I added a new graphics card (gtx 4060 babeyyyyy) and a new hard drive (m2 even!) and reinstalled my operating system, as well as most of the programs I use day-to-day!

It does mean I am finally clear of all the bloatware from my uni days (fuck all the way into the sun, Apache and Anaconda and all the other bullshit), and given that my C:\ drive was actively failing, this is a very good nice new start!

And despite my actual bachelor's degree in IT, I only accidentally downloaded malware once (trying to pirate photoshop, fucking hell, because I couldn't find any of my three downloaded installs for it--) and I ripped that back out in about twenty minutes so. Evidently I'm good at ripping out malware.

Got steam up and running, tested a couple of games to make sure they were all running, even redid all of my personalization, and everything is excellent. Gonna clear out some likes, get ahead of the 400 posts I need to queue, and take a little looksie at my website before I head to bed.

If all goes well, I will spend tomorrow doing nothing but coding my website. Once it's been properly refactored and updated, I will edit a link back into my pinned post.

Once that happens, I have much file organization to do, which will make me very happy. Then it's some blog organization, more art and more writing, and we'll see!

...but mostly website. That's gonna take us a hot minute.

I continue to be baffled by the occasional posts I see from people ranting about things like "how can you even think to adapt Sonic Adventure 2 without Rouge or Amy?" and "I hope they do justice to [any number of things from SA2] when they adapt it!" and all I can think is...why do you think it's going to be an adaptation of SA2? Just because Shadow is in it?

The first movie was not an adaptation of the original Sonic the Hedgehog. The second movie was not an adaptation of Sonic 2 or Sonic 3 & Knuckles. The Knuckles miniseries was not an adaptation of Sonic & Knuckles.

The third movie is going to be its own thing that draws on the games for inspiration. That's it.

Just...where is this coming from?

I don't know if you ever read any of the redwall series, but with how good your art style is you could do a graphic novel in that world and do it amazing justice.

I'm sure it's a great series but when I was in the target demographic age, rats were my favorite animal, and younger-me just couldn't get over that anti-rat propaganda. Older me just doesn't enjoy "sentient fantasy race is always inherently evil" as a trope.

No pressure ofcc, it's your page haha- just wondering! cause Cha Cha is my fav so I personally love Vaggie being written as the absolute hopeless simp hahahaha

And 2) have you watched arcane by any chance? It's been consuming me lately, especially the Vi X Caitlyn train (WHICH-- THEIR DYNAMICS RLLY REMIND ME OF CHAGGIE IN SOME ASPECTS ICL)

1) oh well Charlie's more the simp in my art because she's the one who wears her heart in her sleeve. She's for the visual stuff? So for Vaggie, I prefer to show her simping in my writing instead, which is why most of my chaggie fics are in her pov. Really get into her head. I do occasionally have her swooning/getting flustered still of course, but ig it's a lot more subtle. Most of the time.

2) yes i do watch arcane and am a caitvi enjoyer lol. Funnily enough i didnt wanna watch it at first, but my brothers play League of Legends and they occasionally make me watch the cinematics/music videos, so inevitably they made me watch Arcane with them when it came out years ago too. I ended up getting more invested with it than they were lmao
