Thinking about a Jedi Maul AU where Palpatine decides to send him out too early to hopefully Kill Some Jedi and he ultimately picks possibly the worst target imaginable in going after Mace Windu. Both because Mace is inarguably the best swordsman of the Order and just not menaced at all and also because he's way too tired for a feral teenager bouncing off him with seemingly never-ending energy to continually try to kill him. And so Mace kind of picks him up by the scruff of the neck and carts him off to the Order like "Um. Evil child. Help" but at this point Maul has imprinted on him with some really warped form of respect and so. Mace ends up with a fucked up little padawan who's more domesticated than really redeemed. But if the results are the same, who really needs to know

I've given it thought in the past, and they are God's creation, undoubtedly, so they can't be...that bad...?

Maybe they were originally solely pollinators and then the Fall ruined everything.

But I've never reached a conclusive and satisfactory answer, so I've just tossed it up on the pile of Questions-I'll-Probably-Never-Get-An-Answer-For-So-Why-Bother?

My conscience is mostly clear of killing a mosquito because those things kill just as much. Apart from "keeping the population in check" and the occasional pollination, I doubt they serve much purpose on this earth save for being the bane of mankind's existence.

What I would like to know is what makes me so appealing to the damned critters. Why flock me and grow fat on my blood alone?

The worst of it is when the guy who plays the organ in church sprays repellant around the spot he sits and then I have to deal with the aftermath. Like dude, mosquitoes already love me, why'd you have to make it worse? (no actual hate to that guy, he's chill)

I usually wear long sleeved shirts and hoodies, but the days I wear a plain oversized t-shirt are nightmares. One day I came back with both my arms red and itching.

The cherry on top is that I play the violin, so I can never pause to swat away that mosquito I know for a fact is sitting on my elbow and feasting on my blood. Little nuisances, they won't even pay me for the meal. And every time I shoo them away they keep coming the kriff back.

Guess I'm that irresistible :/

Edit: Oh wait hang on lol yeah I'm pretty sure they did exist in Eden where they were probably drinking pollen and not my blood. Woops, didn't slow down to read your question right

for my birthday this year I got a two-day land typhoon, a daoist funeral, a crafts party, three new ferns, a rosemary harvest, and left shoulder pain so bad I was 60% convinced it was a fucking cardiac event 'cause i couldn't fully inhale and the pain radiated up to my jaw lol
