ok look, I DID come across this post because of whatever is happening between me and Elrond’s hands (it’s normal,don’t worry about it) but I’m maybe just going to piss off some people and announce that I actually love the idea of an Elrond X Galadriel X Sauron love triangle. I also find the idea of Elrond+Galadriel=Arwen very cute. I am with Haladriel/Saurondriel 4evr,but we are allowed to like more than one ship and I genuinely think people need to calm down with the ship wars. I think collectively, we can blame Morfydd Clark for having chemistry with absolutely everyone and everything. We could ship her with her dagger if we really wanted to, she’s just that good and cute.

Let’s just enjoy these three beautiful(so good-looking it should be illegal),beautiful(well-written) characters together. Why not,after all?

Also,this is a personal take. I respect all other ships but no one has to ship the same things or believe the same thing in fandoms. Like I said,let’s just all have fun? ✨✨

Hi everyone!

Quick update from us.

So it is Sunday and most of you have probably watched the premiere episodes already, as have we. 😏

Nat and I have exchanged an astronomical amount of messages while watching (me to Nat because she watched first) and then later using voice notes. There was screaming involved, there were caps, too.

We have A LOT TO SAY. We are enthusiastic and excited and hey, watching these eps, being in Middle-Earth again, it felt like coming home. There’s no better feeling than that so it should tell you the vibe of what we’re going into recording with.

Yes! Our plan is to record a very snappy (mind you) pod episode encompassing our quick thoughts on the first four episodes of season 2. Then, all I can say for sure is that our schedule is going to be very irregular but at the end of the day we are committed to release the episodes on season 2 over an extended period of time similarly to how we did on season 1. We are sticking to… vibes. 🥲 And what our spare time will allow us.

I cannot get over the fact that in LotR:TRoP, Young Elrond is played by the same actor who played Young Ned Stark in GoT, and Old Ned Stark is the same actor who played Boromir in LotR.

Isildur tells Estrid that he never told anyone that it was his fault his mom died, but that doesn't necessarily preclude Elendil being aware of the situation.

It's possible that one or both of his other children were witnesses or someone else, or simply that he knew both his wife and Isildur well enough to at least guess at what had happened, especially with however Isildur acted in response to his sense of guilt.

Asking because, when we meet him, Elendil's faith in the Old Ways seems to have waned or be dormant, but not his faith in the Sea. Right off the bat, he defends his choice to bring Galadriel and Halbrand to Numenor with his now classic response of "the Sea is always right", so he seems to have reconciled with the force that killed his wife.

So has he accepted that the Sea was right to accept a mother's sacrifice to save her son and spared Isildur ? Did he shift blame to Isildur from the Sea? Or did he just learn to be zen about what happened to her as fate or whatever?

I dont know if I can emotionally handle watching the extended editions of The Hobbit right now, so I'm just going to rewatch Rings of Power for the millionth time to make me feel better.

Morfydd Clark: Yeah, I think [Galadriel] feels so guilty because she clearly messed up kind of monumentally. It's very kind of sobering for her to be around Elrond because he knows her so well and knows all her secrets and kind of knows the depths of her mistake and betrayal really.

Robert Aramayo: I think with the two of them it runs it's like it runs so deep, the connection between them that it sort of feels undeniable. It's a love, really. The bond is really strong.
