I'M SO GLAD I SENT THOSE REQUESTS IN!!!!!!!! Just knowing there's another Agere Drawtective out there brings me so much joy <3

And no one asked but here's the full rundown on my Drawtectives Agere headcanons:

Rosé was the one who got them all into it and explained it to them. She's a Younger Teen/Big Sister regressor, specifically around 14 years old most times. She likes to treat York as a baby brother when she's regressed and do his hair and nails, and he just lets her. She doesn't really need a caregiver and did fine on her own for years, until she met Jancy and completely changed her mind she loves her cranky aloof mom <3

York doesn't get it but he doesn't need to get it to engage with Agere. He himself probably qualifies as a Little Brother Dreamer. He doesn't mentally regress, but he likes acting as Rosé's baby brother and finds a lot of comfort in not being expected to talk or read when she's regressed. He's yet to make the connection between finding comfort in these activities and missing his real older brother.

Grendan falls into that grey area between Pet Regressors and Therian/Otherkin types. She's not a puppy like most Pet Regressors, he's more of an Old Dog type. The kinda dog that just lays there while you poke at it and tie it's fur in ponytails, the perfect babysitter type dog. So Grenda is both a Therian Companion Caregiver and a Pet Regressor at the same time.

The three of them only ever regress together, usually Rosé is the trigger, getting caught up in old habits or silly teen girly things and dragging the other two in with her. Their favorite place to regress is their shared apartment and Jancy's office (when Rosé doesn't have work to be doing of course)

Jancy is super observant and obviously knows the difference when the trio have regressed, but she barely treats them any different. She finds Rosé likes praise and showing off York, so she'll applaud at whatever weird hairstyle she's done for him and compliment her work, but the other two are perfectly fine with the normal way she speaks to them. Probably because Jancy is the type to speak to a baby and a dog like one would a police officer at a crime scene.

Eugene is the only one I can't figure out, I feel like he'd get the most out of regression, and sense he's their son I feel like the crew caregiving for a really tiny Genie would be very cute, but I dunno it doesn't click in my head. Maybe he just doesn't know about Agere yet, or that it happens to him. He's just unaware about himself in a lot of aspects.

I think Caregiver Felix would be very cute though...

Just another trans man chiming in. I didn’t realize how bad things are going until I tried to go to a queer meet up in the next city over.

I live in a very rural area where I 1. Can’t get a job because it’s my hometown and everyone Knows and 2. Can’t make friends because everyone Knows. But I haven’t had a car in ages so I was stuck.

Well, finally got a car (and a job! Where the men treat me like an Other and the women treat me like I’m afraid of periods despite having had many and they’re aware of this because Everyone Knows) and went to said meet up.

With in the first hour:

1. I was infantilized by and condescended to by a cis woman who was almost 10 years younger than me and thought she could enlighten me on the trans experience.

2. Told by a transwoman (who she herself said she identified as Very Woman) that all trans men “get over that and figure out they’re at least a little non binary or effeminate” when sharing that I felt like a “binary” masculine trans man.

3. Was told I couldn’t identify with MY womanhood because I don’t feel feminine at all (even though I’ve been a man for 6 years and a woman for 30)

4. And basically ended up alienated in a corner because I couldn’t engage with anyone without being treated like a toddler or having jokes made about how I look like a cis dude bro (I kind of am a dude bro. I go surfing and snowboarding and I really love wearing tee turtle graphic tees with joggers and these really cool boots) and they werent friendly jokes.

So yeah. You have it just so easy as a trans guy and it’s really cool and awesome being pushed out of your own community for being yourself.

jesus christ, i'm so sorry you've been through that, but thank you so much for sharing your experience. i'm noticing a disturbing pattern of trans women and transfems violently, proudly misgendering trans men for no reason. can we please stop this?

All three of them are trans, actually! Carlo strikes me as a person who went thru the lesbian-to-nonbinary-to-transgender pipeline, but I think Wendy knew she wanted to be treated like her twin sister was from a fairly early age, so transitioned much sooner than her husband. (Mama cosma’s disapproval also forced Carlo to socially transition in secret, and he wasn’t able to begin PHYSICALLY transitioning until turning 18 and moving out)

As for HOW Perry discovered he was NOT in fact, a little girl, and rather a little boy?

Timmy noticed first, actually!! Though his adopted parents didn’t go out of their way to mention to their son that they were both transgender, a young Timmy eventually noticed them doing thier hormone shots, and Carlo and Wendy had to assure him that they were both okay, they just needed to take thier “mommy and daddy medication” sometimes. As Timmy got older, he noticed other things that made his parents unique, and they would explain anything he asked them, so by the time Poof was born, Ten-year-old Timmy had a pretty solid understanding of what it MEANT to be “transgender”. This understanding is part of the reason he wished on a star for a baby brother- he knew it MIGHT be possible for his parents to have a bio child as well, but also knew thier unique biology might make it difficult

(Sidenote: if ur parents still let u think babies were delivered by the stork or something by TEN, my condolences brother ☠️)

ANYWAY- from the MOMENT his baby sibling was born, Timmy and Poof were INSEPARABLE, with Timmy wanting to help with the baby in any way he could, as often as possible. His parents certainly appreciated the help, and baby Poof was never hurting for love or attention 💕

As Poof grew, his parents encouraged him to play with whatever toys he liked best, and do whatever he wanted, but USUALLY what Poof wanted to do was “whatever his big brother was doing”. From video games to comic books, poof was always incredibly interested in whatever Timmy was interested in, and his brother was more than happy to read the pages out loud, or give him a controller to smack around (usually unplugged lmao, regular older brother shi)

Even when Poof was a toddler, Timmy would occasionally notice things that didn’t quite sit right with him- stuff like poof getting upset when Wendy would tell Timmy his was playing too rough with his sister (despite how much poof LOVED being chucked into soft objects or wrestled), or how much poof seemed to enjoy being called things like “little dude”- but I think it was a visit to Grandmas house when Perry was 7 that finally made him ask the big question- (Drabble below this comic that legit makes me a lil nauseous to look at and I considered not including 🙃)

DRABBLE START

Timmy goes outside to thier front porch, to find poof already sitting on the steps, having clearly retreated from the Christmas party inside. Timmy sits with him and they chat for a while, before Timmy finally goes out on a limb and asks-

“Hey P- random question but- do you ever like, wonder what it would be like if you were a boy?”

Poof shrugs, simply responding “well yeah, everybody thinks about that….”

Timmys nose scrunches, as his hunch starts seeming more plausible

“Bud… I’ve like, never thought about that. even once.”

“Of course not, you already ARE a boy!” Poof pouts

Timmy sighs, clarifying- “no no, like- I’ve never really wondered what it would be like to be a GIRL- eveb when I once dressed like one to hang out with my crush!” He added with a laugh, but Poofs frown only deepened-

“Hmf! Why WOULD you? Being a girl STINKS.”

And with that, Timmy had his answer-

“Ah. Yeeeahhh, thought ya might feel that way… c’mon lil dude- I think we should ah- talk to mom and dad.”

Timmy scooped his younger sibling into his arms, but poof looked up at him with confusion

“Did I say something wrong?”

“Nah, Poofy- I just, uh- think they’ll be able to explain better…”

By Eight years old Perry had fully socially transitioned, coming out at his eighth birthday party, with his parents even getting his name legally changed as a ninth birthday present 💜 ;w;

Luffy really is trying to be thoughtful when he does things for you. He just ends up messing around and, well- messing things up! Like how he tried to bake you a cake in the middle of the night since Sanjiwould never let him in the day! 😊 (The kitchen almost burned down. Franky had to repair it 😬)

Luffy was banned from a number of things after that but he did make you a mud pie! He used to make them all the time when he was younger and he figured you’d like one! Here ya go! 😃👍

Luffy and you barely have and slow and relaxing moments but when you do it’s very comforting. Usually in the middle of the night during a rare occasion that Luffy ate enough so he doesn’t get up for snacks or adventure

but you get up, and you see how calm and peaceful he looks while sleeping. You lovingly observe his face for a bit before going back to sleep <3

Luffy always has to have you around when he eats. if your far away and he sees you, he pulls you close with his stretchy limbs. even if you are close he’ll basically have you in a literal choke hold as he balloons from overeating 😅😭

he burps, laughs, kisses you on the temple and keeps eating. In that order. 💕

Luffy will obv still eat if your not around but as soon as your in sight he’s pulling you over

Zoro isn’t really all that much softer or tougher based off gender other than him going easy on women

so your relationship is pretty laid back unless your very loud with your affections

Okay so a new little idea of mine

You know how in fics where Obi-Wan and Anakin are already married/together, the twins are all grown up and they start to bring home their first boyfriends/girlfriends?

Well Anakin is usually portrayed as the one who disapproves of it, especially regarding Han as a possible love interest for either of the twins but,,, I'm thinking.

Anakin is a romantic to the core. He loves love, and perhaps in a better life for himself he'd delight in watching corny romantic films and swoons over period dramas (his whole speech to padme when he confesses? Please he was Like That for a Reason ™).

He's an incurable romantic, and now that he has the love of his life Obi-Wan by his side always, I bed he'd love to see his children find the right person for them (tho I don't ofc dismiss him being protective over them or giving the possible love interest a stink eye).

But this is more about Han, specifically.

Usually in fics where he's a love interest for either Luke or Leia, Anakin disapproves of it while Obi-Wan is more encouraging and I'm like,,,,

No, sirs. No, madams. No, non-binary folks.

Han is a pilot and a good one a that. He loves his ship and he's a proficient mechanic too. Anakin would prolly be a bit wary about his past but they'd bond about their shared passion sooner or later. Not saying they'd be buddy buddy but the possibility is there.

Obi-Wan tho.

We have canon material about his interactions with Han! And if y'all don't think while watching their interactions that Obi-Wan is so over Han's bullshit I dunno what film have you watched lol

How Reader Meets Them (Poly! Twisted Wonderland x Non-binary! Reader Part 1)

Leona & Malleus: Y/n was not happy about being dragged to another world and forced to attend a school for male villains. Anyone would have a hard time with that but being that they were non-binary and fem bodied it was especially hard. Most of the students made passes at them and refused to respect their boundaries and gender identity.

Y/n finally lost it on some savanaclaw students when one smacked their ass and made a comment about wanting 'her' as their 'girlfriend'. This particular student had made those comments several times and now Y/n couldn't take it. They screamed.

"You little bastard, I have told you over and over I am non-binary and it is not okay to touch me. Yet you keep calling a woman and touching me. I hope you have fun in hell when you die a painful death.", they yelled furiously.

The savanaclaw student and his friends snickered. Then two shadows feel over Y/n and they paled. Y/n looked behind them to see a brunette with lion ears and tail and a black haired guy with horns. Y/n know who they were but had never officially meet Leona Kingscholar, the lion, and Malleus Draconia, the horned dragon guy. Neither looked happy as they looked at Y/n and the savanaclaw students.

"Oi, you little shits, respect them. How would you like it if I called you a woman and grabbed your ass?", yelled the brunette. The savanaclaw students flinched. "We're sorry we were just messing around with h... Them. I mean them. Please don't hurt us.", yells the student who had grabbed Y/n's butt.

"You should apologise to the child of man, not us.", says Malleus. Leona nods beside him. The savanaclaw students nod at Y/n. "We're sorry. We shouldn't have done that to you. We'll never do it again.", said a different savanaclaw student.

"Good, now leave.", says Leona. They savanaclaw students hurry off. Y/n was now alone with Leona and Malleus.

They bowed to the two males. They were about to say thank you when a hand touched their head. Then the hand begin to stroke their head. "Malleus, stop that. Your being weird.", says Leona.

"Doesn't the child of man want me to pet their head. This is what you do when you want me to pet your head.", says Malleus retracting their hand. "No. The herbivore is trying to thank us. It's a human custom.", says Leona.

Y/n stands up and let's out a giggle. Right then they knew they were a goner. They had to have them.

Jamil & Kalim: Y/n was confused when they got an invitation to a party at Scarbia. They didn't know anyone from that dorm but decided to go with Grim anyway. The invitation said to dress nice. So they put on their prettiest sun dress. Despite having a masculine body it look good on them and would be good for the hot weather in Scarbia.

They didn't think much of it until they their and more then half the party was starring at them. The rest didn't seem to care including the host, Kalim. Kalim had come to greet them and complimented them on their dress as soon as they came in.

Half an hour into the party though someone that didn't like it decided they couldn't stand it any longer. The male Scarbia student walked right to Y/n as they talked to someone and purposely threw a drink all over Y/n's dress. "Oops, look like you have to change. Make sure you remember to put on pants this time, dude.", says the male Scarbia student.

Y/n felt like crying. Then a hand landed on their shoulder. It was Kalim with a long haired brunette man who looked pissed. "Jamil, can you remove the stain on their dress while deal with him? They look so lovely in it that it would be a shame for them not wear it.", says Kalim.

"Of course, Prince Kalim. It will be easy.", the brunette says. Jamil takes Y/n hand and leads them away. "You don't want to see this. Kalim is nice and happy mostly. It takes a lot to piss him off but when he does it is terrifying.", says Jamil.

Jamil takes Y/n to a laundry room and starts to remove the stain. In 5 minutes it is gone. There is no trace of it. Their about to go back to the party but Y/n is unsure if they should go. Jamil's expression softens.

"Trust me, okay. Kalim will take care of it. He may seem childish and extravagant but he wants to be your friend and he takes care of his friends. He won't let this just go.", says the brunette.

When they got back the male Scarbia student was on his knees and he apologized to Y/n and then left. No one else bothered Y/n for the rest of the night. Y/n spent the rest of night dancing and eating with Kalim, Jamil, and Grim. By the end of it they knew they wanted both Kalim and Jamil as more then friends.

Jamil & Azul: Y/n and Grim needed jobs desperately. The money Crowley gave them not sufficient to support one of them let alone both them and Grim. They were pointed in the direct of the Mostro Lounge when they talked to Ace Deuce about it. The duo had heard they needed more wait staff.

So Y/n went their and was told to go back Azul's office by a blue haired guy called Floyd. When they knocked on the door it opened to the sight of two people kissing. One was a long haired brunette and one was a purple haired guy.

"Oh, my gosh. I'm so sorry. Floyd told us to come back here.", exclaimed Y/n. The brunette and purple haired person jumped apart from each other. They looked Y/n and Grim unhappily

"Tell no one.", says the brunette threateningly. "I'm going to have to have a talk with Floyd. He knew not to send anyone back here right now while I'm with my boyfriend.", says the purplette while straightening their glasses.

The brunette rolls his eyes and scoffs. "Since when does Floyd listen to anyone but himself.", says the brunette. The purple haired person ignores the brunette. "I'm Azul Ashengrotto. How can I help you?", says the purplette.

"I'm Y/n and this is grim. We heard that you might be looking for wait staff.", says Y/n. "Oh, yes. I am. Sit down I've heard of you from Crowley. Your the magicless non-binary student from a different world. I was wondering when you would stop by. I new Crowley was giving you very little. Y/n starts crying. "People having giving us food and clothes because they feel bad. Ramshackle is literally falling apart.", says Grim. Jamil and Azul look at each other. "You can both start today. Tips are every day but you'll get a paycheck too each week.", says Azul.

Jack & Epel: "I'm not a girl!", Y/n heard someone else scream. Usually when things like that were being screamed they were the one screaming it. It was unfortunately the reality of being a non-binary fem bodied person in an all boys boarding school.

This person sounded even angrier about then Y/n usually got though. It piqued their curiosity. So they went towards the screaming. They saw a small purple haired guy being harassed by several larger guys when they got there.

The purple haired guy was pretty but obviously a guy at the same time and looked on the verge of breaking someones nose. Behind him was the only person there not heckling him, a white haired and tanned savanaclaw student with wolf ears and tail. He too looked upset by what the others were saying.

"My boyfriend is a guy not a girl. He has a penis. He was born with a penis and he identifies as a male. So he is a male.", says the wolf eared guy.

"Stop trying to fool us. We know a girl when we see one. We just wanna...", starts one of the males heckling the purple haired guy. "Shut the fuck up.", yellthe purplette.

The hecklers did not stop and kept making passes at the guy calling him a girl. Y/n was getting angry at them themself. "Shut up. No one here is a girl. Not even me and I have a uterus. Now fuck off.", they yell when one tries to grab the purple haired guy.

Everyone turns to look at Y/n who then throws a rock at the bullies startling them. Purple haired guy and wolf guy smirk and start throwing rocks too. The bullies run off.

Wolf guy and purple haired guy walk over to Y/n, smiling. "You must be the non-binary magicless student everyone talks about. Your quite popular. I'm Jack Howl and this is my boyfriend, Epel Felmier.", says the wolf guy. Y/n smiles happily at them. The three chat for a bit before parting ways.

-I have the headcanon for certain Scouts that they are transgender FTM. In this case, Red Scout is, but Blu Scout isn’t (I don’t know, it just feels like that). However, Red Scout doesn’t tell many people since he knows he passes and doesn’t want to ruin that. 

-That being said, he will not care at all. Ok, you wanna start dressing less effeminate? Let’s go to the store! In fact, you can have some my old clothes! Not much would change. Unless you had to tell the other mercs, which would seem like a problem, but they could honestly care less. They all do their own things. He wants you to be apart of Pootis’s life, so he teaches Pootis your identity. Pootis just looks at Scout a little confused, then looks at you behind him on his bed and squeaks a smile. 

-Speaking of, if you feel like you don’t pass as a masculine person (Not specifically as a male), he would help with that. Hes been through all of it before; the bad days, the fear. He’s totally the type of guy who would do something stupidly cheesy like buy two binders, one for you and one for him, so you don’t get uncomfortable wearing them. Medic already gave him a double mastectomy, he doesn’t need one anymore. But he really does care about you :(

-Ok, so, I want to be clear, he would not understand very well. But, he is not against it. He has two dads, why would he be? You will have to educate him. After that? It’s just fine! You’ll be the first non female person he has been with. It takes some getting used to. Blootis too, though, he likes having you around, he’s more independent than Pootis. But he knows what he likes, and that’s you. No matter how you are. 

-He is much less attentive than Red Scout, but that means you have to communicate more. If that’s not something you do, he will eventually catch on, however it would take a long time. He would see how you weren’t in a good mood whenever he spoke to you and then asks you what’s wrong.

-You are now Blootis’s second dad. That’s it, that’s the headcanon. 

-To get his mind off things, he likes to work out. Even though, he does it for an unhealthy amount of time. However, he will offer to take you whenever you feel icky about yourself some days. He is somewhat inclined to stereotypes hobbies as gendered. However, he really offers because he wants you to feel better about yourself. And he thinks maybe building your body would help. 

-He will unintentionally get really close to you when spotting you. Or he comes up behind you and hold up the weight you’re really struggling with and lift it without much effort to correct your form, then you get the gist of how you’re supposed to do it properly. 

-If you’re having a rough night around the other guys and feel like you can’t hang out with Soldier or Demoman without feeling like you aren’t “one of the guys”, go and find Scout outside smoking in the snow. He asks what’s wrong and you tell him. He takes you to the boiler room (Romantic, I know, but there is no where else that’s private) and lays you down near the heater. His way of comforting is very soothing. Running circles on your chest, whether you choose to get a double mastectomy or not and only if you’re comfortable with it; holding you to himself, pressing kisses to your temple.

If we briefly describe them character, it is a very sarcastic, often caustic and vulgar merry fellow, but objects of them interest can make Keepler softer and more friendly (for example, Jessio)

Planet Zed (the planet that resembles the letter "Z") is a reference to character-planet Z from "Alphabet lore" & "Number lore"

Name Keepler is based on the real planet Keepler, and them last name is based on my fictional planet Zed.

Whatever form it may be in, it can peacefully exist in space and other habitats. Their slightly liquid-jelly body technically, but not practically, retains its properties in another non-alien form.

Commenced my 5th (??) Utena rewatch, so here’s some comments of episode 1 with vague spoilers:

*My blue ray disc seems to be damaged :( the episode froze at certain scenes, I hope it’s only dirty or something.

*First few minutes of ep 1 is gender, gender, gender. “The little girl wanted to be a prince” “I’m waiting for my boyfriend” “She left”, “Why are you wearing a boys uniform?”. Utena beats all the guys and has fangirls, yet she refuses to join the basketball team with the dudes, however she wants to be a prince… She keeps breaking with everyone’s expectations of her. (Personally I think that Utena is either a gnc woman, non-binary or even genderfluid, but everyone can have whatever headcanon they want).

*I have always wondered how long has Utena been at Ohtori. The teacher says that Utena will ridicule her again this term, but most of the time she acts like a newcomer. There are many things about the students that she seems to ignore. I think that she transferred just at the middle or the end of the previous term, so she has been there for enough time to be popular among peers her age, but not enough for her to know everything.

*Touga is so popular that even Utena knows him. That says a lot about Touga.

*I like how the animators use black silhouettes to economize. It’s a cool trick and it contributes to the show’s general aesthetic.

*I’m not in the mood of being cynical right now so I’m just going to say that I love how Utena jumps in to help whoever she thinks is in trouble. Of course that’s also one of her flaws and it becomes a problem because she doesn’t think before acting, but her intentions are sincere, and that’s what makes her different from everyone else.

*In the same vein, it probably doesn’t matter whether Anthy was the one who put Wakaba’s letter on the wall or not. She may have done some manipulation, but the thing is that Saionji was such a huge asshole already that sooner or later Utena would’ve had a bone to pick with him. He was the one who threw the letter away in the first place and it was his choice to hit Anthy when she wished Utena luck. There was very little manipulation to be done here. He caused his own downfall.

*It’s always hard to read the lyrics of the duel songs and the dialogue at the same time, but there’s some juxtapositions that I liked, namely how the lyrics equated Utena and Saionji as actors on a stage. There’s a lot to say about that, but that’s something I’ll have to dig more into some other day.

THE MORNING AFTER: ONLY FRIENDS, EPISODE 11 -- 1 OUTTA 3 AIN'T BAD

Preamble! I had a HELL of a day yesterday, woof. So if this comes out garbled, y'all will know why. I'll try to keep this short, but... I'm likely lying to myself, let's see.

TW: FORCEBOOK -- I'm going to say a few words about ForceBook below, so if words about ForceBook are not your thing, please move along!

I'm gonna start this post with thoughts on the three main pairs, and then get some last little thoughts out at the end.

a) I have a feeling that I don't need to write THAT much, because the lovelies @lurkingshan (here), @neuroticbookworm (here), and @chicademartinica (here) all covered the top points of this episode nicely: this episode was a BostonNick WIN. On Nick, dear Chica nailed it so hard that I will have to link AND screenshot her m'fucker:

(Nick says the first line below, with Boston saying the second:)

Fuckin' a. There are two reasons why I STANNED BostonNick in this episode.

1) First of all, as you see above, Nick still had to be a tiny bit of a shit. Nick was in Atom's shoes once. Nick remembers the feeling of having feelings for someone who didn't have feelings back for him. So Nick took a little passive aggressive dig at Boston by calling Boston's sex and predilections "terrible."

And Boston shot back at Atom -- and maybe indirectly at Nick -- with his perspective on sex: "[h]ow can you love me after sleeping together just once?"

I've written before (and forgive the foggy mom brain, but I believe @emotionallychargedtowel has also written on this), that the hormonal experience of sex can impact people in incredibly different ways. Some people, like Boston, feel no connection with the person he's slept with after sex; other people, like Nick and Atom, catch feelings. All of it is normal.

What happened in the dialogues that we were privy to earlier in the series vis à vis Nick and Atom was that WE, the audience, heard THEIR perspectives, and the narratives allowed US to contemplate sympathizing for them -- by playing off of a general assumption that an audience would JUDGE people like Boston for having casual sex. Boston's positions on sex (heh) pissed off people like Nick and Atom! So Boston got fuckin' wiretapped and smeared by these dudes.

However: BOSTON REMAINED CONSISTENT, CONSTANT, AND ACCOUNTABLE to his position, AT ALL TIMES, that he wasn't someone who caught feelings after casual sex. I am sure for many sectors of the Only Friends audience, that this may not have been easy to parse, especially considering the very early and popular judgements levied against Boston. (For the record, I never took Boston as a predator, and I established my thoughts early in the series run on this as rhetoric about Boston's "badness" around sex was flying around. I'm a Khai girlie. Boys, girls, and non-binary friends can be playas, too, and deserve to enjoy their sex lives without judgement.)

What I UTTERLY admire about the pace of this series vis à vis BostonNick is that it took its TIME in establishing Boston's AGENCY to be able to LEVY his position on sex SO STRONGLY and CLEARLY, with Nick's support. While much of the series allowed the popular and condemning rhetoric to swirl around Boston, this scene put a fuckin' NAIL in that coffin. I believe this scene said: you can't only listen to one side, the crying, sobbing side of a person who wants another person after a one-night stand. You HAVE to listen to both sides. The hormonal aspect of wanting to be close to your sex partner is valid, but also -- if the other side is talking, you MUST listen to what the other side is SAYING.

Boston was always clear about his position -- and Nick and Atom HAD to take responsibility for their unreasonable demands from Boston after their one-night stands with him; unreasonable, because Boston CLEARLY stated to the both of them that he wasn't a relationship guy, and would not be forced into it. And both of them ignored those statements, and all hell broke loose, TWICE.

2) HOWEVER! Boston realized, after spending more time with Nick than with any other sex partner, and after he lost his friends, that he HAD caught feelings for his fave, his Nick! Remember last week, when I got all mewdy that MONOGAMY might be the dramatic device that the show would use to "redeem" Boston? BLECH.

DAMN, did this episode SPIN THAT AROUND for me. GOD, I LOOOOOOOOOOVED THAT CONVO WITH NICK AND BOSTON ABOUT FIGURING OUT THEIR STATUS!!!!!

Paraphrasing! "I want to spend the next few months loving on you," or whatever Boston says?! FUCK, YES! Nick, all OVER this, setting boundaries, allowing himself TIME and SPACE to figure out what's best for him, with both Dan and Boston! SHIT, MARK PAKIN SHOWED UP! Omg, BostonNick for the win.

My head's spinning, because that was seriously one of the BEST conversations I've seen written in a drama about the consideration of a relationship and a status check. That impressed me as much as Pharm asking Dean for a break in UWMA -- and then Pharm straight up LIVING HIS LIFE, BBQ pork grills and all, without Dean for a few months.

And. Boston was cool with Nick's boundaries and thoughtfulness. Boston knows what he wants, but he's not gonna push Nick into anything. Boston knows time is ticking, but will wait for Nick's answer.

It was so cool to see. My heart was full.

So that pairing, the NeoMark/BostonNick pairing -- SOLID.

b) Moving on! Thanks to @lurkingshan, I got clarity on what the fuq was happening with Sand and Boeing. At first, I thought Boeing was a little SHIT for showing up to Sand and stirring unnecessary drama in his ex's life after getting rejected by Mew. (Mond, though. 🤤)

But, as Shan pointed out to me in my insane day yesterday: Sand has a problem saying no to dudes. (Homey, RELATE.) So like, then they all go back to Ray's place, and Ray KNOWS that Sand has trouble setting boundaries and saying no, because that's what Sand's mom said to Ray, but also, that's the way Sand's been engaging with Ray himself, and Ray will DEF know what will be up if Sand gets closer to Boeing again, and Ray's like, uh, come into my pool so we can nip this in the bud?, but no, we know what Jojo's thinking, so.

I mean, have sex already, you three, chop chop. I see the FirstKhao gworls on my dash not happy about not having a complete episode of SandRay peace, which I get, but also, this continues to reiterate my bleh on Sand, which like -- get a backbone, Sand. You have a literal boyfriend now, and you're still not saying no to dudes? What if Mild strolled in for a foursome? (NO, DON'T TURN THAT DOWN, SAND, DON'T.) But I'm just saying -- maybe listen to a person in your life, like your mom, to set some boundaries, like your roommate. I'm throwing my hands up in the air on this one, but at least we may get our threesome, and, Mond.

c) Okay, last pair! TopMew. For a hot second, I was impressed with Top.

I liked this, ::waves index finger in a circle::, this worked.

But I have decided. I'm done with ForceBook. I just -- please remember the TW, FB girls. I'll get back to TopMew in a second as characters, but this was my first ForceBook show, and it might be my last. Watching them is as exciting to me as breaking down Amazon boxes.

And there was more Mew waffling, more talking to moms, and Top is just like, I'm gonna peace out, DEUCES, and then, OF COURSE, HE COMES BACK INTO THE KITCHEN, LIKE HE NEVER LEFT THE HOUSE AFTER SAYING HE WOULD (I cackled), and then they're together in bed. And now they'll move in together.

This was a BIT of a storyline ride. But -- and I HAVE TO ADMIT, part of this is my tiredness talking -- I'm just kinda bored of ForceBook at this point. Do I actually get the sense that Top is *excited* about Mew moving in? Do I get the sense that Top and Mew *love* each other? I.... don't! Is it the chemistry between ForceBook? I.... I think so? I think so!

And, so... Mew will try to convince Ray to accept Top in the next episode? I dunno. (Episode 12 previews, we've learned to distrust them.) As much as I want to try to sit here to analyze TopMew at this point, I kinda just wanna throw my hands up in the air and be like, I'll leave these characters to fiction. And I think it's because I was unfortunately spoiled by the FANTASTIC chemistry emanating out of Neo, Papang, Mark, First, and Mond in this episode (MARK! MONNND. PAPANGGGG.).

I have to admit it, and I'm sorry to admit it. ForceBook do nothing for me, acting-wise and chemistry-wise, and I am done struggling with analyzing TopMew. I'll let 'em be.

d) Last thoughts! Bye, Cheum. We haven't had enough of Nonnie in this series, and I wanna see Nonnie as April dump Cheum's ass and break shit in episode 12, the way Nonnie's real-life brother goes and breaks shit on social media. Way to hold no one, including yourself, truthfully accountable, Cheum.

Some fics flex alot of personality through description like it’s a 2nd set of dialogue. Wells kills at this. I just utterly fell in love with how Murderbot’s awkwardness is betrayed mixing with wanting to retain its privacy.

The different systems of SecSystem, Medical and the HubSystem that control different parts of the habitat is so cool. From how the survey team got the bargain pack of cheaper assortment of equiptment to how Murderbot’s backstory weaves in TvT poor guy. It may be half assing it but the kid’s got heart, I’ll tell you that.

Also, man, I am so glad to have a narrator who isn’t she or he. So tired of hearing the same pronouns over and over. It’s like “dude, vanilla and chocolate are tasty flavors but that ain’t all there is.”

Not the same as an enby it/its since Murderbot didn’t chose basically anything about itself down to its name but you can at least pretend. Hard to genuinely believe an author actually wants a character to be non-binary unless they at least switch up the pronouns SOMEWHERE.

Still. All Systems Red is in 1st person but luckily Murderbot listens in on other people’s conversations so you get more pronouns than usual.

Anyway, descriptive text isn’t what I’m used to but it gets the job done. Dialogue and narration is more of a focus and so bloody rich. *mwah!*

Volescu, Pin-Lee, Bharadwaj and Arada don’t get a ton of text-time but Mensah, Ratthi and Gurathin do.

While I do love me a Mensah being all supportive and trying to help Murderbot work with humans. Gurathin is where its at. Quiet dude but abbrasive af to Murderbot, asking all sort of prying questions and never trusting it.

Even after Murderbot saved their asses, doubt Gurathin (despite being augmented) would’ve helped Murderbot from its contract.

Top that off with how Mensah contrasts at the end of it, TvT so good. She’s so sweet but in that childification way toward Murderbot at the end.

Like “oh yeah, you won’t get shot at but we arranged this whole life for you and we’ll get you educated like your a baby and not a fully-sentient adult.” Its so cool Wells played it all out, then was like NOPE.

Ratthi has a little bit with insisting on talking out feelings. But I get from Ratthi that he isn’t doing this out of “you’re a kid, let me help out” and more “i want you to be included! You’re part of the team.”

Still glad that Wells let Ratthi be busy and let Mensah take the forefront for the “future” if Murderbot let humans decide it for it. I also liked how it considered going along with it.

-demiromantic heterosexual. very monogamous, politely shuts down all fan attempts to flirt with him. he gushes about pixal every chance he gets in interviews.

-non-binary with heavy masc presentation. realized they weren’t as cishet as they thought they were when he started dating nya. they felt like masculinity was an act they had to put up out of insecurity. over time he got more comfortable with masculinity(with nya’s help). he likes flamboyant clothing and gets a lot of fashion inspiration from vintage magazines.

-bisexual. with the support of nya(before and after their s3 breakup) he started experimenting romantically and sexually. when he started getting semi-famous for tv stuff, they definitely used it to his advantage to get hookups and paid it off with hush money. it fueled their ego in a very hollow way.

-preference for he/him but it’s not that important to him

-is also very nonchalant about his gender, but his fashion style is function over literally everything else. his bright yellow skirt has deeper pockets than his cargo pants? he’ll wear it.

-questioning. considered himself hetero comfortably for a very long time, then after meeting skylor started to think about experimentation. he’s a flirt for the show of it, but actual romance and intimacy makes him VERY shy. dude is hella suppressed.

-she/he

-always considered herself a very masc tomboy, she looked up to kai a lot during their childhood and sorta subconsciously modeled himself presentation-wise after her older brother. sooner or later he identified as trans-masc and started using t-gel around s7. she’s also very function-oriented in her clothing but the aesthetics are a little higher on the list compared to his brother.

-also considered herself heterosexual for a very long time, but it wasn’t until after zane’s death in s3 that she really questioned his own sexuality. she did car odd-jobs around ninjago city for money and met all varieties of people doing it. eventually settled on pansexual with a preference for masc people.

cole

-he/him

-trans man. loves his masculinity and being a teddy bear. started crying when he grew in a patchy beard because it was so euphoric. started doing testosterone in secret pre-s1 and got bottom surgery during s7. there was a lot of cake when he got home from the hospital.

-knew from a very young age that he was not straight. wanting to rebel, he started sneaking out with the boys/girls from his dance classes during recital rehearsals. after zane’s death in s3 when he moved to the forest, he started to realize how gay he was being around all the shirtless men.

-intersex, didn’t really give his gender much thought until after s5 when she began feeling SEVERE impostor syndrome and dysphoria after morro’s possession. began a process of “reclaiming” her body by binding her chest for a while(with cole’s help), which then lead to t-shots and top surgery. now identifies as non-binary with a masc lean.

-bisexual with a heavy preference for women. she definitely wrote a few fritz donnegan x reader in their Darkely’s note books. Had a few crushes on some of their fellow students, but never really pursued them for fear of being not evil enough. becoming the green ninja and getting super famous overnight means he got a LOT of fans asking him on dates. after the first 8 failed dates, they stopped being interested in romance until harumi.

-demiromantic pansexual. like his partner, very monogamous and is not interested in anybody else. she experiences aesthetic attraction often and loves fashion as gender expression. gives compliments on outfits as often as he can.

-genderfluid. designed herself a bunch of different outfits while in zane’s mind when she had the time. he wanted to try masculine clothes for a very long time, but was worried zane wouldn’t be attracted/supportive. being samurai x was her avenue to discovering gender fluidity, and after revealing himself as samurai x, came out to zane in private. he supported them full-heartedly and lent her some of his clothes.
