whats gibiverse?

OH HOHOHOHIHO PANDORA’S BOX HAS BEEN OPENED PREPARE FOR MY CRINGE. putting this under a readmore for my mutuals’ sanity

okay so gibiverse comes from the channel gibi asmr (yes i enjoy asmr, i don’t mind if people don’t but don’t be mean about it lmao), where they do a variety of content that ranges from general trigger videos to trigger videos following some kind of theme to actual rp content. the rp content can be just a “checking into a hotel” thing, but in other cases she pretends to be an entirely different person, be it a character from some kind of media (ex, the guy who lost to sans during the finals of the tumblr sexyman competition on twitter) or his own characters!

(note: last time i checked gibi uses any pronouns? someone can correct me if i’m wrong!)

this is where we get to the actual contents of the gibiverse! it was officially named in the fastest asmr video with 10 of the characters, being called as such in the description. there are a lot of characters, so i’ll just focus on the main guys of the story, but i still love the goobers who aren’t in the big big story (shoutout to sybil, luna, mistletoe, and ofc captain robyn. esp captain robyn she’s a fav)

daisy bean, or just daisy (she/her) is kind of the one the plot revolves around, as in her crimes and chaos is what gets the other characters involved after her actions effect the pov/viewer/you/whatever you want to refer to it as (i’ll use poviewer and use they/them) before her first appearance on the channel she was close with someone named tatyana (she/her) who later became the personal assistant of the poviewer, but it was probably just some kind of friends/coworker situation canonly (that doesn’t stop me from making them exes lmao). something happened in ibiza (unclear what), but tatyana let daisy keep her ‘card’, which is either some kind of id or a keycard, it’s unclear what.

daisy goes on to have multiple jobs (spending a day or two before leaving/quitting/getting fired/etc) and eventually when she struggles with money she goes on to CRIME!!! and gets arrested. she escapes though it’s ok.

during her time as a club bouncer she smuggles the poviewer in when it becomes clear they’re here to do some crime, and that they know somebody named montgomery (he/him), but only if they get 20%. poviewer fails this, and gets like… jumped or something?? leading to the events of the fastest asmr where everything is wrong with every doctor imaginable. your legs snap, ur allergic to oxygen, just very cartoony, but months later poviewer has somehow recovered! so daisy kidnaps them and interrogates them in her van. just girl things!! also she doxes them and then forces them to eat a spicy pepper hybrid that has a tracker. girlboss activity

after that she goes up to the poviewer and asks them to go gather signatures, and the top reads “new annual check-in”, so they go around to see all of the characters!! (genuinely the coolest video, they also all have different signatures! also we find out daisy owes loreli, a mermaid, money) the last one is tatyana, who is very eager to sign because. poviewer’s personal assistant. but she realizes the paper has been modified (as in there’s a paper on top of the title) and when removed it’s revealed that it’s actually a binding action to delete the channel! tatyana burns it, is disgusted someone would abuse the poviewer’s trust, and puts two and two together that daisy was behind this, leading to a call in the next tatyana video that the poviewer interrupts, where she’s threatening daisy that she’ll take away her card. oh no! anyways

next time poviewer sees daisy is when she drugs her spa coworker and makes him go home so she can treat them. at the end as an apology for the kidnapping she gives them a purse!!

this is when more of the gibiverse gets involved! kira (any pronouns) is the “scary” cousin of the poviewer, but throughout her videos (usually involving holiday family get-togethers) she becomes nicer to them, to the point where poviewer is comfortable coming out to them after they go to a pride parade! anyways kira’s birthday is around halloween, so poviewer gets him a gift!! it’s a thrifted purse… (spoiler alert, not a reused prop! it’s the same purse!) but kira finds a card inside, letting poviewer keep that.

next, fleeb florb (she/her i think?), an alien who went to earth to study humans, but got captured by area 51 (this was around when the storming area 51 meme was popular) and was later saved by poviewer. the two become friends and the poviewer helps fleeb florb learn more about humans! one day poviewer is abducted by.. a purple haired human? fleeb florb calls this person, “doctor beyoncé” (we know that’s not her real name. but we don’t know what it is.) out on this, and she reveals she’s actually an alien who thinks she knows everything about humans but she knows jack shit. also she hates fleeb florb. anyways fleeb florb offers to give poviewer one of doctor beyoncé’s cool crystals and goes to put it in their bag for them, but finds the card that kira let them keep. it’s unclear if fleeb florb knows what it is, but she asks if she can keep it safe for them.

next time poviewer sees daisy, it’s in a grocery store! when poviewer goes to pay daisy realizes that the bag they’re using isn’t the purse she gifted them. they explain their cousin has it. daisy says she might have left something in the bag so now she’ll have to visit kira. poviewer explains they found the ‘something’, and that fleeb florb has it. daisy starts panicking, and grows serious saying that she needs to tell them something important. but then suddenly daisy gets like 3 calls and after trying to ignore it, to tell poviewer, she picks up.

we. don’t have a confirmed identity of the caller, but my working theory is shift (he/him)! the voice, even if muffled, sounds like him, he speaks of technology that daisy doesn’t understand (google sheets) which shift is a robot tech so he’s a smart tech dude, and also shift and daisy videos tend to be really close together, if you count videos where gibi is still trying to develop shift’s outfit. shift video, two videos later, daisy kidnaps poviewer and talks to someone through her headphones (which she doesn’t take off btw, ever). shift is namedropped instead of being “the robot tech guy” and his outfit is finalized? next video spa daisy. the two are really closely tied throughout the channel if it’s not shift who’s calling her i’ll eat paper there’s no way it’s not

anyways from what can be barely heard, the caller is like “who cares if fleeb florb has it?? no way tatyana’s going to SPACE??????? just stay calm loser” so when she hangs up the poviewer is like “..so what were u gonna tell me.” and she goes “oh nothing it’s not important lmao.” like a girlboss.

in the most recent tatyana video she is helping poviewer pick out a fragrance/perfume/whatever for ✨the masquerade gala✨. the only information we have on it besides it was poviewer’s idea for it to be a masquerade, was gibi’s notes in the description, which says they’ll be filming it once the asmr shrek movie (if u don’t know don’t ask) is done, which to me implies that this will be a large scale project, though probably not to the extent as shrek. i have a gut feeling daisy will be at the gala but don’t quote me

also a quick captain robyn (she/her) talk because i love her even if she doesn’t directly interact with the story besides her quickly giving her “mark” (signature). like a major fav besides daisy (bc ofc daisy’s a favorite i love her). we only really get most of her backstory from a monologue where she compares herself to another captain, but it’s.. kind of dark if you read into the implications??? but so interesting??? robyn was just a girl who ran away from home at a young age after a fight with her mother, and was kidnapped by pirates who thought she was pretty but they also “kind of treated her like a pet” 🥲 because they didn’t think much of her she was able to KILL THE CAPTAIN and run while they were docked for their confusion. she began to realized that even if the first ship sucked she loved the pirate life and joined a different crew, cutting her hair and pretending to be a guy, but while she was treated better she thought there wasn’t much for her so she left that ship and went to a different ship, where she is back to being a woman, which ironically has poviewer as a crewmate (how does this work with all of the other things? idk magic i guess). poviewer fucks up with the captain somehow and is left chained under the ship for a few days, and is eventually found by robyn, who frees poviewer and offers them food and water. robyn reveals she’s planning a coup and when the time comes she’d appreciate poviewer’s support for captain. the coup is a success, the captain and his main followers are sent to a remote island, and robyn was successfully able to become captain, where she writes a code in order to make life on the ship much more fair for everyone involved while appointing poviewer as her first mate. she’s so interesting to me, very everything stays from adventure time coded to me
