MY SHIKATEMA FANFIC RECS MASTERLIST PART 1

As someone who has been reading ShikaTema fanfiction for 18+ years, and who to this day reads it on a daily basis, I realized that I should probably make a fanfic recommendation post. I hope this is helpful to my fellow ShikaTema fans. I have read all of these multiple times over the years. I’ll be organizing them mostly based on setting/arc. Bold titles mean they are my all time favorites. I will place an M for Mature or any Explicit fics. I will be updating this list in the future, as I find more fics that I've might've missed in my favorites while writing this first draft, or as new fics are uploaded. Also can I just say how I can’t believe that I randomly decided to work on this throughout Shikamaru and Shikadai’s birthday?

omg tysm for this question I love talking about my fav fics ESP BC SO MANY OF THEM ARE NON AOT 🙈🙈 I had to go to my ffn favs for this hihi

so this is list is home to the fics that I have truly idolised, read repeatedly and tried to emulate in some way or another in my own writing journey:

1. Heartbeat by letmeannoyyoutoday. U must have heard me screaming about this fic before. It is god tier, the angstiest, the most painful Sasusaku you can imagine. There isn’t even smut in it but still I’m rendered a sobbing mess everytime I read this story. And I read it every fortnight or so, I swear. canonverse. sasusaku get married.

2. The most dangerous things by Childoftheashes. Man this fic is the tastiest thing in the ichihime fandom istg. Ichigo is unapologetically horny and bossy and slutty and I love everything about it. Orihime is absolutely clueless and drives him up a wall and it’s literally completely smut! This author is one of my smut senseis. I also really love "chasing paper tigers like dreams" by her.

3. Sometimes I think the stupidest things by starsinew. Ok I’m sorry for putting this here bc this user doesn’t have this fic up anymore (I managed to find the epub and thank fuck for that) but I had to talk about it bc this fic changed me on a fundamental level. I fell in love with it so much, even to this day I look back at it with an education lens as to how to write smut. God tier. I hope this author is well and living their best life.

4. Friends with Benefits by confused panda bear. Syaosaku, card captor Sakura. Again a story that doesn’t exist anymore online but I still remember some of the dialogues bc they were so iconic. Definitely a primer on smut writing for me. I invite you to check out their other stories tho they’re literally the harugou mother, birthing the most insane crackship in the free! fandom and getting everyone else drunk on it thanks to their god tier writing.

5. Clarity by randomteenager — angsty but silly gruvia. i love it so much.

6. Seeking Ginny by Casca. Harry/Ginny fic with heavy emphasis on Ginny's personal growth.

7. How to Coexist by Spoilerarlert and also washed up and rundown, I haven't finished it yet but fuck its amazing so far. Both are modern AU stories, one in NYC and the other in Chicago. I can't recommend this author enough, they have a very original and compelling style of writing.

8. Little Beast by herblacktights. This is my fav modern au, high school eremika. If you haven't heard me raving me about this fic already then ur obviously new here. ITS AWESOME! go read it now

9. Dog by Ackermom. floch x eren at it's unhealthiest best. canonverse. This author is one my favs actually, I devour ALL of her work, no exception. I also really enjoyed her reibert fics.

10. Icarus & I by bluinary. Armin-centric. Modern AU. I read this many years ago but I think of it often. I loved Armin's journey in this fic.

11. Three Days by Lotos-Eater. Canonverse. An angsty smutty Shikatema fic where Shikamaru thinks he's lost her.

12. For everything there is a season by SouthSideStory. If y'all are sasusaku stans then you know SouthSideStory already. She's phenomenal. This one is angsty sequel which delves into Sakura's feelings post miscarriage. I highly recommend the prequel as well.

13. Fool for you by Hand of Destiny. Syaosaku. Card Captor Sakura. Syaoran is a business mogul from a very traditional Chinese family. Sakura is an innocent girl who decides to try giving the escort profession a go. God tier, I swear. It also has a sequel!

14. lost girl & found boy. eremika. lost girls-verse. mikasa wants to know how babies are made, etc. cw: teen pregnancy.

15. all you want by senlinyu. i just binged this yesterday. holy shit. it's the big daddy of m/f omegaverse fics, I swear. dramione. canonverse + omegaverse. really really good!!!

After rereading the entire SVTHSA book series last month (multiple times because I’m that person), I’ve been writing fanfiction again! I also rewatched the Love Simon move and watched the entirety of S1 of Love Victor last week.

I want to take some prompts/requests within the following parameters:

1. No AUs (canon-divergent is fine, but not completely AU).

2. Venji, Spierfeld, and Bursuso are acceptable ships to request.

3. I write almost exclusively in first person, but I can do third person omniscient if requested. (please tell me whose perspective you want; any of the 6 characters involved in the ships are fine.)

4. When requesting Spierfeld, please specify if book or movie universe. Bursuso only book universe please and Venji only movie universe obviously.

The blonde Rohirric man stopped as a gleam of something shining caught his eye. Stooping, he gingerly picked up a silver brooch, shaped in the head of the Aurochs that hailed from Eriador. 

“Signoth! Did ye find something?” He heard the footfalls of his companion trotting from behind. Signoth held out the trinket in answer.

“Aye. We must be on her trail...” The grim tone of his voice did not match the hopeful words. “Keep your senses alert, Wilnoth. There’s a fell air about this place.” As he spoke, a faint whiff of the stink of blood and rot made his heart sink. Worry for their dwarven companion growing within him. She had been insistent on scouting any remaining bands of orcs that had been reported throughout the Sutcrofts of Rohan. The Rohirric brothers had seen her skill with an axe and dagger, and were confident she would return triumphant within an hour. 

It had been at least a day since they last spoke with her.

He silently cursed the dwarf. But the blame was equally on them for not insisting they accompany her. Still, there was a chance she was alive, and just had to hide out somewhere. Whatever happened, all Signoth knew was that it had turned ill. 

They followed the harsh scents to the cliff edges of the croft watch, the reek growing stronger. As they crested a rise, Wilnoths’ gasp of horror told him what he would find. A grisly scene lay before them. Blood soaked the ground, the remains of orcs littered about. In the midst of the pile of corpses, hardly recognizable, a dwarf lay face down. Dead. The orcs must have overtaken her, but Signoth felt a peculiar sense of triumph that she took her enemies down with her before succumbing. 

“Bema...” Wilnoth whispered beside him. Invoking the name of the Great Hunter for comfort. “We should have been with her!” Signoth nodded, the regret threatening to overwhelm him. ”Take her back to Garsfled. I’ll find her own steed, if he lives.” Wilnoth hesitated, but his brother waved him away. “I will be fine. No orc escaped with their life here today. Now make haste!”

Signoth scouted the perimeter of the cliff face, searching for the body of the stallion the dwarf rode. Her steed may have escaped the carnage, but he must have sustained heavy wounds, only to succumb someplace else.  From the first moment he met the creature, there was no doubt he was a horse of Rohan. Finding him was not only out of respect for his rider, but for his heritage. And so it wasn’t long before a trail of blood led him towards a cave within the cliff sides. Dismounting cautiously. he lit the lantern he had on his person, and ventured inside. 

The blood trail grew thicker, then seemed to thin again as he followed. Surely the place would be covered in it if the horse had died here? Steeling himself, Signoth rounded the corner. His breath hitched at the sight that lay before him. 

“By the House of Eorl...”

The horse was alive. But his appearance suggested that he should be anything but. A wild, mad light danced in his eye...

i'm gonna write an office AU, in which the HR department sents Mobius (who just hates his job and is bored af) to check on the interns because there's someone that has been causing trouble: changing the time of all the clocks in the building, changing the links of the TVA website for links of Never Gonna Give You Up, and just pranking everyone really. The management team don't know who is doing it, and Ravonna send Mobius to that department to discover who is behind it all; there he meets Loki, this college students who run on black coffee and sarcasm. And they obviously fall in love.

So you know how coffee shop AUs are a big cliche in fanfic? Who’s gonna write the lokius coffee shop fic? It would be so stupid in the best possible way. Two tired middle aged men falling in love over Mobius’s coffee order. Please I need it.

Chibis Gardenverse Lothelios - Parte 1🌸

Regresé, y tengo más dibujos de este AU pendejo que estoy roleando y, si Dios quiere y no me muero haciendo malabares entre mi vida social, la universidad, dibujar, Genshin y el fanfic de MDZS, capaz salga un mini fic de esto, quién sabe-

Pero hasta entonces solo dibujaré sucesos y escenas de este AU todo bonito porque puedo, quiero, y dependo emocionalmente de estos jotos.

Me veo en obligación de hacer una aclaración. Helios al principio de la historia produce camelias de color blanco, más adelante rosadas que van escalando hasta el color rojo, y finalmente termina dando lotos de rosa pálido. Esto es debido al significado que tienen las flores respecto a lo que siente por Lotus y a su entrada a una boutonniere del tipo Edén (una relación armónica y perfecta entre come flores y floricultor).

🌸Las camelias blancas simbolizan sentimientos de estima, gratitud y admiración. Lotus le salvó la vida a Helios de entrar al estado vegetativo por su atasco floral como dos veces, así que eso se explica solo(?)

🌸Las camelias rosadas simbolizan el deseo de tener más cerca a la persona que recibe las flores. Aplica debido a que al principio la relación de Helios y Lotus es tipo muérdago y solo se benefician con el tema de las flores, mas no intentan entablar algún tipo de relación, hasta que la convivencia diaria los hace caerse mejor al punto en que siempre esperan al día siguiente para verse. Lo curioso es que no creen que el otro los considere un amigo xD 

🌸Las camelias rojas simbolizan amor y esperanza. Toman este color cuando Helios finalmente se enamora de Lotus. También siguen siendo camelias hasta poco después de que empiezan su boutonniere, y después se vuelven lotos.

🌸Los lotos no tienen ya mucho que ver con su significado en el lenguaje de las flores, sino que... Bueno... Lotus xd Lotos, no necesito explicarme.

En base a eso pueden hacerse una idea de la cronología de los dibujos.

Este no necesita mucho contexto, solo quería dibujarlos mimiendo juntos después de tirar(?)

En el gardenverse las flores crecen naturalmente, pero me gusta el concepto de que éstas reflejen de cierta forma las emociones del floricultor. Cosas como desflorarse (que tus flores pierdan pétalos y estos vuelvan a crecer de forma constante, está más relacionado al golpe de emociones positivas), el crecimiento de hierbas (estrés pasajero, enojo) y el atasco floral (shock emocional/trauma).

Helios es alguien que no siempre es honesto respecto a lo que siente, por diversos factores, pero sus flores no pueden mentir(?)

Y sí, las camelias que yo dibujo son muy simples, no me molesten >:(

Contexto de la escena: Helios se expresa en inglés con la idea de que Lotus no lo entienda, así puede desahogarse sin consecuencias. Al iniciar su muérdago, una de las condiciones de Helios era que no hubiese contacto directo, así que lo que solían hacer era que Helios se arrancaba las flores, Lotus las comía y después trataba sus heridas pasándole el pulgar. Ya saben, lo que hacen las mamás y las abuelas para limpiarle la cara a los niños(?). Sin embargo en cierto punto de la historia, Helios rompe esa regla al dejarle tener contacto directo, debido a que le fue agarrando confianza a Lotus.

Básicamente, en esta escena le dice que le gusta cómo se hace cargo de sus flores y cómo lo trata, porque Lotus es la única persona que lo ha tratado tan amablemente. Pero el tema es que, cuando le dijo eso, no contó con que Lotus sabe hablar un chingo de idiomas y le entendió todo(?) 

Lotus para ese momento ya estaba bastante pegado a Helios, así que lo que dice le conmueve mucho, y por piedad, se hace el pendejo y finge que se cree la excusa de Helios de solo estar probando si sabe hablar otros idiomas xd

Este ya es muy random. Una broma interna es que Lotus podría regar a Helios usando su magia, ya que él es un mago de agua xD Pero, claro, el riego a los floricultores no es como el de las plantas, y Lotus es un asco en la magia.

Contexto: Después de que Helios se encontrara con Frederik en la biblioteca y éste le diera un putazo cuando se pelearon por un libro (curiosamente uno que ambos le querían llevar a Lotus sin saberlo), Helios fue re caliente a su reunión diaria en el molino con Lotus. Literalmente entró puteando todo xd En esta versión del gardenverse los brotes de hierba pueden surgir por emociones fuertes y desagradables, además de hacerlo espontáneamente. Eso ya depende de cada floricultor, en Helios es usual que crezcan cuando está como perro rabioso(?)

Los siguientes dibujos son de una escena que toma lugar poquito después, cuando ya Helios se calmó y dejó a Lotus hacer la suya, aunque es una versión alterna en realidad xD

Dicen que si te acercas al pabellón de Muelle de Loto a las dos de la mañana, en una noche sin luna, podrás avistar al antiguo líder de la secta Yunmeng Jiang, trenzando su cabello antes de sumergirse en el lago.

Después de 10 minutos, si escuchas la superficie del lago burbujear, se recomienda dejar una ofrenda.

Si escuchas el sonido de una pequeña campana, retírate inmediatamente.

Si esperas hasta el amanecer, el líder resurgirá del lago, luciendo su antiguo uniforme, dirigiéndose al área de entrenamiento antes de desvanecerse en la niebla matutina.

Si te quedas dormido en el muelle, el aroma a licor te despertará al amanecer, y notarás semillas de loto a tu lado...

They say if you approach the Lotus Pier pavilion at two o'clock in the morning, on a night without moon, you will see the previous Yunmeng Jiang Sect Leader, braiding his hair before diving into the lake.

After ten minutes, if you hear the surface bubbling, it is recommended to leave an offering.

If you hear a tinkling small bell, leave immediately.

If you wait until dawn, the Sect Leader will come up from the lake, wearing his previous uniform, heading towards the training area before fading into the morning mist.

If you fall asleep on the pier, the smell of liquor will rouse you at dawn, and you will notice lotus seeds leftovers at your side.
