happy friday! dadw prompt: perspicacious from the rare word list, with sera (any pairings up to you!)
aaaaa thank you jazz! this was So Fun omg perspicacious - having keen judgement or understanding; acutely perceptive @dadrunkwriting 688 words cws: red lyrium; fears of red lyrium contagion; honestly might be an ocd trigger re: germaphobia
“Should you really be messing around with this shite?” She asked, wrinkling her nose at one of the ‘experiments’ on the table.
“Don’t touch that!” Dagna called out to her, Sera turning to face her just to roll her eyes. “Okay, so I guess you weren’t going to. Sorry. Habit.” She shrugged a shoulder and grinned and Sera resisted the urge to walk over and kiss her. She was still busy, after all. “Anyway... maybe I shouldn’t but it helps. And it’s good to know how things work!”
“Yeah, but this? No one needs to know how this works.” Sera jerked her thumb over her shoulder, towards the eerie glow of the covered red lyrium. Dagna sighed.
“The Inquisitor does.” She moved past Sera to examine the shard, frowning. “And so do the people who are trying to remove it. How does it work? Will it get into their equipment? It’s a mineral, right, so-”
“You’re so lucky you’re cute,” Sera groused, Dagna turning to grin brightly at her.
“I am, aren’t I?” Dagna shot back, Sera snorting.
“Lucky, or cute?”
“Take your pick!”
“Uh-huh. Like I said, you’re lucky you’re so cute.” She crouched down so she was looking up at Dagna, who smiled much more sincerely and bent forward to kiss her. “Mm,” Sera began as the other woman pulled back. “And a good kisser.” She made a point of looking across Dagna’s body. “There are some other experiments we could try. I promise they’d be more fun than this.”
Dagna laughed, but it was a little uncomfortable. Not about the sex, Sera knew that much. They’d had it. It was good. It was really good. She just... always wanted to finish her work, and Sera was distracting her, and-
Well. She knew the drill.
She levered herself upright with a sigh, stretching. “Yeah, okay, I’ll see myself out. But it’s just...” She glanced back towards the glow with a frown. “Seriously, don’t touch that. I don’t care about knowledge, I care about you. I don’t want you getting all gunked up with red lyrium.” She grinned, although it felt a little shaky. “You’re cute as you are, but I don’t think awful shards stickin’ out of you would really do it for me.”
“Sera...” She shook her head, trying to cut off Dagna’s lecture before it started.
“It’s fine. I get it. I do. It’s important. But it’s scary, too, yeah? I mean... it gets into everything. Rocks. People! I don’t want it getting into you. Changing you, making you...” She shivered, wrapping her arms around herself. What the Inquisitor and Dorian had told her about that fuck-off awful future, about the lyrium growing out of people. How would it start? Just a single tiny little flake making its way into you, and then what? Would they become strong and weird, all twisted up like the red templars? How much did it take? How long did it take? Would she have to start watching Dagna, make sure there wasn’t some red glow deep in her pretty eyes, that she wasn’t getting short-tempered and distant, that-
Fuck. She couldn’t do this. She couldn’t bear to think of her getting all messed up on a tiny shard of lyrium. A flake. Hell, if that’s all it took, she might have it in herself already. She gripped her arms tighter, nails digging in, remembering the nothing she’d seen in the Fade. Was that why it was her fear? Because nothing was growing in her, because a tiny shard she’d inhaled once was taking her over, or-
Shit. Fucking shit.
She didn’t want to think about this. She didn’t want to reflect on how little it’d take to destroy her, to destroy Dagna, to destroy the whole world. “Just... be careful, yeah?” She muttered as she headed for the door out of the undercroft. She vaguely heard Dagna call out an affirmation as she let the door shut behind her, scrubbing at her face - then wiping her hands frantically against her shirt before scrubbing at her face again, worried she might’ve gotten some of the fucking lyrium on her.

The Oxygen Breathers: Sales Pitch
It wasn't until Late Summer Storm was being strapped into the small human ship that he realized that it was really really happening. Sure, he had seen the extremely small ships the humans had brought out to show off; a resurrection of a very old design, they said. And sure, he had noticed that one of them had two seats instead of one. They had said that one was for training or ride alongs, would he like to try it out? And sure, in a moment sans sanity, Late Summer Storm had agreed to the ride.
That as going to be it, right? They'd find some incompatibility, or there would be some political fallout and he wouldn't have to go. Face would be saved by all.
But no. The humans were so excited about the prospect they - to use one of their own strange idioms - 'moved heaven and earth' to make it happen.
First was political. Summer had hoped that Innari high command would balk at the idea of one of their own being wedged into a prototype human ship, but to his dismay, they were excited about the idea. They were so excited in fact that several members of the Isolators had paid him a visit and informed him in no uncertain terms that he was to be cooperative, polite, and above all, interested in what he was being shown. Interested enough to recall it, and write a report on the state of humanity's technology. His feathers fluttering nervously at a visit from the secret police, Summer agreed. He would report back on what he learned about their singleship, the one they called a fighter.
Next was logistical. Innari don't breath the same gas mixture as humans. It's not as dramatic a difference as say, the Von, who have much more methane hexafluoride in their breathing gas, but humanity's breathing mixture has frankly an irresponsible amount of oxygen in it. Oxygen narcosis occurs for Innari who breathe human concentrations and pressures of oxygen, and they die shortly after. The Innari medical community has published research papers stating that they are pretty sure that the humans suffer from oxygen narcosis too, they're just... used to it. 'Fortunately' for Summer, the human fighters had plumbing and fittings for hardsuits and supplemental breathing gas. Summer would wear a pressure suit and bring a atmosphere generator and his human pilot would do the same.
When the appointed day arrived, Summer stood in the too bright lights of the ship bay of the human Nullship Kon-Tiki. His pressure suit - a brand new one, printed up by the Innari navy, tailored and form fitted to his body - felt heavy and squeezed his feathers uncomfortably because of their higher gravity and atmo pressure.
Among the human workers bustling around without pressure suits - or really that much in the way of clothing either - someone walked in wearing a heavily armored pressure suit. Made of segmented pieces of reinforced coropolymer, they looked like they were headed to the front lines of a war, not a joyride.
"Late Summer Storm?" The voice said over his radio. He could speak their language, but he had his suit translate with subtitles in the bottom of his vision. It helped when they got going and spoke too quickly, or used some obscure idiom that needed translation. They translator also helped with body language. "I'm Captain Meghan Delrin, I'll be piloting today." They saluted sharply, and Summer noticed how maneuverable their suit was, even though it was quite heavily armored.
"Thank you, Captain. Please, call me Summer. My full name is unnecessary now." He said, turning to look at the fighter. "I am... interested in our upcoming flight."
"Are you now?" Captain Delrin laughed. Summer was surprised at the sound. He hadn't heard a human laugh before. The staccato pulses of sound were much different than the more musical Innari laughter. "You look like you're on your way to a funeral."
Summer's eyes flicked down to the translator for help with the phrase. She thinks you look despondent it said, helpfully. "Oh, please don't misunderstand Captain. I am grateful for the opportunity and I am excited to learn what your fighters can do, it's just..." He struggled for the word in their language. "Scary." That was probably closest.
To Summer's surprise Captain Delrin lifted her glass face covering, revealing her own face squeezed tightly in the foam of her helmet, surrounded by wires and blinking lights. He had no idea they were crammed into their suits so tightly! They moved so fluidly he had assumed their suits were much more loose fitting. "Summer, I want to make this crystal clear. We are doing everything within out power to make sure that this flight goes without incident and is even boring, but-" she raised a gauntleted finger "-we're scared too. If we weren't, we would run the risk of making mistakes. Scared is good. Scared means you're careful." The glass folded back down. "Come on, Summer, Let's get seated and belted."
The fighter was so small that there wasn't a door, per se. The clear canopy slid open and flipped up, revealing the two seats, side by side. Captain Delrin sat on the left, and Summer's seat was on the right. His seat was filled with pieces of closed cell foam, to fill in the gaps and hollow spots making up the differences between their bodyplans. Summer had spent a few hours in the fitting room with some very terse engineers sitting down and standing up, sitting down and standing up, until they were satisfied. As he sat, the seat was comfortable and he was belted in by more engineers. When they were finished, they looked at him for confirmation. He nodded and made the gesture he was taught - his outer manipulators and sensory feathers curled around into a fist, except for one pointing straight up. The human returned the gesture, saluted, and backed down the ladder.
As Captain Delrin was belted in, she had been pressing buttons and flipping switches. The fighter began to hum and throb as it came to life, motors rising in pitch and maneuvering jets puffing. Summer's sense of balance was thrown off for a moment, and then it recovered. "What was that?" he asked as Captain Delrin continued to start the fighter.
"Gyro" she said without stopping. "We can spin the ship for free with it. Good for tracking targets and maneuvering. Why? Did you feel it?"
Summer nodded, and then realizing she wouldn't be able to see the gesture said "Yes, I felt it. Is it magnetic?"
"It is suspended in a mag field, but the gyro itself is not, why?"
"We're sensitive to electromagnetism. It was how our ancient ancestors navigated our world."
"Huh. That makes sense I guess." She said, looking at him now. "Will it be an issue?"
"I don't know" Summer said. "But, I don't think it's enough of a reason to stop the ride."
"Fair enough."
Eventually they were warmed up and at power, and a small tug wheeled them to the launch tube. Captain Delrin explained that during a battle, the fighters could be launched every few minutes "But the ride is rough" she added.
Summer wondered what 'rough' was to a human when he heard the launching clamps grab the ship. Captain Delrin looked to an officer on the side, saluted, they returned the salute, and they launched.
Much later, Summer had to watch the video playback to see the launch. The fighter was shot out of the Nullship at a withering five gees. Captain Delrin grunted and took sharp breaths but was otherwise unharmed as Summer regained consciousness. "You made it Summer! Glad to have you with us once again." Delrin said, laughing. "We made it a light launch in deference to you. Normally we launch at twenty gee with the compensator set to ten."
"These fighters have a compensator and you didn't activate it?" Summer's whole body ached from the launch.
"What fun would that be? You have to feel some of the forces, it keeps you honest. Now then." Delrin flipped some switches and the color of her screens changed. "Let's see what we can see."
They spent the next solar hour flying around, showing Summer what the fighter was capable of. He had to admit, the maneuverability of the teeny ship was impressive. "But why?" he finally asked.
"Why what?"
"Why-" he gestured at the console "-all this. You have your Nullships, and they are more heavily armed than one of our Battlecruisers. They can travel farther, faster, and hit harder than anything in the Coalition. Why do you need fighters?"
Delrin reduced the throttle until they were practically coasting relative to the Nullship. "That's a good observation Summer. We have a few reasons. One, fighters will help us to engage multiple targets at once. The Coalition knows that our Nullships are powerful, so if they were ever to attack us, they would come at us en mass. A swarm of less powerful ships could overwhelm our targeting, and could do damage. Fighters could engage them, and divide their efforts."
Summer nodded to himself. His own government had decided that If anyone were to attack the humans, a swarm of a huge number of ships was just about the only way to have any chance of success.
"The second reason, is we're hoping to sell them." Delrin said matter-of-factly.
"You're what?" Summer stared dumbfounded. He couldn't have heard that correctly.
"We're going to offer them up for sale. The Coalition's defenses are woefully underdeveloped. Something like this is just what they need to help defend themselves.
"You'll give the other Coalition peoples weapons?"
"Not for free, but yes, why not?"
"It's just..." The Innari never shared technology. The idea of such a thing was too dangerous. Sell a weapon today, and tomorrow it could be turned back onto you. "What if the people who buy it use it against you?"
"That could happen, yes." Delrin said thoughtfully. "But history shows us it probably won't. Fighters aren't standalone things. They need parts, maintenance, upgrades, ships to haul them, printable matter, all kinds of ancillaries. If someone buys from us and then attacks..." She shrugged. "They'll find it very hard to keep their new fighters supplied and maintained. Also-" She looked out of the canopy into space. "It would be nice to have an opponent that was more our speed."
Summer was sure she was just playing a trick on him now. "Ha ha, sure thing Captain Delrin. You're telling me that you want to fight?"
"No Summer, we want to fight a good opponent. Someone who thinks on their feet, has close to our level of training and technology, someone who makes it worth while. Do you remember when you came to us and asked for our help? How we brought our ships out of Nullspace and defeated the Felimen almost instantly? It was boring."
"Boring?!"
"Boring. I was on one of the Nullships, Summer. It was practically a drill. People didn't even run. Didn't have to. We slipped out of Null, shot up a few Felimen cruisers, did a little light planetary bombardment, and slipped back into Null."
Summer was stunned into silence. The Felimen were a fierce enemy that had driven all of the Coalition people back for more than a year, winning battle after battle, claiming more and more space until the humans traded entry into the Coalition for defeating the Felimen.
It took the humans one solar day.
"If we sell some fighters to some of the Coalition who knows? Maybe in a few decades or centuries we'll finally get a good battle. Something really worth going all our for." Delrin said, wistfully. She really sounded like she wanted all out war.
Delrin took them through some more high gee manuvers - with the compensator turned on this time - and demonstrated the weapons; two missile racks, two slug throwers, one exawatt laser and enough printable matter to keep them in consumables for an impressive amount of time. She had fired at some drone targets that the Nullship had launched, and even let Summer have a go at the weapons suite. She ordered a new wave sent out and Summer took over. It was intuitive, and easy to use, and frighteningly effective. As the last drone evaporated in an orange puff of exploding missile Summer looked down at his hands. He had - without any official training - destroyed more targets quicker than any Innari ship he could think of, and this was just a single human fighter!
The demonstration over, Captain Delrin took them back in. The landing was more gentle than the launch, but only just. As they rolled to a stop, the canopy popped open and Delrin's face mask opened again.
"So! How many fighters can we put you down for?"

Transcripts from the Humanity Hotline 7
As I finished this, I discovered it's been exactly one year since I posted the last Transcript. A lot has happened in that year; I've graduated college :) . I want to thank everyone for the support I've received, and I hope to get back into some of my creative projects and give you guys an opportunity to laugh, and maybe learn something. This one is inspired by a request from @a-romantic-twst from forever ago; I hope it was worth the wait (sorry about that). (It's about periods if anyone's uncomfortable with that and wants to skip this one.)
------
Operator: "Hi, my name is Mindy. How may I help you today?"
Caller: "Hello, Mindy, I am very concerned about one of the humans on my ship."
O: "What seems to be the problem?"
C: "Well, I'm the chief medical officer and this particular human has been on the ship for just over two Earth months now. On two separate occasions during that time, she has requested strong painkillers citing 'Shark Week' as the reason. I looked into what 'Shark Week' is, and found an Earth television special about certain aquatic predators, and I'm unsure how that could cause a human physical pain lightyears from Earth?"
O: "Interesting, is there anything else you can tell me about this human during these events?"
C: "Yes, I've also received reports from other crewmembers around these events that this human is not as outgoing as usual, and shows signs of discomfort with facial expressions and changes in appetite, but does not respond well to the standard psychological protocols for team building and social connection."
O: "What about the timing? You said this has happened twice, correct? How much time was between them?"
C: "Yes, I've documented both with dates. The human requested the painkillers twice, 28 days apart. The crew reported signs of distress for a few days following each request, and two times in the day before the first request."
O: "Alright, I believe your human is using the phrase, "Shark Week" as a euphemism for the start of the menstrual cycle, which is often referred to as a 'period'. To put it simply, one of the female reproductive organs sheds its inner lining roughly once an Earth month, lasting anywhere from a few days to a full week."
C: "Similar to how the Rythyani shed and replace their stomach linings?"
O: "Yes, though the uterus has blood vessels that extend into that lining, so shedding also causes bleeding."
C: "Bleeding? How much blood is lost? Why has she not requested bandages or a transfusion?"
O: "For most, a period is not life-threatening. The amount of blood loss does not require a transfusion to replace, or bandages to stop, though iron deficiency may be a concern for some that can be easily remedied through their diet. Ultimately, your human will know her body and how to handle her cycle best. We learn to deal with periods from a relatively young age. You should have received a human anatomy and physiology textbook when the first human joined your crew. Do you have it?"
C: "Yes, though I do admit I have not yet had the time to read it."
O: "That's alright. The chapter on human reproductive systems goes into more detail about the biology of the menstrual cycle than I can tell you. For the time being, make sure your human knows that she can ask for support if needed, and inform your crew that not all humans will be happy all the time, and they don't need to be. Over time, you will gain a better understanding your humans' patterns. Until then, trust them to express their needs, and talk to them if you have specific concerns. I can give general advice, but they will know themselves best."
C: "Thank you for clearing up the confusion, Mindy, I will look into this and update the protocols as necessary. I have no more questions for you at this time."
O: "You are very welcome, please don't hesitate to call again if something else comes up."

Tuk didn't like this. She didn't like having to carry the tank and mask, didn't like being on the ship, and certainly didn't like this coal-ition.
But they could help Mom and Dad get rid of the RDA and they were healing Neteyam so she was trying not to whine. Well not too much.
It made her feel a little better that Loak and Kiri didn't like this place either. Spider was still deciding.
Right now they on a tour of the ship, their guide looked like a fluffy Prolemuris, or as Dad called them, a monkey. It was boring.
Only the others found it cool and that's cause Spider can breathe and all the new creatures they saw and the science thingy's.
So when Tuk heard the sound of kids laughing around the corner she followed it.
Down a large hallway she saw a giant door with a huge sign that said something care something. She wasn't really paying attention when Dad and uncle Norm tried teaching her how to read.
Looking back and seeing that the others were too busy to stop her she walked in.
Inside was a giant room filled with kids, tables, stuff, more stuff and toys.
"Hi, are you new here?" she looked down and saw another creature that looked like their guide, a tiny fluffy monkey thing.
"Uhh yeah. What is this place?"
"This is the youngling centre. It's where we stay until our parents can take us home. I'm Marl."
"Tuk."
"...what are you?"
"Huh?"
"What are you? I've never seen anyone so tall, or blue."
"Uh a Na'vi. ..what are you?"
"I'm a Ursa." for a moment they stared at each other. As most children do when seeing something/someone new.
"Put your foot in for freeze tag!"
"Ooo freeze tag! Come on lets go play!"
"What's freeze tag?"
"It's a new game we just learned. Its easy." The little Ursa grabbed Tuk's tail using it as a leash to pull her along.
.
Freeze tag was Tuk's new favorite game. She loved running and there was lots of running and even if she got caught she could get out if someone unfreezed her.
The books were also fun. Marl read to her and let her hold the book. She liked the one's by Robert Munch, she also liked his funny name.
There were lots of other things to do too. There was a climbing area with fake tree tops and lots of ropes to swing on. In the back there was a shallow pool to swim in, it was fun but she didn't like having to dry off with the scratchy towels.
There were was blocks that stuck together which made building easier. Tons of markers, crayons, and paint that was hard to get back at home. They even got lunch.
"Okay kids you know the rules, grab a plate a drink and find a spot to sit."
"Teacher Max we need a chair for Tuk!"
"One chair coming right up...wait who?"
"Tuk. She's new."
It was at this moment Tuk realized she hadn't noticed the two adults in charge here. And it was at this moment that said adults realized they had one more child than usual.
"Oh hey, nice to meet you. Tuk was it," she nodded. "I'm Max and that's Kim. We're the teachers here."
Of all the new creatures and beings Tuk's seen so far it was only now that she was nervous. Humans had that effect on her. Not all humans, Spider definitely never made her nervous, but new ones did.
She knew her Dad used to be one, loved and liked uncle Norm and all the human scientists her family knew. But ever since what happened to Neteyam and their home, both the old one and new one, she was a little nervous.
"Do you like it here so far?" Luckily for her Max had noticed her nerves and knelt down to give her the advantage of height and to look her in the eyes.
She nodded.
"Well that's good. What do you like so far?"
"...the games...and drawing stuff and the food, it's good." he laughed.
"Well thank you, it's a family recipe. And I'm sure Kim will be happy to hear that you like the games she's taught the kids."
With that he gave her a chair and left her to finish her meal with Marl.
..
"Hi Tuk, I'm Kim."
"...hi."
"I noticed that your really tall. How old are you? 20?"
"No? I'm only 7." she smiled.
"What?? No way. You're almost as tall as me!"
"Actually Teacher, I think she's taller than you."
"No!"
"Tuk Tuk, stand up! Let's see!"
She got up and true enough she was taller than the adult by 2 inches.
"Holy...I didn't actually think you'd be taller than me." Kim had seen tall kids before but never had she met a kid taller than her this young.
The children laughed cheering that finally someone was taller than their shortest teacher. Tuk couldn't help but join in, standing on her tippy toes to make her even taller.
"Okay, okay that's enough. Calm down. Now, Tuk, since your so tall do you think you could help me with something?" Tuk hesitated but nodded.
Kim lead her to a tall bookshelf that had a doll stuck ontop of it.
"This has been stuck there for the whole day and we can't get it since the bookshelf can't be climbed and the ladder is broken. So what I'm thinking is you get on my shoulders and grab it. Sound good?"
"I get on your shoulders?"
"You don't have to if your scared of heights, I can ask one of the other kids or just wait."
"I'm not scared of heights," she pouted. "I just don't think you can carry me. I'm big and your small."
"Oh really?" and before Tuk could say anything she was tossed over Kim's shoulder.
"Still think I'm too small!" the blue child shrieked with laughter until she was put down and together the two got the doll down.
...
"What do you think the emergency is about?"
"Maybe Smelv burnt dinner again."
"Nah I don't think so. Captain look a little too tense for a simple fire alarm."
"So I called all of you here because we have a missing child. She was last seen on a tour of the ship with her siblings. Her name is Tuk and she is a Na'vi; tall, tail, blue, bi-pedal." he brings up a hologram of her from the security footage.
"...JAMES CAMERON WAS RIGHT?!"
"...shit I knew we weren't expecting another kid."
....
"Dad! Dad! Can I go to school here?"
"Your grounded. As are all of you." he added looking at his older kids. Plus Spider.
"Aww, Kim, Max, can I go to school here?"
"...uh Tuk, I think that's a question for another day..." preferably when your mom isn't about to bite my head off thought Kim.
"Yeah definitely. Definitely not the best time right now." Max was sweating bullets trying not make eye-contact with the Captain who was very not subtlety growling at him.
'We fucked up.' they both thought.

The Truth Part 1
Qimir x Jedi reader
Part 2
Your view:
My master and I are on a mission together. "Concentrate!" he calls, and I shake my head and attack the enemy again. But my thoughts wander back to my dead brother, and I am thrown to the ground. My master rushes to my aid and kills him. "What's wrong with you?" he asks, surprised, and I sit up. "Master, it's... I miss my brother," I say sadly.
"You have to learn to live with it and stop thinking about it. It affects your mind and you lose concentration during fights," he says, slightly annoyed. I look at him in surprise. He has never spoken to me like that before. My master has been acting strange lately, ever since he came back from the mission where my brother died. "What happened on the mission?" I ask, standing up. "I already told you," he says calmly. "You're lying," I say. "You call your master a liar?" he asks angrily. "I want to hear the truth," I say angrily. We started arguing until...
"It was an accident!" he shouts, and I look at him in shock. "You killed my brother," I say, stunned. "It was an accident," he says quietly. Anger and sadness mix and I use the Force. He grabs hold of his neck. "Y/N," he says, shocked.
I scowl at him and carry on, gripping my lightsaber so tightly that my knuckles turn white.
"I trusted you. You taught me everything and you took care of me and my brother. You lied to me and took my brother, the only family I had left. You just killed him," I say angrily and clench my fist. My master falls limply to the ground and I realize what I just did.
Suddenly a strange figure appears. He is wearing a mask and is coming closer. I activate my lightsaber. The once blue blade turns blood red. I am surprised that something like this is possible.
“I’ve been watching you,” the man says.
"I want to make you an offer," he begins and I watch him carefully. "Be my acolyte and let me train you," he says.
I look at the stranger and shake my head. "No, never," I say and grab my master's lightsaber and run to the ship.
Qimir’s view:
I take off my mask and watch her go. She has so much potential. I hope I see her again and can get her to be my acolyte.
I look at the dead man and am still impressed that she killed her master without a weapon.
Your view:
I returned to Coruscant and reported to the Council that my master died on the mission and I barely escaped. I asked the Council if they could station me in Olega for a while and they agreed.
I'm just packing my backpack when my lightsaber catches my eye. I lift it up and activate it. The red blade appears. "How is that possible?" I ask myself quietly.
I think again about the stranger who appeared. What was he doing there? And why didn't he kill me? He doesn't seem to be a Jedi. I shake my head and continue packing my backpack. Then I set off for Olega.
Olega
I put my things away and decided to go for a walk. I hid my lightsaber on the back of my Jedi robe and took my master's lightsaber with me.
The Jedi gave so much to me and my brother. Our home was attacked and our parents died. They felt the Force in both of us and took us with them. That's how I met my master.
I was so lost in thought that I ran into someone and lost my balance. Just before I hit the ground, someone grabbed me and pulled me towards him. I looked up and saw that a man was holding me. He looked at me and grinned. "Hey, beautiful," he said and I blushed. "H-Hey," I stammered and quickly pulled away from him. "Sorry," I apologized. "No need to apologize," he smiled and looked me up and down. "Are you a Jedi?" he asked and I nodded. "Could you help me with something?" he asked and I looked at him skeptically. Does he want to kill me?
"Hey, I'm not planning to killing you," he laughs. "How did you know what I was thinking?" I ask cautiously. "I didn't know, but I'm good at reading people," he grins.
"My name is Qimir," he smiles and holds out his hand to me. I hesitantly take his hand. "Y/N," I say.
"What a beautiful name," he smiles and I blush again. "What do you need my help with?" I ask. "Come with me," he says and I carefully follow him. "Don't get me wrong, but you look pretty worn out. Did something go wrong with your Jedi thing?" he asks. "Jedi thing? That's what you call it?" I ask, amused. "In my defense, I don't really know what the Jedi do," he defends himself and I laugh.
We enter the pharmacy. "Are you the new pharmacist?" I ask. "Yes," he says.
Qimir puts a few things away. "Come here," he waves me over. "I need your help to make something. If I do it alone, it will take too long," he says.
"Tell me, have we met before? Because you look's familiar to me," I ask. "No, because I would remember such a beauty," he grins and I blush again. It's somehow nice to get compliments like that, especially from Qimir. But he still seems familiar to me.
“Do you want to help?” he asks, interrupting my thoughts.
Well, it might distract me from the fact that I killed my master and I don't mind and don't feel any remorse. "Yes," I smile.
Qimir gave me precise instructions on what to do.
"Done," I say and turn around. Qimir and I are standing very close to each other. "Thank you for your help," he smiles. "I was happy to help you," I smile.
We look at each other intensely. Qimir looks cute and it's very nice to talk to him. But I'm still a Jedi, more or less.
The shop door opens and we part ways. “Hey Mae,” Qimir greets the girl.
Mae looks at me skeptically. "Who is that?" she asks. "Oh, that's Y/N, she helped me," he says and suddenly puts an arm around me. I tense up a little because I'm not used to such touches.
"She's a Jedi," Mae says, shocked. "Are you crazy, Qimir? Do you know what you're doing? She can stop us," she growls, and Qimir raises his hands. "She's different from the others," he says. "How?" she asks, and Qimir looks at me. "I don't know, but... something is different from the others," he says. "I'm still here," I say. "Look, I don't want to cause any trouble or problems. I'm going," I say, and walk to the door.
I turn to Qimir. "Maybe we'll see each other again soon," I smile and make my way back to the temple.
Narrator’s point of view:
"Would you ever think before you do something?" Mae asks, annoyed. "I needed help, Mae," says Qimir. "And I have no idea where you've been again," he says. "I had something to do," she simply says.
In the evening
Your view:
I'm lying in my bed and my thoughts keep wandering to Qimir. I notice that I'm slowly falling in love with him. I just feel safe and secure around him.
I sigh and turn around. I'm torn between the Jedi Code and my feelings for him. I've lost my brother. Actually, nothing really keeps me with the Jedi anymore.
I close my eyes and slowly fall asleep.
I suddenly feel the dark aura and immediately turn around. "You," I say, shocked, and see the stranger in front of me.
"What do you want?" I ask, but get no answer. He comes closer to me and I back away. "Do you think the Jedi care about you?" he asks. "Do you think the Council didn't know what your master did to your brother?" he says. "Y-you're lying," I say. "What reason would I have to lie?" he asks me and I look at the floor.
He comes over to me and forces me to look at him. "You're still not a Jedi Knight. Haven't you ever wondered why?" he asks. "They're holding you back. They're afraid of your power. You have so much potential and they're keeping you small. The Jedi are afraid they won't be able to control you if you get stronger," he says. "Don't worry," he says, stroking my cheek with his thumb. "We'll see each other again soon," he says and everything goes dark.
I jump up and look around. The window has been opened. Wait, was he here?
The Council cannot possibly know that my master killed my brother. He would no longer be my master. But is he right? Are the Jedi keeping me down because they're afraid of me?
Qimir’s view:
When I notice that she is starting to wake up, I quickly disappear from her room and through the window and go back to the store.
Once there, I quickly put my other clothes back on. At first I wanted Y/N to be my acolyte, but now, what can I say? I've fallen in love with her and I hope I was able to help her see the truth. I feel this spark of darkness in her and I also feel that this spark is getting stronger.
Your view:
I was in my room all morning thinking about what he told me. I suddenly hear a familiar voice and look outside. I see Yord, Jecki and Master Sol and immediately go downstairs.
"Y/N," smiles Jecki. Yord and Sol also turn to me. "Hey," I smile. "I'm sorry about your master," says Yord. "He really was a very good master," says Sol.
Yes, if you only knew.
"Has something happened?" I ask and Jecki explains everything to me: Osha has a twin sister, she thought she was dead, she killed Master Torbin and this new pharmacist seems to be involved somehow.
I'm honestly pretty shocked, but I try to keep my composure. "Is everything okay? You look like you've seen a ghost," Yord says. "Yeah, yeah, I'm fine, it's just... it's all a bit much. I'm going to go back to my room," I say and leave without even waiting for an answer.
Later in the evening
I watched everything from my room, including Sol fighting Mae. I decided to help Qimir and Mae and sneak into the shop.
Qimir turns to me in surprise. "What are you doing here?" he asks and I cover his mouth. "Shh," I whisper. "I'll help you and Mae off the planet," I whisper and take my hand away from his mouth. "Well, first of all, the next time you want me to be quieter, use your mouth instead of your hand," he grins. "And secondly, why do you want to help us? Shouldn't you actually be stopping us? That's what the Jedi do," he says.
I sigh. "Believe me, I'm far from being a Jedi now," I say. "Then come with us," he says, coming closer. "I can't, Qimir," I say quietly. "Why?" he whispers.
We are standing very close to each other now. "I-I don't know. I'm just scared," I say quietly and look at the ground.
Qimir gently grabs my chin and forces me to look at him. "It's okay," he whispers, caressing my cheek with his thumb.
"I'll try to find Mae," I whisper and break away from Qimir.
It took me a while, but I was able to find Mae. "Hey," I say, and she turns around, startled. She immediately goes into fighting stance. "Wait," I say, raising my hands. "I want to help you and Qimir get off the planet."
"Why?" she asks skeptically. "Why should you help us? You're a Jedi," she says, and I sigh. "Can I tell you something?" I ask. She nods hesitantly, and I tell her everything that happened to my brother, that I killed my master, and the encounter with the stranger.
"You met him," she says, more to herself. "Do you know him?" I ask. "Yes. He's my master," she says, and I look at her in surprise. "I'm sorry about your brother," she says. "Thank you," I smile weakly. "Come, I know where we can hide," I say, and Mae follows me.
Mae and I sit opposite each other. "Can I tell you something too?" she asks after a while. "Of course," I say.
Mae tells everything that happened – from the death of her mother to the moment she met her master.
“I’m sorry, you’ve been through so much,” I say.
“We should sleep,” she says after a while and I agree.
the next day
"Mae, you have to get Qimir. I can't do that, the Jedi are watching him. You two come here and I'll take you to a ship," I say and Mae nods before she sets off.
What if the stranger is right and the council knew about it? I still can't really believe that my master killed my brother. My brother was always so cheerful. We often went on missions together. He always claimed he was better than me and we always bet. I smile when I think of how many times he said I cheated. I shake my head to regain my focus. I see Mae and Qimir coming running.
"Hey, beautiful woman," Qimir grins. "Hello, handsome," I grin and Qimir looks a little surprised, but smiles. "Okay, could you stop flirting? We have to get out of here," Mae says. "Right," I say. "Come on, we have to go this way," I say and walk ahead.
As I walk around the corner, I see two Jedi and immediately take a few steps back. I grab Qimir and Mae by the arm and push them against the wall. "What..." I cover Qimir's mouth and he raises an eyebrow questioningly. "Unfortunately, I didn't have time to use my mouth instead of my hand," I roll my eyes and take my hand away from his mouth.
“What’s going on between you two?” she asks, confused.
“Come on, we have to move on,” I say and run ahead again.
After a few minutes we reach the ship. "I have to go back to the temple now," I say and Qimir holds me tight. I'm about to ask him what's wrong, but he pulls me into a kiss.
I'm shocked at first and need a moment, but then I return the kiss.
I put my arms around his neck and pull him closer. After a few moments we break away from the kiss. "I promise you, we'll see each other again," he says and kisses me again.
“Hey, we have to hurry,” Mae interrupts.
"See you," smiles Qimir and climbs into the ship. I touch my lips and feel a tingling sensation and smile.
I'm just walking back to the temple. "Y/N," I hear Yord call and turn around. "Hey, what's up?" I ask. Yord tells me what happened and that they're going back to Coruscant because Master Sol wants to report to the council.
"Are you coming with us?" asks Yord. "Come on, Y/N, you can't leave me here alone with him," Jecki comes over to us. "Hey," complains Yord. "Master Sol wants to travel to Khofar to save Master Kelnacca, but the council has to agree to that," explains Jecki. "Why save him?" I ask. "Mae has a master and at the time there were four Jedi stationed on her home planet, including Master Kelnacca and Master Sol. She wants to kill them all. Mae will travel to Khofar next," explains Jecki.
“I'll come with you,” I say.
So I see Qimir again, but something makes me suspicious. He said we would see each other again. He was as sure of it as if he had seen it. Qimir says he can read people well, that may be true, but he could never see the future, not without being connected to the Force. I shake my head, maybe he just said that.

MWAH I'm so excited for you all to read this <3 Pinterest Board Spotify Playlist
The city was buzzing, breathing life into what had formerly been a word on a map to Billy. Beings of every species imaginable were conversing, haggling over prices and gossiping amongst themselves. It was impossible to stand still without touching anyone.
Billy's pockets were newly lined with the reward of his latest bounty, not as much as he would have liked for his efforts, but something, nonetheless. When he was newer to this line of work, maybe it would have put a spring in his step. Maybe he'd have even whistled, allowing himself a look at the shiny blasters arranged at the nearby table, maybe even considering buying one.
But today his spirits were lowered, melancholy even. His boots trudged along the dusty footprints of those who'd walked before him, hands shoved in his pockets. He ignored the call of surrounding merchants, letting their voices blend into the hum.
It was the same thing over and over again. He'd find some treasure long prized by a pawn dealer, risk his neck to locate it, and accept a measly price in return. Later today he'd fork over a portion to Jesse, the price for using the gang's name to secure better offers. And then the cycle would repeat.
It was a baseless existence. Flying all over the galaxy, getting his hands on things others deemed precious. It was funny- it all looked so important on the pages of a book, but not once when he held it in person did it feel that way. As far as he was concerned, it was terribly unimportant, faint relics destined for a life on the shelf. He almost felt bad removing them from their natural states. Every gem, every weapon...it felt like robbing a grave.
Clumping down the road until he emerged from the mouth of the crowd, Billy stopped for a moment, leaning against the brick of a building close at hand. On a normal night he'd go to the bar, but right now it seemed unappealing. The last thing he needed was a drink. He supposed he could return to his ship and retire early for the night. Goodness knew he didn't get enough sleep as it was.
Standing up straight, Billy was about to make his way back in the direction of his ship when a peculiar sound caught his ear.
"Excuse me sir...I need to get past..."
"Pretty little thing. C'mon sweetheart..."
Immediately Billy turned sharply, searching for the source. He took a step forward, ducking his head around the corner into an alleyway. The sight before him nearly made his blood boil.
A man, clearly heavily intoxicated, grasping the arm of a young woman. Billy couldn't tell what species she was from first glace, but she looked remarkably human from here. In the soft glow of the sunset, he could see the shine of her hair. There was a glow that seemed to brighten her from the inside out, as if her heart was made of light. Her eyes were wide, fear pooling in the centers.
You stared up at your captor, struggling slightly. "Please. Just let me go."
"Ain't lettin' one of your kind slip past," the man spat. Billy winced- he could practically feel his hot, liquor tainted breath from here. "Damn star people."
It hit Billy like a shot to the stomach, his body stiffening as he realized it. Your glow. You weren't human at all.
Star people were rare to see, especially in a place as godless as this. Said to have been born from the heavens themselves, star people were a legend lilted from the lips of bounty hunters far and wide across the galaxy. The blood coursing through their veins wasn't crimson, but golden, and it ran for a price that was enough to set a man up for life. The species made themselves scarce due to this fact.
When Billy was learning the art of the hunt, he'd accompanied a man seasoned on the market, seeking a rare plant with silver berries going for a decent price. It had confused him when they hunted down a man with a golden luster and tied him down instead of scouring the nearby forest. He assumed they were going to question him about the location of the plant, let him go when he'd given up such trusted information.
But instead, his companion drew a knife, turning to Billy with a hungry look in his eyes. "Watch 'n learn Kid. Always seize the opportunity for a better bounty."
Much to Billy's horror, the knife came down on the golden man's skin, drawing forth a spurt of shining liquid. He was paralyzed watching him bleed out, his inside life force collected by someone so overtaken by greed that he failed to realize the awful thing he was doing.
The memory of the star person's face as he died had haunted Billy ever since he witnessed it. It was the reason he'd never collected a living bounty since. And it was the reason his feet were moving forward now, straight into the alleyway. His hands tore the man away from you, shoving him aside. His body hit the ground with a heavy thump, buying you some time. Billy extended a hand to you. "Come with me. Before he gets up."
You shrank back a bit, the sight of another man so close likely terrifying. Billy winced at the swiftness of his actions, but he emphasized his hand. "It's okay. I'm not gonna hurt you."
In the dim light, Billy could see the golden sheen filling your body with light, the freckles dotting your arms like a sun had kissed them. There were strands of gold woven into your hair, making you appear nearly unreal. And suddenly the notion of you being descended from the stars didn't seem so impossible.
Slowly, you set your fingers in the palm of his hand, your soft touch igniting something in him, a conflagration that reached from his toes to his hairline. When he looked into your eyes, he could have sworn they were glowing.
Carefully, he led you out of the alleyway, back into the streets, which were emptying with each strain of darkness that settled in. Your breathing was slowing down as you followed him, shoes barely making a sound on the cobblestone ground.
There was a loud clatter behind you that sounded suspiciously like a blaster falling from a holster, and Billy squeezed your hand without thinking. "Quick-run!"
Almost akin to a doe, you started sprinting with him, surroundings becoming a blur. Your skirt trailed behind you, the pale color of it making it look like you were being followed by mist. It and your top were of light iridescence, shimmering as you hurried along beside him. It was mesmerizing how gracefully you ran, and it made him feel a hundred pounds heavier as his boots clomped alongside your slippers.
There were string lights swooping over the gap in the streets, twinkling like your eyes. You both came to an abrupt stop once you turned a corner, panting for breath. Your hand was still engulfed in his, and he didn't complain when you kept hold.
Turning his face to you, Billy was expecting distress, tears even. But your expression was elated. Shoulders rising up and down, your eyes caught on his, the sight of your smile making him feel as though he was watching the sunrise. "Do you think he was even chasing us?" A breathy giggle trailed after your words like fairy dust.
Billy couldn't help his own chuckle bubbling from his lips. "Better safe than sorry."
Putting your free hand to your heart, you took in a deep breath, watching him warmly. "Thank you for rescuing me. He's been following me all night and I made a mistake in where I went to try and lose him."
"My pleasure." Billy tipped his hat. It was a product of his upbringing more than anything, but he imagined even the worst of scoundrels would find themselves gentlemen in your presence.
He was endeared when you lifted the sides of your skirt, sweeping a foot delicately behind your ankle and bowing your head. "Twas good of you anyways, sir."
"Billy." He was grinning.
"Billy." You said it so lightly, so curiously, and he wanted to exile his name from everyone else's mouth. In sweet tones, you told him your name too. Your identifying word could have been anything and he would have found it beautiful simply because it was attached to you.
Taking in a breath as fine as spun silk, you said, "I truly do appreciate what you did. Not everyone would have." The luscious curtain of your hair fell over your shoulder as you leaned in, and the ambrosial scent of you filled his nose. Every detail of you was coming to light, enhancing you when he thought he'd already viewed perfection. Billy was no purveyor of the arts, but you were a masterpiece.
You were close enough that he could see every freckle that dotted the smooth plane of your face, and their gold color. The beads of your top kissed your arms like droplets of water. Even as the night settled upon the world, your skin glimmered, every shining strand of hair winking at him like a call to reach out and touch. He was sure that you would melt under his roughened fingers if he did.
Remembering himself, he cleared his throat, nodding once. "Maybe not everyone knows what's right."
Something changed in your eyes, and he saw a flicker, a flame in your irises. Suddenly he couldn't seem to tear his eyes away, like both your hearts were magnets yearning to connect. Pushing your hair over a shoulder, your eyelashes fluttered as you peered up at him. He was unsure if it was your heavenly origins that were drawing him in, or if it was you. "Can I walk you back home?" The sentence slipped from his mouth before he could regulate it, his body's natural instinct to be near you for longer.
Even the littlest hint of your smile was dazzling. Your head bobbed up and down, and you squeezed his hand lightly. "I'd like that."
Oh how he would thank the heavens later.
The cosmos were brimming with eternal wonders that burned at their edges, gathering in the dark side of every moon and hiding in the shadow of the rings of silvery planets. Billy had been far and wide across the space of the galaxy, seen things man could never dream up. But never had he been so captivated by anything as you.
Your coppery aura enveloped him like an aphrodisiac, crashing over him and rebounding like the waters of some lost ocean. He was tethered to even the mere idea of you.
You chattered as he walked with you to your residence, and he felt like he was listening to a song. Your being seemed to not only decorate space, but time, and he'd lose a thousand hours in your presence if he could.
"I haven't lived here for long," you explained when he asked, eager to hear you talk about yourself. "I travel between planets, seek passage wherever I can find it. Travelling is my favorite thing." You smiled, seeming to lift off your feet at the thought. "What brings you around here?"
"For work," he said, tearing his eyes away from you to look ahead. Feathered creatures were flying low between string lights, the buzz from earlier dulled to a quiet hum. "I find things for folks who want 'em. 'n they pay me to do it. The last buyer was here."
"You're a treasure hunter?" you asked, delighted by the idea. He exhaled softly, smile growing. Treasure hunter sounded much better than bounty hunter.
He nodded, looking back at you. "Yeah. 'xactly. I find pretty things that folks wanna have."
"So you get to go all over the place," you mused, swaying slightly as you walked like a willow in the breeze. "It must be so wonderful."
"It's exciting, sure," he commented, scratching the back of his head. It was beguiling how much interest you were taking in him, in what he did. Nobody had ever done that before.
You chewed on your bottom lip, pace slowing as you seemed to think of something. Lifting your eyes to his, you let go of his hand and asked, "Does anyone ever want to have something like me?" The question was delivered quietly, with a sense of dismay Billy wanted to scrub from the air. You didn't deserve to ever have to feel such harrowing emotions.
He held your gaze, the reality of the situation seeming to gamble with his feelings. Would you want to talk to him after learning what he was, what people in his occupation did? "Yeah," he found himself saying. "But I ain't in that kinda business."
"You're not?" Conduct lightening again, you held a spark of hope in the vision of you.
"I don't go after anythin' livin'. It's cruel," he assured you, searching your eyes. "Others do. But not me."
There it was again, that divine smile that Billy wanted burnt into his eyes. You took his hand again, resuming walking, and he felt something warm him on the inside. "I'm glad. I'm glad that you don't."
"Me too," he agreed, enjoying the weight of your hand in his. It was almost like you didn't realize the significance of the gesture, like you were doing it simply because it felt nice. There was nothing but innocence attached.
It was blissful just walking with you, watching you point out different things around. You were enthralled by every facet of your surroundings, enchanted by the littlest things. It was adorable- the way you'd gasp and lift a gold-tinted fingernail, the object of your fascination ranging from bugs to buildings. It only made you more wholly beautiful, and he wished the walk was longer.
When the sky was completely black, you stopped in your tracks, another little gasp of the variety he'd grown to love passing your lips. "There they are!"
He followed your gaze up, to where the stars were blinking in patterns stretching far and wide, limbs that glittered in the same wondrous way you did. You lifted a hand in a wave that melted his heart, beaming up at the glinting little spheres. "They're my family. I wave at them every night to let them know I'm okay."
Your words were anointed with a reverence artfully arranged. Billy watched you for a moment. "Hope they're okay with me takin' you home."
"They're very grateful that you've kept me safe," you insisted, squeezing his hand gently. He was stabilized by you, held to the ground. If you left the planet, his gravity would be gone and he would float out into the sky with nary a worry except that he wouldn't pass you on his way through space.
The effect of you had to be alchemistic, a mercurial drug crafted specifically to wrench him in like prey to predator. But you were in front of him, soft and sweet with no possible hint of danger. And Billy felt as though he'd been knocked over the head, seeing an illusion borne of his own loneliness. Though anything of that manner would have faded by now. You remained in his line of sight, roseate and sparkling as only a descendant of the heavens could.
The two of you had reached the edge of the forest, the cobblestone street fading into rich brown earth. You were glowing ever so slightly, enough to distinguish you as extraordinary, and he felt as though he was in a dream, trailing behind you as a shadow.
Stopping there, you turned to him, a darling smile seeming to brighten your light. "Thank you again. For walking me home. And for helping me out."
"'s no problem, sweet." The term of endearment slipped out, and he cursed himself for the half a second before you smiled.
"It was nice," you started, and he found himself hanging onto every word, every breath you exhaled. "To talk to someone who wasn't wanting something else from me." Your doe eyes were boring a hole into him, and he would have disintegrated into dust.
"I liked talkin' to you too," he said, hearing the awe he'd felt all night with you creep into his words. "D'ya...d'ya think I'll see you 'round here again?"
"If it's written in the stars," you smiled, letting go of his hand. With one last look at him, you disappeared through the trees in the blink of an eye, soft glow visible through the mess of branches, then fading into the distance like a candle burning out.
For a moment, all Billy could do was stand there, grinning like a fool. He hadn't even known he was capable of feeling as strongly as he had when you were around. He'd held the hand of a fallen star. A daughter of celestial magnitude.
Chuckling in disbelief, he only turned around when your glow was swallowed by the forest, never dimming, just hidden like a light under a bushel. His steps were meandering, and he retraced his footsteps, drunk on the memory of you. Oh, wouldn't it be nice if he saw you again?
It wasn't every day a star girl smiled at him.

This isn't about Hoyo I just needed to vomit some AFTG thoughts into a public space and I just finished ToS and I'm rabid. I have no idea how many of y'all even read this series but spoilers. And trigger warnings. Anyways.
Okay what the fuck ever the thing about ToS isn't just about of the extra trigger warnings and things that made me wanna throw up and cry at the same time. It's about how horribly, tragically awful it is that Jean is full of so much love. He always has been. It's not just haha what a pansexual no. Jean craves affection so fucking much. He's weak to pretty people and devastated by kind people. He clung to Kevin. He clung to Renee. He even clung to Thea, who affectionately called him Paris as he trailed her like a little duckling. He spits and rages and claws at them all, calling them every rabid name in the dictionary and beyond. He has a laundry list of insults for Neil, who freed him, one of the only people he truly trusts. It's just that he never expects it back. He never wants it back because it hurts so much worse when it's gone. People hurt him when it's gone. He says "I can take it" and "this is normal" because he would burn if he couldn't.
This is why he rejects the Trojans. Every "don't you see" and "why do you look away" is well-meaning but twice as hurtful because accepting it would mean Jean didn't hurt because he deserved it. Without that crutch it means he suffered for nothing. He hurt for nothing. Accepting it would mean that Jean would have to open up and fully comprehend the absolute horrors that were done not just to his life but to his personhood. To him. He was a child and a victim and he deserved to be saved and he wasn't. Not until it was too late. All of those years after being sold by his parents, yearning, aching to be loved by somebody and used as a toy and a scapegoat in return by anyone who touched him. Love is painful. Trust is painful. And Jean will love and love and love until it kills him and he knows it.
But this is why Kevin sent him to the Trojans. They may not understand survival and suffering the way the Foxes do, but they're genuine. They may be misguided with some of their efforts and need to take time learning how Jean works but they try and try and keep trying. They understand their own faults and healthy coping mechanisms and how to treat your worst enemies with respect. Hell, nearly the entirety of Jeremy's inner circle are in queer relationships with each other except for himself because he's too busy thinking about other people to work on that. This is what Jean needs to learn, that people can give without asking for anything in return. That people can be selfless and care for one another without ulterior motives. That love can be healthy and beautiful and not cruel.
And listen. I've been rooting for Jerejean for eight goddamn years. You have no idea how hard I fell when I realized that the ship that embodies the entire idea of healing, self-growth, and respect had been actualized and it's everything I ever wanted and more. The fact that Jeremy helps Jean buy his very first possession. The fact that he's so protective of Jean and thinks he's more important than exy, that Jean will be his success story. When he holds his hands and begs him to open up and backs off when Jean needs space, but never leaves and never gives up. How he spends so much time organizing people and schedules and events just so Jean can feel safe walking around campus. He never pushes too hard, but he never stops pushing. He's so patient. He wants Jean. He wants him so bad, but more than that, he wants Jean to love himself above all else. He's there when Jean has a panic attack at the pool, and sticks around as close as he can after Jean gets attacked. He stays up by the door all night when Jean goes out with Neil to an unknown location. All of this on top of revitalizing the Trojans, dealing with his shit family and the shittier rumors, having to train Jean out of killing his team and teaching his team to trust Jean in return.
Even after all of that his number one priority is always Jean, his head is filled with Jean, making the world comfortable and safe for Jean. It's making sure all of his friends know Jean. Never letting Jean be alone. Getting another twin bed so he can room with him. Always correcting himself, slowing down and speeding up so he can match Jean's pace. Fucking Barkbark. And yes, Renee could have done this too. She was the right person, and yes, the wrong time. But Jeremy found Jean at the right time, a time where he would dedicate everything to Jean. And if Jean one day turns around and wants to give that back, he'll be there, but he'll be just as happy knowing Jean is going to be okay.
ToS is a story about healing. It's about growth and battling the consequences of a life you did not choose. It's about unfairness. It's about what happens after a tragedy, and how to cope with yourself as much as you cope with the outside world. It's about becoming. It's about demons. It's about loyalty. It's about love. It's not about romance. Not yet. But it's about a romance that couldn't exist without it. It's setting up a story about someone who learns to accept that, tragically, he deserves to be treated like a human being. With love. And that he can still have it. That it's right there, waiting for him, when he's ready. He just has to reach out and take it.

Hello pookies! I've made this one because i saw a very VERY hot edit of Johny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow and of course, I'm a simp and into older people. so I hope this explain a lot.
Also you can also read this in my Tumblr acc.!
__________________________
"Captain, are you sure this is a wise idea? I mean, were in Tortuga. What if he knows were here?" One of your crew asked, as you and the crew stepped out of the ship one by one.
You turned around to face them. A stern look on your face.
"Its fine, beside we've been sailing for two years and land is the only place where that bastard Jack Sparrow can't steal nor touch my things," You explained. Ever since Jack had heard of your name and titles, Jack has been visiting you and your crew for almost 1 and a half years now and it annoyed you so much that you could murder anyone.
"Were just gonna have a little walk and try to relax today. Were gonna meet here again and leave tomorrow at 7 in the morning. For now, just enjoy the time." You finished your sentence and the crew nodded to you.
"Aye aye, captain!" They cheered happily before walking away into different directions.
You sighed tiredly as you started to relax your tense body.
maybe today will be a relaxing day.
You then walked around the place, visiting different store and even went to a library. You decided to stop at your favorite bar but as you get closer to the main entrance, you saw a huge fight, people gathered around and shouting, others even bet some money of who will win. You stopped at your tracks and turned back around. You couldn't and won't ever waste your precious time hearing the sound of fight and the sound of glasses shatter into small pieces. You sighed irritated but took a deep breath to calm yourself. You won't let anything ruin your day today.
I guess the library is the best choice then.
You walked back to the library and spend the rest of your time there, reading books, novels, and even learned something on the books called Science. You were sitting at the same place which was in the corner of the huge room, enjoying your time alone until you heard girls squealing. You turned your head to the direction of the annoying voice and saw 2 girls, looking at you with a clear blush on their cheeks. You blinked your eyes multiple times, but nonetheless, ignored the two girls.
Time passed and you continue to ignore the girls until you couldn't take it and dash out of the library. You looked up to the sky and a cold breeze hit your cheeks. You figure out it was the best time to go and drown yourself with rum, after all, you don't have anything to do now. You sigh in relief once you saw that the fight earlier had died down and you let yourself enter the bar.
You sat at the tool and ordered a bottle of rum. Once the rum have arrived, you brought it to your lips and begun to drown it. The hot feeling of the rum running down on your throat made your body relax more. This continued three more times and once you were on your 3rd bottle, the door of the bar opened and the guy sat next to you. You couldn't see their face because of the freaking hat he was wearing. You dropped your bottle of rum down and closed your eyes, feeling a bit tipsy. You were savouring the moment of relaxation not until the feeling of your bottle slipping away from your grasp.
You opened your eyes and looked at the man next to you, now the man's hat was on the table and the first thing you recognize is his brown hair and dreadlocks. You glared your eyes at him, already feeling annoyed.
"What in the name of Davy Jones are you doing here?" You spat, keeping your eyes at him no matter what.
"Oh, hey there captain. Fancy meeting you here." He simply said, having his signature smirk on his soft lips. You rolled your eyes at him and snatched your rum back to you.
"Hmm, I wonder why? came to take something you want, perhaps?" You slurred, as you looked around the bar and people continued to increase each seconds.
Jack's grin only widened more, he knows his getting under your sleeves again. "Not actually, just came for the love of my life." He said and you raised your eyebrows.
"You mean this?" You asked as you pointed your finger at the rum on the table.
"Yes...and no." Jack replied while fidgeting with his fingers, and you couldn't help but roll your eyes.
"You really expect me to believe you won't steal anything from me?" You said with a chuckle following behind, "I know you Sparrow and you won't fool me this time. not like the others."
Jack furrowed his eyebrows and took a swig of the rum, "Oh come on love, you really believe those rumors about me? well I'll tell ya', I'm not a liar but a man of my word." He slurred, looking at you with his teasing smile.
"It's captain l/s to you, Sparrow." You sneered, giving him a death glare. And then there was the annoying feeling again, it was like something was moving inside your stomach that made your whole body tense. There it is again. so annoying.
You took another swig of your rum while Jack looked at you in silence.
"You know, you've been calling me by my last name and never heard you say my name. Do you perhaps fancy my last name, hmm?" He states, moving his body to face your sides, acting like he's the one in charge, "Because if you want it, I can replace yours into mine."
The liquid that was just about to go down to your throat, suddenly burst out of your mouth and onto the table. You slammed down the bottle of rum, wiping your lips with the hem of your sleeves while looking at Jack with wide eyes full of shock.
Jack's smile only grew wider once he saw your reaction and he's loving it. You on the other hand, were looking at him with many mixed emotions. You tried to say something back at him but your voice won't even come out. The tingling feeling came back to your stomach and this time, you felt your cheeks getting really hot.
"What? cat caught your tounge, love?" He asked, still looking at you teasingly which only brought your cheeks more hotter.
You tear your eyes away from him and looked around the bar.
The way he looked at you, you could tell he was enjoying every second of him teasing you like this.
You stand your ground and clear your throat before speaking to him, covering your emmbarassment.
"Let's get this straight and tell me upfront, why exactly are you here?"
You can see Jack smirk before letting out a deep breath and you can feel your body tense each second. "I've been planning on stealing your heart for a while now, but I seem to be having a really hard time achieving it." Jack mumbled quietly, and it made you confused. Why does Jack Sparrow need your heart? Did someone order Jack to kill you and take your heart out?
"For the fucking last time. What do you want?" You gave Jack a death glare and your hand having a tight grip, showing him that you're not playing the game no more.
"What do I want?" He chuckles, before pulling out his pistol and pointing it at you, " Oh no dear, it's not a want but a need."
You furrowed your eye brows together, looking at Jack's pistol then to his eyes again, "And what exactly do you need from me?" You asked slowly.
Jack tapped his pistol on your chest where your heart lies inside, and slid his pistol under your chin,
"I need you on my side, forever until my very last breath here on earth."

( makes a lot of sense cuz I have a request before the last one and wonder if it got to the shadow zone )
Anyways, let's remake the request, aunt reader after Kiri got her seizure aunt stay with her brother and also try to be the supportive person, and when the kids gets kidnapped her down to earth demeanor change to one of her wanting blood and during the raid she fight everything she got to get the kids out of the ship and to safety
But she sacrificed her life to make sure that the kids are all out, Neteyam is alive but not aunty reader
Her final words to the family is to keep on going and she gift her brother and neytiri their parents ring saying mom would have wanted them to keep it
I swear I couldn't make this any longer. I have three nephews, they are still little. But shit… I would give my life for my chicks. This series of 'aunt y/n' touches my heart.
"Kids come here" you hear your mom call out to you. It was a beautiful afternoon, and you were playing with your two older brothers. The three of you quickly arrived in the kitchen, where your mother was. She was sitting at the table, and she had a pretty little yellow box. "Mom what's that?" says Jake, sitting down next to you. While your other brother sat next to your mother. "Here's something very important…" she opens the box and in it is a beautiful ring. It had an emerald in the center, and it was golden. "I want you to…keep this." She takes it in her hands, and places the ring on a small chain. Then she reaches over and places it around your older brother's neck. Jake stood next to you, as you both watched their mother. " This will be your sign of life…ok, when someone is away. This will be given to the next one." She says, you could tell she was tired. Mom had been sick for a long time…so it was time to pass the ring on.
The fight with the recoms and the RDA team had been brutal. Getting on the boat and trying to get your nephews out alive was your only mission. You had trained for this…to survive. You had done it for the last 20 years, and now you had your family. Your brother was fighting for his family, as were you. Lo'ak was in front, while neteyam held your hand for everyone to keep up. The shooting did not stop. As you reach the edge of the exit, you push spider, then lo'ak follows and there was neteyam, the boy didn't want to leave you. " Auntie Y/n you go first" the boy yells, as he drags you by the arm. " Don't be an idiot…go!!!" you give him the order, while pushing him to jump into the water. Then you follow them, luckily they had taken the lessons your brother had very well.
It was very little time that you had stayed in the Metkayina clan, but it was enough time to learn how to swim and breathe properly. As you came up to the surface, you saw that everyone was there. Lo'ak was hugging spider and neteyam was next to you. It wasn't, until you felt a burning sensation wiggling in your chest. Neteyam quickly placed his hand on the wound. "You are hurt!" the boy was teary-eyed, and lo'ak and spider quickly took the ilu, to take you to a safe area. It all happened so fast, you didn't even have time to think. "I'm…fine" was all you said. Neteyam was holding you in his arms, holding his hand on your chest. Trying to stop the blood from coming out.
When you reached a safe area, Neteyam laid you down. " Aunt…you're going to be fine.it's okay" you see how your nephew won't stop crying, he was desperate. Trying to help and solve something that had no way out. You hear in the distance, how lo'ak shouts jake's name. But neytiri arrives to his answer. "Y/N" the woman calls out and walks over to you, to take your head and nestle it in your lap. "Y/N…no, no…not you" neytiri was your sister…you had become so close. You had known her even longer than jake. "Neytiri…I think" you raise your hand, for her to take it. Neytiri holds your hand, and kisses your palm. Tears fall and slip down her cheeks. "I'm here…we're all here" neytiri says, looking up.
And yes everyone was there. Your family…everyone. Even jake, he had arrived a few seconds ago. "y/n…relax, you'll be fine" says jake his voice sounded dazed. Your free hand goes to your neck, and with what little strength you had you rip off your chain. And you hand yourself over to your brother. "We will be far away brother… it's your turn to have this" you speak, your voice is almost a whisper. Jake starts to cry, but tries to stay strong. His children are there, his mate is there. He couldn't break down, but here was your…his only sister. The only thing he had left of his old life, the only thing he had left of humanity. Neytiri wipes some tears that fell on your cheeks. "I want you to be strong…and I want you to always be together. Whatever happens," you speak, watching as your nephews and nieces stand by their mother's side. "Whatever happens" they say…you can feel kiri's head fall on your thigh. And as lo'ak's whimpers grow louder. "No…you can't leave," says neteyam, as he moves closer to his father, so he can take your hand. "I love you…you know that" jake says, leaning in to give you a kiss on the forehead. "See you on the other side" you laugh a little…as your vision goes white and then everything goes dark.

s3 episode 20 thoughts
dare i say it, once again… new favorite episode??
okay, my previous favorite episode was an ENTIRELY different direction from this one, but i’d say there should be one best episode for serious stuff and one best episode for the silly!!! and this takes the silly crown!! and tbh i can't make an actual hard and fast rating anyway because there are so many great things to choose from- but this is amongst them, for me, in terms of legendary episodes!
please, join me on this ride, which i enjoyed each second of, and will need to someday rewatch without pausing every 0.5 seconds to jot something i noticed down. the live experience begins beneath the cut.
it’s been 84 years…. (3 days since i’ve seen an episode)
ooo, this sounds interesting! is scully going to work with an author?? are we gonna learn more about the things that she reads?? this is prime content to a person like me
stars…. space ship….. filled with tubes and wires and other such things…… just kidding!!! it’s a guy working on some electrical stuff. whilst two people drive by!! i thought they were mulder and scully at first but they are not
“um, i don’t want to scare you, but i think i’m madly in love with you” says this guy who is not mulder but actually named harold to this girl who is not scully but is actually named chrissy. OH! and this is the first date. so that was a weird thing to say. i thought it was quite sweet at first but that changes things for sure.
GASP! UFO be upon them. creatures are coming out to get them. she asks what they are and he says “how the hell should i know?” ooo ooo i know! they are aliens 👽 and then the two fall on top of each other like they are knocked out… and the aliens drag them away????
until a king kong looking fellow rolls up. very puppet-y. and the aliens don’t know what this creature is either!!! and also ask what that thing is and the response is “how the hell should i know?” haha i see what you did there... out aliening the alien
bum bum bum bum…. (<- my attempt at recreating the noise of the intro)
now, what was that? i'm stuck on the king kong and godzilla love child puppet….
scan up on mulder’s iconic poster!!! and a guy is here who is yet again not mulder. his name is mr. chung and mulder will NOT talk to him… oooh, what is their beef…?
mr. chung is saying he always felt alienated on this planet, who can even imagine actual aliens! and he has a point there.
oh! scully is a big fan of this fellow, which is why she agreed to talk to this guy!!! he calls her beautiful, which is true, but time and place
so he isn’t even interested in aliens, but his publisher said he should write a book on the matter. he is going to create a NEW genre: non fiction science fiction, a gimmick that will give him money. this seems somewhat disappointing to scully, who must be a believer in artistic integrity, but i find his honesty refreshing.
she wants him to tell the truth, but apparently he spent 3 months in kass county where all this stuff went down, and NO ONE could tell him what actually happened. the truth is just as subjective as reality. which sounds like something i learned in history class. and, it helps explain why everyone with an alien story starts with some variation of, "i know this sounds crazy, but"...
so he wants HER version of hearing of the case. also he touches her arm and... let's slow down a little there, mr. chung.
OHHH we are seeing a story told in flashbacks!!!! narrated by scully!! how wonderful!!!
this girl is suffering from “missing time”, a phenomenon we have come to know well here on this blog. also her clothes are inside out and she has signs of abuse. not looking great for her.
apparently mulder prefers the term “abductee” to “experiencer”, which mr. chung has valid disagreements with. we go on, however.
this poor girl is seeing aliens that are not there and her nose is bleeding. WAIT! it’s the guy from before! harold and chrissy! he comes to her window to say he did everything he could but she rejects him, thinking he had drugged and assaulted her. yikes.
harold is testifying that he was abducted by aliens, but no one believes him. he stuck to his story UNTIL our agents arrived!
(MULDER SAYS SOMETHING VERY OUT OF POCKET HERE ABOUT GOING TO PRISON BUT LET'S KEEP MOVING)
despite this announcement of presumed prison time, mulder brings chrissy in for questioning. asking her if she has all the symptoms of “post abduction disorder”, which she confirms, while scully rolls her eyes with great force in the background. and he talks the girl’s parents into letting her do hypnosis.
“what is your opinion of hypnosis?”, mr. chung asks scully, which is something i also have been dying to know! i mean, we saw her do a little bit before, but it didn’t seem to be a positive experience. she says it has therapeutic value, but has never been proven to enhance memory; it even makes memory worse. a very balanced and doctor-ly answer!
LMAO scully is so cute… mr. chung mentions another book he wrote and she proclaims it “one of the greatest thrillers ever written” <- STOP I LOVE HER SHE IS SUCH A NERRRRD 😭😭
mr. chung said the FBI knew nothing about how hypnosis worked back during the MK ULTRA days… and he is fascinated by the idea of a person’s consciousness being transformed by listening to words. admittedly very fascinating! you could probably say the same about meditation, no?
(but he speaks to the power of storytelling, i realize now in hindsight! how we find ourselves wrapped up in the tales of things that never happened, how it fills us with sorrow or joy! how fascinating! i see what you did there, writers!)
cutscene to hypnotizing chrissy. who is seeing aliens. she is on a space ship wearing a fit that looks very similar to a lady gaga chromatica era performance, but it has tubes attached to her. harold is in a very similar contraption!!!!
she says the aliens are arguing without moving their mouths and she hears the lead alien in her head saying it’s for the good of her planet. and he is stealing her memories? um. for what purpose...
scully is serving looks in the corner while this goes down, looking mad as hell and very good. she says chrissy's abduction story seems a little TOO typical… and i have to agree! but mulder says no, there are TWO people with the same story! they can't both be lying, surely!
LMAOOOO they play with censoring the dude who comes in and yells at them… “well, of course he didn’t actually say ‘bleeped’”
(BAHAHA i’m loving this insight into how scully’s memories operate. so this angry man is named detective manners)
“you still gonna hold the boy?” “oh, you bet your blankety-blank bleep i am” <- i am a simple woman, and an actor delivering these lines with a straight face whilst surrounded by other actors keeping a very straight face is going to make me cackle. look at her looking so bored while he says that. i’m howling!!!!
anyway, harold has a very different story on what went down that night, that did not seem to involve gaga-inspired fits, but instead they were both placed in electrified cages. while another alien in a nearby cage smokes a cigarette. he seems to be what i would call “an unbothered king”
in this story, harold claims that he will protect chrissy and never let anything happen to her, and of course something immediately happens to her while he hides in the corner like a baby. lmao.
and this alien is talking in english! not telepathically! he keeps repeating “this is not happening” until harold ALSO gets taken by the thing that took chrissy.
mulder is trying to figure out what is going on, but his predictions aren’t lining up with what happened to harold. scully is pacing and looking pissed, and again, very pretty.
“you know when you’re a kid, and you tore the legs off a bug for no reason?”, asks harold (cutscene to mulder’s face with visible confusion) LMAOOOOOOO
scully getting to business: did you engage in consensual sexual intercourse that night? she is not messing around! she's had it up to here with the shenanigans of harold and chrissy!
harold is very very quiet until he says that her father will kill him if he finds out!!! gasp!!! confirmation!!!
so is this whole story just… a cover up??? for fornication???
scully vs mulder time. “so what if they’re having sex?” he asks, which is funny coming from him; and anyway, he claims it happened BEFORE the alien stuff went down. but she thinks they’re traumatized, and that is more likely than alien abduction.
until detective manners bursts in and claims he has an eyewitness to what went down! he used more blanks and bleeps and again the straight faces killllll me
and ALL OF THEM telling their stories start with “i know how crazy this all sounds” just as mr. chung had described LMAOOO. now who tf is this dude who says he was an eyewitness?
(i’m taking soooo many notes because i keep laughing and noting things. which is a good problem to have!)
this dude, named roky, spent 48 hours straight writing down what he saw, and said that by looking at this, they are putting their lives in danger. so okay. better be juicy.
he says his garage door opened up, a car pulled in, and a man told him some facts about venus. he says they put him in a trance! and that they were in all black……
mr. chung says that myths of men in black garments are nothing new!!! so take THAT, men in black legends, you are one of many.
back at roky's place, the other dude in black says jimmy carter thought he saw a UFO once, but it was just venus. roky is scandalized, grabs his paper, and states that he is a REPUBLICAN.
(omg jimmy carter is going to be 100 in a few months god willing…..)
this man in black is saying that roky saw VENUS and nothing else, just VENUS. and not to tell anyone he saw anything but VENUS or he will die. and then the car drives away.
so after that build up, he gives mulder the manuscript, and says he is packing up and leaving. bye bye roky. hope you find some peace.
mulder is reading this story to scully who is sprawled on the bed, looking, again, angry and hot. it seems he is describing that earlier puppet-y action.
oh! roky was the electrical guy from the very beginning!!! he hides in his truck but the king kong looking fellow says “be not afraid” and that he is needed for the good of the earth? what is with the good of the earth here.
cutscene to a very baffled looking scully laying in bed as mulder continues to read LMAOOOOOO
AND ROKY’S STORY SAYS HE WENT NOT TO OUTER SPACE, BUT INNER SPACE HELPPP!!!! now, inner space is towards the core, if you, like me, were unaware. also, king kong godzilla dude’s name is Lord Kinbote, so jot that down.
mr. chung says he has a copy of roky’s manifesto- which was sent to his publisher? and LMAOOO the story is disturbing both for its soul orgy scenes and the fact that it is written as a screenplay
well, surely your partner didn’t believe any of it, mr. chung states! “mulder’s had his share of peculiar notions” is scully's carefully worded reply... LMAOOO
cutscene to her sitting up from the bed and calling him nuts <- LMAOOOOO but HE says that whatever roky saw may have triggered some delusions, and that the only story that doesn’t add up is chrissy’s, so he is calling to get her re-hypnotized, much to scully’s indignation!
so back to the hypnosis. and chrissy is now mirroring harold's story exactly. oh! she says the people who took them are from the air force?? so where did the gaga slay outfits go...
the air force men are arguing in front of her. and then they say to “rinse her out”. saying it is for the good of her country. and stealing her memories!
so WHO is doing the real memory stealing here….. the aliens or the government?? an age old question!!! one that is at the heart of this series.
scully and mulder fight over what is going on, and he thinks that this might have nothing to do with aliens, until detective manners shows up with news that a crazy blankety blank claims to have an ALIEN BODY!!
(what if it’s a raccoon with mange…)
again, the man recounting this story begins with “i know how crazy this is going to sound”, but then says he wants to be abducted by aliens. well! i’m sure that’s a sexual thing i don’t care to unpack.
cutscene to mr. chung interviewing this same man, who wishes to go where finding a job is not a requirement. he was looking in a field for UFOs. and when he called the authorities upon spotting one, the agents show up!!
he says that scully was a man dressed as a woman but not pulling it off??? RUDE AS HELL! jail for 10,000 years. "HER HAIR WAS A LITTLE TOO RED, YOU KNOW?" LMAOOOOO and mulder was the “tall, lanky one” with a blank expression. well yeah that is an accurate depiction.
AND ACCORDING TO THIS GUY'S ACCOUNT, WHEN MULDER SEES THE BODY, HE SHRIEKS LIKE A STARTLED SQUIRREL I’M CRYINGGGG. so scully says to wrap this body up!
BUT THEN SHE GRABS HIM AND SAYS TO NEVER TELL ANYONE HE SAW THIS I’M CRYINGGGG... that had to be such a silly scene to film
okay, seeing the part about subjective truths now. this is so funny... why is this loser making scully a hater in his version!!!
she’s PISSED to hear he claims she said this LMAOOO and that is ridiculous!! they even let him view the autopsy!!
so mulder takes this weirdo’s camera and records the autopsy?? scully cuts his brain open. and the tape ends up on late night television LMAOOOO
SCULLY IS SO EMBARRASSED THAT SHE IS ON THIS ALIEN HOAX AUTOPSY TAPE... I’M CRYING SOMEONE SAVE HER!!! and the host of whatever show they end upon is STUPENDOUS YAPPI FROM THE CLYDE BRUCKMAN EPISODE!!!! i'm howlingggg
she’s mad that whoever got the film edited out all the important scientific findings!!! like the two layers of skin!!!
wait. it’s a zipper. this is a dead guy in an alien suit. LMAOOOOOOOOO
the weird UFO cameraman kid is ill after realizing it was an ordinary dead guy, and scully looks deeply pained as he runs away to get sick LMAOOO
so: who is this dead guy? he was in the air force! and his name is robert. but who arrives but more people from the air force!! are they here to bury him?? or question the agents…
the folks from the air force want robert back, so she has to break the news that he is dead, and being kept for investigation into kidnapping. can they see him? scully is like yeah sure but mulder says no!!! but you CAN talk to the other AWOL guy we brought in. GASP!! a bluff!!! and it works!! from this they learn there is another missing guy!
LMAOOOO except it doesn’t go as smoothly as intended, and mulder is all “hmm he was here a few minutes ago… guess he’s still AWOL… anyway wanna see the body?” I’M CRYING THIS MANNNN IS SO RIDICULOUS
but bad news: the body is gone.
cameraman UFO guy is sitting on his floor watching the autopsy tape. when in bursts… the men in black from the earlier garage scene!!!! they knock him out.
he claims mulder slapped him back to reality. and that he ALSO threatened him... me when i lie.
so mulder doesn’t have the tape. but when he drives home a fully naked man is walking about in the woods. it’s the other missing lieutenant, jack!! he is repeating “this is not happening” in the same voice as the alien as before!!!!! HUH WHAT IS GOING ON?
mulder takes jack to eat. he claims to have piloted the "UFO", and that all the abductions are military stuff, and at the base the abductees are messed with mentally, until they come out convinced they were probed by aliens.
well okay, if its all the government, than what abducted YOU, jack? he isn’t sure about anything at all anymore, even if he exists. until who walks in... but the military!!
wait, mulder points out, it can’t all be fake- who was the third alien? jack seems to know him by name- lord kinbote. HUH?
and mr. chung heard a story about that same night from the cook at the restaurant! apparently mulder ordered sweet potato pie? huh, that’s interesting. and he kept ordering more and more pies with each question he asked the chef. LMAOOOO I just KNOW that scene was hard to film!!!! scenes where people eat always make me wonder how many times they had to have that damn bite of pie.
but he claims there was no jack, nor any air force personnel at all. just a hungry mulder. again, so what is the truth...
mr. chung points out that scully doesn’t seem too phased to learn about all the contradictions in this story, and she says well no, not after what happened next. because when he got back to the motel, the men in black were in her room, going through her stuff! they claim she went to get some ice. he’s got 'em at gunpoint, screaming WHERE IS SHE!!! all protective, okay i see you. but she really did go to get some ice???
okay… man in black says that some alien encounters are engineered by the government and then exposed to discredit truth seekers. and mulder counters, well, people say the men in black also do purposefully strange things, so that anyone describing them sounds crazy! they proceed to… try and hypnotize him?
BUT IT’S ALEX TREBEK WHO IS DOING THE HYPNOTIZING???? LMAOOOOO HAS HE BEEN THE QUIET MAN IN BLACK THIS WHOLE TIME??
mr. chung is GAGGED, and wants to know if it WAS alex trebek, but sadly scully cannot confirm, for has no memory of this!!
she woke up the next morning to mulder in her room….? and mr. chung is also gagged to hear this. me too tbh like did he just sleep on the couch? well we know that is how he sleeps at home so i guess i'm not shocked.
mulder’s trying to explain that she didn’t just "let him in" last night, but detective manners calls and says they found a bleeping UFO.
and what is it but…. a plane!! a secret plane!! and who are they carrying away on stretcher but the missing airmen, jack and robert???? SO HOW DID THEY DIE!
mr. chung puts his pen down, baffled, and scully points out that this story may not have a lot of closure, but it’s more than some of their other cases, which is funny because it is true. and she’s playing with her earrings and it’s so cute.
cutscene to mr. chung typing at his place. until a shadow approaches and he holds a tiny gun!!!! he is ready for a showdown but it’s… mulder at the door?
WAIT how does chung recognize him… did scully show him pictures i'm crying
mulder is in chung's apartment, asking him to not write the book, because it will do a disservice to a field that has always struggled to maintain credibility. we can’t understand these alternate realities yet!!! well. compelling argument... but mr. chung needs a paycheck.
OH! and mulder suspects that the book is a “covert agenda” of the military industrial complex. always theories upon theories with this guy...
mr. chung says the book WILL be written, but he needs an explanation from mulder: what really happened to those kids on that night?
his answer: how the hell should i know?
(it was so perfect, i thought the episode would end right here)
mr. chung says he has deadlines, and mulder looks very sad, very previously neglected shelter dog rizz, and walks out. back to mr. chung’s furious typing.
okay, so the cameraman now works for the electrical company roky worked for. because roky moved to california, preaching on purification and the inner earth and core enlightenment. right right right makes sense.
cutscene to scully reading the finished book by mr. chung!!! she is fictionalized as “diane” who is “noble of spirit and pure of heart” but “nevertheless a federal employee” LMAOOOO
and mulder is “renard muldrake” LMAOOOOO that is such a funny name... he's watching something in bed shirtless as his fictionalized self is being described- “a ticking time bomb of insanity” AND HE’S WATCHING THE BIGFOOT TAPES BAHAHAHAHA
chrissy now is an environmental advocate and harold still loves her but it isn’t required. aww harold :(
mr. chung ends by saying that we are not alone in this universe, but in our own way, we are all alone.
NEW BEST EPISODE CONTENDER???
this feels like one of those posts where people make up a bunch of information and then it all gets proven wrong so it is described as a "net zero information gain" bahaha
but don't get me wrong, i don't fully understand what happened, but i loved it. i was laughing, i was enjoying seeing the subjectivity of one story to the next, i was enjoying scully and chung time, and despite all the silly, we still got clues on the whole "is it aliens or the government" thing. and sure, maybe it doesn't make immediate sense, but you have to ponder these matters to learn what is at their heart!
so what DID we learn? well, some alien cases might be the government! but i guess that is still a "might", so maybe we can't truthfully say we LEARNED it. we learned that scully is a big fan of mr. chung!!! we learned that mulder is fiercely protective of his line of work from all his years of being ridiculed! and that he watches the famous bigfoot tape for fun and also maybe like sweet potato pie? it was unconfirmed.
i really enjoyed the playing with perspective, seeing how one character saw things, and then another. and seeing mulder and scully threaten that dweeb was so funny because it was so out of character and had to be silly to shoot.
and i thought it was impressive how it managed to tie back to the big alien and government mystery while still making me laugh so hard. how many past episodes can be analyzed through the lens of certain things being faked for exposure? and what REALLY happened to those airmen? we still don't know if mulder's convo with jack even happened! and we never will!
i came to appreciate the company of mr. chung immensely, even though i thought he was gonna be creepy after calling scully beautiful and touching her arm, but i suppose that he was just a genuinely sweet fellow. you can't blame me for being suspicious after some of the things she gets put through, but i'm sure that if i picked one of his books off the shelf, i, like scully, would be a fan.
overall, i am deeply pleased, and would love to give this a rewatch sometime when i am not taking notes so i could appreciate the pacing in more detail. man, season 3 has really been killing it, huh? and i'm nearing the end!!
#still not over scully sulking in the corner during the hypnosis session#or looking confused as hell while mulder read roky's story#LMAOOO it was so funny how she was just laying there while mulder read from it#love that she thought it was weird mulder was in her room but not really THAT weird all things considered#also love how she was excited to talk about two layers of skin on a new creature only for it to be a dude in a costume#a raise to whoever came up with this one. send the finest libations to the writer's room#now we just have to see if the next one will be dark as hell and give me whiplash#like the transition from humbug to calusari which i will NEVER get over#!!! i'm happy :)#juni's x files liveblog#the x files#txf

Just... Little ship I thought of: Robin x Sora. Nico!Sanji happening but Sora's alive and both women just fall in love.
Think about the StrawHats learning Sanji is Robin's son. And she is married to Sanji's bio mom. Sora joining the crew. Sora having the name Miss Midnight or Miss Sky or even Miss Queen-. Sora and Robin being a very in love couple but subtle about it to everyone else except Zeff and Sanji, yet being a romantic couple that sit together reading and driking tea.
It would be even funnier if it is the ZeffSora!Siblings AU. Because the crew would meet Sanji at the Baratie and then at Alabasta know about his moms.
I find this hilarious. One hundred percent I'm down. Zeff saves Sora and Sanji and drops them off in the Grand line because they'll be harder to track there. They make it to Alabasta and start working for Crocodile. Miss Queen and Mister Prince, the mother son duo where the son cooks and plays with the bananawanis and his mother helps Crocodile plan, gives advice. No one ever comments on who anyone is there. Too risky and the prize of safety far too valuable to give up what they have. When Ms. All Sunday starts joining in on the meetings Sora calls her cute with a light smirk, she knows who the woman is but won't say anything as Robin stares at her in fascination. They start spending a lot of time together in the meetings and eventually outside of the meetings. Sora eventually introduces Robin to Sanji, the boy Robin sees in the hallways but he hides and knows the bananawanis adore. Sanji looks at Robin with hard yet curious eyes and sees how his mom is behaving with her, doting on her but differently from how she dotes on him.
When the women start dating it's truly unremarkable to everyone because they saw it coming soon as they were introduced to each other. Robin keeps an eye on Sanji because of how softly and quickly he moves, truly becoming one with the shadows. He sneaks up one people without even meaning to when he's delivering food and such. No one mentions the fact that Robin isn't even a decade older than Sora's son. No one really cares though, they just let them be and when Sanji starts calling them both 'mom'. No one cares as long as the work is done. Sanji eventually goes back to Zeff to help him with his retirement and his restaurant that he started up after losing a leg. His moms will come visit when Crocodile has business in the East Blue. Crocodile keeps trying to convince him to come back, mostly because Sora worries, but also because he misses Sanji cooking for him but won't admit it. He is only asking for him to come back so Miss Queen will stop her nagging. Sora argues with him and Daz rolls his eyes and Robin giggles at them. Crocodile has respect for Redleg for putting up with all he has in and out of the Grand Line, and with Miss Queen being his little sister he does try to be respectful to him, just a little bit at least. Crocodile does have a reputation to uphold anyway.
A few years later Sanji joins the Strawhat Pirates and they're sailing and having fun, Sanji loves his job and his crew. Until they meet Vivi and Sanji can feel his path forking in a very uncomfortable way. He wants to help Vivi but that means going against his moms and he really wants to help but also not go against his moms. Like his whole being feels like he's being torn in half, but he listens to his captain. He shoves the Baroque Works part of himself down, deep into his being for the moment. He gets along well with Vivi, so it helps. On the denden with Crocodile in Little Garden he's told that Crocodile is telling his mothers and then promptly hangs up on Sanji. Sanji can feel the light evaporate from his eyes immediately at the thought. Oh well, that's for later him to deal with!
Later him hates past him because he was the only one to not be caught in Alabasta, avoiding his mothers, their boss. During the celebration he doesn't see his moms, either of them. He wonders when it will all come crashing down only for him to pull a gun out on one of them and the other slinks out from below deck. It's not his fault they appeared on the ship randomly! What the fuck! Sanji shrugs it off as his moms pretend not to know him and he pretends right back. It's easier, less to worry about if they don't think of the familial connection they have. Everyone notices the women are together and they don't care. It's nice to have them again, even if they're staying an arms length away from each other. That starts changing in Skypeia though, when Sanji takes the lightning for Nami and Usopp. Sora looks him over with worry as Robin giggles behind her hand, Luffy smiles wide and belly laughs. Sora sighs and chronicles everything in the log book. She chronicles all the findings and the adventures of the crew starting from when she and Robin joined. Her handwriting is the neatest of them all. Of course, when they have to say goodbye to Merry and Usopp leaves, and everything goes down with Cipher Pol and Robin giving herself up and Luffy making her admit she wants to live. Sora is so happy and relieved she's alive and the family is together. Then Sabaody happens.
And Sanji is one of the first to go.
Sora lets out a heart wrenching scream for their son before she too disappears and then it's just Robin and Luffy, and then Robin is gone too. Zeff is reading the news and sees his sister and her family are gone, considered dead. Especially after the Summit War. Zeff mourns in his own way, he works himself to the bone and then some. His baby sister, her wife, his nephew-they were all gone. They were done for, dead. He had already risked his life saving them and there was nothing to be done. He couldn't save them. Patty and Carne try to keep him steady but they're also mourning the kid. It's hard on all of them. Then the Strawhat Pirates aren't dead and Robin is so thankful her wife and son are alive and is absolutely relieved she didn't lose everything like she thought she had. She and Sora absolutely have a Notebook kiss when they're reunited and it's amazing for them. Go lesbians.
I don't think anyone really connects the dots except Luffy and I feel like Chopper knows but patient confidentiality and Luffy probably thinks everyone know that they are Sanji's moms. Everyone has suspicions because of how much Sora and Sanji look alike. Like during Punk Hazard when the alliance is going on and I feel like the women and Sanji slip into another language at some point. Luffy snaps to Law who is watching the family with confusion and Luffy is laughing because yeah, they're really great and good fighters! Don't worry, Tora-o! Law feels what little color he has in his face drain because of the possible complications that could arise from a family fighting together. And he's proven right on Zou when he finds out Sanji has been kidnapped and Sora looks like she's going to burn the world and Robin is also seething and trying to settle the blonde woman and it doesn't seem to be working. Especially after Luffy says she can't go with the rescue team. Law isn't exactly happy to be dealing with that at the moment on the submarine, however Zoro is the one who bites the bullet and asks Sora why she's so pissed.
"Because my shitty ex-husband who thinks he can get whatever he wants even though he said we're dead! To everyone! I'm surprised Zeff believed me when I asked him to come get us because his dead sister was calling him!" Sora exclaims.
"And the Vinsmokes are?" Usopp asks with a hitch of nervousness.
"The head family of the Germa Kingdom." Sora growls. "Run by a man who thinks he's god and treated my children like test subjects and not humans. Gods, I'm going to strangle the fucking bastard."
This of course sets off everyone from the North Blue about the comics and Sora is weirded out there's a comic where she shares the same name as the hero and it's about the shitty kingdom her husband runs and how much the "villains" sound like her kids. Robin rubs her back as Sora plans to strangle her captain lightly when he returns. On Wano they're working to the best of their abilities and trying to keep a low profile until the others come back. And they do, and Luffy causes an immediate ruckus. Also Zoro has a wanted poster for some reason and Sora can feel a headache creeping up the back of her skull but at least the crew is getting back together. When Sora and Robin see Sanji they are grabbing him and hugging him much to the rescue teams, sans Luffy, confusion.
Sanji does his best to calm the women down. Sora is just losing it as she's grabbing Sanji and holding him and Robin is chastising Sanji for worrying them and Sanji is apologizing as Nami is demanding answers from them now and Zoro chimes in that apparently the cook is their kid. The ensuing conversations last forever and a day it feels like to Sanji, especially with the fact that Judge and his brother's didn't care that Sora was alive and what could have happened with that. The next morning everyone finds the cook passed out with his moms and Robin is holding the blonds protectively. Nami absolutely takes a picture for future ventures.

A quiet place to work - pt. 2
Many thanks to ilovemark1951 for this wonderful idea!
As you sat at your desk, you began your follow-up and were surprised to notice the coffee cup that suddenly came into your field of vision.
When you looked up from your computer, you saw Gibbs standing in front of you, grinning and handing you the cup.
You smiled gratefully at him “thank you.”
“You know, I once heard someone say that working without coffee is bordering on physical assault and that I don't want to be responsible for,” he laughed briefly, winked at you and walked over to his own desk.
Stunned in silence you watched him walk away, but you were grinning madly at the same time. “What an enigmatic and interesting man. I would like to learn more about him, too” you thought and then you concentrated on your work again.
Because there was no case to solve the team was stuck with paperwork, so they were all in the office, including the team leader.
So as the afternoon progressed, you kept looking over at him from time to time, thinking you had caught him looking over at you sometimes, too.
The evening came faster than expected and as the rest of the colleagues were gone, Gibbs stood in front of your desk “let's call it a day and go home.”
“Okay, let's go.”
You two went to his truck and he drove to his house.
“Are you hungry?" he asked you.
“Yes.”
“Do you like Steaks?”
“Oh yeah” you replied enthusiastically.
He laughed “good, me too!”
Arriving at his home you both walked immediately into the kitchen and you asked if you could help, but he declined.
“You like beer or something else?” he wanted to know.
“Beer would be fine,” you answered.
So he opened two beers and began to cook dinner.
“My dad always said that a steak takes as long as it takes until the bottle of beer is empty” you remembered with a look into the distance and a smile.
Gibbs laughed, “your father is a wise man.”
You turned to him “he was sometimes. But he died a few years ago.”
“Want to tell me about him?”
“Oh, there's not much to tell. He was in the navy for many years and was interested in all that was on and in the water. Because of that, some of my first memories are about ships. And I'm still loving them.”
“Hm, maybe I can further expand your knowledge and experience with boats.” he smirked and winked at you.
“Yes! You have a boat in your basement!!! Really, that's so amazing. How do you get it out of there when it's finished?” you wanted to know excitedly, jumping up and down in his kitchen.
He laughed “just wait and see.”
“But in the meantime I can show you how to work on it, if you want.”
“Sure, I would love to help you.”
“Okay, but first…dinner's ready.”
Dinner was absolutely delicious and the both of you talked about everything that came to your minds, but mainly you talked about ships and boats of all kinds.
After doing the dishes he disappeared shortly to the 1st floor and came back with an old NIS Shirt of his.
“Pull this over your clothes. It's better, believe me.” he said, handing you the shirt and winking at you.
You did as he told you and then you went down to the boat.
You examined every detail of it and stroked gently over the wood under the watchful eye of Gibbs. “It doesn't have a name” you stated, lost in your thoughts.
He looked up from the workbench where he got the needed tools and answered softly “no, not yet. But maybe soon.”
You locked eyes with him, smiled shyly and then prompted “then tell me what I have to do.”
He shook his head, walked over to you and gave you the tool
“Take this into your hand and always go with the grain. Nice and even.”
He stood behind you, took your hand in his, guided it and continued to whisper in your ear “nice and even.”
You tried to concentrate on what you were doing, but feeling him so close to you and hearing his deep voice directly in your ear made it nearly impossible.
But you managed it and he let go of you to walk on the other side of the ship to work on it, too. The rest of the evening you both worked in silence, just enjoying each other's company. Both lost in their own thoughts, but of course not without constantly exchanging observing glances.
You could have continued working on that boat with him forever, but it was time to go. And so he brought you home, like a gentleman to the front of the door, of course.
You unlocked it and turned around to say goodbye to him and you and your heart came to an abrupt halt. There he was, standing mere inches from you so that your noses were almost brushing.
Standing so close to the other you locked eyes for a few seconds. Nobody said a word and you could feel the air around you crackle.
“Thank you for this wonderful evening” you breathed.
“Thank you, too,” he whispered back.
Neither one nor the other could break eye contact. Both of you tried to read the emotions of the other and what he respectively she was thinking.
But there was no thinking at all. You were so engrossed in the tiny world of you two, that your brains stopped working and all you did was feel. Feeling the other, the close proximity, the own raging heartbeat and hoping that you are not alone in this.
Slowly you leaned simultaneously into each other until you brushed your lips cautiously for the first time and it tasted like so much more.
His hand cupped your cheek and he pulled you towards him until you could feel his equally raging heartbeat. The brief contact of your lips turned into a sweet tender kiss and your hands closed around his neck and began to play with his short hair.
Very slowly the kisses became more intense and neither one of you wanted to stop kissing, but it was no use, you both urgently needed air.
So you reluctantly stopped kissing and took a step back, but never losing eye contact and smiling madly at each other. Returning to the rest of the world you both whispered “bye” before you entered your house and he drove home too, both with a warm and tender feeling in your hearts.

Campaign idea I've LONG had but would require a fair bit of setup: time loop adventure. The party is having dinner at the tavern, when a rumbling rocks the foundations of the earth. Everything explodes in a wave color, sound, and immense pressure, but it parts around them the crest of a wave to a ship's bow. That bow being a small imp-like creature, screeching with the effort to maintain whatever shield is keeping the wave at bay. As quickly as it began, it ends, the world outside the bubble going greyscale. "Noble heroes," the creature pants, slowly turning. "The world hangs a second from death, I'm afraid I have to break my oath and call upon you once...Who the fuck are you!?" It collapses to its knees as it sees its intended targets, one table over. Epic heroes with legendary kit. Despite trying to maintain a low profile the party might even recognize them, or at least the gear spilling out of their robes. Most seem to be shrinking into their armor, though the gnome's just turning green. The whole bar is doing the same, come to think of it. "HOW. HOW DID I MISS. I- ok, ok. I can work with this. That's fine. they used to be chumps too, we just had more time to work back then. Hi. Welcome to the end of the world. If you want to roll it back, we can talk." The paladin's all for it. The rest of the party is conflicted, but they eventually decide they've got nothing else to do. First thing though, who is this? "Got a lot of names, been around for a while. Maintain time, maybe you've seen my work? Yeah, not gonna have it undone by a punk with a wish. One that wished for more wish granting items, and again with with all of those, until eventually they had enough for thier whole tribe of hundreds. and the tribe had one wish, a wish with enough power to bind even the gods." "They wished for 'Goblin'. And with neither the world or the goblins themselves having any idea what that's supposed to mean, creation answered with 'Yes.' There's not a thing under the sun that's not becoming goblin. Or over the sun. The sun's not outta the question eith- look, it's everything, ok? I don't know the reach, I don't want to either, I just know we can't stop that blast." The party grumbles. how do they save things if the gods themselves are bound? "I can chuck you back in time. Only about a day, I had to snap most of myself off when the corruption started. We can do this for a while, but we have to do this. Find out where they are. Figure out how to get to them. and somehow stop them. Can't be that hard, right? they're just goblins, right?" One way to find out. Basically this would start out consequence free. The world is set up, and full of FAR stronger creatures...at first. If they die they lose thier gear, but NOT thier info, the day just resets. Milestone experience, the players will slowly level up as they discover things. Discover how to get what they need more efficiently, skip parts, etc. I said 'at first.' Once they've gotten far enough, gotten their bearings, etc...they notice something's slightly different. Someone's slightly greener and nobody notices. A butterfly is a little goblin with goblin-patterned wings. something slightly changes in thier loop. next loop the little time gremlin's got a green ear. maybe they notice the bubble's slightly smaller. You've learned how things work, now execute. Whether you progress toward a failstate by amount of deaths/loops, or just give the illusion by going off progress, the pressure ramps up. The dragon they have to convince? goblin dragon. The city? slowly becoming goblins. Wild magic starts effecting party members, as even the concepts of reality start becoming goblin, under a sun that's starting to tint green. The bright side is you could do a bunch of the prep right at the start, and have far less to do as things progress. That's also the downside however, and the reason I haven't done it yet.

Clan of Three - Chapter 7
Chapter Seven: Redemption
Plot: A Mandalorian, an infant with a history of the jedi, and a teenager with similar powers with an undiscovered lineage. An unlikely group to travel the galaxy together.
Word Count: 6.3K
Pairing: Father Figure!Din Djarin x Platonic!Teen!Reader
Warnings: fighting/violence, injuries, angst, Moff Gideon (he deserves his own warning), sadness like so much
------
“You may think you have some idea of what you are in possession of, but you do not.” He speaks up again and Mando yells back into the comm.
“Kuiil, are you back on the ship yet? They're onto us! Kuiil, come in!” Mando yells as nothing comes through on your end.
“In a few moments, they will be mine.” The man calls out.
“Kuiil! Do you copy? Kuiil!” Mando can’t ignore the fear in his chest, if they get the child and with how many enemies were out there they would get you as well.
“They mean more to me than you will ever know.”
You feel a tightness in your chest feeling the loss and feeling of failure…Kuiil.
“Kuiil! Are you there? Come in, Kuiil….Kuiil, come in. Do you copy? Kuiil? Kuiil!”
The cantina is littered with imperial bodies as a former magistrate, a shock trooper, and a Mandalorian all together to protect a child and a girl who have extraordinary powers.
“Is there another way out?” Cara asks peeking out the window at the large platoon of troopers and this imperial warlord.
“No, that's it,” Greef says looking around the whole cantina their only way out is the two doors leading outside.
“What about the sewers?” Mando says and you look over at him,
“Sewers?” You ask and he nods beginning to look around.
“The Mandalorians have a covert down in the sewers. If we can get down there, they can help us escape.” He explains searching for an access point to the sewers.
“Yeah, sewers are good,” Greef says happy for this new piece of news before looking out the window with Cara on the other side. “What the hell are they waiting for?” He asks and you peek over seeing them bring out a giant weapon in large cases.
“Hold up. They're setting up an E-Web.” Cara says fear clear in her voice, “It's over.”
“I found the sewer vent,” Mando calls out and you and Cara come over moving the seat that is blocking the gated vent.
“Let's get the hell out of here,” Cara says trying to pull the grate off the vent but with no luck.
“It's assembled! How long until that thing's cleared?” Greef yells back, “Blow it.”
Mando’s hands move to his belt finding no charges, “I'm out of charges.”
“Get out of the way!” Cara pushes him aside using the large weapon she brought to shoot down the vent, you cover your face from the bright light and the sounds could be heard from outside.
“Your astute panic suggests that you understand your situation. I would prefer to avoid any further violence, and encourage a moment of consideration,” The imperial warlord shouts out as you all pause, “Members of my escort have completed the assembly of an E-Web heavy repeating blaster. If you are unfamiliar with this weapon, I am sure that Republican Shock Trooper Carasynthia Dune of Alderaan will advise you that she has witnessed many of her ranks vaporize mid-descent facing the predecessor of this particular model.”
Your head snaps over looking at Cara as she hears personal details of her life called out, as the man continues to speak, “Or perhaps the decommissioned Mandalorian hunter, Din Djarin, has heard the songs of the Siege of Mandalore when gun outfitted with similar ordnance laid waste to fields of Mandalorian recruits in The Night of a Thousand Tears.” You look over at Mando who is frozen staring out and you felt an entire door of information open up…you knew his name. After weeks of being with him, something as simple as a name you never learned. He was the Mandalorian, the bounty hunter, or Mando…but you heard his name. Din Djarin.
“Y/n L/n I know you’re in there as well. A thief on Tatooine but you are far more important to me than anything in the galaxy. I know more about you than you know about yourself…you have a much more important role in this than you think you do. Information I know about you…your family…your bloodline can shift the roles. That can alter your dear Mandalorian’s Creed.” The man says and you can feel the stares from the three adults especially the burning one from Mando’s. You couldn’t be more confused with his words…you had no importance in the galaxy than the simple power you had. Your family was nothing..you were nothing.
“I advise disgraced Magistrate Greef Karga to search the wisdom of his years and urge you to lay down your arms and come outside. The structure you are trapped in will be razed in short order and your storied lives will come to an unceremonious end.” He says and you see Greef look away from you before shouting out.
“What do you propose?”
“Reasonable negotiation.” The warlord calls out and Greef scoffs,
“What assurance do you offer?”
The man's voice echoes into the cantina, “If you're asking if you can trust me, you cannot. Just as you betrayed our business arrangement, I would gladly break any promise and watch you die at my hand. I will act in my own self-interest, which at this time involves your cooperation and benefit. I will give you until nightfall, and then I will have the E-Web cannon open fire.” You all look at each other taking in his words before Greef speaks up.
“I say we hear him out.”
“The minute we open that door, we're dead,” Cara says and Greef snaps back,
“We're dead if we don't. At least out there, we've got a shot.” Greef says and Cara is fearful but also filled with anger.
“That's easy for you to say. I'm a Rebel Shock Trooper. They'll upload me to a Mind Flayer.” She says and Greef gives her a look.
“Those aren't real. That was just wartime propaganda.”
“I don't care to find out. I'm shooting my way out of here.” Cara says cocking back her gun before turning to Mando, “What about you, Mando?”
“I know who he is. It's Moff Gideon.” He says and the two adults look almost shocked while you were confused.
“Who?” You ask and Cara is almost in disbelief, “No. Moff Gideon was executed for war crimes.”
“It's him. He knew my name.” Mando says and Greef looks over at him trying to understand what that proves, “So? What does that prove?”
“I haven't heard that name spoken since I was a child,” Mando says
“On Mandalore?” Greef says and Mando shakes his head,
“I was not born on Mandalore.” “But you're a Mandalorian,” Greef asks and Cara explains,
“Mandalorian isn't a race.”
“It's a Creed.” Mando says, “I was a foundling. They raised me in the Fighting Corps. I was treated as one of their own. When I came of age, I was sworn to the Creed. The only record of my family name was in the registers of Mandalore. Moff Gideon was an ISB Officer during the purge. That's how I know it's him. That's how he knows who we all are.”
“He says he needs us, which means the child got away safely.” Greef says trying to shed some good fortune, “I was worried when the Ugnaught didn't respond, but if they'd captured the kid, we'd already be dead.”
“Mando..” You whisper looking at him and he recognizes the look on your face, the self-sacrifice is written all over your face.
“No. no, you’re not doing that kid.” He says shaking your head and you step towards him making him look at you.
“You guys are going to get yourselves killed protecting me. I won’t let your deaths rest on my conscience.” You start and Mando grabs your arms making you look at him.
“My job was to protect you, not let you do this self-sacrificing bullshit!” Mando shouts at you and you can feel the fear in both of you.
“He’s not going to stop coming after us! He knows too much about me…about all of us. I’m not going to let my life ruin yours and the rest of the Mandalorians.” You say looking straight at him and he wasn’t sure if he even had his helmet as you looked right into his eyes. “You have to let me go…” You say softly and he shakes his head the grip on your arms tightens.
“I won’t let you.” He says before grabbing his comm, “Come in, Kuiil. Kuiil?” Silence fills the air and the idea of your sacrifice grows more real to Din and he can feel the fear growing stronger. “Nothing. They might have jammed the link.”
“Kuiil has been terminated.” IG-11’s voice comes through the comm surprising you all,
“What did you do?” Mando says quickly and it almost sounds like the wind is coming from the other side of the comm. Were they on the ship heading far away from Nevarro?
“I am fulfilling my base function.” The droid responds.
“Which is?”
“To nurse and protect.” A low rumble fills the air before the sound of blaster fire enters the air.
“What was that?” Greef asks and you all peer out the window seeing the troopers turn from facing you to one of the pathways as the fighting grows closer. Appearing on a speeder bike two guns in his hands as he shoots down troopers and you see the child strapped to his chest.
“Cover me,” Cara says shooting her gun through the window and hitting some of the troopers down.
Greef rushes outside quickly firing at troopers and you move to go out when a hand latches on to your arm.
“Don’t do anything stupid,” Mando says holding onto your arm like it was a lifeline and you nod, pulling out your blaster.
“You don’t either.”
The two of you exit the cantina and are hurled into the fight. Dodging blaster fire overhead, shooting out troopers. Din stayed practically beside you as he fired out against some troopers quickly eliminating any that got near you. You provide cover fire to any coming at Mando’s blindspots. Arms wrap around your waist lifting you into the air and throwing you to the ground you kick your leg out hitting one of the death troopers and seeing two attack Mando. Rolling out of the way grabbing your blaster shooting them in the head as they collapse going to fire on the two attacking Mando but they are already shot down by Greef. Mando pulls you up to your feet as you shoot out at any troopers seeing IG-11 get hit in the leg still protecting the child but beginning to be overwhelmed. You see Mando go over to the E-web taking it off the stand firing it out at the large number of troopers attacking IG. They drop like flies as you fire at but they seemed to keep swarming you all. A shout comes from Mando and you look seeing him stumble forward and shot in the back of the head. Looking past him seeing Moff Gideon standing with his blaster pointing at Mando with a squad of troopers around him. Mando turns holding the e-web ready to fire and you see Gideon’s gaze move from the gun to the ammunition box before his blaster aims there.
“Mando!” You yell right as an explosion sends you flying back hitting the ground blacking out for a second and Mando is sent crashing into the ground with heavy force. A ringing fills your ears as your vision returns trying to push yourself up everything was bright and muted as the gunfire continues, looking forward to seeing Mando on the ground, you yell out though your voice doesn’t reach your ears. Scrambling towards him grabbing his shoulder trying to drag the armored man away from the gunfire. Everything was so quiet but loud at the same time as the blaster fire grows closer to you as Gideon’s troopers draw closer to you. With a yell, you throw your hand out and with a shockwave, the troopers are all sent flying back even Gideon is moved back. Hands grab you pulling you up and away from Mando and you see Cara run in grabbing him slinging him over her back bringing him inside, as Greef gives cover fire throwing you inside as well.
One door closes the other blown down as Gideon steps forward seeing the mass casualties on his end with only five people causing it, “Burn them out.” He growls.
“Stay with me, buddy. We're gonna get you out of here.” Cara's voice sounds muffled as you all barricade yourself by the sewer vent.
“This is our only path out. Can you clear it?” Greef says to IG-11 stepping forward to take the child when it points a blaster,
“If you go near this child, I will no choice but to kill you.” It says and Greef nods holding his hands up and stepping back.
“I understand. Can you do anything to move the grate?” He asks and IG nods its hand producing a small flame torch to carve its way through the metal.
You see Greef in front of you speaking to you but you shake your head not able to understand him, “Kid can you hear me?!” He says and you see him curse seeing the sight of blood coming from your ears. He holds your arms trying to speak slow enough for you to understand, “You are alright…kid just breathe.” You slightly read his lips seeing ‘breathe’ and you take in a gasp of air not realizing you were holding your breath. You look away from Greef seeing Cara trying to tend to Mando who is leaning against the chair on the floor, his shiny beskar armor was blacked with ash. While you weren’t caught in the explosion the shockwave had sent you flying back.
“Stay with me,” Cara says and Din slowly shakes his head his entire body screaming in pain but mainly his head.
“I'm not gonna make it. Go.” He says and Cara shakes her head reaching behind his head,
“Shut up. You just got your bell rung. You'll be fine.” Her blood runs cold seeing her hand come back red feeling the dampness of the cloth around his neck drenched with his blood.
“Leave me,” Din says and Cara is moving to his helmet trying to fix the injury on the back of his head,
“I'm gonna need to take this thing off.” He grabs her hands pulling them down,
“No. You leave me. You make sure the children are safe.” He says grabbing a necklace from under his clothes ripping it off his neck pressing it into her hands, “Here. When you get to the Mandalorian covert, you show them that. You tell them it's from Din Djarin. You tell them the foundlings were in my protection, and they'll help you.” She couldn’t hide the anger from her sadness come through,
“We can make it.” She says but Din had already given up. You look over as a red-striped trooper enters with a large flamethrower in their hand as the furniture towards the entrance is set ablaze. The ringing in your ears doesn’t cease as IG continues to burn a hole through the sewer vent Greef is standing up yelling at you all but everything was still muffled.
“Come on! Let's go!” You look over at Mando who wasn’t moving.
“Mando…we have to go,” You say unaware of your volume as you come to his side trying to pull him up but he isn’t budging. “Come on Mando, get up.” You pull him turning to Cara who is looking down at the gut-wrenching display. “Cara help me.” You say and you see her turn to Mando speaking to him but you still couldn’t hear them.
“I'm not gonna make it and you know it.” Din says looking at Cara who wanted to refuse this outcome, “You protect the children. I can hold them back long enough for you to escape. Let me have a warrior's death.”
“I won't leave you.” Cara grits out and they can feel the flames growing closer to them.
“This is the Way.”
You all look over when you feel the heat as the incinerator troop stands within the flames pointing the weapon at you sending a mass of flames. You hadn’t expected a wall to form in front of you all and you look down seeing the child holding his hand out. Pushing his hand out the flames shoot back at the trooper making the flamethrower explode killing him. You see the child slump from the exertion as IG-11 kicks the grate open.
“We have to move! Now!” Greef says trying to get you all to leave but you still are looking at Mando.
“Mando, get up we have to go.” You try pulling his arm before you move around to his shoulders to pull him up when your hands slip against something. Pulling back your heart grows cold seeing the red stain on your hands. You look at him and he sees the tears welling in your eyes. His head moves slightly while speaking but you shake your head.
“I...I can’t hear you.” You say your voice cracking looking at the defeated warrior, “Let me heal you..I-I can heal you.” Your voice shakes as you try reaching over to heal him the same way the child had but he pushes you back. He continues to speak to you as the flames roar behind you but your head shakes back and forth.
“I can’t hear you! Please just get up…get up Mando. We have to go.” Tears clean the dirt off your face and he softly reaches up wiping them off your face. “Get up Mando! You can’t leave me like this..you can’t.” Your head whips over to Cara who is looking down her heart breaking with each moment.
“Cara help me dammit!” You shout out seeing Cara look away and you look over at Greef who looks crushed but is still yelling at you guys. A hand grabs your face making you look back and you see Mando looking back at you and you can feel his emotions dripping through the beskar and leather covering his skin.
“Go.” He whispers knowing you weren’t going to hear him, “Leave Y/n you have to go.” You shake your head refusing whatever he had to say before he looks at Cara. She curses passing the child off to Greef and he quickly enters the tunnel.
“Escape and protect the children,” Din says to Cara as you continue begging him to get up. She steps forward looking at IG,
“I will stay with the Mandalorian.” The droid says and Cara glares at him,
“Promise me you'll bring him.” “You have my word.”
Cara looks away before grabbing your arm and pulling you up. “No what are you doing?! Cara let go of me. Mando get up! We have to go!” She begins pulling you towards the sewer vent, struggling slightly pulling you with one hand and the other holding her blaster. “Mando stop her! Please don’t leave me! Din! Get up, please! I don’t wanna go! Cara let go of me! Din! Din Please!” Your voice screams out your hand trying to reach out to him as his hand drifts off you falling to his side his heart crumbles watching you fight to stay with him as you’re pulled into the tunnels, him hearing your cries and shouts for him fade.
Tears blur your vision as you let Cara drag you through the tunnels reaching Greef and the child. She pulls out a bacta spray IG had given her, grabbing your face though not as tender as Mando was. She sprays the liquid into both of your ears wiping the blood off your ears your hands still stained with his blood as they shake. You had scuffs and slight cuts from the explosion but losing your hearing had been the main issue. You shove her away wanting to turn back and go back for him but this entire place was a maze and you hadn’t paid attention to where you went.
“You left him to die.” You hiss glaring at the two adults. Your eyes are bloodshot, your voice hoarse from your screams and cries but your hearing had returned slightly the bacta spray already working.
“We had no choice, we have to keep moving,” Cara says giving you a pitying look before looking forward, “Do you know which way to go?” Your heart broke with each step leading you deeper into the tunnels everything looking the same.
“No. I don't know these tunnels. I've only entered from the bazaar. Well, if we get the smell of sulfur and we follow it, it'll lead us up to the plains where the river flows.” Greefs explains holding the child in the pack,
“And the Imps will catch us before we make it to the ship.” Cara says as you turn down another hall the tunnels never-ending, “We need the Mandalorians to escort us to safety.” The sound of footsteps makes you all freeze each of your holding your blasters out ready to attack any troopers that followed after you. The sound of multiple footsteps grows closer and the three of you prepare to fight when the people that arrive make you drop your blaster rushing forward. Your body collides into Mando’s your arms wrapping around his waist tightly and his free hand rest on the back of your head keeping you close to him as he whispers words that you can’t understand. The beskar cold on your skin as tears falls down your face. You pull back looking up at him grateful to see his metal helmet, his rough gloves wipe away the tears on your face.
“I thought you were gone.” You cry and he shakes his head most of his weight on the droid and Cara comes over taking his other side.
“We have to keep moving.” Greef says having returned the child to IG-11.” You’re glued to Mando’s side Cara holding up most of his weight while you have a tight grip on his hand as you turn down another hall seeing more ways to go.
“Ugh, this place is a maze,” Greef says and Mando groans shrugging Cara off him, his footing is slightly stable but he stands tall pushing forward.
“Stop. I can stand.” “The bacta infusion is working,” IG-11 says and Mando steps forward you expect him to pull away from you but he squeezes your hand in reassurance as you continue walking you and Mando leading the way.
“I'll try to find tracks. We're close. Turn here.” You turn down a tunnel you all freeze seeing a pile resting in the middle of the hall. The two of you step forward and you could feel his grip on your hand tightens seeing what the pile was. Mandalorian helmets and armor were discarded and left behind. Had there been an attack? He kneels grabs a helmet looking at the dented protection. The symbol of his people…of his Creed.
“We should go..” Cara says seeing the tension coming off the Mandalorian witnessing this.
“You go. Take the ship. I can't leave it this way.” Mando shakes his head dropping the helmet to the pile before he whips around to Greef stalking towards him, “Did you know about this? Is this the work of your bounty hunters?”
“No. When you left the system and took the prize, the fighting ended and the hunters just melted away. You know how it is. They're mercenaries. They're not zealots.” Greef defends him with a shake of his head but Mando was fueled with rage for this massacre of his creed.
“Did you do this? Did you?” He grabs Greef by his shirt, “No!”
“It was not his fault,” A female’s voice calls out, and coming from a room another Mandalorian is standing there with a large cart beside her. “We revealed ourselves. We knew what could happen if we left the covert. The Imperials arrived shortly thereafter.” She points at the large pile of armor moving to put more in the cart, “This is what resulted.”
“Did any survive?” Mando asks and the woman shrugs walking into a room which you all follow, the heat from the large forge as she lifts the cart pouring them in as they quickly melt down,
“I hope so. Some may have escaped off-world.” She explains.
“Come with us.” Mando asks and she refused, “I will not abandon this place until I have salvaged what remains.” She continues to put more armor into the smelter as the beskar becomes liquid.
“Show me the ones whose safety deemed such destruction.” She says and you see Mando look at you as he grabs the child both of you stepping forward. You can feel her gaze piercing as she looks over the child, “These are the ones that you hunted, then saved?”
“Yes. The one that saved me.” Mando nods and the memory of first witnessing the child and its gift similar to yours with the mudhorn
“From the mudhorn?” The armorer says and Mando nods, “It looks helpless.”
“It's injured, but it is not helpless. Its species can move objects with its mind.” He explains. Was this the same with you, he never knew of humans on Tatooine that could do the same things you could do?
“I know of such things,” The armorer says looking over the child who looks up at her with wide eyes, “The songs of eons past tell of battles between Mandalore The Great, and an order of sorcerers called Jedi that fought with such powers.”
The Jedi…that was something you were familiar with, stories of them told to you through passing. Is that what you were meant to label yourself as?
“It is an enemy?” Mando asks looking at both you and the child.
“No. Its kind were enemies, but this individual is not.” She says before examining you and you could feel her gaze through the helmet covering her face, “And this one?”
“The same as the child...I’ve seen things the both of them can do.” Mando says and she steps forward leaning closer and you try not to lean away from her. Her presence felt heavy and could send fear into any person.
“Where are you from?” She asks looking closely at you.
“Tatooine.” “No.” You frown at her comment, but you were from Tatooine born and raised it was the only thing you knew. Her hand grabs your face tilting it around as you glance at Mando in confusion.
“Tatooine may be where you were born but your blood, that is not. Features old but familiar…qualities of those from Mandalore.” She says and the room grows deadly silent with her observation. You pull away giving her a look.
“I’m…I’m not. I’m not from Mandalore I’m from Tatooine.” You say trying to prove to them but also yourself. “My parents are from Tatooine…we all were from Tatooine.” You say but thinking deeply did you ever know your family? You had no grandparents and you never reached that age to ask deeply where your family was from. It was only the three of you on that desert planet. You were…you couldn’t be.
Information I know about you…your family…your bloodline can shift the roles. That can alter your dear Mandalorian’s Creed.
Gideon’s words ring in your head…was this what he meant. “What do I do with them,” Mando asks and the armorer moves to the forge,
“They are foundlings. By Creed, they are in your care.” She says moving around the forge and you watch the liquid beskar move through.
“You wish me to train them?”
“They are too weak. They would die. You have no choice. You must reunite them with their own kind.” The armorer says all this information is too much for both you and Mando,
“Where?”
“This, you must determine.” The armorer responds,
“You expect me to search the galaxy for the home of this creature and deliver it to a race of enemy sorcerers?” He incredulously asks and the Armorer repeats words you’ve heard many times.
“This is the Way.”
“Hey. These tunnels will be lousy with Imps in a matter of minutes. We should at least discuss an escape plan.” Cara says looking out into the hall.
“If you follow the descending tunnel, it will lead you to the underground river. It flows downstream toward the lava flats.” She points out the door with a large hammer of hers.
“I think we should go,” Greef says and you all prepare to leave but you see Mando not moving,
“I'm staying. I need to help her and I need to heal.” “Mando…”
“You must go,” The Armorer says pointing to the two of you, “Foundlings are in your care. By Creed, until it is of age or reunited with its own kind, you are as its father. This is the Way.” She says and she moves around her forge as you look at Mando…he was meant to be your father. Din was looking at you with the same look, he was a father now, especially a father or two. “You have earned your Signet. You are a clan of three.” She says holding a signet and fusing it to his right pauldron.
“Thank you.” Mando nods looking at the visible achievement, “I will wear this with honor.”
“We should go.” You say grabbing Mando’s hand and making him look at you and the child in IG’s arms.
“IG, please guard the outer hallway. A scouting party draws near.” The armorer says and IG nods removing the child from its arms and passing it off to Cara who fumbles to hold the child correctly. “Hang on. I don't do the baby thing.”
“I have one more gift for your journey. Have you trained in the Rising Phoenix?” She says moving behind the forge grabbing something and Mando nods,
“When I was a boy. Yes.”
“Then this will make you complete.” She says holding a completely beskar jetpack you look at it in awe and Mando thanks her, “When you have healed, you will begin your drills. Until you know it, it will not listen to your commands.” She finishes
“I understand.” The sound of gunfire fills the hall and you all turn weapons ready but when one set of footsteps appears turns out to be IG-11.
“You are protected.”
“More will come. You must go.” She says and Mando looks over at her,
“Come with us.”
His mentor shakes her head, “My place is here. Restock your munitions,” She points over to a table and Mando moves to grab more charges and anything else he might need as she passes the jetpack to IG, “IG, carry this for Din Djarin until he is well enough to wear it. Now, go. Down to the river and across the plains. Be safe on your journey.” Your hand grabs Mando’s leading him out the door as he looks back one last time. A place he had called home, every memory of it.
“Thank you.”
Following her directions you find yourself in front of a stream of lava, it slowly flows down a river. “This is the lava river,” Greef says with a boat in front of you.
“The ferry droid is fried.” You say pointing at the droid covered in hardened magma.
“Yeah, but if we push the boat out, we can get it to float downstream,” Greef says and he and Mando push against it trying to get it to budge. This must have not been used in years, the stone hardened together. “Push!”
“Come on! What're you doing?” Mando gives Greef a look as they fail at moving it.
“Let's try this. Push!” Greef says the two push again and Cara steps forward.
“Hold him,” She passes the child off to IG grabbing her blaster, “You guys mind getting out of the way?” After a lot of blaster fire the rock crumbles and with a kick the boat is pushed into the river.
“Oh! Good job.” Greef says as you all begin to climb on.
“Watch your feet. It's molten lava.” IG says the joke not landing well. “No kidding.”
Suddenly behind you what was supposed to be a fried droid rises the hardened rock falling off it as it speaks to you all “I don't suppose anybody here speaks droid?” You say looking at them,
“I believe he is asking where we would like to go,” IG says translating for you all.
“Downriver. To the lava flat.” Greef says and the droid brings up a large staff beginning to steer you down the molten river. Looking over at the bay noticing small creatures run along the rock formations as you continue moving downstream. Further, ahead you see what looks like the exit daylight shining through.
“That's it. We're free!” Greef says and you feel relief fill your body. You see Mando staring further out before shaking his head, “No. No, we're not. Stormtroopers. They're flanking the mouth of the tunnel. It looks like an entire platoon. They must know we're coming.” Mando explains having used his helmet scanner.
“Stop the boat.” Cara turns to the droid but it ignores her, “Hey, Droid, I said stop the boat. Hey! I'm talking to you. I said stop!” She whips out her blaster shooting it in the head it collapses but the boat continues to move.
“We're still moving,” Greef says and you all look forward to the slowly approaching entrance.
“Looks like we fight.” You say pulling out your blaster
“There are too many.” Mando shakes his head and you give him a look,
“Then what do you suggest? 'Cause I can't surrender.” Cara says
“They will not be satisfied with anything less than the children.” IG says looking at you and the child resting in its arms, “This is unacceptable. I will eliminate the enemy and you will escape.”
“You don't have that kind of firepower, pal. You wouldn't even get to daylight.” Mando says and IG just looks at him.
“That is not my objective.”
“We're getting close. Saddle up.” Greef yells out as you draw closer.
“I still have the security protocols from my manufacturer. If my designs are compromised, I must self-destruct.” IG explains and Mando is confused.
“What're you talking about?”
“I am not permitted to be captured. I must be destroyed.” IG says as the mouth is only getting closer.
“Mando…” You yell out to him as he keeps arguing with IG.
“I can no longer carry this for you. Nor can I watch over the children.” IG places the child down as well as puts down the jetpack that was gifted to Mando.
“Wait. You can't self-destruct. Your base command is to watch the kids. That supersedes your manufacturer's protocol, right?” Mando says thinking of the change in protocol.
IG nods knowing its programming explicitly, “Right? This is correct.”
“Good. Now, grab a blaster and help us shoot our way out.” Mando says but IG continues to disagree.
“Victory through combat is impossible. We will be captured. The children will be lost. Sadly, there is no scenario where the children are saved, in which I survive.” IG says and Mando shakes his head trying to come up with a new idea.
“Listen, you're not going anywhere. We need you. Let's just come up with a…”
“Please tell me the children will be safe in your care. If you do so, I can default to my secondary command.” IG cuts him off and you can hear the lingering sadness in his voice.
“But you'll be destroyed.” “And you will live, and I will have served my purpose.”
“No. We need you.” Mando says and IG looks over him almost examining,
“There is nothing to be sad about. I have never been alive.”
Mando looks away rejecting the claim. “I'm not sad.
“Yes, you are. I'm a nurse droid. I've analyzed your voice.” IG says before stepping towards the edge and climbing over its legs sink into the lava as it begins to move forward ahead of you.
“IG? What're you doing?”
You see the droid reach the mouth of the river seeing troopers surrounding it as it begins to beep, “Manufacturer's protocol dictates I cannot be captured. I must be destroyed.” A bright explosion fills the mouth of the river and you shield your eyes as IG destroys himself to neutralize the platoon. The boat slowly exits the river your weapons ready for any leftover Imps but everyone was dead taken down by IG. The loud screech of a TIE fighter appears over the ridge.
“Moff Gideon!” Cara yells out as it draws closer to you all of you shooting out at it your blasters missing their speed. It fires hitting part of the ground one round of bolts heads straight for the boat when they freeze in mid-air the energy pulsing in the air. The three adults look over at the child expecting it to be using his powers when Din sees you holding your hand out it shakes slightly holding back the full energy.
“Kid!” He goes to move to you.
“Don’t!” You yell making him stop in place, you grit your teeth as the bolt moves slightly closer and you focus harder on keeping it back, “Don’t touch me. You gotta get out of here…I don’t know how long I can hold this back.”
“I’m not leaving you, kid,” Mando says and your gaze is hardened on the bolt.
“Our blasters are useless against him. He’s going to come back,” Cara says and if you were struggling on holding this one back how would you for another attack?
“Let's make the baby do the magic hand thing. Come on, baby! Do the magic hand thing.” Greef says and the child does nothing but coos looking back. “I'm out of ideas.” Din looks at you struggling to keep this attack from hitting them and the sound of the Tie fighter returning.
“I'm not,” Din says stepping forward and grabbing the jetpack slinging it onto his back pressing a button on his wrist the jetpack igniting.
“Here he comes!” Cara yells out firing her gun at Gideon. You glance over seeing him heading straight at you putting two hands out holding back this energy. You weren’t going to be able to stop this attack.
“Just get out of here!” You yell sweat beading on your forehead from the energy running through your body the adrenaline making your blood pump faster.
“Stay focus kid!” Din yells out shooting straight into the air before the TIE fighter flies past him, latching his grappling cable to it he’s pulled further into the air. Using a boost of the jetpack he lands on the roof of the cockpit looking down and seeing Moff Gideon looking up at him. Firing trying to break through the glass he jerks the ship sending Din rolling off and he grabs one of the wings. The wind and speed almost throw him off as he grabs a detonator activating it but it flies out of his hand as Gideon spins around to shake him off. Clutching onto the ship he grabs at his belt grabs two detonators and slaps to the left joint the rapid beeping going off as he lets go.
“You guys get out of here!” You yell at Cara and Greef as they grab the child getting away from the boat and you feel your focus slipping as the bolt grows closer.
“Kid I need you to trust me and let go.” You hear Mando’s voice comes through your comm and you look down for a second shrieking slightly as the bolt grows closer to you, feeling its heat and energy just feet away. You don’t get to think as you feel hands wrap around your back and legs as you’re scooped into the air your concentration breaking as the bolt slams into the boat exploding it. Looking up seeing Mando hold you as both of you land on the ground in front of Greef and Cara. He puts you down your arms shaking slightly your heart racing. You felt such a large rush of that feeling that you felt like you were on something.
“That was impressive, Mando. Very impressive. It looks like your Guild rates have just gone up. Same with you Y/n.” Greef says.
“Any more stormtroopers?” Mando asks and Greef shakes his head,
“I think we cleaned up the town. I'm thinking of staying around just to be sure.”
“You're staying here?” You ask the feeling waning off the tingling sensation in your body fading.
“Well, why not? Nevarro is a very fine planet. And now that the scum and villainy have been washed away, it's very respectable again.” Greef explains, while you had only known it for the empire’s control you could only hope he did well with it.
“As a bounty hunter hive?” Mando gives him and look and Greef grins,
“Some of my favorite people are bounty hunters. And perhaps, this specimen of a soldier might consider joining our ranks.” He looks over at Cara who doesn’t seem that opposed.
“Yeah. I've got some clerical concerns regarding my chain code.”
“And if you would agree to become my enforcer, clerical concerns would be the least of your worries. But you, my friend, will be welcome back into the Guild with open arms. So, go off, enjoy yourself. And when you're ready to return, you will have the pick of all quarries.” Greef suggests and Cara nods accepting his proposal and Greef turns to Mando.
“I'm afraid I have more pressing matters at hand.” He declines his offer referencing the two of you as Cara hands you the child.
“Take care of this little one.” Cara says stroking the child’s ear as it lets out a giggle, she looks over at you clapping your shoulder, “Stay safe kid.” You nod adjusting your hold on the child.
“Or maybe, they'll take care of you.” Greef teases as Mando shakes hands with Cara and Greef. He comes over to you and you nod ready to go, he scoops you and the child into his arms activating his jetpack and heading off leaving the two behind.
Mando kneels resting the goggles that belong to Kuiil on the small grave made as the three of you look on before you head to the Crest getting ready to leave Nevarro. Mando situates the child in its pram as you strap yourself into your seat. Fixing his small cloak he feels something with the child pulling out the small mythosaur necklace. ”What do you got there? I didn't think I'd see this again. Why don't you hang onto that?” He tucks the necklace back with the child while starting up the ship.
“Din..” You call out to him and he turns surprised hidden under his mask. It felt unusual hearing his actual name coming from some. That name hadn’t been spoken in years but coming from you he only felt comfort and warmth. He was a clan leader now, these two his children, and he as their father.
“Yeah, kid..” He asks and you look at him the stress and relief clean from your face you looked truly calm.
“Thank you…for everything.” You say looking at him and Mando…Din looks back at you before nodding.
“Thank you too.” He says before facing forward as you leave Nevarro’s atmosphere beginning your new adventure. A Mandalorian, an infant with a history of the Jedi, and another teenager with similar powers but an undiscovered lineage. To find the Jedi and find the truth of her bloodline. It was just the first step of everything the Mandalorian, Din Djarin was to learn.
Jawas with their sandcrawler salvage parts to trade from a wrecked TIE fighter, the parts going to be valuable and expensive. A laser pierces through the metal frightening the creatures as they scramble away a hole is cut through appearing a man, with dark imperial clothes flows in the wind. In his hands a blade that glows a deep black almost sucking any light near it to darkness, power, and authority exuding off the weapon. He looks out into the plains his victory in the battle lost but this was only the beginning of a war.

HEYYYYY
Guess who got permission from @colemorrison to write a continuation of a request I did
ME!
And that's what I'm gonna do. Get ready for the silly fellas cause it's coming
I love him so much guys
I'm mentally unwell
When Junkrat and Roadhog left you, you were practically dead. Hell, you thought you were dead.
Especially when a certain angel came to save you.
Overwatch wasn't even supposed to be there, but Cassidy heard rumors of two certain people being there and he wanted to try his hand at stopping them. Much to Mercy's dismay. She wanted to have her time off and not have any extra side projects. But she couldn't let Cole, Tracer, and D.va go without a healer.
Damn them and their need to be heros.
Which is what leads to now. The gaurds that were previously beating the shit out of you were long gone, being questioned by Cassidy. They pointed him over to you, bleeding on the ground with your life practically oozing away from you. He rushed to get Angela the moment he saw the blood.
"Don't bother! They're practically dead anyway. And besides, the world'll be better without 'em. Filthy criminal," one of the guards called out.
That didn't stop Cole, though. He ran to get Angela, and she ran with him over to you.
When the angel came into your view, you were sure that you were dead. "Huh. Didn't think I'd get into Heaven," you said. Your voice was hoarse and damaged, which shocked you. "Oh. Guess I don't get magically fixed when I die."
"Well, you ain't dead yet, kid," Cole said.
"Roll them over, Cole. I need to see the damage," Mercy commanded.
You couldn't help but laugh slightly, which had pain wracking through your body.
While the doctor, who's name you learned was Mercy through the shouting of a British woman, fixed you up, all you could think of was Junkrat.
Jamison.
He asked you to call him Jamison.
You couldn't help but wonder if he got out. He had to have. Or else your distraction would have been for nothing.
"-with me?"
"What?"
"I asked if you were with me, kid. Look like we lost you for a sec," the cowboy said.
"Oh. No, I'm alive. Just thinking," you responded vaguely.
Mercy shook her head and continued healing you. "Well, try not to look dead while doing so."
The rest of the time spent healing you was in silence. Well, silence from the three of you. D.va and Tracer were busy lecturing the guards for beating you within an inch of your life and then insisting that you didn't deserve medical attention.
For such small women, they were horribly scary.
When Mercy was done, Hana insisted on taking you back to Gibraltar with them. "We can't just leave them here, Angela. Not when these guards might just try and kill them again. We have room on the ship, we might as well take them back. It'll give you time to check on them, too!"
The older woman sighed and looked to Cassidy. "Do we have room on the hovercraft?'
"We always have room, Angela."
Mercy sighed and looked back to Hana. "Fine. But you're going to be the one to change their bandages on the flight back."
The streamer jumped up and down with joy and helped you onto the hovercraft. You didn't understand what made her so excited. Maybe she was just on that post rescue high and would realize that dragging you along wasn't the best idea.
The hovercraft ride was boring. The cowboy slept, Mercy did paperwork, and Hana just played games the whole ride. Until you needed your bandages changed. Then she changed them for you and went right back to her games.
Gibraltar was pretty empty for how big it was. But there was still plenty of people there to talk to you. They were all waiting at the landing pad, greeting Cassidy as he got off. Before too many people could ask him things, Cole spoke up to get everyone's attention. "Listen up, y'all. We got a new person coming through with us. They aren't officially a member yet, so please don't question them about stuff like that. Just give 'em space since they'll be recovering from some pretty nasty injuries."
Everyone nodded and murmured in agreement. When you came out of the hovercraft, partially leaning on Mercy for support, a murmur rippled through the crowd.
Still, they let you go through to the medical bay without issue. You got plently of weird looks, though. Mercy set you up in a private room, connecting fluids to you and changing your bandages one more time before leaving you for the rest of the day.
Your time in that bed was spent thinking of Jamison. Had he gotten back to the safehouse okay? Was he thinking of you? Had the cops caught him and Roadhog?
The last thought made you near hysterical. You didn't want to think about that.
Sometimes Mercy came and checked on you. She would take you to the bathroom and leave you meals to eat. She even let you take a walk around the base.
Lots of people looked at you while you took that walk. It was well known who you were, and why you were there, at that point. D.va and Tracer smiled at you and waved.
You didn't wave back.
All you could think was if Jamison and Roadhog were breathing this same air. If they had the opportunity to do that of their own free will.
The endless amounts of tears that you shed after that thought is what made Mercy take you back to your room.
Even after your injuries healed, you didn't leave your room in the medical bay. You couldn't find the will to.
"Y/N, you need to go and socialize with everyone else," Mercy said from the door of your room.
"No."
"Yes. It isn't healthy for you to stay in here all the time."
"And it's healthy for everyone to look at me weird and question me?"
"They won't do that!"
"Yes they will. That's what they did last time I left."
"They were concerned because you suddenly burst out crying. We still need to talk about that, by the way."
You just turned your back to the door and started ignoring her.
Angela sighed and sat down on the chair next to your bed. "Y/N, I understand that you don't want to. I don't know what's making you act like this, what you went through before we found you, but you need to talk to us. We just want to help."
The two of you stayed silent for a while before you spoke up. "Please leave."
Angela sighed and got up, walking over to the door. Before she could leave, though, you called out to her. "I'll be out for dinner. Could I sit with you and Cole?"
A smile graced her lips and she nodded before leaving and closing the door behind her.
Angela was starting to worry when you didn't immediately show for dinner. Everyone was eating in the cafeteria, having already gotten their food. You were late.
"Calm down, Angie. They'll come when they're ready. Might not be today and that'd be fine," Tracer said as she ate her soup. Mercy sighed as Cassidy agreed.
But then you walked through the door, your hospital gown hanging loosely over your clothes. Everyone stared at you as you sheepishly walked up to the table and sat down next to Cassidy.
The rest of dinner went fine. You ate with other people for the first time in just under a year and things were going smoothly. Until you thought about Jamison.
Was he able to eat like this? Was he even still alive?
Tears started to well in your eyes and you could feel the sob lodging itself in your throat. It was about to escape before Cassidy put a hand on your shoulder and quietly said, "Come take a walk with me."
You obliged and stood up, Cassidy's arm wrapped around your shoulder as he guided you out of the room. Everyone's eyes on you made you want to shrivel up and die like you should have back in that heist.
You hadn't even realized that Cole had led you outside until you felt the breeze against your face. "What's going on, kid?"
"I-" you cut yourself off quickly. Did you really want to talk about it? To tell him about something that could risk Junkrat and Roadhog?
"You can tell me anythin' you need, I promise. Everything will stay between us."
With that, you told him everything. Everything from how you met Junkrat and Roadhog to how you risked your life to save them.
When you were done, Cole pulled you into a long hug. No words were spoken as you walked back to the cafeteria. You ate peacefully, not having the weight of everything that happened finally off your chest.
It took another couple of months for anything else to happen. You slowly started to work your way into regular life, eating in the cafeteria and watch practices and trainings.
Everything was fine. You even started sitting with Hanzo and Genji instead of Mercy, Cole, and Tracer. Until two certain someones came into the base.
Junkrat and Roadhog had been recruited. Somehow.
You didn't even realize it was them. You just thought it was two other suckers who didn't have anywhere else to go. You'd be damned if they were going to be taking your room, though.
Tracer was giving them a tour when he came up to your room. You were the only one who hadn't met them, opting to stay in your room, so Lena brought them to you.
Lena knocked on your door, and you reluctantly got out of bed to answer. When you opened the door, you were greeted by the sight of someone you never thought you'd see again.
"Jamison?"
"Y/N?"
You stared for a second, not knowing what to do. Before you could act, though, the bomber jumped onto you and started babbling apologies.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I wanted to go back for you, I really did. But I didn't and I'm sorry and oh my god I can't believe your alive. I was so scared that they had killed you and when the overwatch agents got there I was so convinced that you were an undercover agent and they had come to collect your body. I'm sorry, Y/N. I'm so sorry." Jamison babbled and babbled, not giving you the chance to say anything.
"Does he always do this?" Tracer asked.
Rodhog sighed and nodded before picking Junkrat up off of you. It gave you the chance to get back up and look at Junkrat. "It's okay, Jamie. I gave myself up for a reason. I love you and was willin to die to let you go. Now, why don't you continue your tour with the big guy and we'll talk later?" You pressed a small kiss to his cheek, getting soot on your lips in the process, before shooing him off.
"That's the most I've ever heard them talk," Tracer admitted as they walked back to the main room.
