What are Unholyc's

This was brought to my attention cause I saw this post by the @thrones-of-buer

Now, Spoilers for Love Unholyc.

Unholyc's are:

Unholyc are the descendants of Asmodeus, an ancient demon king of lust that descended upon this land a long time ago.

Apparently, he fell in love with humans and gave birth to the first generation of Unholycs. They resemble Asmodeus in that they have the ability to charm and seduce others while being able to use powers like most devils.

In Love Unholyc (PrettyBusy)

Story:

The player is named Mir by default. Though an Unholyc, she isn't interested in anything other than games and isn't able to fully control her charm ability. However, she is always extremely happy and active. Her coming of age ceremony is approaching and she might become a decent Unholyc after that. (…Maybe?)

Mir lives alone with her butler, William, who takes care of everything in the house and is very devoted, despite his aggressive personality. We are hinted that she is from a great Unholyc lineage but isn't conscious of it.

To get successfully past her coming of age ceremony, she needs a lot of acme, vital energy she can get from a contract with another being. Following the instructions of a letter she received from a very prominent Unholyc, she goes to a tailor shop where she meets three very handsome men with an aura resembling an Unholyc.

She accidentally starts the contract ritual. Though she discovers that they are humans, they all agree on the contact anyway.

The whole story revolves around Mir/MC getting through the seven days to complete her coming-of-age ritual to become a full pledged Unholyc.

In Season 1 of the game Mir/MC is focus on growing her connection with the three main Love interests Jung Hi, Sol, and Leo.

(Using this cause I like their season 2 sprites much better then their season 1's sprites)

Through out the week, you will choice dialog with some are specific for a love interest. Beware there are comedic/bad endings in the game if you don't get Affinity(Relationship) Levels.

But on the seventh day, base on you're choses. The Li who has most affinity will be your main route in season 2.

However Season 1 ended with Eater (The main threat and you're other love interest for season 3) killing the three Lis and William (Your Butler/other love interest for season 3) use his ability to manipulate time, restarting the week.

And that where we start with Season 2, Mir/MC going back to Ripeato where she meets the three again, they remember what happened and promise to not let what happened on the seventh day again and promise to protect Mir/MC.

Unholyc's Ability

It seems that base on both games, Unholycs and Devils have specific ability.

In WHB each devils have a specific talent/ability and some like healer class would be affiliated to a certain region.

In LU, William has the ability to manipulate time how ever what happened with S1, his paid the price and his body reverted back into-

There is a character named Pierce who has the ability into the future.

Eater has the ability to eat other Unholycs and take their abilities.

There are three others, Zenon, Shallote, and James Roger but I can't remember what their abilities are.

Can a human be an Unholyc?

The answer is yes... Though...

I want to mention cause my possible theory of Minhyeok doing this ritual and becomes an Unholyc lol.

Dantalian is Asmodeus' kid (with the same woman that made the Unholycs. Genetics are weird like that)

Asmo’s lore got me a lil confused (or I’m just stupid fr) I was under the impression that he had a ton of kids that bro was going to earth to spread his seed but selfie card lore (spoilers!! Idk if u read the selfie card yet im sorry if you haven’t!!) indicates that the first woman who carried the first unholyc (aka his second love) cursed him where he can’t spread his seed otherwise it’d kill him, his partner and his already existing children. Unless the curse only applies to him having kids with someone he truly loves? Idkidk maybe I just be stupid and can’t read in between the lines lol

You're good anon! I have read his selfie story in it's entirety. Yes it is very true that he can't have anymore kids because his late wife cursed him. I personally have a theory that there's a loophole to the curse, such as he can't have babies with just anyone but someone who truly loves and accepts him and that he settles down for. Something like that.

I think how I saw it is that yes, Asmo does have a lot of descendants and I'm pretty sure he and his wife had babies poppin' out probably every other year or so. I even would like to think she gave birth right before she died as a old woman because ya know anything is possible with a demon and witch~ (now probably one of the siblings watched the baby but that's just me making up stuff in my head) I also kinda dig the curse, because it really shows that Asmo cares about his wife's wishes to begin with otherwise he'd be finding a way to overrule the curse or get rid of it.

I'm very excited for when he drops even though it'll definitely take me a while before I actually get him because I'm f2p only and I have shitty gacha luck hahaha...

Anyway, here are my theories: for some reason, I have a feeling that he's very mean? Or like, he's one of those who will bully MC LOL

(though I can't tell if it's bully because he likes mc, or bully because that's just how he is)

Idk, I just think he'll be prickly because of the piercings. He has so many! Four helix piercings on both ears?! Also, it looks like he's wearing a windbreaker? Or some sporty jacket which makes me think jock...which is also not very sloth-like lmao. It reminds me of typical gangster characters like Draken from Tokrev.

(Though that will be a very interesting character but it's risky since we already have Levi and not everyone likes him <3 the reason why I didn't draw him very gangster-like is that someone said that he kinda looks inspired by Vkei and I wanted to incorporate that somehow)

I also think he'll have a very... interesting personality. I've drawn him all crazy in the second pic, but very relaxed and a little tired? in the first. That's because I really like drowsy/sleepy eyes and also because he's the representative of the sin sloth so it makes sense. As for the crazy one..I also think that aside from the mean attitude, he'll have a very energetic/eccentric personality based on the art. Like he'll be all up in your face talking about the weirdest shit because he wants to get a reaction. Or he's just one very informed and knowledgeable king who has many, many secrets.

Speaking of secrets, there is his hands. I know the other kings also have hands in their teasers, but with Belphie, I think the hands have more significance. Because like, why is it covering up most of his face??? The other kings at least have an eye, nose and/or mouth showing through the fingers, but Belphie only has his left eye with two pupils. I'm starting to think he's very secretive or mysterious. Maybe he's a reclusive king and that's why not a lot of demons know about him or his country? Or maybe he's as strict and 'militaristic' as Nifleheim's description says of their country? Or maybe he has a scar that he's covering up? Idk but I am gonna be disappointed if it turns out to be a red herring >:(

Oh, and another thing about the hands— I might be grasping at straws here but the fingers look like teeth. The way they're intertwined in front of his face makes it look like teeth, making me think either he has very sharp teeth or his idiosyncrasy is related to teeth (i know, this is beyond grasping at straws now).

Also, I didn't draw his horns because I have no idea how to draw his horns. I can't see it at all in the teaser art unless it's this thing beside one of his hands which is....?? I'm not sure. Because if that's so then he's similar to Valefor with a horn in his eye (correct me if I'm wrong huhu) and if that's the case, then he has a very cool design that's very unique from all the current kings (including Asmo if they're going to reuse the design they had of him from Love Unholyc)

Unless his horn is the black halo above his head? In which case, how the fuck is that connected to his head?? Or is it floating with magic?? I don't understand. Why the halo? Is he connected to the angels in some way? A traitor, perhaps? Is he somehow related to the angelification stuff that I barely know anything about?

ALSO ALSO what's with the Roman numeral six on his forehead??? Is that just a random tattoo or will that mean something lore-wise? If so, does that mean he's the sixth king to be before Lucifer? (this is assuming Luci is the last king and Asmo is the first king) Or is this a hint that he's the sixth king MC visits/breaks the contract with? If it's the latter...then I don't know if I have enough patience to play through however many chapters it will take until we get to Niflheim...and also...my phone storage can't handle it eheu

It could also just not be a Roman numeral six and it could be a Latin word/quote that I have no idea about because it's hidden by his hands. Salvi is the only Latin word I could think of with 'vi' but that means 'saved' and I don't know how that works with Belphie. Because then he got saved?? By who?? And why would he need saving?

So many questions and so many ideas, I wonder when they'll officially introduce him (hopefully not next year...).

Also, does anyone know when Lucifer's selfie card goes into the normal banners? Because I don't see him there and the only thing I'm sure will go into the normal banners is Levi's school card which will be three months from now iirc.

So about my experience so far... well i can´t play the battles cause is running on like 01 frames and keeps making my cell restart, i know it is cause of the overflow of servers but i will have to wait for it to get stable so i can play, i will keep login in but my updates may be slow and to be fair i not dissapointed cause i know pretty busy is trying their best with the small team they have, they also had some problems with love unholyc but still manage to pull trought it so that why i trust they besides i already an full on Satan simp and this posts sre mostly about my personal expirience, my theories and thoughts so i wanna give an fair judgement of the game at is best performance.

I was just thinking about this! I mean, to me Dantalian is S rank because I hc him as Asmodeus' son, but then again, that begs the question. Who is Asmo's right hand man?

While I doupt that literarly everything stated in Doki Doki Love Unholyc will become canon for Asmodeus, I still think that at least the broad strokes will. In that game Asmodeus isn't even all that horny, he's a tease most of the time and he flirts a lot, but after the first story part of the game I never got the impression that he's sexually interested in the player.

But a think I found very interesting is the dialog he has in the tutorials, specifically the tutorial to the shop. He gives off the impression that he doesn't have the patience to grind and he expects a child of him to inherent that also. That kind of fits with the sin of lust since lust can also mean a desire so intense for something that you are willing to do anything for it.

With all that being said, I think Asmodeus' second in command would need to have at least a few of the following:

1. Be immune to his charm (We can't have someone Phenix rule the country)

2. Probably overworked, more or less than Bael (Asmodeus spends a lot of time in the human world)

3. Extremely strict (Abaddon is a prison, kind off, and we know that Asmodeus always demands paperwork be done perfectly, so I doupt that he'd hire someone that doesn't follow the same work ethic)

But since this is all headcanoning, I have an extra idea that just poped into my head while writing this.

Asmodeus' right hand man wants to be the king of Abaddon. Similar to the Lion King story, he fucking hates the fact that not only is Asmo immortal but he has a kid that could take the throne any time. So the right hand man lusts for status and power. I think that would intrigue Asmodeus so he'll let the guy do his thing and if anything got too serious he'd just pick him up and put him in silent corner while he shows him how actual royalty does it.

I think another point that supports this theory is that the 'right hand man - king' dynamics have been quite different so far. Sitri is friendly and respectful of Satan, Bimet is a sugar baby that only acknowlegdes Mammon's existence, Foras is a simp, Bael is a childhood friend of Beel that started resenting him, Gamigin is Lucifer's son, Beleth is between Sitri and Foras in terms of devotion. So why not... why not a guy that wants power so much that he's willing to do anything for it.

With the introduction of Lucifer and Belphegor, they also introduced new S Class demons as their second-in-commands, Gamigin and Beleth, respectively.

I assume they will do the same with Asmodeus. So, Dantalian won’t be his second, instead a demon we haven’t met yet will be.

I’m wondering about what kind of dynamic Asmo and his second will have.

For example, we’ve had in Paradise Lost, pseudo little brother. In Niflheim, dependable and happy to serve. In Abyssos, stressed and overworked.

I think it would be ironic if Asmo’s second was asexual.

What kind of dynamic would you guys want them to have?

Okay okay okay, crazy 4 am theory time! I'm SUPER tired but I cant sleep. Time to snack on some Eater theories. Boi is still on my mind.

So I'm too tired to search for game transcripts but here's my hot take on Eater / Dorian Grey...

I played around with the idea that Eater is Dorian Grey for about 2 seconds purely because William states that the letter is from DG because of the "offical seal".

But then later on, Eater confirms that he was the one who sent the letter as a way to keep Mir pure and in the best shape possible for her ceremony. (I have some thoughts on this as well)

The only real reason why I'm hesitant to say Eater is DG is because someone has to know what DG looks like... yeah no one has seen him in a while because he "doesn't like to get involved with different sides," but come on!

Unholycs are nearly immortal, you can't tell me that they don't know what he looks like. Thats gotta be something they learn in butler school or whatever.

So my next theory is that Eater... ate DG. Hear me out!!!

The story of Dorian Grey IRL (The Portrait of Dorian Grey) is that he has a portrait of himself and can never die as long he doesn't look at it because it absorbs whatever tries to kill/harm him (right? Idk its late my mind is fuzzy)

What is it that William says about Eater?? That he absorbs the powers of the Unholycs he eats/kills.

(Which brings me to another theory that Eater isn't some special demon etc.... that he is just another Unholyc whose unique power just happens to be that he can absorb other's powers. But we can save this for another time)

William also says that Eater ate/absorbed an Unholyc who had the power to not be killed. Hmmmm, sounds familiar 🤔 👀

How else would Eater have access to DG's offical seal unless he killed him? I doubt the world's oldest Unholyc would willingly hand something like that over.

Now I know there are some questions for this theory too. Such as "Hey Cass . . . If DG can't die, how tf did Eater kill/eat him?"

And to that I say... good question. Idfk. Depending on how similar the Devs designed DG's background to be, perhaps Eater got a hold of his portrait?

We do know that Eater kills Unholycs, when he said he "only kills sinners." And I remember something about Eater being one of the only things that can kill an Unholyc. Thats why they are so scared of him.

I'm hoping the other routes help to shed more light on Eater's background. And really just more Unholyc lore. Don't make us wait until Season 3 & 4. I'm dying to know now!

Also does DG pop up in the other routes? (I just restarted the game to try for Hi's route so idk yet) If so, that could totally blow these theories apart but 🤷‍♀️

so why the hell...

do their EYES TURN RED IF THEY'RE HUMAN?!?!

and it doesn't happen just in this scene, it's kinda recurrent in the game

that stuck to my mind and got me thinking, since the twins are orphans and we don't know where they actually came from before becoming sol's brothers, could they actually REALLY be unholycs?

that'd explain why they were so strong even as children, and why they're so freakin' attractive too nowadays ahem

well, I know this isn't like a super complex theory, but I just wanted to share my two cents and see if y'all noticed it too and have thought about it before, pls, tell me your opinions on this!

I think the reason Mystic Messenger worked so well for me but Love Unholyc didn't (not yet atleast) despite having more time is because of the constant comical endings. With Mystic Messenger i get to spend 11 days with this cast of interesting characters and get close to one specific character and the bad endinge tend to be pretty easy to spot, so I actually get immersed in the story and get attached to these guys life.

With Unholyc however, even though I should have 14 days in theory, I'm saving constantly because I know im going to get punished because I was too nice to one character in one specific chatroom or somehow wasn't nice enough to another even though it feels like I was. At this point I haven't completed my first route (Jung Hi's) despite playing for 3 weeks because my progress is being reset thanks to these sudden endings that are way too easy to get, and sure it's easy enough to reload a save, but it sucks all the fun out of playing a new game if I have to use a guide constantly to make sure I don't press one wrong option and lose, so I just don't have the motivation to keep playing.

The only characters I'm like slightly attached to is Leo, William and Shalotte, the first two I'm sure I'll stop being attached to when I play their routes and the other has barely any game time so far. I cannot get immersed in a game that pulls me out every 2 days to show me a wacky scenario and delete my progress for minor 'mistakes'.

So this was announce along with Ark Academy and Love Unholyc season 3 (back around 2022 or 2021)

I have my suspicion that this was a cover up project for WHB, because after announcing WHB, this was never mention again.

Or they scrap this project and took the character design for this game and uses them for WHB.

Now that's my theory, and the game might be in development.
