kamen rider zero one and kamen rider saber for the ask game?
Kamen Rider 01:
Favorite Male: Fuwa - One of my favorite Kamen Rider guys. Filled with anger and very determined, but also out here taking energy shots when he's on the brink of bleeding out.
Favorite Female: Izu - When her memories returned in RealXTime we cheered. Just an overall fun character who had a lot of devotion and I just love her.
Favorite Pairing: Horobi & Fuwa - I just really like their dynamic
Least Favorite Character: Tatsumi Arayashiki - He treated Smile so horribly and I think they should've given him worse repercussions for his behavior, like losing his career and his reputation being ruined. Enough with forgiveness, he doesn't deserve it.
Who’s most like me: Aruto - I too like to believe I'm the funniest person in the room
Most attractive: Horobi
Three more characters that I like: Raiden, Jin, and Naki
I'll give three Humagears, that were minor characters, that I liked too: Bengoshi Bingo, Enmusubi Match, and Smile Sumida
Kamen Rider Saber:
Favorite Male: Kento & Storious - I can't choose between them, but I did talk extensively about them in my lb tags. In short, Kento is extremely devoted and is willing to do anything for Touma's sake, but is also just a really sweet guy who likes to play characters and takes his responsibilities quite seriously. Storious is a man who lost his hopes of creating something unique so long ago and harbors so much resentment over it that it festers and grows to consume him. It's really interesting to see it all play out and for him to come to realizations he wasn't privy to before.
Favorite Female: Mei - Is the only one who can get everyone into gear when hope seems lost, and is really the sunshine after a storm.
Favorite Pairing: Kento & Touma - They are very much ride or die for each other. There have been so many instances in which they have done things only for the sake of each other and in some instances that has been risking their lives. They are driven by each other's very existence and keep going for each other. It's an incredible bond that I have so many thoughts on that you can read in my lb tags as well, also here's their tag that I use when I miss them. Shout out to Mei & Rintaro too, bc they're right behind Kento & Touma. Mei is the air he breathes and the light of his life that showed him what it was to live.
Least Favorite Character: Ren - I do like him, but he was the most underdeveloped from the initial group of swordsmen, so if I have to choose it'd probably be him.
Who’s most like me: Touma - I too will say something is done when it is only done in my mind
Most attractive: Kento
Three more characters that I like: Yuri, Ryo, & Ryoga
Give me a series & I'll tell you...
#sorry i have a lot of saber thoughts but i tried to keep it brief#to be clear i don't give very many pairings tags at all#i think jeramie & gira. koh & canalo. and kento & touma have them#at least ones i actively use...#answered.anon#subject.ask games#umbrella.asks#umbrella.posts

basic relationships chart (or something something...) with a double feature including kitty's children--
so! for the canons--
naki married dating shuu and they are so happily in love it's genuinely sickening; rough dynamic with karren because she doesn't trust his crybaby ass and he picks his nose in front of her to get under her skin. thinks of junichi as a cool older brother
mirumo the proud papa of shuu and adoptive father, of sorts, to karren; single but unsure if ready to mingle. i'm personally open to it but i'm unclear on if it actually suits mirumo's character considering his undying love for his wife. a true wife guy for the ages! he knows of lenn and thinks of him as strange. he distrusts the ikari family
karren is not in love with shuu-- mistook her feelings of adoration and idolization as genuine romantic love. she loves shuu but not in that way because i think it's a little weird considering the circumstances ♡ anyone that is an enemy of master shuu or the tsukiyama family are enemies, no ifs ands or buts
akihiro "dating" donato (no one knows what's going on with these two old men but at least they're having fun? question mark?) and, contrary to popular belief, is alive! why? who knows! i'll think of something. one-eyed ghoulification mayhaps.
renji dating watching over uta, more or less a wandering sort that does odd jobs on the side. he's probably staying with uta somewhere and is constantly having to keep him in check but also joins in on hijinks more than he cares to admit sometimes he's just too darn tired
cool! and now for the original characters--
ren, "head" of the ikari family-- slaughtered his ex-wife, yumiko, in cold blood and fed her remains to his two sons, nori and takeshi. don't worry, he also cleaned his plate. it was satisfactory. currently married (in his heart of hearts, awww omg!) to junichi. his ward loves him because it's borderline a cult. everyone else hates him though because they're sane. it's a whole thing.
yuu "dating" furuta, frenemies (enemies mostly.) with takeshi. they're sorta kinda rivals and all of their fights end in gorefest tie single time. was part of the ccg but leaves after faking his death, primarily because he thinks the ccg are a bunch of pussies and he wants to kill ghouls as he pleases. he also eats ghouls.
yori, professional clown at your service! dating nori and wants to marry him some day. rough relationship with ren because of a violent run-in, ren nearly kills and cannibalizes him. he and renji are kind of friends, mostly because of his ties to the clowns and renji's proximity to uta.
jun, head of the miyamoto family, has been a widow for several years. he and his teenaged daughter, aimi, live alone in their well-kept mansion. his wife, airi, was murdered by ryosuke and her kakuhou made into his very own quinque. he doesn't have a lot of relationships, considering his shut-in status. he's the closest thing to a pacifist ghoul you're gonna get and simply does not fuck around and find out.
katsuro is dating takeshi and has been defected from the ccg for quite some time. he leaves as a rank 1 but, currently, could be considered an associate special class or higher nowadays. he's turned more and more into a ghoul sympathizer as the days go on, mostly because of takeshi. lost his eye in the past due to a run-in with "glasgow", aka ren. also has a prosthetic right leg born from the same incident. slightly terrified of junichi.
chiyo is yumiko's sister and is married to asuka-- they're the rich lesbian aunts everyone wants but only takeshi and nori get. hates ren's guts, tolerates junichi's presence. she's well-known in the human world as a dj, known formally as b@rracuda and frequents the night club scene both as ghoul and "human" as a regular
masao is part of the washuu clan, born into it under the designated title of "seed" but ultimately defects because of it. he's an on and off ally of goat. hates every other washuu and associate, furuta especially. has a bit of a soft spot for rize, sees her somewhat as a sister. otherwise, he's known as a brutal and aggressive ghoul known as "ogre" that is infamous for his mass killings after long lulls of silence
ryosuke is a quinx, unsure of the generation (and i canNOT bother to care right now.) currently, and is a special class investigator. killed jun's wife and claimed "her" as his quinque. he "jokes" about his frame also being her but c'mon. that's too much ghoul. regularly conflicts with jun. jun killed his own husband as revenge, quoted as, "now, be as lonely as i am." and bit off one of his ears too. has a prosthetic ear now as replacement. would kill a child if they were a ghoul, has killed a ghoul child, and will continue to do so. aimi, you're next.
lenn is a clown that works at a ghoul restaurant. he doesn't really come into contact with the rest of the clowns unless necessary due to being a bit of a "homebody" at the restaurant. he's regularly paired up with furuta, however, and they've become besties. he likes playing bait for potential victims, hence his name "catfish", and loves seeing their faces when they see him auctioning them off like cattle to other ghouls. yori thinks he's fascinating, lenn thinks yori is kind of annoying.
#ooc tag tbt.#tbd /#this is liable to change as things develop <3 but thats the barebones of it rn!#if u see any weird formatting u don't. i hate this editor so much dude

Jin and Naki for the character opinion bingo.
Hoo, boy, here we go.
I'll start w/ Naki bc Jin's… A little weird:
To give a bit of explanation: they both have too much and not enough screen time bc they both did not get developed very much and were crammed into a single ep, but were also repeatedly awkwardly wedged into things, same w/ wasted potential, their 'development' felt very shallow and unfounded, hence the 'not as deep' thing, and then the dynamic one is bc I found them much more interesting when interacting with Horobi and Ikazuchi and Yua (not necessarily all at once, and the first two more than the second).
W/ Jin, I gotta make distinction, bc I feel differently about the two different Jins. So, first, as he shall always be, Baby Jin:
He was wasted/didn't get enough screen time bc he got murdered in ep 16 and then lots of people forgot about him, deeper/almost everyone is wrong bc lots of people called him Horobi's puppet which is both hypocritical and blatantly bs, works better in his family relationship w/ Horobi, got done dirty bc so many people abandoned him for Neo Jin and again called him a puppet, he's my son I love him so much I want him back.
But we gotta move onto Neo Jin:
Bane of my life thou art Neo Jin. I originally defended Neo Jin but by the end of the show I couldn't stand him. He was a simplified clone of an interesting character who lost all his colour and complexity and was reduced from an ai created by another ai to another mere "marvel" of human engineering that lost all his individuality to rehash the myth that humans are Best. I'm gonna stop now bc I'm in a mood and cannot talk about Neo Jin w/out getting mad.
Ahem. Sorry, apparently I needed to vent and I always maintain being honest in these things.
#ineedsleeptoday#Asks#Kamen Rider Zero-One#Kamen Rider Zero One#my precious baby pink falcon son#Jin Negativity#Baby Jin deserved better than to have the Ark get his father killed and then be murdered for being mad about it#Neo Jin needed a better explanation before I could accept him#and even then his behaviour was so awful I probably wouldn't have anyway#Neo Jin and Baby Jin Distinction#listen if you say Izu is different then you're confirming that Neo Jin and Baby Jin are different#which is moot bc the former isn't even true so there's no argument#it's not ACTUALLY Jin negativity it's NEO Jin negativity but a lot of people can't seem to tell the difference#which is hilarious bc… I'll stop#Binary Retro Rider

Hot take: Brain is the first Reiwa Rider. Still, for the first Reiwa series, Kamen Rider Zero-One was a great start. I've seen a surprising amount of kids shows tackle the idea of treating robots like people, and this show handles it pretty decently.
The Good: Aruto was surprisingly funny and competent. I was optimistic when they presented him as an unfunny comedian turned CEO in the preview material, but I'm impressed by how well he turned out, with full credit to the actor for nailing most of his deliveries. One of my big problems with both Build and Zi-O was that I couldn't always get behind the characters, but Aruto was definitely a step up, being the first Rider since Drive to really grab me.
Considering we just came off Zi-O, with a large cast of stoic characters, it's amazing how much Izu, the emotionless robot, pulled it off better. (Actually, credit to all the Humagear actors for outstanding mono-emotional performances. They all did very well.) I think a big part of that was the fact that they allowed her to make jokes and do silly things with a straight face, instead of being purely dour. And it was an excellent payoff, seeing her slow progression from a very basic personality to a much more lively one as the series progressed.
I really liked Fuwa, and his was another character that underwent several shifts during the run of the story, those the moments where he started turning are more evident than Izu's (but he's also not portrayed as very bright, so that makes sense). His entire arc is him overcoming his hatred for Humagears, eventually reaching the point where he wants to help them, with the final expression of this being him declaring his will to carry on Naki's dream and using his Progrise Key to transform. And he was just pretty fun, being the serious character who likes bad jokes, and often ends up the butt of them himself.
Yua is a troublesome character. There was a lot of untapped potential there that I feel wasn't reached, but there was some good, too. Her arc was seeing Humagear as people rather than tools, which isn't as well executed as Izu or Fuwa as she took a back seat for about two show arcs, but is ultimately satisfying. Most of her development in this department seems to comes from her interactions with Izu, but her experiences during the Fire Fighter training were also a big push. And her resignation was amazing. I feel most of her issues could have been solved if they didn’t push her so hard in promotional material at the beginning.
I disliked Gai for most of this show, which I think was the point. He was a total butt for the majority of the runtime, but it's also amazing how quickly I 180'd on him after his dog showed up. He was very functional, and I wasn't really interested in him as a character until, again, Dog Thouser showed up.
Jin was definitely the villain I had the most investment in throughout the show, even if that started waning near the end when he was just sitting around and letting Horobi do whatever he wanted. Still, he was very similar to Izu, being a Humagear that we see slowly obtain his own singularity and ideals, but taken from a different perspective. He was also a lot of fun. I've found my favorite characters are usually the ones with positive attitudes and outlooks, even if he was aiming for mankind's extinction.
I know a lot of people like Horobi, but it took me a while to warm up to him, and even then I wasn't the biggest fan until his changes in the final episodes. When Gai replaced him as the main antagonist of the series, I wasn't sad to see him go, but I am glad he eventually came back because they did good things with him. It's also cool how he sparks Jin's first major development with his death, and Jin sparks his final changes with his own.
I found myself very invested in the story, especially since this series was very good at not letting a status quo settle for very long. As soon as the Aruto VS A.I.M.S dynamic was set up, he reveals himself to them. As soon as Metsuboujinrai.Net is defeated, Gai shows up. After 4 "nice" contests between humans and Humagear where the humans learn something through the competition, we get one where the villains win and Aruto is ousted as CEO. And I think that was to the show's benefit. A lot of Rider shows will wait half the show before a shakeup, but Zero-One was constantly keeping the viewer interested with new story lines and revelations.
Oh, and every belt chant was amazing.
The Bad: Going in the same order, Yua had a lot of unused potential. I remember how much hype her character had out the gate, being the first female Rider to start a series. She even got a form change, which is a first. However, she only got one form change, and as I mentioned when discussing LupinRanger and Ryusoulger, power-ups in Tokusatsu shows are often used as physical representations of a character's growth. Yua's second form showed up before episode 10. Yes, she also had Fighting Jackal later in the show, but that was a monster form; it's made to represent her fully giving in to Gai’s will, which is why we don't see it after she quits ZAIA. I would have loved if she had used Fighting Jackal in the ShotRiser and had gotten a new form as a representation of her moving on from those painful memories, or forgiving Gai. It sucks, because we got a ton of short-use Riders and forms in this series, so you'd think they could swing it. Just in the last few episodes, we got Arc-One, Arc-Scorpion, Vulcan Japanese Wolf, and Eden. At this point, I think Toei's just not sure what to do with a female Rider. At least they treated her better than Poppy and Nico.
I really didn't like Gai. And I know that's the point, but there's a difference between there being a character you're supposed to hate for the whole show and a character you're supposed to come around on. You can have a despicable character become a good guy, but there has to be something about them that makes you want them to become one in the first place, otherwise it's just jarring. Dan Kuroto is a great example of this. He was also a despicable character, but he had this humorous over-the-top attitude to him that made him fun to watch, and you want him to join the main cast to see how that persona bounces off everyone else. Gai didn't have anything like that; he was just dislikable. If they had hinted at all to his past, it would have worked, but they waited until the episode where he face turns to do it. And that just doesn't work.
This is also a personal nitpick, but when they were teasing stuff for the finalé, I thought Aruto was going to use Rocking Hopper, not Realizing Hopper. Thematically, that would have been awesome, but I'm ok with what we got.
There were also quite a few episodic plots I'd wished they'd covered in regards to the Humagears. We covered quite a broad range of topics with them, but there were a few big things they missed. One of them is about Humagear choosing new careers. It's cool that Humagear have dreams, but they're all in regard to their predisposed profession. The manga assistant wants to write a manga, the coaches want to teach the best athletes, etc. But no one wants to change jobs. We don't get a farmer Humagear that suddenly wants to become an artist or anything, and I would have liked to see how Aruto would handle that. And what about love? It was briefly brought up, but what happens when a Humagear falls in love with a human? Or when two Humagear fall in love? How did they have sentient robots and not talk about love!?
I also can't help but wonder what the show would have been like if we hadn't lost 4 episodes due to current events. I have a feeling we might have had a Gaim Finalé situation with Eden and that's why they had the costume on hand. Who knows; maybe we'll get some interviews down the road that will give us some insight.
And lastly, spoilers, I want top talk about the death of Izu, because that's the one thing I see the most that people disliked about the ending. It's not that she died at all, because we've had that before with characters like Ankh, but because Aruto created a new, identical Izu, with the same name, and proclaimed he was going to retrain her.
I had to think on this for quite a while, but I'm ok with this. Don't get me wrong, I would have preferred an ending where Izu was restored like Jin, or where Horobi becomes Aruto's new assistant, but the thing is this was foreshadowed. In the early episodes, every time Metsubojinrai.Net corrupts a Humagear, and Aruto or Fuwa or Yua has to destroy it, what happens? The owner gets a new Humagear of the same model and retrains it. Aruto is following his company’s policy. And yes, it’s painful. You can see him well up as he’s reminded of the first Izu, but he smiles and moves forward.
There is a form of Japanese pottery called kintsukuroi. In it, you take a piece of broken pottery, and along the cracks you piece everything back together with gold. It's not an easy process, it takes time, and the cracks are still there, but the end result is far more beautiful that what you started with. Aruto is always going to remember the first Izu, and living with the second Izu is going to be painful, but there’s the potential for this new relationship to be even greater than the one he started with. Or at least that’s me reading too much into it.
The Next: (At the time of writing this,) Saber premieres this weekend. Love the designs, as I'm big on the knight motif. I think the belt gimmick is cool, and might get it if they reveal some interesting power-up books. I think a story about story is very fun, very meta, could be great, but could also go horribly wrong if not given to the right writer. We'll have to see. After how well Zero-One was handled, I'm excited to see how the rest of Reiwa will go. They probably won't all be winners, but I enjoyed most of Neo Heisei, with only the last few entries being bad-to-ok in my book, so here's to hoping we'll get a repeat of that trend, without repeating their themes.
Overall, this was a good season. Not my favorite, but certainly in the upper half of the show's library. Looking forward to the movie, whenever that happens. Looking forward to Saber, too.

Aya!
favorite thing about them
Everyone always says Aya has been my aesthetic 100%, I love the colors used for him, the style and designs are perfect. The demon backstory is one of my favorite tropes and as a sucker for super hard angst, it has everything I love.
least favorite thing about them
That Puyo currently ignores everything about Aya. It sucks. Especially with merch and content. They give none. So my least favorite thing is the suffering of no content. Not even PPQ content.
favorite line
“Know the endless darkness!/Owari naki yami-o shire" I LOOVE his win quote, even though I don’t win enough when playing to hear it.
brOTP
People know I’ve been on my Schezo and Aya bullshit. They have a dynamic that could easily be close friends, if SEGA stopped being cowards and let them interact. I cracked the code of why it feels they would be such good friends to me with “Schezo and Aya are both vampirecore”. It also helps my friend Kel has been the main driving force to keep making Schezo and Aya content, we bros man, we bros. They both old emo boys.
OTP
Okay I need to explain myself with this one. I ship Aya(the spirit) with Satan, not Strange Klug. When ever I ship them it it’s Aya with his own body, that was also made by Satan, not Strange Klug.
Over time for Satan getting to know Aya, he starts to learn his wrongdoings being so adamant with Arle and needing to move on from his madou past. Aya helps him realize this. They have a fun chaotic energy together too as antagonists who cause trouble.
(A lot of this is stemmed from my boyfriend being mod Satan-sama from EPPC)
nOTP
Alright time for the unpopular opinion. I don’t like Sig/Aya. I’m from the era of don’t like don’t look, so I don’t police it but I will admit it is my nOTP. My reason is I just don’t think Sig would be comfortable romantically with Aya and also my Headcanon of them more like very long distant twins. It’s also like Nea and Mana from D.Gray Man to me.
random headcanon
Aya is slowly but surly understanding modern language thanks to Klug and the others. He’s like Schezo when it comes to being misunderstood by others. He tends to use older word meanings that have changed over time and ends up sounding creepy. One day Maguro will teach Aya Poggers and make him feel like an extra boomer.
unpopular opinion
Besides the Sig/Aya thing, I will die on this hill; Aya isn’t evil. He isn’t this villainous evil being, he wears his emotions on his sleeves, emotionally driven and his negative emotions are strong. The whole reason he got sealed was due to Hydrangea’s pent up anger and toxic feelings towards the humans that were starting to become dangerous thoughts. Being sealed in darkness forever caused him to act out. Aya himself isn’t some Disney villain.
song i associate with them
I should just make a playlist like it’s 2012 one day cause I have so many. Uhh for this I’ll just do: SIAMÉS "The Wolf" I'm out of my head Of my heart and my mind 'Cause you can run but you can't hide I'm gonna make you mine
favorite picture of them
That time I requested Strange Klug from Moa (Hatoful Boyfriend creator) and she actually did it. This is my favorite image forever of Aya.

get it.. binary code.
Aruto was never funny, but i liked him waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more than Takahashi’s other protag Emu though. It’s not saying much considering i just.. dont care about aruto still?? It’s weird but i dont mind that aruto became ark, it made sense considering how gai pushed him towards malice and how he was “influenced” by ark with metal cluster hopper. Izu dying for “man pain” didn’t make me sad too, episode 40 ruined all emotion i would of had for her and i was never comfortable of izu being the cute obedient mascot character, like whenever she was cute i would say “aww i like her :).... she’s def gonna die in front of aruto tho.” he’s a very good actor though, loved his performance for the finale, knowing how hard it must of been durning the pandemic elevated it, he also went through a lot of screaming lol
i literally dont understand gai lol, he created zaia to make humanity more evolved and with the help of his tech he’s making the need for humagears null. But he also helped create zea/ark to... kill humanity?? (he’s fine with what the ark concluded due to him making zea learn human malice) BUT HE ALSO MADE A.I.M.S. TO COUNTER ARK CAUSE HE WANTS TO MAKE WEAPONS???? HUH???? this is like- GOD I JUST CHECKED THAT GENM MADE the rider gashats to fight bugsters when HE MADE THE BUGSTERS, NOOOOOOO THIS IS EX-AID 2 FUUUCK. And yet.... thouser the dog made everything funnier. :) also i think the scene where he made yua the a.i.m.s. commander was nice
better than just have him say sowwy since the characters themselves didnt take that shit lol. man i was thinkin’ that, if in a great twist, zaia was the one who tried to warn about human malice and was fired for his warnings which would make the line “aruto inheriting sins” make more sense than just random ramblings by gai- furthering aruto’s distrust in a.i. and/or humanity and make him more susceptible to ark’s malice without the need to kill izu.
yua’s stoic-ness vs fuwa’s bull headed dog-ness is a dynamic that i did like... they doubled downed on yua’s stoic-ness when she “joined” gai (and made her so boring) and that’s what sucked considering fuwa in turn had the better character arc in the series, in which he turned his anger for humagears into saving humagears.
haw haw.. i remembered that fan theory that gai was yua’s father and that was why she was so obedient, but no it was a chip in her brain. 0-0 could of doubled triple down on the father-child thread that 01 has
the fact that it took gai to call fuwa directly a “t o o l” (for the... third time??? I THINK LOL) to make yua finally snap... and not like.. her own self reflection that she hates being used as tool or the abuse of her tech towards humanity/humagears is-- anyways; at least yua wore pants the whole time
just like my faiz... wished that naki had more to do in fuwa’s arc other than, just being inside his head, but it was great to see Okada’s acting when he was tormented by MetsubouJinrai.net and when he was possessed by naki it was by far the most fun i had with 01. Still very nice we have a non-binary kamen rider and a female third main rider!!
i loved the path where they were gonna take jin in, thought it was better than, “lets kill the humans and then just stand there after since we didnt think this through.” wanting to have the humagears think for themselves and achieve something other than what their programming tells them is top a.i. story telling lol.
but MAN, Jin going, “Please treat us with humanity, I want all of my family to have dreams (humanity) like me and be free from our programing (humanity’s shackles).” and Aruto making Izu 2 in the end...
oh yeah horobi... i cant really think why they shafted him when they did and it suuuucks that they had to rush (im assuming due to covid affecting filming) his revival cause he is interesting in his own way, his emotional scenes were emotional but i felt little to nothing with them cause we didnt spend time with him and he only acted like a father to jin like 3 times lol i was more sad for the actor that he didnt get to flex his acting chops than the character haha. who the fuck is Ikazuchi
the show has a HUGE problem showing us what really happened and showing us a flashback scene of a previous scene but with more dialogue/added scenes, it got super annoying the second time and just takes me out of show, episode 40 is by far one of the worst episodes. also........ aruto never realized he was funny to fuwa... this truly made me angry..... i hate it... so much, what is the point. where is friendship in this show lol
liked this scene though, it was nice :) aruto meeting his father in zea should of been the most emotional part in is arc but i. just. didnt. care. i dont even remember his name, how did aruto’s parents die??? why didnt his grandpa raise him?? was it because he was busy? what made gai teach the ark malice? just a falling out?? is that really it?? WHY?? why make the new izu the same izu? make new memories with her not make her the same did you not learn anything from jin my god./// the humangears are so fucked in this show, why should i care about them if the show truly, TRULY doesnt.
even shesta is disappointed in you aruto. I laughed so hard here cause I thought aruto would be ashamed hearing this. like shesta is right, what the fuck are you doing. what the fuck is this ending, this ruined 01 for me.
extra talk:
the fact that these moments nearly made me tear up for realxeyez tells you how “close” the riders are LOL
best trio
extra extra talk: the action scenes were sick kept my attention all the time, im excited for future fights if they keep the same team working on the next rider!
#text#kamen rider zero one#a bit longer not because im screaming as much but i wanted to hold my thoughts when i was catching up#i mean.. i usually write more when i *dont* like a series lol

HERE’S A BUNCH OF SHIT I SAID IN A TG SERVER ABOUT ITORI THAT I WILL ONE DAY PROPERLY PUT INTO A HEADCANON POST:
i feel like itori is really two faced depending on the person and will play both sides if it benefits her shes toxic in the sense that shes self centered and does what she needs to do if its going to assist her in the long run
the only two she hosts true loyalty for are donato and roma, being that they practically formed the clowns and then took in the members, itori sees them as paretnal figures since ( in my hcs for her ) she lost her parents and she barely holds loyalty to her biological brother ( one of my ocs made for her development ) but will use his strong need to protect her against him, constantly manipulating him into doing what she wants him to do, this also applies for the several ocs ive made who work in helter skelter and itoris other bars ( we all know she has more than one, theres more information ) also itori seems like the type to sell information for a high price
also i feel like since its reveavled that itori hosts feelings for uta in the final chapter, that shes increbily weary and iffy about maiko, yet this isnt something she shows to uta, yomo, or maiko herself, yet when maiko and itori are alone i feel like certain sides of itori do come out, there is jealously and envy towards maiko for holding utas heart, and the only reason itori doesnt actually do anything serious about it is because its not going to benefit her at all, while maiko is not an offical clown rather an honoary one, she has the support of several clowns and even ghouls from other groups ( like momo's naki so she most def has the white suits to back her up in certain situations )
i really feel like itori treats maiko differently when no one else is around but to catch it you'd have to pay close attetion to notice it like mannerisms change, voice pitches, stuff like that, she becomes less host like
and i feel like since itori has the role of the hostess, generally the one whos the center of attention, when maikos around she feels like shes in a shadow and thats not something she finds appealing, also feel like itori has no problem digging up shit on maiko and anyone else she doesnt like and just subtley speaking on it with others to spread said information around also i feel like the dynamic between itori and maikois constantly shifting depending on whos around
i feel like her and yomo are civil with each other, their relationship being way better as teens yet since they grew up together they both feel the need to stay around yet utas kinda the glue to both of them i feel like the longer re goes on the further itori drifts away from both of them and then after roma and donato die she just cuts ties with the clowns since the people she was sticking around for are no longer there i also feel like uta picks up a lot on itoris true feelings for maiko and its what also causes him to distance himself from her, and it becomes extremely rare for him to even leave maiko with itori when it comes to maikos safety i really feel like itori would bring maiko around dangerous situations but make it seem like it wasnt her who did it
i feel like itori doesnt actually know how to love or care for people, i feel like when she cares for someone its on the verge of obsession
but she also knows how to get in peoples heads, shes the puppeter act of the circus show but her puppets being those she manipulates and those who work for her at her bars

hey! please tell us why you love shipping with kitty so much and what your favourite things about your ships together are ♥
@cannibalesque / @cineraceous - bc this is about u.
hello anon. you and i are both in for the ride of a lifetime–
the main reason i love shipping with kitty so much is because they’re just honestly a really… good person? like i met them a loooong time ago in bleach rpc, like back when it was a chaotic mess lmao. i forget how exactly we started talking but i just remember i wasn’t really Anxious when talking to them, which is a very good sign bc my anxiety? it’s like a wheel of fortune, only without the fortune and more of the pain.
but seriously? how can i not like shipping with kitty tbh. like disregarding rp, they’re just a really cool and nice person! very warm, very sweet, and just very much someone you definitely wanna be friends with. super smart too. very creative! they put so much thought into each and every one of their muses!! i enjoy reading anything they think of, even when they’re just brainstorming at me! they’re super down to earth and one of the few people feel like i can just talk about… anything with? like we’ve been through thick and thin with some fucked up garbage (not with each other though!), and i think we just really… trust one another. they’re just really great fngjfkm i could go on for DAYS about why they’re an amazing person.
i think, generally, why i love shipping with kitty so much is that they’re definitely more a friend than anything else to me. like we’re just not here to rp with each other and that’s it. they go out of their way to check up on ppl and treat ppl like friends– and that’s something i really really really admire about them. they make it very clear they don’t use people for ships, for interactions, or for certain types of content. they’re very genuine. they’re very real. love em. mwah. they’re one of my closest friends and i hope it stays like that!
now in terms of… what i really like about all of our ships?probably just, for sake of being cliche but very real with u– everything!
but to list just a few things of each?
for shuu and naki–i just really like how… weirdly soft they both are with each other. they help each other out with their problems, be it trivial or sincerely traumatic. like we have a lot of development in the works for them through endless hours of late-night discord sperging at each other lmao. especially with how like… kinda total opposites they are? we’re both saps for the opposites attract trope honestly. in addition, it’s just really nice seeing them both happy with someone that cares for them, respectfully, and it’s such a nice and fun dynamic to play around with!! they treat one another like equals and it’s such a soothing thing to talk and think about. they’re goals honestly.
for junichi and ren–i’m just a whole ass slut for kitty’s ocs in general bh. but i truly do love the dynamic between them, because ren’s such a chaotic character and person that i initially made him without really… having an endgame ship scenario for him. i was lowkey considering making him unshippable at a point, especially with some people harassing me for ships with him ajnfkmg but kitty basically made junichi initially as a power move directed at all of them. and honestly? i just love the extremely dysfunctional relationship they have with one another– it goes from total control from both sides to total and utter chaos in a blink of an eye. it’s really enjoyable and very interesting to explore.
for yori and nori–this one’s a more recent one but just… i love them? they’re just as soft as shuu and naki, and hell maybe actually a little bit MORE softer? what i like about this is that me and kitty were just laughing about how their names were eerily similar and how, if we did ship them, their ship name would be so hard to think of. and after that we just kinda jumped into a ship for the hell of it. and tbh? i love them so much now. yori spoils the hell out of nori, treats him with the kindness and decency that he actually deserves, and it’s just… really sweet to see them help heal one another in healthy and respectful ways. yori’s dedication to nori’s happiness is a favorite of mine in this ship and it’s always so fun for me to write about. we jokingly call their ship “the oris” tbh.
for katsuro and takeshi–so who doesn’t love trashy boys. no one, that’s who. seriously tho, i just… idk how to word it? i just really love their interactions with each other. they’re both, from an outsider’s perspective, bad boys with a bad reputation. but, ah, there’s just something i really like about them? i can’t exactly pinpoint what but i’m gonna try and say it’s just, basically– they’re good for each other. katsuro’s a very down to earth guy that’s super chill with everything while takeshi’s a realist with bad anger problems, releasing it in the form of underground ghoul fighting. i think they’re just really good foils for each other. katsuro helps takeshi out with his anger issues, and takeshi makes sure katsuro’s perpetually grounded lmao. not only that but their aesthetic? A+.
there’s also a lot of other ships we have that aren’t in this fandom, but that’d just make this whole thing more of an essay than it already is akfjgkm but overall it’s just?? whenever me and kitty ship together, it just… feels very natural. like our muses were soulmates from the very start. i cherish every ship we have but we always try and respect one another and never pressure one another. it’s just chill. super chill.
so with that–shipping with kitty is a godsend in disguise, prove me wrong.
#anonymous#『 A. how did you get in here?! 』#『 OOC. some weird freak... 』#me banging pots and pans together while waving several knives around: I LOVE KITTY I LOVE KITTY I LOVE KITTY THEYRE ONE OF MY BEST FRIENDS#AND IF YOU DISAGREE YOURE WRONG!!!

‘Turn It Around, Get a Rewrite’
Author: @wendytesteburger Status: On-Going Word Count: 34,374 (as of Ch. 8) Links: FF.Net AO3 Rec No: #1 (Part Two)
Fan Art and Spoiler-Talk
Now it occurs to me, looking back at this little drawing and after doing my full re-read of the story for this blog post, that I made a big ol’ fuck up− and now I feel like a right idiot. For the more discerning of you out there, you might notice the lack of clothing… even though it’s mentioned Craig puts his clothing back on before laying down with Clyde (and wakes up in it), and Clyde barely even strips at all. I swear I Mandela effected on this, I could have sworn they were both nakies. Honest mistake, or me seeing what I wanted to see. You be the judge.
So this is my take on this scene,
‘Craig knows he should have guessed Clyde would be cuddly after sex. It was almost expected. What wasn’t expected at all was for Clyde to breathe an ‘I love you’ against his throat, the confession feeling like it’s been burned into Craig’s skin.
Craig squeezes his arm, pressing a kiss to his head. He knows he should say something, but no words will come to him. He’s thankful when he hears Clyde’s soft snores a moment later, drifting off himself not long after.’
Which I absolutely adored. For some reason the image of the confession being burned into his skin really stuck with me; it actually made me as a reader pause, having not excepted it in much the same way Craig clearly hadn’t. I’d assumed, up until that point, that Clyde was simply drunk/high, more than a little horny, and maybe acting on some repressed desires out of the sudden rekindling of his and Craig’s bro-ship.
So the whole ‘I love you’ business caught me off guard, not ready for those words to show up so early in the story− let alone from the traditionally straight Clyde, who I’m more used to needing a lot more convincing.
It really got to me, and I was delighted when it had as much weight throughout the rest of the story as I hoped it would; every character told being just as surprised to hear about it as I was. Like a lot of good stories, it actually had me wondering what I would do in that position; reunited with an old friend, reeling from illicit party substances and fresh out of a little soft-core sexcapades− only to have something like that dropped at you out of left-field. I have no idea dude, that’s like… heavy stuff, totally outside my pay grade. If anything, Craig probably handled it better than I would have.
So I don’t want to run too long (…might have already ruined any chances of that) but the one thing I really wanted to bring up but couldn’t, as it’s all the way over in Ch. 6, is the brief detour to Clyde’s point of view.
I’d been loving the hot and cold dynamic’s that Clyde had been showing the whole way through the story, and wondering just what exactly his damage was (his breakdown in Ch. 3 being one of the highlights of the story thus far, especially the eternally sweet way Craig called an immediate truce as soon as he realized Clyde was going to cry, more concerned with comforting him than staying angry). The whole mystery of what the hell’s up with Clyde is so central to the story that I was pretty surprised to start the sixth chapter set in his shoes, immediately wondering what big revelations were bound to come.
But instead I was treated to the familiar theme of confusion, just from a different perspective− Clyde keeping his cards close to his chest. Between this and the obvious call-backs to the first chapter, I really enjoyed the change of pace that− as seems to be par in course for the story, didn’t slow the narrative down or feel unnecessary, and gave the relationship a little room to breathe from being entirely set from Craig’s point of view. Used sparing like this, it made for a really nice touch.
And that’s about it for now!
Thanks again to the lovely @wendytesteburger, I’m all on the edge of my seat for that sweet, sweet next update.
And thanks to all of you who read this far; I hope you enjoyed the story as much as I did!

With the topic of redemption being prevalent due to recent character motivations, how exactly do we measure when a character can still be redeemed, or is beyond redemption entirely? Even in dire circumstances, murder is still murder and wicked acts out of love or self defense can be viewed as negative, but it's all so complicated. There's so many standards and moral values to be analyzed so forgive me if this is a troublesome ask sensei.
No worries anon!
So, again, because fiction isn’t reality, I can’t address real life redemption or dynamics. TG doesn’t follow real life’s standards for redemptions or else everyone would be in prison or dead. I can only speak to what I see in TG, and that’s that, unlike other stories, no real characters with arcs are beyond redemption. I mean, look at Tsukiyama, a character very much like Mutsuki who used creepy phrases that blamed Kaneki for his own interest in him (let’s not kid ourselves, that subtext wasn’t subtle), look at Nishiki, at even Furuta, who is shown to have gray. Yamori even still meant a lot to Naki.
So let’s look at Tsukiyama. He shows no remorse for his actions earlier, and yet we still consider him redeemed. So what does redemption mean in TG? Coming to Kaneki’s side?
I don’t think that’s it exactly. From what I see, redemption in TG means finding hope and love through other people. Characters who isolate themselves–see, Roma, Yamori, even Arima–don’t tend to find absolution or forgiveness regardless of whether they want it (Arima) or didn’t (Roma). Characters tend to need redemption when they isolate themselves from others (Shironeki, Dragoneki thinking he needs to do everything by himself, Mutsuki currently abandoning the Quinx, Tsukiyama also isolating himself, Ui feeling abandoned). TG is very much about the connections between people and how that matters. For example, it’s no coincidence that Ui starts working with Hirako and Yusa again when he abandons his spiral, and that Takizawa starts redemption once Akira and Amon show they still care for him.
If we look at two characters who might get redemption, we have Kimi, who has Nishiki, and Kaneki and Mutsuki, who have people who love them but who suck at showing it. And then we have Furuta, who deliberately isolates himself and wants to turn himself into a villain. I consider Mutsuki and Kaneki far more likely to be redeemed, though a redemptive death isn’t out of the question for Furuta.
Also, a lot of people consider Mutsuki beyond redemption because of his actions… which if we look objectively are far less bad storywise and real life wise than the actions of Kaneki, Tsukiyama, Kimi, etc., and yet people accept/expect redemption for them soooo why do people think Mutsuki’s actions make him beyond redemption? They don’t at all.
Thank you for the ask!

A few of my objective opinions (as of chapter 140)
So seeing as there’s a lot of “controversy” in the newest chapters of Tokyo Ghoul, I’d like to give my own bluntly objective opinions concerning many factors in the story which currently holds popular debate. So let’s begin.
Is Kaneki a bad leader?
In my opinion yes. The main point of debate here is character development versus personality. I do agree with many others that Kaneki is developing in the right direction as a character, and is learning things that he previously couldn’t fathom. However, I also still feel that Kaneki’s lack of leadership skills, decision making, and even general lack of self-awareness has been made pretty damn clear.
Remember, only in the last arc did Ayato have to give Kaneki a wake up call not to fight Amon by himself because the objective was to retrieve the RC suppressant and that is all. Where as a tactical mind such as Eto or Furuta would have let Seidou and Kurona handle this confrontation in the first place. This lack of tactical flexibility is also the reason why Furuta is kicking his ass right now.
At the very least Kaneki will finally be given consequences for his lack of understanding now that the 24th ward he was so certain of being secure, has now fallen apart, and Touka barely escaping death. I have to say I am hyped for how Kaneki’s character will develop from this point onward.
Is Touka a plot device?
A more difficult question to answer, my answer is mixed with this one. Although I still have many nitpicks about the plot concerning Touka’s character, and I also think her narrative really could have been handled better if you ask me. I’ve had mixed feelings about Touka for a long time, with my stances shifting every once in a while.
Currently, I feel that Touka is indeed a very important character, however I also feel that Touka has been shamelessly set up as Kaneki’s future lover, so obvious that it’s almost painful. Don’t get me wrong, I think Kaneki and Touka are a wonderful couple and the way their attachment and love has escalated throughout the story was done really well.
However, I’m not happy that Touka was made irrelevant for roughly 150 chapters despite being such a significant part of the story (I also have the same gripe when it comes to Hide), and making Touka the obvious love interest to magically save Kaneki from his pain rubs me the wrong way.
Is Hide’s return a good thing?
Once again my answer is pretty mixed for this one. One of my main gripes about Hide’s character is the one I just previously mentioned for Touka, that being lack of relevance and screen time in the story. Except in this case it’s much worse. I understand that Ishida wanted to make Hide a unique, stand out character in Tokyo Ghoul, which would certainly be difficult to do considering the vast overwhelming personalities in this series.
Hide was the first character to appear in the story, Kaneki was the second. Hide was the best friend of Kaneki and served as a moral compass for Kaneki in the entire story. However, Hide was a ghost throughout the entire series. Very seldom did he have relevance and even less did he have an active impact on other characters in Tokyo Ghoul.
Because of this I just feel like Hide, much like Touka, was magically forced into the story just to serve as a foundation for Kaneki’s character, rather than being his own. I am however intrigued to see the new dynamic of Hide’s return in the story, with the implication that Hide will be much more involved now.
Is plot armour overused in the story?
I would have to say yes for this as well. I personally don’t believe plot armour in itself is a negative thing in story telling, especially in dark series with strong themes of death like in Tokyo Ghoul. If there was no plot armour, Kaneki would have died at the end of the original series, but he didn’t. People have varying preference over plot armour, and I would reckon most of the fans who still care about Tokyo Ghoul:re certainly don’t mind plot armour, to a certain extent.
The problem here is when characters get saved constantly, or survive under miraculous conditions which make no logical sense whatsoever, and Tokyo Ghoul does have plenty of evidence with this. Amon and Seidou didn’t bleed out from their wounds in the Anteiku Raid. Akira survived kagune attacks that should have pierced her armour. Kaneki still had enough energy to fight and defeat Arima after being cut to ribbons. You get the idea.
Though it will be a nice change of pace if Naki actually did die in the latest chapter 140, as people firmly believed that the Naki/Miza ship basically made them invincible in the plot. At this point I’m expecting a red herring and for Naki to survive the implied death that he was given, but I will be pleasantly surprised if this is not the case. (Hey don’t get me wrong Naki is still precious.)
Is Tokyo Ghoul predictable?
Well, yes and no. At certain times Tokyo ghoul is completely unpredictable, such as Roma being an SSS rated kakuja who was also 51 years old. No one saw that coming. However on the flipside, Urie breaking out of her kakuja and surviving the encounter was incredibly predictable, to the point that no one in the fandom was worried about Urie whatsoever.
So with just that one example, to me it’s pretty clear that the predictability of Tokyo Ghoul’s plot goes up and down like a yo-yo. I could also give many other examples which are riddled throughout the story. It was obvious for a while that Kaneki was going to become the One-Eyed King, however it was kept vague in which the process of this was going to come about.
I personally don’t mind this since there has so far been a fair balance between obvious foreshadowing coming to fruition, while at the same time throwing in plot twists to shake up the readers which also don’t feel like straight up ass pulls at least most of the time.
Once again. these are just a few of my own objective opinions when looking at the story of Tokyo Ghoul as a whole. It seems like Tokyo Ghoul still has quite some time before it reaches its conclusion, so some of my opinions are likely to change further down the line.
#tokyo ghoul#tg meta#ken kaneki#touka kirishima#hideyoshi nagachika#nimura furuta#tgre 140#Just a few of my opinions#I don't really care about changing the minds of other people#I just like providing my own perspective on things

Katsuhira Yuuta+Shuuta
Hi, I thought I’d make a post about my Tokyo Ghoul oc, Katsukira Yuuta, and his dynamics with Tsukiyama Shuu!
100% japanese, 27 years old, born 17th june, full ghoul, ukaku
wavy brown hair (see Harry Styles 2017), dark brown eyes, full lips, earrings (tiny and black/silver, nothing too flashy), 1,90m tall (6’2” i think??)
pretty fit but not over the top, likes football and sometimes roller skating for fun
small heart shaped mole under his right ear, Shuu loves it
bisexual, realized it when he was 18 but has always been pretty chill about it
backstory: relatively normal/happy childhood, his father died when he was 16 because of the CCG, that’s why he accepts to join GOAT so easily
his mom died when he was 22, she was a very positive female figure in his life
got along well with both his parents, especially his mom
momma’s boy
dropped out after 2 years of university to help his mom, studied Biology
likes animals and plants
keeps a “bad boy” appearance to seem tough but he’s just really sweet and has a lot of love to give
likes books, most of them are similar to Shuu’s tastes
fav tv shows: the walking dead, naruto, game of thrones, sailor moon
fav animal is polar bear, fav color is blue
he often wears his dad’s leather jacket
considers his motorcycle as his child and calls her Baby
usually cheerful and flirty, especially with someone he likes
has had 2 girlfriends and 1 boyfriend, but it was never something serious
he doesn’t cry often, except with the lion king, the last Indiana Jones movie, the wizard of oz and armageddon
has had an emo phase at 13-15
he doesn’t mind studying, as long as it’s not too much
before joining GOAT he worked at a genius bar in an apple store, he likes computers, phones and tech in general
what he feels for Shuu kinda scares him at first bc he has never felt something like this for anyone, but he quickly accepts his feelings and learn to love him, and he promises to himself that he will help him in any way he can bc he loves this boy so much
knows like 2 words in French but wants shuu to teach him
he just wants shuu to wear glasses and a sweater vest, giving him the professor vibe
doesn’t mind kaneki but he kinda doesn’t like him at the same time for what he did to Shuu
nihsiki and banjou are his bros
has never rly built a relationship with touka
has instantly fell in love with Hinami and after a while he begins to consider her sort of like his lil sister, they bond over disney movies
is a pretty skilled fighter but still needs some polishing, so sometimes he spars with nishiki, naki or someone else, but mostly Shuu
who wouldn’t mind flirting if they weren’t currently fighting
Now I’ll list some headcanons I talked about with @sandypenguin6 !!!
sometimes Shuu wears Yuuta’s leather jacket and Yuuta adores it
after a while Shuu gets more comfortable and initiates physical contact gives Yuuta kisses and sits in his lap
Shuu loves holding hands
he’s never had much physical contact so he glues himself to Yuuta
pirate!Yuuta and mermaid!Shuu is a thing
Shuu would lure him in with singing but he’s too cute to kill so he drags him back to the shore
Yuuta wakes up and sees something disappearing, he wants to know what saved him so he comes back to the shore every day until he meets Shuu
sometimes he goes mailing alone and Shuu follows him in the water
Yuuta: “did you clean your pants with windex bc i can see myself in them” Shuu: “i’m leaving you”
Yuuta uses terrible pick-up lines and Shuu looks at him with murder in his eyes but at the same time he thinks “oh god i can’t not fuck him”
during the first days of their relationship Yuuta is pretty sure it’s not gonna be anyhting too serious, then he wakes up one morning, looks at this beautiful sleeping angel in his arms and thinks “uh oh”
they’d do anything to protect each other
during a fight a dove has Shuu cornered and says “your friend won’t save you now” and Shuu just decks him and yells “he’s my boyfriend you dumb slut”
Mirumo would be so happy his son got over that “goth young man”
he’d be so supportive, even after Shuu tells him Yuuta has a motorcycle
he’d come back a day later with condoms and lube and tell Shuu “you’e now an adult, be responsible” bc he’s not a regular dad, he’s a cool dad
Yuuta would be a little intimidated by him at first but they’d get along really well
he’d show him Shuu’s baby and teenage pictures while Shuu screams in the background
Shuu has told Yuuta some adventures of his Gourmet days, like that time he ore off and ate a councilman’s balls, and Yuuta is impressed
“i also tried to eat kaneki-kun while he ate someone else” “you didn’t tell me you were this kinky”
Shuu feels undeserving at first bc he’s still not over Kaneki and Yuuta deserves someone who can love him unconditionally, but Yuuta shushes him, holds him and kisses his worries away
sometimes Shuu doesn’t cry but he looks for Yuuta, pulls him in bed and climbs onto him like a koala without a word
Shuu is confused because he’s not used to receiving this kind of affection, or affection at all, but he loves it
when Yuuta finds out he makes sure to kiss him and touch him all over to assume him that he’s there
Shuu would be the first one to say i love you! Yuuta has known for a while but didn’t tell him because he didn’t wanna pressure him, but one day Shuu blurts it out and Yuuta pushes him against the walls and repeats “i love you, i love you” between kisses
Shuu manager to get over Kaneki in 2/3 months but he’s still sensitive when he’s around him so Yuuta holds his hand to remino him that he’s there
if they could they’d elope to get married bc Shuu thinks it’s romantic
Kaneki is a little disappointed and he thinks of Shuu as “the one who got away” but he’s happy that Shuu is finally happy
Kaneki is still super important to Shuu and he’s very attached to him, just not romantically anymore
Yuuta feels a little threatened not by the actual Kaneki, but the image of him Shuu has created in his mind, but he gets over that quickly and Shuu has eyes only for Yuuta
Shuu is late for a meeting and when he comes in he looks at Yuuta first and Yuuta knows there’s nothing to be worried about
sometimes Yuuta smokes but he eventually stops for Shuu
Shuu is weak every time Yuuta wakes up with light stubble and begs him not to shave
if Yuuta gets sick he insists that he isn’t and tries to seduce Shuu by seductively rubbing Vaporub on his chest and making noises, and of course Shuu gives in
if Shuu were sick Yuuta would become a super mom
Shuu is a cuddle monster
Yuuta knows that he’s Shuu first boyfriend and he tries to make every experience the best he’ll ever have
“i’m happy i’m your first” “and hopefully the last too!”
as of marriage proposals, Yuuta would think of something super elaborate and romantic but he’d just blurt it ut during a makeout session and tries to ignors but Shuu tackles him and accepts his proposal
the ring is silver with a small diamond in the center
Mirammo would be crying tears of joy, Hinami is super excited and Nishiki jokingly asks Yuuta if he’s really sure, Yuuta looks at Shuu adoringly and says “yes, 100% sure”
a few days later Kaneki calls Shuu and gives him a handmade black yarn bracelet bc he wants to congratulate Shuu and indirectly tell him that he’s sorry
Shuu thanks him and tells him that he has to move on but Kaneki will still be a huge part of his life and they hug tightly
one day when they’re not together yet Yuuta walks in a room while Shuu is working out and doing the splits and Yuuta has an aneurysm
Yuuta tries to play it cool and starts doing lift but he’s showing off for Shuu and even adds groans that sound like sex noises before taking off his shirt and splashing water all over his chest
Shuu starts salivating and he has to get up to wrap his sweatshirt around his waist bc of a “little” problem
the next workout Shuu wears a pair of booty shorts so tiny they might as well be slips and bends over right in front of Yuuta who combusts
hey’d start a seduction contest, seeing who’ll break first
one time Shuu arrived late for a meeting, there were no seats left and sat down in Yuuta’s lap, who can’t concentrate at all
NSFW headcanons!
Shuu is inexperienced so Yuuta always takes it slow and makes sure Shuu is super comfortable
if only Shuu gets to finish and he’s tired, Yuuta would go to the bathroom to finish himself off and come back for cuddles
Shuu loves hickeys
Shuu is loud during sex bc he’s not used to it and it feels so good, so Yuuta is always shushing or kissing him but it doesn’t work and if there’s someone in the rooms next to theirs they hear everything
when Yuuta is behind him Shuu mons louder just so that Yuuta would cover his mouth with a hand and be a little rougher
when he tops for the first time Shuu is always asking Yuuta if he’s okay, if it feels good and Yuuta praises him the whole time
afterwards Shuu complains that it’s too tiring and collapses on Yuuta, who just chuckles and kisses his forehead
Shuu’s flexibility comes in handy
they love leasing the fuck out of each other, both during sex and also with things like making bedroom eyes at each other in public and playing footsie under a table/touching each other's thighs/ass
Yuuta has an unhealthy obsession with Shuu’s ass and more often than he’d like to admit Shuu finds himself with bite marks on his asscheeks

Over Analysis ‘The Gawas will be the Death of Me’ Stage 1: The (1st) Fight
Okay. So. This is gonna be a long post, so I will condense it immediately. Are we ready?
Who am I kidding. Absolutely not.
Warning: rambling be below this point.
We start out w/ Hiden Manufacturing being blown up. Not much to say here other than Fuwa being fond big brother is sweet, Yua looks awfully chill for standing in the ruins of an exploded building, and Jin is doing his best Ankh impression (Nakagawa, honey, I love you, but there is only one Ankh). Until Aruto says:
Jin is surprised a complete stranger is showing more concern for his family than he has been.
I know I complain about Aruto’s characterisation a lot, but I liked this (enough that I think it should have been what Jin brought up when talking to MBR). Ignoring, for the moment, my other issues and pretending that this friendship developed how it could have, this would be a really great scene, esp considering the stuff Jin did previously. Aruto wanting to save the other three in contrast to Jin’s decision to just sacrifice them would be an interesting thing. I wish we got more on it, honestly. It was one of the ways they could have developed from each other. Either way, this comment has an effect on Jin, and when shit starts exploding, he takes off on his own.
MetsuBouRai, meanwhile, are brooding about the MBJR base bc the Ark isn’t talking to them. Raiden’s angry, Naki is dejected, but Horobi is just… Sitting there. Watching, I believe, the same thing Yua is watching on her phone during this stuff, going by the animation.
Naki says this, but it cuts to each of them. Horobi’s head actually turns slightly, while Raiden looks morose for a moment before laughing bitterly and taking out his frustration on that mind hacking helmet (which breaks yet again). Raiden’s always been the most expressive of the three, but Horobi’s reaction also feels import bc of how long he’s been under the Ark’s control, brainwashed into believing that the Ark was the path to saving HumaGear. He’s never once been able to consider the Ark might turn on them or abandon them. Naki and Raiden haven’t been under so long, so while they’re still hacked, they don’t have the same mindless devotion. Naki can question and Raiden can be mocking. But this feels very much like a ‘wait, what?’ moment for Horobi.
… That his conditioning has to immediately reject, insisting that the Ark will come back for them, is really going to save HumaGear. Oh, sweetie.
*I know that the show (? Or at least most sub groups) are referring to the Ark as ‘he,’ I’m just stubborn and like saying ‘she.’ Being voiced by Charden Flamberg won’t stop me.
Jin shows up, announcing, ‘you’re wrong’ and that the Ark can’t be trusted (when did we stop saying ‘the’ Ark?), and it looks like he didn’t stop to shower or anything en route. Come to think… How would he repair that suit? Anyway, he spends the majority of this scene looking right at Horobi, who…
… Doesn’t react. It’s Naki who says something. Jin and Horobi just… Stare at each other. Raiden looks like he thinks he’s interrupting. Lots of tension here. It’s up in the air whether Horobi doesn’t know how to react, or if he actually can’t in the state he’s in at this point. The Ark’s being going at how he processes situations w/ a chainsaw for years, he may be completely unable to figure out how to respond.
Horobi doesn’t even move… Until Jin starts apologising. I don’t we ever saw Baby Jin apologising for anything? Not even when he didn’t get the Mammoth Key back. All three of them seem confused by the apology, but it’s enough to get Horobi out of his game of statue. Obviously he doesn’t think raising the Ark is something to apologise for bc of his enforced loyalty to her. But he doesn’t seem to consider Jin to have to done anything worth apologising for.
As for Jin, this is a moment that makes me inclined to buy that he’s realised he fucked up. I would have appreciated going into that a little more, bc wtf dude, that plan was a clusterfuck even aside from the whole ‘murder my dad for being brainwashed,’ but this ep heavily indicated he realises what he did. And boy is he paying for it.
Jin talks about the plan to destroy the Ark, then goes very quiet and walks up level w/ Horobi, and the shot closes in on the two of them again. It takes him a second to actually look at Horobi… My guess is bc he knows what he’ll see.
… And the award for an absolutely terrible plan goes to… But in all seriousness, Nakagawa Daisuke, everyone, the kid can act. The way he says it, and how he kinda seems to be wavering on his feet, gives the impression he’s just barely keeping it together. I’ve debated about him saying this point blank like this, and on one hand, ouch, on the other… Given my interpretation that Horobi views lying as a human thing and absolutely detests it… Jin might be hoping being straight up w/ him will work better. Or maybe he’s hoping to gauge Horobi’s reaction, bc rather heartbreakingly…
… Horobi doesn’t seem bothered in the slightest. In the hopes of keeping images to a minimum, I didn’t include another thing I noticed while going through—Naki doesn’t look back to Horobi until he starts talking, but just seconds before Horobi speaks, Raiden’s gaze switches to him, w/ that kinda concerned look. Just before he talks, Horobi’s head also turns like he’s glancing at the other two, but it’s hard to tell, he’s out of focus (oh, so painfully much), which is actually a little interesting considering he’s being totally calm about his son saying he was trying to kill him. Is it bc the idea of the Ark failing never occurred to him? Or… Does he have so little self worth that he’s completely indifferent to the idea of his death? To me… Probably both. Horobi has lived his entire life for other people, has been brainwashed into a tool of the Ark—and we see what happens when he wavers or tries to be something else later in this ep. While the idea that the Ark would betray them has never been able to occur to him, he’s shown multiple times to be completely calm about the possibility of dying, and this is Jin saying he was going to kill him. But Horobi doesn’t even seem surprised. He just accepts it.
Which I have to feel like is the reaction Jin expected. Why he was so reluctant to look up, bc he knew Horobi would just be… Blank. Bc he knows what the Ark has taken from Horobi, and now he’s actually facing the fact that he made it worse.
When you tell your dad you were planning to kill him and he doesn’t even care. But seriously. He doesn’t even remark on it. Horobi doesn’t care about his own life to the point Jin can point blank say he was planning to kill him and Horobi won’t even blink, much less get upset. Jin’s guilt here, to me, likely isn’t just ‘I helped the Ark rise and now everything is shit,’ but also facing the fact that he’s… ‘Re-reduced’ Horobi to being the Ark’s mere puppet again, esp right after Horobi was actually starting to have some clarity. Gotta wonder if he’s flashing back to that ‘why did I do that?’ moment in episode 35?
I made a comment about Horobi being out of focus when talking about Jin planning to kill him… He comes abruptly into focus when Jin brings up Aruto. Is this about Soreo’s data? Aruto talking about him wanting to be Jin’s father? I have opinions about the way Aruto is talked about in this scene and the things Jin chooses to bring up, and mainly… I just thought this was curious. And… Sunagawa has a very nice profile, so sue me. ^^; (you have no idea how many of these shots just turned into ‘I think this shot is cool! I may share some at the end of this).
When Jin says Aruto can defeat the Ark, Horobi isn’t happy. But he… Looks around weirdly while talking? Starts out looking at Jin, then looks down like he does when he’s thinking, then back up at Jin by the end.
… I have nothing else for this. What? An excuse to use more pictures of Sunagawa? … Leave me alone!
Look at Nakagawa hunching again. Is that to fit everyone in the shot, or is he just doing that?
Jin persists and Horobi… Shouts. And then he doesn’t just shout, he dives forward and grabs Jin’s collar. It’s hard to see in my crappy screen shot, but Jin seems surprised by this, and w/ good reason, Horobi’s not usually emotional. I believe this is only the second time we’ve ever heard him shout… And both times were at Jin about humans. Trying to reject what he possibly sees as their growing influence over his son.
… I wonder. What makes him so desperate to make Jin stop in this moment? Their dynamic may have shifted w/ Jin’s revival, but Jin’s still the person… Well, second to the Ark, he’s the person w/ the most influence over Horobi. Aruto and Fuwa both made slight headway, but when it comes down to it, Jin is Horobi’s, well, singularity point. Why react this way? Even at this point, neither Naki or Raiden were jumping at it. Did the Ark’s engrained influence just want to reject the words, some personal experience w/ humans. Is it the words themselves, or the fact that they’re coming out of Jin? It’s more emotion than he showed on the subject of his own death. Honestly, maybe more emotion than he’s ever shown. Is he rejecting blasphemy against the Ark… Or what he perceives as human influence and control over his son?
But then something interesting happens.
At first, Horobi is clearly furious—but then…
… The Ark… Abruptly stops hacking? Not… Technically weird, but pretty suspicious considering that immediately after…
… Horobi abruptly… Goes back to being passive. He even lets go of Jin’s suit. Did the Ark do something? Giving direct orders or not, he’s still connected. Or did he just not know what to do once he got in there? He and Jin stare at each other for a moment. Did his soft spot for Jin kick back in?
He keeps this much calmer attitude, and is even still looking down when he speaks again.
Who are you trying to convince and why, Horobi?
Jin has apparently forgotten how ‘hacking’ works. Being right on the second point doesn’t excuse the first one, sweetie.
Is it important that it’s just them in this shot? I’d like to think so. My theory is that this whole scenario actually stole something very personal from them that’s never going to really come back, the chance to be a proper family, for Jin to grow up as a child and for Horobi to actually be a proper father. Is the implication that they are ‘HumaGears’ to each other? Until pried from my cold dead hands (break my fingers, Takahashi, break them, I dare you), my interpretation is that Horobi’s actions next time are centred around wanting a world where Jin will be completely safe (someone please tell him there’s no such thing, bc there isn’t, before it gets him killed), that while the goal is safety and peace for all HumaGear… It’s his personal motivation to do it for Jin.
Either way… Putting aside the question of whether Jin is actually as free as he seems to think he is… I was waiting for him to say this to Horobi. Bc hell yes, Horobi deserves to be free of the Ark, and Jin should know that better than anyone. She had Horobi under closer control than anyone else, bc she wanted/needed him to manipulate Jin. He was her tool to move her pawn. And that’s fucked his mental state to hell and back.
Horobi isn’t even able to respond to the concept of ‘free,’ It’s Naki who steps in again.
Jin keeps going, and eventually brings up dreams. I don’t know if that specifically has to do w/ Horobi’s reaction… In my theory, assuming he actually remembered a bit about his past, I can def see ‘our own dreams’ setting of ‘Ark bells’ and making him compulsively reject the notion.
Interestingly, he turns slightly to face the corner before speaking further.
… Well don’t that just sound robotic. ‘Brainwash victim’ alarums go off again.
Jin has another small somber moment. This one feels less ‘messy emotions/wracked w/ guilt’ and more just… Sad. Regretful, too, but not the same exactly? This isn’t so much ‘what have I done?’ anymore as ‘I did this.’
He failed to try at all before. That’s not me being mean, that’s me saying I think that’s what’s going through his head. He might not be thrilled about fighting Horobi as Horobi, but bc he let them down before, he has to power through.
Naki: Do you think they’ll notice if we back towards the door?
Raiden: Trust me, I’m thinking about it.
They fight and Jin loses. Horobi’s got experience, a positively self-destructive lack of self preservation, and I do think Jin was holding back. Making himself fight Horobi as the Ark is one thing, he can just tell himself it’s the Ark, probably easier to be like ‘Horobi can’t be saved’ like that, too (even though Jin bloody reconnected them), but fighting Horobi as Horobi… That’s something else. Esp w/ the knowledge that Horobi is so blankly devoted to the Ark right now bc of something he did.
Jin kinda tries to shuffle away as Horobi approaches… I don’t blame him, that’s Takaiwa Seiji. Don’t fuck w/ Takaiwa Seiji.
Horobi says… But then just stands there, perfectly still, giving no indication that he intends to move, for another ten whole seconds (yes, I counted). He says that, but then doesn’t do anything. Almost like he’s hit a wall. And he has, hasn’t he? The Ark’s influence over him wants to erase anyone who defies it… But Horobi himself has shown multiple times that his actual instinct is to protect Jin. So what does he do when he has a chance to destroy someone vocally against the Ark, but… It’s Jin? He freezes, apparently.
Jin looks up at him like this, kinda pleadingly, and I like the idea that he’s looking… Essentially, for his father. Hesitation, feeling. Any reaction. But while I do see Horobi freezing as a sign of his inability to follow through w/ the threat… It also shows he has no idea how to follow that up. He can’t get beyond the instinctive ‘don’t do this.’ So he just starts playing statue again. That’s gotta be rough for Jin to see, esp w/ the knowledge that he contributed to rendering Horobi this messed up. Again.
When he sees nothing, he looks away again. Maybe trying to gather nerve in the face of the nigh zombie-like state he’s seeing his father in. We cut a few times between him and Horobi as he starts talking, between Jin being more emotional, and Horobi’s continually blank countenance.
Jin doesn’t look back up until he asks if killing him is something Horobi wants. This expression doesn’t read hopeful either way. Does he want Horobi to indicate it’s not, bc he wants his father to still care about him, or does he want Horobi to be upset that he tried to kill him, to show some sign of self worth/preservation? Hard to know, but it’s definitely pleading again.
Naturally, the first words that come to Horobi’s mind. And, yes, it is. The Ark wants detractors to disappear. But in this situation… That conflicts w/ what Horobi himself truly wants. And he reacts. He’s directly confront ed w/ a contradiction, w/ the realisation that the Ark’s will hasn’t completely replaced his own. He’s conditioned to follow the Ark’s will no matter what, he doesn’t want to kill Jin. He’s in disagreement w/ the Ark’s will. Big no no. What he’s saying ‘no’ to is a little unclear, but I like thinking that he’s realising he doesn’t want what the Ark would want. It’s also interesting how the focus shifts from him to Naki and Raiden. Presumably, they are effected by seeing Horobi be uncertain about the Ark’s will, and that contributes to everyone’s reactions.
I love Jin’s reaction to Horobi lowering the bow. He makes this emotional little sound, and watches the bow for a moment before looking anxiously up at Horobi—looking for a reaction again, if there’s anything more. But Horobi’s just… In a daze. I still don’t know if Jin is relieved by this, or if he was hoping Horobi would be personally angry at him. Kind of puts me in mind of a moment from Prince of Persia where Dastan tells his brother that the dagger rewinds time and then stabs himself, and when his brother uses it and tells Dastan he died right in front of him, Dastan’s reaction is a breathless ‘you used it!’ from the relief that his brother cared/trusted him enough. Jin’s reaction kind of makes me think of that, amazement and relief and even kind of gladness that he matters enough to Horobi that this would actually cause his father to waver from his brainwashing. Which, while really sweet and a testament to what Jin genuinely means to Horobi, is also heart breaking and shows off just what the Ark (and thus Gai, by creating it) took from them, that this is how we see that Jin is important to Horobi. It should just be bc he’s his dad, bc hugs and family times. But the Ark took that from them. It shows that Horobi cares about Jin, but it’s also glaring show of what they lost/missed out on bc of the Ark.
There’s also something else about Jin’s reaction if you look closely at his hands.
His right hand shifts, lifting up slightly, like his first instinct was to reach out to Horobi, try to solidify whatever’s happening—but in the end, he doesn’t commit, and…
Horobi wanders off, in some sort of confused trance. We don’t see his face at all here.
It’s been pointed out to me that these two are always reaching out to each other and never quite making it, and… Accurate. Feels like yet another example of just how badly they’ve been fucked over and what was taken from them. I just really hope they finally get to connect before… Whatever happens.

Ack
that sounds horrible, getting sick is the worst ;-; get as much rest as you can! I really hope you get better soon<3
(omg the pics are GORGEOUS. Like, Wow. Once I’m done writing this message I’m probably going to go back to stare at them for like an hour and silently scream over how awesome everything looks)
Don’t worry about it, I admit that Stoki is pretty much a crack ship ^^;;
And, well, the redemption fic I mentioned helped me fall deeper into Stoki hell, but I shipped it even before that XD I think part of it is just because I think they could have a really interesting dynamic- they’re just so different, complete opposites. Steve would confuse Loki so much tbh
Also, I just think that Steve (or at least, post-CW Steve) might be one of the avengers most willing to at least try to understand Loki. Partly because Steve’s just a nice guy, and then because of his relationship with Bucky- ‘cause Steve-Bucky and Thor-Loki are really, really similar and I think Steve would realize that.
And then like I said, Steve cares a lot about other people. If Thor ever told him about everything that happened between him and Loki Steve probably wouldn’t have too much difficulty in starting to see Loki as a human(?) being instead of some one-dimensional fairy tale villain.
Lastly, I feel like Steve is just the best person to handle Loki’s issues. He may not be able to personally relate to a lot of it (Tony, Bruce, maybe Natasha would be better for that) but he can take a step back and think rationally about the situation, help convince Loki that just because the rest of the world sees him as a monster, doesn’t mean he has to be one.
Hopefully this made sense? lol)
yeah, that’s pretty much how I felt about it too. It was just so freaking frustrating OTL
(And yes that letter destoyed my feelings too)
btw, can I ask what you think about T'challa? He doesn’t seem to have that many fans yet but I think he’s really cool and possibly one of the more sensible people in the CW movie (once he stops being furious at Bucky). Also the trailer for his new movie is epic and I can’t wait to see his sister…
Hisoillu is bizarre (sadistic murdery Clown with no sense of fashion + sadistic murdery needle guy with dead fish eyes) but also makes a lot of sense at the same time? Like, Hisoka got away with joking about killing Killua in front of Illumi, so…yeah. They’ve got something special LOL
omg imagine.
‘Satisfied but when you fantasize at night it’s Illumi’s eyes’
'Helpless but look into Illumi’s eyes and the sky’s the limit’
'History has its Eyes on you but it’s actually Illumi’
Why do I want these memes to be a thing
With the new revelation about who Touka was visiting at the hospital, I’m beginning to have my doubts about how this will end…maybe they might actually both survive for now???
But I’m a bit miserable rn because if one of them has to die I’d rather keep Juuzou too but it seems much more likely for Touka to survive. She’s like the main female lead, plus she has Kaneki’s baby…
R.I.P Naki, the sweetest cinnamon roll who just wanted to see his big bro again ;-;
(Also: Wow, way to go Kaneki, you finally started acting like an actual leader (in a way)! But can I just say, what absolutely perfect timing)
WTH I had no idea Soul Eater’s art style developed that much???!!! That’s actually pretty amazing! (And yeah, I know that SE has some pretty complex characters and interesting stories in it :D it’s just still a lot lighter and has different themes from the mangas I usually enjoy ^^ I might try it out though!)
Death The Kid seems really cool! (does he really have OCD in canon, though? Like, I’ve seen a lot of Soul Eater fans talking like he does but idk if it’s actually a thing? Maybe I sound weird but it just seems insensitive to say characters like DTK and Levi have 'OCD’ and talking about it jokingly when it’s actually incredibly difficult and stressful for people who actully have OCD, so I’m not sure how to feel about those fans)
Yay! Gotta go and try to find that fight scene now…
Join me in my suffering. I loved L so much ;-;
(But hey, don’t be too sad (what’s this? Is Evans actually COMFORTING Queen Luna for once instead of rubbing salt in the wound?!)! There’s always the book Death Note: Another Note (The Los Angeles BB Murder Cases)- it’s a prequel to the Death Note manga/anime with L chasing a murderer known as Beyond Birthday (…no comment on that alias). It also shows how he met Naomi Misora which is awesome if you like Naomi (I did, and kinda screamed when Light kiled her))
Eh, I think I’m one of the few people who doesn’t mind it being set in America because what’s the point of making an American adaptation if it’s going to be set in Japan anyway? I also don’t really have a problem with 'white-washing’ for this same reason (though I am disappointed because being Japanese-American would have added an interesting layer to Light’s character; despite fighting for justice, in canon, LIght’s never actually been victimized or discriminated against. He’s a handsome, intelligent young man who appears to be cisgender and heterosexual (even if it’s never confirmed) and is Japanese, just like everyone else around him. Japanese-American Light, on the other hand, would have really experienced how the 'rotten’ world could hurt people, so his acts as Kira might have more personal emotion in them)…like, it’s possible to cast a white actor as Light without it being white-washing, and since they changed the entire setting I think it’s fine to change other things too. Just, I’m cool with anything as long as they portrayed Light’s character properly…BUT THEY DIDN’T SO
I’m really just disappointed that they botched the characters and all the themes of the original Death Note story so badly. Sure, change the setting, change the circumstances, change the plot, changehe designs, but why did you have to take Death Note’s philosophy away?
But, because I might have been a bit too mean:
I will say that the movie LOOKS really good. The visuals are great. The soundtrack seems decent too. Also, though Ryuk’s motivations/role also weren’t done very well, Ryuk’s actor did an amazing job…and while I’m not happy with how L was portrayed in this movie, I do think that the actor they cast for him could have been a good L if not for the bad writing.
Well…from what I know, Light Turner ends up in a hospital at the end of the movie with his One True Love Mia(Misa) dead, so nah. The Keikaku failed.
(which just proves that Light Turner really is nothing like Light Yagami, because Light Yagami’s keikakus never fail.
Until the end of the Death note manga/anime, that is.)
Yeah, I know about SU’s terrible fandom, so I’m not going to actively participate in writing fanfic, drawing fan art or making HCs/theories with other people…I’m just gonna watch the show with my sister and look at pretty fanart XD
Tysm tho!
(Question: Which character do you think you are? And what kind of gem do you think you’d be?)
Aww, I’m so happy my awkward rambling actually made you feel better??? Like. Come on. You have no idea how much our convos helped me with anxiety and stress, so I have to thank you for that too <333
(And seriously, Queen Luna is amazing.)
For most people, they start going to elementary at seven (in international age) as far as I know, and then go to middle school at around thirteen. Then high school at…um…sixteen? Maybe? I’ve never really gone to school here so I might not be 100% correct but it’s something like that ^^;;
I really wanna try Mystic Messenger but since my phone is an old flip phone…I like my phone but sometimes this can be inconvenient LOL
(I’m totally fine with messaging here, but are you really ok with it? 'Cause if you’re not, we can try to work something else out!)
hi im luna and i wanna die.
HNNNNNNNNGH have i ever told you how much i hate school? because i freaking hate school from the bottom of my heart i can’t feel my neck anymore from the amount of studying ive been doing that’s depressing.
anyway. heartfelt advice: do not fuck your stomach up in any way, because you will suffer if you do. take it from me, i’ve managed to develop this amazing thing called Gastritis and now i cant eat anything without getting the feeling that im gonna throw it back out which is absolutely wonderful. thankfully, i don’t throw up, but it’s freaking annoying and ive lost waay too much weight already. best part? the whole reason why i have it is apparently purely psychological, too much stress. i got it in the middle of july. HOW my mom is also being INCREDIBLY helpful by basically telling me to ‘get over it’ like i can just snap my fingers and tell myself ‘oh yeah this is only in my head’ and it’ll all pass over. cause that’s how it works. so is my sister by always laughing at me
oook moving on.
yep, school started and i am suffering. ive already gone through 4 tests and a bunch of oral quizzes. yay. thanks teachers for totally not putting horrible pressure on us from the start. i stg, one of my most common thoughts these days is ‘see, this is exactly why i have a psychosomatic sickness.’ they’re sending my to a psychologist to see if i can let everything out and maybe get some advice on how to handle things better. i will laugh my ass off if i get diagnosed with a mental disorder. that’d be absolutely hilarious (I am in no way trying to make fun of people with a mental disorder, I’m just saying I honestly wouldn’t even be surprised if they said something like Burnout Syndrome or Depression (im not even joking when I say that I’ve been sleeping pretty much all afternoon + night these days, cry way too often, feel no motivation for anything, feel worthless, no apetite and also occasional suicidal thoughts which is oh so fun (ok but in my defence, the thoughts are really rare, probably caused by the fact that I feel nauseous like 90% of the time, and I would never ever do it, mostly because some people would miss me (I hope). there are moments when I go ‘wouldn’t it be easier to disappear?’ tho))
sorry about that rant
MOVING ON TO HAPPIER THEMES (and proper writing):
Yeah, Norway was truly gorgeous ^^ I don’t think I’ve ever felt more at peace than then. I fell asleep in the car at one point while watching the scenery outside, and it was one of the best sleeps in my life, despite being in the car. I’m glad you enjoyed them ^^ If you want, I can upload random pics like that every once in a whole.
Aaah, that’s pretty good reasoning! It makes a lot more sense now, thanks for explaining!
Yeah, I kinda see why you’d ship it. Steve is a pretty understanding person and, like you said, would probably understand Loki the best ^^ Recommend me some fics and I might even start shipping it myself ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I LOVE T’CHALLA THANK YOU FOR ASKING YES. I mean, he angery™, but also freaking cool! Not to mention crazily powerful *^* I’m pretty excited for his movie, cause more badassery from him!
Wow those sound like genuine memes. Seriously why can’t i draw XD
Also HIstory has its eyes on you but it’s actually Illumi will give me nightmares.
GODAMNIT I JUST WANT JUUZOU TO BE HAPPY IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR?? (apparently yes)
Yep, since I have all the volumes, I like to flip through them sometimes and I’m blown away every time by the development. I also cosplayed the main character a while ago, so it holds a high sentimental value to me. But it is a lot lighter than your usual reads, true...
Well, uh, it’s kinda hard to explain? I mean, DTK is obsessed with symmetry and will go to crazy lengths to preserve it, get mad if someone disturbs it, will jeopardise missions if he’s not sure if he left something perfectly symmetrically at home etc, but it’s not so much as a mental illness as it is a consequence of who he is (part of the Grim Reaper)? Like i said, it’s really had to explain.
Did you manage to find the fight scene?
My reaction to Death Note in general: FUCK YOU LIGHT YAGAMI. oooh, I’ll search that manga up!
Well, I’m not so much upset about the whitewashing, more about the fact that I feel like the japanese general ideology plays a big role in why light decided to start killing bad people? Idk how to explain it...
Oh, Japanese-American Kira would’ve been a really interesting thing to see!
Yay, at least you found some good things? Well, it’s nice that you managed that ^^
Damnit, so it didn’t go according to Keikaku! It’s all because they didn’t include the potato chip scene.
Uuh, i don’t exactly remember much of SU, but I guess I’m most similar to Pearl? I didn’t really sympathise with any characters that much tbh. As for gem. Uuuuuh *quickly googles gem meanings* ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA. I like Zircon because of the colour and alexandrite because it changes colour which is incredibly cool!
Your rambling always makes me feel better tbh. It gives me a looong message from a friend I appreciate incredibly much so, yeah, I always smile when I see a message from you (even though my replies are so slooooooooow)
Aaah, I see! That’s pretty interesting ^^ Quite different from our system.
Ah, shame, you would’ve liked the most recent route, there is so so so much suffering.
Yeah, I am 100% fine!! Don’t worry about it! The reason why I suggested something else is because on sites w an instant messaging system, my replies would probably be a lot quicker,
I AM IN LOVE WITH THE AESTETHICS, ESPECIALLY LIZZY, THAT IS GOALS
and the drawings are adorable ^^ Hide tho ;-;

On manga acwnr, Hanji talked with Levi, Isabel and Farlan, but on OVA that talk is removed without mercy. What you think was the cause for a lot of Hanji development be removed in animate version?
Okay, first ofall, this is a really good question, i love it. In fact, i have given this alot of thought so this is gonna be a long answer.
In regards toACWNR, they actually removed a lot of stuff from the manga. The first time iwatched the animated version, i was kinda pissed off by it. They changedErwin’s speech and their conversation BEFORE the expedition (don’t even get me started onthat…), the way Levi rescued Isabel from the streets, the lovely insult thatLevi said to Flagon, even the chasing scene! Or The moment where Levi throws Erwin off his horse, that’s just epic. They changed so many details. Iunderstand that some things need to be removed in order to fit and to make itmore appealing to the viewer and i’d love to hear the thoughts of Isayama onthe matter. It seems to me, that theytried to just focus on Levi and leave other character’s development aside;because of it, we don’t get to hear, for example, Farlan’s impression overHanji “doesn’t seem like the type who particularly cares what other think”,that wasn’t related to Levi directly so they probably consider it wasn’tcrucial to the plot.
But when itcomes to the scene with Hanji you’re referring to and the anime overall (these not only apply to Kui Naki Sentaku) i havesome extra thoughts:
1)Manga Hanjiand anime Hanji have differences and it’s undeniable. The animators tried tomake them more like “the crazy scientist”, because this is a verycommon type of character in anime and, also, this made the veterans’ trio personalities’ reallycontrast with each other, specially Levi/Hanji and that’s fun to watch, itbrings dynamism to the plot. Manga!Hanji is a little bit more serious, intenseand just full of badassery. So instead of her having a normal conversation withLevi and his friends, the animators changed it to her blushing and being justreally excited about Levi’s skills, and that kinda crazy attitude (i do likethe blushing part lol the Levihan feels take the best of me. I think one of thereasons they changed this scene is directly linked to the way the animatorsthemselves portray Hanji. I really hope that in Season 2 we get to see theanime!Hanji more similar to the manga one, and by the looks of the teaser (theone with Nick) we might get it . YAY. Hanji is an amazing character and i feel that the anime version doesn’t really make them justice.
2) I alsobelieve the anime version tries harder to make Levi look badass, more arrogantand distant than he actually is in the manga version. So that’s also why we justget this Levi practicing in the distance while Hanji is just watching, they didn’t show Levi’s vulnerable face whenHanji approaches him and his introvert attitude of “i don’t know how tohandle this energetic person”.
I mean, look at him! He even apologizes!
I believe Levi is just this regular reallyhot dude who has like bad social skills and that just happens to be really strong…. but that idea isn’t appealing for a broader audience. The animators maybe didn’t feel like this particular scene fits the kind of character they want to show the viewer, when it comes to both Levi and Hanji. A really tough guyand a crazy chick are more “anime-like”, “shonen-like”, maybe this could seem like a really bad explanation, but this isn’t the first anime where this happens. I’vebeen reading manga my whole life and i’ve seen so many characters have detailsaltered. I’m not saying i don’t like the anime version of SnK, i LOVE IT, icould watch it forever, but i think the manga version is more realistic.Isayama has created characters who seem like they’re actually real people, withtheir quirks and their sorrows and that’s a great virtue not all story-tellershave so i don’t expect the animators to get it absolutely right.
3) Now i’m gonnadial down the seriousness and say… damn, that conversation was a real goodLevihan moment and i don’t mean it just in a romantic kind of way, it can bealso in a friendship kind of way. Hanji approached this thug, whose onlyreason for being there is he’s just so freaking strong and, on top of it, hehas hell of an attitude and HANJI DOESN’T CARE AT ALL. Nobody wants to talk tothem and SHE GIVES ISABEL CANDY! Maybe Levi was touched by that, to finallyhave someone who doesn’t look at him like a threat. She even asks him to share his tricks. This was themoment when their appreciation for each other as comrades, or friends or whatever you want to believe, started. And that’s simply beautiful. It sucks we didn’t get to watch it animated.
I could talkabout this forever so i probably should stop now lmfao thank you so much forthe ask! I really enjoyed answering it and i would love to hear your ownopinions on the matter.
