Trouble Trio Shenanigans

(Fae makes nests out of blankets and pillows as a comfort mechanism. She also likes to give Y/N her blankies whenever they sleep because she knows they have lots of nightmares. She still does it to this day, I think Y.N. is finally starting to catch on~)

7. Berry Thieves — aka "The Berry Incident" 🍓

(They're black berries yummy~ — These two as little ones were the type to do something wrong/unhelpful usually by accident. They were too innocent to realize it was wrong unless someone told them directly. Don't worry everyone laughs about it now because it was actually really cute.)

Livestock Headcanon:

The Palace Clan (where Fae & Y.N. grew up) had a sort of symbiosis with several species of "livestock" (aka "wilds"). Those being, Reindeer/Goats/Sheep/Cows/Chickens/Horses (may add others lol).

Not all of these creatures traveled with them constantly but there were certain herds that had a sort of "alliance/friendship" with them, even some that weren't really considered "livestock". The nomads would protect these herds/groups and they would receive resources/aide/friendship in return.

(Fun Fact: Around the time that Y.N. joined the clan, the government of Scotland gifted them rights to their own land, allowing them to travel wherever they needed in order to thrive. Since then the clan has become a huge part of the community and even received their own crest as a symbol of appreciation for their services.)

I'm sure I've mentioned before but I used to work as a historical reenactor as well as a stable hand at a Livery. (Best years of my life really)

I worked with all kinds of animals: Ponies/Goats/Sheep/Rabbits/Chickens, a Donkey (we love Heber omg, #mrgrumpypants), and two cows (Jasmine and her son Charming)

So I think I'm allowed to say that I love the concept of their clan working with, protecting, and caring for livestock, even going so far as to treat them like family. Which was very fitting seeing as their clan was interracial, with several different cultures/species hodge-podged into one group.

WAAAA TY TY TY TY !!!!! UHHHH AJDJFNSJKFKF I CANT HONE IN ON ONE SO IM JUST ?? GONNA GIVE THE RUNDOWN OF MY FOUR MAIN FALLOUT 4 OCS BACKGROUNDS

Firstly is Antonio! Toni is my FO4 Sole OC so his backstory follows the same path… there’s not a ton to say on him, other than I guess I’d say he’s the ‘main character’ of whatever Fallout world/story I’ve got going on in my head. Oh! And he’s romanced to Nick Valentine :]

Second is Michael! Michael was sold by his parents to the BOS when he was about 7 iirc. He ran with the Brotherhood until the ripe old age of 19, when he realized how shitty those guys were and ran off, find his way to the Commonwealth. Here, he’d slink his way around for 4 years, until hiring RJ MacCready as an extra gun. During this time, he ends up falling into a group (lead by Antonio- really just… the canonical ‘companion’ group holed in Sanctuary) and things actually go ! pretty well !! He and MacCready end up together, he’s got this wicked new group of friends, and, for once, he feels like the BOS is… actually behind him. There isn’t a ton to say on Michael rn- for one because I haven’t finished FO4 and two because I’m still,,, kinda shy about his ‘lore’,,,, but !!! Maybe one day I’ll go into more detail on it !!

Last, so far, is Foster, a gen 1 synth, freshly escaped from the control of the Institute. Foster was made early-on by the Institute, only being unofficially decommissioned after they became severely injured in a battle. Because of this, Foster was remotely shut off, left on the surface to whither away. Instead, they were reawakened by a group of curious settlers, wanting to get some caps off this piece of hardware. Foster, now with a mind of their own, obviously ran away from all that, finding solace in the various abandoned warehouses of the Commonwealth. But, adorned with a decent disguise, Foster decided to try their luck with humans again, eventually finding their way into Toni’s little group- soon enough spilling the beans on their synthetic-ness. They end up forming a close relationship with Deacon (one that may or may not be platonic we’ll see :3) and just,, all around chilling out.

What i said for Michael pretty much applies to everyone here- somewhat excluding Antonio. This lore and story is still pretty iffy, but!! These are the basic run-downs!!! If you or anyone else has any questions on these guys I’d be more than happy to answer :]

Rewatching I Believe the Children Are Our Future

Welcome to “Itching Powder and Whoopie Cushions and Rubber Chickens, Oh My!: A Supernatural Rewatch Blog” with Lor and Mace!

Up today, s5e6: “I Believe the Children Are Our Future.”

People are… dying weird in a… small town, so the boys… go to investigate. (Have we been here before?) Turns out childhood myths and falsehoods (like you can electrocute someone with a joke hand buzzer and your face can freeze that way) are true in this small town—or in part of it anyway. And it’s all because of Jesse, a sweet pre-teen kiddo who has the power to make such things come true—mostly unintentionally. Why? Well, because he’s the antichrist, of course. Sam, Dean, and Cas argue about what to do about him (side trip into Cas getting turned into a plastic action figure), and eventually Jesse decides to leave on his own, to protect his (adoptive) parents. Aaaaand then we never hear about any of this again. It’s fine. It was all really about Sam, afterall.

Meet The Residents

Hey kids! The Residents first studio album!

...Yeah, I never really got through it before without tuning out.

It's as avant-garde as an art rock band gets. It just sounded like random noise to me every time I heard it. Coming back after getting older...yeah, still not my favorite. I'm glad I get to keep the blog name. I was surprised by the appearance of an old favorite though. We'll get to it on the track listing.

Sounds like pained yodeling while playing on kitchenware. Love it.

2. Numb Erone

No professional training, bitches! And they still keep a tune against their best efforts to avoid it. Gotta respect that.

3. Guylum Bardot

Bringing in the woodwinds so you motherfuckers best be scared now. You can actually relax to this track which creeps me out.

Very ominous and creepy, especially with what sounds like a toy dog barking and those freaky ladies singing. This is what I'm hear for: audio assault.

5. Consuelo's Departure

Lookit, your TV's decided to join a band! And it's in a battle against the walls playing the trumpets! Most cool.

6. Smelly Tongues

They found the guitars again and they'll make you feel like how they smell. Good string work on this.

7. Rest Arja

Good piano work. Shows that just because they refused professional training, it doesn't mean they don't take their craft seriously. Like, this is something you can hear being played in a concert hall.

Alright, done with the normie stuff. Back to noise. This feels like getting drunk on laced beer at a harsh noise concert. All in all, another Fourth of July for yours truly.

9. Spotted Pinto Bean

Getting into the longer stuff now. This one has a choir singing throughout it but then whimsical music! And back to creepy horror movie pacing. Wonderful.

10. Infant Tango

This is the song that surprised me. I've listened to it by itself so many times, I've forgotten it was on this album. I love Infant Tango so much, I sing it out loud to myself whenever I'm left by myself in a room for over 30 minutes. It's one of the more accessible songs, even with the breakdown, but don't let that stop you from enjoying the croaking.

Sounds like something from a Hammer Horror film. Good energy. Works for the album.

12. N-Er-Gee (Crisis Blues)

Speaking of energy...I'm getting a lot of Third Reich and Roll vibes from this track. Might explain why I like it so much. It's chaos distilled at the tail end of a crazy ass album. Good work.
