the stories that were being spun and weaved about the traveler all throught teyvat were few and far between. yet somewhat exaggerated, also. still on the rare chance of their passing, it is always nice to see dainsleif. especially considering, he's not one to really stick around long. so, lumine would enjoy dain's company for as long as he offered it.

lumine sighs, biting off the last of her popsicle. the wooden stick reveals the 'win!' carved on it and she hands it out to her twin. "here, you can redeem the gift. just don't be mad at me, ae."

"i don't want your leftovers, lumine." aether still refuses to look at her. "you can take your prize, just like you always do."

she sighs once more as she feels a headache coming on. neither of them were really the type to have inferiority issues, especially when they were mostly equal in every aspect. but as they all say, all good things come to an end, and aether has begun tearing apart their good relationship for his silly nonsense.

"ae, can't you see this as a good thing? the more [your name] spends around me, the more you'll get to hang out with them too. then you can use that as an opportunity to grow close—"

"but they only like you!" he whines, stomping his foot down like a petulant child. "if they do hang out with me then it's only because they want to see you!" lumine's usually cool face quirks into a smile as she watches her brother throw a tantrum. "don't you dare laugh, lu! you think this is funny, don't you?!"

she shrugs. "it's not my fault i'm so damn hot."

"we share the same face!"

she continues to watch aether as he sulks, before she suddenly remembers something. "oh. right. i need to ask one of our upperclassmen to tutor me for the finals." aether glares at her through teary eyes.

"what the hell are you talking about?" he grumps. "we both know you don't need that."

"well, i was thinking of inviting [your name] over to our house for the weekend," lumine starts, feigning innocence. "but if you don't want that then..."

"wait wait wait." aether frantically tries to stop lumine as she twiddles with her hair. "m– maybe i need the refresher too..."

"hm, thought so."

"let's send a selfie to childe while we're at it. he'll be so jealous."

"yeah, let's break his heart even more."

and so the twins continue on their merry way, the bond of blood and shared love repairing their relationship in an instant.

I thought it was very curious that he was the only one of the three to notice Ei, and he handles things very elegantly. Kazuha really wasn't one of my favorites when he was first released but now everytime I see him I love him a little more💕💕

Now this moment with Ei just made me happy bc I think it's funny that she listens and adores Yae Miko so obviously. They're sweet, even though she must have scared the hell out of her citizens by walking by. Could you imagine going to a festival game and seeing your god walk by?? I'd cry!!

I haven’t been active a lot. I’ve been dealing with the passing of my beloved dad. Which is still hard to grasp for me. It‘ll be 4 months on 11/29/24 and to know he touched so many lives of people who’ve known him in person and those who didn’t means a lot to me. But honestly? I’m glad and thankful to have been able to spend as much time with him as I could. Especially when it was time for him to go, you all came together with prayers, kind words and support, something I’ll never be able to repay or forget. So thank you for that! Magnus looks over the files that have been sent to him with a frown before he finally decides on his course of action.

Out of the half a dozen files that came through, only one is Magnus positive that Alexander would feel comfortable with.

It’s with an easy conscience that he signs over his consorts Institute to Mirai Lakecastle, Alexander’s second and someone competent and sure-headed enough to keep it together.

The clave will have no reason to argue and Mirai abides by the same code as Alec, it’s why Magnus picks her.

That and Alexander’s trust.

His faith and confidence in his second has grown since their first meeting and Magnus trusts Alexander’s instincts and his opinion.

It’s a lot of power to sign over, especially so quickly.

Magnus could do so much with the authority Alexander gave him but he doesn’t care. Magnus has a new and widely coveted political power and clout. It’s unthinkable that he would sign it over with so little hesitation or use. Yet Magnus wants nothing more than to concentrate on tending to his love who has changed so much and yet so little.

Alexander is truly no different than he was, only that he is how he was before the wounds of his past chiseled him into the man Magnus loves.

And yet he is also the man Magnus loves, the very foundation of him and Magnus finds that he adores him desperately.

Magnus cannot lose Alexander, as long as he is by his side then Magnus is happy to love him as he is, however he is.

Which means that there is no time to waste playing clave politics when Magnus can be introducing Alexander to a thousand things his boy had forgotten he once wanted. It’s a cursed blessing, to learn so many secrets that Alexander himself only remembered by forgetting so much.

Magnus opens a small portal, just enough to send his own response back to Alyssa. Then as soon as it’s confirmed to have been received, he snaps it closed and goes to find his boy.

Alexander is outside lying on his stomach, stretched out over thick green moss and dipping his fingers into the cold shallows of the nearby brook.

There are bright flashes of color as the fish dart around his touch and the rocks and Magnus laughs, heart lifting despite the weight of this morning.

“Enjoying yourself?” He asks, kneeling next to Alexander and pressing a palm to his shoulder.

“It’s cool and the suns bright,” Alexander sends him a faint smile before looking back at the water. “I don’t remember doing things like this before.”

Magnus doubts that he has and worse, they’ve hardly had time to even think of something as simple as a picnic where this could happen.

“Should we go boating?” He asks without a second thought and Alexander gives him a pleased smile and a nod. “Wonderful darling, I’ll set up a pavilion boat,” Magnus waves a hand as he speaks, “they run on magic, lovely. Absolutely divine and much better for the environment.”

In his delight, Magnus gets absorbed in his thoughts for a moment. It’s just a moment, but it’s long enough to miss the adoring and content smile that Alexander sends him.

Or that his eyes, while still confused, are deeply pooled with indulgent devotion.
