👕   ─  go out wearing matching christmas sweaters ( i dare you )
                                           ↳  from  @moonichor
Tumblr media Tumblr media
❝   C'mon -- I think it looks cute! And imagine the look on Noct's face when he sees this!   ❞   Prompto practically squealed with laughter. The joke was devious, but funny nonetheless. Lady Lunafreya didn't need much convincing to participate; all the same, he was grateful for her good-spirited comradery.
In their Christmas sweaters, both of them looked festive. The bright red one read 'I'm with stupid' and an arrow pointing. On the other, a bright blue background with snowflakes and a captioned picture of Noctis wearing reindeer antlers, which said, 'I'm stupid.'
❝   I can't believe we're gonna pull this off --  'cause he can't murder both of us.... One of us is gonna have to take the fall... and I'm sorry to say, Luna, buuut, I think his Majesty is about to save his right-hand man, his best bud, his dashing partner in crime--   ❞    Chuckling as they walked, not realising they were indeed within earshot of the royal they were speaking about.

⋞⁘♔⁘⋟     As touching and heartfelt as that sentiment was, Ravus doubted that he could ever truly be transparent with his sister. He knew that she had his best interest in mind, but how could he speak of his discontents when she was much the source of it.
He loathed everything about her supposed Fate, her duties, her missions, and even the way she coddled that Lucian kingling as if he were some precious soul!
He despised the Astrals and their homilies and how she blindly followed their words. The way they played the Oracle like a game of chess twisted anger into the pit of his gut.
He was disgusted at the life they lived, that their futures had resorted to shackle-bound obedience.
All of it.
Tumblr media
"I... Thank you, sister," he whispered with a wry smile. "I will keep that in mind, but for now I will detain at burdening you of such." Nevermind that his anxiety was boiling inside of him and his head felt nearly dizzy from the spiral of it all.
He would ignore it. Just as he always did, bottling it away until the next time it spilled over.

— You lost! Show it! — Gladio shouted right next to [Reader's] ear.
— You cheated — she gasped, clutching the wooden sword.
— All's fair in love and war!
— We're not at war, we're just doing training exercises — the little girl replied.
She wasn't happy with the sparring result but she kept her promise. She rolled up her sleeve, revealing the tattoo on her forearm. The black line formed an ornately written "Farewell"
— I was hoping for something better.
— Do not get smart up. You don't have the skill yourself yet.
— It won't be easy to find a soulmate with something like that. I hope my skill will be better.
The girl didn't want to admit it but she was thinking exactly the same thing. Many people were given simpler instructions. She has always dreamed of a timer or a red thread. They didn't require much attention. Meanwhile, she was given a word that anyone could have said to her.
— Maybe I'll hear my soulmate say goodbye to someone? Or will this be a slogan describing our entire relationship? You know... we'll be such a nice couple that we won't want to be apart?
***
[Reader] stared at the three friends who had come to the training ground. She was glad Noctis wasn't with them.
She thought no one would come here in the middle of the night. She had been able to avoid meetings over the past few days but it seemed like that wasn't the case this time.
— I don't want to talk to you.
She swung her sword, practicing the sequence.
— Listen, you can just sit here for me but he doesn't want to go anywhere without you...
Gladiolus didn't finish his sentence because Prompto kicked him in the ankle with all his might.
— How can you say such things to a girl? — Prompto was outraged. — Sorry, I have to send a text message quickly. — He took out his phone.
Ignis looked at the other two and sighed. He adjusted his glasses. He felt the need to do this whenever he got irritated.
— Why are you avoiding the prince?
— Damn it! We all know why. We are not making idiots of ourselves.
King's Shield was tired. He wanted to put the whole trip behind him. Altissia was far from Insomnia. They had a long journey ahead of them and he felt like he was babysitting Noctis instead of preparing for it.
The prince insisted that he wanted to see [Reader] at his wedding to Lunafreya. He proposed it to her and she awkwardly excused herself and they haven't seen each other since.
— Wait... so we know why she's avoiding him? — Prompto frowned in concentration.
It took him a few seconds to understand what Gladiolus was talking about.
— Aaah... That's what you mean... — He tapped his forehead lightly.
— Let's end this circus. You're coming with us. Even the king said it was a great idea.
— He didn't give me an order.
[Reader] knew she was arguing like a little child but she had a hard time hiding her reluctance.
— Stop being so selfish! — Gladio knocked the training sword out of her hand.
He did it easily. He surpassed her in terms of physical strength. Not to mention his skills were next level.
He froze the moment he saw her face. The moonlight helped him see tears in the corners of his eyes. She turned her head to wipe them gently.
He felt guilty.
They had been friends since childhood.
— Damn it! — He pinched the bridge of his nose. — I'm sorry, okay? I'm just... fed up with it.
Ignis didn't say anything. He looked at him reprimandingly and Gladio realized that he was in for a good sermon. Ignis took an embroidered handkerchief from his pocket and handed it to the girl. She accepted it gratefully.
— It's not your fault... none of you... Let's be honest, neither is it Noctis's fault. But so what? Should I be a bridesmaid at a wedding I don't want to see? Watch someone I've been in love with for so many years get married? Congratulate my rival with whom I never stood a chance? I want Noctis to be happy but... that doesn't mean I have to watch it all.
The girl felt all the emotions she had been carrying since the announcement of the engagement slipping away. Grief gripped her heart and the words stuck in her throat. Her fingers tightened around Ignis's handkerchief. There was a deafening silence, broken only by the night chirping of crickets.
The friends looked towards the entrance. She followed their gaze.
He stood there.
— We'll leave you two alone — Prompto suggested.
He hoped [Reader] wouldn't find out that he was the one who notified Noctis via text message. Otherwise he would be in big trouble.
— I think we need to talk — said the prince.
— You didn't overhear everything? — she asked bitterly.
Blue eyes stared at her intensely.
— I want you to tell me about it properly now.
— NO. — She sat down on the stone wall. — Do you know why? Because it doesn't make sense. I won't change anything.
— You know...
— I know! You are responsible for Lucis... And you will be king one day... And you love Lunafreya... And we need this marriage...
Noctis looked at the brightly shining moon above his head.
It was as if in its light he could no longer hide anything.
He felt he had failed as a friend.
He knew for a long time. He just never wanted to let that thought come to the fore. It was easier to push it to the bottom of his mind and tell himself it was just a delusion. He was afraid to face a feeling he didn't reciprocate.
— [Reader], if you had told me earlier...
She felt a pang in her chest. He had no soulmate skill. Fate didn't decide for him. He chose Luna of his own free will.
— I wouldn't change anything. You love each other and I want you to be happy but please — she took a deep breath — don't make me go there. My heart can't bear it.
In her imagination she saw a beautiful bride. Blond curls were tied up in a high bun and the white dress rustled with every step. The Oracle held a bouquet of her favorite blue flowers as she looked for her fiancé.
Her fingers gripped the stone tightly.
He could give an order if he wanted.
— Then stay... but promise me our friendship won't end like this.
The prince felt that the thread that had connected them for a long time was breaking. He wanted desperately to save it, even though he felt it was over. All the years they spent together were gone.
— I promise that I will come after the wedding, together with your father, when I get myself together a bit. — She headed towards the exit.
— Farewell — he said with a slight smile.
She glanced briefly at the tattoo that had been with her for many years.
She didn't answer him.
***
— What is it about? — Noctis asked.
Ignis entered the room with a newspaper in his hand.
— Read it.
The Fall of Insomnia , said the headline. Gladiolus read it aloud, feeling growing anxiety.
— Is this some joke?
The prince wanted to tear out the newspaper and make sure he had heard correctly.
— There was an attack. The Imperial army has occupied the capital — Gladio continued. — The Treaty Room flashed brightly. Explosions were also heard. When the smoke cleared, the king was found... dead. — Gladio looked up.
— No... But... Wedding... Altissia...
— I know. That was the plan but... all the headlines in town can't be wrong.
Ignis looked at Noctis with regret. There was no way there could be a mistake.
The boy felt his heart beating fast and a cold sweat break out on him.
— Liars! — he shouted. — We have to check that.
— Shall we turn back? — Prompto assured.
— Yes.
***
— Betrayal! Protect His Majesty!
[Reader] managed to kill three opponents before she fell to the ground. Lights flashed all around and a loud explosion deprived her of hearing.
She put her fingers to her chest in surprise. A red, sticky liquid flowed from the deep wound. She tried to make a sound but was interrupted by darkness.
***
— Maybe these will be the last words you hear from him? He'll see you and decide it's time to say goodbye or something — he laughed.
— Gladio, I'm going to kill you!
— I'd like to see you try — said the new, short, dark-haired boy.
He poked his head out from behind one of the pillars and curiously walked to the middle of the training ground.
— I think it's time for me to introduce you to the spoiled prince. Noctis Lucis Caelum and his titles that I don't feel like listing...

Ignis Scientia x reader
Warnings: Fluff, rejection
Requested by @batsandbirdsposts
Tysm for making this request! I hope you like it!!! (I’m sorry it took so long 😭)
————————————————————————
Tumblr media
Stepping outside, you stared out at the sky full of stars above. Even if they couldn’t deliver any comfort tonight, you needed this moment to clear your head.
Then you heard the soft crackle of the fire. When you turned your head, A small luminescent campfire glowed at the center of camp. Ignis was sitting next to the flame.
His features were softened by the glow of the fire. A soft streak of light highlighted his face. His hair was disheveled, contrasting with his usual spiked pompadour.
He looked content… almost ethereal, like some sort of celestial being. You approached slowly, to not startle him, “Hey there, Specs.”
He didn’t look surprised when he caught sight of you and simply said, “Care to join me?”
As he gestured towards the ground, you walked towards him and sat next to the small patch of grass he was patting.
Ignis shifted into a more comfortable pose before breaking the silence with his eloquence. “It’s not like you to be up so late…” Looking directly at the embers of the campfire, he continued. “Is something troubling you?”
“I could ask the same,” You tried to give him a smile despite the abrupt awkwardness in the silence.
For a short moment, Ignis said nothing. He kept his gaze firmly planted on the embers as they rose into the air. “It’s been difficult to fall asleep lately…” His voice softened, then so did his eyes as he looked at the sky.
A sigh left your lips as you ran a hand through your hair. “Same here… Something’s been on my mind.” You swallowed hard, almost too afraid to admit it.
You fiddled with your hands in your lap, staring at the fire alongside him.
His gaze drifted from the stars, towards you, and settled on your face. It seemed as though he wanted to say something else but he refrained. He merely kept his eyes on you, a silent plea for you to continue.
So you did, “It’s about Noct…” you paused, taking a deep breath. “How much I care about him.”
Ignis observed your face, his eyes boring into yours, which somehow brought you comfort. He sighed quietly, “I think we all feel that way…” He glanced at the flames dancing in front of him.
After a few moments, his voice returned to normal, sounding distant. “Perhaps you shouldn’t dwell on your feelings… But don’t forget who you are. We will never lose Noctis, but we should not hold onto him so tightly.” A faint hint of concern shone briefly in his eyes. “We all love him…” Then he added in a softer tone, “even if he has trouble showing it in return.”
That statement gave you pause.
“That’s not what I meant-“ You said, trying to explain your point of view to him. But then you realized that you weren’t even sure what you meant. “I just… wish things were different.”
“You wish he would’ve chosen you instead of Lunafreya? You have feelings for him, do you not?” He interjected with utmost speed and punctuation.
You shook your head vehemently. “Not really. I mean, yes. Of course, I do. But that’s not the point.” Iggy’s glass fogged up with surprise, but it was only faint. “What exactly is the point of this talk, (Name)?”
“I don’t know…” You replied truthfully, looking anywhere but at him. Silence descended on the two of you again. You leaned backward until you were laying flat on your back, staring up at the black sky. You felt yellow all over, going stiff from the anxiousness.
Neither of you spoke until Ignis broke the silence once again. “Do you love Noct?” His emerald gaze fell upon you once more. The question caught you off guard not because of its nature, but because of his tone when he asked. He sounded anxious.
It sent a shiver down your spine, making you want to curl into yourself even further. You wondered if you should lie. “Well… I… uh…” Words wouldn’t come to you. Cottonmouthed, all you could manage was a defeated sigh. “Yes, I love him…”
At that simple answer, Ignis visibly relaxed, although you could tell the tension in his shoulders wasn’t entirely gone. “I see,” he muttered softly.
The fire was beginning to die out, getting dimmer and dimmer. “And yet, you do not pursue anything. What happens to the relationship between you and him if you keep waiting?” The fire cast eerie shadows over both of you; the flickering light made it seem like the two of you were facing each other.
You slowly rose back into a sitting position. “I want to tell him, I do. But…” You paused again. The words stuck in your throat.
“But I don’t think it would go well.” You balled up your fists against your leg, looking at the ground sheepishly.
Ignis draped an arm around your shoulder and pulled you close to him. “A confession isn’t guaranteed to change the circumstances. All one can do is hope. That hope may be futile, but that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be attempted.”
You leaned your head against his shoulder, shrouding yourself in silence for yet another long moment. “How do you get to be so wise, Iggy?”
As expected, a warm chuckle escaped his lips. “Human nature I suppose.” He squeezed your shoulder gently before releasing his grip, “Though I’m not as knowledgeable as I seem.”
He turned his head slightly and looked at you. Although it might have looked innocent, it held the slightest trace of worry within it. “There are times when people need encouragement to make their way forward. And I am always here to assist.”
His expression softened, turning gentle.
You smiled weakly in response. Just after a while, he stood up from the ground, looking down at you and offering his hand. “Get some rest. Tomorrow might bring with it many chances for you.”
The next day, you woke up with a heavy feeling inside your chest. The sun shone brightly through the tent flap, painting everything orange and yellow.
It was a new day, and you were brimming with confidence thanks you Iggy’s encouragement.
Leaving the tent, you immediately searched for Noctis. Though he wasn’t at the camp when you searched around.
Noctis was sitting near the lake’s shore, holding a sword in the palm of his hand as he watched the water. He looked like he was roughed up pretty well; no doubt he was training with Gladio all morning.
Seemingly lost in thought, the prince had a vacant look on his face as though he was thinking deeply about something. Every so often his hand would run over the blunt end of the blade before looking at the lake once again.
His features were hardened by the reflection of the lake on his skin, shielding the scenery around him in a soft blue dye. His eyes were narrowed with a cold expression that gave you butterflies just by looking into them.
Hair disheveled, and skin covered in bruises, Noct managed to look as majestic as ever.
After a few moments of watching him silently, you took a deep breath and decided enough was enough. “Hey, Noct.” You greeted him in a cheery tone as you approached him.
At hearing your voice, Noctis looked up and blinked. “Hey,” he managed in an exhausted tone. There were dark rings under his eyes; not having gotten enough rest either. And didn’t seem to be in the mood to talk.
“Gladio beat your ass again?” You chuckled softly with an amused smile tugging at your lips as you crossed your arms.
Noct only scoffed and rolled his eyes at the comment, planting his sword on the ground. “Only cause he’s a monster. All about ‘power’ and ‘strength’… Stuff like that…” He groaned as he stood up, rubbing the hell out of his sore neck.
Stepping away from the rock you were just leaning on, you moved closer—leaving enough space between the two of you. “I could give you some pointers if you wanna try again-“ At the utterance of your suggestion, he cut your words short.
“Yeah right. I’m done.” He interjected almost comically, sitting on the grass and then falling onto his back. “I don’t think I can take any more of this.” He threw his arms out, causing the grass under his arms to rustle.
A small laugh escaped you as you sat beside him, looking up at the clouds in the sky, which appeared to be forming a perfect circle. “It’s only for a little while longer,” You turned to him with a hopeful look in your eyes.
“Once you get married…“
Suddenly the air was taken from your lungs. Your body went rigid as the words registered in your brain. “Married…” You repeated much quieter; your mood turned sour.
Noctis seemed to sense your sudden shift, as his gaze shifted towards you, softening as he studied your reaction.
For a brief moment, you saw confusion and uncertainty flash across his face before he completed your statement. “Yeah… Once I marry Luna, we’ll have an advantage over the empire.” He raised a brow at you as if you weren’t already aware of the fact.
You swallowed hard, trying not to grimace from the embarrassment you felt at the moment. “Right…” You managed to breathe out, clearing your throat. “Then you’ll be leaving… With her?”
Noctis raised both brows and leaned in your direction. “Of course not. Where did you get that idea?” Even though he didn’t sound annoyed, but rather curious, it still caused you to shrink down a bit inside.
You looked away, avoiding his curious gaze. “Nothing... just wondering…” An intense amount of heat flowed to your face, making you sweat.
Silence engulfed the pair of you again, and tension continued to grow stronger by the minute. It didn’t help that tears were beginning to spill from your eyes, yet you didn’t know why.
“What’s wrong?” He prodded, scooting closer to examine you. However, you were afraid of what might happen if you looked back at him.
You sniffled, “Because…”
Your head hung low from the embarrassment you felt. Taking a moment to wipe your eyes until they turned dark and puffy, you sucked up every ounce of courage you had left, forcing out:
“Because I love you.”
Noct’s hitching breath was uncomfortably audible, “What?” He was taken aback by your words. His body went stiff as he sat there wide-eyed and genuinely surprised,
“You love me?” He repeated a soft utterance of your words, leaning back on his palms and continuing to look at you. “Like, really love me?”
You only managed to nod your head. A few more minutes of silence passed before you began to curl up into a ball.
“I know it makes no difference when I tell you,” Your eyes stayed fixed on the grass in front of you. You couldn’t stand to even imagine the look in his eyes anymore. “But I wanted to.”
He sighed, running his fingers over the grass as he stared straight at the lake, “I always saw us as just friends. You, me, and the guys…”
Visibly uncomfortable with his choice of wording, Noct searched for a better term for his feelings. “I like you all the same.”
“As friends…” You returned in a gloomy tone.
“No, more than that…” He shook his head and waves his hand out in front of him like he was denying your statement. With a frustrated grunt, he forced out the only thing he would think of:
“I love you as a family!”
It didn’t hurt as much as you thought it would. The word “family” hit you right in the feels and almost brought fresh tears to your eyes, but the heartache was soon replaced with a wave of relief.
“That’s the only way I can say it,” Noctis showed a hint of remorse for making you feel upset. “Sorry…” His apology was genuine, though I necessary since he wasn’t at fault for anything.
“I’m sorry for getting all mopey…” You uttered in a quiet tone, calming yourself down until your breathing was even again. “I knew what to expect and shot for it anyway,” You laughed softly, wiping your tears on your sleeve.
You felt pathetic crying over something like this, but Noct was surprisingly understanding.
He stood up from the grass, offering a hand to you. You accepted it, allowing him to pull you up off the ground.
After brushing yourself off a bit, you glanced back up at Noct and saw that his arms were outstretched. An invitation for a hug—something he rarely ever did.
You took the chance, hugging him tight. Closing your eyes, you used the time to lean into him and let your bodies sync in both pulse and movement. You sighed,
“Thank you for listening.” You mumbled into his shoulder, holding him tighter with a tender embrace. He patted your back gently, saying nothing before pulling away.
You could tell by the expression on his face that he probably wanted to say something else but decided against it in the end. “You gonna be okay?” He asked awkwardly.
You nodded, “I think so.”
Walking back uphill to the haven, you noticed Gladio, Prompto, and Ignis packing up the camp as they prepared for the next voyage.
As they spotted you walking toward them, they waved excitedly, “Yo! You’ve been gone for a while now. Did something happen?” Prompto inquired, dropping everything as he faced you.
“Was just talking to Noct over there…” You pointed behind yourself, continuing to walk towards them.
As Ignis stepped away from his makeshift kitchen space, he stepped towards you cautiously. “How did It go?” He whispered, placing his arm on your back and leading you away from the earshot of the others.
“Guess.” You groaned, leaning into his touch; eventually pressing your forehead on the upper part of his shoulder.
“You knew what would happen and told me to talk to him anyway. You set me up.”
Though your tone was more playful than hurt, a small part of you regretted even confessing to Noct in the first place. If only Iggy never talked you into it.
You felt his hand travel up your back, slowly making its way to your head—where he stroked your hair softly. “My apologies… it is simply impossible for someone to predict what will happen in a situation such as this.”
His eyes seemed to smile at you, yet you could hardly tell through the tinted lens of his glasses.
Sighing, you closed your eyes tightly, feeling your stomach churning... “I knew how it would turn out, and still told him like an idiot…” You felt nauseous.
Ignis gave a soft chuckle, “Well… I’m sure he won’t hold it against you.” His tone was hopeful and gentle as he squeezed your shoulders lightly. He always tried his best to make you feel better.
You nodded absentmindedly. “Still sucks though.”
Ignis, still holding you close, brought you to his cooking space—he hadn’t finished packing it all up just yet. “It will get easier once you get used to it. If you need to talk, you know I’m always here.”
Your lips curved up a bit as you felt a warm feeling enveloping your chest. “Thanks.” You mouthed, stepping away from Ignis and taking a seat on a log.
He stopped in his tracks when he saw you sit down, anticipating your next action behind a blank stare.
“Gonna join me, Specs?” Tapping the space on the log beside yourself, you gestured at him expectantly. Ignis looked over at where the others stood, who were doing well on their own, before nodding and following your instruction.
As soon as he was seated, you reached over and grabbed his hand, squeezing it slightly. When you released it again, he looked down at his fingers and smiled faintly. The two of you sat together without saying anything, just enjoying a platonic moment of intimacy in silence.
The calm breeze gently blew through your hair, bringing with it a cool feeling, making you sigh content.
Once again you leaned against him, resting your head on his shoulder. It did feel like Ignis was the only one in the group who truly understood you. You could tell him anything so easily and he would listen with or without reply.
He would just listen with patience and understanding. That alone made you believe he cared about you, which made it easy for you to trust him more and more.
With his hand wrapped around yours, Ignis continued to rub soothing circles on your wrist, hoping that it would calm your nerves a little more.
You closed your eyes, humming softly under your breath and letting out a long breath.
The two of you remained in silent comfort and warmth, enjoying each other’s company while being able to do nothing but enjoy it.
When the others started to make their way back to join you at the camp, neither of you made any move to get up.
Instead, Ignis kept looking at you and smiling fondly as he watched you relax further into him. His hand squeezed yours again as he turned his head to look up at the sky.
Your breathing was growing softer and eventually, you fell asleep right on his shoulder. With a soft chuckle, Ignis continued to hold you against him while uttering quietly to himself:
“I love you, (name).”

“maybe, in another life” kisses: knowing that this is the last time you’re going to kiss them, and making it count. pulling them in and then away. parting, your lips lingering for more. Noctis and one of the chocobros? (Your choice🙂)
Coming up!
Tumblr media
The night had been filled with all the elements of life: sharing memories that had come and gone, both good and bad. Moments of silence and reflection on past deeds and regrets. Laughter and tears shed between four men who loved each other beyond words, having one last camp night before fate and the gods would shatter the bonds of brotherhood.
As the final embers in the campfire disappeared, Noctis felt his own spirit leave his eyes. Like the dying flames, he knew the night would set upon his own light. The final battle with Ardyn--the last of the Lucian kings--was around the corner: eight hours and counting.
He wanted to sleep, but what was the point when he'd soon have all eternity to rest? After confirming Ignis, Gladio, and Prompto were sound asleep, he left his chair and wandered off.
Noctis didn't stray too far from camp due to the daemons running around, but he gave himself enough distance to where he couldn't sense the presence of his friends. Sitting down on the edge of the cliff, he looked out into the desert of the Leide region. A warm wind coursed through his hair like fine fingers cradling every strand. He hoped the end would bring a similar peace. He even prayed the outcome would be the same for Ardyn. The crystal had shown the man's suffering to where Noctis didn't have it in him to hate his great uncle for his transgressions. Although, the thought of Lunafreya and her last words came and went through his mind.
"Soon, Luna…" He frowned, closing his eyes.
"Couldn't sleep either?"
Noctis jumped, turning his head as he saw Prompto's dark silhouette approach. He let out a breath of relief and chuckled. "I could've killed you just now."
"And after that wholesome speech you gave? That would've sucked!" Prompto laughed. He plopped himself next to Noctis, patting him on the shoulder and sighed.
"Is your mind traveling a million miles too?" Noctis asked.
"Yup!" Prompto nodded. "I keep thinking about the what-ifs."
"Dad would've said something along the lines of 'worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow, it only saps today of its joy.'"
"Did he get that out of a fortune cookie?" Prompto snickered. He let out a yelp as Noctis playfully slugged him.
"Y'know what?" Noctis scoffed, grinning as he turned his head to face him. "I wouldn't be surprised if he did!"
In between laughs, Prompto frowned. "I miss him a lot."
Noctis nodded. "Me too."
"Like…how I'm going to miss you." Prompto somberly replied.
A heavy air sat between the two friends as they both allowed one another to sit with their feelings. A tension had been growing ever since they had set up camp with Gladio and Ignis, and both knew it was coming to a head.
"Do you remember that time we stayed up talking on the motel roof?" Prompto whispered, breaking the quiet.
"Can't forget it," Noctis murmured with a smile. "This feels similar, huh?"
"Yeah," Prompto nodded. He bit the inside of his bottom lip, looking toward his feet dangling off the cliffside and continued. "I have something…just as big that I want to share with you."
Noctis frowned, turning his attention fully to Prompto. "I'm listening."
Prompto closed his eyes, gathering up his courage as he tensed his shoulders. He managed to force himself to look Noctis in the eye, vowing he wouldn't be a coward and swallow his feelings back anymore.
"When Regis told the gang you were getting hitched, I was happy for you. Hell, I was ecstatic when you asked me to come along with you, Iggy, and Gladio to the wedding. At the same time, I felt…jealous. Not only was my best friend taking a huge step, and I probably wouldn't see him for a long time, but also…"
"Prompt…"
"Look, when we lost Luna, I was devastated. I mean no disrespect to you or her. I just…gods be damned I wanted to tell you that I…ever since high school, I…" The words wanted to fall from Prompto's lips, but alas, his cowardice took hold and prevented him from trespassing any further. He sniffled, feeling tears brimming at the corner of his eyes.
"I can't do it…even knowing what's going to happen, I can't tell you how much I--"
That's when he felt it.
Noctis's lips pressed to his.
Eos, fate, and destiny, it all faded away as their mouths met each other's with tenderness. Soft and gentle, but as they both realized the depth of their mutual feelings, the kiss deepened. Emotions that had been bottled up at long last finally saw the light of day.
Prompto's heart pounded in his chest as Noctis pulled away. Breathless with their foreheads resting against one another, he started to cry as his smile grew.
As Noctis retreated a little more, he let out a breath through his nose and somberly smiled as he cupped the side of Prompto's right cheek.
"Maybe in another life," Noctis murmured. "This could've worked."
"Yeah," Prompto breathed, nuzzling his face into his palm. "Whatever happens, at least we had this moment."
"Let's make it longer."
They sat together--hand in hand--looking out at the desert landscape. The future was uncertain, but for now, they had found clarity and comfort in each other, and that was enough.

A Word in the Ear
Tumblr media
The largest noble family at current, the Vox siblings are all trained in the way of being the Ears of the King. However, some of them see their role or would-be role much differently than one another. It may be a duty one is proud to bear. Or perhaps it is a burden too heavy to want to lift.
Word Count: 2,764
Tumblr media
The hallways of the Fenestala Manor were cast in a mosaic of color -- light filtered in through the stained glass windows that told their stories. The man that walked down these halls was fully aware of these stories. He had to learn about them as he grew up within the walls of Insomnia. Each stained glass window depicted the myriad tales of the Oracles of Tenebrae throughout each of the generations.
He paused. He paused where he always seemed to on this route of his patrol.
There was a more recent stained glass window that had been installed over the last year. The man found himself surprised every time he looked upon it.
Upon the glass was a rendition of the current Oracle taking center, her hands locked in prayer as the sun's rays shone down upon her. Below her was the Oracle who could have been -- the Oracle who passed away. The Oracle who passed away was depicted as sleeping peacefully within the soil. Sylleblossoms surrounded the living Oracle.
Life within death. That was how the man viewed the imagery of the sylleblossoms surrounding the Oracle who lived. That, and the idea that the former Oracle was there to watch over and protect the younger.
That the Niflheim Empire would have allowed such a project… Word from higher up was that it was to keep Tenebrae from acting out.
So they claimed.
Footsteps echoed down the hall. The man adjusted his posture, and he steeled himself. For a moment, he considered straightening out his uniform that marked him as a high ranking official of the Niflheim Empire. The rhythm and the notable ‘clack’ indicated someone that either worked as one of the members of the Tenebraen council, or one of the residents of the manor.
The footsteps came to a halt, and the man soon looked over. A soft sigh of relief fell from his nose as he saw who it was.
“Lady Lunafreya,” the man greeted. He had conditioned himself not to do more than a stiff greeting -- much as he would have liked to have shown her the respect he felt she deserved. “It's unusual to see you without an escort.”
Unusual still was it that the manor grounds were so empty of even the few magitek infantry programmed to patrol them. Even if it was agreed that the manor would have only a couple dozen MT units, the man was always on his guard to play the part he threaded himself into.
“I've no need of them on my way for lunch,” Lunafreya replied. The man noted her well kept appearance; how she kept her hair pinned back, and her face applied with just some concealing makeup to hide any blemishes or proof of crying. Her clothes were also carefully picked and matched. She looked far too put together for a simple afternoon meal.
Lunafreya’s attention went to the window after she settled close to the man.
“You seem to pause here often, Aestus.” It was a casual observation from Lunafreya. Her voice was quiet so as not to travel to unwanted company. “Do you perhaps mourn for Stella? You knew her when you were children, did you not?”
“... We were close friends,” Aestus replied, equally as quiet as Lunafreya. His shoulders heaved with a silent sigh. “Part of me wants to be glad that she doesn't have to suffer through this. At the same time, her passing and the toll it took on Ravus still leads him to poor and brash decisions.”
“Ravus shows naught but contempt for me at times since Stella's disappearance.” Lunafreya’s gaze grew distant as she looked upon the stained glass mosaic for herself.
Aestus noted Lunafreya’s wordage and frowned slightly. He found it heartbreaking that she held onto hope that Stella was somewhere out there. However, he bit his tongue and stayed silent. He could only imagine that her hope was necessary under the conditions in which she lived.
“I can never be the twin that he lost, and he must view me as a villain for ascending to Oracle and taking her place in that respect…” Lunafreya continued. She drew her hands together, her attention never once leaving the mosaic -- or rather, the part of the mosaic that showed the Oracle who would have been.
“I wouldn't ever say he views you in such a way. He still cares for you.” Aestus returned his own gaze to the mosaic. “He lacks the ability to manage his emotions in a healthy way. But…he definitely still cares about you. If anything, he despises the thought of losing you, too.”
A soft hum of consideration was heard from Lunafreya. “I shall take your word for it. After all, the most I know these days are the walls of my gilded cage. Much as I would like to know the workings of my brother's mind, I can't say I know much more than the coldness of both his gaze and words in the time that he has become a tool for the Empire.”
There was a pregnant pause in the conversation between them as Aestus mulled over Lunafreya’s words. Her last statement struck him, and he cast his gaze downward to the marbled floor beneath him. Parting his lips, he finally replied, “hearing you say that makes me wonder if my wife and sisters think the same of me. You voice the concerns it pains me to think they might have in regards to me.”
“My apologies…” Lunafreya’s voice fell into a quieter tone.
“No, it’s nothing to apologize for.” Aestus drew himself back up into an attentive posture. “If anything, your concerns having been voiced so plainly remind me what I’m doing this for.”
Lunafreya flicked her eyes in Aestus’ direction before she looked back upon the mosaic. “I harbor no doubts of the capabilities of you and those back in Lucis who champion the same cause. I’m sure those you hold dear are fully aware of the stakes. Both for you and your home. I thank you for the risks you take each day in being here.”
A low scoff of amusement fell from Aestus’ lips.
“Have I said something funny?” Lunafreya asked, genuinely curious in her inquiry.
“It’s not that…” Aestus started in response. “The reassurance is appreciated. I just… Perhaps you should do well to heed your own words when it concerns your brother. If anything, perhaps play along with whatever he continues to show you in the way you know how.”
It was Lunafreya’s turn to scoff softly. Silence lingered once more between them. And then, turning toward Aestus, Lunafreya’s lips curved into a forced smile. “I fear I'm late for my lunch. I'm in need of an escort, after all. You’ve given me much to think about.”
The hint was more than obvious, and Aestus nodded in response.
“Of course. On your way, then, Princess…” Aestus swept his hand forward before Lunafreya started walking once more. Behind her, Aestus walked, ensuring a more tolerable venture for the Oracle.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Prince Noctis!” A young woman hurried along the walkway that led up to the Jewel of Lucis apartment building, waving to grab the prince’s attention. Her black hair was drawn back and pulled into a more professional-looking bun. She was dressed in a suit and pleated skirt, black in color, and her eyes were a bright green. In her other hand, she held a sealed envelope.
“Vera… What is it?” Noctis slowed his pace, his uniform looking lazily thrown and kept upon his person since getting back from his classes. He was without his usual company of the future Arms, which led Vera to believe they were preoccupied with other obligations.
“A report from my brother,” Vera replied, holding out the sealed envelope. It bore the Niflheim insignia upon it. The seal filled Vera with no amount of pride, but his work was just as necessary as hers. Even if she worried constantly about the ‘what if’s and ‘if that’s of his position being stationed in Tenebrae.
Reaching for the envelope, Noctis gave a slight, purse-lipped nod while then tapping it on his opposite palm once he took it. Vera knew this look of his; a common expression when he received something he was not looking forward to looking at. Certainly, it was no delivery of a red journal from a peculiar black dog, but it was still something that needed his eyes all the same.
“Has my father been made aware of Aestus’ report?” Noctis asked, turning his attention back toward Vera.
“Lyra has made her delivery to the Citadel so that our father can give it to the king’s hand himself,” Vera replied. She brought a hand up, idly brushing her bangs out of her face. “But, um…if you want the more heartening news that I'm sure you're more interested in: Aestus has told us that Lunafreya at least walks the Fenestala Manor grounds with some freedoms at least.”
A relieved sigh left Noctis.
“Yeah? That is good, at least… I hate thinking Luna has little to nothing to do while the Niffs have control over Tenebrae,” Noctis said. He tapped the envelope a couple more times against his palm before holding it up. “But I'll have a look at this. Thanks.”
Giving a small nod and then a slight bow, Vera waved at Noctis. “I'll leave you to it, then, Prince Noctis. I'm sure you have a lot to catch up on. Not to mention school work that needs tending to. Tell Ignis I said ‘hi’ when he swings by!”
“Yep.”
With Noctis giving the final word in their brief meeting, Vera turned back toward the pathway that led to the parking garage to get into her car and drive back home. She dared not turn back to see what Noctis was doing -- if he tore open the envelope after she departed, or was saving it for when he ascended the apartment building to deal with it in the comfort of his temporary abode.
Once within her car, Vera brought an earpiece up and inserted it. She dialed a number on her phone and waited as it rang. Once the line was answered, Vera perked up.
“Nebby?” Vera greeted, a wide smile upon her lips. “Just got done with my errand. Did you still want to head out for some lessons?”
“Aren't I getting too old for ‘Nebby’? It sounds like such a kid's name,” came the response from the other end. “I'm almost thirteen! I can become a Crownsguard at this age like you, Lyra, and Aestus!”
“Alright, alright… If you don't want to be called ‘Nebby’ anymore, I'll just call you Nebula,” Vera said, turning the key in the ignition and starting the car. “Still, are you up for some hanging out in the city and getting some extra training in? I have some vouchers for that gelato stand you like.”
A snort was heard from the other end.
“You sound like you're looking more forward to it than I am,” Nebula replied. “But…getting something from Gellati's does sound good. I guess.”
Vera balked as she exited the apartment's parking garage. “‘You guess’?” Vera parroted. “Well, then I guess both these vouchers are for me.”
“No! It sounds very good, actually!” Nebula quickly said. “I'll be at the citadel.”
“Good. I’ll brief you on our training regimen when I come pick you up.”
“Do we always have to be training? Can’t we just take time to enjoy ourselves a little? This could just be a day out for us as sisters to have fun and grab a cold treat on a hot day.” Nebula’s tone indicated some form of exhaustion, and Vera could picture the pout on her face. Vera could agree with Nebula’s wants and desires -- after all, Vera herself remembered when she voiced the same request in perhaps even the same tone to their elder brother once upon a time.
“I wish it could be different…” Vera replied. She kept her eyes trained on the road, doing her best not to allow her mind to wander too much. “Tell you what, though… We have the rest of the evening, I'll take you to the arcade and we can binge all the junk food we want after just a couple hours of our training. How's that sound?”
Nebula laughed from the other end.
“Okay, deal. That sounds awesome.”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The citadel was a lonely and miserable place as far as this teen was concerned. Much as she felt that was the case, she walked down the dark hallways, lit only by what felt like depressingly dim lights. In her hand, she held an envelope that bore the insignia of Niflheim.
Pausing, the teen looked at the envelope. It was so tempting to open it and view the contents within. She was not privy to the secrets it held. Not like her older sister. Being in possession of such concealed information made the secrecy of all of it that much more alluring to her. However, she sighed and restrained herself. It would have done her no good to get scolded by her father, let alone her sister.
Continuing down the hall, the teen soon came to a large, ebony door. She took a cursory glance around, almost as if uncertain she was at the right place even though she had walked these halls many times. She then read the placard upon the wall next to the door, scanning over her father's name in clear, crisp letters: PAX VOX.
Lifting a hand, the teen soon rapped her knuckles against the surface. No matter how hard she steeled herself for the response, however, the sudden, loud click of the door opening gave her a slight start. Thankfully, she was always able to recompose herself before stepping into her father's office.
“Lyra. I assume you're here with news from Aestus,” Pax said, almost surprised to see the young woman at his door. He loomed over his daughter, his figure wiry, yet imposing. His grayed hair was in the familiar style of a neat coif, and his black, Lucian Council uniform was perfectly snug upon his person.
Pax's appearance seemed a relatively far cry from Lyra's. She had thrown on a blazer, not having cared to adjust the shoulder pads evenly -- only comfortably. Her button up underneath was wrinkled around the collar. Her hair was in a low, messy bun, only barely hiding that she briefly brought a brush through it to tame any obvious tresses.
“... Yeah. It came in just this morning from one of our couriers,” Lyra said in response, doing her best to keep the tiredness out of her voice. She held up the envelope, passing it off to her father. Her eyes lingered on the envelope for a time, her attention more fixed upon the insignia of Niflheim than the whole envelope itself.
It was then that a question bubbled forth: “... Aestus will come back home, right? Safe?”
A frown creased onto Pax’s face, and he turned away from Lyra to return to his desk. Silence made itself known in the room, the only noise being the chair rolling out from under Pax’s desk as he took a seat. All the while, Lyra stood there, unsure if she should say anything further or simply excuse herself at that point.
“... I won’t try to instill a sense of hope, Lyra. If you have to ask, then you know full well the risks involved with his role at the Fenestala Manor…” Pax replied. “It doesn’t please me to think that your brother could come back in a bodybag, or not at all. He could come back missing limbs, maimed, bloodied, and broken…and I would take that over having him killed.”
Lyra looked down at the carpeted floors, her frown creasing.
“All we can do is have faith in his capabilities and what we’ve all trained to become,” Pax went on to say.
“Right… Of course…” Lyra quietly said in acknowledgement.
A sigh fell from Pax’s nose.
“I know this isn’t what you want to hear, Lyra. I know you and your sisters are close to Aestus -- and I simply don’t blame any of you with how it fell to him to look after the three of you,” Pax said. “I want desperately to tell you that everything will be fine. The truth is, that’s something even we can never know until we have the truth shown directly to us.”
“Yeah, I know…” Lyra said, her voice barely audible at this point. “I just…wish we didn’t have to do any of this.”

❝ i’m also worried about me, but i somehow seem to be worried about you more. ❞ and ignis @ ravus :3c?
Tumblr media
❝ DON'T. ❞ THE REPLY comes sharply and without hesitation, mismatched eyes fixing on ignis' face — studying, silent for a moment. ❝ i have no need for your pity. nor for you to risk your life to protect me. if we are to fight, you cannot split your attention elsewhere. ❞ as is inevitable in a world of gods and kings, a war is brewing. the niflheim loyalists have taken tenebrae as their new stronghold. with noctis and lunafreya gone, unable to return home without capture from the army he formerly commanded, ravus found himself lost, following at ignis' heels as the world began to rebuild what was destroyed by the gods' mistakes.
they are both adrift. ignis has his remaining friends; ravus has ignis, the burn of grief and fury in his chest, and nothing else. so he has made a decision: tenebrae will be his again. if he cannot find a way, he will make one.
he steps forward, lifts his hand to cup the back of the blind man's neck. ❝ you've no need to join me, ignis. it is not your war. ❞

Fic authors self rec! When you get this, reply with your favorite five fics that you've written, then pass on to at least five other writers. Spread the self-love ❤
<333!
Tumblr media
I've got two of you! which means I guess I have to do 10 fics and 10 writers we'll see if I can make that happen. Favorite fics I've written is really hard bc I tend to go through phases where I really hate my writing and never really fully am sure what to grab onto. I'm also restricting myself to only my main ao3- Aerislei.
BUT without further ado, in no particular order 10 11 recs from my writing under the cut. MOST are FF7 SephZack bc Im sure that's what you're both hoping for lmao but I do have a few other fandoms and non sephzack selections!
Captured in Wutai FFVII
Written for the Sephiroth Bang and while there are things I would different given the chance I LOVED this fic and how it came out. It meant a lot to me to write (mostly) true to how I wanted it to be even though it was kind of gritty and dark.
In the depths of the Wutai War, Sephiroth is assigned a young Second Class SOLDIER, Angeal’s protege, Zack Fair. Sephiroth doesn’t pay the boy much mind until the pair of them are cut off from the rest of their unit behind enemy lines. Injured and aware that the clock is ticking, the pair must work together to survive. Things get worse long before they get better, seeing as Wutai forces find them first. From there, it’s holding on long enough to try and find a way out - or for help to find them - whichever comes first.
Secrets and Fears FFVII
(Or: What if the scar from Modeohiem was the start of Zack Fair's healing factor beginning to break down?)
Friendships Forged in Fire FFVII
Incomplete but a Very fun concept and I'm working on the next chapter! Hopefully soon!
Prompt: Sephiroth is gravely wounded while on a mission with Zack, hindering him from being able to properly protect himself from the enemies/monsters they are fighting. Their friendship has been mending and blossoming ever since Zack disclosed what happened at Modeoheim, but now it’s the ultimate test of their bond as Sephiroth must put all his faith in Zack to get them home safely.
Pause, Rewind, Restart FFVII
Cloud and Marlene are visiting the church when they find themselves pulled backward into the past. With no way back home, Cloud sets himself to doing the best he can to make sure that this future goes better than the one they came from because he can't just do nothing.
Recordings for Sleeping FFVII
At first it had been disheartening - was he that boring to talk to? But over time, Zack had come to understand that it wasn’t that it was boring. It was that Sephiroth had come to associate Zack talking with a sense of peace and the fact that things were okay, so he could relax - and, subsequently, could rest. It was incredibly touching, now that Zack understood it better.
Saving the Hero FFVII
A pair of scenes centering in on Sephiroth saving Zack, and Zack - in his own way - saving Sephiroth in return.
Taking Care FFVII
A handful of short snapshots in which I attempt to depict Zack Fair and Sephiroth growing closer, slowly, through the lens of taking care of one another post-lab sessions.
Moments in Time FFVII
Five snapshots of times Cloud and Zack shared spaces together, threading together as their relationship develops.
Unrealistic Expectations FFXV
After nearly failing the trial of the Tidemother, Noctis stands precariously balanced between his duty, his emotions, and his body’s need for rest. The Prince fails to heed Lunafreya’s warning about taking it easy, and his friends find the hard way that Noctis hasn’t been truthful with them.
Keep the Home Fires Burning RWBY
PolySTQ, Summer returns to find things are not exactly the way she left them. Still, arriving in Atlas to the threat of open war with Salem with her daughter at the center of it all wasn’t what Summer expected. Qrow and Taiyang must face the fact that Summer has been returned with no explanation of where she’s been or why, all while navigating the tangles of their own feelings with each other, and the war with Salem.
Bonus:
The Draconian's Grace FFXV
Noctis asks for - and receives - a unique chance to go back to the beginning of his journey and change things (hopefully for the better). He's not alone in his journey, and it's that alone that gives him the courage to move ever-onward.

She hated her mother, she didnt know why she was doing this to her, why now? she stayed out of her life the day she divorced her dad. The only reasons they saw each other was because of Lumina and even now that was rare.
Apollo had sent her the picture of the invite
you are cordially invited to celebrate Princess Knight Liliana Lunafreya's twenty third birthday.
she didn't know what was more sickening her mother actually trying to celebrate her birthday, the fact that she wasn't even invited to her own party, or that her mother had the nerve to write Knight Liliana Lunafreya. that last name was enough to make her feel the need to vomit.
she threw her phone aside not able to even reply to that text message. how many people did her mother send that invite too. she doubted her friends got an invite, but she couldn't be sure, she wasn't sure what kind of game her mother was playing.

I came to show… My Tav's father??
Yes, that's a strange thing to say, but here's how I imagine the elven form of Rathial, father of Philrath, my Tav/OC from Baldur's Gate 3. I'm also here to compare him with our dear Half-Dragon.
Tumblr media
Rathial, in his elf form, used to give birth to Philrath with his mother, Presphine.
Tumblr media
Philrath, daughter of the mighty dragon Rathial with Presphine, a common High Elf.
Physics and Comparisons:
As you can see, they look very similar. But Rathial in this form has more elvish features, such as the ears, the face with more common eyes and, despite a yellow glow, he keeps his pupils rounded.
His horns were just "casualties", he wore them in his elf form almost like a crown, to remind him of his magical nature.
Another thing that's different is their faces. Philrath has dragon scales, coming from his draconic heritage, while Rathial, in his elven form of disguise, can naturally hide them.
But it's interesting to note this face painting, which makes a contour on the face similar to that of scales over a dragon's face. And the painting ends with sharp lines, almost like fangs.
Finally, I want to highlight the hair. His hair is much whiter and bluer, brighter and more magical. While Philrath's hair remains a lighter shade, as if they were more subtle lights.
A dragon and an... Elf?:
Rathial is a dragon, a powerful, relentless and magical creature. When he met Presphine, the two formed a bond… Complex. It's difficult to trace their feelings, but the Dragon knew what she wanted: a child.
In this elven form they consummated Philrath naturally. Dragons are beings that can change shape in a way that not all creatures can. Because they are magical, they can, using this ability, generate hatchlings with humanoid beings, as is the case with Philrath.
These hatchlings are the Half-Dragons, who inherit characteristics from their original races, while losing many of their aspects as well.
See more about the Half-Dragons, I used these links as a reference: DnD Wiki; Forgotten Realms Wiki; and I used the Homebrew DnD Half-Dragon race, which inspired the following mod that added this race to my game.
More on Philrath, Rathial and Icy Serenade:
You can read more about Philrath with my tag! And you can also read the fanfic about her to find out more about her, Rathial, their past and more. Icy Serenade in its own tag.
Icy Serenade - Summary:
"I don't know. I... I never imagined my scales feeling such a... sweet touch..." Philrath is a Half-dragon, daughter of a powerful White Dragon, destined to run and hide. One day, fate puts her in front of Astarion, a seductive and mysterious elf, who reveals himself to be a vampire. The two beings hide secrets and flee from a past and destiny that refuses to leave them in peace. Amid chains, scars, pain and fear, can there be anything good? Maybe it can, but to do that they will need to find themselves in the darkness. Will they have their freedom...? "Your scales and fangs... They're a gift, darling."

I know it's not #wipwednesday but since I haven't shared anything in a while, here's a little snippet of the next chapter of Full Moon Rising. Things are heating up, and not in a good way! 🔥🤭
"Gentiana," Noctis murmurs softly in recognition. “What… what brings you here? This isn't…" He trails off, unable to finish. Grief flashes in his eyes. For a moment he seems like he's going to cry.
“No need for concern, Prince Noctis," Gentiana tells him kindly. "My being here is simply a formality. I know grief weighs heavy upon your heart. I hope that the knowledge that Lady Lunafreya successfully crossed over and now resides with her ancestors is a comfort to you. She is at peace."
Noctis looks resigned. "Queen Sylvia knows."
“It is not my way to keep secrets from the people who deserve the truth,” Gentiana replies simply, her expression turning grave and solemn. "What has transpired is a tragedy, and a great loss to all of us. She pauses. Her gaze lingers on the two boys. “May I offer a little advice?"

Kinktober Day 22 Sexting/ Phone Sex
So the pic to this is *spicy* so it's under the cut.
But it does feature Pelna Khara, (whose likeness comes from Tausif Patel- who is actually pictured as he is in real life) from FFXV Kingsglaive and his gorgeous wife Yasmine (face and body cast as Priyanka Chopra Jonas) who is studying to be an OBGYN at Miracles Hospital where Pelna got hired on in IT by Sylva Nox Fleuret-Caelum because she just...adopts everyone who is even remotely her children's ages, who in my universe are young adults. In my Magic and Miracles modern EVERYBODY LIVES AU. Because Final Fantasy has this thing where they just...kill everyone off. So this is my middle finger to canon going 'screw you- these precoius cinnomon rolls are going to be protected and live the dream and live happily ever after, so there' *sticks tongue out at canon*
a jagillion thanks to @starsandskies for her kinktober prompts. These have been so fun.

Kinktober Day 22- Sexting/Phone Sex
‘Good morning Handsome’ Yasmine texted her husband as she got home from medical school and came home to their condo complex that they and all their friends were leasing condos together in the same complex and even had side by side condos. She pulled in already seeing Pashmina's car probably already in the garage while Gladio's Sherrif's SUV was already in the driveway and he was inside his condo with Pash as they were making dinner together and it smelled amazing.
But Yasmine, didn't have the strength or energy to cook. She had an extra long day, both in classes and in clinical hours and she was just plain exhausted. So she parked inside the garage and smiled bittersweetly at her husband's car. Because while his car was there, he was not. And while it had only been several hours since they kissed goodbye, she missed him something terrible.
She came inside and stopped at the laundry room and immediately took off her scrubs and put those into the washer with extra disinfectant since it was a messy day in the OBGYN today.
She looked at the time and she supposed it was supposed to be early morning, where her husband Pelna had flown overseas- just as she was getting ready to go into class that morning but while it was late evening for her, it was surely early morning for him where he was right now.
‘Good morning Beautiful’ Came Pelna’s immediate reply.
‘You’re up really early already. So what’cha got going on today?’ Yasmine texted him as she went through their condo in nothing but her bra, camisole and underwear before she snagged a pair of short shorts to put on to serve as pajama bottoms.
‘We have that presentation at the World Health Organization with the Eurpopean Union and then some more meetings with other nearby hospitals’ Pelna responded.
‘Sounds like you have a full day’ Yasmine noted as she rummaged through the fridge to find some left overs so she didn’t have to cook dinner by herself for herself from scratch.
She found what she wanted and quickly put it into the microwave to reheat. Something she missed about having her husband home was whoever got home first got to make dinner.
And with Pelna flying with ‘Mom and the boys’ meant that she was on her own. Since Pelna got flying privileges as Sylva’s on staff IT Manager. Pelna did IT at Miracles Hospital, where she was currently doing her medical school and training and getting her clinical hours at the hospital.
And she was grateful that they could at least work together in the same place, even though Yasmine was training to be a doctor, an OBGYN specifically.
But with Yasmine being “adopted” by Sylva as well, meant that Pelna- also being in association with Tredd, Luche and Nyx and Ravus, Ignis and Noctis, meant he was one of the many “boys” Sylva practically adoptedtoo.
But Sylva had practically adopted her too way before she did Pelna because Pashmina and Yasmine had gone to Tenebrae Prep with Lunafreya and Ravus and Stella Nox Fleuret and at the time, Pash, Yasmine, Lunafreya and Stella all wanted to be doctors. Sylva herself was a doctor and the CEO and owner of Miracles Hospital and Sylva employed Yasmine's father as a Pain Specialist. And Pash had wanted to be a Pediatrition. But with Pash being squeemish, she ended up being Sylva's personal assistant instead. And actually made more than she would have being a Pediatrition at the hospital anyway. And she got to stay close and learn the ropes of being an Executive Assistant to the CEO.
But when Ravus and Luna transferred from Tenebrae Prep to Lucis High, while Sylva and Regis were dating and then got engaged and then married soon after. Lunafreya got triple credits for working as a medical assistant to the football team along with assisting a Chiropractor too.
So Yasmine and Pashmina transferred over to do the same and Yasmine got there just in time to do the same for Lucis High soccer team, which Pelna played both football and soccer.
They had actually first met at Sylva and Regis’ wedding since Yasmine’s father was a doctor at Miracles Hospital and were very good friends with Yasmine’s family. And since Yasmine and her family were Indian, they wore their traditional wedding saris to Sylva’s wedding.
And it just so happened that when Pelna came into the wedding with Tredd and saw Yasmine, Stella introduced them and he complimented her on her sari and they just happened to also speak not just English, but Hindi, Punjabi and Marathi. And when Pelna spoke those languages to her, her and her family immediately offered for him to sit with them and eat at their table. Since he was clearly Indian himself but had been wearing a western style suit to Sylva's wedding.
And Yasmine was used to guys hitting on her- all the time. Hell Gladio had even taken a shot at flirting with her but she ripped him a new one for it. But with Stella of all people claiming that Pelna was actually the opposite of Gladio and the nicest, sweetest, but also very intelligent but introverted and shy guy. Yasmine had looked over and agreed he was, actually really cute. And was ok with being introduced to him. And Stella was right on the money with Pelna. Pelna was everything both Yasmine and her family were looking for in a good match for Yasmine.
He was very intelligent, he was very active, he was sweet and charming and yes he was a geeky nerd sometimes. But his own dad was an IT manager at the largest tech company around. And their families actually had mutual friends that could vouch for both of their families to the other family. And Pelna had been the perfect gentleman for Sylva's wedding. He spoke several languages, he, being Hindu himself, worshiped at the same temple, worshipped the same gods, so they had the same religion. And the only way they had not met before was because his family just went on a different night than Yasmine and her family did. And after that, Pelna was Yasmine's date to all of the other weddings before they had one of their own.
Pelna's parents were actually overjoyed for it. Because to them Yasmine was the bride of the millenia and were eager to welcome her into their family the same way Yasmine's family had welcomed him into theirs.
And from there, once Sylva noticed the attraction, she did everything she could to help Pelna, including hiring him for IT at Miracles Hospital and letting him buy Yasmine’s wedding ring which was worth way more than Pelna could ever hope to afford but she only charged him a dollar for it. And with Sylva’s support getting Pelna hooked up with an amazing job with amazing benefits and with helping and supporting Pelna to get all the certifications he needed to be the IT Manager that he was now.
Pelna’s family and Yasmine’s family were more than happy to give their blessings and stamps of approval and were married shortly after graduating high school in between graduating high school and starting college. Much like their friends had done.
And they had settled into life as a married couple, both of them pursuing their careers instead of having children right away, which especially for Yasmine was extremely important to her. Becuase she wanted to graduate medical school and at least get to be a Resident OBGYN at Miracles before she would have any child of her own. Which Pelna was happy to do. And was happy to let her take all the birthcontrol she wanted or needed so that neither of them hindered or interfered with the other's work and career.
‘I do, but we still have a few more hours before it’s day here’ Pelna texted.
‘Did you get any sleep on the plane?’ Yasmine asked.
‘Not much, decided to go over the presentation again just to make sure we have it down pat and I don’t fuck up any of the media while Noct, Iggy, Beavus, Sylva and Luche do the talking’ Pelna sighed as he laid in his hotel bed but didn’t feel tired, but instead, wished he could have asked for Yasmine to come with him for this trip. Because his body just couldn’t seem to settle down and find comfort enough to find sleep. He wanted to be home with his wife. He wanted to help strip her out of those dirty scrubs and make dinner with her or have found some way to get her to come with them. But she couldn't miss class or clinic, not when she really needed to be in those classes and get those clinic hours.
‘So where are you now?’ Yasmine texted.
‘At the hotel. Presentation is in 4 hours which means we have to leave in three but I can’t sleep for anything. Because I’ve gotten used to sleeping with My Wife.’ Pelna complained.
‘Aww, you poor baby!’ Yasmine giggled as she got her food out of the microwave before she sat down at the breakfast counter and dug into it.
‘I should have found a way to get you to come with us.’ Pelna insisted.
‘Yeah but then Selena and Ada would have wanted to go too and Pash didn’t even come so it’s literally just Sylva with her army of boys/employees. And we took the little jet this time so it was a tight squeeze already. Plus Pash didn’t want to push it with her pregnancy.’ Pelna sighed tiredly.
‘Well I actually saw her today for her check up. She’s doing really good.’ Yasmine offered.
‘Can you tell me so I win the pool?’ Pelna asked hopefully since the moment Tredd knew Pash was pregnant, Tredd started up a pool of what it was and when the due date would be set vs when Pash would actually go into labor, just like he had done with Crowe and Ada so far.
‘Still too early to tell.’ Yasmine grinned evilly because she and Pashmina went way back and Pashmina swore Yasmine to secrecy about the particulars. And Yasmine readily agreed because both for HIPPA and trying to some how try to get Tredd to lose the god damn betting ring. Because he and Sylva always put in their bets together and they always seemed to win. They had won with both Crowe and Ada and Pash didn’t want Tredd to win three times in a row. But Tredd and Pelna were also friends and Tredd had tried to sneak some insider info from Yasmine and she flat out refused and so to protect herself and Pelna, mostly from Tredd and a lawsuit regaurding HIPPA, she simply decided to keep her mouth shut about it until Pash and Gladio would announce it at their own gender reveal party in a few months, which Yasmine was helping to plan for her BFF Pash.
And just as Pash was done with dinner, a bath sounded pretty damn good right about now. So she put the dishes in the dishwasher and set it to run while she went upstairs to do just that.
She looked at the special shower head and got an idea before she went into the bedroom to get her waterproof vibrator, got undressed and washed her face from all the makeup she had been wearing and started a bath before she hit the Duo icon on her phone that would video call her husband.
“Hey, hey.” Pelna smiled brightly to see his wife naked and stepping into the bathtub.
“Hey, so since you are all alone and need some sleep, want to have some phone sex?” Yasmine cooed as she used the water as her lubrication and put the phone into a special waterproof pouch so that she could use the phone to get closeups under the water.
“Yes please!” Pelna nodded emphatically and stripped out of his pajamas and quickly got some hand lotion because that’s all he had on him to use as lube to see his damn sexy wife insert the waterproof toy as it turned on and started to pulsate in the water before she brought the phone out of the water so he could get a good view of his wife squeezing her own breasts as the hot water filled the tub up before she pulled the phone out of the waterproof pouch so that she could hear him and he could hear her.
“By Brahma…” Pelna began to speak in Hindi which got Yasmine to smile because when Pelna would speak in his mother tongue, Yasmine knew he was happy, or really excited as they cooed and said the same amazing things in Hindi that just didn’t quite sound quite right in English but between Pelna’s heated and heady voice and Yasmine’s own voice and she barely had the water turned off before it overflowed the tub, it was still so sexy. Even sexier even because Pelna's voice got that dark- growly sexy tone to it that Yasmine really loved.
Yasmine’s body shook when her first orgasm rippled through her and her keening cry of bliss was all that Pelna needed to shoot a large load of cum onto his own belly as he used a tissue from the nightstand to clean it up as Yasmine reached to turn the vibrator off and pull it out of herself as she simply laid there and basked in the afterglow.
“Are you tired now?” Yasmine asked with a pleasured and sated smile.
“Yeah, I think, I think I can get some sleep now.” Pelna agreed as his body finally felt tired enough to go to sleep now that he was sated.
“Not as great as the real thing of course. But I needed this, thank you Yas.” Pelna breathed out as he fought to catch his breath.
“You’re welcome. Get some sleep. You need it. I’ll see you the day after tomorrow. Be safe, I love you. You’ll do great.” Yasmine encouraged him.
“Thanks,” Pelna grinned before they kissed the phone screens and ended the call before Pelna got redressed and rolled over and finally got some sleep as Yasmine rinsed out the tub after draining it and then practically collapsed into bed herself.

Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia Dare to Defy Nyx IV Shinryu Quest
The final Dare to Defy event, Dare to Defy -The Battles’ End-, just started in the Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia (DFFOO) mobile game. This is a global original event that features 21 Shinryu (level 300) or higher quests.
Tumblr media
Sadly, the reason why this is the final or last Dare to Defy event is because DFFOO just announced that it will discontinue or end its service on February 29, 2024.
Tumblr media
The end of service announcement news came as a shock. I talk more about that in another post, but I really wish the news wasn’t true. Wish the game wasn’t ending at all.
Dare to Defy -The Battles’ End- Information
According to the in-game news:
Tumblr media
This final challenge features up to 21 quests and contains the bosses featured in Shinryu difficulty (or higher) quests from past story chapters and events as well as new Shinryu bosses, and requires Perfect clears with character restrictions!
Tumblr media
Dare to Defy -The Battles’ End- is divided into 3 sets of 7 quests - Dare to Defy Astraeus, Dare to Defy Nyx, and Dare to Defy Eos.
But the character restrictions applies across all the quests. This means that if you use a char on 1 Dare to Defy quest, then you can’t use them anymore on the other fights in this event.
Tumblr media
You can’t bring a friend support to these fights. Each quest needs to be Perfected (meaning get the score and all the other mission requirements on the same run) in order to get all the rewards.
All the chars are boosted in this event so each quest starts with the force gauge already charged to 50%.
Dare to Defy Nyx IV Shinryu Quest
Cleared the Dare to Defy Nyx IV Shinryu quest with Noctis Lucis Caelum from Final Fantasy XV (#ad), Ace from Final Fantasy Type-0, and Lunafreya Nox Fleuret from Final Fantasy XV with Bahamut as my summon.
My Calls were Cid Raines's from Final Fantasy XIII, Raijin's from Final Fantasy VIII, and Seymour Guado's from Final Fantasy X.
Noctis, Lunafreya, and Ace are as fully built and maxed out as they can possibly be. They're currently equipped with Level 5 of 5 Ultima Weapons.
Lunafreya and Ace have 3 Crystal passives as well as the additional stats from the Yellow Crystal Room (for Lunafreya) and the Green Crystal Room (for Ace).
Haven’t fully completed the Yellow Crystal Room yet though so Lunafreya don’t have all the stats and passives from there.
Also haven't done the Black Crystal Room so Noctis doesn't have any of the stats and passives from there.
Anyway, when the fight started, just had everyone setup their buffs and such while waiting for my force gauge to be fully charged.
Once my force gauge was fully charged, activated Lunafreya’s FR. Then had everyone use their Force Echoes.
Tumblr media
By the time I went into Ace's Burst+ phase, have 6 turns of force time left, the HP damage bonus was at 999%, and the enemies were down to 44% and 50% HP.
Tumblr media
Every time Ace attacked, Noctis dealt off-turn damage while Lunafreya buffed the party with her BT+ and skills and such.
By the time I only have 1 turn of force time left, the enemies were down to 9% and 7% HP.
Tumblr media
By the time Ace was about to cast VB Type 100, his finishing Burst+ move, there was only one enemy left and said enemy was at 1% HP.
Tumblr media
So right after Ace's Burst+ mode was over, the battle ended as well. It was only turn 6.
Tumblr media
The enemies barely got to move thanks to the turn manipulation from Noctis and Lunafreya.
They never would have been able to move if not for the fact that one of them (specifically Ultimecia from Final Fantasy VIII) has a move that lets her jump to the front of the turn order. I think the other enemy got to move a few times as well.
Tumblr media
Anyway, got the score and all the other mission requirements, which also got me the Perfect.
Conclusion
So, what about you? Which chars did you use to complete this Dare to Defy Shinryu quest? Feel free to share your thoughts and opinions by leaving a comment below or by reblogging or replying to this post.

A Day Off
Disclaimer: I do not own Final Fantasy XV.
OC: Lillian Nox Fleuret is the third princess of Tenebrae and the youngest sister of Ravus and Lunafreya. She is an Oracle. Following the attack on the Fenestala Manor, King Regis rescues Noctis and Lillian and takes them back to Insomnia. She and Noctis grew up together in the Citadel before moving to the apartment in their first year of high school. Their friendship blossomed into love over the years, and after realizing their feelings for each other, they began dating.
This takes place two years before the game. Both Lillian and Noctis are 18.
***************
M.E. July, 754.
"Noct... Noct! Get up. We need to clean your room before Ignis comes." Lillian announced after knocking on the still-sleeping prince's door and inviting herself.
Noctis groaned and snuggled deeper in his blanket. He mumbled a few incoherent words then the room fell into silence again. Lillian sighed and refrained from jumping on him and dragging him out of bed, "Wake up It's afternoon, Your Highness." she tried not to trip on the piles of clothes thrown on the ground and went to open the window.
A hand got out of the covers and patted blindly around it. Once he found his phone, he switched it on. Lillian sat on the bed and looked around her. The prince opened one eye, read "13:56," and then put his phone next to his pillow. He sat up after removing the blanket from his face, "'morning, sleepy-head." Lillian chuckled at his bed hair. She let her fingers tangle in his messy locks and started fixing them. He grunted a greeting and leaned closer to her as she gently combed his hair. It was a habit that he loved. Moments like these made him forget all about his responsibilities and bask in her calming scent.
"I told you to sleep early... Have you completed watching season two yet?" He had told her that he had started the second season, and they made a bet whether he could finish it in a single day.
Eight episodes. Each episode is an hour long. It was safe to say that he had won the bet.
With his eyes still closed, Noctis grinned. "Yup. All of it. Slept at four am... I feel like shit, but it's worth it," he finished with a yawn. His voice is still deep with sleep.
The Oracle shook her head at the prince. He can be silly sometimes. "Don't do that again, please. You look lifeless," she removed her hand from his hair, and he pouted in protest, "Now get your ass up. Ignis is coming at five, and we still need to clean your room."
"Right," he sighed, then smiled, "can I get a 'good morning' kiss?" He tugged at her sleeve, his other hand reaching for her face, cupping her cheek.
Lillian chuckled, then planted a soft kiss on his forehead, making his heart flutter. He sighed happily. Truly, nothing made him happier than these peaceful moments with his princess. He watched silently as she gave him a small smile before getting up from his bed.
"Your breakfast is on the dining table. I'll go get the cleaning supplies that we need." She tied her hair up so it wouldn't bother her during the cleaning. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Noctis finally getting up, running his hand through his hair, and stretching. She left Noctis' room and went to the kitchen when she realized her first mission of the day, waking him up, was complete.
Looking through the cabinets, she gathered several plastic bags for all the trash lying on his bedroom floor. Just as she pulled out a cleaning detergent, Noctis entered the kitchen, rubbing his eyes as he sat on the dining table's chair. "Thanks for the food, Lilly," he said with a smile, before eating the pancakes.
"Hm? Oh! No problem, Noct," She said dismissively, waving her hand. With the supplies in her hold, she went to start the cleaning.
"I'll be right there once I'm finished," he called over his shoulder.
"Okay!" Was her reply.
He sat there, chewing on the chocolate-covered pancakes, then his thoughts drifted to Lillian. Ever since Ignis reprimanded and threatened to take him back to the citadel, Lillian volunteered to help him. Well, in this case, help Ignis since he was the one who would usually clean up after him.
"Ignis already has enough on his plate," Lillian said one time, "You shouldn't make his life miserable with your mess!"
Noctis promised her to try to keep his room as clean as he could because he felt guilty and didn't want to be separated from Lillian — who would stay in the apartment while he went back to the citadel. Emphasis on Try... He just couldn't help it! He tried but failed. All the royal training and political reports made him neglect to tidy his bedroom.
Once he finished, he got up and downed the strawberry smoothie. Ignis had asked Lillian to keep an eye on Noctis' dietary habits. He hated vegetables, but he hated upsetting Lillian even more. And so he ate every meal she prepared for him. He also noticed how she tried to make the greens delicious for him. She was constantly coming up with new recipes that included vegetables to make eating them more fun for him.
He adored her so much for doing this.
He cleaned his cup and plate, then hurried off to his room. He was greeted with the sight of a full laundry basket containing all the clothes he had tossed around.
When Lillian noticed his arrival, she handed him a garbage bag and said, "I'm gonna put these clothes in the washing machine," she then hoisted the hamper by its handles and added, "This is the last time you bring food here, understand?" She spoke with a stern tone that caused Noctis to avert his eyes sheepishly.
He nodded, "Understood."
Soon after that, she left, leaving him to his task. The young man looked around his room, empty packages of several snacks and bottles of juices scattered all over the floor and the desk. He glanced at the digital clock next to his laptop, "2: 13 PM," less than three hours remained until Ignis arrived. Thankfully, his room was not as wild as it used to be.
He nodded, ready to prove his independence to Ignis and Lillian. With this mindset, he began, starting with the floor, "Let's do this."
***************
Noctis proudly smiled as he admired his now sparkling clean room.
Lillian cleaned everything thoroughly, from the floors to the walls to the windows, and Noctis assisted her.
He turned to Lillian, her keen eyes looking for any spot they might have missed. Noctis draped his arm over her shoulders and pulled her close, side-hugging her, "Relax love," he chuckled, "The room is spotless. Even Iggy would be taken aback by how it looks."
Lillian returned the side hug by wrapping her arm around his back and nodded, "Yeah," she smiled when he kissed her temple and muttered a sweet 'thank you.'
"I promise to keep it as clean as possible. I won't let your work go to waste."
"That's right! Plus, we did it together, Noct," she looked up at him and smiled. She turned to the digital watch, "We still have thirty minutes before Iggy comes... Until then, I'm going to take a shower."
Earlier that day, she had cleaned her room and their living room, not that there was much to clean; she always kept things organized. And now, after cleaning Noctis' room, she was worn out. She figured a nice, hot shower would relax her muscles and clear her thoughts.
The prince smiled mischievously and said, "Mind if I join you?"
He faced her, hands moving to her hips as he pulled her flush against him. She blushed, and he smirked; He loved teasing her.
"No, I don't mind," she said, smirking at his surprised expression. Pushing away from him, she made her way to the bathroom. "You'd better hurry, though. We don't have much time."
Noctis looked at the doorway. He chuckled; she had caught him off guard. He didn't expect her to agree. With a cheeky smile on his face, he rushed after her.
***************
Ignis raised an eyebrow at the flushed face of the young princess and the prince's satisfied smile and decided not to ask about whatever had happened. Something told him that he was better off not knowing.
He nodded in approval after touring the apartment and then placed a folder on the coffee table.
"This is a report on the current situation between Insomnia and Niflheim, have a look at it later," Ignis then turned to Lillian, "Nyx asked me to let you know that he'll drop by tomorrow."
She smiled in excitement, "Alright!" It had been two weeks since she had seen the Kingsglaive, and she had missed him. Helping the Glaives around Insomnia's borders was a job she loved; she always looked forward to it. According to Libertus, she had made their life much easier by taking care of the Daemons and them fighting off the imperial army.
Ignis smiled at her enthusiasm and glanced at Noctis who was looking curiously at a bag he had set down on their kitchen counter.
"I had time earlier and decided to bake some desserts," the advisor adjusted his glasses, "I'll take my leave now-"
He was cut off by Lillian, a frown on her face, "What?! You can't leave just yet! I'm going to make us some coffee and eat the dessert together, so please take a seat," and with that, she went to prepare their drinks.
Noctis looked at the princess, a look of admiration on his face. The sun was setting, and the apartment was bathed in orange rays giving it a cozy atmosphere. A gentle smile on his face as he watched her prepare cups and a plate to display the pastries. The comforting smell of the coffee filled the air, and Noctis exhaled a contented sigh. He wanted to hold on to these moments when nothing mattered and the whole world seemed tranquil.
Ignis cleared his throat, snapping Noctis out of his reverie. They both took a seat at the dining table, and Lillian joined them after bringing them the food.
"This tastes amazing!" Noctis exclaimed as he took a bite, "But something is missing...right, Lilly?"
She nodded, "Yeah, it almost tastes like the one we had in Tenebrae," she hummed in delight and added, "This tastes so good! This is what happiness tastes like," she giggled, and Noctis nodded his head in agreement.
Ignis sighed slightly in disappointment before taking a bite. At least he was close this time. He watched silently as Lillian and Noctis chatted about some series he had stayed up late to watch. He listened to them and made a few comments here and there. The trio kept talking about random topics until Ignis checked his watch and told them that he had to leave.
After wearing his shoes, he turned them, "I'm glad to see that you're doing well. I'll return in two days to go over the report with you."
"Right," the prince said as he leaned against the wall, "Thanks for the dessert, Iggy," he said with a small smile.
Ignis nodded and then addressed the princess, "Be careful tomorrow, alright?"
"I will. Don't worry," Lillian assured him.
"Good. Have a good night, then," and with that, Ignis left.
Noctis locked the front door and followed Lillian into the kitchen.
"Maybe we should leave these to Prompto..." She muttered as she placed the pastries in a paper bag before putting them in the fridge.
He took their empty cups to the sink and washed them. "I'll invite him over for some gaming tomorrow."
The young Oracle sat on the sofa and sighed. She watched Noctis dry his hands with a paper towel before sitting beside her. He opened his arm, and she rested her head on his chest, his arm hugging her frame as he placed his head on top of hers. His other hand sought hers and intertwined them.
"Are you all right?" Noctis spoke softly after a moment of silence.
"Mmhmm," she closed her eyes and listened to his heartbeat. "Just thinking."
He had an idea about what she was thinking and sighed, "... Another vision?"
The Oracle took a deep breath and started, "Yeah, and as you already know, I can't talk about it."
"I know, I know... Is it that bad?" Noctis inquired.
Lillian nodded, and he sighed heavily. He didn't want to think about the future but from how somber Lillian looked every time she had a vision it just made him nervous. But he knew that as the future king, he had to be strong for everyone's sake. To avoid ruining the mood, Noctis changed the subject, asking, "So, when do you think Nyx is coming?" He will worry about their future later; for now, he will enjoy every moment.
When he mentioned her best friend's name, her smile returned, "Certainly around noon. I intend to heal as many Daemons as I can," she stated with a determined tone.
"I know you will," he chuckled, lovingly caressing her hair.
Lillian glanced at the report Ignis had left on the coffee table; they could review it tomorrow. "Do you wanna watch a movie?" It was still too early to go to bed.
"Sure. Any suggestions?"
"I heard 'Wolf Children: Ame and Yuki' is pretty good!"
"If you say so," with that, Noctis and Lillian moved to her room. After turning on her laptop and getting comfortable on her bed, the couple started the movie.
***************
A/N: And there you have it! It took me a while to write this one, and I'm happy with it.
The series Noctis was watching was "Alice in Borderland." I was watching the 2nd season- which was a masterpiece by the way, then thought to myself to include it here.
'Wolf Children: Ame and Yuki' is one of my favorite films, and I figured that it was the perfect movie for them to watch.
I'm planning on writing more one-shots of Lilly and Noct's life together before their journey.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and have a fantastic day/night!

Garnet Shine: How devoted are they to their loved ones? Would this devotion delve into the obsessive side?: This is excellent one for Aqua, as I have thought about this a lot when writing her and playing the games. She is super devoted to her loved ones considering we hardly know much of her background prior to training with Master Eraqus, which is definitely something I want to expand on the more I get to write her on here. Terra and Ventus are closest people in her heart and as we can see throughout the games her devotion to keeping them safe has lead her into one thing after another. Very similar to how Sora is with his friends too.
As for if this devotion has delved into a obsessive side, I'd say it did at a time for her considering Terra and Ventus are her best friends. She got overprotective at times and that slowly lead to them having a few fights in Birth by Sleep. We can also say it was related to them all three being keyblade wielders and how Aqua even states that one keyblade is enough for any friendship. In my opinion, it wasn't bad obsessive side but it still impacted her relationship with Terra and Ventus briefly in Birth by Sleep.
Amethyst Calm: How do they usually sleep, in what position? Do they like plenty of pillows, blankets and/or plush toys?: Lyna tends to sleep curled up this is due a lot to her childhood growing up. The sleeping position helps her feel safe and there are nights she would curl up on Exarch, her adoptive father’s lap, to get some rest. I know most see him as grandfather but to me he just acts like her dad. At least in my Lyna background. She does need plenty of pillows but can get by with one or none. It’s again something she was used to as a child. In the first, there were harsh nights where she was forced sleep inside a cave before the Exarch eventually saved her.
Lyna isn’t a huge plush person but she still has a cute little plush cat that Exarch got for her that remains in her room. It’s not something she tells anyone as it would embarrass her a bit.
Peridot Ghosts: What kind of things get them frazzled or anxious? Do they tend to handle them well or get swept up in the moment?:Lunafreya tends to get frazzled or anxious over anything dealing with Noctis. The fact they have to be apart so much due to the war makes it hard for her to know how he is overall. It’s one of the many reasons she sends the journal for the two of them to write back and fourth. Calms her nerves a bit when she reads his replies back to her. Even puts a smile on her face, which is rare when she is doing oracle duties since a lot of her life has been spent helping other people.
I also do think she gets anxious over the state of their world too a lot. There’s so much pressure resting on Noctis shoulders, as well as her own. Even as a child, the woman worried over the prince a ton so to feel like she is conflicted between duty to the world and following her heart. It’s very hard on her emotionally and physically..I can’t tell you the number of times I cried seeing the scene in the royal edition where you see how much her body is slowly breaking. There is even a time she wants her brother take the ring to Noctis because she feels she can’t finish her duty as oracle.
