The scene where Lucien catches the fish with his bare hands is obv very hot, but the part of that scene that stuck out to me was when he tells Feyre “I’ll clean them while you start the fire”.

It's like he knew that was a task Feyre hated when she was human and he would spare her from having to do it again. Even when they were on the run.

Lucien is sometimes looked down upon because he is not as strong of a warrior/fighter as the bat boys. But warrior is NOT his archetype (though he is trained). Lucien is a hunter. A provider. He takes care of people. And he will provide for Elain happily and never make her feel like she is a burden for it. He will probably be the first person in Elain's life to treat her like an equal. And I just feel like they're gonna be a great team. 🦊🌷

Very tired of the shadowy/darkness-themed brooding male love interests in fantasy romance books. Especially the ones where the character revolves heavily around sex / sexualization.

This is especially irritating when they are 'healed' or complete as people because they are dating the protag. Seriously. It just promotes that toxic 'You can fix him with love' concept. This is such an inherently harmful message.

Not saying those kind of broody characters shouldn't be allowed to exist at all. However, the dominance of that character type over other portrayals in romance especially, subscribes to the common notion of masculinity having only one desirable form.

The main lead does not have to be the most powerful, the most virile, most tragic or most intimidating.

It's shallow and overdone.

Why can't the men and boys in these leads also be written as thoughtful and warm, sunlight characters. Soft hands and gentle voices. Complex and spirited and vibrant. Let them also be kind, lovely and full of quiet things.

I have so many thoughts on this general topic that go into way too many directions to summarize in one post.

Do you ever think about how well connected Elucien's children will be? Their grandfather is the High Lord of the Day Count. Their aunt and uncle are the High Lady and High Lord of the Night Court. And their other uncle will be the High Lord of the Autumn Court (because let's be honest, Eris is going to find a way to get rid of Beron before the series is over). Nobody is going to be messing with those children.

I think watching Lucien allow himself to love someone again after being alone so long is gonna break me.

He has been saving his heart all these years because he has experienced true love before and he doesn’t want to put his heart on the line again for anything less.

I think being loved by Lucien would be a very special thing.

I just know I’m gonna cry the whole way through Elain and Lucien’s book.

Elain and Lucien will be connected to many courts as well as the humans and the fae! I like to imagine how Elain will get along with the Band of Exiles and the friends they could all be. And of course they’ve gotta sit on that pink couch!

I just think both Azriel and Lucien are the kind who would be willing to beg on their knees for a taste but the difference is Elain wouldn't want a guy to beg whereas Gwyn would tell him he can stay down there a bit longer like the good boy he is.

Elain wants a Dom and Gwyn is a Dom.

Lucien seems like the kind of guy who while wanting to be respectful still secretly wants the go ahead to finally let go of his control and Az seems like the kind of guy who wants to be under someone's control.
