Finally completed my first run through Baldur’s Gate 3 and I understand, wholeheartedly, why this game has so much praise. It’s f*cking brilliant. Seriously, I’m already about six hours into my second run, and I’m still having a blast. Seriously, this game has exceed all of my expectations. Baldur’s Gate 3, for me, is as good as Mass Effect in almost every way. If you’ve been around these parts for a while, then you know that is high praise. ME is one of my favorite game franchises of all-time. They won me over with solid world building, great narrative and plotting, plus some of the best character work I’ve experienced in any form of media. I’ve been through Tali’s story so many times, and I still love every second of it! It’s been years, man, and every time I come back to that world, I have a blisteringly difficult time not courting my darling Quarian. I get that same vibe with Karlach. Goddamn, is my muscle mommy Tiefling barbarian, straight sugary adorableness!
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/9b4699c2673a138c7b6a2c0648599839/3d1866813ca81925-ba/s540x810/f1335b8c9d45bd429657328ef9bf0b0d852fb655.jpg)
Now, I know when I say it was the narrative that hooked me, that’s kind of a cheap reason. Dungeons and Dragons has been around for about as long as I’ve been alive. A little longer actually. I watched the old cartoon when I was super young and have been DnD adjacent my entire life. My best friend in elementary was a huge DnD guy so I am aware of how vast that world truly is. That said, the narrative chosen for this game is just plain good. The scope is vast enough for a grand adventure, but the detail in every interaction is what does it for me. These cats really put lobe and effort into the script, plotting some great experiences and legitimate, emotional, situations. Look me in the face and tell me Astarion’s story doesn’t get that single man tear to drop. And the voice cast?! My goodness, did they perform their asses off! It was a weird experience, mostly because these characters are all brand new, yet, their actors were cast perfectly to bring them to life. Like, there is no way Shadowheart doesn’t sound EXACTLY like Jennifer English. None.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/d40d5b4d1f6d40caeaed33d942480f1a/3d1866813ca81925-bc/s540x810/6966778a36c400bcd84e02338822d4d9408df0d7.jpg)
Obviously, my favorite part about this game was the actually flaming, delicious cinnamon roll, known as Karlach Cliffgate. Everything about that chick is fantastic. Design, backstory, growth; I adore me some Karlach. She’s the reason I even bought this game. She was the first companion I romanced. Loved every second of that side story. Until the end. Her ending sucks balls, which is the biggest beef I have with this game overall; The ending is kind of lame. Listen I loved every second in the Forgotten Realms. The journey was epic and entertaining but the ending? Man, that felt flaccid as sh*t. The weakest part of this game, for me, was that final battle. After facing off against Ketheric and Orin, among others, the Netherbrain was kind of meh. The entire conclusion was just less. That’s the one thing Mass Effect has over this game. The ending to every ME title was epic, cinematic, and satisfying. The ending to BG3 left me wanting. It’s not bad, per se, just pedestrian. We had such highs and legitimate pathos throughout our adventure just to get to the end for what? And ending? It feels like the game just kind of stops. You obviously have your character moments, which are dope (except for Karlach's because f*ck that sh*t, bro), but not much outside of that really gets you pumped. I wasn’t disappointed of anything, just indifferent.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/00e17caa995c19f9a5eeff6f4bcd0539/3d1866813ca81925-48/s540x810/b225d930a829c724de0b219280da325d2e591caa.jpg)
At the end of the day, this game was fantastic. This gaming experience was transformative. I’ve already started my second play through, opting (after much internal debate) to romance Shadowheart. I hear she’s the most popular option and, so far, I understand why. Still team Karlach till I die, but Shadowheart is a different kind of adorable. Rolling hard with Astarion in my party, Le’zel was in his place last time, and I’ve already seen some interestingly catty banter about. Good times, that. I plan to actually cure this Shadows out this time and see where that goes, just like I opted to go Underdark instead of over the mountains or whatever. I’m already set on a Dark Urge run after this one, or whenever Patch Seven drops because there are hints of a possible romance with Alfira. Also, Dragonborns are cool to look at. There’s SO much to do in this game, so much to explore and develop. You can get lost in this narrative, which is the entire point of DnD. It’s wild seeing how far this franchise has come. Once upon a time, it was the reason for a Satanic Panic. Then it was a denizen for the Nerdy. Now, it’s got a solid film under its belt and, arguably, one of the greatest video games of all time. In conclusion, Karlach is best girl. Fight me!

Ok so....thoughts
It was awesome!! I still can't believe I fell a f*king sleep RIGHT before the live streem
But It is still awsome! I love the aesthetic too yall nailed the cowboy/western theme
I love the way albus was introduced also the "I know what it's like, finding someone you want to protect" BRO I've listened to the canon ending and I still don't know were the f*k faithful is tbh I kinda guessed when this series was announced that it would be set in the far future like after the death of faithful hell even korano but who knows?!
I'm still theorising on who that guy at the start was! My first guess was cerabelious but then the listener said they were from earth (biggest twist of the century) so my mind gose to before the earth was destroyed but that was in....the quarian saga...

mass effect replay thoughts, episode 9
episode 1 / episode 2 / episode 3 / episode 4 / episode 5 / episode 6 / episode 7 / episode 8
we’re on mass effect 2 now
again, HACKETT STOP CALLING ME ON MY BANANAPHONE CHALLENGE
the bananaphone is for bananergencies ONLY, i am BLOCKING this NUMBER
have i mentioned how much i hate arrival? like, come on now. “you’re not an operative, you’re just someone helping out a friend” hackett. old man. grandpa. big “it’s not technically illegal, but if the council finds out they’re gonna yell at us” energy.
and then I’M the one getting [redacted]
we’re not there yet. for now, we’re hitchhiking all over the galaxy, collecting checks notes mangy old mercs, idealistic fools, cat burglars, cool chicks, assassins, justicars, our wonderful krogan son, mad scientists, cool mechanics, mobile units full of big lads
and miranda and jacob were already there
learning that jacob’s dialogue trees were written by the same guy responsible for the ‘mixed signals’ fiasco with kaidan in the first one, i was NOT surprised. fem!shep can’t just. be a person around that man, huh?
it was my SECOND conversation with him, how is this happening
running downstairs to cry on garrus' shoulder
(we’re gonna romance thane in this playthrough for maximum tragedy – and boy, am i ever looking forward to THAT infamous dialogue choice)
listen, i am only flirting with kelly for the sake of my FISH
JACK, I LOVE YOU
sad picnics for everybody! i might have cursed the mako, but it’s a pity you can’t just… go to a lot of planets to hang out
GRUNT I LOVE YOU BABY
shepard: lets rana go again
zaeed: that’s gonna bite you in the arse someday
shepard: [turns wordlessly]
horizon is a PAIN in my BAHOOKIE
GARRUS IS DOING CALIBRATIONS goddammit i need my bro
hell, garrus, you were always ugly
that man really just made himself the spectre (heh) of shepard’s good intentions and called that a vocation, huh
bioware: ooh, raptor man sexy. got it. brandon, drop the voice an octave!!
garrus: my feelings got in the way of my better judgment
buddy. BUDDY. there’s your feelings, then there’s 50 feet of crap, and then MORE FEELINGS. WHAT BETTER JUDGMENT?? have you met yourself
[on omega] is it hot in here or just coughs oh, that’s not good
VAKARIAN, nO!
like, i have several bones to pick with the quarians about the geth but that anti-quarian prejudice on the citadel is GRINDING MY GEARS. that poor girl being accused of pickpocketing.
i finally found a description for that security checkpoint npc who just… in close-up, it’s mostly fine, but in a medium shot, it’s just
it’s like when you draw a face on a hotdog

Sometimes I think I like Tali a bit too much but then I rest in comfort knowing that I don’t like her to the point where I analyze what her sweat would taste like.
#I get liking her 'cause she's adorable and such but dog... bit too far there... bro... you might not have wanted to post that...#I was (am?) very annoying about her though.#Lmao... thinking back to the texts I would send my friends... just talking about Tali... love that funky little Quarian.

I don’t think I’ve nerded out with you about the ME franchise: which one is your favorite/or a fave side quest? ✨💖
!!!! kisses your face
i love them all so much honestly it's hard to choooooose so let's cheat and go with favouite aspects✨
I looooove the feel of the squad in two. it's fun. it's a little like assembling a pirate crew. everyone is so different and strange and cool poly ship normandy
everything about 3 breaks me a little in all of my favourite ways. saying goodbye to the crew, to shepard's LI. the MUSIC IN THE WHOLE GAME. the return of characters like the rachni queen too, bittersweet though they are. side note the whole attack on the citadel section i LOVE. the casual and blatant reminder that they aren't safe, even there, was so sharp. SIGH
i'm emotionally attached to mordin. he's my emotional support mad scientist. his mission on surkesh makes me want to chew through metal (I'm not usually too fazed about playing through 'bad' options in games, but I cannot play renegade shepard for that mordin mission. I had to watch it second hand and i'm still not over it)
tali's loyalty mission in me2 is one of my faaaaaavourites but ESPECIALLY if you recruit legion + take him with you. the quarians are Not happy and its funny but also interesting. side note I love legion SO much. sweet adorable robot
finding garrus as archangel in me2 is one of my top ten moments I YELLED SO LOUD. i love his romance but he's also just my ride or die bro
citadel is in my top threeeeeee bc it's silly and self-aware and everything I love about the whole franchise. watching grunt drunk in the shower adds weeks to my life EVERY time.
the entire heist mission with kasumi 10/10 I need shep to go on INFINITE silly heist missions
lair of the shadow broker is SO fun but my favourite way to play it is to 1) romance liara in me1 and 2) romance someone else in me2 bc liara is SO bitchy if you're betrayed her a little. it's incredibly entertaining. the sexual tension between her and shepard in between pancaking the mercs on illium...amazing
taking a break from positivity to mention that i HATE the hammerhead. that hunk of space junk can get thrown on a giant bonfire thank YOU. 0/10. i'm team mako. (team nomad too but i'll leave andromeda for now✨)
bring down the sky was so much fun too. crazy infiltration mission turned moral quandry? sign me UP.
side note one of my favourite little reveals was that conrad verner, superfan and all-out strange dude, has a fucking PhD in super high level physics. this guy use his ENTIRE brain studying dark matter and then decided "that's enough. let's follow a cool spectre around the galaxy". i respect that.
#under the cut bc i just basically rambled about the things i love#I've rewritten this post seven times bc I kept remembering things that I love#or trying to structure my thoughts and that. did not work. SO#you get this assorted nonsense#thank you SO much for asking ✨💖#tell me your thooooooooughts i want to know#asks#mass effect#cerberusdreams

Playing ME: Legendary is so Frustrating
because, eventually, you have to play Mass Effect 3.
And look, ME:1 is greatly improved in the Legendary set. They not only boosted the visuals, they improved all the interfaces and brought them in line with the series in a way that improves playability. The story was already great, the gameplay was brought up to match.
ME:2 was already damn near perfect. I can’t think of any noticable improvement other than including all the DLC I didn’t pay for the first time, and I was happy with that. It didn’t need improving. I wouldn’t change a thing.
But ME:3. I’m only in the very very beginning of the game and already I’m frustrated, and it’s exactly because I just finished playing two really excellent games.
You are much more on rails for this game than ever before. Yes, it meets the exact same structure as the previous games -- opening disaster, first squad members humans, first mission on a human colony, then it’s time to gather your alien supporters -- but there’s a lot less room for you to decide how Shepard reacts to things. The game has already decided who Shepard is and what Shepard wants, and there’s no room for you to disagree.
In some ways that’s cool because it remembers exactly what you had Shepard do in 1+2. The continuity between the games is pretty strong, and that’s impressive.
But in most ways it’s bad. Because it means your character-building is already done at the very start of the game. You can’t have your character grow or change their mind about things based on their experiences so far - what you did in the previous games is still what you’re going to do now. And your range of responses for all Shepards is greatly limited compared to before. So for example Shepard is thrilled to be back with the Alliance after it kicked her out for what she did to stop the Reapers and after working with Cerberus for an extended period of time. But that wasn’t a decision I made - that was my only decision. I don’t get the option of telling the alliance to fuck off after how they treated me and maybe rejoining them only reluctantly because Anderson asked me to. I don’t get any character options at all.
Then, I’m immediately reminded how garbage your romance choices are in Mass Effect if you’re a female Shepard. There is no way to romance the same person in all three games. If you want the romance achievement you will have to choose 2-3 different partners. And this has a lot of unpleasant consequences for female Shepartd that Male Shepards don’t have to face: being accused of cheating and betrayal (does not happen to M!Shep), your LI from 2 dying in 3 no matter what you do (can’t happen to Male Shep), and just having to role play losing your LI in some way or other every game. (Also, and I’m going to complain forever about this, but so many love interests are locked in for Straight Male Shepard in a way that doesn’t make sense. You going to tell me aliens care whether I’m male or female? That Miranda cares? That freaking JACK cares? Come on. This is classic bro-pandering from Bioware same as they do for the Dragon Age series, and it’s really irritating.)
Also, I haven’t gotten into the meat of the story yet, but I’m already reminded of some of the stupid, stupid story choices that were made: The Illusive Man is indoctrinated. We’re fighting Cerberus again after years of working with them and no apparent ambivalence about this. EDI has a sexy robot body now (siiiiiiiiiigh). Kai Leng. The fucking Star Kid. I told myself I could enjoy ME:3 right up to the deeply stupid ending and then just stop the game and make up my own ending, but the fucking Star Kid is all over the damn place in this game, as is the 3-part choice of Destroy, Control, and I forget Blend? Something? It was so stupid, you guys. So stupid. It’s hard to ignore.
But here’s the worst thing of all. The combat in this game is SO FUN. When I said ME:2 was near perfect, this is the one thing that is better in ME:3. You run better and more naturally, you can dodge roll, and do more satisfying melee moves. They finally got the balance right between powers, guns, and ammunition, and made more dynamic fights where you aren’t just hiding in cover until everything is dead. Even the interfaces are better than in previous games, getting rid of the eyebleedy orange data pads from 2 for instance. The weapons mod system from 1 is back, and improved. Although I liked the leveling in 1 the best, 3 is a close second, with more choices to build your characters. ME:3 is fun to play! It’s the most fun fighting has been in the whole series!
Plus, you get all the payoffs from the previous two games: you get to cure the Genophage, for instance. Which is a choice, but of course you’re going to cure the Genophage - who doesn’t cure the Genophage? You get to resolve the Quarian/Geth conflict which has been a huge part of the series, plus make peace between Tali and Legion. Plus some flat-out cool stuff. A Thresher Maw fights a Reaper! Hang out with the huge cast of characters on shore leave in the best DLC of the whole series!
So it’s basically impossible to just skip 3. You have to have the whole frustrating experience again, with all of the pretty high highs and the really, really low lows. As an end to the whole Legendary Edition experience, it’s just a reminder of how Bioware lost it’s way.

If the girls and extras were in Mass Effect universe, who would be who (Shepard + his crew) ?
My friend, Kaya, and I actually talked about this because [her fault btw] we are obsessed with Liara T'Soni~ [with fem!Shep not bro!Shep]
Anyhoo~
Shepard - Sivir would make the best ideal Shepard in my opinion. She is strong, cunning, and fits the Shepard image more than, let's say, Akali. I can imagine her being either Paragon or Renegade, or both. Those options suit her more.
Liara T'Soni - Since Sivir is Shepard and I love Liara and she's my main love interest, Kai'sa might suit this role the best. They are both quiet and prefer their independence and solidarity. Kai'sa is pretty wise and observant and would make a great ally.
Ashley Williams/ Kaiden Alenko - I see that role going to Akali, more so on Ashley [except the xenophobic part]. Ashley lives up to the failed but great Williams in her family and I think Akali would suit that role quite well.
Garrus Vakarian - I honestly chose Taliyah because besides Akali, they are also close friends with Sivir. I can see Taliyah being someone who sees the flaws in the C-Sec and wanting to fight for a cause bigger than some galactic affair [you know...the fucking Reapers]. Also, Shepard and Garrus' friendship runs deep [especially when you play only Paragon, you can feel it] and I think that suits Sivir and Taliyah.
Miranda - Take a wild guess. Okay, it's Evelynn. Why? Bubble butt. And maybe the fact it coincides with my personal headcannon of Evelynn and her father, Edmund [oc], having a strained and broken relationship. Miranda is also resourceful and knows how to survive and I think that suits Evelynn. Also...
Jack - Ahri. Now hear me out, maybe this Ahri isn't as loud and crass as Jack but she will fight with Evelynn. I can see Ahri being this rare fox species that was experimented on to enhance her biotics.
Tali'zorah- I chose Sona because I think the Quarian design might suit her the most. [Ignore the fact that Garrus and Tali has a little romance thing]. Sona is wise, smart, and she can explain that she can not talk but she has a communicator in her body suit so she is able to "talk" [so her voice sounds very robotic]
Ashley Williams/Kaiden Alenko - Fuck it, my headcannon so I do whatever I want and they both LIVE. If Akali is Ashley then Irelia can be Kaiden OR vice versa [but I never let Kaiden live so idk his backstory as well as Ashley and I let Ashley live so I can keep giving her shit when she complains]. Irelia would be more stoic and by the book when it comes to it. But she would be willing to break a few rules when to comes down to it. Also, she would be promoted to Spectre and Akali would nominate her as well.
Tbh, my friend and I had a hard time trying to assign ME roles to K/DA. It could go anyway so just know this is just my opinion and even I had a hard time with it. But it's fun!

Mass Effect Tag
@ljandersen Thanks for the tag! Love games :)
Tagging: @becauseanders @cactuarkitty @nerdierholler @dr-ladybird @happy-bark
I am a fan since: 2011. I’d just played Dragon Age Origins and Dragon Age 2, and was so lost when I’d finished them that I thought I’d take a chance on a Sci-Fi game I was sure I’d hate...
Favourite game of the series: Mass Effect 1. The main menu music brings me so much joy every time I start a new play-through, I just sit there and listen to it several times through before I hit ‘Play’.
Mshep or Fshep? FShep for life
Earthborn, Colonist, or Spacer? Colonist
Biotics or Tech? Biotics
Paragon or Renegade? Paragon. I tried Paragade once - I didn’t even make it off Eden Prime before I wanted to restart.
Favourite class: Vanguard or Infiltrator if I’m playing the games, but Soldier for fics (I think it makes much more sense, with the way characters talk about Shepard and her background, that she’s just a soldier, but it’s so much more fun to add Biotics or Headshots into the mix when playing).
Favourite companion: Wrex ALL DAY LONG. I love the weird respect and friendship/brother-sister thing they have going on.
Least favourite companion: Oh Jacob. Take a bow.
My squad selection:
ME1 = Kaidan (for tech) and Wrex/Ashley (for firepower)
ME2 = Jack and Kasumi (love my all-female squad, and these are the two who come with me to fight the human Reaper), or Garrus and Miranda.
ME3 = Kaidan and Garrus (I don’t really ‘get’ Garrus as Shepard’s best bro until ME3, and then I love him).
Favourite in-game romance: Shenko trash for life. Kaidan Alenko breaks my heart.
Favourite NPC: I love Shiala’s story. Engineer Adams, Niftu Cal, Kirrahe, Nihlus... so many!
Favourite Antagonist: Sovereign is one of my favourite baddies in anything ever. His speech on Virmire gives me goosebumps.
Favourite loyalty mission: Probably Miranda’s, especially as an infiltrator timing the shots to the explosive crates.
Favourite mission:
ME1 = Virmire for the stunning scenery, Sovereign’s speech, and Kirrahe.
ME2 = Archangel. I never really played for the gameplay, it was always for the story, and if I hit a difficult mission I’d have no problems turning the difficulty down. But the Archangel mission was the first time I felt motivated to keep trying and eventually ‘git gud’ enough to make it through on a higher difficulty. It took ages (I’m not skilled)!
ME3 = Priority Tuchanka. Mordin+Wrex+Bakara = perfection
Favourite DLC: Lair of the Shadow Broker, Arrival or Leviathan. ME really has some great DLC.
Control, Synthesis or Destroy: Always destroy, but I do hesitate over synthesis. I just feel that Destroy is the only one that guarantees that the Reapers stop their harvest. Control means that Shepard is no longer human, and without that connection to humanity and the rest of life in the galaxy, there’s no way to know that Shepard’s consciousness won’t eventually morph and come to the same conclusion the Reapers did. The same with Synthesis, as the catalyst’s ‘logic’ is completely destroyed by the peace between the Geth and Quarians, and the galaxy-destroying wars waged between organic species. A newly ‘organic’ race of reapers would be just as dangerous as Leviathan, and that doesn’t seem like a peaceful option.
Favourite weapon: Arc pistol
Favourite place: Normandy (SR1 or SR2) CIC
Favourite Quote:
Wrex: “I AM URDNOT WREX AND THIS IS MY PLANET!”
Shepard: “What would I do without you?” Kaidan: “You’ll never find out.”

What Humans Are Doing To Pepe Le Pew, Is Added To My Semi-Misanthrope
okay I don’t think I wanted to believe it, but I’m still in the middle of watching the video this video --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUpm9M45O_s
I’m watching it on the Xbox In the living room, but I just had to pause it and sign on to tumblr to talk about my feelings.
I was watching some movies before that,
that has a crossover of live action and animation.
I love movies that has crossovers of the real world and cartoon world.
even if Pepe comes on a bit strong to women, maybe both toon and non-toon.
he isn’t as bad as some humans in real life, who have done far worse.
and if it is true that Johnny Bravo will be next, then I will have another thing to add to my Semi-Misanthropy.
I still like humanity, just not when they do stupid and insensitive disgusting things like what they are trying to do to Pepe Le Pew.
lucky there are some humans that know better and those are the ones that I still don’t find disgusting and doing that disgusting act on Pepe.
who by the way is a TOON, not a human.
even if he and some toons like him are “human on the inside”
they are Anthropomorphic.
even if some years decades back, there were such offensive cartoons
that are known as the Banned Cartoons.
but you can’t just mix them in with toons like Pepe Le Pew or even Johnny Bravo.
if the cartoon Johnny Bravo gets hurt in anyway by those so called women,
who think they are helping women by cancelling Johnny Bravo,
their not, and Johnny Bravo might be many things, but at least he doesn’t try to “hurt” women like most attackers do in real life.
yeah both Pepe and Bravo flirt, and kiss the toon females in their cartoons,
BUT they do not cross the line into what some disgusting humans do in real life.
so don’t go and blame those self proclaim gift to women/adorkable toon romeos, for how some humans act in real life.
also please read this too --> https://www.nbcnews.com/pop-culture/movies/pep-le-pew-scene-removed-space-jam-sequel-actor-says-n1260282
but make sure to watch the video link first.
I have it on pause right now, and I’m still watching it, and I plan to check out the other videos that talk about what is happening to Pepe Le Pew.
then after that, I might just play Bendy And The Ink Machine.
if they wanted to change Pepe, they could of had Pepe end up in some kind of scene where he sings about how he only has eyes for Penelope,
and him ending up not flirting with every pretty face after they started to meet up again, and Pepe gets the realization that he is truly in love with Penelope.
but instead of doing that, they just decide to cut him out.
my fighting for Pepe has nothing to do with my heritage,
like my 23rd Great-Grandfather Philip being from France,
and well he was a very important person back in his time.
but like I said, my fighting for Pepe has nothing to do with one of my heritages.
Pepe deserves better, he is a Toon that should have some rights,
even if he and other toons are fictional, he shouldn’t be cut out of the movie.
and it seems Warner Bros wont have Pepe appear in anymore future projects
even if Penelope got a restraining order on Pepe,
for him touching others without their consent, it doesn’t mean he did what most humans have done in real life.
touching, could imply the kissing and touching of the arm or hugging,
not the forbidden zone, he ain’t No Holli Would.
if we want toons to be modernize, don’t just kill them off.
in one of the Looney Tunes Shows, where that new character Tina appeared in,
who I happen to like has Daffy’s new love interest.
Speedy ran his own restaurant and even had a dance studio where he taught other people dancing, he did thought Bugs was a real lady when Bugs was in disguise.
and Pepe he was helping plan Lola and Bugs’s wedding, and he was apparently married many times himself.
yes I can agree that Pepe can be a bit forceful in his smitten affections,
as well as him not being able to take a no for a answer.
plus if you watched any re-run of his cartoons,
you will see that he gets his karma by the shoe being on the other foot,
and he becomes the scared and running away from the lovesick female cat.
so how come no one is fighting for Pepe when he ends up being the one who tries to get away from the lovesick female...?
he wasn’t the only one who locked the door so the one he was trying to chase after couldn’t escape.
if you watch one of the re-run cartoons that has that episode,
it is the female cat who locks the door so Pepe couldn’t escape.
so how come Pepe when he ends up in the shoes/place of the females he tries to win the love of (even if it is in the wrong way) he doesn’t get people who tell him it’s okay, and he isn’t the only guy who went through such a terrible thing?
I don’t believe that Looney Tunes would go so far in their show of aggressive affection.
Pepe and Johnny might be many things, like not being able to take a No,
and tend to hug or kiss gals without consent,
but they are not the “R” word.
if toons have to get modernize, they shouldn’t be hurt like how Pepe is being hurt right now.
some cartoons aren’t for kids, and it should be the parents or guardians responsibility to keep the kids from seeing mature cartoons, or some mature live action/cartoon crossover type movies with mature themes in them,
until they are the proper ages to watch them.
I also want to say that I hope that someday the Cartoon Network’s name
is changed to “Warnertoon Network” because technically the Cartoon Network is linked to Warner Bros.
there is a old short, that is even shown on Youtube,
that shows Johnny Bravo having some form of attraction to Samurai Jack.
even if it could show some form of proof that Johnny isn’t as hetero as he appears in his cartoons, and his interaction with Jack shows that he might be either bi or pan, but not realize it.
it might not truly stop Johnny being the next victim.
I am not a feminist or feminism, even if there are some positive groups that are still fighting for women and girls rights.
I rather be a part of a Androgyny side, it could still fight for Feminine.
but it can be a group for both Female, Male, Andro-Agender, Gyno-Agender, Agender, any form of Binary and Non-Binary.
yes there can still be jerk guys who still think girls are beneath them.
but a guy should only feel that way, if the said girls are being sexist jerks,
and the same goes for girls who are treated the same way, if a guy is being a sexist jerk, then try not to give them power to treat you that way.
even if I know there can be good people in this world,
like friends, family and others.
I can’t agree with what is happening with Pepe Le Pew,
I feel it is wrong and if they have to change Pepe for the modern times,
it should show in Space Jam 2 Movie, that after meeting with Penelope again,
and he finds himself not hitting on other females, because he comes to the realization that he is truly in love with her,
and doesn’t want anyone else but her.
characters do evolve and change over time,
some still stay the same but can still be a bit different.
if they did have a musical in Space Jam 2,
it would have Pepe Le Pew singing about how much he loves Penelope,
and how he no longer wants to chase any other girl
but her from now on.
even if it is still good to fight for rights for women, but Pepe isn’t a monster.
he might kiss and hug without consent, but he would NEVER cross the line.
even if some cartoon episodes might give the misinterpretation he would.
also even if I do have a Semi-Androphobia, I know that not all guys are bad or dangerous, and some can be safe to be around.
plus there can be some guys who have Gynophobia,
which could be caused by different reasons,
one of which could have to do with being a victim of unwanted forbidden zone advances.
and even Mr. Max Landis did do such a disgusting thing,
Pepe should not be some form of scapegoat,
or be blamed for that disgusting human’s actions.
like I said, Pepe Le Pew and Johnny Bravo might be many things,
but they would NEVER cross the line,
and do what that Shisno Landis did.
no matter what bio-sex or gender identity you are,
if you believe that Pepe is being wrong, that I hope you can agree that what is happening to him isn’t right.
Pepe might think he can flirt or hug and kiss other gals without their consent,
and think they will fall for him, but he would never do what that Shisno did.
Shisno is of course from Red Vs Blue, and is what A.I. and Robots
call Humans, or in other words, what Organics are called.
even if Tali from Mass Effect does have her positive side,
and she does end up forming some type of friendship with Legion in one of the game timelines.
when she doesn’t form a friendship with Legion or starts to finally realize
that her people did the geth wrong.
she stays a dirty dirty shisno.
at least some quarians didn’t try to destroy the geth,
and wanted to help them, those quarians that did try to help the geth,
aren’t dirty shisno. but those quarians in the past were met with a bad end when they did try to help and protect the geth.
even if I haven’t been able to beat the Mass Effect 3 yet,
I know the info from reading or watching clips about it.
I hope that someone makes a petition to save Pepe and put him back in the Space Jam 2 Movie, and maybe have Pepe realize he wants no other woman in his life but Penelope, maybe even have Penelope realize the same thing too.
I know that there is a possibility by the time the movie is fully finished,
Pepe might still be out of it, which isn’t fair and should be fixed.
Pepe is a bit aggressive in his flirting, but he isn’t a monster like some humans are in real life.
if ya want to change Pepe a bit, to make him less how he was in his older cartoons, then make it so that he at least gets a slap or takes one No for answer.
Pepe acting the way he does, could mirror how Johnny Bravo acts, but a big differently.
yes Pepe is suppose to be French, but who he is wouldn’t have to do with his heritage, he is flirty and can take his flirting in the wrong direction.
but he is not a monster who would hurt the females he tries to win the love of,
if someone says that in some non-canon work that has Pepe in it,
it would NOT be canon to the canon Pepe.
Pepe being the way he is, would have to do with the person he is on the inside,
not because of where he comes from.
if we want to save Pepe Le Pew, then how he ends up chasing women,
can be changed a bit when he finally take the first or few signs of no,
as sign that he needs to stop, or his flirting can be played down a bit,
so it doesn’t get misinterpreted as being something that would cross the line to the forbidden zone.
I know that not everyone will see reason or try to understand that Pepe Le Pew,
might be a bit aggressive when he falls in love, or becomes attracted to someone that he believes he is in love with, but really he might not of truly have fallen in love before.
Pepe could have have his character developed a bit more
so he doesn’t get misinterpreted as one of the dangerous men/women that are seen in real life.
yes I am counting the women too, because there are some who are just as bad as men.
and yes as the title shows, what is happening with Pepe Le Pew,
is something that I have mentally added to my reasons to dislike humanity.
even if I still have some love for humanity,
it is what Pepe Le Pew that I just can’t stand.
if Pepe has to get rebooted to save him from the metaphorical dip,
which is because of the different reasons he is cut from the Space Jam 2 Movie, then I would be for Pepe’s character being rebooted if it saves him.
if they do reboot him a bit, but still have him be a flirt, they could make it so that he does take a No for answer, but would just do friendly flirts from time to time
but not cross the uncomfortable line.
they could even have his Nationally Changed a bit,
like him being American, but having French heritage.
I mean I am from America, but I do have French heritage,
sadly I can’t speak the language and might only know a few words.
I got a few other different heritages too...
but I strongly believe that Pepe Henri Le Pew, deserves better.
and if rebooting him saves him from being no longer used by a Warner Brothers and keeps humans from misinterpreting him, because of how he is as a person on the inside, then I am for him rebooting him if it means he can be back on the Space Jam 2 Movie.
how some people act wouldn’t have to do with where they come from,
it would have to do with the person they are on the inside.
and I hope some of you understand that and don’t misunderstand.
I want to believe there can be hope for Pepe Henri Le Pew,
that if he does end up back in the movie, those who work on the movie
will point out they will change Pepe a bit, and make it so that he doesn’t flirt the same way he had done in the past, and will fall in love in the movie and no longer have eyes on anyone but who he has fallen for.
once more Pepe should not be blamed for what some shisno guy did,
and if he is causing misunderstandings of any kind,
just reboot him and make it so he flirts but he does take a no, and even does friendly flirts without crossing the line of no touching like hugging or kisses without the consent.
consent is very important, and I still think Pepe’s old cartoon where in the end
he ends up being the one who becomes the runner while the female cat ends up chasing him, should be mention.
Pepe might be the type that is desperate for romantic love but never truly fell in love and only felt attraction.
and he just goes about it the wrong way, but if he never truly crossed the forbidden zone line, that would mean that Pepe would have some form of
Moral Compass where he knows there are some actions he would not take to try to win the heart of those he chases.
he might cross the line of hugging and kissing and unwanted cuddles,
but I don’t believe he would cross to the forbidden zone line, where it goes beyond hugs, kisses and cuddles.
Put Pepe Le Pew back in the Space Jam 2 Movie,
but make sure there is info saying that his character will be changed a bit,
to be less aggressive in his flirting, and he has learn to take No for answer,
and his flirting has transformed into friendly flirting, and he no longer kisses or hugs a woman without her consent.
I can only hope some other fans of Looney Tunes, feel the same and will speak out about it.
if they go after Fifi too, then that would be another line crossed,
yeah she can be a bit aggressive when chasing after boys,
but she does seem to have a love interest in Hampton, who likes her back.
but she wouldn’t cross the line either.
I need to grab something to eat, I’m still gonna finish watching that video.
once more even though I am Semi-Misanthrope,
I still have humans that I still care about and I know that not all humans
are the same and wouldn’t just place the blame solely on Pepe.
and I really do hope he lets back in the movie before it’s fully finished,
and his character gets changed a little bit, so he comes off as a friendly flirt
that has learn to take No for answer.
Pepe and Johnny might take their flirting over the line at times,
but they would never cross the gross and physically harmful line,
where it would cause the person to become scared of either a man or woman that did harm to them.
the sooner humans learn this, I think the better it will be for all toonkind in the cartoons we love, both in shows, movies, video games and comics.
even if they are just fictional, even those like Pepe Le Pew and Johnny Bravo,
should have some form of justice.
see ya later and stay safe everybody.
I’m gonna go grab something to eat now, and continue watching that video
that talks about Pepe Le Pew.

Smash Bros Character: Mass Effect AU (Warning: Long)
I know N7 day has come and gone, but I really wanted to show this to you guys for a while now. I love Mass Effect, and I love the idea of my favorite Smashers being in it.
If you have not played Mass Effect, I apologize, for you are about to be horribly confused.
Bayonetta: An Asari, but more than that she is an Ardat Yakshi who has found a way to control her powers and mate normally with other life-forms, but still has access to her mind-destroying powers. Her only real wish is to be left alone, but since Justicars continue to pursue her, she keeps moving. Despite her condition, she is, at heart, a kind soul.
Bowser: A Krogan warlord who has left his home with a collection of followers and colonized a new world. To subvert the Genophage he uses genetic engineering, creating a new generation of “Tank-Born” Krogan, including his own children. He is technically a fugitive from the Citadel Council, but they can never seem to keep him down for long. But now he has received an offer from a mysterious being called Ganondorf, one that seems too sweet to refuse.
Bowser Jr.: Bowser’s Tank-Born son, Bowser Jr feels like he has a lot to live up to. He and his siblings do their best to emulate their father and make himproud, embracing their heritage as Krogan despite being Tank-Born.
Captain Falcon: A former N7 Marine who quit the Corps to become a free-lance bounty hunter. He possess some Biotic ability, but relies mainly on his weaponry to get him out of trouble. He’s a modern day cowboy, zipping from System to System, hunting criminals and scum for money. Zaeed Masani himself declared him one of the few men he trusts.
Chrom: A human commander who’s name and leadership has garnered respect and admiration from the Alliance and Citadel forces. While he himself is a respectable fighter, he is a better commander than warrior. He has a daughter, but due to his promiscuous nature no one knows who the mother is.
Cloud: Cloud was an ordinary colony boy, albeit one born with Biotic abilities. Until his home colony was attacked by Cerberus. He and a few others were taken to the Teltin Cerberus facility and was experimented on horribly by Cerberus. He escaped during Subject Zero’s escape, but unlike her he was found by a passing Alliance patrol, led by one Commander Zack Fair. Now Cloud is a vigilante/mercenary has devoted himself to destroying Cerberus, and saving anyone they might make a victim.
Corrin: Corrin is a child of two worlds. They were raised by Asari Justicars to be a Huntress but she never lost contact with her native family and species. Corrin is now a candidate for the Specter Program, but now that they are on the Galactic Stage, they must start to question which world they belong to.
Daisy: An asari, unique in the fact that she has little to no Biotic power. She makes up for this by being an absolute beast of a soldier, trained in every weapon from pistols to the legendary M-20 Cain. Daisy is loyal to her asari people, particularly her cousin, but has her eye on a certain human officer.
Dark Pit: Dark Pit is a turian, a clone of the original. Despite his unorthodox birth, he is a fierce fighter and loyal, despite being a bit of a maverick. Assigned to the Asari Matriarch Palutena’s personal guard, Dark Pit is eager to shake the assumptions heaped upon him for being Pit’s clone.
Dark Samus: A creation of the Reapers, Dark Samus was created to mock the original and be her superior in every way. A barely sentient cyborg/clone, Dark Samus wants to be “alive” more than anything, and will do whatever it takes to make sure the Reapers succeed, for when they do they promised to grant her “life”.
Donkey Kong: Another Cerberus experiment gone wrong, Donkey Kong was the result of a Cerberus attempt to create Super Soldiers using animal DNA. DK was the most successful, but did not appreciate his confinement. So he busted out, leading a massive exodus of genetically engineered apes and monkeys, where they eventually found themselves on a planet to colonize. Little did they know, it was the home planet of the Yawhg...
Diddy Kong: DK’s adopted son and heir, Diddy is determined to live up to his foster dad’s legacy. Because his people are constantly at war with the Yawhg, Diddy has been forced to grow up quickly. His technical genius has been a boon to his people, leading to their salvation more than once.
Duck Hunt: A tame varren who made friends with a flying mutant pyjack.
Fox: Fox McCloud is a human Specter, and the current leader of the “Star Fox” team: an elite unit of soldiers put together by the Council with the express purpose of addressing and investigating the Reaper threat. Fox has made startling headway into the investigation, and dreads whatever else he might find.
Falco: A turian Specter, and Fox’s best friend/rival. Falco is a hot-headed bad-ass and a damn fine pilot, but his recklessness get him into trouble. However, unknown to anyone but Fox, Falco is the illegitimate son of Saren Atrerius, and will do almost anything to shake himself of his father’s dark legacy.
Ganondorf: No one is sure what Ganondorf once was. But what is known is that he is ancient. Older than human comprehension. He is, in fact, the last of the race that the Reapers originally were. His body has long since decayed, leaving only his mind electronically preserved. He was foound by Cerberus, and taken to a remote facility, where he reawakened and swiftly took over the facility. He has now constructed himself a new body. One made from the DNA of humans, krogan, turians, and asari, and reinforced with geth cybernetics. Now with Biotics unmatched and technical power unequaled, he will stop at nothing to achieve his aims. His goal? Take control of the reapers, and subsequently the whole Galaxy.
Greninja: A turian soldier, more than that, one trained in stealth and assassination. While originally loyal to the Hierarchy, Greninja has recently become disillusioned with the way things run, and has become more and more belligerent of orders. But soon, he may have to choose which side he falls on in what is to come.
The Ice Climbers: A pair of quarian twins who have taken to researching new worlds for the quarians to potentially settle. Their studies have found that colder climates would make a more suitable habitat for them, and have taken to studying the polar regions of planets. But their research has also dug up Reaper artifacts leading them to shift their focus away from colonization, to war.
Ike: The leader of the Alliance Corsair’s, a group of Alliance military ships that are technically off the books. Ike, is a second-generation Marine, but already his exploits have earned him respect and admiration from his fellow Corsairs and the Alliance military. Ike is strong-willed and a true champion of the people, hunting down any and all foes of the Alliance. But now he must turn his attention to the coming threat of the Reapers.
Incineroar: A mutate creature meant to fight for the Alliance, but escaped into the wild. He was eventually found and recruited by Pokemon Trainer.
Inkling: A child asari who has commandeered a vessel with their friends, looking for fun and adventure. They have been traveling the galaxy for a while, seeking new worlds and new adventures. But recent events are forcing them to take responsibility for their place in the Galaxy, and to answer the call of duty.
Isabelle: Isabelle is actually not military of any kind. She is a civilian, helping to oversee the construction of a new colony. It’s not her fault that it was on top of an ancient Reaper cache! Now she is forced to turn her colonists into a militia, to fight the coming onslaught.
Jigglypuff: A karaoke AI that gained sentience and fled in a robotic body. Now she’s a singer on Omega and is one of Aria T’Loak’s favorite members of her “court”.
Ken: One of two human Biotics raised by a turian martial artist to be warriors of and fighters. Ken is now a sport fighter, making hundreds of credits a night by winning matches. However, Ken’s sense of responsibility is strong, and the coming conflict will need his power.
King Dedede: A mysterious alien being from millions of years ago of incredible power and strength. However, his main goal seems to be to eat as much food as possible in the entire Galaxy. While he makes noise at being evil, he is really a big and friendly guy. However, he has great knowledge of the Reapers, and has sworn to help the Galaxy fight them. ...Right after lunch.
King K. Rool: A Yawhg who escaped the quarantine around his planet and now raises havoc as a pirate and crime lord with his Yawhg followers. K Rool is a creature of greed and cruelty, seeking as much pleasure and wealth as he can. However, Now that he has learned of DK’s presence on his home planet, he hunts him with a terrifying fervor. Too bad DK is usually too much for him too handle.
Kirby: One of King Dedede’s race, Kirby is an Elder Being of phenomenal cosmic power that may be able to save the galaxy from the reapers. Unfortunately he is also still a baby, and as such it is difficult to get him motivated.
Link: Link was a human raised by a turian exile who left the Hierarchy after his stalwart commitment to justice led him to mutiny during humanity’s “First Contact War”. Link was raised with that unbending commitment to justice in mind, and it shows. Trained to be the ultimate soldier, Link is now a galactic vigilante, fighting crime lords, slavers, and all manner of scum and villainy. He has even earned a moniker: The Star Knight. However, he refuses to be beholden to any government, since he believes them to be useless and inefficient. But lately his dreams have been dark. Terrible machines from the darkness. He must be ready.
Little Mac: Like Ken and Ryu, Little Mac is a free-lance fighter in the various galactic circuits. Or at least he was, until he was mutated by Eez-O. Now he is a super soldier, drafted by the alliance to help them fight the Reaper invasion. But little does Mac know, he is a secret Cerberus Project. And now they want their property back.
Lucario: Lucario is a powerful Biotic, and an experiment of Cerberus in combining human and asari DNA. As such, he also has unprecedented psychic abilities. Lucario, however, left Cerberus in a rather brutal fashion and carrying a jaded view of humans. This was changed, however, when he met Pokemon Trainer.
Lucas: Lucas is one of two human children who were given unprecedented Biotic powers when an asteroid from beyond the Galaxy landed in their colony. Now, struggling to control his new powers, Lucas finds himself at the center of a war he never wanted to be a part of. The Reaper War.
Lucina: The daughter of Commander Chrom, Lucina is a Staff Sargent int he Alliance Navy. She hopes to live up to her father’s legacy, but lately her days have been haunted by nightmares of the future. Visions of the extinction of the human race, begun by her father’s death. She must stop this from happening. It is the only way.
Mario: Mario is a former human Specter, but retired due to his increasing age. He is now an Fleet Admiral, commanding the Alliance’s forces from his flagship “The Mushroom Pride”. It is also well known that he is in a relationship with the daughter of an asari Matriarch.

Roy: Roy is Marth’s right-hand man. he is a ferocious soldier and technical expert, and is another founding member of the Corsairs. He has been with Marth since the beginning.
Richter Belmont: A member of a military family, one specifically trained to hunt rogue Biotics. As such, Richter is naturally resistant to Biotic abilities and any damage they cause. A bit arrogant, Richter has a good heart that is too often ruled by his hot head.
Ridley: A monster. He was a Yawhg originally, but was captured and experimented on by Cerberus until he was a twisted shadow of what he once was. He now roams the stars as an emissary for Cerberus, hunting down potential experimental subjects. However, sometimes his Yawhg aggression comes out and he goes on rampages. As is what happened on colony V-R-19, where Samus’s parents dies.
Ryu: Ken’s adopted brother and rival, Ryu travels the galaxy seeking worthy foes and the answers to his past. However, he soon finds himself enrolled in the Reaper War.
Samus: When Ridley killed Samus’s parents she was found and raised by the most unlikely of foster family. A small group of Prothean survivors, preserved beneath her colony. Samus was enhanced with their DNA, and turned into an unstoppable tool of destruction and war. Samus is, however, ruled by her sense of duty and commitment to her cause. she prepares to face the ancient enemy of her adopted species, the Reapers.
Shulk: Shulks life was... ordinary. Until, of course, the Heretic Geth attacked his home. Ever since his people have been at war, barely holding their own on their colony world, cut off from their native planet of Earth. However, Shulk has recently found something that may turn the tide. An ancient Reaper weapon. The Monado.
Simon Belmont: The patriarch of the Belmont family, a family that hunts rogue Biotics. A bit older and more jaded than Richter, but his heart is no less kind. He pursues his family’s ancient goal of hunting the ancient rogue Biotic: Dracula.
Solid Snake: A human and leading member of FOXHOUND, a Spec-Ops group founded for the express purpose of fighting Cerberus. But Snake is, in fact, a creation of Cerberus. Another of their experiments that has turned on his creators. snake is an old soul in a young body, having seen too much in too brief a time.
Sonic: A turian warrior, possessing an affinity for speed biotics that none others can match. Free-wheeling and fun-loving, Sonic is a maverick who just wants to help as many people as possible. He is also old friends with Admiral Mario.

Young Link: Another clone of Link, this one created by Cerberus. But this one is still a child. He is being raised by Cerberus, but in secret his mind is being molded by ancient and powerful forces for one purpose: to end Ganondorf and the Reapers once and for all.
Zelda: Zelda is a pureblood daughter of two asari matriarchs, and her biotic power shows it. She also seems to possess budding psychic powers as she seems to possess a modicum of foresight. She now seeks Link, seeing him as the key to ending Ganondorf.

Mass Effect 2: World and Culture Building
So, I recently got the Mass Effect: Legendary Edition on PS4, and I've been having some fun with it.
Like, the first game didn't 'wow' me as much as I was expecting from the hype (but I was kind of expecting it to underwhelm me a little, I'm used to games failing to completely live up to the hype... *side-eyes Smash Bros Brawl*) but it was a functional game. If a little buggy at times, but I can attribute most of that to me constantly jumping in and out of the main PS4 menu and leaving it on rest mode a lot.
So then, afterwards, I moved onto Mass Effect 2. First, just in case people are interested, or if it makes any real difference, I'll say what the choices I made in Mass Effect 1 were, the ones it reminds you of when you start Mass Effect 2.
I recruited everyone
My Shepherd was far more Paragon than Renegade
The game seems to think I romanced Ashley, but I did not. Her anti-alien feelings put me off her, honestly, but I guess the game thought I was more interested in her than in Liara.
I choose to let Kaiden die on Virmire... which might have contributed towards 'romancing' Ashley, come to think of it.
I calmed Wrex down, rather than killing him.
I THINK Garrus might be more renegade than Paragon, but I'm not 100% sure
I let Tali have the Geth data, for her pilgrimage.
I saved Zhu's Hope and Shiala.
I spared the Rachni Queen.
I spared Rana the Asari scientist on Virmire
I destroyed the fliers, meaning that Captain Kirrahe survived Virmire
I was kind to Conrad, although due to a bug, which I thought had been fixed, he said that I waved a gun in his face.
In 'Bring down the sky', I spared the hostages over killing Balak, and also spared Balak's second in command.
I let the Council die. Honestly, I wasn't really too interested in saving them considering all the stuff they'd done thorough out Mass Effect 1.
I chose Anderson over Udina for a place on the Council. Similarly to the Council, I wasn't interested in giving Udina any more power than he had before.
Apparently, that's all the important choices, so let's move on to Mass Effect 2 and what finally clicked for me, about why Mass Effect 2 is so loved. Although, if you read the title, you may already have guessed.
In Mass Effect 1, there is some information on the alien races, but it's mostly in text. You hear about the Quarian's flotila, you hear about the genophage and how a lot of the Krogan are more 'blood knight' characters who value strength above all else... I can't actually remember if you directly learn anything about the Turians, but I think it's implied that they are a race that is great at mechanics and engineering, and are also partially responsible for the genophage that all Krogans are infected with. You also learn a bit about the Asari but...
Honestly, it was kind of hard to care for quite a lot of it. Because it was just text. You get told, you don't get to experience any of it, partially because you're just a human.
In Mass Effect 2, this changes.
You encounter groups of Quarians twice, with Tali leading both groups. Tali is later on accused of treason, and you visit the Flotilla, which gives you a lot of insight into how Quarian culture works, as well as the trial itself. For instance, learning that a Quarian's last name comes from the ship they are from, or, if they are banished, the ship they currently inhabit, as displayed by Tali's name 'legally' having been changed to 'Tali'Zorah Vas Normandy' from "Tali'Zorah Vas Neema", and Tali commenting that it's like they've banished her already. You are then tasked with defending Tali, since you are the leader of the ship she is on. And you learn more about what the admirals want to do with concerns to the Geth, and learn more about what Tali's father was up to.
You also encounter a lab-made Krogan called 'Grunt' whom needs to go through the Rite of Passage. Since I spared Wrex, Wrex was the leader we encountered on the Krogan's home planet, and thus the one we talked to, and he greeted Shepard as an old friend. From what I've heard, if you killed Wrex, the leader instead is Wrex's brother, and he is a lot less... progressive, than his brother, and not as intelligent.
However, you find out that Wrex has managed to bring about quite a few changes, and is trying to basically unify the Krogan for their people to thrive. You find out about many rites, especially in regards to their shaman, who apparently does rites for himself every morning and every night.
It helps you see the Krogan as a lot less than the dumb muscle that they can be seen as in Mass Effect 1. While the Rite of Passage is basically what you would expect (fights against various creatures, ending with a fight against a Thresher Maw, which you would usually fight with a vechicle in Mass Effect 1) and also against a bunch of Krogan who were initially against Grunt going through the Rite (I shut them up by headbutting their ringleader, which, considering Wrex did it to them earlier for basically the same sort of reason, I assume is a show of dominance, basically a 'shut up fucker') wanting to recruit him for their clan, intent on overthrowing Wrex's clan who were trying to unify the Korgan, as mentioned.
You also get a lot more information on the Genophage, since not only is one of your crew members a Salarian, but is one of the scientists who made changes to the Genophage to made it more effective at controlling the population of Krogan. While he says that it was 'necessary', it's fairly obvious that he has guilt over it. You encounter him running a clinic for people who had been infected by a 'plague' on Omega, and he mentions his work on the Genophage often.
His loyalty mission (each crew member you recruit has a 'loyalty' mission, which ensures their loyalty and unlocks a new power for them) involves saving one of his former crew members, who has alledgedly been kidnapped and forced to do research on a genophage cure.
When you research the abandoned hospital, you find various corpses that show signs of having been experimented on, and a lot of dialogue choices where you can tell Mordin that he was wrong to do this, or that he was right to do so. And it does result in some... interesting information.
For example, the genophage was not meant to kill Krogan, just limit their population, for fear that if their population was allowed to grow too large, they would wage war upon all other species in the galaxy.
On the other hand, it's a pretty shitty thing to do.
You also find out that Mordin's former comrade was doing it voluntarily. Which makes Mordin very angry, saying that this wasn't what he taught his former coworker to do, and certainly not the way he taught him to do it. Basically, Mordin is more upset about HOW his former coworker did it than the why. If your Paragon score is high enough, you can stop Mordin from killing them.
By the end, Mordin doesn't seem to really know what he thinks about it any more. A lot of research that was done was at least viable, but it was done under terrible circumstances. You can either destroy the data, or you can save it.
I told Mordin to save it to help the Krogan. After all, the people who died during the research couldn't exactly be brought back by destroying the data.
Basically, in Mass Effect 2, there's a lot of world and culture building, especially in the three missions I've mentioned (Tali, Grunt and Mordin's loyalty missions respectively) and I can see now why people love Mass Effect 2.
The graphics are good, the gameplay is VERY solid, even if there are many other games that have similar gameplay styles (one that sticks out in my mind, oddly enough, is Gears of War, which I have never played but have seen gameplay off, and Shepard charging forward and taking cover definitely makes me think of it) that do it just as well or better, but the world building and culture building of other races in Mass Effect 2, especially with how it was in Mass Effect 2, is just *chef's kiss*
It's definitely gotten me invested enough to keep playing and to go through Mass Effect 3, even though the issues with the ending to Mass Effect 3 are... let's be nice and say 'infamous'.
Basically if you haven't played Mass Effect, I HIGHLY recommend it. While I would say to play the first one first, it DID turn into a bit of a slog near the end, so I wouldn't blame you if you decided to just start from Mass Effect 2 instead.
One last thing, although this is not necessarily as important as the rest of it...
Tali is a precious baby and must be protected and loved and cherished.
Also Garrus is a bro and I wouldn't blame anyone for wanting to romance him.
That is all.

1- "Darkness of the Unknown" from Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD RemixAAAAAAA HELL YEAH THIS FINAL BOSS IS SO GOOD AND THIS THEME KICKS SO MUCH ASS. Kingdom Hearts 2 is a good game buried underneath the horrible trend of making you sit through a cutscene every time you walk into a new room. I JUS' WANT TO 'SPLORE. Oh well. This is my favorite game in the KH franchise, idc how complicated the story is. The soundtrack fucking floors me every time, and the remaster made me fall in love with "Waltz of the Damned," which was my least favorite of the world themes from the original. It's amazing what a little polish can do to a song. BUT OKAY BACK TO THIS SONG SORRY I LOVE THIS GAME. LIKE WOW OKAY THIS SONG HOOKS YOU RIGHT AWAY WITH THAT CHILLING PIANO INTRO, AND THEN THOSE INTENSE STRINGS IN THE SECOND MOVEMENT JUST PUT ME ON EDGE, AND THAT HAUNTING VIOLIN IN THE CHORAL SEGMENT WHEN ALL THE DRUMS HAVE DIED AWAY IS SO FUCKING SAD. UGH. JUST GIVE IT TO ME.2- "Unfortunate Discovery" from Halo CE AnniversaryThis is the song that plays when the fucking reaper comes to take your soul, JFC. Halo CE really knew how to make the Flood fucking terrifying. As much as I love 2 and 3, their representation of the Flood is far less genuinely horrific and chilling, and more just standard alien monsters. Music like this playing when you first encounter them is like something out of Silent Hill or Resident Evil. You don't know what these weird spores are, but there is a lot of them, and OH SHIT THEY CAN REANIMATE THE DEAD OH FUCK. This isn't the kind of song you listen to to jam out. This is the song you listen to when you really want to make someone uncomfortable.3- "Star Wolf's Theme/Sector Z" from Super Smash Bros 4This is not my favorite rendition of either song (those honors go to Star Fox Assault, which is a game I fucking adore and is genuinely moving sometimes). However, this is a solid, competent medley that fits the tone of a Smash Bros. stage, so points for at least fitting the game and being enjoyable!4- "Miro'Zehm" from Mass Effect ProtocolHa, I wrote this one. It's for the Mass Effect Protocol Radio Play that I hope someday comes out of its unfortunate hiatus. Anyway, so this song is actually one of the lazier ones I composed, oops. It's actually the theme of Miro's sister, Rada, except the melody is backwards and the instrumentation is different. Hahah oops. You can tell that it wasn't given as much love as some of the other themes. When I wrote it, I didn't know much about Rada and Miro other than they were Quarian twins and Rada has a crush on my character, Arcos Hollith. Arcos. Nachos. Fritos. Funions. Wait...5- "Gang-Plank Galleon" by GaMetalJONNY ATMA, MY BOY, I LOVE YOU. Jonny Atma is my favorite guitarist of all time. He's so fucking good and I wish he got as much love as some of the other popular Youtube guitarists like Family Jules, Richaad and Little V (all of whom I do enjoy, but not as much as Jonny). This is basically, objectively the best cover of this song (official or otherwise). Fucking amazing instrumentation, incredibly driving drums, and it's just another GaMetal masterpiece.

things that I am enjoying about Mass Effect: Andromeda:
- JUMP JETS. I love jump jets. I use them constantly to rain down hell on my enemies and do my usually-reserved-for-bethesda jumping up mountains thing
-the Nomad is super fun. I didn’t actually mind the Mako, but the Nomad is 200% better.
-research/crafting system works for me, and so does resource mining and all that. habitation/AVP points? Ok, enjoyable. I’m kind of a sucker for setting up places to live as a game mechanic, although see another bullet below for the downside
-tons of quests and they’re not all fetch quests.
- I met the space weed dealers. their notes were great.
- the fact that Mr. X saw me loading up a team of Jaal and PeeBee and said, “uh-huh, that’s your alien orgy team right” and I was able to reply, “you know, that’s actually kind of plausible, canonically, and also yes”
things I am not enjoying:
-the Kett are not-great baddies. blerg.
-the colonization thing... uh... you tried? to address the obvious issues? but not well? ehhh
-facial animations were greatly improved by the time I got ahold of the game, but the character creator still sucked. It seems like it was built for people who didn’t want to bother with character creation.
-combat is okay? it’s not super intuitive and it took me forever to figure things out, yet at the same time it’s a little too easy. I’m lacking the feeling of mastery to satisfy me while also lacking a challenge. Maybe it’s my character build, IDK.
-vault missions are way too easy
-feeling a lot of bro fistbump elements to this game that bug me. not as much as Witcher 3 but it’s there.
-related: everything about Cora
-I understand they made some fixes regarding the transgender character who deadnames herself, which is good? but I guess said conversation wasn’t replaced with anything because actually I’m not sure which character is supposed to be trans, and I’ve met everyone? :/
-WHERE ARE THE HANAR. WHERE ARE THE ELCOR. WHERE ARE THE DRELL. WHERE ARE THE QUARIANS. WHERE ARE THE VOLUS. Okay, it’s nice to hang out with Krogans again but did none of the other species come along besides humans, turians, asari and krogans? Did they not have time to animate the other aliens so they got left in the milky way? Does this new galaxy have only two species one of which is a cannon-fodder baddie? :(
#mass effect#is jaal+peebee+ryder a thing? it should be a thing#haven't decided which one to bang yet#jaal with his shirt off was kind of alarming but that voice#Peebee is growing on me#I think Vetra's out of the running I must have missed a flirt option somewhere
