Rise August 2024 Day 6: Lou Jitsu

mystic malfunction is on my mind again and i've been thinking about how funny it'd be if mikey hijacked a training session and taught everyone Lou Jitsu style (à la fish and ladders). ik Splinter's already been trying to make it a little more interesting for Mikey, but maybe it's the day after a particularly sour mission and he's like "yknow what? okay let's do it Orange's way today, just for a bit of a change of pace. lighten the mood a bit." the 2012 boys learn a very structured style, which is def useful (like when Mikey was fighting Shredder), but the 2018 boys are way more used to improvising and using their surroundings in non-traditional ways - particularly Mikey. i think it'd be really interesting to see how the 2012 boys would fare trying to fight in that style, and if they'd use it in future! anyway. the image of Mikey chasing them all around with an improvised household appliance weapon is EXTREMELY amusing to me, along with seeing Splinter's reaction when Mikey informs him that this was how they first learned how to properly fight. I think he'd go through all the stages of grief, but it'd definitely help him understand Mikey's lack of interest in regular training. anyway back to rotating your fic around in my mind like a microwave <3

Mikey vibrated with excitement, Splinter amused beside him while the others cautiously filtered into the dojo.

Splinter had seen how he’d struggled during regular training and after a small talk about why that might be, he’d allowed Mikey to run his own session to see exactly how the teaching styles differed. Both for Splinters own curiosity and to provide a different, more improvised kind of training so the others didn’t fall too much of a routine.

“So, how many different death traps are in here?” Raphael asks. Michelangelo is attempting to hide behind him but Raphael keeps pushing him away. “And where is one of them so Mike can be distracted by something else—“

“No death traps!” Mikey confirms. The others still look around cautiously as they come to stand in front of him. “I’m gonna show you the kind of training I got from Dad back home!”

The turtles share a disbelieving look, glancing towards Splinter who merely nods in confirmation.

“That’s…great,” Leonardo says slowly. “I suppose we could spice things up a bit.”

“You betcha!” Mikey exclaims. The turtles share one last confirming glance with Splinter before falling into their training stances and pulling out their weapons.

Mikey’s grin grows. “Nuh uh, nope,” he says, rolling onto his heels and thoroughly enjoying their confusion. “Won’t need those.”

Splinter turns to him in curiosity while the other look on in slight terror. Regardless, they lower their weapons to the ground in front of them and wait for Mikey to continue.

Oh, this is going to be fun.

“That’s not how you use a toaster!” Donatello screeches, lunging away from the flying toaster Michelangelo threw by the cord like a flail.

“That’s exactly how you use it!” Mikey encourages from the sidelines. His alternate sends him a bright thumbs up before his head is promptly smacked to the ground by the lamp Raphael wields.

“How on Earth are you still alive if this is how your Master Splinter trained you!?” Leonardo exclaims, hurriedly blocking Raphael’s next lamp strike with his couch cushion. “This isn’t what training is supposed to be!”

“Sure it is! You just have to get creative! I don’t see Michelangelo complaining!” His alternate groans from the floor and he immediately backtracks. “Not about the training anyway!”

The chaos quickly resumed with Raphael going on a rampage with his lamp and the others scrambling out of the way with their other improvised weapons.

Mikey beams up a smile to Splinter who pinches his brow with eyes shut tight, taking deep breaths.

“I…understand your frustration with my teaching methods, now,” Splinter grumbles, watching with tired eyes as Raphael gets a whack to the face from Leonardo’s cushion.

Mikey launches to his feet, not being able to help himself anymore. Without any warning he grabs the closets of the many household items he gathered before starting. His hands adjust around the pens he grabbed, fashioning them into claws between his fingers, before jumping into the fray and straight towards a panicked Donatello.

They’re nowhere near prepared for all the razz-ma-tazz he’s about to unleash.

TFA X ROTTMNT crossover imagine Idea:

What if back when Splinter was Lou Jitsu he got spirited away in the TFA universe as a cybertronian thanks to a magical artifact long time ago before the first autobots-decepticons War, became a Gladiator against his will, meet Megatron and end up becoming "Friends" with him, build himself a reputation among Cybertronians and became a Well known History figure After managing to get his Freedom back and managed to get all the other Gladiator, Megatron included, free?

What if years After Lou Jitsu managed to get back to his universe and the ROTTMNT canon happen the turtles found the Magic artifact, end up in the TFA universe turned into cybertronians and two of them are warframes while the other two are civilframe?

I got way into this AU crossover the more I wrote about it and I just want to say that you, my friend, are a genius for coming up with it.

-Lou Jitsu's alter ego when he was a cybertronian was Splinter. Yeah, I'm basic like that. His alt mode would have been either a jet or a race car though I'm a bit partial to him having a car alt mode, simply because I could really see him turning into some flashy 80's sport car.

-Becoming a really popular gladiator not only for his fighting skills but also for bringing in his theatrics to the ring. They don't know that but whenever he wants to seem cool he says a one liner from one of his movies. The crowd ate it up every time. He's also really handsome as a bot so he's got a ton of fans.

-Ok but wouldn't be really cool if Splinter kinda revolutionized the cyber-ninja scene??? Like, up until his appearance it had kinda stagnated but when he shows up and shows up his amazing moves all the cyber-dojos go "YOOOOOO, THAT'S FUCKING AWESOME" and he basically starts the cyber-ninja renaissance. He also probably gets offered to become the leader of his own dojo but he declines the offer because he doesn't wanna abandon his new gladiator-buddies.

-Young Yoketron being his pupil??? Showing up one day like Genos in One Punch man and begging for Splinter to become his master??? YOKETRON YELLING "HOT SOUP" EVEN THOUGH HE HAS NO IDEA WHAT IT MEANS???

Prowl: Master, is it true that you trained under the master Splinter?

Yoketron: Yes, my pupil, I indeed did.

Prowl: Amazing, I've heard so much about him. What was he like?

Yoketron: He was... very wise. *flashback to Splinter forgetting how to use his brakes while in alt mode and crashing into a wall*

-Also, as for the brothers, if two of them are warframes then I imagine it being Raph and Leo. Raph because, well, he's built like a brick, it makes sense, and Leo because his weapons are the most lethal, made to kill. Also, Raph would be a tank while Leo would be a jet. Meanwhile, Donnie's alt mode would be like a microscope/telescope or something while Mikey would be a racer, either a motorcycle or a race car. I just want Mikey to have wheels on his pedes and rollerblade around while fighting.

-I also want some cyber-ninja dojo to 'discover' Mikey's talents, both as a ninja and spiritually, and taking him in. And Mikey can't tell them the truth, that he's already trained, so he has to pretend to be a newbie but instead he comes off as an actual genius, a prodigy only seen once every eon (he is a prodigy though so they're not too far off). Mikey shows them his 'magic hands' and the old coots practically faint.

-Meanwhile, Donnie gets similarly 'discovered' by the autobot Ministry of Science when they take notice of his remarkable intelligence and honestly? Donnie eats up the attention and praise. Perceptor and Wheeljack are fighting over who gets to mentor him and Donnie just does "Gentlemen, please, the answer is obvious; You both teach me everything you know. I want to know it all."

-Splinter, after becoming a mutant, turns into a cybertronian again but he looks really different so no one recognizes him. He's a beast-former now with a rat alt mode, about the height of Bumblebe (maybe even shorter). He kinda radiates this mystical air though, only perceivable to those with more spiritual senses, like Prowl.

Edit: Added some ideas of what Bot-Splinter would look like, both before and after mutating.

Something I was trying to figure out was how long Splinter & Big Mama actually dated 

Splinter: I met her in human form on the set of Crouching Shrimp Hidden Tiger Prawn

We know from the flashback that Splinter met Big Mama in the 80′s as the year listed is 1984, so we know what year Splinter & Big Mama started dating but we don’t know the exact year that Big Mama kidnapped Splinter for the Battle Nexus.

Splinter: I was going to ask her to marry me but instead of accepting my proposal she revealed she was a giant spider who kidnapped me to the Hidden City and forced me to fight in the Battle Nexus 

According to tweets made by Russ Carney & Ron Corcillo, Splinter was at the Battle Nexus for around a decade & since we know from the episodes The Evil League of Mutants & Goyles, Goyles, Goyles that Splinter was kidnapped from the Battle Nexus 13 years before season 1 takes place in 2018

Huginn & Muninn: Was 13 years ago today he made those Turtles with the ooze!

Huginn: You want us to sneak into the Hidden City’s most heavily guarded place the Battle Nexus?

Muninn: And kidnap it’s most powerful champion Lou Jitsu!?

If the Turtles were created 13 years before the events of season 1 then they must have been mutated on the same year Mikey was born, 2005 so if Splinter spent around 10 years in the Battle Nexus before he was mutated in 2005 then Splinter must have been kidnapped in around 1995.

Splinter: Big Mama and I were inseparable

If Big Mama kidnapped Splinter in 1995 then that means that they had been dating around 11 years after they had started dating in 1984, that’s around 11 years of dating before Splinter asked Big Mama to marry him & she kidnapped him, that’s a pretty long relationship it’s probably why Splinter still has some feelings for her despite what she did to him.

Splinter: I do miss our pre-kidnapping times

Throughout the series Splinter has been shown to hold onto things from his past as Lou Jitsu as seen by him wearing his old Lou Jitsu jumpsuit throughout the series.

Splinter: My Lou Jitsu jumpsuit from my award winning Lou Jitsu dojos! What on earth are you doing on my shoulders? 

Splinter hanging onto pieces of his old life is a recurring theme throughout the series such as when he tricks Donnie & Mikey into coming with him to a demolition derby in the episode Turtle Dega Nights the Ballad of Rat Man because he was chasing the feeling of ‘glory’ that he felt as a Battle Nexus Champion or when he felt protective of his old Lou Jitsu dojos in the episode Fists of Furry 

Splinter: I wake up every day as a tiny rat man and I wanted some glory back in my life

Splinter: Today is my long overdue dojo inspection day to make sure they are teaching my moves properly 

It’s been shown that Splinter holds onto things from his old life as Lou Jitsu & for better or worse Big Mama was part of his old life as Lou Jitsu which might be why he still holds on to some feelings from their old relationship 

Though it’s unclear if Splinter either genuinely still loves Big Mama despite everything she’s done or if he’s holding onto the feelings he had had for her because he has trouble letting go of his old life whatever the cause, Splinter does still have feelings for Big Mama

Splinter: I wish I could say it was a pleasure to see you again, my sassy sugar badger 

Splinter: Come with us Big Mama there is still good in you!

He still believes in Big Mama’s ‘goodness’ not only after their history where she had kidnapped him & forced him to fight for a decade but also right after she had just kidnapped all of New York, directly endangered his sons & had lied about keeping the Shredder in his prison.

It makes me wonder just what Splinter & Big Mama’s relationship was like for him to hold onto his feelings for her, true he & Big Mama dated for 11 years before she kidnapped him but by the time of season 2 it’s been around 24 years since then. It makes me wonder what their relationship was like for Splinter to hold onto it so much.

So it seems like Leo and Donnie get pretty close fairly quickly in your au so I was kinda wondering if that's something the rest of the other brothers/family would be jealous of? Like just the fact that these two click so well while maybe some of the others are struggling with that?

At the start Raph might be a little jealous of Leo’s relationship to Donnie and Mikey but after Leo’s rescue their relationship changes a lot. All in all though Raph and Mikey aren’t really jealous of the twins’ relationship, cause they all each have their own special kind of bond with each other.

Raph and Mikey are the Lou Jitsu, skateboarding, and comics lovers duo. They both enjoy the more traditional stuff that teenage boys like, so they probably spend the most time hanging out doing those, just the two of them. Especially seeing as Leo and Donnie can prefer their solitude by way of the dojo and lab (though the whole keeping their distance thing is worse mostly in the beginning and they do get better).

For Leo and Donnie it’s like…two chaotic, but wholesome puzzle pieces finally slotting together to make a full picture. Raph and Mikey can tell how much their brothers benefit from something like that, so they’re happy to see it.

For Leo and Raph, (post 2nd rescue at least) they bond over being the two oldest, and help each other deal with the stress that comes from that. They both have issues dealing with their anger, so they have a space of time each day where they work on either mediation or sparring in the dojo. And since they co-lead the team, they spend time coming up with ideas for training, or patrol routes.

For Leo and Mikey, their relationship is close to canon. Where Mikey clearly, really looks up to Leo, and they certainly become a very…special kind of lovably dumb when they’re together lol. But the biggest difference is Leo’s way more overprotective of Mikey, thanks to the whole mess of Leo feeling like he failed to protect Mikey when they were younger.

For Donnie and Raph, Don puts Raph on a pedestal and admires him a lot, both for traits Donnie has sorta created in his head, and actual real stuff he sees from his big bro, but then, the more Donnie learns about Raph, the more he realizes Raph is even cooler than anything his brain could come up with. When Donnie needs a break from working in his lab, they’ll spend lazy afternoons just playing video games and eating junk food.

For Donnie and Mikey, they cause max stress to their big brothers any time they decide to do anything together outside the lair. Also they are the best for info-dumping to each other. Mikey will sit in the lab for hours while Donnie rambles on about his ideas, or any future designs. Alternatively Donnie will bring a small project with him into Mikey’s art studio while Mikey talks a million miles an hour, jumping between subjects with no warning. Each has no trouble keeping up while the other talks.

Chapter 2: The Beginning

Note: I don’t know how to continue from the last chapter… This chapter takes place 1 month after the fight but before he is in the apocalypse. Sorry if that's confusing.

Everything finally seemed to be settling down. They had a new lair, practically

Everyone's injuries were healed, and they finally had a break.

So, to celebrate their victory over Shredder, Leo suggested they all go to Run of the Mill, which they did. Since no one had any plans, they thought walking there together and dining in would be fun. It was a nice walk filled with idle conversations and clever quips, which continued as they were seated.

Once the pizza arrived, Donnie enjoyed his classic pepperoni pizza, Mikey and Raph dug into their Meat Lovers, and Leo ordered a disgraceful pineapple pizza. Donnie would never understand his twin’s love for pineapple on pizza. Donnie honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Leo only pretended to like it to annoy him.

As their random conversations ended, Raph asked, “So, are you guys ready to head back?”

“Aw, come on, already? We just got here!” Leo whined.

“Actually, we've been here for approximately,” Donnie paused to check the time on his phone, “One hour and forty-three minutes… give or take.”

“Oh, I know! We should have a movie night!” Mikey chimed in from his side of the table. There was a hum of agreement from everyone before Leo quickly called dibs on the movie rights.

They had left Run of the Mill about 10 minutes ago, preferring the walk rather than portals yet again. Donnie had texted April about the movie night, to which she excitedly responded with an all-caps “YESSS” before he shared the disappointing news that Leo had chosen the movie. Upon hearing that, her excitement seemed to dwindle ever so slightly. They could only assume he would choose Jupiter Jim Sails the Seven Galaxies, mainly because Leo refused to tell them his choice. Although he constantly reassured Donnie by saying, “Trust me! You’re going to love it!”

After walking a few more minutes, they made it to the entrance of their new lair in the subway.

Mikey and Leo rushed forward to claim their favorite movie seats while Raph set up his cushioned nest that he always made out of his many plushies, pillows, and blankets for movie nights.

Donnie would have joined the rest of his family, but he thought he’d stay a little further away in the subway for now. He wanted to make sure April came safely. She had only been to the new lair a handful of times, and it was always hard to navigate, especially now that they didn't have Mikey’s graffiti to help guide them. All around the old lair was graffiti carefully thrown up with hints, only visible to those who knew what to look for, to direct them through the sewers. In this new lair, he had hardly any time to decorate the walls with his colorful masterpieces, although he had started a piece dedicated to Gram Gram where they planned to make their new dojo.

Donnie sat there, absently messing with his goggles, as he waited for April. Flipping them over his eyes and back to their place on his head. He messed with the settings. Went through a couple of his videos. He stumbled upon one particularly funny reenactment of a Lou Jitsu movie they had done. They turned the volume off and voiced over a couple scenes, purposefully getting the script wrong to annoy Pops. After that, he flipped the goggles back over his eyes and reviewed the settings options. He ventured through the different modes until he found himself looking around the subway in an attempt to pick up any mystic frequencies.

Towards the lair, he could see large traces of mystic energy, the significant amount easily explained by his brothers’ ninpo.

Mikey had said he could feel their ninpo, which made no sense. Their ninpo was something deep within them that wasn't tangible. He didn’t understand how Mikey could ‘feel’ it, but now, with the help of the crystal from Draxun’s lab, he found a way to, in a sense, ‘see’ their ninpo. So, though he still couldn’t feel their ninpo, he could see it radiating all around them. It was… comforting in a way. He didn’t know if he would ever comprehend the magic within them, but seeing it helped him understand it.

Although, after he turned away from the lair, he saw faint wisps of mystic energy different from his brother’s. “Well that’s new,” he muttered to himself. They seemed… familiar, though he couldn't place it. Like a dream, you can’t remember or a thought you just lost

The wisps, once scattered and roaming, seemed to be gathering together. “I should archive this… for my mystic archive,” Donnie whispered as he pressed record.

The wisps briefly flickered brighter before dimming to their original faint glow. Then they started moving again, floating higher a few feet from him.

Donnie stared and whispered, “Maybe I should get the others,” but the moment he turned his head towards the lair he felt a pulse of energy.

He whipped his head back toward the wisps only to find what looked like a crack in the air, vibrant and sparking. He stood in shock as he saw the sparking crack in the air slowly expand. “Cool, cool, cool. This is fine,” He reassured himself as he began to examine the crack from what he deemed a safe distance, “Ah yes, what a completely normal and scientifically possible… thing I am seeing. He said sarcastically.”

Within a moment the crack became a gaping hole slightly larger than himself. He flipped his goggles to their place on his head and witnessed the vibrant orange tear through the air. It was like a fire burning and crackling.

In any other scenario, he would have rushed to his brothers to alert them of this cosmic anomaly but as soon as the crackling hole appeared it began to fade. It crackled and flickered unstablely. He needed to know more about it before it was gone. He couldn't let this go unexplained.

So, without thinking, he stepped towards it, reached forward, and his fingertips went through.

It was a strange sensation. His fingertips felt numb but… slightly tingling with a dull sting. Not enough to hurt, just a minor discomfort. He carefully pulled his fingers out. No harm done. The hole was still shrinking so he kept investigating while he could.

He reached his fingertips in, then pushed his hand through. The same tingling feeling now engulfed his whole hand. His eyes were fixed on the orange glow wrapping around his wrist. He watched the crackling edges with a focused stare, trying to gather as much information as possible.

A sudden vibrant blue contrasted the orange glow. Before he could take in the sudden scenery change, a loud (and rather obnoxious) voice shouted from behind, “Hey Don-Tron, Where’s April??”

Donnie startled, his concentration snapped from the glowing crack and he began to fall forward. Reflexively, he thrust his arm forward to catch himself— that arm being the same one currently inside a glowing mystic hole. The action practically throwing himself into it.

Suddenly, It was as if everything had stopped. His body slowed as it approached the mystic hole, his mind racing. He tried to move, to catch himself with his battleshell, but his body wouldn't react.

Then all too fast time seemed to catch up to him. Gravity heavily pushed against him, “Nononono NO,” he screamed as he plummeted face-first into the glowing unknown.

Hi, can i request HC platonic little sister (female reader she/her), who wants to make her 4 brothers happy?

Like she knows mikey wanted that famous rare cooking book that got sold out years ago and she comes up to him saying " hey mikey, close your eyes and give me your hands, i swear it's not a prank! " and when she gives him he gets so shocked he almost cry and scream of joy at the same time.

She do the same with her 3 older brothers because she loves going so far to make them happy.

( in case you couldn't find a thing that may make the brothers so happy may i suggest; a poster of leo with lou outfit back when he was fighting in BNC, for Donnie a rare computer chip, and for raph she sew a ghost bear - she hates him btw - teddy bear big size for raph).

Little presents

• you never thought you'll find yourself considering four mutant turtles your older siblings

• but it did happened somehow

• and you were really grateful for that

• there wasn't any boring moment with them, always having some sort of fun activity going on like Mikey teaching you how to cook, Leo showing you his favorite Lou Jitsu scenes or doing tricks with his blue portals that you had no idea how they worked, Donnie explaining to you how he build his inventions even tho you didn't understand any word he said or Raph showing you the best ways to protect yourself in the dojo

• they cared for you deeply and you cared for them

• that's why you decided to repay them for their kindness, you really wanted to make them happy just like they made you

• it wasn't easy but being a really determined kid you went on a mission to get your brothers some presents (April helped you get some of them because she was a little concerned you could get in trouble doing this all on your own and almost got a heart attack more times she wanted to admit)

• when you achieved your task successfully it was time to deliver the items to each of the turtles

• first on your list was Mikey

• and when I tell you he was extremely happy I mean he was absolutely delighted when you handed him that super rare cooking book that got sold out years ago and no one was printing it anymore

• he definitely picked you up spinning around and giggling saying "thank you" repeatedly with the biggest grin you ever saw

• he did question tho were did you get that and you started to tell him a story about that cool old book shop you found somewhere in a weird alley where cashier looked like a big owl, how she was very nice too and helped you look for this book

• Mikey thought he would pass out because how the hell did you get into the Hidden city- oh, you ran off already

• the next turtle was Leo, who you were able to find doing tricks on a skateboard

• when he saw you he momentarily stopped and asked what's up and why you and Mikey were so loud earlier, he stopped when he saw you handing him something

• he thought he would cry when he realized it was a poster - with him AND Lou Jitsu

• that was, like, the coolest thing ever

• he didn't even asked where did you get that, just thanked you million times and went to the first person he saw (which was Mikey, going to kitchen with his new cooking book) to brag about him being your favorite brother because "have you seen what cool pesent she gave me? none of you got something this awesome-"

• your next stop was a lab, so you knocked in a irregular pattern - a code that Donnie taught you so he knew it was you

• when the doors opened you went straight to the chair he was sitting at, tinkering with things you did not recognize

• not wanting to interrupt him, you slowly slid a little square to him, finally catching Donnie's attention, he lifted his mismatched goggles and examined onject and upon recognising what it was he let out a verbal "gasp!"

• Donnie isn't very good at expressing his gratitude but the excited sparkle in his eyes resured you he really liked that computer chip that he tried to get a grasp on for quiet some time now and even though you may not understand what exactly was so special about it, seeing the turtle so happy was enough to make your efforts on getting it worth

• and speaking of that "I am grateful for this thoughtful gift but, uh, could you enlighten me on how did you get into a possession of something so-"

• you, again, decided to disappear into thin air

• finally, the last one on your list, the oldest big brother, Raph

• finding him was easy, it was the time of the day for his training, so you headed to the dojo, already hearing him from afar

• announcing your arrival, not wanting to accidentally get hit, he greeted you with a smile and pat on the head

• the gift you had for him was probably the only one you did yourself (okay, maybe not entirely by yourself but for the most part that was true) - a Ghost Bear plushie, almost as big agroun

• your heard that he liked him, you not so much after hearing about his evil doings, but if it's what would make your older brother happy then so be it

• maybe for you it was not perfect, in some parts steaches were visible, but for Raph it was indeed perfect and he couldn't dream of a better present, which was clearly indicated by the loud thumping of his tail repeatedly hitting the ground

• "it's really amazing! and it's detailed too, just like you have seen him while sewing!.. wait-"

• let's say, you did end up with you making your brothers extremely happy

• and extremely concerned at the same time

• good luck with explaining where did you get all those gifts ^^

summary: reader gets into a fight for a rare figurine and arrives all scratched up at the lair.

For once in your life you felt like the social media algorithm was working in your favour as you got the ad for a rare limited edition vintage Lou Jitsu figure being sold at your local nerd store. You were scrolling through your feed like usual and almost choked on your snack when you saw it, and immediately got ready to leave your house. You would get that figure for your boyfriend, no matter what.

Once you got to the store however, you noticed the huge line. Luckily most of the people were there for other rare items that had just been restocked. You were pretty sure that the Lou Jitsu franchise had never been so big as for someone to come and try to snatch the precious figure away. You inwardly apologise to Splinter at the thought; if it hadn’t been for the turtles, you wouldn’t even know who Lou Jitsu was in the first place.

As it turned out, you were wrong though. The moment you laid eyes on the box on the shelves, you beelined towards it. To your surprise, just as you reached out towards it, another pair of hands mirrored you. You looked up to the stranger, about to counter them with a polite ‘I saw it first’ but the frown on their face made it clear that you wouldn't get out of this without a fight.

Now usually you’re not one to get physically violent; you leave that to the turtles, as they have actually been properly trained. That day was the first time in a very long time you threw some actual punches. The store staff didn’t seem bothered by it at all. In fact there were more than a handful of rowdy customers storming the merchandise and fighting each other.

You did land one punch to their jaw, but not without getting one to your face first. The important thing was: you ended up victorious. 

Hurrying to the register, you checked out and even got the box wrapped as a gift with a little bow and everything. The people on the street gave you some strange looks but you decided to ignore them, instead heading directly towards the lair. You just couldn't wait to see your favourite turtle’s reaction to your gift.

🔵 Leo

When you arrived at the lair, Leo’s smile immediately transformed into a frown.

He was obviously worried.

Because you have a black eye.

You tell him about what happened.

And on one side he was like: You did that? For me? 🥺

He was super happy about your gift.

Leo lifted you up in a hug and spinned you around a couple of times.

He couldn't wait to show his brothers and his dad.

On the other side he was like “I gotta teach you how to properly counter and defend”.

You pointed out that if he was gonna teach you to fight, might as well teach you to use katanas.

Since you found them very cool.

He got all smug at that obviously.

Asking you several times which part you find the coolest and don't you just swoon when you see him kicking butt etc.

You agreed to all of it, genuinely.

In the end he decided to actually teach you.

You were both in the dojo as Leo explained the basics of his katanas, adjusting your grip on them and having you hold them in different positions so you’d get a feel for their weight.

When he corrected your stance, he stood behind you and you could feel the warmth radiating off of him onto your back, which had you blushing and he knew it. Leo isn't shy about lingering touches that he played off as corrections but he was clearly trying to fluster you. He sneaked in a kiss or two as well.

Once you got the stances down more or less, he took a couple of steps back, having you repeat some movements with the blades, both defence and offence. Then he just looked at you, kinda lost in thought.

You were expecting him to correct you or make remarks about your stance, but he was just silent.

“Why are you staring at me?” you laughed, slightly embarrassed at the way his eyes roamed over you incessantly.

“Because I think you’re beautiful,” he said with a genuine smile. 

A furious blush spread on your face, and you almost let the katanas fall to the ground as your heart skipped several beats. 

🟣 Donnie

The adrenaline of the fight at the store and the excitement of bringing your gift had you unaware of your state.

But just as you were entering the lair you started feeling some stinging at the corner of your mouth.

You wiped over it, expecting it to be bruised.

But instead you felt something damp and warm.

Now you understood the looks you had gotten on the street.

You went directly to the lab, knowing you'd find Donnie there.

When you greeted him he looked up from his work, and for a split second he grimaced when he took your face.

“You’re bleeding,” he remarked.

“No kidding,” you deadpanned.

He asked what happened as he cleaned the wound.

You explained all you had to go through to get a certain object.

He asked what could possibly be worth all the trouble.

When you took out the wrapped box and passed it to him, at first he had a questioning look on his face, his drawn eyebrows rising in surprise. “For me?” he was quietly asking, as your gesture took him off-guard. 

Donnie felt a bit conflicted, knowing that you got hurt because of him indirectly. But you reassured him it was nothing and you hoped he'd like it. So he took the box cautiously, not sure what to expect. When he opened it up, you could see the roller coaster of emotions that went through  his eyes and you smiled victoriously to yourself.

The turtle thanked you, bringing you in for a hug and telling you how much he loved it, and that he couldn't wait to rub it in his brothers’ faces that he had this, and that you got it for him. 

“You’re the best partner ever,” he muttered into your shoulder as he hugged you again, and you smiled with a hum at his comment, softly swaying from side to side in his arms. He didn't let go immediately, though, so you stopped moving, holding onto him a little tighter.

“You really shouldn't go so far as to getting hurt like this for me,” he said in a quiet voice.

“Oh please, I can take a punch or two,” you retorted, pulling back to look at him and placing a quick kiss on his cheek. “Besides, you're worth it.”

At that, Donnie hugged you even tighter, and you let him hold you as long as he needed.

Career

Leonardo ends up reviving Lou Jitsu's School of Ninjutsu! He becomes the dojo master of the last location, seen in season two of the canon show, and sparks the next generation to return. He, of course, has a medal that turns his appearance human like Sunita and Big Mama has.

He paints his red marks on his human disguise face, and it catches on. The Dojo students copy his marks and do the same. Leo calls them his "Cadets".

Relationship Status

He goes on many dates, and has a "player" or "playboy" stage, but never gets into a serious relationship. He remains happily single for his life, although he loves the Dojo kids and his nephews and nieces.

Living Arrangements

He lives alone in an apartment directly above where he lived in the sewers, and keeps his old room his. He picked up some "peepaw" hobbies, like having houseplants and fishing, and his decor reflects that. He doesn't have a TV, after going thru a self-care hyperfixation, but does have workout equipment.

Additionals

He looks much younger than he is because there wasn't an apocalypse, so he got to focus on his self-care more.

He still does ninja things and goes on missions with his brothers every weekend or so. HE HAS BOTH ARMS. Despite popular headcanon of him losing his arm regardless, I think he'd still have it. He actually got a tattoo on his arm that he was supposed to lose, due to Casey Jr telling him about his sensei. Honoring him.

Although he has no kids or spouse....he has a German shepherd puppy. It's a vague idea, but I definitely think he'd have one.

Tiger Sister au prologue

"Ever since I can remember, I was told as a cub that I was destined for the greater good of all yokai. That I was the hidden city's last hope against the human threat,tat it was my destiny. But now that I look back,I think that my true destiny was to protect both the humans and yokai, and now probably even the planet. If someone from the future told me that I would date a human samurai vigilante, live in the sewers with four turtles and a rat,save the world from a demon called the Shredder and stop an alien invasion I guess that the old me would never believe them. Draxum always said that humans were sinister and evil and I would someday eradicate them all. Now I am 16,and I realise that not all humans are sinister and evil. They can surprise you with the kindness in their hearts when you look for it. I have my family to thank for everything that happened to me today. Splinter, Raph, Mikey, Donnie, April and Leo. Especially Leo. If I never ran away he would have never found me and I would have never been able to experience true warmth and happiness of a family, and I would have never had a lot of wacky and chaotic adventures with my brothers. From the mystery of the Stockman supermarket Gumbus to helping dad and April save the last Lou Jitsu dojo. And most importantly, I would have never managed to feel that I have someone who would always have my back and be there for me when I needed them. I guess the saying 'Anatawa hitorijanai' really is a family promise. My name is Catherine Hamato, and this...this is my story."

Lou Jitsu fled the lab with the four turtles his arms,carrying them to safety. Draxum tried to stop him,but it was too late. He himself was about to flee to safety until he heard what sounded like a desperate cry for help. He turned around to see that Lou Jitsu had left one of his experiments behind. A baby now mutated Bengal tiger cub was crying for help,unaware what was happening and where the strange man with the odd-looking turtles that dropped her was. Draxum used his vines to grab the only test subject he had left as his gargoyles lifted him up into the air and carried him and the cub to safety. Once out of harm's way,Draxum looked at the little mutated cub in his hands and then at his destroyed lab. He was beyond furious that all of his hard work was gone. But at least there was hope for the yokai as he managed to save the last test subject he had. An infant female tiger cub. She was the yokai's last hope against the human threat. She was going to be one of the greatest warriors that ever lived. Draxum walked away from what remained of his lab with his gargoyles following him and the young tigeress in his hands. It would take a very long time to rebuild the lab and to replicate the ooze,but for now he had his little soon-to-be warrior with him. And as long as Baron Draxum had her,there was still a chance to save the yokai from the human race.

Finally caught up to the latest chapter and!! BRAIN AND BRAWNS DUO!!! They are so severely underrated as a dynamic in the show so I savour every bit cooked by the fandom-

Gosh, Raph is one of the biggest MVPs in Weak Spot. He's been carrying his family's sorrows for far too long by the looks of it and by god he deserves a long rest and a cold pillow.

ALSO!!! "We don't NEED you here, but we WANT you here." made me bawl for some reason, it's the message!!

Reader stan! I hope you're still improving health wise!!

Omigosh, that is for sure. Raphie is my second fav Rise boy, but I put a lot of thought into how the dynamics go in Weak Spot. I think most people would think Mikey would be the logical choice to get closest to Donnie first because that's how the dynamic goes in the show, but it was hard for me to see that for Weak Spot Donnie. When you grow up with a hyper person, you have an easier time dealing with them (my bestie knows this with me without question), but when you don't have that experience, it can be hard or exhausting later in life.

Trauma shaped the Weak Spot turtles and by extension their personalities. It was important to me to keep their cores the same so they'd read as the same characters, but also they had changed in undeniable ways. For Raph it was eventually deciding to separate himself from the family while also honoring it in the only way he could. He runs the Lou Jitsu School of Ninjutsu and brought it back from the brink so it is now one of the most thriving dojo chains in NYC. He went the route many older sibling do when it comes to trauma and that was take that 'I have to take care of the younger ones' mentality of responsibility and marry it with the mentality of 'I can't keep giving my life to them because I need to break away.' I'm rambling, but this made him the quiet, most thoughtful, and overall most genuine of the group which, even as a bad guy, Donnie is drawn to. Especially when Don is loudly and obviously averse to how fake he thought the others were being in trying to fold him into the family, Raph having never overtly done that and having given up trying to the fastest already meant something. Then in their time together that view only expanded until Raph decided to obviously quit the team which for Donnie was a great show of where the eldest stood. Raph then upheld that promise which cinched his character in Donnie's eyes. We'll see how they act going forward, but I imagine great things for the pair~

Anyway, I love Raph! Thanks for giving me a chance to rant about him!

I know that Draxum is an asshole here, BUT please tell me a couple of cute moments between him and Leo?

The thing about Draxum in this AU is that he IS an asshole, he is very strict and when it comes to raising One he had spent 13 years dancing over the line of abusive parent

He will deny being One's parent (One would deny being his child too), so he might not be his dad legally or emotionally but he is his dad like... spiritually, I guess.

You don't get to raise a child, being his caretaker and his boss without accidentally filling the spot of "father figure"

I want to do a little doodle sheet of just Draxum raising One, but I haven't got the time so here are some of the scenarios I want to draw plus other things I have thought about but are not gonna be able to fit in the story in an organic way:

One learned to call Draxum "boss" bc he heard Huggin and Munnin calling him boss

At first he could just say "bo"

One has been a very talkative child since the beginning, and a very curious one, he would keep pointing at things and making noises until Draxum told him what that thing was.

He had a very long "why" phase that drove Draxum mad

Since he could walk he turned into a menace, it was easy to confine him into one place when he couldn't, but then he would just walk around and start climbing whatever he saw. Draxum lost him many times around the lab

Sometimes Draxum would be working or just chilling and he would hear a thud on the distance and sigh deeply, knowing One was climbing something and fell

One always had at least one bandaid on him because of this

He was going to tell him his human DNA came from Lou Jitsu but decided to first show him an old recording of Lou fighting on the Nexus arena so One could know what Draxum expected from him

One quickly became obssesed with Lou and Draxum decided against telling him the whole truth, thinking he would just become more annoyingly obsessed with the human if he did

Some days latter Draxum found One was still watching the video on loop, turns out the kid was memorizing the moves, he shows Draxum and fails to nail a very simple kick, Draxum doesn't give him any pointers of how to fix his form, just curious to see how far he can go without help

A week latter One surprises Draxum with the fact that he alreay learnt how to do it on his own. He is very impressed with the boy and agrees to his pleas of leting him learn martial arts

Draxum signs him in to a dojo on the hidden city. He doesn't last too long and gets kicked out for "being too agressive"

Draxum doesn't show it but thinks that's hilarious

After being kicked out of other two dojos he decides to train him himself while he grows a little older and he can sign him into a dojo for grown ups.

As a kid One insisted in being though how to manipulate vines like Draxum, he doesn't think the kid can learn to do it but teaches him just so One stops insisting.

It takes him a long while but he learns to do it. Draxum seems genuinly happy while teaching him.

He also enjoys his weekly sparing matches with One.

Draxum gave him his scarf as a gift

One's old uniform was almost completely black, just with some golden details to match him, One kept insisting he should be wearing blue since it is his favorite color. when he outgrown it and Draxum send to make a new one he gave in and let him had his blue accents.

news of his four kids gets out, but the turtle-shaped secret manages to remain a secret. in part because a certain goat-man alchemist will eventually gift yoshi with some cloaking brooches, also in part because april’s mom will do anything short of physically attack reporters in the street to protect the boys’ identities

and there’s definitely pressure for more lou jitsu movies but if there’s one thing yoshi’s good at since the pit battles, it’s refusing to cave in to demands. he’s a full-time dad now. maybe he spends more time at his dojos though or pops up in interviews and stuff more often. just him being around after dropping off the face of the planet causes enough of a resurgence in lou jitsu popularity that those residuals checks are fatter than ever

media where an asian man is 1.) the lead—not a supporting character and 2.) a hero are important because they're not roles given to asian men in amercia. you'd think it'd be appreciated rep. i also wonder if lou jitsu's films had romance in them as asian men are typically viewed/portrayed as being the bottom of the dating pool and are desexualized in america, unlike asian women. this was EVEN MORE prevelant in the 70s and 80s and 90s. it'd be great for lou jitsu to challenge that bias

yeah! I’m glad they tackle on the treatment on bipoc actors in the film industry, it feels accurate and still goes on today with other influential people !! To answer your question he was replaced 2 times!! (I just remembered about the storyboard I’m gonna mention rn😭 ) so there was gonna be a reboot of Lou Jitsu based on this storyboard panel that was scrapped. There isn’t much info about who was gonna be casted but it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth that he gets replaced while he’s missing???

Yoshi used to have many dojos around New York but after his disappearance, it has been taken over by his rivel actor Khristoff Van Branford who happens to white. He views Yoshi to be irrelevant, a “scene-stealer” and a “whiny bellyacher” whatever that means. It may be out of jealousy of how successful he was. Tho he hasn’t done any raunchy things rather than just him taking over his dojos and his past with him feel,, racially motivated.

I’m not entirely sure if there was any romance in his films since most of films are mentioned by the name or just show a small fight scene. Though he did HAVE SEVERAL EXES during his career if that counts but we don’t know much about them except for big mama. He did co-star with Tang Shen who happened to be Yoshi’s love interest in other interactions in tmnt but it’s unknown what relation status rather than acquaintances in rise since she’s only shown once
