Making porcelain moon jars at the moment 🌜Moon jars were made in Korea in the 1300s to 1900s and used for wine, flowers or as ritual votive vessels. They are made in two halves, which unite to create a unique organic shape, and often with uneven surface and milky white finish. With my obsession for looking skyward, the progression felt inevitable. Let's see where we go from here... 💕 . . #moonjar #koreanpottery #clairedeluneart #ceramics #porcelain #clay #moon #jar #handbuilding #love #white #inthestudio #wip #adambuik #joseon #lucyrie #history #new #handmade #vessel #votive #offering https://www.instagram.com/p/ByVCACvl7Vy/?igshid=hrv0g5j335uh

Hey..you got any advice for picking out the right ribbon? Nothing too special but-I just wanna try and feel nice-Lucyri
Picking out a ribbon? Well first it should depend on the other colors of your outfit, you’d want them to compliment each other which means no hot pink ribbons with no other pink accents in other places or..Irk forbid…other neons.
Silk ribbons never hurt an irken, it might be too fancy for some tastes yes but It will make you feel quite elegant if you are going for that.
A solid choice that would make you feel nice would probably be a light cream or a dark black, there’s no going wrong with those choices. Though, if you’re up for some color most pastels go well with any outfit and any earthy tones do too. In the end it’s all up to personal choice with colors, so I’d say do what will fit you best.
One warning though, never wear a neon green ribbon, ever.

LUCY, Lucyris Asare. - Info, WIP.
^Insp'LUCY by Anna Tsuchiya.
Tumblr media
Death crowds me in the garden of life. Am I not but a mere body? Soon to decay?
Lucy is someone who's been dragged all her life.
Her partner (D), is someone who is a sadist. As an effect, that changed her.
Once a person filled with bliss and life, was now drowning in death and nihilism. Life is outgrowing her, yet she clings to it.
D is running a company, one that thrives on death and nihilism. His ex-girlfriend still recovering from the wounds of, well, him - is soon to leave a mark on Lucy.
5 reasons of living and she departs herself. It's not worth it to hang around him, he is making her, a living woman, into a corpse.
---------------------------------------------------------
Old.
That's how she feels. Though she lives in her 20-something year old body, the world keeps outgrowing her. The break she's taken for the past to years, has only brought her to greet D's ex-girlfriend.
Living with her for the past 6 months hasn't changed her life completely, but it's changed her life nevertheless.
Equipt with a bow and arrow she never uses. Her time flow is unchained, as soon as their house is in flames.
Do you fight corruption with redemption?
---------------------------------------------------------
Her personality:
Someone who's playful and genuine. She's focused, and someone who doesn't anger easily. She likes to think she's 'level-headed' but in reality, she hasn't felt her adrenaline rush since 16. She loves to show she loves others in different ways - e.g, letting them use her home name/Ghanaian name when she's really close to them, buying double of the foods they love, and burning memories into objects.
She's also similar to the wax door. She's soft, but the doors she's put through hardens and shapes her.
Her board;
If you have questions about her, I'd love to answer! (◍•ᴗ•◍)

On this day in 1902, the great modernist potter, Lucie Rie, was born in Vienna, Austria. Born to a Jewish family, her father was Sigmund Freud's doctor. Lucie set up a studio in Vienna in 1925, after studying under the great designer Josef Hoffmann. In 1937 she won silver medal at the Paris International Exhibition for a group of 70 pots; in 1938, she fled the Nazis, emigrated to England and separated from her husband. During the war she made ceramic buttons and jewellery to pay the rent; in 1946, she hired another Jewish emigre, Hans Coper, who had no experience of ceramics, to help her in the studio. He eventually trained as a potter and they became professional partners and close friends. In 1981, Coper died; a large retrospective of her work was held at the V&A and the Sainsbury Centre for the Arts in Norwich. In 1987, she was one of four potters selected for a commemorative series of stamps, celebrating British ceramics. In 1992 the Crafts Council celebrated her 90th birthday with a major retrospective of her work. Rie's studio at 18 Albion Mews near Hyde Park on London remained practically unchanged for 50 years and is now reconstructed in the V &A. Her work is in major ceramic collections, including MoMA in New York. Lucie Rie was made a Dame in 1991; she died at the age of 93 in 1995. Bow down." (Reposted from @jenniferhiggie on Instagram)

Today's special deal is a #book on one of Anne's favourite #potters, #LucyRie. $27.70, in honor of Anne's 70th birthday. Lucie Rie (1902-1995), one of the 20th century's most celebrated and iconic potters, combined an acute understanding of modernism with the skills of her chosen craft. During the course of her sixty-year career, she continually honed and refined her work, developing new shapes and surface effects that were distinctly her own. Her delicately shaped bowls, bottles, and other vessels reflect her commitment to simplicity and clarity of form, earning her both critical and popular acclaim.

" Legendary potters of all time you need to know about if you dont already" Post No. 2 Lucy Rie. Lucie Rie was born in 1902 in Vienna, where she studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule under Michael Powolny from 1922 to 1926. In 1938 she moved to London, where she lived from 1939 in Albion Mews. You’re quite the nervous sort aren’t you, Xie? Chin up! Confidence is key, and I know you have it in you-Lucyri
A-Ah, well most people don’t know about me…I’m just in Lucy’s shadow…a simple assistant. It’s strange to be in the spotlight…s-sorry for that!
H-he also complimented me again…eek- sorry! I shouldn’t have said that!

Very interesting! And do you look up to Lucent, Xie?-Lucyri
Do I look up to him?? Of course I do! He...he’s my idol....and the time we spend together, even if it’s just strictly business more than half of the time, is nice and dare I say, endearing.

Can we see what Xie looks like? Also thanks for the advice..but why is a green neon bow forbidden? My brother wears one with orange polka dots sometimes and he looks fine I think-Lucyri
Tumblr media
A-ah! You want to see me? I’m just Lucy’s assistant apprentice...but he’s got a strong dislike for neon green bows. He says if it’s not styled correctly then it’s a “fashion disaster” as he says...one time a model didn’t listen to him on that front and well, their career went through the drain sadly. It just wasn’t the season for it...
