📃 what is the plot of your hyperfixation? and is it a movie, game, show, etc?

SO!!! its a series of music videos + a lore dump/explanation video (which you can watch here its only an hour long and also they all fuck), telling the story of a guy called clancy. there are other songs on that dont have music videos that are also about it, but most of the main story is primarily told through the mvs. theres also letters from an arg that they did + a concert livestream but theyre not Crucial to understanding the plot yknow

and VERY basically the plots about clancy trying to escape from a horrific city called dema, ruled by a group of bishops. he finds a rebellion group called the banditos, who break him out of dema again, but he gets dragged back to dema again + forced to perform and write propaganda music. eventually, he escapes, and gains the same mystical power that the bishops abuse. he uses it to fight back + spread the idea of rebellion to other citizens of dema, before making a final stand and defeating the bishops! but its still left on a cliff hanger because tyler joseph hates me personally

📌 how did you find your hyperfixation?

oh this is long-

i knew about their really popular songs from blurryface (ride + stressed out), but i didnt start listening to them until middle school!! the friend i carpooled to school with suggested their music to me and i listened to them and trench came out like-later that year im pretty sure! i wasnt quite sure what the lore was at the time (partially because trench is the first album with lore so Nobody knew what the lore was at the time) but i thought it was really cool :3

once i got to high school i sort of fell off, but i still poked my head in the fandom when tøp was doing lore shit (like the scaled and icy livestream). i heard about their newest album, clancy, coming out, and listened to overcompensate, but didnt really get back into them until i went to one of their concerts a few weeks ago!!! and it was so SO much fun and then i rewatched all the old music videos + all the new ones and now im. very not normal

epithet erased au: so like. theoretically. ranboo (or whatever part of him that's helping dream) can imbue his epithet into objects, right? and maybe, if we're giving him a lot of power, as a treat, he can even take away specific memories, or memories up to that point. so. lets say tommy and tubbo go into dream's vault, and touch the discs without realizing they're glowing :)

The au has passed the need for Villain Dream but you know what can be angsty, if we go apply this to the egg. The idea with Dream is super angsty though. That is extremely angsty.

Let’s go and say that the Egg or Bad goes and convinces Ranboo to imbue his epithet in one of the objects. And then we get this extremely disturbing scene. We get their memories getting wiped and then we can go get it so that the others with the Eggpire are trying to convince the victim that they always worked for the Eggpire.

That it’s their friend and that everyone is trying to kill the egg for some reason.

in some alternate timeline we got Shenanigans at the hotel opening with the antarctic people next to snowshester next to the eggpire 😔 i would have enjoyed that more because. you have chance for Tension but also. a (probably) really funny mess.

I DO WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT SO BAD-

Okay, okay, so...

Like I said, this AU has been in my head since before November 16th so a lot of the stuff in the AU doesn’t line up with canon... HOWEVER!! Its a lot of found family fluff and sweet moments and learning to trust and love again after horrible times.

⚠️TW FOR VERY UNSYMPATHETIC C!WILBUR IN THIS AU⚠️

The main premise of the story is that Tubbo is the protagonist and he runs away from the Assassin’s Brotherhood of L’manburg because Wilbur (the Assassin Mentor of the branch) has become harsh. Tubbo finds himself being taken in by two kind men named Bad and Sapnap who discovered him after he’d jumped into a river (not a good idea to do that in the middle of the winter, Tubs-). Bad and Sapnap take Tubbo back to the manor that they live in with two other men named Dream and George and Bad (who is a healer) takes care Tubbo so he doesn’t get sick or anything.

During Tubbo’s stay, he learns that Dream, Bad, and Sapnap are all Templars (the sworn enemies of the Assassins) and Dream is the Grandmaster of the Essempy Templar Rite. However, the strange part is is that the Templars already knew he was an Assassin and it’s really strange to Tubbo that they didn’t immediately attack him or anything the moment they figured it out. Tubbo returns to the Brotherhood because he panics about the Templars knowing who he is and then a whole lot of shit goes down. Tubbo however continues to occasionally return to the Templars because they’re kind and protective and they seem to genuinely care about Tubbo’s wellbeing even after he confronts them about the feud that is supposed to be between Templars and Assassins.

After that ‘whole lot of shit’ happens, Tubbo flees to the Templars once more, this time with Tommy (who is seriously injured for spoiler reasons) in tow. The vast majority of the rest of the story is Tubbo and Tommy healing from trauma and learning to be kids again after being raised as child soliders with their found family at their sides. (There’s also a big bit where it’s revealed that the reason Wilbur became harsh was because he found a fragment of the Trident of Eden and it corrupted him and me and my beta with this AU literally were talking about a ‘Wilbur death’ and ‘Leader Tubbo’ seven days before Nov 16th and when we saw the streams that day, we were shouting about how we ‘totally manifested this’ tfcyvgbhj)

BUT uhhhhh, yeah? That’s kinda it? There’s some stuff I didn’t mention bc I feel like I’m just boring people when I talk about my AUs tcyvgubhjn- I didn’t get to talk about Eret’s relationship with Tubbo and everyone (she is very important and a part of the ‘whole lot of shit’) or about some specifics about Wilbur’s corruption with the Trident or details about some ‘background’ characters that I’ve been developing recently.

EZIO IS A MARY SUE.

Let me make that my biggest point. Ezio Auditore da Firenze is a Mary Sue.

Ezio is a “larger than life” character. He’s attractive, can do no wrong, is good at the skills of the Assassins easily with very little training, and ALL the women want him. He’s a Mary Sue.

Ezio is easily just a 7/10 in looks for me. He’s just average, tbh. I think the only time I thought Ezio was truly attractive was in Revelations, but that’s because DILF vibes rather than the fact that it was Ezio. I much rather preferred to look at Yusuf and Sofia in that game. They were truly the pretty ones in my opinion.

There are pretty much only two times that Ezio ever gets scolded for a mistake. One happened at the beginning of AC 2 when you assassinate Vieri de’ Pazzi and Ezio disrespects Vieri’s corpse and Mario (Ezio’s uncle) gets mad at him for disrespecting the Creed. The second happened because Ezio doesn’t kill Rodrigo Borgia at the end of AC 2/the beginning of AC: Brotherhood and Machiavelli gets mad at him for that. OVER THE COURSE OF THREE GAMES, EZIO GETS SCOLDED FOR HIS MISTAKES TWICE.

We, the player, get ONE sequence where we learn how to be an Assassin as Ezio. One sequence. That isn’t really enough time to make sense from a timeline standpoint on how Ezio is “so good” at being an Assassin. Keep in mind, I haven’t read the books, so I don’t know if the timeline shit was more clear in the books, so don’t hold that against me.

HONESTLY? The way that Ezio treats the women characters in his games creeps me the fuck out. If he’s not hitting on them and almost IMMEDIATELY trying to fuck with them (Cristina, Sister Teodora (that one made me really uncomfortable at the end of Carnevale), Caterina, a little bit with Lucrezia tbf, etc.), he’s basically babying them (Claudia and Maria). I think the only good way he treated female characters was with the multiple unnamed courtesans in Rome who he was very protective over without wanting sex and that was due to the fact that Claudia become their Madame and he wanted the information that the courtesans could give from their jobs. Ezio’s relationship with Sofia in Revelations was also super creepy in my opinion because Sofia was 35 whereas Ezio was 52. THAT IS A SEVENTEEN YEAR DIFFERENCE!!!!! YES, THEY WERE BOTH CONSENTING ADULTS BUT ITS STILL REALLY CREEPY BECAUSE THAT IS SUCH A BIG AGE DIFFERENCE, WHAT THE FUCK?????

Uh, yeah, so Ezio- in my opinion- is a very mediocre protagonist and didn’t really deserve to have three games made about his life, but the games were okay ig and if you like them, good for you, but jfc. Just-
