LUMINE : TRUE NAME ( I ) ( PART II : NAME HOLDER )

unbeknownst to most people who had met the outlander, lumine is not her true name. it is a name that she had adopted during her travel, for her true name is linked to her origin as a celestial being, and it has power over her.

giving someone your true name is like allowing them to see and influence your core self. her true name is linked to her soul. the one who holds it will have several power and connections over her. by uttering her true name, it beckons her very soul towards them. she will not be able to lie to them, nor be able to keep any secrets regarding her current condition from the said person. she will be baring everything, her heart, body, and soul, towards them. it's the most intimate, sacred bond one could have with a celestial being.

it works almost like a contract, a vow, a sacred connection. calling her by her true name allows lumine to know where exactly the person is, and warp over to them in an instant. it's a connection that bound her to her name holder. not even aether could call her by her true name if she doesn't allow it, for there could only be one name holder at a time. learning her true name without her placing a seal on you wouldn't allow you to command nor link yourself to her. she must be the one to give it to you, and you must accept it. it's mutually binding and must be agreed upon by both parties.

lumine's true name is ying (荧) meaning light.

─「荧」─  self-sacrificial, reckless, stubborn. more words could be said to the man who was her NAME HOLDER and it should be noted that each word, while some of them were less on a positive light, the way her golden orbs mellowed as her thoughts run spelled of her true feelings towards the man who would sooner rush into his own demise than keep himself safe. what else could she say about him ? SELFLESS ? somehow that word was a contradiction it and out of itself. he was selfless when it comes to most things, ready to put himself on the line for others yet ... he was selfish, too.

                he was selfish because he would make a DECISION that he believed was right. how she hated that about him.

                she hated that he thought it would be alright to save others in expense of himself. that it'd be alright if he were to be gone from this world if it meant those he loves and cares for would be happy. the celestial couldn't help feeling the organ in her left chest tighten painfully. she knew that was who he was, and that was what made her fall for him in the first place. it's just that ... sometimes, just sometimes, she wished that he would REALIZE just how much his own life meant to others.

                because he saved her even without knowing, that was why she wanted to save him in return. after all, he was her name holder. if only he would understand that LOSING HIM would've made everything meaningless. all the happiness he thought he'd bring to this world from his SACRIFICE ... without him, she didn't want it.

                saving the world comes second to saving him.
