it's near 3am, i just finished sense8, and it's shows like this that make me want to be in film. seeing how much love people put into this show, how much both the cast and crew are shown to have loved working on it, how much the fans loved it, how much the message meant to people... it's just so amazing how watching something can make you feel so much emotion. sense8 is like Lost for me, i will never find anything like it again---it's once-in-a-lifetime---and i'm so glad i have it, in whatever way i can.

someone said a thing isn't beautiful because it lasts... and... yeah. would have loved for this show to go on for several more seasons, but i'm glad it's here nonetheless. love you and all your flaws, sense8 <3

i'm curious to know how many ocs you have!

Hiya! My starheart and I currently have 132! Most are in development at the moment, but they exist. They're all from our main project that is meant to have infinite characters in diverse concepts and backstories, it's so much fun and epic. :> But this year, I'm hoping for us to make more canon media based OCs since we never got to do that, just only giving our original story characters their AUs. Same with self-insert OCs!

Or even if you're as angry as a lot of us that the streamers only count the viewer numbers of the first 30 days of any show, then PLEASE SIGN. I think Dead Boy Detectives has become this for so many people.

Or was No.1 in the UK for two days, and it's now at No.3. There is hope, for once, I like to think. The cast and crew are supporting us with the hashtags (a massive thing!), but every signature makes a difference.

Twin Peaks: Probably one of my top comfort shows. For me is the perfect blend of horror, heartbreak and almost... whimsical? Idk I just love it and all the characters.

Hannibal: Everything about this show is just *chefs kiss*

Sense8: This show was probably one of the first with LGBTQIA+ content that I saw growing up, and was huge for helping me realize and discover my own identity. It's also very enjoyable to watch, and it's the only piece of media I can think of where I actually Liked the sex scenes.

The Untamed & the Mo Dao Zu Shi donghua: The plot of a feared necromancer coming back to investigate his own murder with the guy who was his sometimes frenemy, and they're in love? It's great. Plus it helped get me back into trying to learn Mandarin.

Battlestar Galactica 2004: Season 1 butch Kara Thrace my beloved. Caprica 6 and the Sharons ❤️. Gaius Baltar is Thee Poor Little Meow Meow

Castlevania: Disregarding Season 3, I just really enjoy this show.

X-Files: The Field Where I Died rewired something in my brain as a kid.

Forged in Fire: For an reality show, most everyone is fairly chill and there's very little manufactured personal drama. Plus I get to watch swords and weapons being made!

They’re really not that much, tbh, but thank you bc I love rambling a bit about them

1. There��s a stranger at your parents’ funeral

Basically a side project of my “main” thiam sense8 au, where Liam and Theo are part of a cluster, together with Scott, Stiles, Malia, Erica, Hayden and Lydia (my beloved cluster of the 23rd December). Basically the whole cluster learns how to live with seven people in their head constantly, while Liam slowly falls in love with this sad asshole. The side project specifically explores more Theo’s backstory, which is… pretty dark. I could go on but I’ll stop here ahah

2. Forgetting and growing up the same

Just a small angsty one-shot from stiles pov about realizing that under all of the trauma and the cynicism and the controlled mannerisms there’s still his former best friend

(Or: Theo forgot when his birthday is. Stiles didn’t)

3. The Holiday (thiam/Stalia)

Pretty self-explanatory if you know the movie. Basically famous American videomaker Theo Raeken does a house swap with english book editor Stiles Stilinski, both needing a break from their disastrous love life. What they don’t expect is to find love waiting for them on the other side of the planet

I don’t think you really care about the two Byler, but we’ll, they’re both mike-centric, dealing with mental health issues and very much abandoned

Agree with both answers above: the comments section is where I made most of my fandom friends (either by me happy-screeching over their work, or them over mine)! I love getting to interact with like-minded souls who took the time to check out my work and share their thoughts <3

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

I'm a happy (or at least hopeful) ending kind of writer, so if I don't count the works I left unfinished where I didn't get to write the nice resolution, I would say my first fic, Veracity. The canon characters had their happy endings and there's no major character death, but I had a minor character death where I murdered one of my OCs so brutally that the emotional damage led to a little sequel of that fic where their friends (fellow OCs I made) are still struggling with the emotional aftermath two years later :3

What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?

It's hard to say because all my fics have positive endings, but in terms of "how big was the big win", I would say the two fics that I wrote for The Magicians fandom events: Come See About Me and When the World's Unkind.

I chose these because the main squad defeated villains who were stealing literally god-tier powers, so the ending where the bad guys went ka-boom was extra satisfying, and unlike Veracity, no beloved OCs were killed during the production of these works!

Do you write crossovers?

I tried to write a Sense8 x Harry Potter crossover, Queen of Chalices, and failed spectacularly because I went in with no plan and I realized that I would stop caring about a story if I didn't know where it was going. Like, for me, the end goal keeps me hyped! This fic taught me a lot about how I work best as a writer, though, so I'm glad I had that experience!

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

No hate *knock on wood*, but the closest side eye-worthy comment I've had was when a reader started asking me about my worldbuilding setup (both universes had superpowers/magic), then after I explained what I had in mind, they proceeded to tell me how it would make more sense if I did Y instead of X (with X being my original plan). They were like, a fic-splainer instead of mansplainer.

I am sad to announce that I'd already intended to abandon that fic by the time I got this comment, so this reader never got their just dessert of seeing me *checks notes* write fic custom-made for their ideas so they didn't have to do the work?... Hmm. How very awful.

Oh, and guess what fic it happened on? Queen of Chalices. My spectacularly-kudos'ed unfinished work. That fic is going to haunt me for life, and I applaud its tenacity (ᗒᗜᗕ)

Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

As of now, I haven't attempted to. My M-rated fics are rated for violence (muhahaha) and/or general maturity if the source material was already rated for adults. But I am intrigued by smut and hope to dabble in it someday!

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I know of.

Have you ever had a fic translated?

In 2018, someone asked if they could translate Veracity in Spanish, and I was so honored that I rode that high all the way into 2019. I said yes, and I believe they translated one or two chapters and linked it to my work on aO3 as a translation...

BUT, they deleted that translation sometime later (I assume) because I can no longer find traces of it. I'm flattered that they made an attempt, though! I hope they're doing great AO3-writer-ly things out there today. Now the only proof I have is the comment they left on my fic asking to translate this. I should frame that comment! Put it on my wall!

(Maybe they got upset at how brutally I murdered a beloved OC, so they removed their association with me and swore vengeance on me. If you never hear from me again, it probably means they finally found me and vanquished me. Nice knowing you.)

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Nope. A friend from the Sense8 fandom (who's no longer active on tumblr) and I considered co-writing a fic back in the day, but life got in the way and we've moved on to other fandoms since then.

What’s your all-time favorite ship?

Ha, I can't even pick a favorite character, let alone a favorite ship! But I will say that I can get behind most ships if a fic or canon itself sets them up well enough, let's just say :D

What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

I don't have any desire to finish the fics that I left unresolved (she says without remorse), but I do have a series called Flirtations at the Rolling Scones Café where I planned to write 4 short multichapters (all featuring different ships). I completed two but haven't started polishing the other two at all. I hope I'll get around to writing and post the other two someday, because I do have first drafts for them sitting in my computer, so I should be able to pick them up, even if I've stopped writing for that fandom!

What are your writing strengths?

I have the opposite problem as @f-oighear! I've been told my action sequences are good, and my readers like the way I can "place them in the moment" with how vivid my descriptions tend to be.

What are your writing weaknesses?

Once again, @f-oighear we seem to be complementary here. I struggle so much with dialogue! I have things I want to reveal in certain scenes through a conversation, but when it comes to the draft, I'll fumble my way through it with questions and revelations that come out of nowhere (so the dialogue doesn't even flow in a logically linear way), and the lines I write will sound like someone put it through ChatGPT backward while they were hungover.

I do try to sort that out in a second draft so it's not as obvious in my final draft, though. Or a third draft. Or a fourth... while my descriptions were polished a long time ago and are waiting oh so impatiently for me to sort out the rest of my mess XD

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I'm open to it, but I haven't found a need for it so far except for the occasional word (like if someone whose native language isn't English, and they stub their toe, I'll let them say FUCK in whatever language their heart desires, haha). I generally try to leave dialogue in English. I've also had fics where I included a character who uses ASL, so in those cases, I specified that they're signing, but I still wrote down their meaning in English (though I'll use a POV character who understands ASL when I'm writing that scene). So basically, I work around it by letting a character do the interpreting for me and the readers.

What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to?

I have a WIP in mind for a Black Clover fic featuring Kahono x Noelle, Nozel x Vanessa, and Zora x Nebra! I love Astelle too, but in this particular setup, Kahonoelle will bring about maximum emotional damage, followed by maximum emotional healing. And this is what I mean by "I'm open to nearly any ship if they can be set up to work". I will make it work. And it will hurt.

What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

Asking me to pick my favorite child? HOW COULD I EVER! (She says, as she proceeds to do just that.)

I'll go with my latest WIP, Scarlet Cross (Black Clover Gender Change + Canon Divergence AU!). I love butterfly effects that accidentally change canon into a new plot, and I've always wanted to write a shonen-like series (fantasy adventure romance all the fun stuff) with a female protagonist, so I took matters into my own hands.

Of course. It might take me forever (my inbox is staring at me dead in the eyes), but I will respond. It means the world to me and if anyone makes the effort, they deserve a response. Easy.

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

I need happy endings with my angst so... yeah. I think... Yesterday I died (tomorrow's bleeding) is quite sad.

What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?

I guess the SAU has the happiest ending. Everything And More's last chapter is literally sunshine and calmness which, yk, is needed after the whole thing.

Do you write crossovers?

I've just gotten into it! I didn't see the hype before but um that was because I never tried to mash together the right verses I think. The Arkham Horror x Black Clover crossover is very dear to me.

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

*touching wood* Nope.

Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I've written steamy but never full smut. Well, I've written bits. But they're unpublished and I don't think I ever will publish them soooo yeah.

Yes! Someone translated Her Most Precious Memories in Russian (Её самые драгоценные воспоминания).

Just like crossovers, I'm just getting into it. And just like crossovers, I'm absolutely loving it.

All time favorite... royai probably.

What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

fhjfhds all of them. If I start a wip it's that I want to see it finished (because I want to read it). Sadly, I often don't have the motivation to. The wip list is ever growing.

What are your writing strengths?

Dialogue and internal monologues, I think.

What are your writing weaknesses?

Besides everything syntax and grammar-related because what even is English, I'd say description, especially of action scenes. It takes me forever to even dare put down a few words and I always feel like I'm describing like a 7yo would (no shade to 7yo but surely with 20 more years on this planet I should be able to do better).

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I did it in Formula for a Crush for Vanessa and Helena because Helena typically does it so it felt normal to As long as it's one word or one expression I don't really mind. (my Italian is non-existent and my Spanish is uhhh not good so, there's that.).

In my own work, I prefer to keep it in English and italicize. Less risk to completely fumble a whole language.

(I just realized that Zora doesn't even utter one word in French in FFAC and I'm French [I dare think I can speak and write the language relatively well]. so it's less down to messing up a language than personal preferences in writing ig..? I never really thought about it.)

What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to?

Nothing comes to mind. Rarepair Week was a great occasion to tick some of these boxes too.

What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

I've had this question ten thousand times and I think I reply differently every time dhjfdjskj. It's a tough one.

Right now I'm having a lot of fun with Formula for a Crush (nah, you can't tell with how much I'm talking about it).

what even is football anyway will always be very dear to me and I'll probably say it's this one.

Blue Hours (and its sequel, I might even like the sequel more simply for the rant about the dishes) is special because I loved the concept and I experienced a bit with the narration.

Thicker Than Blood because it's a longer one and it was a really non-pressure kind of fic (I expected no one to read it so I really had fun)

Yesterday I died (tomorrow's bleeding) and posing questions to a silent universe (my very thoughts a curse) for some nice Mia angst.

Lost in a storm, It’s a big office, chief, for some nice Phoenix angst.

Tell Me About Cruelty means a lot to me.

what is the best lesbian book/TV show in your opinion

hi! no idea how I got this ask since I'm but a simple bisexual spn blogger (which means I have bad taste by default) but always happy to give recs! don't know if there's any I can say is the "best" since they all have different merits and appeal.

TV SHOWS

haunting of bly manor (horror drama with a lesbian ghost love story, bittersweet ending but soooo good)

vida (dramedy with a nice mix of queer, lesbian a,nd actually butch characters...also emma hernandez is my ultimate "my wife is a bitch and I like her SO much" anyways I wish more people talked about this show)

she-ra and the princess of power (animated kids show, sapphic childhood best friends to enemies to lovers my beloved)

killing eve (crime thriller, insane enemies-AND-lovers dynamic, very sad this is ending...this is my hannibal)

sense8 (sci-fi-y action thriller show with a big cast of many queer characters and okay this is just an excuse to recommend this show but LISTEN nomi and amanita are the HEART of it and I adore them...bonus points for being the first trans lesbian couple on TV too <3)

one day at a time (family sitcom with a very charlie bradbury-esque nerdy lesbian that I adore and wish I had growing up)

wynonna earp (spn but they're sisters and also funnier and the sam-esque sister is hella gay)

and obligatory "the l word: generation q" shout-out if you just want some soap opera level lesbian drama (specifically generation q...I cannot ethically recommend the original but luckily you don't need to watch it to enjoy the reboot!)

The M.C.U and Disney +

Probably not everyone know this(or probably don’t care) but we had a group of very good Marvel shows with very interesting plots and characters that were supposed to be part of the MCU but the movies never gave them the recognition to the characters and what they were doing in it.

We had Marvel Agents of Shield, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, The Punisher, Cloak and Dagger, Marvel Runaways, Dare Devil, Agent Carter.

We were supposed to have a Ghost Rider show that the character was introduced on Agents of Shield and Marvel most Wanted that were also introduced on the same show(Agents of Shield).

And for a lot of time; most of these shows tried to include the stories of the movies so it could show the repercussions outside of the areas the movies were.

However, Marvel and Disney completely ignore them. And it really feels weird how they practically concluded that none of those shows were important or they didn’t care about them(check interviews from Agents of Shield talking about it) but when DIsney+ was created they decide to cancel most of the other shows and create shows in the new platform expressing how important the shows from Disney+ are gonna be for the new phase of the MCU and that is almost obligatory to watch those shows to understand what is about to happen.

I personally consider that is a shady thing to do; and more when most of the shows outside Disney+ where still on production and with open plotlines to explore when they abruptly were canceled.

And that kind of thing really makes me a little angry, but I expected that somehow phase 4 fixed most of those things; and this is how I would love to show a few things about it:

1. Thanks to WandaVision we know that S.W.O.R.D exists on the MCU. That Agency is supposed to be on space. Right know, Daisy Johnson is in Space. I would love to have her connect to SWORD and any of the projects that are over there( for Far from Home we see Fury on space).

2. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier can very easy introduce again Bobbi Morse. Her character would be perfect for that show.

3. Jessia Jones and Carol Danvers has one of the best friendship on Marvel; and Carol group of Jessica’s is very good. She could joined Carol in any way. If we have Jessica Luke needs to come too.

4. Iron Fist could be connect it to Shang-Chi.

5. Ghost Rider can easily connect to anything magic, so whatever comes after Dr. Strange would be perfect.

Those are my options but there are so many characters and options it could be perfect any other way.

Those anyone else have another idea?

The ultimate ship would be always nomanita.

Everyone says they would love to have someone like Amanita; but to be honest I wish to love someone as much as Amanita loves Nomi.

That was something completely different, and that relationship is one of the best I ever saw on any kind of media.

Something very important about the date is how clearly and so respectfully it was a private moment for Beau/Yasha (Marisha/Ashley) but also everyone was involve as well.

Even if we were able to see the reaction of all the party they were extremely respectful in their personal moments. 

I love that.

Also, I love how almost everyone gets involve but also let them be. Veth helped, Caleb helped, Caduceus said finally; Jester said good luck. Fjord was like the himbo he is.

I love the entire moment.

hello friends! figured as long as i am procrastinating writing i may as well answer these questions. i was tagged by the wonderful @thrillingdetectivetales​! thank u beloved :-)

1. how many works do you have on ao3?

40! it used to be more but i broke my ‘no deleting works’ rule to get rid of a few that i honestly believe were doing more harm than good being up.

2. what’s your total ao3 word count?

317,486. kinda wild! i remember hitting 100,000 and being like, holy shit. that’s a lot of words.

3. what are your top 5 fics by kudos?

1. peaches & plums, the magicians, 833 kudos

2. Come With Me, hamilton, 514 kudos

3. some are born to endless night, star wars, 329 kudos

4. if it is not alright now, then now is not the end, hamilton, 307 kudos

5. promises are meant to be kept, hamilton, 228 words

i’m gonna go ahead and disclaim that list with the simple facts that a, hamilton is my oldest fandom so those fics have been around the longest, and b, i wrote main pairs for hamilton. i do not do that very much anymore. is a huge relief that my most kudosed fic is not hamilton, though.

4. do you respond to comments? why or why not?

yes! i love receiving and replying to comments. discussing fic is one of my favorite things in thee world. this is maybe a bad thing, but one of the things that makes me more likely to comment on other people’s fic is if they tend to respond to comments: for me, comments are a space to engage with the author and let them know what you liked or ask any questions you may have. if they don’t engage, i feel a little weird shouting into the void. so i try to give that kind of engagement to my own readers! should note that i do sometimes fail to reply to shorter comments on older fics, but otherwise i think i’ve replied to almost every comment i’ve ever gotten.

5. what’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

the deleted ones. they sure were about being a teenager and being catastrophically sad about it. god. and a lot of my fics that are still up from before, idk, 2018? are just pure self-indulgent angst. i don’t like to look at them. i guess more recently, the ‘angstiest’ fics i’ve written would be you were the most exciting thing i’d ever known (turn), cough it out (undrafted), and d’celui que son coeur aime (hockey rpf), but i’d say those endings are less angsty than unresolved, in a way that, you know, could be hopeful.

6. what’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?

well, if they’re not interminable angst, they’re all pretty happy. not sure how to quantify that. my older fics tend to end with more unbridled joy, i suppose, but i couldn’t name a Happiest One.

7. do you write crossovers? if so, what is the craziest one you’ve written?

i have never published a crossover. HOWEVER, a long, long time ago, my friend and i came up with the idea for a sense8/hamilton crossover that crosses my mind every so often. i’ve always loved the band of brothers/the pacific crossover fics as well, and that one sledgefu/baberoe mixup fic from a couple years ago lives rent free in my brain. i would love to explore that further. (on another note, everyone keeps ignoring the brock boeser/harry jowsey hockey rpf/too hot to handle crossover event that i would like to force you all to bear witness to. but i’m not sure that counts as a crossover because it’s just two ‘real life’ dudes who i think should kiss.)

8. have you ever received hate on a fic?

nope! everyone has been lovely and kind and uplifting to me during my time on ao3. i’ve received some strange comments, but no mean ones.

9. do you write smut? if so, what kind?

yes! but i am relatively new to it. (i say this. i have been writing it for two? three? years? but i have not published very much of it, so i still feel like a newborn fawn every time i venture into that genre.) i am also not sure what ‘what kind’ is supposed to mean, but i did write hockey rpf knifeplay that one time. cheers?

10. have you ever had a fic stolen?

nope! i do not think i am popular enough for anyone looking for fic to steal to happen across me. i do think someone trying to claim, like, ballet class with a visitor (hockey rpf) as their own would be funny, though.

11. have you ever had a fic translated?

not yet! i think one may? be in the works? but i have not heard back from the person responsible for a bit. i welcome all fic translation requests!

12. have you ever co-written a fic before?

nope, and i don’t plan on it! i am a terror in group projects. i could be working with, idk, markus zusak and i still wouldn’t trust him to put my ideas into words in a way that i wanted. i just get very controlling and snippy if my style and my co-writer’s style don’t exactly mesh, so i can happily say co-writing fic would be a bad time for everyone involved, and i don’t want to put anyone through that.

13. what’s your all-time favorite ship?

hmmmm i don’t think i have one! if you’d asked me this five years ago, the answer might have been alexander hamilton/john laurens. if you’d asked three years ago, it might have been lewis nixon/dick winters. if you’d asked, like, six months ago it would’ve been ‘idk, something hockey-related?’ i am fickle and changeable and cannot pick favorites.

14. what’s a wip that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

oh, so many ideas for the pacific. sometimes i go back and listen longingly to the playlist for a little less human (the pacific) and think about how much i love pirates. and then i remember how much i hate plot, and yeah. that fic is not getting written. would love to repurpose it into an original pirate lesbian story if i ever decide that plot is my thing, though.

15. what are your writing strengths?

i like to think i write pretty good descriptive prose! people also tend to like the way i handle relationship dynamics, the way i write pretty genuine human emotions, and my fondness for metaphors/motifs.

16. what are your writing weaknesses?

haha. i don’t like editing. at all. once i finish writing something, i don’t want to look at it anymore. it’s already embarrassing, get it away. let someone else on the internet read it and judge it so i don’t have to think about it. i can force myself through like, one or two rounds of editing (and by that i mean like. light editing. grammatical errors, word choice, etc. i am not rewriting whole sections or anything), but after that i need several days (weeks? months?) before i can even think about reading it closely again. i think because of that, a lot of my writing reads like a first draft. it can get purple, repetitive, unoriginal. but i’m also having fun with it and i learn something new with every story i write, so i’m not, like, mad about it.

17. what are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

i do this a lot! i think it takes practice to understand how to include it in a way that’s not clunky or awkward, but it can be really effective if you’re doing it for a reason. i also think it helps if you are actually multilingual or can talk to someone who is, because you can think about it from a personal perspective. like, when i’m throwing in dialogue in another language, i’m thinking, okay, how would i do this? why would i do this? would i do this if i were in this specific situation? how do i think about switching languages? how do i use the languages i speak in different situations? and so on. i will say, if there’s a fic that includes another language in a weird or awkward way, it’s an instant turn-off for me, haha.

18. what was the first fandom you wrote for?

well, that depends on how you define ‘wrote for.’ i wrote warrior cats roleplays with my friends for like, five or six years of my life. and i mean four hundred page tomes of roleplays, full of stupid conflict and overripe descriptions and a million cats named shit like mistytwilight. then i wrote really shitty supernatural fanfiction in middle school that i never published because i barely knew what an ao3 was. and then i published my first fic on ao3, and it was for hamilton. so take your pick.

19. what’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to?

the terror!!!!!!!!!!! on GOD i will write something for that stupid show, i just need to get over being intimidated by the super intellectual fandom, lmao. everyone i have met through the terror has been so smart and good at writing and knowledgeable about everything to do with 19th century naval exploration, and i feel like a small child throwing out a peace sign every so often when i reblog a silly gifset of the square man who is in love with the little teapot man.

20. what’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

it’s still gotta be got no brakes (hockey rpf). my magnum opus. quite honestly the best thing i have ever written. this is the one piece of writing i can revisit as many times as i please and not cringe internally at any part of it. every time i read it i have a brief flicker of hope that maybe, maybe, through all the bullshit and writer’s block and self-doubt and bad bad fanfiction, maybe i am a decent writer. it’s also just incredibly absurd, and it reminds me of people who i love a lot because it is essentially one extended inside joke. just many good feelings tied to jeep fic, and i think everyone should experience it.
