Was listening to psychocandy by Jesus and the Mary chain and I think for the 80s it’s a pretty solid and good album but I kinda just can’t get into it personally.

It captures the vibe of the 80s perfectly but like I kinda just think compared to other shoegaze albums there’s just better stuff out there I don’t know maybe it’s the vocals that really put me off.

But I won’t lie about how genre defining this album was. It set the tone for a lot of 90s shoegaze bands and I’ll give em their flowers but again it’s just not for me and I don’t necessarily know or understand why.

This song slaps though, it’s like this goth bauhaus shoegaze shit and it just sounds cool

Later down the line I’ll most likely give it (another) relisten just to see if anything changes but I kinda doubt it i don’t know. Maybe it’s just one of those things where you gotta listen to it over and over and then it just clicks.
