in the past Luna always quietly thought Seraph was a bit beautiful and noble and liked watching her and wanted to be her friend even though she was like it is probably never meant to solidify kind of a nice warm fleeting light in my periphery always. meanwhile Seraph was like its proper to view the princess as a subject of my duty and the boundary exists that i am not her friend, but she had a bit of a soft spot for her in turn nonetheless. Seraph didnt even tell Luna about this offhand but prior to the big escort transporting luna to be wed to the other kingdoms rumoredly cruel prince seraph'd actually spent a fair amount of effort trying to negotiate with their current king to remain assigned for life by the princess' side even after the escort, even if it meant transferring as a knight to the other kingdom. their current kingdom had been like seraph this is unprecedented (they did not really want to give her up as their knight) but she was like the princess will need time to acclimate and someone must be there to oversee it and report back to you, let it be me. her concern was more emotional than anything she was basically fighting for like any scrap she could get to make sure the princess didnt have to do this first part completely alone, especially since luna was already pretty apprehensive about it. of course the princess would just be expected to suck it up so seraph couldnt argue that, she had to come up with a million like She needs a royal knight for these practical reasons. until she'd bought herself enough to be able to be like I will be there with you after we arrive for as long as they will let me. and mind you this was all before everything like they were not in love or anything this was just her moment of i cannot let this thing happen without doing the most that i can do for you which is really not much. when luna finally found out about this she was like seraph why didnt you tell me earlier i thought we'd have to part ways as soon as the escort was over, seraph was just like it wouldnt change anything Oh my god its so long the post is so long. *closes my eyes.*

Luna's eyes fluttered open, revealing a dimly lit room in the desolate corners of a forsaken orphanage. As she rubbed the sleep from her eyes, the unsettling whispers of unseen entities filled the air, and a chilling sense of foreboding washed over her.

Determined to escape the oppressive atmosphere, Luna ventured into the shadowy corridors of the orphanage, her courage guiding her through the eerie silence.

A Glimmer of Light

Amidst the darkness, Luna stumbled upon a mysterious boy named Sol. In his hand, he held a mystical lantern that radiated an otherworldly glow. As their eyes met, Luna felt an inexplicable connection to this enigmatic stranger.

Together, Luna and Sol agreed to join forces, their shared desire for freedom forging an unbreakable bond between them.

Nightmares Unleashed

As Luna and Sol made their way through the winding passages of Malum Somnia, grotesque creatures emerged from the shadows, their grotesque forms a testament to the twisted reality in which they were trapped.

Drawing upon their inner strength and resourcefulness, Luna and Sol faced these nightmarish beings, the light of Sol's lantern guiding them through the chaos.

A Web of Secrets

As they delved deeper into the abyss, Luna and Sol discovered the horrifying truth behind Malum Somnia and its tormented inhabitants. An ancient entity known as the Somnium Consumens had created this twisted realm, trapping the souls of children within its malevolent grasp.

Determined to end the nightmare, Luna and Sol vowed to confront the Somnium Consumens and free themselves from its clutches.

The Final Confrontation

In a climactic showdown, Luna and Sol faced the Somnium Consumens, their combined strength and resolve pushing them beyond their limits. As the battle raged, Luna and Sol discovered the Somnium Consumens' weakness - the light of Sol's lantern.

Together, they unleashed the full power of the lantern, vanquishing the Somnium Consumens and shattering the chains that bound them to Malum Somnia.

A New Dawn

As the shadows receded and the nightmare came to an end, Luna and Sol emerged from the darkness, their bond unbreakable. With the echoes of Malum Somnia fading behind them, they walked hand in hand towards a new horizon, their shared experience forging an everlasting connection.

"Twisted Twilight: Echoes of the Abyss" is a full-fledged tale that explores themes of friendship, resilience, and the enduring human spirit in the face of insurmountable darkness.

3. What's an inherently problematic view that your character holds?

I know I've talked about this with Luna before but well. Her views on both mortals and immortals as a whole aren't exactly... healthy. At this point in time she's grown to resent both for different reasons, believing that the potential for bad outweighs that for good and that it's better for everyone if she isolates and only interacts with her own family unless given a reason to otherwise.

Obviously misanthropy isn't exactly an ideal worldview to have, but ultimately it's one that likely isn't going anywhere anytime soon for Luna, despite the complications that come with her simultaneously loving her country's traditional culture and wishing to preserve it and it's past, specifically so it's worst moments aren't repeated.

4. Does your muse deserve a second chance?

Going with Draven for this because well. It's a bit of an in-story debate. Without going into detail, he's hurt a lot of innocents through his scientific research, both during and outside of wartime, searching for 'personal' answers. And it happened enough for those around him, including his own siblings, to doubt who the real 'him' was and if it was that unethical 'monster', if he was capable of changing.

But ultimately, Draven truly does feel guilty for his past actions, wishes he could take it all back. And he really has changed, even if others find it hard to believe after everything. So yeah, he does deserve a second chance, and he's doing a good job with what he's gotten so far.
