what's your favourite aa character in the games, and what's your favourite aa character to draw? wondering if they're the same one or not! personally i looove drawing blackquill, but he's not my top aa character overall. just curious 🥰 (also if you can't decide on one i'll take top 3 haha)

full disclosure im still only on. aa3 case 1 so i dont know that much ab blackquill but his design goes soo crazy LOL so very valid. my favs both char/drawing wise are the same ! number 1 gotta be trucy because shes my darling girl my lovely girl she goes tee-hee!! the shapes her cape and scarves make are very fun to draw and i can add so many swoops to her hair and live my best life. 💖

my other fav is mr attorney himself 🫡 phoenix is the whole reason i got into aa in the first place he is so beautiful and i am in love with him..... his hair is fun to draw but it takes about. a million years to get the final sketch down if its front facing🥴and his eyes are even worse if its an angle im not used to. his nose is fun to draw though, mostly because i dont really give him his canon nose. i also really like drawing his little eye bags. he has bewitched me what can i say!

The MV and lyrics both work together to portray the experience of being an OFW/having an OFW parent. OFWs, or overseas Filipino workers, refer to Filipinos who go abroad in search of jobs that have better pay, so that they can remit money back to their families in the Philippines.

DAYANG, the term for the wife of a Datu, is one of their most earworming songs ever. It's a gorgeous love song and what I would recommend to newbies if they want to get into alamat <3

personal opinion: The MV is kinda ass because it's just a super long extended ad for DITO PH (in terms of story and also bc they really missed out on doing a vid that drew more on culture esp bc dayang is a historical noble title and they used tausug words and designs for the graphics an the dance itself already incorporated pangasik dance which is also from the tausug people LIKEEE?? they've always promoted other cultures of the philippines i know they can do it but because of CAPITALISM--). DAGUNDONG, a song basically recounting the colonial history of the Philippines from Spain to America, is just so fucking good you should watch/listen to it rn. I personally see him as someone on the background. He's as old as time itself and made literally every monster we see in the show, I see him largely as worn down and ancient at this point. I think the version we see of him in the show is just what Discord remembers, not what Grogar actually currently looks like

Everyone knows by now that I... LOVE Cozy Glow. I know its a common opinion but she seriously deserved better. A lot of my brain power is dedicated to thinking about her and Svengallop, who I headcanon to be her dad. I mostly think about the future, her reformation, her getting therapy and THE HELP SHE NEEDS.

As for Chrysi and Tirek... Tirek is cool, I cant say much about him! He's a cool looking villain and I think the fact that we got a centaur in g4 is really fun! I also looove that it means Scorpan exists... And that we can make up whatever we want about him >:3

Chrysalis is also sooo cool, I think her denying reformation is really interesting and in character. someone even called you a weirdo at the table gwen was sitting at.

gwen likes weirdos, even if they aren't really weirdos at all.

the thing about you that caught gwen's eye was your expressiveness. sure, you didn't talk much, but your face spoke for you.

like, when someone made a fool of themselves to impress the class, your lips curled with annoyance and your eyes rolled.

or maybe when the teacher fumbled her words and said something inappropriate, your shoulders relaxed a bit and you let a small grin stretch across your lips.

she was a breath of fresh air.of course, she could only think the same of you. you didn't stare at her, you gazed. you didn't hear her, you listened. you weren't nice to her, you were kind. you weren't snarky, you were clever.

a treasure like you can only mean friendship to her for so long.

friendly feelings only lasted a few weeks.

but she's gwen, so she didn't change anything after the afternoon she realized she loved you when she saw you in the clouds where her brother saw a tree.

she stayed that way, frozen in time while you packed your bags for the third year in a row to move. just like her dad.

so you left town, but you didn't really leave town because you still haunted gwen every night she stayed up until 2 in the morning, squinting her eyes shut as they stung with tears.

she'd lost the one person who knew everything she was going through.

but life goes on, and gwen is a friend of the dark, so she let the last bittersweet remnants of you ebb away from her mind and instead turned into her own thoughts once more.

high school was hard; not just the math but the people, too. she loved again, but never as hard as she loved you. sometimes she wondered if you were struggling the same way.

then suddenly, she didn't have to wonder anymore, because there you were on this stupid fucking show. she'd only auditioned to try to bring some money back home. she didn't sign up to see her first heartbreak, even if it wasn't your fault.

she wasn't going to ice you out, but she'd be lying if she said it wouldn't be awkward for her. she was wrong, though; the coldness melted instantly the second she heard your laugh.

it wasn't hard for you to recognize her. she had grown quite a bit taller and her face had sharpened with maturity, but her eyes were the same hypnotizing black depths. she had ditched her shoulder-length hair for a blunt bob. it suited her.

after the camp had settled down, you and gwen began to reconnect. her language was even fouler than you remembered; it was a relief to see her fundamentals hadn't changed. you even told her this, and for a second it looked like some color flushed her face. just for once.

the two of you discussed past relationships, and to your surprise she mentioned only two people. you suddenly regretted moving on and leaving the love you had for her to die.

yet you realized: your love had never been dead. just hibernating.

you wondered if you ever had a place in her heart the same way her exes had been.

listened to a little bit more of the first book yesterday, namely the party scene in chapter 5 or 6 or whatever. <3

loooove the detail about apple having this completely different opinion on headmaster grimm to raven. it mentions that when their parents were in school, the commoners weren't allowed to interact with the royals. but grimm implemented different rules because every tale is important no matter how tall, or whatever. some big grandiose statement

and apple thinks this was a wonderful idea from grimm, and that the whole school will benefit from this.

HOWEVER. we get a detail from maddie later about how it's so cool getting to see inside the royal common room, compared to the commoners common room which is much dingier

THATS SO FUNNY. LOL. apple is praising the headmaster for making the school so much more inclusive but it only extends to a party at the start of their final year. the rest of the time the elite are kept segregated. jesus christ <3

anyway with perspectives, so far from apple's pov, she hasn't seen much friction or had any issues outside of raven being a bit awkward around her and, now, raven ruining briar's party. apple is kind to her at the end and doesn't seem to blame her, but as the book goes on i wonder if you get the impression from apple's pov that Everything Would Be Perfect if it wasn't for raven being at the centre of every hint of tension. she's her villain after all !

im really interested to see how apple's perception of grimm develops throughout this series. id be interested in a readthrough of the books where you read all of raven's chapters together, then all of apple's chapters together, and see how things play out from each pov. especially with how they get treated by certain characters and how that'd colour your perception of them if that's the only side of them you're seeing

sidebar, like with maddie, i love how apple does not get her at all. lmao. especially as a contrast to raven's really lovely friendship with her. like maddie is wearing her dress upside down and the other girls are saying how it looks so fab, and apple is trying to join in (making it about herself <3) like "lol i don't think my dresses would work upside down </3", and maddie says "hmm maybe you should make yourself upside down and the dress will fit right side up :D" and apple like. unblinking says "...okay." END OF CONVERSATION LOL. SO SO SO FUNNY SHES SUCH A CUNT.

meanwhile, from raven's pov, she's had nothing but friction from everyone! between her mam at the start and worrying about her destiny and her magic coming in wrong and everyone treating her with fear and disgust, she gets a completely different view of the school and this society. just such a cool framing device to really point at how this system fucks people over and perpetuates all its own problems, turns designated villains into da joker baby, etc, and how easy it is for all of that context to go over the royals' heads even while they're perpetuating it

that being said, i loooove the choice to frame the party from apple's pov, really really clever. apple tries to bring raven into the fold of the party when she's already feeling vulnerable, raven gets her feathers ruffled by duchess, and suddenly raven's raising her voice and her hands are getting hot (looove the description of this and how apple lets go 😔) and she's shooting out spells which turn the birds into snakes. everyone's fears are founded now that raven's threatened everyone and ruined the party, and i love this first "villain" act from raven being framed from the royals' perspective. raven isn't given the interiority in the moment, she doesn't get to process her feelings on it with us, she's treated as this third person unknowable bad guy who can't control herself, she's just built like this apparently

taking raven's perspective away from her in her first real villain scene (evil queen wrecking the princess' party, following that sleeping beauty plot beat) and making us spectate on it, along with the rest of the party, feels so gut wrenching. this is the first of every successive time in her life that she doesnt get to be the main character in her own life, she only gets to be a fuck up at best and malicious at worst and it's never about her, it's about the harm she inherently causes

the closest we get to raven's pov in this is apple going back to their room afterwards and finding raven in bed, holding her pillow over her head (with an evil goblin face pillowcase from an evil goblin bedsheet set apple bought her INSANEGIRL I LOVE U).

but again it's apple's scene, and apple gets to give us her assessment of the situation as the moral of the story. she tells raven smth like "yes, school can be hard, but in real life things are gonna work out." ill need to find the actual quote bc apple says it's the thing that's gotten her through everything else, and she thinks raven should learn to take comfort in it as well, she doesn't need to be hurting herself like this. AUGH.

i also really really loved the conversation between duchess and raven, im so ready to become a duchess girl finally.

them trading jabs with each other based on their endings was soooo juicy and revealing <3333333 why are you lying to everyone pretending you have feelings about this, why can't you just own being a villain this is so pathetic vs at least im not gonna die sad and alone with my only ambition being to get with a boy who never wants me. GIRLS GOOD GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

pairing these two together is so interesting, i love how their jabs are so revealing of their own insecurities as well. duchess needing raven to be faking any depth of feeling because she needs these destinies and archetypes to be written in stone, there can't be any wriggle room, there can't be any hope for anything else. it's pathetic to hold out hope for anything else. :(

duchess bringing up raven's dad as this boring sad loser who's being lying to her that she can be a boring sad loser too is interesting, the book seems to be doing a lot with raven's relationship with her dad. and this is specifically the thing that sets her off and has her magic go haywire. really interested in where that plot ends up going!

there was a detail when raven first walks into the room and a gust of wind follows her and a chill comes over everyone. she apologises and says smth like "huh that's new, still trying to get a hang on all this magic stuff haha.....". with raven in her final year and all these powers coming in, her body changing, forcing perceptions/expectations of her to change - there's definitely parallels being drawn between that and puberty/coming of age/being perceived as a woman and this sense of a ticking clock before she's doomed into this role shes forced into. there's really interesting commentary there about girlhood/womanhood and also trans raven rights. 🎉🎉🎉

€d vent and life update:

Sooo... I'm really upset rn because I managed to fast for 5 days without anyone noticing and it felt GREAT. I mean it's kinda sad that my parents just simply don't care anymore. They used to encourage me while I was in recovery and actually getting better but oh well that's how it is sometimes I guess. I once weighed 43kg that's why I originally went into recovery and as I began to gain some weight back they just assumed my €d was magically cured. But that just wasn't the case and here I am once again. Without anybody noticing or actually caring. Sadly my eating disørder is even worse this time and I'm feeling no will to live anymore.

Anyways, I'm thinking of another liquid fast right now because as I said I'm really upset that I just broke mine 20mins ago with some leftover noodles (230 + 55kcal for the cheese) and I'm freaking out atm because I'm afraid I'll gain weight after eating those. But I can't work out because my parents and their friends are downstairs and I don't want them to hear me doing some exercises. Although I know they probably wouldn't even care.

Lately I've been pretty busy studying (literally lol) because of my finals this and next week. I've already completed three out of four and I just have to pass the math test and honestly I'm shitting myself even thinking about it. But as for the others I'm pretty confident.

My hot guess:

• maths: 4?

Only thing I know is that this years final math exam will include exponential functions which I hate.

I just looove the feeling of clothes that have gotten too big on you and would slide down your body if you didn't use a belt or hairtie.

Yeah, also there's this cute guy in my class. Same age and we went to the same elementary school but back then we had nothing to do with each other. Well, at the beginning of the school year when I was the new girl in my class he asked me to go to prom with him and I agreed but now I'm scared, because I do know and everybody always tells me that he has a huge crush on me. But I just can't handle that much affection yk?? The dance course will also start in a few weeks and we both can't look each other in the eyes... My nitpicks I just need to get out from the first 3 episodes below the cut tho

Nynaeve's third arch scene (NOT INCLUDING THE RED DRESS AT THE START. PHEWWW). It didn't bring home why she's in the Tower, or if it was trying to tell us WHY she's there, it just fell flat after the emphasis from her scene with Ihvon and Maksim.

In the books she very much chooses to be what she despises because it's the only way to do what she needs to do. She abandons a perfect life to be Aes Sedai vs "whelp they're dead guess I'll go be Aes Sedai." "Do this for yourself" but then she still tries to bring her daughter through with her rather than giving it all up because she has to do this. In the show, she's doing it because she has nothing left but to go back through the arch.

Ishamael being so out in the open w/ the Seanchan. It didn't feel necessary, and he could still get in Perrin's head in a dream rather than physically being there if they wanted to show him playing on Perrin, Rand, and Mat's fears.

UNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO they did him so dirty and I'm going to be grumpy about it for a little while.

The music isn't standing out to me compared to s1. I keep seeing ppl commenting on how good it is but I just don't hear it the way I did for s1! It's mostly just background melodies.

Egwene's scene w/ Liandrin..........I'm not digging how there was no punishment for that, or at least Liandrin shielding her from the Source. A novice who's been in the Tower 5 months being ballsy enough to do that to a full sister and no immediate consequence? Not even a "report to Sheriam for penance"? Rafe's favoritism for Egwene is a little eh.

I'm still hoping Perrin's story really goes off. Please. PLEASE...

how do you go about creating characters and designs and a story for them?? im an aspiring character designer / storyteller and i looove your designs so im curious!!

when it comes to stories, i always try to imagine something that turns common tropes/things on their head ! like for ultimate excalibur, as its focused heavily on naval stuff, sailing and pirates, instead of regular ships on the sea, its all in space ! and for reassassination, the main character is a teenager, but her dramas are all mostly focused on assassinating people while juggling exams and rumors, so i guess it's kinda like a juxtaposition? for my stories i always get a lot of inspiration from other media (ult. ex is inspired greatly by the premise of one piece and other media and reassassination is very loosely inspired by panty and stocking), so it's good to broaden ur horizons when looking for new things to watch/play/read - you could find a new story idea from that!

for designs, i focus on three things: character personality, profession, and cool/cuteness factor. for example, musa marine - she has a bright and energetic personality, so her colors are bright and sunny (yellows and blues), she's a pirate, so her clothes are rugged, and she's more cool than cute to me, so 'cool' pieces of clothing are added like her big hat. other 'cool' character traits include V-CON's shades and clyde's scarf, but cuter characters like mina have other design traits like a starfish hairpin (who is also mina's manager!) i like to call these specific design traits 'the key point' - to me, theyre what make the designs unique! i use a mental 'cute - mix - cool' scale for that, but you don't need to if you don't want to! its just a weird thing i like to do ^_- but stuff like that is just the beginning!! when designing characters you have to take into account how they'll look next to everyone else in the cast - even if they have a similar color pallete to another character, they have to look unique while still being obvious as someone from your story's universe ! like, if i gave savory animal ears and plunked him into ult. ex, he'd look out of place because his sharp design and darker color scheme clashes with everyone else. speaking of sharpness, shapes are really important too! for my own designs, i like to take one or two shapes and apply those to as many aspects of the design as i can - like in my deep cut designs, i tried to focus on sharp, triangular shapes! shape language can help accentuate personality especially if you have a more cartoony/anime artstyle ! :D there are lots of people who are better than me at explaining character design/story stuff so i'd suggest you look at other guides or watch videos on how to write + design! also, this is just a me thing, but if i see a design or a story that i really like that inspires me to draw/write something, for the first few weeks/months of the development, i like to wear that inspiration on its sleeve if that makes sense? like it'll look *very* heavily inspired as it starts out - this is because i know that as the story develops, the characters/story will be redesigned to look unique ! like, when i first started writing starsaints carnival in 2021-ish, all the characters looked like rip-offs of characters from worlds end club lol ,, but as i redesigned the characters (3 times!!), they now all have (imo) unique designs while still looking inspired by wec!!

that's pretty much it about character design and story, sorry this is so long ;w; ,,, i just like talking about characters and stories,,, hope this helps !!

probably the most predictable outcome, but can you blame me when he has an atrocious palace design, terrible writing as a character both in that arc and in haru's confidant, unsavoury memories of a certain cat... i mean, it wasn't really kuni's fault that morgana ended up stealing haru's spotlight to have his moment, but the writers know what they did

okumura's saving grace is that 1) he has enough backstory provided for me to do whatever i want with him in rsau and 2) he's pretty handsome

at number 8, junya kaneshiro!

now don't get me wrong, i love kaneshiro. i think about him allllll the time and he's THE bro in rsau (i can't go a second without mentioning it sorry) and also suguru's implied romantic interest cough cough

you might think that from the amount of posting i do about how deeply i desire him carnally i must be a big fan, right? well. eh

playing through his palace was tedious and longwinded and dull when it wasn't plot-related. the whole "oh, kaneshiro and madarame actually knew shido and were sucking his dick the whole tiiiime" thing is also completely unnecessary and never gets mentioned again. nobody even talks about it. you probably didnt even remember it until i mentioned it again

shido is still cartoonishly evil like okumura is, but he gets bonus points for not trying to be made into a sympathetic, hard-working and misunderstood dad in akechi's confidant (and at least we actually get to see him show feelings towards things, even if it is just hating children and monologuing in his office)

also hes kiiiiiiiiiind of the tritagonist in cnau but we aren't going to talk about that.... yet..............

i really like the twist on the concept of palace rulers actually. not every person with distorted desires is a bad person; instead of sabotaging others, futaba is self-sabotaging. but with a change of heart, that little shut-in is able to get back up and live life to the fullest!

if theres anyone who i love picking apart the brain of more than kaneshiro, it's madarame. he hates himself so much that it loops back around to having a huge ego. he was jealous of yusuke's mother and the talent she held that he let her die just so he can be validated boohoo

madarame thinks hes only worth what he creates, and being yusuke's only authoritative figure, imprinted that mindset and behaviour onto him. he actually sees yusuke as his son and loves him deeply but hes soooo dependent on him in multiple ways and without him he literally crumbles. madarame is pathetic and helpless and i love him

in 2nd place is sae niijima!

you know her. i know her. we've seen that section of the story. soooo good. banger palace theme, pretty environment, attractive lady, hoo-wee!

seriously, she has great development. sae never actually gets a change of heart, she changes on her own because she remembers she's here to protect what she really cares about; justice. she comes to be one of the few adults the phantom thieves can genuinely place their trust in. theres a bonus chapter in mementos mission where sae looks at buchimaru slippers because they remind her of makoto. and thats after she roundhouse kicks a purse-snatcher in the face while wearing high heels.

she's also the one who won the hottest palace ruler poll by a longshot so. you go girl!

and at long last... number 1 goes to......

SUGURU KAMOSHIDA!!!!!!!

i wanted to get a bunch of pictures of him for this but he's actually so hideous i legitimately got freaked out

he's my meow meow who did nothing wrong (he did everything wrong) and hes just a baby (literal abuser) and youre all just mean (he deserves worse)

they wanted to write a piece of shit and they did it. and they did it well. i can't think of a single reason why someone would like this guy. and thats exactly why i like him.

kamoshida was conditioned to believe that his actions had no consequences and therefore he could do whatever he wanted. people would cover it up. they'd keep their silence. his reputation is great enough that everyone is too worried to topple it because it might crush them when he falls. he doesn't need to be two-faced when they've already seen the other mask. hes the greatest introductory to the story and themes of persona 5 ever and i would not have it any other way

kamoshida is a SHIT BAG. he makes me legitimately sick to my stomach in a way the other characters just dont really do. i mean the mementos palace did a pretty good job of making me think about what im doing with my life so props to them, but like i said just looking at kamoshidas face made me feel uneasy

also i wrote a oneshot about him and kaneshiro fucking and there was the swag mention of the lingering guilt he experiences in the back of his mind every time he hurts someone because he is still a human after all

he's the protagonist in rsau and he's my favourite test subject for different kinds of pain and anguish. suguru kamoshida numba one 4eva. i hope he dies
