.

Heartseeker - Adjacent foes receive Avoid-20 during combat.

Class Mastery:

Ability - The Creation (Prevents foes from instantly killing the unit)

Art - Shadow Slash (Allows Shez to unleash their power for a devastating blow. Ignores target's resistances and has a chance to instantly kill non-commander units (6 durability cost)(Asura Only))

For Shadow Slash, it is essentially supposed to be their warrior special in Hopes.

The Creation had two possibilities, one was what is listed and the other was 'Grants Def/Res/Luck+10 during combat. Please let me know if you think the alternative works better! :D

(As a side note, I'm aware that Fluegel technically counts as an Intermediate Class in Hopes, but for the sake of Houses story progression and when Shez is actually recruited here, I've changed it to be an Advanced Class equivalent).

What type of Keyblade wielder would Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy and Shadow be?

Do you mean like...what kinds of medals would they be or what kinds would they use?

Honestly, while I played khux to the very end, I almost never looked at strategies or worried about what kinds of medal combos I had. Largely I used my strongest medals and changed them out only if I needed a specific typing or specifically either uprights or reversed medals for missions. So I don't really have ideas for what medal lineups they'd use or anything, but I can perhaps talk about what kind of medals they could have/be, which khux keyblades would be interesting to pair with them, and how I think they'd fight as keyblade wielders?

Sonic

As a Medal:

Now, since there are multiple kinds of medals involving the same characters for khux, I'm not arguing that this is exactly what he would be like if there was a medal based off of him. Rather, I'm sort of coming up with an idea of a medal depiction of him I could see happening

A medal I can envisioning of him would be an upright medal with him doing the Sonic adventure pose

So upright, speed type attack medal

With that being said, I can also very well envision a medal for his special form induced by prism energy at the end of prime s2 as well

Khux Keyblade:

All in all, he'd probably have Starlight. But, for no particular reason, I think Missing Ache lvl 25 would also be cool for him to wield

Fighting Style:

Like Sora and Riku, I think Sonic would be the type who learns to fight on the fly. No real basis learning from another wielder, he just develops a style by fighting others or getting out in the field. With that, I think Sonic would very well combine his natural speed and abilities with the usage of his keyblade for melee attacks, and I think he wouldn’t practice or use magic attacks especially often. I'd probably use his fighting in satbk as a reference while also factoring in how keyblades are able to disappear and be resummoned, which would give Sonic a bit more freedom when fighting with them.

Tails

As a Medal:

While there would undoubtedly be speed type medals of him as well, I envision a upright, magic type medal for him with this pose/image (2d SA2 render)

I can also see there being medals of him holding the Miles Electric as well (for a general medal) or with the Cyclone

Khux Keyblade:

Stroke of Midnight (either lvl 20 (pictured below) or lvl 25)

I don't have a lot to explain for this other than that I'd be purposely tying Tails to the concepts of dreams and beliefs in the context of Cinderella and kh.

Fighting Style:

Tails can fight more up close, but I largely see him doing this when he's doing combo or trio attacks (such as with Sonic or with Sonic and Knuckles for example). More often than not, I see him utilizing magic attacks with his keyblade and growing far more proficient with spells than Sonic.

Knuckles

As a medal:

Upright, power type. There are a number of Sonic Adventure renders I liked, but to keep with the pattern of the other two, I'm gonna go with this pose

There would undoubtedly be a medal where he's standing/posing with the master emerald in some way I think😂

Khux Keyblade:

Hmmmm I know this is probably a bit of a cop out

But I'm going to go Olympia (lvl 3). I'm not really choosing Olympia for the Hercules angle as much as I'm going at it from an aesthetic point of view. I feel like he's someone who would have a bigger keyblade, being a power type fighter.

Fighting Style:

Like with Sonic, I think most of Knuckles' keyblade experience would be out in the field or from just sort of practicing against homemade dummies on Angel Island.

However, he seems like the kind of guy to me who opts to use his knuckles and raw power more often than not, only resorting to using a keyblade when the situation calls for it or he has no other choice.

As a Medal:

Upright power type as well. Like the others, I'm going with this specific pose type from the Sonic Adventure 2d renders

I think there would also be at least one medal of her in a fighting stance with her hammer as well

Khux Keyblade:

I know that Divine Rose is the easy choice, but with my (admittedly small) collection of keyblades to choose from, I decided to go with Fenrir. Like with Knuckles, I saw her having a bulkier keyblade, but (even though it would match her aesthetic a bit better) I didn't want to repeat keyblades in this list, which is why I didn't go with Olympia. Fenrir (lvl 25 in this case) does NOT match her aesthetic, but I think it would be hilarious if she pulled it out.

Idk maybe it's a different color or she decorates it or something 😂🤷

Fighting Style:

I'm not sure how comprehensible this is, but something like Lea's.

I'll explain the best I can.

A friend of mine explained Lea's fighting style in kh3 as a style clearly influenced by his chachram wielding muscle memory. So, like that. I think Amy would be a piko piko hammer wielder first, and a keyblade wielder second, so you'd be able to see this influence in her style. Like the others, I think she'd sort of learn and develop her style on the fly rather than being taught, but I can see her doing a bit of research and replication of fighting styles to add to her keyblade wielding after the fact.

I think she'd primary be a melee fighter, but (unlike Sonic) I think she'd try to develop at least basic proficiency with most well known magic types/spells with her keyblade. So she can do basic cure and does have some spells she likes over others, but Tails is by far more knowledgeable and experienced when it comes to this.

Shadow

As a Medal:

While there would undoubtedly be power type versions of him, I'm going to go with reversed, speed type.

Khux Keyblade:

Dark Maw (lvl 35 (pictured below) or lvl 20). This one could be a cop out too, but I honestly just like the aesthetic of it with him😂. If I had more choices though, I'd actually go with a pair of keyblades that resemble Roxas's pairing of Oathkeeper and Oblivion

Fighting Style:

Honestly, while he'd be another character who develops his style in the field on the fly by fighting a number of opponents (and taking advantage of raw talent), I can see him being a dual wielder in my mind's eye. Ik ik if this was some specific au I'd have to determine how (in this case, whose heart is living within his), but it’s not. So suspension of disbelief in use, Shadow would be a dual wielder to me.

Like Sonic, I think he too would make use of the ability to summon his keyblade at will, and so would combine his natural speed, power, and chaos energy skills/attacks with his usage of melee attacks.

Unlike Sonic, he also would become proficient in some magic and make use of it occasionally. Due to his high healing factor, he wouldn't bother learning cure magic until taught later, but I can see him becoming proficient in magic he's naturally adept with or likes specifically. He probably knows dark firaga.

Second batch of the day!

So, some context. The creator of these avatars had made the Sans' a bit before the Papyrus'. The day the Papyrus' were made public, a small handful of my friends and I went to the creators avatar world and had a fun little photo shoot.

I don't think they have any toggles, except maybe SugarBerry (Swap Sans).

The world has three rooms:

• The main room/spawn point with some Homestuck avatars

• The Trickstertale Room (it is quite brighter in this room than the others, so be careful) with other Trickster avatars (like Nightmare, Error, Ink, and Geno) and a FellSwap Sans.

• The G!FellSwap brother's house that has somewhat their take on the G!FellSwap brothers as well as some of their OCs and a slightly hidden Asriel.

I don't have any pictures of the other Tricksters, but I do have some of the G!FellSwap Papyrus that I'll share at some point. (Might be my next batch)

BIOGRAPHY.

OVER A THOUSAND YEARS AGO, a famine swept the young nation of Meket. Kheprer, strange beetles from the Negative Energy Plane, had somehow crossed over. They burrowed into the rich, black soil and sucked the very life from it. Though they moved slowly, they were indomitable, and their corruption was nearly impossible to cleanse. Crops failed, livestock withered, and people starved. Some said it was a punishment from the One Above for the death of the One Below. Other said it was a punishment from the One Below for going astray. Others still labeled it a conspiracy of this group or that. Whatever their origin, one thing was clear: they would quickly be Meket's ruin.

Serot was no more than a boy when they appeared. He belonged to a massive family, even by Meketi standards. Twenty siblings, forty-nine maternal relations, and nineteen paternal — all living as closely as possible. He loved it. But, the famine made it nearly impossible for them to feed everyone. No one wanted to part, but the alternative was starvation. The youngest children were fostered by relations or close neighbors. Those old enough to care for themselves found they must do so, though family made arrangements where possible.

Serot fell into the latter category. He was twelve years old when he found himself apprenticed to a ghul lord. As the death toll rose past what Meket could manage, so too did the restless dead. There were none better equipped to address this problem than ghul lords, whose number were then too few to meet demand. A few particularly skilled individuals were even able to ward off the kheprer (though nothing could be done once they had struck). His mistress was one such individual. He traveled with her across the country, learning the craft through practical application.

Whether by raw talent, firm dedication, or a combination of both, he proved uncommonly adroit. He innovated as he learned, thinking always of a way to end the famine and return to his family. Within eight years, he had managed it. The kheprer were creatures of negative energy. Manipulating that energy allowed him to command them. There was a limit to how many he could command and how he could direct them — he was yet young, after all — but it was the turning point.

Monarch Meresankh took notice. All resources were placed at his disposal to rid Meket of this menace. His first act was to trace the origin of these creatures as near as he could. They had burst from the earth in a small farming village, overwhelming the inhabitants and reducing it to a ghost town in a matter of days. No one had been brave enough to enter since. Serot set about investigating the ruins and questioning the dead. But, he did so with uncommon compassion. He squared away any unfinished business or promised to. He prepared their bodies and buried them with respect. He gave them peace in their deathly torment.

It was this that caught the eye of Refhremmit. The spirit of that small land was the only being left to mourn them. Though sickly themself with the kheprer's rot, they honored the dead who, in life, had honored them. They communicated with Serot at first indirectly. They led him to particular places, sent him signs, gave him tests, watched him. Satisfied as to his character, they finally entered his dreams. An agreement was made. If he would lead the kheprer there, Refhremmit would lend their power to bind them. There was no guarantee it would work, but it was their only chance.

Serot then set out to gather every willing ghul lord. Together, they shepherded the kheprer toward the town, and there they were bound. Not gone but finally contained. Priests came behind to cleanse the land and get food growing again. It would take time to heal from the damage, but at least it had become possible. Serot was appointed the Spiritual Advisor to Monarch of Meket, and became a living legend.

His experiences during the famine and its aftermath had shaped him, however. Particularly the loss of his family who, by the time he was able to return, were dead or scattered. He founded the Anactaci: an order of priestly necromancers who would shepherd the dead, comfort the living, and commune with all souls and spirits. He broke ground on the first and grandest City of Eternity, which would house the dead, over the ruins of Refhremmit's town, and the kheprer were set as eternal tomb guardians.

But, the deeper Serot delved into this work, the more his health suffered. It was not merely stress that affected him but the Plane of Death itself. The more he called on it, the more it drained his life. All the more when Meresankh made an ill-fated choice, and Serot bound their souls in an attempt to save them. Refhremmit helped him counter this by deepening their bond, twining them closer til they were almost indistinguishable, but even that could only do so much. Finally, Refhremmit proposed that Serot should truly join with them. Let their spirits merge. Let Serot be freed from earthly trials. Together, they would guard the Cities of Eternity and shepherd souls onto the afterlife. This would mean his death, but he was already dying. What sweeter rest than that in the arms of one who loved you well? In a ritual combining both marital and funerary rites, he gave himself to Refhremmit.

The outcome was not what they had anticipated. Rather than merge, they were tethered. Serot's soul was unable to pass on; one half was tied to Meresankh and the other to Refhremmit. Thus he has been reincarnated repeatedly throughout the ensuing centuries. He has been every combination of gender identity, social class, profession, fortune imaginable. Sometimes famous, sometimes obscure, sometimes tragic, sometimes triumphant: the only true constant has been Refhremmit.

As Refhremmit has accompanied all of his lives, so have they accompanied all of his deaths. At last, they exerted all of their power over the bond to affect the cycle of reincarnation. It could not be broken but Serot could be reborn. In the body from his first life (with only a few alterations) and all the grave goods Refhremmit deemed necessary, he awoke blinking beneath the Faerûnian sun.

Alas there is always a catch. He remembers he is from Meket on the continent of Zakhara. He remembers he is (was?) a member of the Anactaci. He remembers a cool voice calling him Serot. All else is hazy. He was nabbed by the Nautiloid shortly after and infested with a tadpole. As he seeks to unravel the mystery of the Absolute, he must likewise unravel the mystery of his identity.

Zoomed out shot of Wolf, Lyse, and Alisae at the entry of the Ruby Sea in their swimsuits preparing to swim across. Narrator - “This silly shit needs no intro other than - Wolfram dated Raubahn Aldynn in their 20s. Thancred and Pipin are the only people who were told.”

Wolf standing closer to the dock. Lyse points to Wolf's RA tattoo on his lower torso and grins - "Hey Wolfie! What is that? Someone's initials?" 

A) Wolf turns red, surprised, looking down at his tattoo. Thought - ‘The hells?! No one has asked me directly before!' B) Instinctively covers his tattoo with left hand, puts right hand to his head and smiles awkwardly - “Wh-what that? N-no!”

Wolf puts on a fake confident smile and crosses his arms - "Of course not! You think I'd be foolish enough to tattoo someone's name on my body? No - It's just the start of a name. It was going to say uh… Rhalgr!"

A) Alisae crosses her arms, tilts her head and raises an eyebrow, looking at Wolf’s face. Thought - 'Surely he can't think we'd believe that.' B) Lyse smiles, eyes fixed on Wolf’s tattoo - "Oh! Of course! As a fellow Ala Mhigan you must have decided to show appreciation for our patron deity! But why is it only two letters? …and the wrong ones at that."

A) Wolf explains smugly - "Well, not all of us had a quality Sharlayan education you know. As for why it is incomplete -" B) Wolf smiles broadly and gives a thumbs up - "- part way through I decided the gods are all dead!" Thought - 'Nice save!'

A) Alisae and Lyse stare at him with a very comedic WTF face. B) Wolf dives into the water.

Zoomed out shot. Alisae and Lyse shrugging at each other he swims. Alisae - "You didn't believe that either, right?"

A) Lyse laughs "Absolutely not! B) Lyse, very serious/determined expression - “We will get to the bottom of this! No matter how long I have to stare at that tattoo I will uncover who the mysterious R.A. is!"

Lyse cheering after Wolf. Alisae WTF face - "He's old enough to be your father!" 

Lyse ponders comedically - "Oh no, if my father had lived he'd be much older than Wolfie there…" Alisae facepalms. Thought - 'Ew'.

Lyse explains smugly - "One may go to the market and admire a work of art without wanting to purchase it themselves."

Alisae scoffs, watching Wolf swim - "I have little interest in art, but I do have a theory about the initials."

A) Lyse surprised - "Oh?! Do tell!" B) Alisae ponders - "It will have to wait as it involves explaining some strange things my brother told me about their travels in Coerthas and Dravania. Also, Wolf is halfway to the shore already."

Lyse - "Right, let's go!" They're jumping off the dock. Zoomed out shot.
