Virgin!Gojo who thought you only wanted to make out when you came to snuggle on his lap, but now he's muffling hitched groans into your shoulder, thighs spreading unconsciously as you grind onto his steadily hardening dick.
"Toru it feels so good," you whine.
Your fists twist into his sweater, and his thighs twitch at how eager you are. His last slip of restraint is when he finally looks down to find a wet patch on the front of your panties and how you're starting to form a dark gray spot on his sweats.
"Want you to touch me." Your voice is sweet and indulgent when you grab his large palm and slide it down your front to dip between your legs. "Please."
Virgin!Gojo who's throat bobs when he swallows, his fingers drawing slow, unsure circles against the cotton hiding your cunt from him, letting out a low groan from finally feeling the mess you made.
"Fuckâyeah, okay, baby, but just this and then we finish our movie."
But after you cum on his fingers, the movie becomes nothing but white noise playing in the background.
Virgin!Gojo who lasts all of a minute and a half, cumming as soon as you roll the condom on, and he hides his face when you breathe a soft little, âoh.â
But then his softening dick jerks when you touch the drying cum on his stomach, and bring that finger to your mouth.Â
âIt tastes good,â you smile, then scoop up more and drag it between your legs. âCan you do it inside me next time?â
It's the fastest he's ever gotten hard before, and once he's finally inside you, he's not sure why he wasted time with a condom when he's pretty sure the soft-wet between your legs ruins him for other womenâhis eyes rolling back at the slick feel of your tight-hot walls gripping his cock.Â
Because itâs the only cunt he ever wants to have.

à©â©â§âË day seven!! yay!! kinda want to draw this one wc: 1.3k masterlist â.àłàż*:
âIâd love to talk more about your plans, you can let my assistant know and weâll set up a meeting⊠thank you so muchâŠâ Your husband smiles charmingly, shaking the hand of another higher up. Someone with money and status. This entire room is full of money and diamonds. Shaking the hand of the man, his other arm draped around your waist and keeping you close. Youâre the only reason he can even stand events like this. He keeps up the forced smile. But only you know itâs mostly fake. Itâs not the same smile he wore when you said âI doâ or the smile you wake up to in the morning.Â
âLetâs get out of here, babeâŠâ He whispers in your ear once the group of guests finally disperse. Everyone whoâs here, mingling around the vast space, drinking, laughing and talking. The rich and influential here to network. Itâs an Alchemax charity event after all. âYouâre the CEO, Mig, you canât just leaveâŠâ You smile, adjusting his black tie over his chest, the knot at the top and the material smoothed down his broad chest under his jacket.Â
âIâve already shaken enough hands, I wanna shake youâŠâ He jokes, a bad joke at that, nuzzling his face into your neck for a moment, rolling your eyes at his unapologetic displays of affection in this crowded room. Unable to stop the smile on your lips. âYou wanna shake me?â Your brow raises teasingly, pretending you donât already know. âIâm not sure I know what you meanâŠâ You sigh, sipping your drink through the little straw. Making him roll his eyes now.Â
âWhat I mean is I want to have sex with you, mi amorâŠâÂ
He says it so clearly and a little too loud. Making your eyes widen. But nobody seems to notice. âI wanna take you home⊠rip that dress off⊠bend you over and have you all to myselfâŠâ He says low and sultry, right in your ear. âYou understand what I mean now?â He murmurs, his big hand moving from your lower back to your ass. Unashamed; just grabbing a handful, running his fingers over the silky fabric of your dress. Pressing himself to your hip so you can feel him, standing you between his legs.Â
âControl yourselfâŠâ You sigh, looking away, looking around to see if anyoneâs giving you looks. He is the man of the hour as usual. âWeâre not leaving⊠not when you have to give a speech in 30 minutesâŠâÂ
âCâmon baby⊠you look too good. I donât care about all thisâŠâ He whispers, wrapping both arms around you, pulling you closer, finding your eyes, always wanting eye contact. He does look so good. In that suit you love. The pressed collar and stark black and white. Reminds you of marrying him all over again every time you see him in a suit like that.Â
âWhat are you proposing? Iâm not letting you skip out on this speech. All these people are here to hear you speak.â You say, wanting to know what he wants to do about it. Heâs stubborn and for the genius he is, he sometimes doesnât even consider the facts. That youâre surrounded by people and low on time. Not a lot of options.Â
âI have an ideaâŠâÂ
âŠÂ
His hands are hungry, his lips even hungrier, latching onto your neck and practically pushing you down the hall. The sounds of the live quartet and conversation fading in the background, backing down the hall towards his office door. And when your back presses against the cold glass door, heâs on you, not leaving you without his touch for long. Hands running down your waist to your bum, kissing your lips, dipping his tongue into your mouth and swirling it around yours. One of his hands reaches towards the panel on the wall while his face dips into your neck. Absentmindedly pressing his fingers on the reader to scan his fingerprint and open the damn door already. Pressing his erection into your tummy through his pants, through your dress. His need for you. When the door finally slides open, he doesnât waste any time, scooping you up with his arms under your thighs, picking you up like itâs nothing and walking to his desk.Â
âWe should do quickies more oftenâŠâ He grins, setting you down on the metal desk, feeling like a couple of teenagers doing something naughty. Hands immediately moving around to the zipper on your back as he kisses your reddened neck, pulling it down gently and watching the fabric relax over your chest and shoulders. You stand up for a moment to step out of it, letting it pool at your heels. Looking up at him and he presses one kiss to your lips, tender and soft. Then one more to the column of your throat. He leans back up, pulling at the knot in his tie to get it off.Â
âWait wait-â You urge him, looking up at the confused look on his face as he freezes. âCan you leave it on?â
âLeave it on, baby?â He laughs softly, pushing your hair behind your ear.Â
âYeah justâŠâ You look down, pulling at his metal belt buckle, the clinks of the cold material around your fingers, pulling it open. Undoing his fly, releasing some of the tension in his pants which have grown quite tight. Once his pants are undone, your hands run up his shirt, under the material, feeling his hot skin and his abdomen moving with every breath. âLeave it onâŠâÂ
âŠÂ
âFeel that baby? Feels good?â He huffs, a hand in your hair, the other on your lower back keeping you pressed to the desk as he bottoms out. Buried deep in your dripping pussy and staying there, stretching you out. Bent over the edge of the metal structure, panties lazily pulled to the side to allow him access. âMmm Miguel please⊠feels so goodâŠâ
It does feel good. To be filled to the brim, taking him all the way to your cervix. His tip kissing all your deepest spots, brushing past the places that have you on your tippy toes. And when he pulls out to thrust back inside, your mind melts. Moaning loud against the cold surface, feeling him piston back in. Coating his length in your slick and the pumps becoming easier and easier as he keeps going. Working up a rhythm, his chest heaving and out of breath already. Groaning at the way youâre squeezing him. Like your pussy was made to take his dick like this.Â
His skin slaps against yours, slick and precum making a mess between your thighs, your panties sticky and soiled.Â
âBaby lookâŠâ His words just pass your ears without you even hearing them. Your mind mush and occupied focusing on how fucking good heâs fucking you right now.Â
âBaby look at that⊠look at youâŠâ He huffs, forcing your head up gently with his hand in your hair, careful not to pull too hard but enough so that you can witness the sight. Glancing at the large office windows. The dark outside allows you to see all thatâs going on in the room. Through the reflection in the glass. The sight of him over you, pounding into you from behind. His tie hanging loosely around his neck and his shirt all tussled, his big heavy watch as he grips your hair. Watching yourself get fucked. Watching him watching himself fucking you. Itâs all too much.Â
As if the sight caused some pocket inside you to burst, your eyes clamp shut, crying his name and coming immediately. No warning. Just instantly gushing. His dick pounding into you even as your juices drip and dribble to the floor, flooding around his cock, making him moan and shudder. âOh thatâs a good girlâŠâ He grins, feeling you squirt and gush on him. Hearing the fluttering sounds leaving your sweet lips. âFuckâŠâ He huffs, pumping into you once harder, then even harder again. Slapping against you, making you drip even more as he fucks it all out again. Filling you soon enough with his seed, coming to a sudden stop and letting himself deposit in you with a huff.Â
âŠÂ
About 15 minutes later. Heâs standing at the podium, addressing the hundreds in attendance for his speech about the company. Smiling and glowing and only you know why. Your panties stuffed in his jacket pocket. An oddly pleasant ache between your thighs.Â

Meet & Greet... and more? Pt. 9
Pairing: Lando Norris x reader Words: 2937 Click here for Part 8
Please do not repost, thank you, and leave some feedback :)
The months passed by with Y/N and Landoâs relationship growing deeper steadily. In the 11 months they had been with each other they both had learned to cope with Landoâs busy lifestyle. The next Grand Prix was just around the corner and Lando had always thrived on the adrenaline of racing but today the excitement was dimmed by a heavy feeling of responsibility. Every detail needed his attention and this meant missing Noahâs fifth birthday party, which was less than a week away.
He glanced at the demanding schedule on his desk and felt a pang of guilt. He opened his laptop and called Y/N, hoping to at least share a moment of happiness remotely via video. When her face appeared on the screen the dining table in the background was cluttered with birthday decorations ready to be hung up, of course racing themed.
âHey baby,â Lando said, trying to sound upbeat. âHowâs everything going for the big day?â
âHi,â Y/Nâs smile was warm. âWeâre getting everything ready, heâs really excited and heâs been asking about you a lot.â
Lando tried to mask his sadness with a smile. âIâm sorry I canât make it, things are just incredibly hectic right now.â
âI know,â Y/N replied, her eyes filled with understanding and concern. âHe understands and heâs so proud of you! He even drew a picture of you racing and heâs been showing it off to everyone. Heâs really looking forward to when youâre back and we can all spend some time together.â
Just then the boy appeared on the screen, holding up the drawing with a beaming smiley face. âLando, look! I made this for you, itâs you in the car!â
Landoâs heart melted at the sight. âWow, Noah, thatâs fantastic! Iâm going to keep it in my suitcase to remind me of you.â
Noahâs face lit up. âWill you win the race for me?â
âIâll definitely try my best,â Lando said sincerely. ïżœïżœAnd when I get back, weâll have a special day together. How about we finally go to a go-kart track and race like I do? You can show me how fast you are.â
âReally? That sounds amazing!â Noahâs eyes sparkled with excitement and Y/N gave Lando a grateful look. âThank you for making the effort to connect, even if you canât be here in person.â
ââ-------
In the days following the video call Lando couldnât shake the guilt of missing Noahâs birthday. He had promised to make it up to them and he was determined to keep that promise. Between the hectic preparations for the Grand Prix and the relentless schedule it seemed nearly impossible but Lando was set on finding a way.
Late one evening he sat in his living room and stared at his calendar. Meetings, strategy sessions and media obligations filled every available slot. But the more he looked, the more he felt that missing Noahâs birthday wasn't just a minor oversight, it was an opportunity lost to be there for someone who meant so much to him.
The idea was simple: create a small window of time to surprise them before the Grand Prix. It would be tight, but with some help he believed it could be done.
âHey, Oscar, do you have a moment to chat?â Lando spoke into his phone after his team mate had picked up.
âSure, whatâs up?â
âI need a huge favor,â Lando said. âNoahâs turning five this week and Iâve been looking forward to celebrating his birthday with him. But with all the media meetings and events I have lined up Iâm struggling to figure out how to be in two places at once.â
Oscar listened carefully. âWhat can I do to help?â
Lando took a deep breath. âI was wondering if you could cover some of my media meetings and sponsor commitments for a few days. Noah and Y/N are my family now and I canât bear the thought of missing this day.â
âI get it, Lando. Family is everything, Iâd be happy to help out.â
âThank you, Oscar,â Lando felt a surge of relief, âNoah looks up to me and Y/N has been incredibly supportive during our entire relationship. I want to be there for both of them just this once.â
Oscar chuckled softly, finding Landoâs dedication endearing. âYou know, itâs kind of cute to see how much you care about them. Itâs clear how much they mean to you.â
Lando smiled, a bit embarrassed, grateful that Oscar wasnât able to see him. âWell, when you find the right people it changes everything. Iâm really lucky to have them in my life.â
âJust send me the details and Iâll make sure everything runs smoothly. You focus on having a great time.â
âThank you so much,â Lando said gratefully. âIt means more to me than you know. Iâll get you all the details in a bit.â
âNo problem at all,â Oscar assured him. âWeâre all part of a team here and we support each other. If thereâs anything else you need just let me know.â
With their conversation wrapped up, Lando quickly called his assistant to inform him of the changes and then compiled the necessary details for Oscar, relieved and grateful for his friendâs support.
_________
The day of the surprise arrived and Lando boarded a private jet early in the morning, arriving in Y/Nâs city just in time to make the most of his brief visit. He kept his plan a secret, even from Y/N, to ensure it would be a complete surprise.
When Lando arrived at Y/Nâs house, he was greeted by colorful birthday decorations and the buzz of childrenâs laughter. Y/N opened the door, her eyes widening in disbelief when she saw him.
âLando! What are you doing here?â Y/N gasped and hugged her boyfriend tightly before kissing him for a few seconds.
âSurprise! I couldnât miss his birthday, so I rearranged my schedule to be here.â
Y/Nâs face lit up with happiness. âHeâs going to be thrilled. Heâs been so excited for today.â
As Noah ran up to the hallway his face brightened when he saw Lando. âYou came!â
Lando crouched down and the two of them hugged tightly for a moment, then Lando handed the birthday boy a large box wrapped in orange, his favorite color. âThis is for you, happy birthday, buddy.â
Noah eagerly unwrapped the box to find a high-quality remote-controlled race car. His eyes widened. âThis is amazing, itâs just like the car you drive!â
âIt is,â Lando said with a grin. âAnd I thought we could have some fun together testing it out.â
Before they could start playing Noahâs friends, who had been watching from a distance, gathered around, their eyes wide with disbelief as they recognized Lando. The kids stared in awe, their excitement growing as Lando greeted them. âHi everyone,â Lando said with a friendly wave. âIâm glad to finally meet all of Noahâs friends.â
The children took turns asking Lando questions about racing and they all spent the afternoon racing the remote-controlled car around the yard, with Noahâs friends eagerly joining in to cheer them on. The party was a huge success and after seeing the joy on Noahâs face Lando knew he had made the right decision.
â-----
The next evening Lando was preparing to leave for the Grand Prix when Y/N approached him, Noah standing next to her with a small, carefully wrapped package.
âBefore you go, Noah has something he made for you,â Y/N said. âHe and his class had a project where they crafted gifts for the special people in their lives. He was really excited about this and he wanted to give this to you next time you were here.â
The boy, standing beside Y/N, handed over the gift. âI picked you because youâre my hero.â
âAw,â Lando responded, visibly touched by the gesture, âthank you so much, I canât wait to see what youâve created.â
Lando unwrapped it eagerly but just as carefully and he discovered a handmade notebook. The cover was decorated with stickers, including race cars, stars and an orange glittery âL.â Inside, the pages were filled with Noahâs heartfelt notes and colorful drawings about their adventures at the tracks so far together.
Lando felt himself tear up as he flipped through the pages. Each drawing depicted a different scene, a race car zooming across a track, Lando in his racing suit and Noah himself with a big smile in the garage. But it was the final page that truly got to him.
The last drawing was a vibrant crayon depiction of a family. It showed Lando, Y/N and Noah together, smiling and holding hands, surrounded by stars and hearts. The drawing was labeled with the words: âOur Happy Family.â
Lando could barely keep himself from crying. He turned to Noah, who was watching him with wide, hopeful eyes. âThis is the most beautiful drawing Iâve ever seen. It means so much to me that you see us this way.â
âI wanted you to have something special because youâre always so busy and away from us.â
Y/N, seeing Landoâs emotional reaction, added softly, âNoah was so proud of his project. He wanted you to know how much you mean to him.â
Just in that moment Y/Nâs phone rang and she stepped away to answer. Lando took the opportunity to grab Noahâs hand and guide him to sit down next to him on the sofa. âCan I tell you something, Noah?â
The boy looked up, curious. âWhat is it?â
Lando took a deep breath, trying to find the right words. âI want you to know how much I love both you and your mom. Being with you two has made me happier than Iâve ever been.â
Noahâs eyes widened with interest. âReally?â
âReally,â Lando said, nodding. âAnd thereâs something Iâve been thinking about. I want to ask your mommy to marry me but I wanted to make sure youâre okay with it first.â
âYou mean you want to be our family forever?â Noahâs face lit up with excitement and the young man smiled, feeling relieved. âYes, thatâs exactly what I mean. I want us to be a family, just like in your drawing. What do you think?â
Noah thought for a moment, then asked shyly, âIf youâre going to be our family, you kind of would be my dad then?â
Landoâs heart melted. âThat would make me very happy. But letâs keep this a secret for now, okay? Weâll surprise your mommy together when the time is right.â
Noah nodded enthusiastically. âOkay, I wonât tell anyone,â he whispered and the both shared a big smile while Noah snuggled up to the man.
_____
Lando had spent the last few weeks juggling the thrill of Formula 1 races with the excitement of planning a surprise that meant more to him than any victory on the track. He had been dating Y/N for well over a year now, a year that had flown by in a blur of love and laughter. Their relationship had grown and Lando knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her.
There was just one thing missing: the perfect proposal. So, he decided to involve someone very important in his plan, someone who would have a unique perspective and whose opinion mattered a lot to both Y/N and Lando. That someone was Noah.
During his next weekend off Lando gently woke Y/N one morning and informed her about the dayâs agenda.
âGood morning, love,â Lando said softly, smiling and kissing her forehead. âIâve got a little surprise planned for you today.â
Y/N blinked sleepily. âOh? And whatâs that?â
âIâm taking Noah for a boysâ day out. Youâre going to have a day to yourself; shopping, pampering, whatever you want, baby. Just relax and enjoy.â
âAnd what are you two up to?â
Lando gave a mysterious grin. âYouâll find out soon enough. Have fun today!â
With that he placed a loving kiss on her head and quietly tiptoed over to Noahâs room where the boy was already awake, the space a cheerful mess of toys.Â
âGood morning, buddy,â Lando greeted, tousling his hair. âAre you ready for a little secret mission?â
Noahâs eyes widened with curiosity. âA mission? What kind of mission?â
Lando knelt down to Noahâs level, a playful grin on his face. âItâs a very important mission. I need your help to plan something really special for your mommy.â
âWhat is it?â Noahâs face lit up with excitement.Â
âRemember when I told you a while ago that I wanted to ask your mom to marry me?â Lando asked. âI need your help to make sure itâs perfect. Can you help me with it?â
Noahâs eyes sparkled with delight. âYes, Iâll help! What do we need to do?â
Before they were able to head out they had to get ready. First he had to get the boy dressed. Lando picked out a pair of comfy jeans, then held up a colorful, striped shirt and a grey hoodie.Â
âWhich one?â Lando asked, holding them up for Noah to see.
âThis one,â Noah pointed at the hoodie, âso we look like twins because youâre wearing a similar hoodie.â
âGreat choice,â Lando laughed, setting the clothes on the bed. âI have to start selling some LN4 merch for kidsâŠâ he mumbled to himself, still giggling while helping the kid put on the hoodie, carefully guiding his head through the hole and then assisting him with the jeans.
Next up were the shoes. Noah struggled a bit with the laces, so Lando patiently demonstrated how to tie them with the boy sitting on his lap and intensively watching the man make two bows and soon Noah was proudly showing off his neatly tied sneakers.
âYouâre all set, budâ Lando said, giving Noah a playful fist bump.
Noah looked down at himself, beaming with pride. âThanks, I look great.â
âYou sure do,â Lando chuckled and a few minutes later they were on their way.
Lando could hardly contain his own excitement as they headed out, Noah chattering away about superheroes and cars. They made their way to a luxurious jewelry store that Lando had carefully selected and once inside Lando crouched down to Noahâs level.Â
âOkay, buddy, hereâs the plan. Weâre going to pick out the prettiest ring we can find for your mommy. I want it to be perfect and I need your expert opinion. Do you think you can help me with that?â
The boy nodded proudly. They wandered through the store and he would occasionally stop to inspect a ring with intense focus. Lando enjoyed watching Noahâs careful consideration, amazed at just how seriously the little kid took his task.
After a while, Noah stopped in front of a classic, elegant ring with a solitaire diamond. His eyes grew big and he looked up at Lando with a confident grin. âI think this one is the best! Itâs so shiny and pretty!â
Lando studied the ring. It was perfect; timeless and beautiful, just like Y/N. He smiled and nodded, clearly impressed. âI think youâre right. This is the one!â
Noah beamed with pride as the ring was carefully packaged. âI canât wait to see mommyâs face when she sees it!â
With the ring selected they headed to a nearby fast food restaurant where Lando turned to Noah for ideas for the proposal. Over shared chicken nuggets, fries and milkshakes they came up with a perfect plan and after they had finished their meals and bought the rest of the supplies they would need they quickly made their way home knowing that Y/N was still going to be out for another few hours.
Back at the house they worked together to prepare the living room. They created a colorful path by lining the walls with some pictures Noah quickly drew, depicting past memories the three of them had made together and at the end of the trail is where they were going to wait for her.
When Y/N arrived a few hours later she followed the trail of Noahâs drawings, her heart swelling with emotion as she admired each piece, confused about what was happening but curious to find out what was awaiting at the end of the trail. Eventually she saw Noah with the biggest smile on his face, holding a large sign that read âWill You Marry Lando?â
In the center of the room and next to her son stood Lando, surrounded by Y/Nâs favorite flowers and big red shiny heart balloons scattered around him and Noah. He took Y/Nâs hand, his voice filled with emotion. âY/N, weâve been planning something special for you today.â
Noah, proudly holding the sign and not being able to wait any longer, added, âMommy, Lando and I picked out a ring for you. We wanted it to be perfect!â
Y/Nâs eyes filled with tears as she looked back at Lando who dropped to one knee, holding out the beautiful ring. âY/N, I love you more than words can express and I want nothing more than to be a family with you and Noah. Will you marry me?â
Overwhelmed with emotion Y/N nodded, tears streaming down her face. âYes, Lando. Of course I will!â
Noah jumped up and down with joy just as Lando slipped the ring onto Y/Nâs finger. They embraced each other tightly, with Noah joining in, sharing kisses knowing that the journey of their little family was just starting.

Take the Cake
For the @steddie-spooktober day 26 prompt: Blood Rated: E đ | Words: 868 | CW: blood, explicit sexual content | Tags: established relationship, vampire!Eddie Munson, blood drinking, frottage, hand jobs Divider credit: @steddiecameraroll-graphics
Eddie licks up the length of Steveâs neck, long and slow, relishing in the way he can feel Steveâs pulse pounding beneath his tongue, can feel him shivering in his lap. He applies the barest hint of fang to the tender skin beneath Steveâs ear, and Steve gives his shoulder an ineffectual shove.
âQuit playing with your food,â he admonishes, and Eddie canât help but snicker.
âIâm not playing,â Eddie says, pressing a kiss to the hinge of Steveâs jaw. âItâs likeâ have you ever seen a really pretty cake?â
Steve, who has been squirming in his place straddled across Eddieâs thighs, worked up from kisses and teasing touches, eager for the promise of what comes next, goes still. He pulls back and fixes Eddie with a glare that is equal parts bitchiness and bewilderment.
âWhat the fuck are you talking about?â
âA really pretty cake,â Eddie says, threading his fingers through Steveâs hair and drawing him back in, laying another kiss over his pulse point. âOne with all those frosting roses and the fancy piping. And you look at it and think that itâs too pretty to eat.â He scrapes his teeth down the sensitive line of Steveâs throat, relishing in the shudder it gets him, and murmurs against his skin, âYou almost donât wanna bite into it.â
Steve huffs. âWell Iâm not a cake, so can you justâ ah!â
From where heâs just bitten down, fangs piercing Steveâs neck, Eddie hums out a little laugh, and then sucks.
The first mouthful is always the best, and Eddie will stand by that. Steveâs blood is rich and warm, intoxicating as it coats Eddieâs tongue and runs down his throat. Heâs not sure heâll ever get enough of it â and it helps that Steve is such a willing donor.
The noises he makes are almost as good as the taste of him: the whines, the breathless little ohâs, the gasps of pleasure; itâs exquisite background music for the meal he offers, and the way he shivers and bucks in Eddieâs lap is just the cherry on top.
After a few good mouthfuls, Eddie becomes aware of the rhythmic way Steve is rocking against him, can suddenly feel the hard line of Steveâs cock, trapped in his jeans, rutting up against Eddieâs belly. Eddie hums again, fisting his hand in Steveâs hair and tugging just to hear him groan. He wiggles his free hand between them and cups Steveâs dick in his palm, giving him something firmer to grind against.
Steveâs breath is coming in quick pants when Eddie finally manages to detach from his neck. Blood trickles down from the twin marks he leaves behind, and he licks it up with the broad flat of his tongue, eager to catch every drop. Steve whines high in his throat, and Eddie grins.
âFeeling good, sweetheart?â he asks, lips brushing against skin still sticky and damp with spit and blood.
Against the firm hold Eddie has on his hair, Steve nods. âSo good,â he murmurs, sounding almost drunk with it as he rocks against Eddieâs hand.
Heâs probably had enough, Eddie decides; Steve might be his favorite source of sustenance, but heâs also Eddieâs favorite person, and the last thing he wants to do is take too much from him. He licks back up over the bite mark again, not tasting or teasing this time, but purposeful, knowing that whatever freaky vampire shit is going on with his saliva will have the puncture wounds closing up to almost nothing within an hour. The bleeding, to Eddieâs equal disappointment and satisfaction, has already stopped.
âEddie,â Steve all but whines, working his hips almost frantically into Eddieâs palm, and Eddie shushes him with a nipping kiss to his neck.
âIâve got you, baby,â he promises.
Working Steveâs jeans open with one hand isnât easy, and the angle once he gets his hand down Steveâs briefs is awkward, but the noise he makes when Eddie finally wraps a hand around him makes it worth the effort.
Heâs wet already, leaking enough precome to make the slide of Eddieâs hand around his cock easy and quick, and it isnât long at all before the rhythm of Steveâs hips is stuttering, his every desperate sound called into the open air as Eddie pulls his head back with one hand still gripped in his hair. He comes with a wordless cry, nearly a shout, too far gone to worry about how loud heâs gotten, and Eddie has always been of the opinion that the noisier Steve gets, the better.
Eddie works him through it, pumping his hand and thumbing the sensitive spot just beneath the head of Steveâs cock until Steve has gone limp and shivery, his whole body curling in towards Eddie. Eddie lets him go, releasing his hold on Steveâs hair and stroking gently at his scalp while Steve buries his face in his shoulder.
âDonât go passing out on me, honey,â Eddie says. He moves his hand from Steveâs hair to his thigh, wrapping possessive fingers around him as he rolls his hips up against Steveâs ass, letting him feel the insistent press of his own hard cock. âWeâre not done just yet.â

jadey would you please mind giving us more of kbd!steve this season? xxxx
kbd dad!steve and mom!reader fight over christmas pyjamas, 1.4k
âI don't know what you want me to say.âÂ
Steve frowns deeply at you. Another haircut, another day more handsome than before, he pulls off everything, but notâŠÂ
âSay you like them,â he demands, hooking his thumbs in his pyjama top and pulling it outwards to properly show you the front.Â
Steve is wearing Christmas pyjamas. The Grinch from The Grinch Who Stole Christmas in all his scrooge glory grins at you evilly against a red background. The pants are white, patterned by red and green drawings of the Grinch holding a Christmas present. He looks much happier from your husband's thighs than the long sleeved shirt.Â
âBabe, they have cuffs. We're gonna be warm all day,â he says.Â
âThey don't match,â you say, pointing to the Grinch on his leg, who holds a pink gift wrapped in yellow ribbon. âMaybe it's the pink and red throwing me off.âÂ
His frown turns to a pout, the almond shape of his warm brown eyes at a downturn as he says, âYou really don't like them.âÂ
You crack like a weak walled chestnut over a flame. âI'm kidding! I'm just messing with you, baby, I love them. They're so Christmas-sy. Did you get some for me?âÂ
His relief is palpable. âI got some for everyone.âÂ
Steve got matching pyjamas for himself, you, the kids, and Robin. He shows you them from a bag on the kitchen table, where you ooh and aah reluctantly. You love him, love everything he does, but you're finally on your holidays vacation and you'd wanted to spend as much of it sitting down as possible. Not that sitting down is possible at home, but you digress.Â
Steve senses your reluctance with a grumble pressed into the back of your neck, his arms grabbing you from behind. âAlright, I get it! You hate me and your kids and you hate Christmas most of all, whatever. I should've married Tammy Thompson.âÂ
You laugh and lean forward over his arms. âTammy Thompson wouldn't have wanted a thing to do with you, H, on account of you being a cruel, know-it-all narcissist who forces his exhausted wife off of the couch at every opportunity heââÂ
âAlright, that's enough.âÂ
Steve squeezes you until you're pleading with him to let you go, a riot of giggles forced from your lungs as he digs his hands into your sides, his fingers practically drilled into your ribs. You call for mercy and he ignores it, muttering about narcissism in your ear. He laughs as you laugh, can't keep up the act.Â
âBeg for me to stop,â he says.Â
âStop!â you say, trying to pull his arms off of your stomach. âSteve, stop it!âÂ
âSay you'll wear the pyjamas.âÂ
âSteve! I'll wear them! Would youââÂ
âGet off of her!â Bethie shouts, barrelling into the room to push at her dad's legs.Â
It's so unlike Beth to shout that you both immediately stop fighting. For a split second, you think she's worried that Steve was actually hurting you, but then she laughs as she punches him in the thigh and sticks herself between your breathless bodies, two small arms extended to keep you apart.Â
When she's sure Steve is done, she wraps her arms around you, looking up into your face with a big smile. âSaved you, mom.âÂ
âYou saved me,â you agree, bending down to hug her, âthank you, sweetheart, thank you.â You drop tens of kisses into her hair and face, so many that Steve makes a show of huffing.
âBeth, she deserved it,â he says. âShe doesn't wanna wear our matching jammies. Don't you wanna do that?âÂ
She looks at him with those big sorry eyes only young children can master. âYeah, dad, butâŠâÂ
âBut what?âÂ
âBut she's my mom.âÂ
You pull one of the kitchen chairs out and sit down, patting your lap for her to climb up and sit with you. âBut I'm her mom,â you sing-song, ever so slightly smug.Â
âAnd I'm, what? Cat food?âÂ
âDon't listen to him, baby, he's just jealous.âÂ
Steve turns away from you both, showfully miffed. Bethie giggles and turns into your chest. âHe's mad,â she laughs.Â
âSo mad.â You drop your nose into the side of her cheek.Â
âAre we still having a treat tonight?â she asks.Â
âOf course we are. It's Christmas! Mom's home, daddy's catching up on his sleep, we're all having cake and ice cream and chocolates until we can't eat anymore,â you promise.Â
âWish you were home all the time.âÂ
âMe too, baby,â you say, rubbing her cheek with the tip of your nose slowly. âI wish you could come to work with me. That would be so fun. But we have to make the most of our time away, yeah? Let's have lots and lots of fun.âÂ
âI saved you,â she says, âso maybe I can have extra cake.âÂ
âBeth. You can have as much as you want tonight, I promise.âÂ
âI love Christmas,â she decides.Â
Steve rushes back into the kitchen with a child under each arm. Dove laughs, her eyes practically sparkling, not a care in the world though she's upside down, and Avery clings to Steve's waist, shouting, âDad, put me down!â through nervous giggles.Â
âTell mom what I told you,â he says.Â
âDad, I'm slipping!âÂ
âAvery, you're not slipping. I'm frankly insulted that you think I would drop you. Now tell your mother what we said.âÂ
âDaddy's not a nar-pasit!â Dove says joyfully. âHe's a sweetheart.âÂ
âHe's a huge narcissist,â you correct in a similar tone.Â
âHe's dropping me!â Avery cries.Â
Steve shakes her until she screams. âI am not! For Christ's sake, I can curl you like two pound weight, you delinquent! Now.â He takes a deep, fake breath, pulling the two girls higher into his armpits. âLike we rehearsed.âÂ
âI did my turn,â Dove says, reaching out for you, her smile hard to miss even if she is upside down..
âDad didn't even want to marry that lady,â Avery says, her eyes squeezed closed. Steve chuckles and kisses her head, amused by her silly worry. âHe's only ever wanted to be in love with you. And to drop me.âÂ
Steve chokes he laughs so hard, leaning forward and depositing the eldest girl onto two steady feet. âPerfect as always, Ave. And you!â He twists into a shape, Dove's head getting closer and closer to the floor. She couldn't be happier, giggling like she's been tickled the whole while. âYou did perfect too, honey.âÂ
âI didn't even bring up that lady,â you say.Â
Steve and Dove return back to the right way round after some careful manoeuvring. âMy bad. Babe. Y/N. I'm sorry, okay? I'm a loser andââ He nudges Dove aside gently to take your hands, your knees, ignoring Beth where she's in the way to kneel in front of you. âI just need you to want to wear these pyjamas as bad as I want you to. So pull it together.âÂ
You put your lips to the shell of Beth's ear. âShould we forgive him?âÂ
âMmmâŠâ Beth points at Avery. âHe has to say sorry for almost dropping Avey.âÂ
âRight.â You nod sagely.Â
Steve turns to Avery with wide eyes, âYou're not actually upset, are you?â he asks, putting out his hand to her.Â
âMy brains are like cranberry sauce,â she says.Â
He raises his eyebrows, delighted. âYeah? The thick one from the can?âÂ
Dove climbs under his arm. He pulls her in for a cuddle unthinkingly, but just as quickly she's ducking away from him to walk up to Avery, reaching for her face. Avery leans down obligingly.Â
Dove pokes her forehead.Â
âI'm not really jelly!â Avery says, giggling.Â
âWell, I'm sorry if I scared you almost dropping you,â Steve says, holding his hands together, brown eyes like melting sugar in his pleading. âCan you please forgive me, so mommy will forgive me, and we can put on our new jammies?âÂ
Avery isn't stubborn. âYeh, okay. I'll forgive you.âÂ
He smiles, turning to you now for the final verdict.Â
âI already said I'd wear them, Steve,â you say with a grin.Â
âOh. Good. Alright.â He climbs to his feet, split from cheek to cheek. âI'm gonna go get the baby. Aw, shit, and the camera. Practise your poses until I come back, angels!â

my problem is that I like my ships best if they maintain as much of their canon personalities as possible.
If they bicker or fight or are prickly in canon, I'm okay with them doing that as a ship, too! It feels natural!
With sonadow, I hadn't shipped them in a while because I hated how Shadow's personality had become from the 2010s until like. Sonic Prime. Shadow ISN'T a bully!!! He fights AGAINST bullies. He can get competitive but usually only with Sonic. He's serious, he doesn't quite get small talk or some sayings, and his resting face LOOKS PISSED but he's just standing there.
I loved Sonic Boom as an AU, but when Shadow's personality became that in the main continuity, I was devastated. It felt like the executives took a character so beloved by us shy people, looked at his superficial design and went "Yeah this guy is an edgy dickhead"
We didn't call him edgy because of his design or attitude, we called him that because his narrative was SO MUCH DARKER than Sonic's or anyone else's. But that became the norm, everything became about Shadow being an edgelord asshole who threatens people and calls them weak and pathetic. He went from some guy who was dedicated to saving the world and keeping the peace to some jerkoff who'd tell people to kys all the time. And I was so, so sad.
And then Sonic Prime happened. And I was afraid at first to try to open my heart to the writing, because Shadow had been done dirty SO MANY TIMES...
But suddenly, Sonic AND Shadow, AND THEIR DYNAMIC was GOT. It's like they UNDERSTOOD. I'm still not a fan of the idea of Shadow not having friends, but it feels more like he doesn't have friends because he's afraid of that vulnerability RATHER THAN because he's being written as a bully.
AND IT BRINGS A TEAR OF JOY TO MY EYE. My awkward baby was back, the guy who focused on the mission so hard he'd miss the finer details at times. But also, the guy who cares SO MUCH but can't express it properly for the LIFE of him.
The guy who grabs others by the hand to pull them forward, to run WITH them. Who keeps warning Sonic not to trust so blindly because he is WORRIED about not just the consequences of the big picture, but also what that will do to his friend.
Sonic being too busy being sassy and playful that he can't realize that this IS Shadow caring, it's just not as open or casual or bubbly as his other friends. Shadow can't do that; it's just not the way he is. He's more stiff, he hates attention, he'd rather be in the background, he comes across as awkward when he's trying to be cool or serious.
But he actually seems to RELAX a bit around Sonic, and they work SO WELL together. Their personalities are TOTAL OPPOSITES but they ALWAYS attract. Magnetized together.
And it feels SO GOOD to see that understood, and written GENUINELY. AFTER 15 YEARS OF SEGA GETTING IT WRONG, we're finally giving Shadow his integrity and core BACK!!!!
And I prefer seeing ship art of them that reflects this. I used to draw so much sonadow back in the day, but I just don't anymore. Maybe I can get back into it, since I'm still too picky about fanon sonadow.
But GOD does it feel GOOD to see my boys respected narratively again!!!!

Water Like a Stone (1/?)
[Orm Marius x Reader]
Summary: Exiled on land and taken in by Tom Curry at the Lighthouse, Orm is introduced to family friend and Marine Park Ranger Grace, a woman unafraid of swimming with sharks and whose job it is to care for the Amnesty coastline... How is he not to adore her.
Warnings: Language, sexual references, mentions of almost drowning? Reader is named, but it shouldn't come up too often, it just makes it easier to write xxx
Notes: This is set post The Lost Kingdom, and is a slight AU given that in this story Atlantis hasn't yet come forward to the world. This si my first time writing for Orm, I hope you enjoy it!! TY to @hangmanssunnies you are my ROCK!!!!!!!
Word Count: 6.7k
Orm pokes at the dark purplish bruise on his forearm, one of many that littered his body after another day of training. This one is already turning yellow around the edges, and by tomorrow it will only be a faint ache he wonât be able to see, but will still feel regardless when another bruise forms over it.
A delicate hand takes his and pries it away from his arm, holding it tightly. His mother frowns at him, though, he knows itâs not really him she frowns at, and when she realises heâs looking up at her, her features pull into a soft, sad smile.
âI do⊠I do everything Father asks of me,â Orm begins doing his best to stop his voice from shaking, though heâs so young the feat feels impossible. âBut he always asks for more⊠Does he think me a failure too?â he asks, but he regrets the question the moment it leaves his mouth, as his motherâs smile falls. Orm would do just about anything to see his mother smile, especially now, especially given come morning he would never get to see it again.
She hugs him, draws him near and almost wraps her whole body around him. In recent months heâd become adverse to feeling small, especially in the eyes of his father, but right now his father isnât present, and Orm doesnât mind feeling small. He does feel small, embraced by his mother like a baby again, and he holds on tight, knowing itâs for the last time.
âOrm, I need you to hear me when I say this, if itâs the last thing you remember of me, I need you to hear it; It does not matter if your father is proud of you, son, the only person who must be proud of the man you become is you.â
Orm looks up at his mother, briefly shocked by her words, but he lets them sink in, washing over him like the water all around them. He hugs her tighter and squeezes his eyes shut.
âIâll remember everything about you, I wonât forget,â Orm insists, and feels the vibration of his mother humming, her chest to his head.
His shaking voice and soft sniffling is harder to hide then, and he turns his face inward to attempt to hide it, but is only met with a gentle hand carding through his hair, and the sound of his motherâs own tears as she holds him closer.
âItâs okay, Orm, you can cry with me, Iâll cry with you,â
Those are the last words he hears as he falls asleep in his motherâs arms for the final time, and in the morning when sheâs led to the Trench, he replays them in his head, over and over and over as she is taken from him.
Orm wakes in the early morning, slivers of pre-dawn light filtering through his window. He lays still for several minutes, listening to the sounds of the wind and the house settling before he at last rises. Ever since Arthur, Mera, and their son, had moved to their own home, he rarely heard a sound this early. Tom still slept, though Orm knows he too will wake soon, so he quickly dresses, in simple work clothes, and begins the morning duties.
The creaks and shudders of the house are his only company as he gently steps onto the porch, and for a brief moment, he finds himself almost missing the full house. Though heâd never turn an ear to purposefully listening in to others' conversations, the background noise was almost comforting. Heâd known the comings and goings in the upstairs rooms by the footsteps alone, could track where they were going and what they were doing, and the downstairs movements were similiarly traced by the groaning of the floorboards.
Orm knows he might be called paranoid for keeping such tabs, but if that were the worst of his offences these days, heâd bear it.
The sun wonât show itself for an hour or more by the time heâs trudged up the lighthouse steps and performed the routine checks and tests Tom had shown him, and although Orm could now say he relished the feeling of the sun on his skin, he liked rising before it woke, enjoyed the blue haze the world was cast in before itâs rays reached any of them. It reminded him of Atlantis. It reminded him of home.
After checking the boat docked on the pier, he pulls it up and out of the water, for some maintenance later, as heâd been advised yesterday, though he has no real grasp on the mechanical side of things, he was happy to help the old man with his strength alone.
In his exile, and subsequent âdeathâ, Tom had been willing to take Orm in, and in doing so, had given him a new sense of purpose, of duty, and the lighthouse was quickly becoming a source of calm and solace for the once-king of the waves below.
One of them at least.
The other, as he would come to know her, arrives at around midday.
-
You arrive at the Lighthouse at around 12:30.
Your modestly sized, government-issued four wheeler is hooked up in the back with an equally modest sized little dingey. Your business out at the bay only really needed to be a conversation, but youâve known Tom Curry long enough by now to know heâd have no problems with you killing two birds with one stone, and allowing you to use his pier.
Besides, it was choppy out there today, and you didnât want to give the old man a scare when you inevitably left your boat anchored and seemingly empty.
You pull your uniform bomber on as you exit your truck, seeing as you were out here on official business afterall, and step out into the fierce winds that were already picking up. One look up at the sky tells you if not now, it would rain soon enough, but you find yourself startled by movement and sound to your right, and you jump to face the man that has now exited the boat shed only a few meters away.
âCan I help you?â he asks, voice low, but smooth and rounded, somehow sounding incredibly formal despite his almost ragged appearance. That wasnât to say the man was not well kept, in fact he looked incredibly similar to the impression his voice gave off, only, he wore a dark set of work clothes, and instead of waterproof pullovers like youâd see most of the dock workers or even you yourself have worn on occasion when working on wetter days, this man's clothes are damp, if not outright soaked in patches.
To his credit, if the man was bothered by his lack of dryness, he doesnât let on.
Heâs handsome, you realise dumbly and out of nowhere, very aware of the ridiculousness of your standing there and accessing him like a value to be taken stock of, especially given that the rain youâd predicted had begun to sprinkle lightly now. And yet, you canât help yourself. He is handsome, with strikingly defined features, piercing blue eyes and almost white blond hair. You find there's something almost familiar about him, which is when you remember.
This must have been Tomâs âother sonâ. You knew Tomâs son Arthur tangentially, youâd gone to the same school, though a few years apart, and youâd even been saddled together on a luckless double date once back in high school, but despite this, youâd honestly say you knew Tom much better. Still, for as long as youâd known the Curryâs, it had been just the two of them. You were too young to remember the strange woman your father had mentioned once, and to be honest, your father mentioned a lot of âstrangeâ things, so youâd never really paid him much mind on that front, but recently, the talk of the town had you wondering.
Youâd seen the family around town since Arthurâs mother had returned. You hadnât met this man yet, but youâd heard through the grapevine at your work about him, Arthurâs brother. Apparently he was helping to run the lighthouse, and looking at the man before you now, there's not a doubt in your mind heâs of the same blood as the ethereally beautiful woman youâd seen here and there.
âOh, Iââ you start, feeling your face heat up slightly as you tear your eyes away from staring at the man openly, his slowly rising eyebrow telling you heâd been fully aware of your struckedness. A small, physical shake of your head gets you back on track, just as the man dusts his hands offâ though you note they didnât appear dirty to youâ and steps closer to you. He briefly looks up at the clouds as he feels the first of the rain on his face, and you almost have to give another shake of your head to draw yourself away from waxing poetic about the way he looks so lovingly up at them.
âI work for the Marine Park office, I just need to talk to Tom about the upcoming seasonâŠâ you manage to get out. His eyes finally leave the sky to focus back on you as he comes to a stop a few feet away, though after a moment, his gaze travels beyond you, to what it takes you a moment to realise is your truck, specifically your boat, and you clear your throat. â⊠and I didnât think heâd mind if I used his pier afterâŠâ you tell him quickly, feeling a little like youâre under deep scrutiny, but you get the distinct feeling that his lightning-coloured eyes make everyone feel that way.
He looks back at you quickly once heâs processed your words, a small, concerned looking frown coming over his features.
âYouâre going out to the Archipelago today?â he asks. It isnât a true Archipelago that you had here in Amnesty, it was really just a large collection of small rocks and islands formed off the coast, outside of the initial Bay, but it had been called as such for longer than you can remember.
âWell, I plan to be below the water, so the wind and the rain doesnât bother me too much,â you reply, preparing yourself to assure and defend your decision to do your job, but unlike the warnings of rough waters and danger youâre expecting from the stranger, he shakes his head and nods out at the pier, and the water beyond it.
âThereâs a shark in the area. Tom has been monitoring it since yesterday⊠I thought he would have relayed that information to your officeâŠ?â he tells you instead. It takes you a moment to really hear what heâs said, but once your mind filters it through, you let out a laugh of almost relief, your own gaze trailing out to where heâd been gesturing at.
âOh, thatâs just Khan! Heâs a local. Sort of. Usually swings by once a month or so to get pets and head scratches⊠donât worry, heâll retreat deeper by tomorrow, Iâm sure. It gets too cold for him otherwise,â you assure the stranger with a wave of your hand.
The manâs features turn to surprise, and he blinks down at you like youâve just said something completely insane. It doesnât bother you, however. As the certified ichthyologist hired to work for the Amnesty Bay Marine Park, you were more than used to people thinking you were insane for swimming with some of the sharks that came through the area over the summer months, but Shere Khan was different. An older, docile creature, the king of the tiger (sharks) as youâd dubbed him, loved to keep you and your colleagues company when you were out and about on the water, and you almost didnât feel quite right anymore going out there without him when he was away.
Contrary to how most people would feel with a six metre tiger shark tailing their boat, ever since an incident with a slightly more aggressive and curious bull shark several years back, you actually felt much safer with him around.
âYouâre going toââ he doesnât get to finish, the disbelief in his voice going entirely unanswered as nearby the back door to the propertyâs main building all but bursts open, and Tom comes barrelling down the steps, drawing both of your attention. On his face is a massive grin, and you donât stop to think about not wanting to leave the close proximity of the stranger, instead caught up in the joy of what you know is about to be a massive bear hug.
âGracie!â The lighthouse keeper exclaims as he gathers you up in a bundle of an embrace, and you canât help but let out a laugh. âItâs been too long, my girl! You never come see me any more!â he complains with the faux grouchiest looking version of a pout youâve ever seen, and as he puts you down, you give his shoulder a playful shove.
âDonât get sour on me, gramps, Iâve heard youâve replaced me!â you say cheekily, jerking your thumb over your shoulder at the blond man who seems to gingerly approach. Something in Tomâs eyes light up as he looks between you and the stranger, but he appears to try to cover it up quickly with even more faux attitude. He points a threatening finger at you.
âIâll get more sour if you keep calling me âgrampsâ!â he growls out, but his aggression lasts only moments, and he looks past you to the blond who lingers beside the two of you.
âGrace, this is Arthurâs brother Orm. Orm, this is Grace. Sheâs a Marine Park Ranger here in Amnesty. Takes care of the tourists during holiday season⊠and sheâs a family friend.â
At last with an introduction, you turn to the man, and after only a moment of hesitence on his part, you shake his hand, cursing yourself for how flushed and warm your face feels when you make eye contact again. Youâre glad to see any of his prior alert for your upcoming swim conditions has receded, a sort of grim acceptance seemingly overcoming him now, but again, that in itself is more than familiar to you from outsiders.
âItâs a pleasure to meet you,â Orm tells you somehow both incredibly regally, but simultaneously stiffly, as though he knows his formality is out of place, yet knows no other way. You decide to ease any of his discomfort by matching the strange, frankly weird energy you get from him.
âThe pleasure is mine, Iâm glad the old man has someone to help him out at the lighthouse now⊠was starting to worry me for a few years there,â you say truthfully, but playfully, and it doesnt go unnoticed to you the way Ormâs slightly too polite small turns a little softer, and he gains a small glint in his eyes as they flicker past you and toward the sound of the angry hiss you hear.
âFor your information, the âold manâ is still hear, and is still willing to call up someoneâs father to inform him of her breaking the cardinal rule of not insulting the Lighthouse Keeper!â
You ignore Tom, though you roll your eyes and laugh, your attention more importanttly taken up by the fact youâre still shaking Ormâs hand. You quickly pull away with a nervous chuckle at your own expense, though thankfully this time, the blond doesnât seem willing to call you out with another raised eyebrow. He simply stays still in place, with his hand outstretched yet now empty, before he too seems to realise his fault, and drops it to his side.
You clear your throat and have to force yourself to tear your eyes away from the striking man in front of you.
âWell, ah, Iâd love to have come for a social visit, but I do need to talk to you about a few things regarding the upcoming tourist seasonâŠâ you tell Tom, who does his best faux grumble, but nods along despite himself. Naturally you both begin making your way up to the house, and only a glance behind you reveals Orm, standing still in his place, and watchnig after you curiously.Â
When you catch one anothers eye again, you both bashfully startle, and look away.
-
Orm is tying your boat to the dock when he finally hears his motherâs footsteps approach. Sheâd been watching him from the window, then the porch for some time as heâd unhooked the boat off the back of the monstrosity one might call a âcarâ, and pulled it down to the pier for you. Strictly speaking, it certainly wasnt his job to do. He can tell the boat isnt all that heavy, likely picked out by you specifically so you would not need much help⊠but Orm finds he canât stop himself once the thought has entered his head.
âYou know, Tomâs mentioned Ranger Grace before, I donât know if you remember, he suggested perhaps the two of you meet⊠to make sure you donât spend all of your time here at the lighthouse, I meanâŠâ his mother starts, and Orm suppresses a roll of his eyes.
âSheâs planning on swimming with that shark that's out there,â he ignores his mothers insinuation, but she isnât deterred.
âHer fatherâs a sailor, captains a ship out of the Bay, perhaps you could take a trip,â she goes on like he said nothing at all.
âHis name is Khan. Itâ he has a name. How big did Tom say it was? six metres? Sheâs insane,â he wants to hate himself for sounding so enamoured but he canât bring himself to do it. Atlanna rests her hand on his arm, and when he looks back at her sheâs giving him a soft smile that almost makes him fold entirely.
âIf Tom trusts her, you should too.â
Orm isnât quite sure why it feels like sheâs speaking about more than just the shark.
-
When you exit your meeting with Tom, you step out of the house to find your boat no longer hitched on the back of your car, and after only a few moments of searching, you spot it, bobbing at the end of the pier. Curiously, you begin wandering over to it, only to stop short when you see the blond manâ Orm, knelt down on the pier, winding up a thick length or rope, and occasionally looking out over the rough waters ahead.
When you approach, you seem to startle him, because he stands suddenly and whips his head toward you, though clearly seems to regret such attentiveness, if the flustered look on his features is anything to go by.
âRanger Grace,â he says formally, making you grin. You wonder, with a manner like that, if he has to force himself to suppress a bow.
âJust âGraceâ is fine,â you tell him, and for a moment you stare at one another. You feel captive in his intense gaze, like youâre being sized up or analysed, but in a single second youâre released, and he looks away, back toward the water, a tiny frown creasing between his eyebrows.
You already know what he wants to say, itâs the same thing a hundred people have said to you before, and you hold back a friendly eyeroll, and open your mouth to abate his worry, but once again when he speaks, it isnât what youâre expecting.
âYou care about them, the creatures out there,â he states, like it isnât a question, something almost wistful in his voice. He turns back to you.
âIâ why wouldnât I care?â you ask confused at his strange manner, and this time when he frowns deeper, its at you, though not displeasure you note, more like he canât quite figure you out. It confuses you more. You werenât all that complicated, at least youâd never felt particularly complicated.
He stares at you again, though he seems to be at a loss for words, like he doesnât know how to respond, but you decide to put him out of his misery.
âIf youâre worried about Khan, I could introduce you?â you say, seemingly throwing him completely off guard, and distracting him from his uncertainty.
âExcuse me?â
âKhan, the tiger shark. I could introduce you. Heâs really sweet.â
That makes him almost blanch, and he blinks at you like youâve lost your mind. You canât help but let out a laugh.
âAre you laughing at me for being reticent about an âintroductionâ to a wild tiger shark?!â Orm sputters, and although you put a hand over your mouth, you canât stop the giggles that continue to bubble out of you.
âHeâs very friendly!â you say in your defence. Orm raises a single eyebrow at you.
âOh, Iâm certain he is,â he bristles, making you laugh once more.
You donât notice how his face seems to soften, but you settle yourself down as he glances back out at the ocean.
âPerhaps another time,â he tells you gently. You raise both hands to assure him no offence is taken, and begin making your way further down the dock to your boat.
âIâm going to change and set off, before it gets much rougher out there,â you tell him, watching him nod as you siddle up to both him and your swaying boat. You prepare yourself to step out to it, but before you can, a large strong hand shifts into your vision, and you look up at its owner, blinking in surprise.
Feeling nervous for no other reason than a handsome stranger has offered you his gentlemanly help, your face flushes as you accept it, placing your hand in his and letting him steady you as you step down into your dingey. He doesnât let go right away, and youanxiously look back up at him, almost questioningly. He lets go when he catches your eye, stepping back with his hands folded behind his back, and clears his throat.
âWe will look for your return,â he tells you.
Strangely, you get the feeling he means something else.
-
The rocks in the Archipelago provide enough cover for Orm to swim at a comfortable distance from you and remain hidden. If anyone were to ask, heâd say that he wouldnât normally do this, it wasnât like him to stick his nose in the business of humans, but since no one is asking, he isnât too proud to admit that heâs worried. He wants to think more of himself than that he's simply worried because he thinks youâre beautiful, and in truth, he does. It intrigues him that you have seemingly befriended a shark, intrigued him more that your job appeared to send you attending to something out in the ocean, and from what he can see now, it was⊠interesting to say the least.
Youâd changed into some kind of swimming suit, similar to what heâd seen other swimmers wear before, but unlike them, you seem to carry some kind of⊠device in your mouth. It was cylindrical in shape, and every so often bubbles would spout from it unexpectedly. It certainly doesnât seem to bother your companion, who he begrudgingly has to admit, is a rather docile, rather large tiger shark. Orm watches from a distance as it swims around you, occasionally bonking its face into your idle hands, at which point you smooth your hand over the top of its nose. You even occasionally seem to hold gently onto its dorsal fin, and let it lead you through the water. He can honestly say heâs never witnessed such a⊠a⊠friendship between a human and any sea life.
He knows he should leave after seeing youâre safe. But he canât bring himself to do it.
As you near the base of a nearby outcropping of rocks, Orm watches you unsheath a large, long knife from a strap on your thigh, and carefully, you swim lower, and begin cutting away at the kelp and seaweed that has grown all around it. Itâs only once a large patch has been cut away does he realise the overgrowth hides the entrance to some sort of cave. He wants to get nearer then, as only your legs become visible, but he holds back, in case you were to turn around and see him, but he finds himself pressed by other matters. Seemingly knowing heâs too large to fit, the shark, Khan, he reminds himself, swims a little further away from you, seemingly occupying himself until he begins to get nearer and nearer to Ormâs hiding place.
Ormâs eyes flash between where he can barely see you now and the shark, and decides the shark is the more immediate threat. Khan siddles up quite close, swimming laps back and forth right by him, and Orm gets the distinct impression heâs being eyed up, if not outright warned off.
âAway!â Orm tries to shoo him. âBack to your human,â he wills the creature, though the shark remains persistent, getting even closer. Orm isnât worried about attack, though he does wonder what you would think if your apparently docile friend were to attack a stranger seemingly out of nowhere.
Then, as if youâve called both their names, Orm and Khan both startle, and look towards the cave entrance, with Khan swimming off immediately. Perhaps that is what spurs Orm away from his hiding spot, perhaps itâs the unsettling sound of muffled panic, but soon enough he too is moving far closer than heâd ever intended, his stomach sinking somewhat as he hears the familiar sound of something dropping to the ocean floor.
A fish, a large one he has no mind to name in that instance, swims hurriedly and suddenly out of the mouth of the underwater cave, and Orm presses himself back some to allow its exit. Worry now consumes him once more, and without further thought, he swims forward, his eyes adjusting far better to the darkness than he knows you would. He finds you, hand raised to the back of your head, where the familiar sight of blood has begun to flow, staining the water around it red. You seem stricken otherwise, your body no longer swimming, and it's only when he realises your breathing apparatus has fallen from your mouth that he knows your injury is far worse than it might first appear.
Your body shakes, and if youâre conscious, you must only be barely cognisant of your surroundings, which is why Orm swims in closer, as you begin to drift down, unconcerned in your current state about the very real danger of drowning, but itâs no matter. He catches you in his arms, just as a spout of bubbles exit your lungs, and he knows he must get you back to the surface immediately.
He doesnât waste time fetching your equipment, nor the knife youâve dropped, he doesnât worry about your boat left out in the water, or the shark that trails him until he reaches the pier. Orm adjusts to the weight of holding you above water, climbing the rocks and thanking whatever the surface dwellers liked to thank when Tom comes jogging out of the house, concern and panic plastered on his face.
âShe hit her head, sheâs bleeding,â Orm informs him hurriedly, knowing that Tom will know what to do. The old man looks up at him questioningly, but seems to think better of it, quickly ushering him inside. His mother, upon seeing him and the unconsious woman he carries, all but drops her tea cup on the table, rising fast and disappearing into the kitchen.
You convulse in his arms and itâs all Orm can do not to drop you.
âOn the floor, put her on the floor!â Tom orders him, to which he obeys, gently laying you out on the living room floor where Tom pushes him aside once youâre flat. Orm watches in no small amount of concern as the olde rman begins pressing in hard on your chest in rhythm to his counting, before leaning down and placing his mouth over yours. Luckily, once heâs pulled away again, the water is dislodged from your lungs, and Tom quickly turns your head to one side as you splutter and cough.
Your eyes blink open briefly, and you croak out something no one can understand before the coughing takes you again and you try to raise your hand to clutch at your head. Tom stops you, and looks back to Orm again.
âHelp me set her on the couch.â
He does as asked, though now youâre no longer unconscious, you appear to shift and wiggle more, clearly pained, and Orm surprises himself when he sushes you softly. His mother returns, with a box of medical supplies, and Tom once again nudges Orm to the side once youâre settled.
âTom,â you rasp groggily, sounding panicked. âMy head,â you try to alert him, but Tom only hushes you, and pulls your hands away from your hair.
âItâs alright, Orm told us, just bear with me, alright? Iâll call your office.â
That seems to calm you somewhat, and you squeeze your eyes shut again.
âIs Khan alright? Heâll be worriedâŠâ you ask, sounding small and tired, and Orm almost lets out a laugh. Almost drowning in an underwater cave and you still have the mind to ask after the shark.
âHeâs fine, he let us know you needed help,â he says without thinking, and your eyes peel open once more, struggling to find and focus on him before you smile wrly.
âTold you he was friendly.â
Orm does laugh at that, feels the anxiety and worry in his body leave all at once knowing you were alright. Tom laughs too, but shushes you again, and looks over at him.
âCan you call the Marine Park Office? Itâs on the fridge,â he says, just as his mother steps around the couch and begins to inspect the back of your head, where Tom holds you up.
Orm hesitates, realising he doesnât wish to leave your side, but forces himself to hurry off and do as told. He has to stop himself listening in to his mother and Tomâs quiet conversation, in order not to ignite his worry again, and instead, after making a call out to the Marine Park Office, as awkward as he feels doing so, Orm dives back into the water.
Khan is right by the shallow waters, swimming back and forth in a manner Orm would describe as âstressedâ, and once the creature catches sight of him, he swims right over, slowing as he eyes Orm up.
âI donât know if you can understand me,â Orm says, feeling a little foolish speaking to a shark. âBut sheâs okay.â
Khan eyes him, continuing to swim in short laps, this time closer to him. Orm wouldnât know how to explain himself to anyone if they were watching, but something possesses him in that moment to reach out his hand. Khan turns his headband slows somewhat in his movements, but in a matter of seconds heâs making for Orm, before gently bonking his nose against his hand.
Orm finds himself laughing at the sheer absurdity of it, but he canât stop himself from going back for another pass, running his hand over Khanâs smooth head one more time before he fixes the creature with a business-like look.
âIâm going to collect her things. Would you care to join me?â he asks, and receives his reply in the form of the shark turning tail and making back for the small cave entrance some ways away. Orm is glad your boat is docked so nearby, heâd not explored these waters well enough yet to know where exactly heâd rescued you from, not in his sheer hurry to get you back to the surface.
Khan waits for him, once again swimming laps and circles around the small outcropping, and it doesnât take long for Orm to find your dropped knife and the device you used to breathe. He inspects it curiously, though itâs completely foreign to him and he tucks away his questions to hopefully ask you later. His other curiosity he finds he can sate for himself, and with your items in hand, he swims further into the curving cave structure, until he can swim no further, and finds instead a path up.
He isnât surprised you wished to clear the pathway into the grotto he finds, beautiful and natural as it is. He would never have guessed the rocky outcropping a few hundred feet from the edge of the pier would hold something so special, but as he pulls himself up onto the lip of the small standing area, Orm can see himself possibly spending more time here. The dark clouds outside are visible to him through a small opening at the top of the peaked ceiling, and he supposes on sunnier days they provide an amount of light, though the darkness doesnât bother him.
He wonders, idly, secretly, if perhaps, he may convince you at one time or another, to take him here yourself.
-
You wake with a splitting headache.
A sharp pain toward the back of your head makes you reach a hand out, but a warmer, more calloused one stops you.
âTom advised me that you shouldnât touch it,â a deep timber voice rolls over your thoughts, before you groggily realise it's not just in your mind, but in the room also. You squint your eyes open, and peer over at Orm who sits somewhat stiffly nearby. âLuckily it was not a bad cut, though judging from your unconsciousness, and need for sleep, it appears to me as though the blow to your head was worse,â he squints back at you, though you arenât sure heâs aware heâs doing it until his features seem to soften and he quickly snaps forward to help you adjust to sitting.
âThatâs no goodâŠâ you say redudantly, and look briefly around the familiar living room. Just hours ago you had been sat with Tom right here, and going over the same old information you always did when it approached tourist season. You almost feel foolish for all the attempts youâd made to assure both he and Orm that you would be fine on your afternoon swim. Thunder cracks overhead and you start, sitting up straighter and fixing your apparent lone companion with wide eyes.
âMy boat!â you say startled, but the blond man beside you calms you with a rather regal wave of his hand.
âIs already docked. I went back for it some time ago,â he tells you in a voice one might find condescending if you werenât so briefly panicked. Your worry subsides with his simple words and you blink up at him curiously.
âFirst you set it in the water, and then you fetch it from its anchoring? I can see why Tom keeps you around,â you joke, bringing a tight smile to the man's lips. He appears to be more focused in looking you over, his eyes darting over your form as if accessing for further injuries. âKhan didnât give you any trouble I assume? Iâll admit he can be a bit firghtening, but heâs reallyââ
ââ friendly. Yes, I experienced as much for myself,â he cuts you off, and you relax a little further.
âYou swam with him?â you ask, almost a little surprised, though given your accident, youâre not sure what else youâd have expected. Khan was a very loving creature, if heâd gone to get you help, his appearance by the docks instead of by your side clearly suggesting as much to Tom, and you have to guess Orm too, then you imagine he wouldnât have gone far in the time it took for Orm to also head back out to where youâd anchored your dingey.
âYes. I am not as eager as it appears you are to share waters with a creature such as Khan, but I am not afeard of it eitherâŠâ Orm states, though appears to pull back some, as if he thinks heâs said too much.
âI suppose that means I wonât have to introduce you next timeâŠâ you trail off, wondering when exactly you had planned on seeing this man again. He was handsome, certainly, but youâd met him only this afternoon. You suppose the fact that Tom vouched for him went a long way in your books, but beyond that, you feel as though youâve already grown fond of his odd mannerism, the way he spoke like a storybook prince of some stripe. He seemed out of place, and although clearly having learnt a lot about Lighthouse keeping, or at least enough to know about keeping watch, there was a manner to which he seemed to perform the duties like they are unfamiliar to him.
âI wouldnât say no to a formal introduction,â Orm responds after a beat of quiet. You smile at him, feeling nervous all of a sudden, though you arenât exactly sure why. The kitchen door opens then, and you both turn in unison to find Tom, and Arthurâs mother entering, shucking off their raincoats.
âGlad to see youâre still with us,â Tom exclaims, not bothering to remove his boots before heâs beelining toward you. Orm seems to shrink back, like heâs guilty of something, and you briefly catch a glimpse of his mother attempting to make further eye contact with him that he seems to avoid.
âYou canât get rid of me that easy,â you say with little conviction. Tom steps around the couch, but brushes a hand over your shoulders as he does.
âWe called your office, and I spoke with the nurse at the clinic in town⊠she thinks youâll be fine but asks that if you have any side effects, you head in⊠she also asked that you not drive yourself home.â
You groan, knowing its not the smartest idea anyway, but it made you feel more indebted.
âSo Iâll pick my car up in the morning?â you ask, already knowing there was no use in arguing. Tom nods.
âAnd Iâll pick you up for that too.â
You nod back at him, before rubbing at your eyes with your palms.
âI called your Pa, too,â Tom says more quietly, making you look up at him pleadingly.
âTell me you didnât really?â you ask, feeling like a teenager caught out drinking. Tom shrugs.
âIâd want to know,â he says by way of explanation. You huff out a grumble, and sit back against the cushions.
âHeâll only say itâs what I get for disrespecting the lighthouse keeper,â you say, though you know it's unfair. Tom chortles and pats your knee.
âWell maybe next time youâll think better of calling people old!â he says back. You groan again and squeeze your eyes shut.
âCâmon Gracie, let me get you home,â he says then, heaving himself up off the couch with a small amount of effort. Orm rises then too, and you notice he seems rather intent on lending you his hand to get up. You only hesitate for a second before you take it, feeling your face flush some, but you tactfully avoid looking at either Tom or Ormâs mother, instead focusing on the blond whoâd helped you, his grip firm. Embarrassingly, you get the sense the size of his arms or the broadness of his chest arenât simply for show, if the ease in which he lifts you is anything to go by.
âThank you,â you tell him softly, hoping he understands you mean to thank him for more than just this moment. He looks down at you seriously, and nods once.
âOf course,â comes his reply. You realise you still hold his hand in yours and release it, blinking rapidly as you clear your throat and turn away from him. Tom looks between you unsubtly, and you decide some distance might quell his medlesomeness.
âThank you for everything,â you say louder, turning to find Ormâs mother smiling kindly at you from the kitchen doorway.
âWeâll see you in the morning,â she says gently.
With your dry clothes having been retrieved from the trunk on your dingey by Orm (you assume), you only bother to place your jacket on before collecting the rest and following Tom out to his car.
Curiously, when you glance back at the house in the rearview mirror, you think you spot a man watching you go.

MASTERLIST
Walking through the crowded school hallway, you and Bebe laugh about the latest gossip circulating through the breath of students. The morning sun filters through the windows, casting a warm glow on the bustling students. Bebe tugs at your sleeve, pulling you closer as she recounts in detail each beat of how Dakota cheated on David.
You spent the whole summer anticipating the fall when you would be back in classes and bending over backwards to keep your grades up but now that it had finally rolled around, you missed summer and swore that you would be forever happy if it had been endless.
As you pass the lockers, you spot Kyle leaning against his, scrolling through his phone. Your heart skips a beat. It's been a couple months since you and Kyle started dating in secret, keeping your relationship hidden from friends and family. You liked to think you had kept the secret well, you had always been sneaky. It was your family you were worried about finding out, however, your friends have extremely large mouths a not a single thought they keep to themselves.Â
Bebe continues chatting away, unaware of your sudden distraction. You slow your pace, letting her words fade into the background as you focus on Kyle. When he looks up and catches your eye, a smile spreads across his face and that is enough to melt you like butter.
You glance at Bebe, who's now frowning and looking between you and Kyle with a puzzled expression.Â
"Hey, pretty princess," You say casually to Kyle, watching his smile drop immediately.
"What did you just say?" His eyebrows furrow and he's sure that he misheard you. He closes out of Hay Day momentarily to give his full attention to you.
"I said 'Hey, pretty princess',"Â
"Don't call me that," Kyle tells you with a straight face. You were well aware of how much pet names made him want to crawl out from under his skin and chug back drain cleaner. The most you had ever gotten out of him was the lone time he called you babe and immediately went back on it.Â
Your boyfriend telling you that pet names were annoying was a sure-fire way to make sure you call him every possible one you can think of "Okay, baby girl,"Â
As you walk past him with Bebe and towards that cafeteria you can feel his horrified gaze resting on your back. Moments later you can feel your phone buzz in your pocket.Â
New Message- ugly piece of shit (boyfriendâ€ïž)
ugly piece of shit (boyfriendâ€ïž): You're not funnyÂ

You glance back at Kyle and quickly stick up your middle finger even though he is now focused on his conversation with Stan. The two of you weave through the throngs of students, sidestepping backpacks carelessly left in the middle of the hallway and dodging the occasional elbow. The walls are plastered with colourful posters announcing upcoming events: a pep rally, a bake sale, and field hockey tryouts.Â
Bebe's voice rises above the din, drawing your attention back to her. She's talking about a new show she started watching, her excitement palpable. You smile, appreciating the way she can make even the most mundane topics seem fascinating. Her laughter rings out, a clear, bright sound that makes a few heads turn, but she doesn't seem to notice and if she had, she definitely didn't care.
"I swear to god, he looked like such an idiot," Bebe speaks animatedly "I think he's trying to go viral or something but he would only go viral for being so corny."Â
"Yeah?" You feed into the rant.
"Yeah," She confirms "He stood on his desk today and made Emmet film him while he yelled something in some language I don't know. Seriously, I don't think I've ever seen Mrs. Miller so mad." Her face lights up with recollection "Oh! Except for that time, Eric brought a flask into class. That was so weird."
As you near the cafeteria doors, the noise level increases. The cacophony of clattering trays raised voices, and the occasional shout creates a symphony of chaos that somehow feels comforting in its familiarity. You push through the double doors, the cool air from the cafeteria's industrial-strength air conditioning hitting you like a refreshing breeze.
Inside, the room is a sea of faces, some familiar, some not. You scan the room briefly, looking for a free table. Bebe tugs at your sleeve, pointing towards a spot where a little handful of your friends are sitting. You follow her lead, navigating through the maze of tables and chairs, finally reaching your destination.
The moment you sit down, Annie perks up "Did you hear about Dakota and David?"
"Yes!" Bebe almost jolts up, she leans toward Annie while you reach next to you and take a tater tot from Nichole's tray, if she was bothered by this act, she gave no indication. You weren't sure you were hungry enough to wait in the lunch line for subpar food that would be cold by the time to got back to the table.Â
Across the table, Red had a slice of pizza in one hand, her phone in the other, she didn't even look up when you sat down. She tended to have one foot in the real world and the other in her own realm.
"So, what's everyone doing this weekend?" Nichole asks, a small smile playing on her lips.
Before you can answer, Red casually says "Well, I'm sure she'll be hanging out with Kyle."
"Jeez, I feel like he's replacing me," Bebe mockingly pouts.Â
"Yeah, why are you guys so buddy-buddy lately?" Annie turns not just her attention to you but the rest of the group in addition.
"Because they're dating," Red still doesn't look up from her phone. While the group falls silent, she huffs a quiet chuckle at something in her feed.
You feel the air go still, the background noise fading into a dull hum as all eyes turn to you. Your heart pounds, and your mind races, desperately seeking an escape.Â
Bebe's eyebrows shoot up. "Kyle? You and Kyle are a thing?"
You force a laugh, shaking your head vigorously. "No, no, Red's just joking around."
Nichole leans in, her eyebrows drawn in skepticism. "I dunno, that didn't sound like a joke."
"Red, who told you that?" You look up at her with wide eyes, teeth grinding together in a wild smile that was supposed to mask the agitation that sparked in you.
"Tolkien, he said that Kyle told him after you guys kissed."
"What?" Nichole's eyes flicker between everyone at the table, trying to get a grasp on each girl's reaction.Â
"You didn't tell me," Bebe says, irritation clear in her voice. You knew this would be a topic she would dangle over your head.Â
"You didn't tell me either," Annie chimes in.Â
"Uh, because I'm not dating him," You can feel the panic rising, your cheeks burning with the effort to maintain your composure. "Seriously, guys, it's nothing. Kyle and I are just friends."
Bebe crosses her arms. "Friends, huh? I'm pretty sure friends don't usually kiss."
"I have kissed half of the people at this table," You counter "On gospel, we are not dating."
"You don't give a shit about the gospel. Let me see your phone," Annie snatches it from your hands, expecting to see Kyle on the lock screen but her face quickly contorts in confusion "Is that Jeff Bezos?"
With haste, you grab it from her "No, it's Murr from impractical jokers."
"Why is he your lock screen?"
"Mind your damn business," You answer with discomposure.Â
"So, you aren't dating but you did kiss him?" Nichole draws the conversation back to the original topic.
"Erm, no, gross," You say as convincingly as you could which wasn't very convincing at all. "I think he's super fucking ugly, he probably has at least two STDs."
âBull shit," Bebe says "You didn't deny kissing him like three seconds ago and you've liked him since July."
"JULY?" Annie asks, mouth slightly agape. "You didn't tell me any of this."
"So when did you kiss him?" Nichole presses.
"I didn't-
"She kissed him at Morgan's party," Red answers, putting her phone down and swallowing back the last of her crust.
You have a look of murder on your face "What the fuck."
"It's not a big deal," She shrugs "Someone once told me- eat a snack and drink some juice, you'll be alright."
"Who?" You ask.
"You did when I greened out."
"Right."
"So you did kiss him at Morgan's and you are dating?" Nichole interjects once again to cut to the facts rather than the banter surrounding it.
For a moment you hang in the air like you had paused time to think of an answer but truthfully your friends finding out about your relationship wasn't so detrimental and lying would only spiral into something far worse. "Yeah," You mutter "We're dating."
"Oh my god," Nichole splits into a grin "After all of those years of trying to kill him and complaining non-stop that he was ruining your life?"
"Yup," you say, awkwardly.
"That's really funny actually," Bebe's anger over the fact you kept this hidden was temporarily alleviated by your confirmation.Â
"Funny?" You ask. You didn't think your relationship was very funny.
"You have to admit it's funny," She shrugs, brushing a blonde curl away from her face "I was like 78% sure you were serious when you said you rather hang yourself than date him."
Nichole giggles, nudging you. "Was the rope too expensive?"
"No, I tried my best but it snapped," You say nonchalantly, trying to gain back some sort of composure.
It didn't take long for the little group to start shouting little quips to counter the last and ultimately leave you feeling annoyed and somewhat embarrassed as it seemed they would never let up with the teasing.Â
You catch a glimpse of Tolkien walking past your table, his usual confident stride carrying him through the crowded cafeteria. He was carrying an assortment of goodies from the vending machine and heading back to his table. It must've been irritation that propelled you out of your seat before you even realized what you were doing.
You weave through the tables, your steps quick and purposeful, until you're close enough to grab his arm. He turns, surprised, his eyes wide as he takes in your furious expression.
"Why did you tell Red I kissed Kyle?" you hiss, your voice low but sharp enough to cut through the noise. You pull him aside, away from prying eyes and ears, and the hum of the cafeteria fades into the background.
His eyebrows furrow "Are you guys not dating? I'm confused."
"Yeah, but I wasn't going to tell people."
"What? Why?"
"Because the haters will pray on my downfall." you snap, your voice rising despite your efforts to keep it down.
"What the fuck are you talking about?" He glances around nervously, clearly uncomfortable with your intensity.
"The haters," You reiterate like it made your point any clearer.Â
"What haters? You're not a celebrity." One of the mini chip bags in his arms shifts and he fumbles around to be sure it doesn't hit the ground.Â
"Be alert..."Â
"What does that mean?"Â
"Of the haters," You add.
"Oh my god," He mutters fighting the urge to roll his eyes "I don't know why you're chewing me out when Kyle's the one who told me. Take it up with him.â
That's exactly what you would do. Take it up with him.Â
.Ëê©Â°Ë:*àż âŒ àż*:Ë°ê©Ë.
While you had every intention of chewing Kyle out for letting the secret slip, things played out slightly differently. You're sprawled out on your bed, your textbooks and notes abandoned in a haphazard pile. Kyle's fingers trail up your arm, leaving a tingling path in their wake. His lips are warm and insistent against yours, and you lose yourself in the softness of his kiss.
Kyle's hand cradles the back of your neck, his touch both tender and firm, guiding you closer. Your hands are tangled in his hair, the soft strands slipping through your fingers as you pull him even nearer. The faint scent of his cologne mixes with the aroma of the burning passionfruit candle, creating a heady blend that makes your heart race. Every brush of his lips sends sparks through you, and you can feel the warmth of his breath on your skin.
All that matters is the feel of Kyle's lips on yours, the way his hands hold you as if you're something precious, something to be cherished. His thumb brushes lightly against your jaw, a small, almost absent-minded gesture that sends another shiver through you. Every touch, every kiss, is filled with reverence that makes you feel all the more cherished.
You tilt your head slightly, deepening the kiss, your tongue tentatively meeting his. Kyle responds with a soft groan, a sound that reverberates through your body, heightening your senses. His hand tightens on your waist, pulling you even closer as if he can't get enough of you.
Your kisses grow more urgent and demanding. His lips trail from your mouth to your jawline, planting soft, lingering kisses along your skin. You can't help but tilt your head back, giving him better access, losing yourself in the sensation of his mouth on your skin.
His kisses move to your neck, and you feel the warmth of his breath against your skin, sending another wave of shivers through you. He finds a particularly sensitive spot just below your ear, and when his lips brush against it, you let out a soft gasp, your fingers tightening in his hair.
"Kyle," you whisper, your voice breathless, filled with a mixture of need and adoration.
He pulls back slightly, his eyes meeting yours, and the intensity in his gaze makes your heart skip a beat. His hair is a mess, neck is littered with hickies that he would surely regret the next day when he would have to steal his mom's concealer to cover them up. He leans in, capturing your lips once more in a kiss that is both tender and passionate, a perfect blend that leaves you almost dizzy.Â
His large hands eventually snake their way up your shirt and trail up your midriff to your back. He finds the clasp on your back, pinching the hooks until the bra comes undone completely.Â
Kyle leans closer, his fingers brushing a stray hair from your face, and the touch sends a shiver down your spine. You want to freeze this moment, but reality crashes back in when you hear your dad's voice calling for you from the hallway. "Jellybean! Are you still home?" Panic seizes you, and your eyes widen as you scramble to sit up, pushing Kyle away from you.
Your dad was supposed to be at one of your neighbour's barbecues, but here he was- making his way upstairs and towards your bedroom.
"Kyle, hide!" you whisper urgently, your mind racing for a solution.
You glance around, jumping to your feet and awkwardly trying to rehook your bra. Your eyes settle on the closet and you push him towards it. It's a tight squeeze for someone as tall as Kyle, but there's no time to think. He ducks inside, and just as you're about to close the door, he accidentally bonks his head against the top of the frame. The sound is a dull thud, and he stifles a groan of pain.
"Yeah, I'm home!" You call back to your dad, grabbing Kyle's scattered things from the bed and shoving them beneath it.Â
Your dad's footsteps draw closer, and you throw yourself back onto the bed, grabbing your phone to feign nonchalance. The door creaks open, and your dad peeks in, his eyes scanning the room.
"Hey, Jellybean," He smiles, leaning against the doorway.
"Hey," You try for a casual smile "Why are you home already?"
"I forgot to grab the t-shirts I made for Earl and the boys," He answers and you nod slowly, waiting for him to explain why he was in your bedroom. âOh," He fumbles around in his pocket for his phone and briefly taps around before turning the screen to face you "Is this you and Kyle?"
It's a photo of both yours and Kyle's faces that had been strung up on the wall of disallowed entry at the movie theatre. You had almost forgotten entirely of the day that you and he had gone to the theatre with the intention of watching a corny movie and ended up near a simple assault charge that you narrowly escaped.
You shake your head, trying to soothe the adrenaline that began pumping through you "Nope."
"Really?" Your dad furrows his eyebrows, looking at the picture again "It looks just like you two."
"Yeah, it does," You keep your voice as nonchalant as possible.
He holds the phone up in the air, looking back and forth from your face to the screen. After a moment of awkward silence, there's a thump from the closet and your dad looks up "What was that?"
"Eugene, he lives in the crawlspace," You answer, face dead serious.
Your dad shrugs and tucks his phone back into his pocket. "Dang. I outta get back before that brisket is done," He lets out a low whistle at the thought of a juicy slab of smoked meat.Â
"Okay, see ya," Relief finally washes over you as you try not to glance back toward the closet.Â
Just as he turns to leave he quickly swivels his head back to look at you "Oh, I meant to ask- why is Kyle's car in the driveway?"
"It's not."Â
"Oh," His eyebrows furrow for a moment as he thinks and then slowly, he nods "Okay." It was moments like these where it was definite he was Weston's father.Â
He leaves, and you let out a sigh of relief, your heart still pounding. You wait a few moments to make sure he's really gone and when you hear the front door click shut, you hurry over to the closet and open the door. Kyle steps out, rubbing his head where he must have bonked it on the closet ceiling. He's tall enough that the cramped space was clearly a tight fit.
You look at the little red spot on his hairline where he must've cracked his head against the frame and suck a breath through your teeth "Sorry."Â
"Ow," he mutters, frowning at you slightly. But then his eyes catch on something behind him, and his expression shifts from annoyed to confused. "Why do you have a Rubbermaid that says 'devious licks' in your closet?"
"Oh," You look past him at the bin and then a wide smile breaks over your face and you begin to laugh. You pull the bin out and kneel beside it as you take the lid off. Inside are little trinkets you've 'borrowed' from friends and family over the past few years. You can't help but giggle, finding the whole situation absurdly funny.
"Did you steal all of that?"
"It's just for fun," you say with a shrug, still chuckling. "When I get really mad at someone, I take something from them to inconvenience them." You begin to rifle through the bin, almost reminiscing about all of the things you had taken and the memories attached.Â
But Kyle doesn't laugh. In fact, his frown deepens, and he steps back, shaking his head. "That's not funny. It's stealing. That's a crime. What if someone realizes something important is missing?"
"That's kinda the point," You answer. The bin is filled with an assortment of items: a handful of pens, a couple of keychains, wallets, a pair of sunglasses, and various other small objects you've filched over time from more people than you could even recall.
Kyle bends down, his hair still messy from your fingers slipping through it "What is this?" He picks up a long silver necklace with a large pendant dangling from the bottom "Is this a coke necklace?"
You laugh slightly "Those are Mr. Tennorman's ashes."
"WHAT?" He drops it, instinctively wiping his hands on his pants. "You stole someone's ashes?"
"Yup," You say nonchalantly, still digging through the belongings "It's just Cartman's dad."Â
He looks back down, the glimmer of something bronze catching his eye. Immediately, he snatches it from the bin and inspects it, eyes growing wide with horror "Is this my grandpa's holocaust ring?"
You pause, slowly looking up at him "I didn't know it was a holocaust ring at the time."Â
"When did you take this?" His voice was beginning to rise and the agitation was unmissable.Â
You stop laughing, the light mood evaporating in an instant. You hadn't expected him to react like this. You thought he might find it as amusing as you did. Instead, he's staring at you with a mix of disappointment and anger that makes your stomach twist uncomfortably. "Two years ago when you and Stan were making fun of me after I lost that goal at my soccer game."Â
Kyle sighs, running a hand through his hair. He is trying his best to keep his cool, but the pool of misdemeanours below him isn't helping in the slightest. Kyle takes a deep breath in an attempt to sort this through without yelling at you "What's the last thing you've stolen."Â
You look around for a moment before holding up a bottle of liquor "I took it last week."
"Oh god," He mutters.
"What? Is it bad?"
"That's a three thousand dollar bottle of tequila," His jaw is clenched and for a moment you think he might burst a vein in his head.Â
"Dang, that's expensive," You suck a sharp breath through your teethÂ
"You should've thought about that before you stole it."
You shrug "Well, I didn't."Â
"That's it?" He asks.
"What?"
"You don't care?"Â
"What the hell are you talking about?" You furrow your eyebrows.
"This!" He gestures at the Rubbermaid before dropping to his knees, sifting through the contents "Wallets, wedding rings, perfume, the fucking ornament I made when I was eight," Looking down, he was struck with the realisation that a large sum of the trinkets in the bin had been his at one point or another. "You really don't care that you took all of this?"
"It already happened," You say.
Kyle holds up a familiar scarf, one you remember swiping from a girl in your study group. His eyes narrow as he turns to face you. "What the hell is this?" His voice is low, a storm brewing beneath the surface.
You roll your eyes, trying to laugh it off. "Oh, come on, it's fun. No one even notices."
Kyle's eyes flash with anger. "Fun? You think stealing is fun?" His voice rises, each word punctuated by his growing fury. He steps closer, and you can see the tension in his jaw, the way his fists clench at his sides.
You start to feel the edges of your amusement crumble, replaced by a prickling unease. "Kyle, calm down. It's not that big of a deal," you say, your voice quieter now, trying to soothe the situation.
But he's not having it. "Not a big deal? This is serious! What's wrong with you?" His voice is loud now, filling the room, and echoing off the walls. He's yelling, and it hits you like a bullet to the skull.
You shrink back, your laughter dying on your lips. The air feels heavy, pressing down on you, making it hard to breathe. You look away, staring at the pattern on the bedspread, tracing the lines with your eyes, anything to avoid his piercing gaze.
Silence falls, thick and oppressive. Kyle's breathing is heavy, ragged, as he stands there, waiting for you to say something, to explain. But you can't find the words. They're stuck in your throat, tangled up with your fear and shame. You bite your lip, the taste of copper filling your mouth.
Finally, Kyle lets out a frustrated sigh. "I just-" He pauses "I don't get you," he mutters, turning away, his shoulders slumping. He walks back to the bed and sits down heavily, the mattress sinking under his weight. The music is still playing, the songs flickering by, unnoticed.
You sit in silence, the stolen items now a glaring reminder of your actions, of the chasm that has suddenly opened up between you and Kyle. You want to reach out, to bridge the gap, but you don't know how. So you sit there, quiet and still like you're in a crime scene.
.Ëê©Â°Ë:*àż âŒ àż*:Ë°ê©Ë.
You spent hours getting ready, meticulously styling your hair, and carefully applying your makeup. You chose your favourite dress, a soft, flowing fabric that makes you feel beautiful and confident. The anticipation is almost unbearable, your heart thumping with excitement.Â
You're standing in front of the mirror, adjusting the delicate chain of your necklace, the pendant resting just below your collarbone. Your reflection shows a girl who has taken extra care tonight to be sure her makeup is flawless, a hint of highlighter accentuating your cheekbones, and your lips painted with a soft gloss. Your dress, a soft shade of blue that brings out the colour in your eyes, fits perfectly, swaying gently as you move. You've been looking forward to this date with Kyle all week.
The sound of a car horn outside snaps you out of your reverie. You grab your clutch, giving yourself one last glance in the mirror before heading downstairs. The evening air is warm, a gentle breeze rustling the leaves of the trees lining your street. Kyle is waiting by his car, leaning casually against the door, a small smile playing on his lips as he sees you approach. He looks effortlessly handsome, his ginger hair tousled just right, and his eyes sparkling in the fading light.
"You look beautiful," he says, his voice warm and genuine as he opens the car door for you.
"Thank you," you reply, feeling a blush creep up your neck. "You did your hair all nice for me."
As you settle into the passenger seat, Kyle walks around to the driver's side, sliding in with an easy grace. The car starts with a soft purr, and soon you're driving through the familiar streets of your neighbourhood, the anticipation of the evening making your heart flutter. You chat about your day, the conversation flowing easily, but as the drive continues, you notice Kyle taking turns that lead away from the downtown restaurants and cafes.
The drive starts off light and cheerful. You talk animatedly about a new café you've heard about, suggesting it as a possible destination for a study session. Kyle nods and smiles, his responses a bit more subdued than usual, but you brush it off, attributing it to the lingering tension.
As you continue to chat, you start to notice the route Kyle is taking. It's not towards any of your usual spots. The streets become less familiar, and your excitement starts to wane, replaced by a creeping confusion. "Where are we going?" you ask, trying to keep your tone light and playful, though a hint of unease slips through.
Kyle doesn't answer right away, his grip on the steering wheel tightening. "It's a surprise," he finally says, but there's something in his voice that makes your stomach twist.
There's a part of you that thinks he's preparing to drive the both of you off of a bridge or dump your body off the interstate from his rigid posture alone.Â
You try to guess, throwing out suggestions, but each one is met with a noncommittal hum. The unease grows, gnawing at your excitement. When he finally pulls into the parking lot of the community center, your confusion peaks. "Kyle, what are we doing here?" you ask, your voice a mix of curiosity and apprehension.
He turns off the engine and looks at you, his eyes soft but determined. He reaches out and takes your hand, his touch warm and firm. "I need you to trust me," he says, his voice gentle. He gets out of the car and comes around to open your door, helping you out.
Holding your hand, he leads you inside, the fluorescent lights of the community center casting a sterile glow. Your heart pounds in your chest as you walk down a hallway, past bulletin boards covered in flyers for various local events and activities.
He stops in front of a door with a whiteboard nailed into the wall next to it that reads 'Shoplifters Anonymous Meeting' in purple dry-erase. Your heart drops, and you look at him, your eyes wide with shock. "Kyle, what is this?" you whisper, the words barely escaping your lips.
Kyle squeezes your hand gently, his expression deadly serious. "I know you don't think it's a big deal, but it is. You need help and they can give you that." He nods his head to the room.Â
Tears prick at the corners of your eyes. You open your mouth to argue, to tell him that you don't need this, but the words fail you, something you weren't used to. Truly, you were speechless.Â
He creaks the door open, one hand on the small of your back as he guides you inside. "I'll pick you up in an hour," he says softly, leaning in to kiss your forehead. His lips are warm, a stark contrast to the cold shock that has settled in your chest. "Please, just give it a chance."
Before you can protest, he turns and walks away, leaving you standing in the hallway. The door to the meeting room looms in front of you, and you feel like you're rooted to the spot. The reality of the situation crashes over you in waves. Kyle has seen through your facade, past the laughter and the dismissive jokes, to the part of you that you've tried to ignore.
The meeting room is small and somewhat stuffy, the air thick with a mix of various perfumes and colognes. Folding chairs are arranged in a circle, and as you sit down, the cold metal presses into your back, making you shift uncomfortably. Your heart still pounds from the shock of Kyle's ambush, anger bubbling just beneath the surface.
The leader of the group, a middle-aged woman with kind eyes, starts speaking, welcoming everyone. Her voice is calm and soothing, but it grates on your nerves. You clench your fists in your lap, trying to steady your breathing. You don't belong here. This isn't you.
The others begin to share their stories, each one more heart-wrenching than the last. You listen, but the words barely register. Your mind is racing, a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions. You're furious with Kyle for bringing you here, for thinking you needed this.Â
God, you felt like an idiot. You had spent so long getting ready, wearing a pretty dress for your boyfriend just to be shoved in a room with thieves.Â
The leader, Ellen, scans the room, and you feel a prick of anxiety as they land on you. "We have a new member today," she says, her voice warm but firm. "Would you like to introduce yourself?"
Your heart pounds in your chest, and you can feel the eyes of the other attendees on you, their curiosity palpable. "I'm not a shoplifter," you say entirely too fast. You werenât wrong, you were in fact- not a shoplifter though it wasnât far off from a kleptomaniac which you definitely were.
"That's okay. Not everyone here is a shoplifter either,â Ellen speaks softly "Would you mind telling us why you're here if you're comfortable?"
"I'm just here to observe," you say quickly, hoping to deflect the attention. "I don't really have anything to share."
Ellen nods, but her gaze remains steady, unyielding. "That's okay. We're glad you're here. Can you tell us a little about why you're observing?"
You bristle at the question, feeling cornered. "My boyfriend thought it would be a good idea," you reply, trying to keep your tone light, and dismissive.Â
"Why would he think that?"
"He thinks that I have a problem."Â
The room is silent, the air thick with unspoken questions. Ellen doesn't let you off the hook. "What kind of problem does he think you have?"
You fidget with the hem of your dress, your fingers twisting the fabric. "He thinks I steal things," you say reluctantly, your voice barely above a whisper. "And I do, but not from stores. It's just some little things from other people."
Ellen's eyes soften, but her expression remains serious. "Stealing, even in small amounts, can be a sign of deeper issues. It's good that you're here, whether you think it's a big deal or not. What kind of things have you taken?"
You feel a surge of anger, a burning frustration that makes you want to lash out. "I don't see why it matters," you snap, your voice louder than you intended.Â
Ellen nods, absorbing your words with a calm patience that only fuels your irritation. "Sometimes, we take things to fill a void or cope with stress. Have you thought about why you might be doing it?"
You cross your arms over your chest, your posture is defensive. "I don't know," you say, looking away. "It's not that deep."
"Okay, maybe you'll be more comfortable sharing next time." You didn't intend for there to be a next time.Â
The group seems to move on quickly and you wander away from all conversation, finding a nice spot to settle inside your thoughts. It had been years since you felt like this much of a fool. It was about halfway through the meeting when you couldn't take it anymore.Â
You push open the door and step into the hallway, the cool air a welcome relief from the stifling room. You make a beeline for the exit. The need for a cigarette is overwhelming, a desperate craving that you can't ignore. Outside, the late day sun is almost gone entirely as night begins to swallow up the sky, making you squint as you search through your bag for your lighter. Panic sets in when you realize it's not there; you must have left it in Kyle's car.
A string of curses escapes your lips as you look around frantically. Your eyes land on a purse left carelessly on a bench in the hallway. Without thinking, you reach in and pull out a lighter, the metal cool and smooth in your hand. The irony isn't lost on you, but you're too angry and desperate to care.
You step outside and light a cigarette, the first drag calming your nerves slightly. You start to walk, the rhythm of your steps a temporary distraction from the chaos in your mind. The smoke curls around you, a familiar comfort, but today it feels different, tainted by the bitter taste of your emotions.
Tears sting at your eyes, and you angrily wipe them away, but they keep coming, blurring your vision. You're furious with Kyle for putting you in this position, and for forcing you to face something you're not ready to confront. But as you walk, the anger shifts, turning inward.
You hate yourself for your bad habits, for the stealing, for the smoking. Each puff of the cigarette feels like a failure, a reminder of all the ways you've let yourself down. The tears flow more freely now, and you don't bother to stop them. You walk faster, trying to outrun the feelings, but they cling to you, weighing you down.
The familiar streets blur as you walk, and you're not sure where you're going. You just need to move, to keep going, to do something, anything to escape the overwhelming tide of emotions. But it's no use. The guilt and shame, the anger and bitterness, they all crash over you, a relentless wave that you can't fight.
You come to a stop, your legs shaking, your breath coming in ragged gasps. The cigarette burns down to the filter, and you drop it, grinding it into the pavement with the heel of your shoe. You wrap your arms around yourself, trying to hold on, to keep from falling apart completely.
You've walked for what feels like an eternity, the community center far behind you. Each inhalation a struggle against the sobs threatening to escape. The cigarette you discarded lies crushed on the pavement and you think about lightning another.
Suddenly, the sound of a car pulling up beside you breaks through the haze. You glance over, your heart skipping a beat when you see Kyle's familiar car. The window rolls down, and there he is, his eyes wide with concern.
"Hey," he calls out, his voice a mix of worry and relief. "What are you doing?"
You shake your head, biting the inside of your cheek to fight the sob you desperately want to let out. "Just stop."Â
His eyebrows furrow and then he gets a good look at your face and the realization strikes him like a wave of guilt "Are you crying?"Â
"Fuck off," You answer, turning away from him and continuing to walk.Â
"Shit," He mutters, quickly emerging from his car.Â
You stop walking, your body trembling with a mix of exhaustion and emotion. You try to speak, but the words catch in your throat, choked by the tears. Instead, you just stand there, looking at him, your face a mess of smeared makeup and raw emotion.
Kyle gets out of the car and walks over to you, his movements hesitant, as if he's not sure how to approach. When he reaches you, he gently takes your hands in his, his touch warm and grounding. "What happened?" he asks softly, his eyes searching yours for answers.
You finally find your voice, though it's weak and shaky. "I couldn't stay," you manage to say, flat. "I couldn't do it. It was too much."Â
Quickly you retract your hands from Kyle's, looking at him with a fury he hadn't seen in ages.Â
"How could you do this to me, Kyle?" you yell, your voice cracking with a mix of rage and tears. "How could you ambush me like that?"
Kyle stops in his tracks, his eyes wide with shock. "I was trying to helpâ"
"Help?" you cut him off, your voice rising. "You think dragging me to some meeting with strangers was helping? You blindsided me! You embarrassed me!"
He steps towards you, his expression pleading. "I didn't know what else to do. I'm worried about you."
Your chest heaves with each breath, the tears flowing freely now, hot and relentless. "You think I don't know what I'm doing is bad?" you shout, your voice trembling with the weight of your emotions. "It isn't easy for me, Kyle!"Â
He looks at you, his eyes filled with pain and helplessness. "I just want to help you," he says quietly. "I don't know what else to do."
Kyle reaches out, but you step back, shaking your head. "It's a fucking compulsion, I've been doing it for ages, you can't fix it in a single meeting."Â
Kyle's shoulders slump, and he takes a deep breath. "I'm sorry," he says, his voice barely above a whisper. "I didn't mean to hurt you. I just don't want to see you destroy yourself."
"Kyle," You draw out "You're smart so tell me why the hell you thought that would be a good idea? Because you're no prize either."Â
Kyle's expression shifts to one of deep sadness, his hands dropping to his sides. "I get that it's hard," he says softly, his eyes locking onto yours. "But running away from the no problem isn't going to solve it. You need help, and I thought that meeting could be a start."
You laugh, a harsh, bitter sound that cuts through the night air. "That was the furthest thing from help. It felt more like a fucking beartrap. You didn't even ask me how I felt about it, you didn't even bring it up again. You just dumped me there and expected me to be okay with it."
Kyle's jaw tightens, and he takes a deep breath, struggling to keep his composure. "I'm sorry if it felt like that," he says, his voice strained. "But I didn't know what else to do. I'm terrified of losing you to this. What if you get caught?"
Your heart aches at his words, but the anger still burns bright. "You don't understand," you say, your voice cracking. "I'm scared too. Scared that I'll never be able to stop. But you tricked me, you lied to me."
Kyle's face flushes with frustration, his eyes darkening. "I was desperate! Do you think it's easy for me to watch you self-destruct? To see you steal and smoke and hurt yourself over and over again?"
"Don't you dare make this about you," you snap, your hands trembling with anger. "You don't get it, Kyle."Â
Kyle takes a step closer, his jaw set. "I'm trying to help you, but you keep pushing me away. You act like I'm the enemy when all I want is to see you get better. Why can't you see that?"
Your chest heaves with each ragged breath, the tears burning in your eyes. "Because it doesn't feel like help! It just doesn't, can you get that in your fucking head? Why are you trying to fix me?"
"I'm not trying to fix you. We can't fix each other but we can help and that's all I want to do," His gaze softens "Just tell me what to do," he says, his voice cracking under the weight of his emotions.
The words hang in the air between you, and for a moment, everything feels suspended in time. You don't know what to do. The intensity of it all crashes over you like a wave, and you find yourself struggling to breathe.
You open your mouth to speak, but no words come out. Instead, a sob escapes, raw and broken. The anger that had fueled you moments ago dissipates, leaving behind a profound sense of helplessness. Your shoulders shake as the sobs come harder, your vision blurring with tears. You don't have the answers Kyle is looking for; you don't even have the answers for yourself.
Kyle's face softens, his expression shifting from frustration to concern and heartbreak. "Hey, hey," he murmurs, taking a step towards you. "It's okay."
It's not okay. Nothing feels okay. You're overwhelmed by the realization that you're spiralling, and if you don't find a way to get help, it's only going to get worse. You knew it was getting bad when you couldn't even run a mile without coughing up your lungs.
As the sobs wrack your body, you feel your knees weaken. You take an unsteady step toward Kyle, and he immediately closes the distance, pulling you into his arms. The moment you feel his embrace, the dam truly breaks. You collapse into him, your fingers clutching at his shirt as if he's the only thing keeping you from drowning.
"I don't know what to do," you whisper between sobs, your voice barely audible.Â
His arms tighten around you, one hand gently cradling the back of your head. "We'll figure it out," he says softly, his voice thick with emotion.
You bury your face in his chest, the sobs continuing to pour out of you, each one tearing at your heart. You feel a mix of shame and relief, the two emotions intertwining in a confusing dance. Shame because you're admitting, finally, that you need help. Relief because, at this moment, Kyle's arms around you make you feel less alone, less lost.
You made a decision in your mind, after months of back and forth with yourself "That was my last cigarette," You sniffle "Ever." It was far from your last in truth but still proved to be a pivotal moment in your life.

We've entered into the secon half of the series and an end to the torture is nowhere in sight. What is in sight however is gay shit so let's talk about it.
1
Let's get the biggest thing out of the way first. The show was very clearly asking us to draw a parallel between Home and Peach, and Phoom and Vicha. You know, actual, explicitly in gay love couple Phoom and Vicha.
Their story obviously resonates a lot for our boys. Here is Dr. Phoom, a man who - is kind of responsible for the death of the man he loved - had somewhat moved on with his life only to find out later that said man he loved had died because of him - is here now, even later still, to apologise for that to the man who died. If that's not something Home can relate to, I don't know what is. On the other side we have Vicha, who - was abandoned and left to die by the man he loved - was unable to hear that mans explanation because of his interfering family, that was more worried about reputation than his happiness, and because he was in the moment too overwhelmed by the betrayal to give him a chance to explain. Which clearly mirrors Peach's story. (Thers's also the parallel of the class difference as Phoom seems to be at least middle, likely upper middle class by birth while Vicha seems to have lived at the dance school which would imply him to be the instructor's son or an orphan/otherwise family-less kid the instructer took in. Either way he was certainly not rich.) (And I guess Vicha knowing more about cooking than Phoom is also a parallel and also another indication of their different economic backgrounds.)
Dr. Phoom apologises for not being brave enough to tell Vicha what he wanted to tell him (which was also Home's problem)
And then Dr. Phoom finds out Vicha finally heard his apology but he's still sticking around and he says that's enough for him which prompts Home to look at Peach (again) because that is kind of what he hopes for. That he gets to properly apologise to Peach and that Peach will still be around afterwards.
Just like Dr. Poom he doesn't want to exocise his ghost, he wants to talk to him.
2
Home fully acknowledges Pangpang as his baby sister (in law) in his contacts.
3
Pangpang's viewers are devastated at their ship having sunk.
4
They're being annoying talking by way of Pangpang even though they stand right next to each other. Which is also a classic trope for fighting couples (though it does admittedly also get used for friends sometimes)
5
Fully adult man Dr. Phoom knows a lover's quarrel when he sees one.
6
Peach knows that to facilitate communication between two lovers he needs to at least somewhat communicate with his own.
7
For some reason their solution is to cosplay as dance students. And then they, of course, proceed to look at each other while making the "love" gesture.
We had previously seen Vicha do the same.
Looking at them doing that prompted Dr. Phoom to think of his own young love. He has definitely clocked what's going on here (though obviously he has more important things to worry about than some strangers relationship problems)
8
Now this is certainly not something you'd say if the end goal was friendship
9
Peach is using the same pic for Home's contact as Home is using for his, just zoomed in on a different place. And he has Home saved as DANGER DO NOT ANSWER! They're so annoying.
10
Pangpang is very happy her parents might be getting back together
11
Meanwhile Home is sitting at a bar, crying about calling Peach like he got dumped. (Which he did. For good reason.)
12
We've seen so far that the ghosts are very limited. They are not fully concious and aware beings, rather they are "caught" in their desires at the moment of their death, they pretty much move solely with the goal of fulfilling their last wish. More like a broken record stuck in a loop than a living being that has multiple options to act and react to whatever happens around it.
It is noteworthy therefore that Home's ghost continued his journey to Peach as that makes this his biggest desire at the moment he fell into a coma.
Unfortunately it seems that he can't speak. Although Peach wouldn't be able to hear him anyway, so maybe all he wanted was to see Peach one more time. We'll see next episode how similar or not Home's ghost is to the others since Home is not completely dead. For now the biggest difference is that he still looks normal.
No Lesbian Corner this week because they didn't interact. Kan was gone being shady for most of the episode.
#peaceful property#peaceful property the series#poor peach really can't catch a break#first he finds out his bf was responsible for his death and subsequent debilitating ability to see ghosts#then he gets to a point where he belives that his bf is truly sorry about that and is willing to give him another chance#only to find out he was in a car crash on his way to see him and is very close to death himself#and now he has to help clear his name and try to safe his life#not knowing if they will succed or if Peach will never get to hear Home's apology#dome is happily posting memes by fans calling him a villain and i'm inclined to agree#all of this is evil. and i absolutely love it#the question is: when will i finally get to enjoy an ep of this show without having my heart sink into my stomach at the end again?

By your side- Jude Bellingham
I thought I had my life together I was engaged, planning a wedding and had just found out I was pregnant everything seemed so perfect. I don't know how it all went wrong so quickly I just came home from work to be greeted with a note from my fiancĂ© saying he was leaving me because he had been cheating and felt he was more in love with the other woman. He was so kind to let me have the house that I bought and only took his things from it although he did leave the place in a mess doing so. To start with I didn't feel anything as I was so in shock but once it sunk in I haven't stopped crying. Luckily finances aren't a worry for me as I make a good amount of money so I can continue to pay all the bills and can afford everything for the baby but having no support has been hard especially because no one knows I'm pregnant as I'm still quite early on.Â
All of this happened Friday so I haven't been back into work yet and I know I should probably take some time off to figure things out and give myself time to work through my feelings but I need the distraction I can't wallow in self pity anymore. Luckily today I just have a lot of paperwork to do so I'll be in my office just getting on with things not talking to the players who would definitely ask questions as to why I'm not wearing my ring. Something I didn't account for out of pure stupidity is all my co workers as soon as I arrived they asked about my weekend just to be nice but just being reminded of everything that happened hurt. One then asked where my ring was as I never take it off and I had to just lie and say I took it off for something and forgot to put it back on all while trying to hold back tears.Â
When I was finally in the confines off my office I couldn't hold back the tears anymore my whole world has been turned upside down and here I am trying to act like everything is normal which is so much harder than I thought. Even my office still portrays my perfect life my pc background is of me and my ex fiancĂ© and I have so many pictures of us throughout my office. In my desk draw I even have an ultrasound picture from my first ultrasound which made me think about the fact that my baby has to grow up without a dad which I was so against for my own kids as I know the struggle.Â
As I was sobbing I thought I heard a knock at my office door but no one said anything so I just kept crying until I felt a hand on my shoulder which scared the living daylights out of me. Part of me wanted to punch whoever or whatever was behind me but instead I just jumped back and turned around at the speed of light. My soul came back into my body when I realised that it was just Jude although I still kind of wanted to punch him for scaring me so badly. That's when it hit me that Jude had just seen me crying my eyes out and I have to explain why I was so upset which only made me cry again thinking about it. Jude knelt down in front of me and tried to wipe my tears as they fell but he couldn't keep up so instead he tried comforting me to stop the tears altogether.Â
It took a while but eventually I had no more tears left to cry and I was forced to try and regulate my breathing again. As I tried calming myself down my morning sickness kicked in at full force and my options were throw up all over Jude or try and make to to the bathroom so I picked the second option and ran towards the bathroom. I made it just in time and apparently so did Jude as I felt him gather my hair and hold it back while rubbing my back. He must think I'm insane as I've just cried in front of him for 20 minutes now I'm throwing up but his opinion of me is the least of my worries right now.Â
"Are you ok?" Jude asked once I had stopped throwing upÂ
"Yeah I'm fine" I liedÂ
"Whats wrong and before you tell me there's nothing wrong I know there is no one cries that much for no reason" Jude saidÂ
"I'm just going through a hard time" I saidÂ
"Look you don't have to tell me but it might help to get things off your chest plus I promise I won't tell anyone" he saidÂ
"Ok but be prepared it's a lot" I saidÂ
"Friday night when I got home my fiancĂ© left me a note saying he was leaving me for another woman that he'd been cheating on my with for nearly a year and to top it all off I'm 10 weeks pregnant with our baby" I explainedÂ
"Oh wow that is a lot" he commentedÂ
"I knew I shouldn't have said anything I'm sorry" I said suddenly feeling insecureÂ
"No no I don't mean it like that I just wasn't expecting you to be holding onto so much I don't know how you are even here right now I'd be wallowing in bed" Jude said which made me smileÂ
"Look I know we aren't extremely close but you confided in me and as long as you'll let me I want to be there to support you with anything you need and I mean anything if you need a shoulder to cry on I'll be there and if you want someone to beat up your ex I'm on it" he said completely seriouslyÂ
"Thank you your support would mean a lot just don't tell anyone at least not right now" I saidÂ
"You got it I won't utter a word to anyone else until you are ready" he said miming zipping his mouth
~~~~~~~~~~
3 months laterÂ
The last few months have been difficult but Jude has made my life so much easier. Every day after training he comes to my office usually with a snack of some form and just sits and talks with me as I work. He also gave me his number so anytime I need to talk I can call him or text him and he'll be right over no matter the time. He's been more caring and supportive in the last few months than my ex ever was throughout our whole relationship. I've come to realise that maybe this situation isn't all bad as if none of this had happened I'd still be with my ex settling for what I know now was a shitty relationship at best. He never cared for me he was just there and did what was necessary to stop me leaving but Jude has taught me that I deserve better as even though we are just friends I've enjoyed his company way more than my ex's.
Not only has Jude been there for me emotionally he has been physically present when I need him. He has come to some baby appointments with me he is too busy to make them all but he tries to be there as often as he can. The first time he came he didn't come in with me he just waited outside for me but the second time I let him come in and since then if he can make it he always comes in with me. It has been nice having someone else with me to keep me calm as they check that the baby is developing as they should be and having someone else there when I found out the gender was nice too. I think Jude was more excited than I was to find out I was having a girl I went sure if I wanted to find out but Jude convinced me as he wanted to plan an on theme baby shower for me so that I had some good memories of this pregnancy.
Today is the day of the baby shower and I haven't had to lift a finger Jude and some of the other boys have planned it all and are setting up. The party isn't even being hosted at my place Jude said he'd set everything up at his and he promised to pick me up so I'm literally doing nothing other than turning up. My morning was so relaxing I was able to spend as much time as I wanted getting ready doing my hair and makeup all nice and putting on my dress which I got when out with some friends as they insisted that I looked too good not to buy it. For the first time in a while I actually felt really good, pregnancy has been really hard on my self confidence but I must admit that I look good all done up.Â
Jude arrived right on time to pick me up and he even brought me a cupcake in case I was hungry which at this point in my pregnancy I pretty much always am. When we arrived Jude made me close my eyes and led me all the way through his house back outside to the garden where I opened my eyes to see everyone already there and everything decorated perfectly. I nearly cried seeing everyone there for me I've felt so alone and like no one cares about me at times but knowing that they all took time out of their days to come here means so much to me. I made my way round and talked to everyone thanking them all for coming before Jude dragged me away and got me to sit next to a table which was stacked with gifts. Everyone had gotten me such lovely things and some essentials some of which I hadn't even thought about myself yet. Once I had opened everything from everyone Jude invited it was time to open the things he had gotten for me. He went completely overboard getting all sorts of really expensive items such as cribs, car seat, stroller he thought of it all.Â
"Thank you so much Jude you don't need to get me all this in fact you shouldn't have it's all so expensive" I saidÂ
"I wanted to you've had a hard time and you deserve nice things for the baby which I knew you wouldn't get for yourself" he saidÂ
"Well thank you I don't know what else I can say or do to show you how much I appreciate all this" I saidÂ
"You don't need to do or say anything I can tell by the tears in your eyes that you appreciate it and knowing you are happy is all I need" he saidÂ
~~~~~~~~~~
4 months laterÂ
So many people have told me to stop working and start my maternity leave but I just hit 38 weeks so I have a bit more time left and I don't want to waste my time off if the baby could not arrive for up to 3 weeks. I need as much maternity leave available for after the baby is here as possible as I'm the only one who will be looking after her and I can't bring myself to put her in daycare until she's closer to one which is when I'd come back to work. Working while this pregnant is difficult as I can't move as quickly as I used to and I have to pee what feels like every few minutes but I push through and get everything done with a bit of help from coworkers and Jude when he's around.Â
This morning I woke up with pain in my lower back which isn't completely unusual but for some reason it felt different to the back pain I normally have. Despite the pain I got myself ready for work and drove to the training centre as that's where my office is. I made it to my office and started turned on my pc and started gathering the things I need for the day when I felt liquid tricking down my leg then it happened a big gush of what looked like water hit the floor. It felt like time stopped for a few minutes as I just stood there looking at the floor panicking slightly because as much as I tried to prepare for this moment now it's actually happening it's quite scary. Past me was prepared for this situation though as she brought spare clothes to the office a few weeks ago and I put my hospital bag in the car just incase.Â
After a few minutes of panicking my rational brain kicked in and I got myself changed and found my phone so I could start timing my contractions. I waddled my way from my office down to the physios area of the training centre as I knew Jude would be there as he picked up an injury a few weeks ago so he's still getting treatment. My idea was to just deal with the contractions on my own for a while until I felt like I needed to go to the hospital but they were slightly more painful than I expected and I just didn't want to be alone. Jude had told me if I needed him he'd make himself available so Iâm definitely going to take him up on that at least for a little while.Â
He was exactly where I expected him to be but he definitely wasn't expecting to see me because as soon as he spotted me he told the physio to stop what he was doing and leapt off the bed towards me. There was a moment where he was clearly processing what must be going on as I never come and find him during the day and definitely not wearing comfy clothes like I am right now. It took him a second but it eventually he worked out why I was there and he looked just as panicked as I felt.Â
"Oh my god are you ok do we need to go to the hospital?" He askedÂ
"First off I'm as good as I can be and two we can't go yet my waters have just broken I just didn't want to be alone" I saidÂ
"Ok let me talk to Carlo and then we can go back to your office until it's time" he saidÂ
"Wait do you need anything?" He asked before running offÂ
"Just some water please I didn't get chance to fill up my bottle" I saidÂ
"Got it go back to your office and I'll be there before you know it" he saidÂ
He wasn't wrong he got there just after I did although he did have the advantage of being able to run and not having to stop for contractions. As soon as he arrived he took over the timing of my contractions and let me squeeze his hand when I needed to although I didn't want to hurt him so I didn't squeeze too hard. Things started progressing a lot quicker than I expected and my contractions really started to hurt as they got closer and closer together which made it harder to stop myself from making too much noise like I had been.Â
"Thats 5 minutes apart now" Jude saidÂ
"It fucking feels like it" I groaned
"Do you have everything in your car?" Jude askedÂ
"Yeah my hospital bag and car seat are all in there" I repliedÂ
"How about I drive your car to the hospital then so you can have everything you need" he suggestedÂ
"That sounds like a good idea but when we get there please don't leave I don't think I can do this on my own" I saidÂ
"I won't leave you don't worry as long as you want me there I'll be there but if you want me gone at any point just tell me it's all up to you but first let's get to the hospital" he saidÂ
From the second we arrived at the hospital things went by so quickly I'm not sure that I remember everything that happened. What I do know is that I was already 6cm dilated when we arrived and things only progressed from there. I did a lot of walking around trying to let gravity do some of the work but when a contraction hit I couldn't keep going I had to grab onto whatever was nearest which sometimes was the bed and other times was Jude as he followed me around.Â
When it got to the point that I was nearly ready to start pushing I considered whether I wanted Jude to stay because I really value the bond we've built over the last few months and I don't know if I want to ruin that by making him watch me give birth. My feelings for him go past that of just friends but of course he doesn't feel the same way as why would he want someone who's just about to birth another man's baby. Maybe having him stay would mean he doesn't want to see me again which would help me get over my feelings but then again I don't know if a harsh break in our friendship is what I need right now. In the end my fear of doing this alone won so I asked Jude if he was comfortable staying and to my surprise he said yes and promised he wouldn't look while laughing which definitely lifted the tense atmosphere in the room.Â
All the doctors and nurses filed into the room and put my bed in the right position and put my legs in the foot holds on the bottom of the bed. Jude was stood right by my side as the nurses instructed me on how to breathe and when to push. It was definitely painful but the nurses and Jude kept encouraging me which kept me going even when I wanted to give up. All it took was a few minutes until I heard the most amazing sound of my daughter crying for the first time. There was no energy left in me to use to stop the tears so I just let myself cry and the tears only intensified when my baby girl was placed on my chest for the first time. She was just so perfect I don't think I've ever felt more love for anyone or anything in my life. Jude tried wiping the tears from my face but they were only replaced by more in just a few seconds.Â
The nurses had to take my baby girl to do all of the necessary tests to make sure she is healthy which pained me as I just wanted to hold her but I know it's important. It was only then that I realised that I was still holding Jude's hand so I went to let go but he just held my hand tighter. I looked into his eyes and he too had tears in his eyes which made me even more emotional. His free hand pushed my hair back as it had become a mess over the many hours of labour I had been through. As he moved my hair out the way he leant down and completely unexpectedly his lips met mine in what was the best kiss I've ever had in my life. It was unexpected but I kissed him back pretty much straight away but he pulled away after a few more seconds.Â
"I'm sorry I shouldn't have done that I crossed a line I'm sorry" he saidÂ
"Don't be sorry I enjoyed it I've had feelings for you for a while I just didn't think you'd want me" I saidÂ
"How could I not want the most beautiful girl in the world" he smiledÂ
"I hope you know I come with my mini me now" I laughedÂ
"I wouldn't have it any other way" he saidÂ

need to see how teacher!reader met ross and hann
Omg yeah, I can't believe I haven't discussed this at length yet??
Hannâs story is very boring (sorry, bro), baby Hann goes to Annieâs school, and you once worked as a teaching assistant in his class! It was whilst you were still training, so you were just a helper, but you sometimes did hand off at the end of the day, so you spoke to Carly and Adam regularly. As well as being there on parents' evenings and things, so they just know you through school.
Ross is a little more interesting story thoughâŠ
âżââżâżââżâżââżâżââżâżââżâżââżâżââżâżââż
You met Ross a few months into your intense crush on Matty. You knew who he was after some intense stalking of Mattyâs social media and some googling. But Ross had no idea what you looked like.
He knew Matty was falling in love with his daughter's teacher, and he told him over and over again that it was a bad idea. So he did no research into you, not wanting to encourage Matty into a relationship that didn't sound so sensible.
You blink heavily a few times, trying to process whether this man in front of you is actually the man you thought he was. But when you saw a flash of his phone background and saw a picture of all the boys and Annie at the zoo, you knew he was indeed the very same Ross you'd seen in many late-night stalking sessions.
So when he saw a pretty girl in a club, he didn't think twice before going up to her and offering to buy a drink. âHi, bit of a boring pickup line, but I saw you from across the bar and thought you were beautiful. Can I buy you a drink?â
Ross decided to go simple that night after having spent too long chatting up a girl just for her to slink off with another guy at the end of the night (usually MattyâŠ)
Whilst you were processing, however, you were silent. Which isn't exactly encouraging when it comes to picking girls up at bars. Ross starts to nervously move around, pulling at his shirt and fiddling with his hair. You can feel the nervousness radiating off of him, and you don't quite know what to do.
Part of you wants to be honest right away, tell him your Annie's teacher and you recognise him from her many drawings, all of which you now know are quite accurate as you stare up at Ross. But also, you know that as soon as you mention Matty, you'll get that stupid lovesick look on your face, and you can't risk Ross telling Matty that. You could try and hide it, but your face said everything your words didn't.
Ross can sense your hesitation and starts talking again before you can respond, âLet me guess, pretty girl like you has a boyfriend already, huh?â he laughs. You can tell he isn't putting too much pressure on this conversation, so you feel okay lying to him, just this once.
âAh, thank you for the offer, but I do indeed have a boyfriend, I'm afraid. I would normally take the free drink, but you seem like a nice guy, so I'll let spend your money on a single girl, yeah?â You giggle at Ross and shoot him a wink, and you can't help but brighten even more when you see a blush come across his cheeks.
Luckily, Ross doesn't take it too hard and thanks you for your honesty before moving back across the bar. You don't pay too much attention to him for the rest of the night, dancing with your friends and trying to drink your feelings for Matty away (it doesn't work, and you start stalking his Instagram at 3 am until your friend forcibly removes your phone.)
But just before you leave the club you flick your eyes around the room looking for Ross, and you couldn't be happier than when you see a redheaded girl practically on his lap in the corner of the room.Â
But the second his eyes meet yours, they widen and you can see all the memories flooding back. You consider pretending to meet all over again to avoid the awkwardness, but you can't lie to Matty like that so you decide to just be upfront with it.
You don't cross paths again until after you and Matty are finally together! After breaking the news to the boys and diffusing the small bit of tension, you re-meet them all.
No part of your brain thinks Ross remembers you, you assume he's tried to pick up many girls at many clubs over the years, and you remember Matty saying he's been in a relationship for a few months now so there's no way he knows your face.
âNice to see you again Ross, heard you finally found a pretty single girl, huh?â You tease, and you can see his muscles relax when you make a joke of it, every bit of nervousness in him melting away.
âYup, found her the same night I met you actually, guess you having a boyfriend worked out quite well in the end,â he smiles softly as he speaks about his girlfriend, and you assume the redhead you saw with her tongue down his throat that night is the very same one that you see flash up as his phone background.
Before you can respond, Matty is jumping in with questions, âDo you two know each other already? And what do you mean, boyfriend? I thought you hadn't had one in years before you met me?â Matty's face is doing that scrunchy thing he does when he feels confused and left out at the same time, and whilst it is cute, you put him out of his misery pretty quick.
âI didn't. Ross and I met at a club months ago. He tried to buy me a drink, and I was so hung up on you that I lied and said I had a boyfriend. Worked out well in the end, though, didn't it?â You slide into Mattyâs side as you speak, placing your hand on his chest gently.
âWait, so did you already know who I was that night?â Ross asks before Matty can cut in and ask 100 more questions.
âMate, no need to get all alpha male on me. Never even bought her a drink, used that fiver to buy one for Hazel instead. She literally said no to me because she was in love with you, don't think I had much of a chance. You always ended up with the girls I went for first anyway.â Ross jokes.
âOh I absolutely did, I must have seen about 100 photos of you across all of Mattyâs socials.â You laughed as you spoke and hoped the mention of your late-night stalking would distract Matty from everything, but it didn't.
You could see he was feeling weird about it. He felt jealous but was not quite sure why? You had turned Ross down that night because you liked him, but he's still annoyed at the idea of anyone hitting on you, especially one of his best friends.
This makes Matty move on quickly, and soon enough you're grilling all the boys about Mattyâs supposed âslut eraâ and getting all the juicy details of all those girls in the back of his van.
You and Ross make jokes about it from time to time, whenever you're at a bar as a group he asks if you have a boyfriend when he buys a round, and you ask if he's single when you buy them too.
Matty rolls his eyes every time, but he always fights a smile when you press a kiss to his cheek to confirm you do, in fact, have a boyfriend. And he smiles even bigger when it turns from a peck on the cheek to a kiss on the mouth and the wiggle of a wedding ring, telling Ross that you don't have a boyfriend, but you do have a husband.
#sorry im a little rusty with blurbs lol#been a whileeee#i need to get back into them tbh!!#anon!#teacher au!

OMG. I love the tod headcannons. Would you ever do ian sleepover headcannons?
HELLOOOO ANON sorry this has taken so long, i do apologize and i hope its fun to read!!!!
WORD COUNT: 916
WARNINGS: not proofread, weed mention, ians a perv on occassion, mostly fluff
ok number one i need a sleepover with this guy NOWWWWWW
ian refuses to call it a sleepover. you two are hanging out, chilling, thatâs all. if he spends the night then thats just what happens, it totally wasn't his end goal
i truly believe ian sleeps better in anyone elses bed than he does his own not for any particular reason he just loves the feeling of being on vacation and being in a different bed counts to him fr
he comes over with nothing. like deadass the clothes on his back and maybe some weed IF UR LUCKYÂ
he also tends to show up âjust for a bitâ and makes a big show about sighing at the time and being like manâŠ. i wish i didnât have to leave but its almost time for bedâŠâŠ..
like girl just ask to sleep over who cares
anyways he really hates Planned Sleepover Activities
no pillow fights, no truth or dare, no spin the bottle (this can and has been done before with him, he just has to be in the mood,) no bloody mary, etc
now, of course, if he really really really loves you, heâll do all those things and more. he is going to COMPLAIN though. like, to the point where itâs almost unenjoyable.Â
he does love a good spa day thoughâŠ. you ask him to put on a fuzzy robe so you can put a face mask and cucumbers on him and heâs jumping for joy lowkey
and he lets you paint his nails and stuff and he doesnt care if its messy or bumpy or if you donât put a top coat on it, he just loves that youre doing it for ihm
ANDDDD its the quietest heâll be. youll look up at his face and hes staring down at you with such a sickeningly sweet love sick grin that its almost enough to make you barf and he won't say a single word until youre done
and even then heâll just go âits great baby, thank you.â heheh
like 3 hours later heâll go âyou got a lot of nail polish on my skin, god damn.â and youâll look over and hes very methodically picking it off of his skin lol
anyways. when hes over he just wants to chill genuinelyÂ
ian is interested in getting chinese food or pizza, getting super fucking high, and having movies or music in the background while you guys talk
and he really only does one on one sleepovers, siblings or family excluded. if you invited another friend to sleepover at the same time hes gonna be in the corner like ughâŠ..sighâŠâŠeyerollâŠ..ughâŠ..what no im fine its whateverâŠâŠsighâŠ..
ian is super handsy as is but when he gets tired hes worse
youâll know hes ready for you two to go to sleep when hes suddenly attached to your back, arms around your waist and head in your shoulder
ian loves sleepovers that are simply for you two to get shit done
like ian has to rework an art piece? hes coming over and youre finally gonna clean your room.
he tries to sleep in his regular clothes all the time (he does it at home i fear to say) so if youre against that you HAVE to have some spare clothes for him. or let him sleep in his underwear but then heâs gonna get that dumb stupid sexy grin on his face and ask if youre trying to get him nakedÂ
which like yes ian i am but not like thatâŠ.yet
waking up with ian is great if you get up before him because hes all cuddly and sweet and murmuring in his sleep and you can just stare and admire him
if he gets up first hes waking you up but hes also fucking with you
he shakes you awake and is like BABE YOU OVERSLEPT FOR XYZ!!!!! and you jump out of bed and hes like haha got you just kidding
or he draws on your face or arms if youre a heavy sleeper and he can get away with it
AND he takes photos of you sleeping all the time on his shitty little flip phone and he never tells you about it
until like weeks later when youre hanging with him in the car eating food and he laughs and turns his phone around to show you a picture of you slumped over, mouth open, drooling.
but hes a menace
hes like well im up so i need you up to????
like god bless erin for dealing with himÂ
but you dont have to worry about it much, he normally sleeps in if hes able to but depending on when he went to bed, he could get up before you
and good luck trying to go back to sleep because hes hitting you with pillows and squashing you and talking until you just roll your eyes and sit up
and then hed smile and go omgggg good morning sleepyhead LIKE SHUT UP
overall, ian is a fun guy to have a sleepover with if you just want to chill, not if you want to do activities if that makes sense
but hes never going to ASK to spend the night (unless youre in the car with him about to get dropped off and hes kissing you and get handsy and THEN heâll be like babeâŠ. cant i just hang out :((( like sighâŠ. of course you can bae

One small pet peeve I have about Chapter 7 is that it's making Maleficent look like "a victim." This is a personal thing but I always considered the Evil Queen to be Disney's most evil villain, but the title has Maleficent being considered "evil incarnate." And I understand, she has powers and transforms into a dragon. What a cool thing. But on several occasions I feel that content creators who partly work for Disney do not respect that she is an evil being and end up softening her character, either giving her a tragic background or making her a mother. Going back to TWST, the part that bothers me the most is right at the beginning of the chapter, when Yuu dreams about Maleficent and the only option to choose implies that they feel bad for Maleficent for not being invited. And it's like WHAT? Didn't you see that she cursed a baby? Or better yet, why didn't you feel bad for the other villains? And seeing the theories of the most recent update, with the inclusion of the senate and seeing that almost the entire fandom hates them, it makes Maleficent's descendants seem more like victims (which they partly are). Sorry, this is something personal that I wanted to share with someone. But in conclusion, no other medium outside of the original film can well portray Maleficent as the embodiment of evil that she is supposed to be. And yes, I know the Draconia family is not Maleficent but they are still related.
Disclaimer: Iâm coming at this from the POV of someone who has no attachment to Maleficent as a character and is frankly confused as to why sheâs the Big Bad that Disney chooses to promote as their villainous icon đ€Ą so take my opinion with a grain of salt!đ§
To quickly correct something before the discussion: Malleus being a relative or a descendant of Maleficent is NOT canon. It is a popular headcanon, especially during the early days of the TWST fandom when we didnât have a lot of lore about the Draconia family. From the way Malleus speaks about the Thorn Witch, she is considered a separate ancient entity and not someone he personally knows or has blood ties with.
Knowing that, it somewhat detracts from the points made in this ask đ
since it seems like the Anon was trying to draw a parallel between Maleficent and Malleus⊠Conflating Maleficent with Malleus may be the result of mixing up the dreams with the differing mediums and presentations of Maleficent and Malleus in the context of their own works. I feel they can be treated like two entirely separate cases, and with different intentions behind them.
Maleficent has been written as a tragic antihero in the live action movie(s) of the same name. That is one interpretation of her, just as the Descendants Maleficent is much goofier in attitude. They are Disneyâs properties and so they are free to twist Maleficent however they wish to suit the circumstances or to chase a modern trend of redemption, even if itâs different than the âmistress of evilâ she was introduced as. In my opinion, there is nothing inherently wrong with this (although that doesnât mean youâre obligated to enjoy or to agree with every iteration of Maleficent or the new direction sheâs being led in). This doesnât automatically make her a âvictimâ (for lack of a better term) either, she feels more⊠âgirlbossâ to me, if that makes sense?? Tragic things do happen to her, but they donât define Maleficent as an individual (if I recall correctly, she acts on her own and rises up + regains power in spite of humans hating her). I think itâs just a different way to spin a story. However, I can see why maybe this doesnât bode well to some people who like her for being evil and not for being redeemable.
Malleus is the âfinal bossâ of a gacha game. The intention behind his design is to endear the players to the character so theyâre willing to roll for him. Thatâs why Malleus in particular has a âspecialâ role compared to the other boys, and why they try to establish a friendship with Yuu early on in the main story. He is treated differently in the narrative because of that. We may not necessarily like it or find the method effective, but thatâs the design TWST went with. (Iâm personally not a fan of this either, it grants Malleus specifically a lot of grace and favoritism that Iâm not on board with đ
)
I also want to point out that when the other villains were introduced in Yuuâs dreams, itâs not really in situations that would immediately warrant sympathy. The Queen of Hearts is unreasonably mad, the King of Beasts is plotting against his brother, etc. Itâs not that Yuu doesnât âfeel badâ for the others, itâs that the others didnât give Yuu anything to âfeel badâ about right away. For the dream with Maleficent, itâs different: Yuu first learns that she is âunwantedâ and THEN she casts her magic. Yuu then fixates on the reason behind Maleficentâs curse (because at this point in the story, weâve seen 6 cases of how oneâs motivations and past fuel oneâs actions in the present). The other villains donât get similar scenes or lines to show off the potential reasoning behind their behaviors (no showing of how the Queen of Heartâs rule benefits her people, no jeering at Scar, etc.) so of course Yuu wonât be as gracious about them.
We should also consider that each of these dreams is prophetic and ties back to the current OB boyâs troubles. In Malleusâs case, loneliness is a huge issue and heâs been Yuuâs âfriendâ since book 2. These will naturally play into Yuu feeling more sympathy towards Maleficent, who resembles Malleus and is left out like he is. The other OB boys didnât have this âspecialâ connection, and their issues donât center so strongly on wanting companionship. If you refer back to Yuuâs dreams of each villain, Yuuâs reactions to each reflect the ongoing dilemma of each boy and their dorm mates, such as wondering why the card soldiers donât intervene and not understanding why Scar used the methods he did.
That being said, Iâm not sure if I agree with the use of âvictimâ to describe the Draconias. The termâs definition varies by person (and Iâm not sure what the askerâs own definition is, so there may be some disagreement here), but personally I see âvictimâ as a binary. It puts one person in a weak and passive positionâwith them being the one acted onâand the other person in a position of powerâthe one doing the acting. It creates an easy âus vs themâ narrative. I donât believe this is the case for any of the TWST characters; to call them âvictimsâ implies a lack of agency to act and a clear good vs evil worldview.
Back to the Draconias. Yes, bad things have happened to them and some of those bad things were the result of the senateâs decisions. That doesnât make the Draconias (or even Maleficent, in my opinion) âvictimsâ, and certainly not âvictimsâ to the senate alone. There are so many other factors to consider in Malleus being isolated and turning out the way he did. These include, but are not limited to: Maleficia being too busy to spend time with him, his parents being absent, Malleus still managing to meet and interact with Lilia anyway, Malleus himself being so powerful/high status he scares his servants and peers, royals having duties to tend to and thus limited freedoms, previously existing tensions with humans, etc.
TWST does do a lot to make you feel bad for and to pity Malleus. From the moment we first saw him, the âlonelinessâ of Malleus was a major part of his character. Many factors outside of his control compounded as an unfortunate situation that⊠wasnât very conducive for him to grow up feeling normal and loved. Itâs not that he was just now made a âvictimâ, itâs that weâre now getting all the context for why his character is the way it isâand itâs a whole slew of traumas and personal experiences. I would argue the same happens for all the OB boys; this isnât something exclusive to twisted Maleficent, Malleus. TWST is trying to present these issues with more nuance than the classically evil G7 they were inspired by; the OB boys in general they arenât defined by their âvictimhood, but rather how they respond to and cope with those experiences.
