A bit curious and I dont remember ever asking so- what would Blue Moon think of the lovely Lord Crimson crew? Prince Lunar would probably be a nightmare for them since he'd automatically assume that they're an Eclipse

You never asked me, but I did ask you. A lot of the previous conversations were Blue Moon begging them to use his nickname and not call him eclipse. Him not playing lunars unfair games. I also vaguely remember a hissing match? Don't remember much else though.

Blue Moon will take Lord Crimson with curiosity. Solar will get his "You're going to shatter like glass" treatment. Lunar is irritating. He just wants to play a normal game not an unfair one. Monty is the only one he might be aggressive against. But it's only when he bothers him.

More Swap Au shenanigans!

So for anyone going, "Hey wait. Shouldn't Lord Oyster and Abalone be dead considering A Mermaid's Tale take places hundreds of years ago?" Yeah, they should. However, I made it so that instead of our Oyster and Captain Caviar being the elders, it's Lord Oyster and Abalone. (I hope that makes sense)

I unfortunately can't do much with them until we get the second half of the update, but hey, at least Abalone ain't a douche in here.

This part of The Crimson Horror novelization lives rent free in my mind:

‘I could materialise the TARDIS around her on stage!’ cried the Doctor. ‘No—’ he concluded bitterly. ‘Too conspicuous. Blow pipe?’ ‘What?’ ‘Use a blow pipe dart to knock her out. Just for a bit. Long enough to get her back here. Strong cuppa. Two rounds of toast. Gentle interrogation…’ ‘Right,’ I sighed. ‘Or—’ ‘Befriend her as a child! Easy! I can nip back in the TARDIS, make a huge impression on her when she’s just a nipper then reappear in her life and then it’ll be all bunting out, hail the conquering Doctor, all that. It’s worked before!’

He liked the results on Amy, so he tried it on Kazran Sardick, until causing lasting childhood trauma is one of his go-to solutions for easy compliance! That's my eleven. My eldritch horror.

Also I’m definitely playing with the idea of the black pearl story’s truth being lost to time.

So this would be using my au context but picture this:

On the gem mermaids side, perhaps the story turns into the youngest sister being tricked by land cookies, giving away a precious gift that was used to destroy Tearcrown, the sea, furious at her little moon being struck down by these selfish and greedy cookies, summoned a sea monster to destroy them. The monster however destroyed what remained of Tearcrown too, and was later sealed there to protect the rest of the ocean from its terror.

And from the oyster family side, it becomes a story of lord oyster surviving an encounter and bringing prosperity to the family due to a gift they got from a nieve mermaid. Said mermaid eventually became corrupt as cookies coveted the priceless pearl, but lord oyster prospered, bringing the family to fortune.

Funny enough, the oyster family story makes the connection about white and black pearl being one in the same, because the gem mermaids believed their sister was killed in the attack.

And unlike frilled jellyfish, she couldn’t come back.

But frilled was lost regardless, as she went into the blackened seas to find white pearl and never returned.

Look man I’m onto something here I love stories that loose their true meaning over time stuff!

Everyone’s reactions to finding out that Cole’s the Devourer

Jay - Absolutely horrified. He’s also really worried for Cole’s safety. He’s the first one to realize that they need to figure out a new plan that doesn’t involve destroying Cole.

Kai - Panic. He’s still considering going through with the destroying plan, but is quickly convinced not to.

Zane - He’s in denial. He doesn’t believe that this was possible, and keeps trying to convince himself that the Devourer ate Cole, and that they should avenge him.

Nya - Immediately tries to figure out how they’re going to get Cole back. But when he won’t listen to them she starts to give up on the plan.

Lloyd - He takes Jay and Nya’s side, and picks up Nya’s plan after she drops it. Decides that it’s his fault for releasing Pythor in the first place, and wants to make it up to Cole.

Wu - Doesn’t believe the ninja at first (very mad about getting eaten then spat back out), but after some explaining he wants to try and get Cole back to being human.

Garmadon - Absolutely fuming. Really wants to get rid of him. Still ends up running away with the Golden Weapons. He gets even more upset when he realizes that Lloyd’s pretty much claimed Cole as his big brother.

It shouldn’t have happened. None of this should have happened.

She should have kept her dear baby sister under a more watchful eye. Should not have let her leave the Kingdom. Should not have let herself be swept up by the waves of naïvety, should not have believed that her sister was truly just treasure hunting—

“Crimson Coral Cookie.”

Crimson Coral snaps to attention at the sound of her sister.

A soft voice, more flat in tone than Aquamarine Cookie or Gold Citrine Cookie, both of whom bothered her far more often—Mystic Opal Cookie. The loner of the Gem Mermaids.

“Mystic Opal Cookie,” she addresses her, breath swept away, gills closed, temporarily startled. “I was not expecting you. Is there anything you wish to report?”

“No,” Mystic Opal replies simply. “I just wanted to check up on you.”

“There is no need to do such a thing,” Crimson Coral asserts. “I am perfectly fine.”

“…For the sake of both of us, don’t lie to me.”
