rafayel abyssal chaos story notes part 2 bc i still hate the in-game tiny format of the pages when i want to revisit good bits conveniently
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
im terribly interested in that side character / lore device of a lemurian even though i remain a little confused (and maybe calling her those things is rude since she seems to have been the old friend of raf's lmao and that inherently makes her neat to me.) is it like- tldr a lemurian was pining for / bonded to a human(?) guy who disappearred on her ?? which made her rlly bitter? paralleling how rafayel bonded with first-incarnation mc who disappeared for other reasons etc?
"i would let you get hurt" is an interesting sentence lmao but im guessing it means just incidentally in battle ??
i wish they couldve written out every specific of what raf wrote. and that itll be revealed what happened to luna
on another note i wonder if tobias and his protocore syndrome and mess of a way of having to deal with it was meant to be mc's own little foil or whatever
ugh the syncing heartbeats too. casual romance my beloved
and that one memory challenge for the actual gameplay is hell. i did not know what i was doing 🫶 one day i will be like the cool kids with all their high numbers and caught-uppedness

Untethered Demo: Get Ready for Zero Gravity
Tumblr media
Untethered Demo is due to release for the space survival sandbox game offering a port for Linux and Windows PC this week. Thanks to the creative talents at True Anomaly Entertainment. Due to make its way onto Steam Early Access in 2025. Get ready to dive into the Untethered demo, where you’ll build space stations and fight for survival in zero gravity. This isn’t your typical space survival sandbox; it’s all about realism and the thrill of the space race era.
I actually do intend to enter Early Access with Linux support. Untethered is developed in Unity, which means shipping to different platforms is very straightforward.
True Anomaly Entertainment wants to ensure they have the technical resources to deliver. As a solo developer with limited resources and no dedicated Linux machine for testing right now, they’re careful not to make promises they can’t keep. In the coming months, they’ll take a closer look at their options and the roadmap to release. They will update the Steam page to include Linux, but only if they’re confident they can provide a stable experience for everyone. But now, we have a native Demo coming for Untethered. In the Untethered demo, you will get a sample of being an astronaut stranded in our solar system’s deep space. Your mission? Stay alive by searching wrecked stations for materials and building a modular habitat. Forget traditional game interfaces — everything you need is on in-world CRT screens, switches, buttons, and other old school controls. The best part? The modular construction system. You can create your own space stations with farms, labs, and material processing equipment. Picture this: a space station you built from scratch, while floating in the vastness of space. Also coming complete with all the facilities you need to survive.
Untethered Demo and Reveal Trailer
youtube
As a flight engineer, keeping your station’s equipment running smoothly is your top priority. It’s a hands-on job, so get ready to roll up your sleeves and dive into the details of space station maintenance. Survival isn’t just about keeping the lights on. Food and water are scarce, and you’ll need to explore wrecked stations, build farms, and mine asteroids for resources. Every choice counts when you're alone in the hostile abyss of space. Want to expand and improve your station? The Untethered demo lets you build and operate science facilities. While due to unlock new plans. The more you research, the better your chances of making your space station a thriving habitat. The Untethered demo lets you explore the debut title from Australian solo developer Luna Verratti. It brings a realistic, sim focused gameplay to the space survival sandbox genre. You’ll use your suit’s thrusters to navigate in microgravity. While you maintain electrical equipment, manage resources, and tackle the unlikely task of self-preservation in the infinite void. The game is set to hit Steam Early Access in 2025, with a planned duration of 6-12 months. But don’t be surprised if it takes longer — space survival is a tough challenge, after all. This is also due to include day-one native support. So, if you’re up for a realistic space adventure where every move matters, Untethered is the demo for you. Get ready to explore, build, and survive in the most harsh setting known to humankind. Stay tuned, and keep your thrusters ready!

ya know...
with upcoming "Let's show off some game trailers" month coning up
I don't know what kind of games that will catch my interests
if anything, I want more rogue-like twin-stick kind of games similar to Enter The Gungeon or Binding Of Isaac
or even a rogue-like shooter similar to Returnal. there is a new game like that that hasn't been released called Luna Abyss or something like that? the one thing I dislike anout that game, when I saw the gameplay footage, is that you automatically lock on the targets. it's a bullet hell kind of game but not habong the freedom go actually aim is kind of lame for me. obviously they want to focus on movement. moving fast to dodge the projectiles but having to properly aim is also a skillful thing, ya know?
idk
hopefully there will be another trailer of that Judas game which is supposedly being made by the same people that did the Bioshock games (and I freakin' love Bioshock 1 and Infinite) sohopefully some more stuff will be shown for that game. Atomic Heart was neat filling the void of a Bioshock-feeling game (a little) but not close enough
overall that's it

Why Every Construct in PGR is Sus; an Essay
(Y’all please don’t take this seriously) This post is not to - Help you understand the characters better - Use for your job application Instead, this post is to - Prove why everyone is sus - Make the corrupted to the sussy amogus dance and eat hot chip - Make an unfunny sus joke because my humor is broken Now, let’s start.
1. Lucia is sus because of her devotion to the Commandant, no matter how they act. A Commandant could actually be a 50 year old Discord mod who’s a complete douche and yet Lucia still likes them. That’s kinda sus if you ask me.   2. Liv is sus because she acts all innocent and shy-like in the lore, yet is an absolute beast in gameplay. Have you seen Jesus Liv’s gameplay? That blinded my eyes. Liv can use this to blind the crewmates eyes (which is similar to cutting off the power in Among Us) and then kill them. Pretty sus, ngl. 3. Nanami is sus because we don’t know where she came from. HAICMA? Heuristically Artificial Intelligence Caretaking Machine - Alpha? Sagemachine? Hah! Those all sound pretty sus to me. 4. Lee is probably sus because Asimov refuses to give him a new frame. Why does he not want to give him a new frame? That’s very sus, Asimov must have a reason for doing that, unless Asimov is secretly sus too. Furthermore, Lee is sus because Kuro gave him a bigger ‘thing’ in his swimsuit due to player dissatisfaction. 5. Watanabe is sus because he had a magical girl transformation from basic dilf (Nightblade) into ikemen (Astral). He also looks like he sings Baby by Justin Bieber in the shower. Don’t you think that’s sus? 6. Bianca is sus because she’s Saber. Case closed. 7. Karenina is sus because she’s always trying to be better than Lucia. Like better in what? Better in being sus? Yeah, she’s certainly succeeding in that, but she’s sus enough by now. Why is she still trying to be more sus? 8. Alpha is sus because she tells everyone to die in the abyss. Yo, why she saying that? Isn’t that what a sussy impostor would say? 9. Kamui is sus because on his CNY skin, in his ending pose, he starts off on all fours. Plus, his tail is that of a butplug level…quite sus. 10. Ayla is sus because of her badonkers. Case closed. 11. Sofia is sus because she has no emotion in her Japanese voice and is only emotional when she dies. Very sus. 12. Chrome is sus because he wishes to be Commandant’s number one, but doesn’t Lucia also want to be the number one? Hm, what’s the word for when you copy someone? Oh, that’s right: Impostor. 13. Vera is sus. She is the embodiment of sus. Personality? Sus. Appearance? Sus. 14. Camu is sus. He is overly edgy and he looks like he has rabies. Also, what’s with that muzzle? Pretty sus. 15. Rosetta is sus. I swear, I remember the word “Gungnir” and a girl raising up into the air and blasting her railgun, yet I can’t quite put my finger on it… 16. Changyu? Who’s that? 17. Qu is so sus that no one uses her in compo team anymore. 18. Luna is sus. She never graduated elementary school and you can probably beat her in a math contest. Kinda sus for someone with such a high power position. 19. Wanshi/Banji is sus. One of his lines when you put him as the construct on screen is him joking about sleeping with you last night. Pretty sus. 20. Selena is sus because she somehow turned from a compositor back into a construct…you know what reminds you of? SUS 21. No. 21 is love, No. 21 is life. The 22 year old child is not sus. (Funny enough, this is the 21st character.) 22. Roland is sus because his QTE is him yeeting himself into the air, counting as being ejected. He’s also sus because he offers you his shoulder, and also says that you can touch him using “different ways”. 23. Pulao is sus— Did she use some sort of de-aging thing? I swear I remember her being much more mature in Nona Ouroboros. I think that’s sus. 24. Haicma kinda sus. She looks like a megaphone from the back with that bonnet, making her resemble Sirenhead. Isn’t that sus?
Thank you for wasting your time on this presentation on why the PGR Constructs are extremely sus.

i know we’ve only gotten appetizers in terms of lore for our beloved Boroughs and there’s a lot of conversations being had over on the Discord about missing gaps (e.g. music genre of each Borough, distinct breed adaptions caused by the climate/terrain of each Borough, etc.) but god i have so many QUESTIONS about Mewmoia like
• TIME! how do catfolk distinguish increments of time?? is it still seconds/minutes/hours/days/weeks/months/seasons/years? or do we get new words and groupings??
• because of the existence of Borough-named stones, are catfolk widely considered shape-shifters by proxy? is there an in-universe explanation for Domestic vs. Mystic breeds? or is it an everyday occurrence for catkind to register that Wysteria from Accounting is now a Prancer, so she’s moving desks to better accommodate her size? DO THEY KNOW THEIR OWN BREED NAMES???
• DO THEY LIVE ON A GLOBE??? DO CATFOLK KNOW??? CAN I SAY GLOBAL AFFAIRS???
• do Boroughs have their own local legends and mythos? are these well-documented? well-preserved?? well-circulated? widely debated whether the cats depicted were based off of a real person or fictional??? does one region have their version of the tale while another boasts a different version?? how are these figures heralded in the Mewmoia we’ll know through gameplay???
• do Boroughs have their own idioms, sayings, slang? accents, dialects, and linguistic differences?? Could you tell the difference between an Upper and Lower Abyssal cat by their voice alone? what about an outcast Sol cat vs. a centerpiece Sol cat?? The Administration vs. its Metro factory workers?
• now i know a lot of us are familiar with this thanks to warrior cats, but how did they distinguish Borough borders in the early days vs. present gameplay? is it more-or-less flexible depending on current events and leadership? what legislation is in place should a border dispute come up??
• what DO the leaders do?? what is their role in canon lore??? how did they get to BE the leader, in the first place??? while i’m sure it’s different dependent on Borough (i.e. election through a democracy, born into power through a monarchy, specific ceremonies or trials to prove qualifications, Magic Chooses, etc.), what has this influenced in their individual (and worldwide) popular culture(s)??? if cats can’t die, how does a leader get the boot???
• we’ve gotten confirmation of fire magic origins in Cogwheel, but what about other types of magic? who was the equivalent of a guy who stood outside with a kite and key during a storm? or the first cat who was struck by lightning and then harnessed it after the terrifying encounter?? Benja-meow-n Franklin?? were they taught some variants of magic or was it all trial-and-error??
• what’s the pharmaceutical or healthcare situations over there? i’m certain it varies by Borough, but i doubt Big Pharma has a leg up on Magic. so is it more of a guild thing than a profit machine? or has the cat equivalency of Big Pharma prevailed in certain Boroughs rather than others? If cats can’t die, then what are the pros of seeing a cat who knows what they’re doing/has studied anatomy and diseases for a long time vs. your cousin Throckmorton who can stitch you up for free?
• speaking of, how have corporations and businesses thrived and to what extents are they permitted to? does magic have limitations or do these companies?? (i.e. what’s stopping some cat from replicating a product and going on their merry way? laws and copyright regulations on magic? or magical inability to do so?)
• what has the discovery and existence of magic changed? clearly, we still have conflicts regarding politics (e.g. Upper and Lower Abyssal, Luna and Sol being head honchos and having a say in worldwide affairs, The Metropolis’ willingness to take orders from them should any be given) and class divide (e.g. The Metropolis overseeing agricultural sectors and production overhaul from other Boroughs, Sol’s entire deal, Upper and Lower Abyssal again, Cogwheel and The Metropolis’ factories compared to their managers or The Administration, etc.), so what has magic not been able to resolve for catkind? what has magic ADDED to the many issues and grievances faced on a daily basis?
• also i would Like To Know about Borough-specific holidays and have many thoughts on the matter BUT that can be its own post
• i am so, so excited for this game

I feel like this is going to overlap a little with the last game rec question you got, but in the interest of "no point dancing around it", do you have any recs that are basically just "Dust: An Elysian Tale, but more of it" ? (I've already picked up Ori and I'm eagerly keeping an eye on Ori 2)
Tough one. Dust is very directly inspired by Vanillaware’s body of work – particularly Muramasa: The Demon Blade, and to a lesser extent Odin Sphere as well – so that’s definitely a good place to look. Unfortunately, with the singular exception of Dragon’s Crown (which is also very solid gameplay-wise, but holds the dubious distinction of being quite possibly the horniest side-scrolling beat-’em-up ever made), Vanillaware’s body of work is not available on any non-discontinued platform; actually playing any of it will be a huge pain in the butt unless you’re willing to screw around with console emulators.
As for second-best choices that are playable on platforms you’re likely to have access to… okay, in the interest of full disclosure, I actually kind of dislike this one, but it’s for idiosyncratic personal reasons that I’m not going to get into here, so I invite you to judge it on its own merits: the Guacamelee series. It’s colourful, it has an aesthetic that knows exactly what it wants to be, its combat revolves around deranged air combos, and you often get to fight like a billion baddies at once, just as you do in Dust. Of all the non-Vanillaware titles discussed in this post, it’s definitely the closest fit for your criteria!
Alternatively, if you don’t mind fan-games (and rather pricey ones at that!), you could have a look at Touhou Luna Nights. Like Dust, it’s a Metroidvania/side-scrolling beat-’em-up hybrid with combo-driven combat revolving around a very specific game-mechanical gimmick – in this case, slowing/stopping time. It’s light on story and rather linear, and most of its ideas are kind of underutilised outside of the areas that introduce them, but those are criticisms that could equally be levelled at Dust, so I’m guessing they’re not deal-breakers for you.
Straying a bit further afield, Valdis Story: Abyssal City hews much more closely to the classic Super Metroid/Symphony of the Night mould in terms of its gameplay structure, though it’s got a fair bit of side-scrolling beat-’em-up in its DNA as well. The trailers and reviews are mostly based on an earlier version of the game that had only a single playable character, while the latest patch brings the count up for four, so there’s more variety to be had here than a casual investigation would suggest. Two cautions: a. it’s an older title that’s not much supported these days due to the dev having a kid, so you may have trouble getting it to run smoothly on modern OSes, and b. it’s incredibly easy to screw yourself out of the good ending if you don’t use a guide. Fair warning!
(If you do pick it up and you’re spoiler averse, drop me a line and I can provide some spoiler-free directions on what you need to do in order to avoid getting locked into a bad ending.)
Finally, in terms of forthcoming titles in a similar vein, I’ve been keeping a close eye on Piko Piko, though obviously this rec should be taken with a grain of salt, since I’ve never actually played the thing!

I’m still plotting out the gameplay details of Hubert and Ferdinand’s Fabulous Fun with Imperialism, co-starring Edelgard (i.e. Crimson Flower using all the male Eagles and their leader), but while I’m doing that I have a bunch of thoughts on that still completely unsubstantiated Wave 4 DLC leak I linked to the other day. Posting about it is not merely an excuse for wild speculation on content we won’t see for another seven months, but a useful means of starting to work through some things early in the event that this is like the suspiciously accurate Thanibomb leak and as such just some kind of weird marketing ploy that happens now. In any case note that I am not suggesting that we should take the contents of that leak to be completely or even partially true, so if it gets debunked this will turn out to be little more than a speculative DLC wishlist.
On the classes:
Vanguard - predictable non-hybrid infantry sword user which everyone has been wanting, also makes sense to be male-locked like hero; will still be inferior to war master and anything on a mount for most characters, but on-demand Aether sounds handy
Grandmaster - predictable non-hybrid non-mounted unisex magic user which everyone has been wanting; dark knight is probably still better for movement but harder to access, while gremory would only be better for extra white magic uses; passive rally effect looks underwhelming at only +1 to all stats, but then it is passive
Zenith Flier - predictable flying magic user which everyone has been wanting (see a pattern?), but gender-locked and based on faith and not reason; renders holy knight even more irrelevant which makes me sad, and screws male casters and specifically male faith specialists (so, uh, Linhardt) over even more; I don’t really understand how the mastery works but it sounds like a combat art that functions like Rescue which...wow
Demon Fighter - I don’t think anyone predicted a second dread fighter under a different name, but this one uses axes and doesn’t totally suck for dark magic users; seems tuned to play perfectly into the odd hybridization job they pulled with Edelgard; mastery is a nerfed Galeforce, and that alone makes it better than mortal savant
On the characters:
Adding new students to the houses and another staff unit honestly seems like the most organic way to throw in new characters, so I hope that this is true about the leak if nothing else. This batch offers some interesting things not seen in the current cast, like Crest-bearing commoners (Byleth and Mercedes don’t count), a second default dark mage (I hope he joins with a Dark Seal, ditto Jeritza in Wave 3), and additions to the roster that break the existing gender parity of the Eagles and Deer and turn the Lions into even more of a boys’ club than it was before.
The above assertions assume that Juris, Balthazar, and Javi are male while Constanze is female. Each new character seems built around one of the new classes, so Juris and Constanze can be inferred via their corresponding class’s set gender, Javi begins in a male-only class, and Balthazar is a biblical male name. Admittedly, so is Micaiah....
That said, if Juris and Balthazar are indeed bi options this would even out the number of bi student options to three of each gender, with the infamous Alois and Gilbert S ranks now counterbalanced against the wacky magical incest pairings of Rhea and Sothis. Juris would finally give the Deer a splash of palpable queerness, while I’ll be fascinated how bi-for-Byleth Balthazar fares in the company of the bi-for-each-other male Lions. I’m as always more interested in the non-Byleth supports than the ones with Byleth, but if m!Byleth does indeed get more dick I suppose that counts as a victory of sorts.
Constanze not being a bi option makes for some hilarious irony, especially given the high chance that Dorothea will be trying to sleep with her in their supports. Who could have imagined that the most heterosexual female students would be the two pegasus knights?
Onto the gameplay stuff: Juris is a dull but serviceable physical frontliner, Balthazar has the best spell list in the game (Thoron, Luna, Bolting, Rescue, and Warp? If there were any one thing that would make me call fake on this leak...), Constanze seems destined to be a mostly offensive light magic user(!!!) even outside of zenith flier since sword and axe weaknesses screw her out of the physical flying options, and Javi has an unusually high number of physical proficiencies as well as a reason spell list almost as good as Balthazar’s. Interesting to note that Balthazar and Javi use black and dark magic together which currently only Edelgard does; also of note is that the 1-3 range dark spells are still exclusive to Hubert so at least he’s still got a small niche all his own.
On Abyss Mode
I have no idea how this is going to work. Where would they add chapters? This is genuine question to ponder even if this leak turns out fake, because Three Houses as it is now doesn’t really have a way to add in new story content longer than a single quest or paralogue. Will it occur during the timeskip? Get bundled into certain calendar months as a side story alongside the main plot? We also have no idea what it’s going to be about either.
April seems so far away. At least in the interim we’ll have Jeritza and Anna to look forward to, not to mention all the homoerotic highjinks that will no doubt unfold in the sauna.

Epic 7 Progress - 2
So, my last update was in april or so and still playing this game with solid fervor. My gacha luck has been reasonably well, got quite a few 4 and 5 stars, albeit not necessarily many I want. Still no Cermia, Iseria or even normal Schuri’s to imprint (got like 4 zorato’s though who are only cluttering my inbox).
Didn’t do much with Luluca yet, waiting for the incoming buff but honestly not sure where I would use her. My current wyvern team consists of Karin, Luna, Angelica and Seaside Bellona and honestly, not really seeing who should be replaced there.
Speaking of which, Seaside Bellona is a beast. Her character and model were awesome enough, but her kit is really useful for both, PVP and PVE. My current pvp team uses Aux Lots a lot and I managed to give him solid speed so if the enemy does not have immunity gear but is also running people like Angelica, ML Chloe, Crimson Armin, Diene and other buffers, well, Seaside Bellona, if she strikes first, ruins their team there. Combined with my newly (counter)geared Destina, my ML Ken, well, I have three units who can counter attack. Tempted to buy that one artifact and give it to my C.Armin, just so I have a full team that always attacks when attacked.
Immunity Gear and high res does throw in a wrench in a lot of my characters. Dizzy with the strip artifact is only semi reliably for now, my ML Aramintha becomes mostly useless (and not looking forward to her nerf. Wholely unnecessary, imo. ML Baal needs a stronger nerf and I can see the case with C.Armin but ML Ara was not as disruptive to anyone who prepared accordingly.)
That said, faster teams with a quick Dizzy or a ML Baal still wreck me if I do not have my Montmorency with me and even with her, not guaranteed.
Cleared all current content as well. Finally managed to beat abyss 90 and the two hell labyrinth bosses, the second had given me serious trouble and the answer to both, abyss 90 and it was Angelic Montmorency. Also really good against Dizzys and ML Baals. With her babysitting my ML Ken and keeping him free of debuffs it allowed him to dismantle most enemies.
Still love Diene but honestly, rarely using her atm. Hadn’t used Destina in months but currently using her again. Same wuth my Lidica and C.Dom, only occasionally in guild wars and pvp. Have a lot of 5 and 6 stars I am not using at all like Vildred, Ravi, Chloe, Yufine, Baiken, Kise, Cecilia, Violet, Ken, Fighter Maya, Luluca, Schuri, Roozid, Haste, Assassin Coli, Assassin Cidd, Cidd, Wanderer Silk and a now recalled Sez. Honestly, my luck has been outrageously good for the most part. Only money I spent ingame was from the one monthly pack i get each month. The game is infinitely more rewarding than FGO, had accumulated like 300 quartz from logging in and playing here and there for a few months and did not get anything I wanted from the summer events except Lancer Tama, who I am only meh about. Really wanted Rider Mordred.
I should do something with Vildred at least, if only to have a good farmer again but have no molas or gear for anyone else. Dumped everything into Seaside Bellona. Violet is also dangerous but just don’t have gear and molas.
Current plan is really to have the units I am using now up to speed with better gear and more molagoras. Game is still fun, story segments work for me, love the characters and art and gameplay is mostly fun.

It’s been a while since the last posted FEH gameplay but this was also my very first Abyssal run that I beat and so I believe it deserves a spot on my blog.
It took me way too many tries so I’m very thankful INTSYS removed the energy cost for GHBs. It’s pure BLYN cancer but hey, they’re all 80+HP so really, no one should be complaining about turning these devil spawns into pin cushions.
Strategies? Who’s that?
My team stats: (in case anyone wants to know)
+ATK - SPD Brave Lyn (S supported Ninian) Brave Bow+, Reposition, Luna, Fury 3, Desperation 3, Savage Blow 3, Brash Assault 2 Seal
+DEF -RES Ninian+1 (S supported BLyn) Lightning Breath+ (Res), Dance, Moonbow, HP+4, Wings of Mercy 3, Spur Atk 3, Hone Atk 3 Seal
+SPD - DEF New Year Azura Hagoita+ (Def), Sing, Moonbow, Armbored Blow 1, Wings of Mercy 3, Hone Fliers, Threaten Spd 1 Seal
4* Olivia as Bait Dance, Wings of Mercy 3, Hone Atk 3, Drive Atk 1 Seal

Triumphs as a Storyteller
I wanna talk about exalted a bit here, just because I had a surge of pride in our campaign:
First off, this campaign, which is nameless, mostly due to it being so hard to quantify, we seldom stay in one place long enough to name it after a place, the party is divisive enough to have naming it after a goal to be a little too complicated. . . so it’s just called Exalted. It should be noted there are multiple exalted campaigns being run, which everyone defines by their difference from MY Exalted (i.e. Scrub Exalted, Side Exalted, Bros-night Exalted). When we say “we’re running exalted” they mean my game, which I like.
Secondly, this one story has been running for FIVE YEARS. and I don’t mean that in game time. I mean in real time. In fact, only one of the players present at the beginning of the campaign is still in it (not counting me) and NONE of the starting party of Solars are still alive (One of them became part of Gaia, and so he continues to exist as a spirit but. . . he doesn’t count) The same circle is still together, however, tied together by a city they once saved and their past life memories.
Thirdly: In game time, enough time has passed for the newest Solar addition to be of age with one of the original Solar’s kids (the two of them started dating) The Solar who became part of Gaia has two daughters, who are old enough to be Queens of a different nation in their own right, and have kids of their own. There’s a lot of family based RP in it, and a lot of interesting coming of age stories, both of the characters and eventually their kids, allowing in game parallels which I love.
In terms of more blatant bragging, I’ve managed to tempt three seprate players into accepting an Akuma deal through honeyed tongue alone, even with them knowing that I’m mean and more than likely to compel them/ take control of their characters as Yozi can do. I’ve brought the entire table to tears at least a dozen times, and individual players to extreme emotional responses more than I can count(read: not just rage due to shitty gameplay, but character bleed), which is perhaps what I am most proud of.
In terms of pure events: We’ve had several people nearly sleep with Luna, someone HAS slept with Lilith, we once had our archer Night try and punch a Hekatonchire in the face. That same night then got bucked and thrown twenty miles, and survive. We had an airship crash into a manse the Solar’s had conquered, nearly destroying it. We had a battle against a giant river squid, and then a desperate attempt to detach a city from a underworld copy of itself, before the two merge and plummet into the void together.  The Brave Archer Night caste saves a simple country doctor from an Infernal Trap. (Remember this, it will be important later! Date: early 2012) The Solars survive getting all their intimacies reversed, prompting them to turn on everyone and each other, and then having the city they were in tossed into the deep wyld. Our Twilight got so mad that someone stole his gun that he created a wagon that moved faster than sound to pursue them. Our token Lunar both impregnated someone and got pregnant in the same session. She then traveled across the world to acquire an artifact that controlled reincarnation so that a kind and sad ghost could reincarnate into the baby in her belly. The party accidentally summons Mercury into an Infernal trap, and both the Twilight and the Lunar bonded to him die in her defense. (And everyone was terrified of Shredderkin forevermore) Our dawn surfs on his sword on a wave of Lava, punches a tower out of the sky, and uses the Sun’s own laser to kill an Infernal. The party confronts Juggernaught and the mask of winters at the gates of Fallen Lookshy, and, with the brave and true sacrifice of the oldest remaining Solar (the same twilight who punched the Hekatonchire), manage to break the Mask’s mask, kill him, and team up with Lookshyan rangers, the Elemental Dragon of Air, and an Infernal Princess to destroy the walking fortress just before it turns Lookshy and half the scavenger lands into a Shadowland. During that same fight, our Dawn learns that he accidentally impregnated his shape-shifting dragon-horse mount, and she gives birth to a daughter literally ON Juggernaught’s back, whose mint-new soul is the perfect place for shards from the Mask’s broken soul to nestle. That same girl is kidnapped and tortured to death at age 10, and becomes a hideous Abyssal. Dawn swears by all that is holy that he will cure her. (this is also important date: late 2014 i think) The new Night Caste starts hate-dating the leader of all the Infernals, Hell’s top general, the leader of the Reclaimation. They get way too close, and actively avoid killing each other even though their armies are diametrically opposed. Party joins a war, helps the Brides of Ahlat overthrow their husband, and then they kill him. HIs manor is declared a cursed place after a party member dies horribly there. (And everyone is afraid of Ahlat’s manor forevermore, second only to shredderkin) Party raids a Realm Embassy, barely survives a battle against nearly two dozen dragon blooded, ends up fighting Anys Syn herself, escaping only because the dead Night caste’s mother is equally attached to the new night caste, and she happens to be a millennia old Sideral. Party escapes to Hell, where they adjudicate a domestic dispute between three Yozi. Dawn is given a carbon copy of his Abyssal daughter, but this one became a Solar instead. Everyone suspects the Ebon Dragon. Dawn adopts the spare daughter anyway, dares anyone to tell him she’s not his. Night’s hate date tells party she’s going to steal the US’s spear. Party rallies an entire nation to stop her, starts a war with the bull, fights a hundred battles only to lose horribly against her in the final moment. Turns out she only wanted it for one brief task, which she traded to Adorjan in exchange for curing her daughter of something horrible (Shredderkin is no longer insane! Still very scary) Less than a day later, Party fights a full circle of Abyssals lead by another Deathlord. Somehow wins, thanks to both strength of arms and the friends they made along the way. Turns out the simple country doctor was actually a third circle demon who fell in love with both Night Castes (Date of reveal: early 2017 - a four year con~!) Dawn redeems his daughter at the tail end of this fight. (Motivation achieved, only took three-ish years!)
. . . So yeah. I’m quite proud of this. I love exalted. Things have kind of ground to a halt recently, since we’ve been making the swap to 3rd ed, or rather, my own homebrew of 3rd ed. I’ve put more work and effort into this campaign then I have into the rest of my life combined (my transition not included)
