The phone must’ve vibrated, since the small device diverted your attention from looking at a poster of a music festival that would take place months from now. You shamelessly smiled at what you saw and soon closed the phone.No more than a minute later, a silver Cadillac pulled in front of the store. Emerging from it was a tall, brunette, donned in a black tank top and shorts. You wrapped your arms around her waist and crashed onto her red lips before retreating into the car. I stood in the same place I was, wondering if you finally moved on. Of course you did, you bastard. You just used me to get closer to HER. Contingency

Mod OOC: As a Contingency plan, I have decided that if Tumblr does go down, I will now post links to my art websites and will hopefully see if you the followers and the people that I have followed, will at least know where to find me next.

Why must I ping some of the people I follow? Sometimes they don’t allow messages from people whom they don’t follow. That’s not a bad thing, it keeps blogs safe from messaging bots. But I can’t message them sadly and I just don’t want them to be left out with the people that are already following me, since they’ll see this post anyway.

Dear You,

I wrote a story. When I told you I didn't regret anything. It was the truth.

She made her choice. Was firm in thinking, that his smile would not wound her, his scent would not stifle her. She would grow strong and remember flushed cheeks and wayward smiles. She would remember his eyes glowing in the after a late night tryst, and never forget the scent of another staining his skin. So that when he smiled at her wide she would grin but nothing would touch her heart. She would not think about him or the could have beens. The might bes. The way, once, she thought of his mouth hot on hers. Of his fingers in her hair and his skin warming hers. She would no longer want him and she would turn toward the sky like leaves before a rain and forget that he had, for the silliest of moments, held her on the curve of his palm. But leaving him is hard. It takes effort to forget the beat of her heart when he's around. Takes tireless nights of tear stained pillows to forget the feel of his fingers across her belly and his scent that lingers like scars on her memories. She tries. She keeps her face still when he's near and does not bend even when she sees the white of his teeth as he smiles. She doesn't answer fast when he texts and doesn't call even when all she can think about is what he would say. She remembers the pyramids and the Great Wall of China. Monuments standing tall and strong against the wear of time. Of the way the do not fall even with the beating of slow moving earth. She builds them around her heart. She tells herself that shaking and worrying and loving so will not make her any better. Will not ease the passage of him. She thinks so much about forgetting that the task remains impossible. She concentrate so hard on not letting him crush her beneath his wildness that she forgets to see that she is already hurting. She hates that she wants him. Hates that she is his without his asking or taking. But she is.
