I HAVE and this is honestly the first week i've been actually invested in watching the next ep omg!!! they're doing interesting stuff!!

THERE'S SO MUCH TO TALK ABOUT OMG. first of all i have to say the late great ray stevenson/ baylan is absolutely the highlight of the show acting & character wise, there's so much depth he's putting into the character somehow like every line he says i'm shoving sabine and ahsoka aside like this is my new fave sorry lesbians. biggest cuntserve of the show

HOWEVER COMMA THE REASON I'M SO INVESTED IS BC IT'S SUCH A GREAT WRITING CHOICE TO HAVE SABINE GIVE INTO HER ATTACHMENTS AND JOIN THE THRAWN STANS TO GET EZRA BACK. YES!!! SHE WOULD!!! she isn't ready to let go of her attachments!!! she won't do as ahsoka says!! fuckin anakincore of her!!! willing to raze the galaxy for the last few parts of her family!! LITERALLY CANNOT WAIT TO SEE WHERE THIS GOES

Also I think the direction was a lot better? I'm shit at clocking how good fight scene direction is but there were a lot of scenes that just felt so much stronger than the prev eps? like when sabine puts the ball in baylan's hand they made you FEEL the weight of that moment with the pacing and camera and the sound design.

ACTUALLY THO THE FIGHT SCENES WERE A LOT BETTER THIS EP partly bc there was just. More to them? i liked how ahsoka dealt w marrok in 2 seconds basically indiana jones shooting the sword guy style bc that made the baylan/ahsoka fight SO MUCH MORE IMPACTFUL bc she's seriously trying and she's flipping and doing all this crazy stuff that makes you go shittttt these guys are super great jedi -- AND ALL WHILE trying to get the map so it wasnt just a "we're fighting bc we're fighting/ to not die" there was a very feasible objective on-hand to make the already great fight even better

and of course i have to talk abt That. i was poggin beyond belief when hayden showed up like LETS GOOOOOOO. and its super cool!!!!! but i do hope they do smthn interesting with this tho (I HAVE FAITH IN THIS SHOW AFTER THIS WEEK SO I'M HOPEFUL) and actually explore ahsoka and the super fuckedup complicated relationship she has w anakin/vader instead of going "ah its so nice to see you again!! im gonna ignore you murdered children and all our friends and tried to kill me etc etc bc people want to see us as friends!" like no i dont want that!! this should be her opportunity to work w the trauma they keep hinting at but not rlly exploring (ie w her taking on forceless sabine as a padawan or how she keeps acting like all that happened was she walked away from anakin and he didnt fall. it could be good writing for trauma) and have ahsoka like... accept the past accept what her master became and MAKE ME INVESTED IN THIS ITERATION OF THE CHARACTER. BC THERE HAS BEEN LIKE NO CHARACTER MOMENTS AND IT'S NOT HELPED BY THE ACTING/ WRITING!!

hmm the first time they kiss probably an impulsive. half-drunken thing. prolly after their first '''date''' (which roman insists is not a date despite calling him up and inviting him for dinner and drinks). it's rlly messy, roman is kind of an awful kisser at first (out of practice #nobitches) so aaron is kinda like...ok....but it's very endearing somehow.

What’s their relationship with each other’s families?

i could write a dissertation on. aaron and the roys. i think he's...polite? i mean, he knows roman is super close to them despite how fockin shitty they are to him all the time, so he's willing to grin and bear it. he doesnt like ken for Reasons (annoying on twitter, involvement in 'dog pound', annoying in real life)*, he's rightfully intimidated by shiv, he thinks connor is rlly fuckin funny, he has a weird psychosexual obsession w tom (as stated, would put tom in a saw trap), he thinks greg is cool and would like to talk about his record collection w him.

*authors footnote: i personally like kendall a lot i do love the fucked up brother dynamic between ken and rome BUT aaron is protective and an asshole and doesnt care abt nuance if youre mean to his boyfriend you go to the gulag for 1000 years ! aarons friends are hsi family! he lives w his childhood + college besties! they are all spectacular assholes as well so roman weirdly fits in! roman likes aarons bff because he is also a snarky asshole. one of aaron's college friends actually is from LA, so that's another person he can relate to somewhat. ovi he's a rich asshole tho and like, has to adapt to how normal people live and socialize (aaron and his friends arent even normal theyre like a weirdly codependent found family) but. they all kind come around to him! (will post extended oc universe lore someday on god)

i think they both are kinda stupid abt feelings and prefer physical affection, as sometimes its easier to manage than like, pouring your heart out. aaron is big on words of affirmation tho, once they r more comfy in their relationship/roman is more comfortable w receiving stuff like that.

Who remembers the little things?

aaron is def a romantic, he's big on anniversaries, quick to pick up little things like roman's coffee order, his favorite snacks, etc. roman is a little rusty but is surprisingly sensitive when he cares about someone. he's super in to aaron, so he makes sure to note all of aarons favorite movies and albums (so he can bring them up later and Totally sound like he knows what he's talking about).

KingSteve is Online was supposed to be a quick sequel to a ficlet I made ages ago, of an AU where Stranger Things was set in an ambiguously late 90s/ early 00s setting. Purely so I could make them IM using absolutely horrific chatspeak. And to make them chat even more - Steve has gone off to college with Robin, and Eddie is still stuck back in Hawkins. Feeling a little lost, and like everyone has moved on without him.

It feels like it could be a super long fic, and that's intimidating, so this wip has mostly fallen to the background. Whoops.

TLDR answer: trigun 98 -> badlands rumble -> trigun manga -> trigun stampede. going into why below. (under readmore bc this accidentally got long. again.)

ok well. common consensus is to watch the original anime (referred to as trigun 98 by much of the fandom) bc it has a slower start & lets you get to know the characters a lot more than the new anime (assisted by the 26 episodes length, as opposed to 12). it preserves the Mystery of what Vash's deal is for much longer, & is in general pretty entertaining to watch if you don't know wtf is going on. it's Legally on uh. crunchyroll? i think? tho i watched it here: https://aniwatch.to/trigun-266. just like. normal sketchy site safety, adblock is ur best friend, don't click on things. etc. if this site doesnt work for u then u could always google another.

there's a movie, Badlands Rumble, which is based off the trigun 98 canon, so probably a good place to watch it is right after that. just uh. be mindful that Vash's behavior is a Lil... obnoxious at points lol. but it's still a fun movie overall with plenty of good shit in it, so it's worth watching still. i watched it w/ a friend streaming it so i dont have a link onhand, but u could probs find it thru that same site if u search for it.

NEXT UP is my personal favorite, the manga. theres trigun original and trigun maximum, which is the direct continuation of the original (there was an issue with the publishers and licensing so upon continuing the manga w/ a different publisher, Nightow had to rebrand it. it's otherwise the same manga). i recommend this one next bc it's the most whole of story & goes deeper into things than the original anime, but it's also what the new anime is based on (aka why i recommend this one first). it can get FUCKED UP (they all can really, but trimax Especially) so probably look up a triggers list if u think u might need it. it's SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO fucking good tho. genuinely owns my soul. i was a different person after reading it (not rly better or worse, mostly just more insane). there r a few translations online - an old fan translation (DO NOT TOUCH, full of horrid translations and insertions of bigotry that arent in the original), the official Dark Horse translation (an... ok translation, though it has plenty of errors and confusing translations. it's what i first read so it's Okay, but not the best), AND the trigun manga Overhaul project, which u can find on tumblr. this one's the best one bc it's lovingly translated and a LOT more accurately done. i swear things that were so confusing at first are So Clear reading this one. u can find the masterpost Here: https://trigun-manga-overhaul.tumblr.com/post/701392615591034880/trigun-ultimate-overhaul-masterpost-heres-all-the. or just go to their blog @/trigun-manga-overhaul. just trust me on this it's where U wanna read.

an offshoot of it (and what ive been reading today) is an anthology sort of manga, Trigun Multiple Bullets, which is also in that post. it was released as part of the BLR movie release, & the first part is kinda After It? but overall it's just a standalone piece with some side stories. where is this in the manga canon timeline? Who Fuckin Knows. just read it and have fun lol

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST is the most recent anime, Trigun Stampede. this is a CGI remake that aired at the start of this year & caused the trigun renaissance. now a lot of people have a knee-jerk negative reaction to hearing it's CGI, but trust me, this is basically THE BEST application of CGI in anime i've ever really seen. absolutely beautiful. fucking gorgeous. plus with really cool action sequences, and OF COURSE the music is literally one of my favorite anime soundtracks Ever. it's gotten critiques for its pacing, which can be pretty rushed, but they were trying to fit a lot more story in a lot less episodes than the original anime (again, it only has 12 episodes), so keep that in mind. it's not a remake in the traditional sense of redoing the exact same story, so there are changes in the timeline and characters from what's in the original anime or even the manga. one of the biggest things people were unhappy about is the absence of a main character, Milly, who is seemingly replaced by a random man that's not in the other versions, Roberto. Milly will be in season 2 though, as was revealed with the final episode. all in all, it's Kind Of a prequel, though also a remix/reimagining based largely off of the manga's canon over trigun 98. so long as you go into it not expecting it to be Just Like the other versions, it's a really wonderful story in and of itself. it's available on Crunchyroll, which you SHOULD watch there if u have it bc that would give them more money for a season 2 (which is in development). if ur like me tho n dont wanna pay for crunchyroll (it's Specifically a premium-only anime :p), u can watch it where i watched, aka here: https://aniwatch.to/trigun-stampede-18281.

all in all, each version has its strengths and weaknesses, but i've found the best way to go about enjoying All of them is to treat them as their own things. it can be fun to compare them, especially when it comes to things made Different plot or character-wise, but they are separate things. a lot of people who hate one or the other r coming from the angle of expecting one to be just like the other, & are then disappointed (trigun 98 being a Lot sillier at first than trigun stampede, which is a lot more serious sci-fi western in tone).

And Overall. i love them all. so i hope you do too!

holy SHIT y’all the hiatus is over w a long ass session to start us off. i passed out so hard post session but now. i have things to say abt peoples characters and im going to say them. plus an added pronoun check for my own memory. this is a long post so ill pop it all under da cut. tldr at the end 2

IZZY | ALASTRELLE (they/he)

i LIKE THEM. i like them. i was very eyes emoji at their intro and im rly excited to see a druid. i have a feelin that theres a lot more 2 alastrelle than meets the eye but im not rly sure what. we got an insight check that he seems to know more than hes letting on... but like. idk. i have a feelin that theyre more like... they know stuff but not in a malicious way? mayb im bein 2 optimistic and alastrelle is just waiting 2 absolutely decimate every1. they DID heal ma’el tho so like... i think they do not want this. they seem kind. i want 2 know more.

CADILLAC | R-D 2.04 (pronouns unknown - seems to vary)

everybody is so mean 2 me image. r-d is rly. look. i love them but i also hate them. he’s so fuckin funny but also.... gestures broadly at the last hour of the session. she seems 2 b tha only character built 4 outright combat. at least from what weve seen. it seems like a lot of the others went 4 classes that cld offer support (from my limited knowledge of the classes themselves plus dnd) whereas cadillac built (literally) a beast. she seems really cool and had some rly amazing moments first session. designated antagonist im super interested to see how every1 is going 2 interact w the person who drew 1st blood!! also tha character we got the most backstory 4 session 1. kinda dont blame it for the murders but. i dont want any pcs to die T_T

HE’S COOL... the outfit is very wizardly but we know hes a cleric. am i right when i look at the ref art and see that hes purple. he is purple. he also shotgunned an unmentioned vial (WHY DID NO 1 ASK ABOUT THAT AUAUEUEGEUGH) and the rice and meat. chuggin ig. seems like... cautious? mayb suspicious but remarkably chill. well. i say chill. again. gestures at the last hour or so of the session. LUV the weapon design. would luv 2 see it do some more damage (see “r-d is built for combat” above. terrifyink). i want 2 know more abt his eyepatch and stitches and general deal. do we think hes an unethical doctor guys. would he kill u for like. fun.

Matt my love my sunshine they are an all pronouns mf she will use whatever u wanna call him so long as u agree that they're fucking gorgeous/beautiful/handsome/whatever. She's also intersex! Very comfortable as both masc and femme and is not afraid to dress up in either or, it all depends on his mood for the day. You stood from your seat, as did he. He held the pencil above and behind his head, so you lunged forward for it. With a bit of laugh, he dropped the pencil and wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you in tight. Your hand you reached for the pencil with landed on his shoulder in defeat. 

“You’re a prick,” you complained, although you made no effort to pull away. 

“Mhm, yeah, and you hate me so much. Shut up and kiss me already.”

He silenced anything else you planned on saying with a needy kiss. Almost immediately you melted, using your other hand to run through his hair. When you tugged gently, he groaned against your lips, pulling you tighter against him. Without a second thought, he walked you backward into a desk (luckily not the one you’d been sitting at) and you sat on top. His hands traveled down from your waist to your legs, guiding you to wrap them around his waist. 

You pulled away from him, putting a finger over his lips to stop him from following yours. “We shouldn’t be doing this, Ed. We’re screwed if he comes back in.”

“You didn’t seem to be complaining.” 

You groaned in frustration and laid your head against his shoulder. “Eddie Munson, you are such a pain in my ass.” 

“I could be if ya let me.”

“Ed!”

ermm back to gunpla hehe its 6 am im so tired im gonna sleep em anyway i love them soso much damn id so build a gunpla of their moedel in the episdoe.... yknow my dad used to record the edpisodes when they played on tv and idk was it a bug or there wasnt enough space anymore so he deleted all the episodes excepgt the las one or maybe seocnd last im not sure but anyway we kept rewatching it every now and then and go feral over how awesone it was it was the best endin episode i wached when i was a kid like shugo chara i didnt watch or they didnt play till like season 2/3 i think the wedding dress end and all that shit was crazy but the only other thing i watched was jewelpet and it was like not as crazy as this one i like it alot but build fighters was a lot more visually and emotionallly stunning lollll

i think if i had to choose a best ending for all the stuff i watched itd still be xyz tbh that shit was stunning and so. urgh. my heart. i get. so much agsjhahlf. its just so good. peaked tbh. then itd probably be build fighters tbh like idk man. delta was like. cool. very cool. but like. idk. build fighters either is more nostalgic or whatever it just appeals to me more than macross. it would be third tho. i think it is. then itd be shugo and then twinkle. these are like. the main stuff i have really core memorty w lmao. yeh i uess this is it. gn im so eepy

Suresh sleeps on the daybeds so you don’t feel uncomfortable

Suresh is telling the other boys you’re getting back together.

You get a chat with Alfie where you decide whether you want to pursue him (later, not now) or if you want him in the friendzone

Finn gets a text saying he’s got a date with each of the girls, and he has to go in the order of preference starting with the girl he likes most

He picks MC first.

He cracks on fuckin hard. You can kiss Finn on the date. Twice.

Finn’s had a foursome with three girls

Once you’re back in the villa, Alfie and Eddie arc up a little bit cause they think Suresh is playing games with you.

Finn used pretty much the same lines on you as he did on Kat.

Finn and Suresh get in a bit of an argument.

Turns out Suresh never told the girl he slept with that he had a gf. He was flirting with her for months before they finally slept together after you guys had a huge fight. She’s a waitress and has a turtle tattoo. Alfie sticks up for MC a bit and Suresh calls him out for hooking up with Kat.

KAT: I’m feeling cool, calm, neglected... Haven’t been centre of attention for at least four minutes.

Alfie comes and gives you a cuddle and tells you about his ex. He has the same thing as you, got cheated on by his first serious relationship. You bond. Kat interrupts and calls him out for hooking up with her and then immediately cracking on to you.

💎Episode 7

Alfie confesses to hooking up with Kat, and in the moment said he only had eyes for her. He said it just kinda came out and he regretted it immediately. Kat backs him up after saying he's genuinely into MC and tells you not to pie him off.

Chat with Suresh and he confesses more about the waitress, tells you Dana’s been flirting with him.

Chat with Finn where you get to call him out for kissing you (if you kissed)

Dana asks if its ok if she gets to know Suresh

Tell Dana whether or not its fine for her to crack on w/ Suresh

You're asleep on the daybeds and Alfie and Finn are talking. Kat wakes you up so you can eavesdrop with her. Alfie’s telling Finn he likes you a lot, and they concoct operation MC to get Suresh distracted so Alfie can crack on with you.

Alfie cracks on with you, you can kiss him (yay!)

Dana asks about you and her hooking up

For some fucking reason, Eddie’s name switches to Charlie. NO ONE KNOWS WHY. Henceforth he is called ChEddy

Alfie pulls you aside and apologises for arcing up at Suresh

He tells you more about being cheated on. He tells you his fam would love you.

YOU GET TO KISS HIM YAY

You also get to call Kat out for hooking up wit Suresh if you want.

Suresh decides he's sleeping inside tonight. For some reason we don’t get to go sleep on the daybeds??? Grrr

While you’re in bed, Suresh wants to reminisce about your first kiss and its really horny. ChEddy told Suresh he saw you hook up with Alfie if ya did

She becomes kind of distant and resentful if someone has something she wants- if its some physical thing, shell probably steal it. Not from the person she's jealous of but from wherever they got it- she doesn't want to steal from a friend! But shes not above stealing in general :/ if its a non object shes jealous of, like a loving relationship/etc? She'll probably try and imitate the bits of the thing shes jealous of and convince herself she has it.

Probably not :/ i mean that bitch is doing zoomies and wrestling around all the damn time, she needs way more exercise than the average human. Only lazy if she gets bored. If she gets bored she straight up finds some things impossible to do due to executive dysfunction, which may seem like laziness to some people.

D) Have they always had the same physical appearance, or have you had to edit how they look?

She didn't used to have freckles but I noticed a lot of people seemed to add them when they drew her and I liked it so added them on! As well, Her hairstyle fluctuates a lil bcs i and others have drawn her w a couple shades of the reddish/brownish hue. In canon ive added that this is bcs she sometimes dyes it ;)

oh!! oh!! oh!! about the hyrule sensing magic thing! when it comes to types of magic, i have my own personal hcs for the categorization and the way it works. basically, though people tend to categorize magic by things like element [fire magic, water magic, etc], the technical categories for magic refer to where it comes from, those being triforce magic [magic stemming from the triforce], kinetic magic [magic stemming from energy/movement], life magic [magic stemming from the inherent magic of an individual's life/soul, either the user's or another's], dark magic [magic stemming from the inherent magic of the dark world], light magic [magic stemming from the inherent magic of the light world], object magic [magic stemming from the use of a magical object], and mind magic [a complicated and difficult to master kind of magic stemming from the manipulation of someone's life/soul, most often in the form of their perception (this is different than life magic, as life magic is taking magic from one's soul and using it as energy for a magic act, while mind magic is leaving the magic in one's soul while changing it in order to alter their perception or ideas)]. i could go on and on about magic types and probably will at some point, BUT my point here is that hyrule mainly uses life magic, and therefore can sort of sense people's life magic, even if they're not using magic or don't even use magic at all. it's hard to describe how someone's life magic feels, and that feeling often fluctuates depending on what they're doing/how they're feeling/etc, but a lot of life magic users describe it in comparison to other things, hence "four tends to be more aggressive when they're blue". due to the lack of general information in 'rules era, he doesn't know a lot about exact magic terms or mechanics [though he's very skilled at the actual thing, sorta like a musician being really good despite not really knowing music theory], and doesn't really realize that other people don't really sense life magic like he does. upon figuring it out, he was bombarded with the others wanting to know what their life magic felt like, which he was happy to describe [mostly since he's never really had people to talk with or attention in general, and while he can get overwhelmed, he really enjoys being social when he's comfortable]!

GOEHF ACTUALLY small thing but. legend is. good at magic. he can sense other ppls magic? its all flowy and nice. he likes the feeling of alot of magic stuff. his magic makes him feel full and .
