DEVIANT IN LOOKING-GLASS LAND - Yuuta Nakajima

A boy from another world with a foul mouth and a fouler temperament. He possesses the strange ability to manipulate lightning. However, even his short temper and strange behavior hide a heart of gold.

For the sake of a harmonized society, we suppress that which makes us “strange” and cast aside that which is “wrong.” However, if you can’t even do that—what then?

Yuuta has always, for better or for worse, been the black sheep of the flock. Even when transported to Twisted Wonderland out of nowhere, that doesn’t seem like it will change.

…Or will it?

PERSONALITY

Straight-forward, foul-mouthed, irritable, and hardly agreeable—these are all apt descriptions of Yuuta, a stereotypical delinquent. He sees no point in enduring what he considers to be meaningless, so more often than not, he calls things as he sees them. In the eyes of many, he tends to be a rebel without a cause, a brute with no respect for authority. Indeed, sometimes he does not look at the bigger picture and lets his temper get the better of him. 

His anger management issues and bitterness often battle for control or mix to result in destructive choices. He has an admirable ability to commit to things out of spite, but as expected, he isn’t one to plan for long-term goals. Still, in the heat of a fight, this makes him a powerful if dangerous and hard-to-control ally. 

Of course, Yuuta isn’t entirely unbearable. Somewhere beneath his grating exterior is a genuine ability to care for others and a strong desire for fairness. Once he’s accepted someone as more than tolerable, he’ll defend them no matter what. It just… takes a while to prove yourself worthy of getting past his walls.

…All the same, he is no stranger to being affable, people-pleasing, and friendly, but that’s a story for another time.

ABILITIES

Lightning: Born with the strange ability to call upon lightning/thunder, this—in Crowley’s eyes—qualified Yuuta to be a student at Night Raven College; one with accommodations, at least. Yuuta’s powers are partially dependent on his emotions, but because of years of practice, he is actually rather skilled with controlling his powers: if he grows angry or hostile outside of an actively dangerous situation, the worst result is generally just some static. He is also immune to lightning and lightning magic, as his body simply acts as a lightning rod/conductor when struck.

Fighting: On top of being physically fit, Yuuta also has a few years of getting into fights under his belt. Though not enough to face off against a professional, if you were to pit him against several others his size, he would be alright. 

TRIVIA

Yuuta was born and raised alongside a twin brother. If it weren’t for Yuuta bleaching his hair and possessing an entirely different demeanor, they would be almost identical. 

He has difficulty in most academic areas, and often requires the help of a tutor. However, he has a natural aptitude for fine arts, especially and specifically where music is concerned. 

The earrings he wears were a gift from someone he no longer talks to.

I started this au a few months ago as a goof but actually really liked it! And I just saw the mario movie yesterday (it was great better than I expected and actually made me emotional in some parts lol) So I figured I would finally share this! Feel free to send me asks about this au bc I have a good amount of lore and I'm also still making some!

Basic summary: Yuuta and Yume take the place of Mario and Luigi and other twst characters are inhabitants of the Kingdom!

Since the Mario Lore/world is so expansive I'm really just doing whatever I like with this and making it my own.

So another one of my rants I like to go on when it’s about fandom culture lacking media literacy and not telling the difference between fiction and reality lol 😂

But anyway, I be seeing a lot of people get mad at people sexualizing their own OCS and drawing them in provocative or sexual ways (keep mine not them doing it to other people OCs but THEIR own OCs) it’s just so weird to me how the goal post will always be move. First it was “stop sexualizing fictional characters” now it’s “stop sexualizing your own fictional characters” lol 😂

Now as someone who has OCs in different fandoms by ALL means sexualize them to your heart content lol you want to make smut make some smut or fan art (because I can’t draw worth shit anyway) you can age them up or down, you can give them whatever kinks you like (I’m not really sure about scat or piss tho but do you) because fiction and fictional characters are like clay you can mold and make it into whatever you want.

They took everything from him. They took his childhood. They took the very essence of himself. He can't help but think about the child that they molded, corrupted, and contorted into a cruel weapon. The fact that they call him an angel just added to the sickening feeling. He can't even look at himself without seeing a doll. An item. The *thing* that they want him to be. He couldn't tell if the porcelain covering his skin was real. Was it always so hard to feel his face? His face. He hated his face. It was just a reminder that he was a pretty doll to them. God, he just wanted to break it. And so he did. The relief of feeling something at all quickly turned to fear and shock when he realized what he had done. Before that feeling faded once more into that awful sickness. Maybe, if he did it one more time, the feeling would go away again. Featuring Yuuta from Codename: Imagine!

The boy stared into the mirror before him. Eyes bore into him, whispers mixing in with the crackling of fire. In this vast hall, he alone was an outcast. 

It was so different, but so familiar. He held his chin up high, refusing to show weakness.

“State your name,” rumbled the “face” in the mirror.

“Yuuta. Nakajima Yuuta.”

“...The nature of your soul is…”

Silence slowly fell upon the assembly of students, everyone waiting with bated breath. In irritated anticipation, Yuuta clenched his hands into fists. 

“——Divergent.”

Oooh! Hobby and Quote for Yume please!

Sorry this took so long im trying to clear my ask box <333!!! Quote: Give me something your twst OC will say. Either something they always say or something iconic they said. Something that helps solve the problems or something that is a catalyst to even more issues.

"Running out of time."

This is one of the reoccurring phrases and quotes for Yume. It originally comes from the opening sequence from twist (at the least the very first translation of it I saw.) -

"For me, for them, for you.

We are all running out of time.

No matter what, never let go of my hand."

- These are the first words we see in game and are spoken by Crowley assume to the MC. It inadvertently became a reoccurring theme and motif of sorts to represent Yume's fear for a future they can't control AKA a fate they can't escape. But despite that they keep trying to hold on, grasping for the idea of a future they can only hope to create. It's echoed throughout Yume and Idia's relationship as well, as for the majority of the time they spend together Idia feels as though its only a matter of time before Yume realizes the mistake they made in caring about someone like him.

Yume throughout the story has doubts about their time in twisted wonderland. Wondering if they are wasting their time or being selfish focusing on things that may not matter. Or they fear that everything they worked for won't even matter in the end. They have a deep buried anxiety that something horrible is going to happen to them and the people they care about and that they all will be powerless to stop it. But they don't really know why.... It's a bit haunting for them.....
