💗 My first pair of jeans! 💗 I... 1) dyed 3 yards of white denim pink (guess I forgot to take pictures) 2) copied a pair of jeans I own (why are ALL jeans blue and black) and made alterations (wider legs/higher waist) 3)drafted a new pattern 4) embroidered a unicorn 5) made my first muslin 6) went for it 7) lots of seam ripping later... I have a warm pair of pants that ISN'T dark.. We have an exciting update for WIP Wednesday! Our first piece for Aqua is complete! Using Navy Smooth Organza from @moodfabrics, we created Aqua’s underskirt. We really loved the look of this fabric because it really looks like the surface of water, the photo really doesn’t do it justice.⠀ ⠀ To create the skirt, we stitched together 3 circle skirts. We used French seams to finish our 3 seams. Then, we serged the bottom using a narrow hem and inserted 20lb fishing line to exaggerate the “flouncy-ness” of the skirt. I am a writer and LOVE paper and journals. I cover them with botanical 🌿🌱🍃 material. Since it is #monstermonday, I used my Monstera karstenianum for a model. I like how the pot matches the colors I used on the journal. I also decorate the inside covers with botanical print scrap book paper and washi tape.🌿 (Don't get me started on washi tape....😳) I also decorate my planner for the year the same way.
