Before there was Nick and Tara and Darcy, even before there was Tao, or Isaac, or Elle, Charlie Spring had Peri Reyes. His best friend as a child, his sister just as much as Tori, his confidante, his favourite person. They were going to start a band, they used to say, and live together in London, and be best friends forever. Until Peri moved away and, as was so often the case with children, they fell out of touch. Charlie still thought of her fondly, hoping that she was happy, wherever she was, but he knew he wouldn't see her again. He never expected that Peri's parents would get divorced or that Peri and her dad would move back home, right back into the house that had always been more of a home to him than his own. But a lot had changed since he last saw Peri, and she had changed as much as he had, and as much as he hated to admit it, he wasn't sure if there was still a place for them in each other's lives.

VERY IMPORTANT a dam in the Netherlands, the weerdsluis lock, is directly on a migratory path for spawning fish. They have a worker stationed there to open the door for the fish, but they can take a while to open it. So to keep the fish from getting preyed on by birds they installed a doorbell. Only, the fish don't have hands to ring the doorbell. If you go to their website, they have a LIVE CAMERA AND A DOORBELL that YOU RING FOR THE FISH when they're waiting, and then the dam worker opens the door for them! I can't express how obsessed I am with this. look at this shit. oh my god.

Please check on the fish doorbell once in a while :)

Give me Bruce and Jason, who are not on the war path anymore, but they are still awkward and absolutely clueless on how to make things up, so they pretend that they need something from each other in order to spend some time together. Even if these things are absolutely simple, and both of them could handle it themselves, if they wanted to.

Bruce, calling Jason in the random Friday night: So, Alfred left for a week. And I promised kids to do a homemade cake for them. And you know how useless I am in the kitchen. So.

Jason, who knows that Bruce is, in fact, not useless in the kitchen, but low-key misses cooking with him, because the last time they did it, it was Alfred's birthday before his death, and they did the cake together: Theoretically, I agree.

Bruce, sighing in relief: Theoretically, I will need you in Manor tomorrow in the morning. And I theoretically will pay for that.

Jason: Theoretically, see you tomorrow.

Bruce: Theoretically, thank you.
