Some more @gonzague-if fanart based on this heartbreaking scene from the demo featuring Nevers, my Prince Médée, and anguished kisses in the rain.
"You did not have the will to back away anymore. You were too tempted to let his voice, his gentle words lull your anger to sleep. Maybe if he just touched you, maybe if he kissed you, you could forgive him? But forgiving him would not change anything. He had ruined you. Still, you had to try. It was your last chance. You grabbed the collar of his waistcoat and pulled him to your level, letting his mouth crash against yours. Nevers hummed in surprise against your lips, yet he was prompt to respond, his fingers wrapping around your waist, hauling you close. You moved against him jerkily, sloppily, grabbing fabric and pulling again and again. His tongue was all too happy to meet yours when you pushed your way past his soft lips. He was so warm, against your mouth and against your stomach when you curved your spine to fit better against him. You kissed him hard and he responded tenderly, his fingers gently caressing you through the fabric of your shirt, slipping under your waistcoat. You were ashamed of the pitiful whimper that escaped your lips while your skin burned under his touch. In response, a deep moan made its way from his lungs to his mouth, resonating throughout your entire body, making you shiver under the heavy rain falling on both of you. That was when his lips parted from you. You chased after him.
“No... No..” He said, his voice husky. “I should not... I..."
His hands took a firm hold of your arms, locking you in place as he moved away. Refusing you.
“I am sorry, I am so sorry,” he muttered weakly.
And that settled it. There was no forgiving. No way back. No path forward. Fate had been sealed."

#Writer Problems
Meet the 15th character in this series with a name that starts with A! No one will notice hahaha
Going back and deleting the sighs to shake things up a bit because there’s 120 in the manuscript
*checks notes* whoops you died already, Side Character, my bad
*one paragraph* Perfect. Amazing. Poetic. Profound. *the next paragraph* what is words do?
Knocking out a 6k word chapter in an hour/Spending a week on a single transition
*slaps down a shiny new character with zero plan* You don’t know anything about them and neither do I, let’s discover them together
Realistically, there’s gotta be at least one casualty from this fantasy battle so
. *rolls dice* no not you. *rolls dice again* yep. That’ll do. Sorry, pal.
Is this badass or stupid?
Is this hot or cringey?
*checks notes* damn it, plot hole.
Upon this most recent round of edits, you, Cool Side Character, no longer made the cut. Mayhaps you’ll be recycled later.
*checks notes* damn it, I fixed that plot hole by opening another plot hole.
Jesus christ I wrote ‘just’ 308 times across 120k words?
That is definitely not how you spell that
*dreams about my characters in full HD technicolor* awwww yeah, where’s the popcorn? *cannot replicate how cool it was in actual words*
Unes- Unnecs- Unessis- Unnessessarily- Unnecessarily fuck
Do I go with the British grey or the American gray?
*cries* this epic was supposed to be a novella
Well these two were supposed to be having an argument here. But making out is fine. I’d like to see where this goes.
Oops I forgot the straights, here that nameless dude over there isn't confirmed gay, so you can headcanon that he's straight if you want
Oops I forgot that marriage exists uhhh yeah their other parents are all dead or deadbeats
Fuck love triangles here’s a double-helix dodecahedron.
One day my fandom will write so much smut about this guy and I am here for it cause I sure ain’t doing it myself
Oops I forgot people with green eyes exist but brown eyes? I got 20
*describing the writing process* It was the best of times, it was the worst of times it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair.
I. Hate. Chapter. Titles.
Is this profound or pretentious?
*crafts an absolutely banger metaphor* I hope someone notices this. I put a lot of work into it
I didn’t spend 6 months perfecting this masterpiece for you to sass that the curtains are just blue. I’ll write the goddamn essay myself about all the depth behind my color choices, sir.
Picture that Spongebob dehydrated in Sandy’s treehouse meme ‘cause that’s me on round 12 of edits
I gotta be up for work in 4 hours but this monologue is more important
*distills 30 pages of worldbuilding notes into 2 paragraphs of a fluff scene* somebody will appreciate this, won’t they?
*listening to my book playlist* one day when this is adapted I hope this artist is still alive to compose the main theme cause this shit fucks
*cries* this trilogy was supposed to be just one book
If I turn this plot hole into a character flaw, they become the problem while I remain god
*looting themes, monologues, character names, and archetypes off the corpses of my dead WIPs* You won’t miss them anyway.
While it also immortalizes this person’s dickish behavior, yes, I will, in fact, write a whole character’s backstory as a middle-finger to this one bitch from 10 years ago.
*steps back to gaze at all the suffering done unto my deuteragonist* but it was worth it, wasn’t it?
*staring down yet another loathsome action set piece* whyyyyy do I do this to myself?
Nobody’ll notice my author insert if I dice them up and divvy them out in bits to my entire cast, right? Right? It’s like a shell game of what’s author and what’s fiction
These two are going to be a problematic ship one day and I will burn that bridge when I get there
*2am and I am scouring the internet for that one piece of a fort’s defenses because not remembering is the current root of my insomnia*
*Nudging my favorite character who isn’t the protagonist out onto stage* golly I hope the readers like him
Waiting. For. Editors. Takes. So. Long.
Holy butts accidental motif and deep symbolism fucks. I am so pretending I did that on purpose.
To subtext or not to subtext? Nah, to subtext. *laughs maniacally*
Trying to ride that line between so obvious it’s painful but also juuust enough foreshadowing so you slap yourself for not seeing it sooner
TIL that I have been using that word completely wrong for years. How quaint.
No you’re derivative schlock. I’m crowd surfing the books that came before and loving every second of it.
Damn I wasted a really good name on this throwaway character
*checks notes* wait, who's taller? Where does your hair part? Are you left or right-handed?
*musing over a character slated for death* damn, I really like you. Since I am in fact god, you shall live another day. *rewerites the entire finale*
God I hope people like this story

what love polygon are you conjuring up!? kinda scared lolol
but honestly i’m a sucker for love triangles
SOMETIMES. really depends. kinda can’t wait to see what love dodecahedron you’ll make for liar liar!!!
liar, liar masterlist here:
honestly, nothing too complicated (i hope?). but things will lowkey get confusing down the line, only ‘cause of so many misunderstandings, wrongs, L takes, and more that you’ll see happening left, right, and centre 😔
i hear you, i’m definitely a sucker for love triangles. like yes, put me in the middle while two guys fight for my affection (this has never happened in my life ever, and why would it? i don’t even communicate with the opposite sex 😭) but reading it, if done well, makes me giddy inside.
and when it’s done badly, i wanna lock myself in my room and only return to society once i’m mentally prepared to face the stupid reality of love triangles — that 9 times out of 10, they’re never up to parr 😟
i’m excited to see what you think of my take on the love triangle trope! <3 ty for reading!

have you ever felt tempted into making auron alex endgame? if you have...how opposed would you be to making that into a small tiny alt ending? 😋😋
The screech I just let out into the comfort of my loft. Listen, yes, I absolutely have, but not in any truly official sense. Probably as long as I'm alive, Halex are the OTP, with the strongest attachment of love, almost beyond their control. They don't even choose to, it just...is.
Regarding writing that type of thing, you know your bitch is tempted, HOWEVER, knowing your bitch as you do, I would absolutely go to write some small snippet and end up rewriting the whole fucking thing, and I don't have time for that, and it's also just not the point, so it'd be a little bit of a useless endeavor. The snippets in the Late-Night publication are all factual and canon-compliant, so that would have to be some other off-shoot.
That being said, what I am already working towards in doing all this is an indeterminate tangled mess of poly nonsense, where everything grows to be a bit more free in nature and fluid connections are obtained. In their history, mainly, the monogamy of Halex was the status quo, but it's been like over 2 thousand years, and they're so comfortable and solid in their love for one another that they grow to be more free to explore any passing whim they have and deepen their connections to others without any sort of threat on them as lovers. I've already written things that highlight this, but it hasn't come out yet. Especially when more memories are unlocked via Conall, their perspective naturally shifts to better handle the complexities they all have. And Conall himself kinda... *tucks some hair behind my ear, ya know... Aha. Has a particular role to play there..........
But ANYWAY, essentially, Auron does become an end-game of sorts, and I always wanted him to be, but it was never meant to be in the official series. That wasn't the story arc of the series at all, it just articulated the complexities at play, and it set the foundations and the tone for future shit I knew I would crack into later for anyone who was still as invested as I was. Like little gift baskets. But honestly, a triangle that intense and that strong was always meant to become solidified as an end-game, it just took them forever, and a lot needed to happen to help them along in that path. And it's not just the triangle, but others as well, and you'll just have to see what comes out when im done. It's more like a pentagonal dodecahedron of love connections and bonds. And some I really toe the line with, crossing into taboo territory a smidge, but you won't see that for quite a while yet. You might be able to guess where I'm going with that tho ..
So yeah, that's my general answer.

Now that I think about it, I remember shojo anime of around Inuyasha’s time period having some focus on love triangles (Peach Girl, Fushigi YĂ»gi). I wouldn’t be surprised if Sunrise saw this and thought, hey Inuyasha may be shonen but we need to pull in the girls, let’s shove a love triangle in for the ratings. Which leads to the director to this day claiming the love triangle is what fans loved 🙄
Well I don't think it's fair to say that the anime added the love triangle. The situation between Inuyasha/Kagome/Kikyo was more nuanced in the manga, but it's still a situation where a guy has two girls who love him and he has to make a choice. For Inuyasha it was "dying with Kikyo or living with Kagome" and he constantly chose the latter so the ending was extremely obvious, but it still fits the criteria of a "love triangle" I think. Takahashi has been doing stories about Love Dodecahedron, past lovers, and the likes since the 70s/80s despite her works always being shonen/seinen.
But yeah for Sunrise and their changes that dumbed down the Inuyasha/Kagome/Kikyo situation it could have been influenced by so many things, we'll most likely never know. Fushigi Yugi is a harem right? I definitely think Sunrise was trying to make people doubt that Kagome and Inuyasha were going to be endgame. A fanbase being invested because they want their ship to win is definitely good for ratings! Too bad Sunrise doesn't realize now that Inuyasha and Kagome's relationship on its own is what made a lot of use love the series, not the prolonged drama with Kikyo đŸ„Ž

Hi! I’m finally getting around to that intro post I promised months ago, and honestly, you could be here for some time.
I’m squatting on a whole bunch of social media accounts, but this is the only place I feel safe anymore, though I do have a little reader group on the Meta-hole (đŸ€ą). I wish I could get my AuDHD head around Discord, but it feels like the old Yahoo boards mated with a speeding train, and I'm just too tired for that.
Wherever you look, I’ll be indigoinka or Inka York there.
This is me:
Tumblr media
About me, then:
I love tea. Would I even be British if I didn’t?
I love cake. British.
And cider. British.
Yeah, and pie.
Food. I like food.
Please rec queer TV shows to me because I don’t watch as much as I should, and sometimes I just need to refill my crusty old well.
I love supporting indie authors, and rarely read trad stuff these days unless the blurb and sample are god tier.
Feel free to ask questions and tag me in writing games, or whatever shenanigans you get up to around here.
What do I write?
I write queer books, mostly urban fantasy, and usually set in the same storyworld. I also write contemporary gay romance, sometimes with an alien twist. And I’m wide with my books, so you can find them at all the major online retailers and in library catalogues.
I write what I like to read, which sometimes includes problematic tropes, but mostly includes wholesome shit like twin stories, sibling banter, ride or die friendships, a hearty mix of fluff and angst, found families, annoying ghosts, salty supernaturals, cinnamon rolls with knives, and sentient vehicles. Oh, and goats. I love me a judgemental goat.
My favourite tropes
Well, it started as a love triangle/square/dodecahedron, but now everybody's fucking (I don't know what this trope is actually called)
Forced proximity/only one bed (or coffin, in my case)
Friends to lovers (AKA idiots who took too long to notice how perfect they are)
Grumpy/Sunshine
Secret twins
Rivals to lovers
Hurt/comfort
Tumblr media
My storyworlds
Cascade Apocrypha (queer paranormal/urban fantasy in many subgenres from pirate adventures to cosy mysteries to paranormal romance)
Feverish (contemporary gay romance)
Dracate System (AKA Gay Space Bridgerton)
My books
My first series, Not the Same River, is urban fantasy, upper YA/crossover, set in the Cascade Apocrypha storyworld. It features angels, demons, vamps, vaewolves, goats, succubus nuns, and villains to cry over. Book five is out this month, and the final book is out in February. This is the story of my heart, and the one that spurred a thousand spin-offs that I'll never have time to write.
Tumblr media
The first book in that series, A Storm of Paper Starlings, is complete on Wattpad and Inkitt. I was gonna put it on AO3, but it feels weird because I tore all my Potter fics down when JKR started flashing her arse at the entire world, and everything I had on there felt dirty. Anyway, I digress. I might go back. Talk me into it.
I also have two other books updating on Wattpad:
đŸ©· Victorian Vampire Daddy (MM historical romantic suspense/Cascade Apocrypha)
đŸ©· My Ex & His Boyfriend (MMM/Feverish storyworld)
My other current series, Tales from the Noctuary (Cascade Apocrypha), has two books out at the retailers:
đŸ©· Secrets at the Door (historical mystery/suspense with lesbian romance): fat, beekeeping lesbian vampire, queer well-demon with a bad haircut, nonbinary treasure who sometimes makes bad decisions, everybody be gay.
đŸ©· Puddles in the Pavement (historical mystery and outright shenanigans): queer archangel brother detectives, a perky butler, an escort of indeterminate gender with the worst singing voice in the known world, a vampire duke with terrible table manners, and a Home Secretary with an unasked for appendage (let's hope that doesn't get around).
I have two more books written for this series so far, which will likely debut in my subscription.
Getting to that...
My subscription
13 Club: After Dark is hosted at Ream Stories, the only subscription platform designed specifically for authors and readers, and it is amazing.
You just click on the book cover you want, and the app will drop you into the social e-reader right where you left off, so you can comment right there inside the story. It’s like Patreon + Wattpad + a community board + extra sauce.
Honestly, I could gush about it all week.
This is also me:
Tumblr media
So, what’s there?
Well, first, you can follow me there (which is free, obvs) and get access to:
The Weakest Link (Not the Same River #0): features the series MC’s twin sister and the coven she grew up in.
The Cursed Bones of Sergeant Boom!: a contemporary paranormal mystery involving a ghost who gatecrashed a funeral and got followed home by a necromantified corgi (as one does).
Pride’s Treasure: a series of mini adventures with characters from all the stories above, where all the chaos is your fault, because the MC of this story is YOU!
In the paid tiers, there’s 8 weeks early access to the two stories updating on Wattpad, the whole Not the Same River series so far (book 5 is updating now, before it hits the retailers at the end of October 2023). There’s also a 13 Club exclusive story called Earth Render, which is MMMMF (but not reverse harem), again set in the Cascade Apocrypha storyworld. That one features a witch with no beginning, a raven shifter with the best taste in pets, a vampire with memory issues, a vaewolf who can’t control his wolfism, and a nephilim with a huge secret. I promise not to give the Archangel Gabriel a horse penis in this story 👀
There are also physical welcome packs for some of the tiers, and all members are rewarded with After Darkling points, which they can save up each month for sweet treats, like a personalised drabble, or a one-shot featuring their favourite character, or some mystery merch. I love my After Darklings and my little club so much.
My main WIPs at the moment are:
Earth Render serial (mentioned above)
The Dryad's Curse: Pirates of Siorai trilogy (paranormal pirate adventure with romance/Cascade Apocrypha)
Gay Space Bridgerton (space fantasy romance with interplanetary political intrigue and hapless humans/Dracate System)
Almost done... maybe
That was a whole lot of intro (mate, do I love the word shenanigans), but I’m a busy goblin, and though my days are only marginally more comfortable than my painful nights, I still feel grateful that I get to do this every day.
I’d love to chat with you here, on Wattpad,  in my FB group (same name as my sub) or over at 13 Club: After Dark. My subscription is what keeps me and my writing going, so if you’re here because you already love my stories, and you have the means, I’d love to see you over there. Your support would mean the world to me, whether it’s a follow or more. I love in-story comments more than life.
I’d love more friends on here, though. So if you’re into queer media and love reading, feel free to follow and I'll follow back.
That’s it from me. I’m finally shutting the fuck up.
Come chat with me whenever you want.
Stay safe!

do you have any recommendations for lesbian love triangles 👀 asking for a friend
canon ones? not as many as i would like lmfao
obligatory locked tomb recommendation here obviously. it's more of a fucked up biblically accurate dodecahedron than a love triangle but yknow.
otherwise there's rly not much i would actually wanna put someone else through qualitywise?
the favourite (2018) is an obvious recommendation if you haven't seen it yet
i found plain bad heroines (by emily danforth) kinda disappointing overall, but the relationship between the three leads was pretty fun to read nonetheless
the imperial radch series is definitely also up there, especially because it has the added fun dynamic of one character in the love pentagon (?) being already dead lol
otherwise i'm drawing a blank rn sorry :( clearly we need more

Ukyou And Tarou
Ukyou And Tarou
Ranma 1/2, as may be expected of a gag sex comedy manga that ran for a decade, has a huge cast of characters. There are a host of characters who show up for exactly one story, such as some of my favourites, Herb, Shinnosuke and Ryuu Kumon, even if their appearance stretches across multiple issues. I guess I should mention Rakkyosai at this point because hey, remember Rakkyosai? No? Just me? Anyway. Technically, the near-final arc of the story, the Phoenix Mountain Arc, features a bunch of one-hit-wonder characters too like Kiima and Saffron, and oh, hey Pink and Link are in that basket too. If you haven’t read the manga, you must trust me this is a kind of impressive, like I’m doing some strange kind of wheelie on a type of vehicle you don’t understand.
When you limit the cast of the show to just the characters who showed up in two stories or more, the characters that show up the least tends to start indicating some obscure ones. You might be surprised how rarely Kodachi shows up, for all of her significance to the anime in the early periods, or how often Gosunkugi does. Some ‘major’ characters in terms of the end-game romantic options, like Akari and Konatsu live in this space, too, where they never really ‘belong’ to the cast, but they show up at least twice to make sure you know the author didn’t forget about them. Tsubasa Kurenai is here too, in this ‘almost minor’ characters, as is the series’ weird Sexy Child Hinako Ninomiya.
These characters are great fanfodder because they both show how big your brain is when you know these relatively-obscure characters and because their appearances usually mean they have enough of an idea to do something with, but they’re also not so fleshed out you know everything about what interests them. They’re both defined and open, and that makes them great for shipping, in the way that Ranma 1/2 presented a world here you can treat every character as some component of a complex love dodecahedron. Inevitably, you look for a major character who can be, like a molecule in a specific reaction, connected to some other character with a strong enough bond that doesn’t interfere with the major players you were looking to bump into one another.
One of the most challenging characters to attach somewhere is Ukyou Kuonji, because she has both multiple obvious options (Konatsu and Tsubasa) and good reasons for not wanting to end up with either (a seemingly obvious lack of interest and he’s a shithead respectively). That leads to browsing all these other obscure characters trying to find someone Ukyou has a pre-established relationship with which would be interesting, or better yet, someone who has no relationship to her. Ukyou is a really great character, she’s long-running, you see her in a lot of circumstances, and she’s both a handsome boy and a pretty girl. In the great love triangle structure of Ranma 1/2, Ukyou was created, it seems, to be a reasonable alternative to Akane, because she’s not uh, some variety of stupid (Ryouga) or evil (Shampoo).
It is in this space my favourite Ranma 1/2 character appears; the boy whose name is an insult, the slur-popping knuckle-cracking shapeshifting monster boy, Pantyhose Tarou. Tarou for you who don’t know, is a
villain? Let’s say villain, who shows up in three stories: first time he shows up, he kidnaps Akane in an attempt to lure Happousai to him. Second time, he tries to douse Happousai with the Spring of Drowned Samaritan, but it’s actually Spring of Drowned Twins, and so Ranma fights him there to stop him from making Happousai an even bigger problem. Third time, he shows up being chased by a young lady named Rouge, who is also a Hindu god (
is this racist?), blowing him up, meaning Ranma and he have to team up to fight her. They defeat her by giving her medicated back pads, because six arms means you have at least twice as many shoulder problems.
All these adventures, especially the focus on getting Happousai is tied to the twofold problem that Happousai is dangerous as hell, and because he wants to convince Happousai to do something consensually: He needs Happousai to change his name. Which is, as I said, Pantyhose Tarou. Because Happousai is the one who named him, and it’s an obscure rule in his obscure Chinese village. And I get that, I understand wanting to change a name away from something that sucks. The challenge he gets presented with here is that Happousai is a dude who absolutely sucks, and that means that convincing him is only ever done with extreme applications of pressure, which are hard to bring to bear because Happousai is also one of the five most dangerous physical combatants in the whole series.
Of course, you could make the case that Tarou is probably up in that same space, that same kind of immensely powerful dangerbeast, because in addition to being just an immensely skilled martial artist, he’s also got the Jusenkyou curse of the NiuhƍmanmaorennÄ«chuan, or the spring of drowned “yeti holding an eel and crane while riding an ox.” Which, as I said before, yes, just glosses over ‘yetis are real’ but what it is, essentially, is a gigantic minotaur with wings that can (somehow) fly. Then he adds to it by getting another curse (drowned octopus), which adds in that if you get cursed while you’re cursed, the curses combine, so now he’s a gigantic minotaur with tentacles that can shoot ink. That’s! Sick! As! Hell!
Aaaand uh, of course, there’s also the fact that he’s an antagonistic asshole who disdains Ranma, despite being perceived, at times, as being more aggressively fem than Ranma. With uhm, some slurs? That’s
not great, that’s not ideal. Yes, it was a different time (the 1980s) and Japan has a different relationship to language but it’s a bit
rich to try and claim it’s not in the same space as a dude who throws around slurs to be edgy. Tarou is a character I have a real fondness for, despite realising as I grew older, what a big dumb shithead he is. It’s not that I’ve changed in my general take on the character – the fact he’s a competitive dipshit is an important part of his character after all!
For a long time I’ve had it in my head that Tarou, a gender-noncompliant prettyboy goon who hated his name and had a bad relationship with his dad could work well in a relationship with Uykou, a gender-noncompliant handsome girl who has a bad relationship with her dad (and also Ranma’s dad). We also don’t know how they think about one another, and in a sex comedy idiot-fest like Ranma 1/2, there’s always room for a first meeting that creates a context that lets two characters form a relationship based on whatever you want. Ukyou is into Ranma, Tarou thinks Ranma is an idiot, but Tarou also is an idiot, as might be indicated by his choices of name changes being extremely stupid. Ukyou’s someone who knows what it takes to construct a new identity (her crossdressing alter-ego), so she has a ground to at least be able to help Tarou get a handle on his relationship to his name and gender, and that’s interesting to me.
On the other hand, we also know they never meet one another, and while Ukyou’s taste in men includes at least exactly one immense idiot (Ranma), that’s based out of a very long term relationship that she’s had to reconcile through multiple stages of life. The reason these two characters can work is because their ability to work together is completely undefined. Essentially, this is a relationship of negative spaces.
This is, as best I can put it together, a ship that I have had in the back of my mind as ‘a good idea’ for nearing on twenty years. It’s detritus from old arguments on USENET newsgroups and half-read rememberings of a pre-translation version of a manga that I only now have begun to read as a whole text, and I think I probably owe quite a lot of my thinking around it on to basically one guy I haven’t spoken to in like ten years.
Check it out on PRESS.exe to see it with images and links!

Even though I don't understand it completely, right now I am absolutely in love with the idea of Dehn surgery. The fact that crazy manifolds like, for example, the Poincaré homology sphere (or dodecahedral space) can be obtained by taking a solid torus that's knotted like a trefoil knot out of the 3-sphere and gluing it back in with a twist is just insane to me.
Like doing that gives you this picture, for some reason:
Tumblr media
What in the math do dodecahedrons have to do with trefoils, and in this manner? Too crazy if you ask me.
Related to that example, I'm similarly interested with hyperbolic 3-manifolds, and hyperbolic knots, which are knots whose complements in the 3-sphere are hyperbolic manifolds. I think it's that I find it so nice that, as I'm learning more about algebraic and geometric topology, knots pop up more and more. When I first learned about them I thought they were cool just because of how tangible they were to work with as objects of topology, but seeing them pop up in many of the more involved parts of low-dimensional topology is a welcome surprise.
A (seemingly) unrelated subject that I'm also excited about is matroid theory, the study of certain combinatorial objects called matroids. I'm interested in it because it shows up in many unrelated-seeming problems. For example, classifying all the ways to arrange some lines in the plane turns out to be a matroid problem. Like, for 3 lines either they can all be parallel, two can be parallel and one can cross, all three can cross in a triangle, or all three can intersect at a point like an asterisk. I was introduced to this line arrangement problem in precalc and when I went to see how you could do it for more lines, I found out it was about matroids and it piqued my interest, but I never really got into it because high school. the nonbinary urge to write an extremely messy Aichi-Kai-Gaillard love triangle fic where they all have feelings for each other but are too dumb to figure out that polyamory is an option

people say love triangles are overused and yet I found myself in one after another throughout literally the entire 8 years I was dating before I met my husband. it’s like teenagers and young people don’t know what they want or something.

Twelfth night is fucking ridiculous... like it is really entertaining and all but like... it’s hard enough to summarize it all idk how Shakespeare managed to write the whole damn thing and have it make sense

Unpopular Opinions:
X-men: Evolution is the best version of any adaptation of the X-men.
Madelyne Pryor didn’t have to die or turn evil. And even if she did turn evil for a bit, there is no reason why she couldn’t have been redeemed and still be happily married to Scott.
If you want to make an audience root for and empathize with a character who’s known for their villainy for as long as their first appearance, that’s fine. The solution to do this is NOT to take another character who’s known to be good and heroic and suddenly make them secretly morally grey, and then an outright even worse villain so that the other villain looks better and more noble by comparison without changing their motives.
The only good thing to come out of the mutants moving to Krakoa is the Hellfire Gala. I like some of the the outfits the marvel characters get to wear.
Irene Adler should have stayed dead. So should have a number of other mutants.
The Stepford Cuckoo’s were better off when it was just the 3-in-1 (Mindee/Irma, Celeste, and Phoebe) who also explored their own individuality; Esme and Sophie should be their own individuals as well.
Tension =/= always romance
Jean and Scott either should have just chosen each other or the other people they were involved with. Polyamory is actually not the ultimate solution for all love triangles/dodecahedrons.
Havok deserves more than pining after his evil ex-sister-in-law.
There was no reason for Dorma to be killed off except to make Namor unhappy and single.
Gwenpool deserves good things.
