There's something beautiful about Hob not knowing Dream's name. Dream is more than just a god, he's the personification of all dreams, an even more powerful being. When other characters speak to him, they usually show their respect and great manners. Even Cluracan calls him sire and Lord Shaper. The only people who don't do this are his family... And Hob. Because Hob doesn't know who Dream is. He just knows him as his friend. He calls him "you" when he's speaking to Dream. "Oh, it's you". "Hullo, you". Etc. Dream probably finds it very refreshing, that's why he doesn't tell Hob his name. He doesn't want Hob to see him as the King of All Night's. He wants Hob to see him as his friend.

omg! I'm so old. I saw that gorgeous art and I ALREADY had "Flashdance...What a Feeling" playing in my head before I read about the reference! LOL.

How did this happen? @cuubism came up with the incredibly enticing idea to put Dream in the black leather pants. Then @magnusbae dutifully passed this brainrot into my brain. Brainstorming this was so so wild :D.

Dream's names go so hard ngl. King of Dreams, Lord of Nightmares, Shaper of Form, Prince of Stories, the first/original storyteller, guardian of the Dreaming, I once heard someone on here call him the Aether of Imagination. What even is that?? Cool af that's what
