top 5 favourite political assassinations
5: Reagan (attempted) 4: Jair Bolsonaro (Also attempted, would be 1 if it succeeded) 3: James A Garfield (How is your ASSASSIN more interesting than your entire political career?) 2: Luis Carrero Blanco (not an assassination, part of Spain's space flight program) 1: Shinzo Abe

You can say a lot of things about fascists but between Werner Von Braun, Arthur Rudolph and Luis Carrero Blanco you can't deny their contributions to the field of Space Exploration

also the ETA are basically like Palestinian resistance or Irish resistance, but for the Basque people. they’re not heroes, but they did what they did because of the fascist governments that were trying to destroy them and turn them into Spanish people. they were fighting against imperialism. were they perfect? no, but they made real change happen when they assassinated Francisco Franco’s hand-picked successor, Luis Carrero Blanco. that was a huge factor in Spain’s transition to democracy following Franco’s death.
