It was a little bit mixed. I think FP1 actually went pretty well. It was nice to get back on this circuit, it's been a couple of years. I felt like I got into the flow relatively well and was feeling good. And then we made some changes for FP2 and it didn't quite work out for us. Ideally a change is for the best, but we didn’t really feel like the conclusion from this one was positive, so we'll go back tomorrow and go back and try and tweak a few other things. From that point of view I wish we could have found a little bit more, but in saying that we know what kind of worked this morning, so try and get a little more out of that instead of getting a bit greedy with setups. In simple terms grip. I'll tell you It's very slippery here. I was hearing they didn't clean and pressure wash the circuit like they normally would. It started off very slippery and dirty, and just trying to address some of that, mid corner is really weak, traction is poor and overall level of grip is low. And just trying to make some changes to work with this track because the expectation of where we thought the grip would be wasn't quite there. It's tough. This morning we were there front of the midfield and this afternoon we weren't. We know if we get it right we can be there, if we don't we're not. It's always a little bit tricky and this circuit is one where if you put the lap together, like any street circuit, if you close your eyes and hold on you can go pretty well. We don’t close our eyes, but you know what I mean. We'll try and make it work. If we go back to our FP1 setup and tweak a few little things. I think we can still be fighting towards the front of the midfield with a *chef's kiss* good lap.

So as long as we’re discussing queer readings of Psych can we please discuss the fact that this show had one of the greatest (and only) canonical portrayals of a squish in media history?

Like I’m all for the interpretations of Shawn/Despereaux as Bi Disaster Shawn, but as an Ace person the canon portrayal of Shawn’s obsession with Despereaux as a platonic squish is so important to me. I’ve always loved how Psych as a show is centered more around the platonic relationships between characters (even the romantic subplots are heavily rooted in and affected by platonic affection). It’s one of the reasons it’s such a special show to me and so many other Ace/Aro people; I love how so many of my relationship experiences as an AroAce are mirrored in this show and how validating it feels to see them treated seriously.

Even if Shawn himself isn’t ace, seeing an essential part of the Ace experience for so many of us openly portrayed is really cool and always made me so happy. Ace interpretations are queer interpretations and I don’t think it downplays the inherent queerness of this relationship at all to talk about it as a squish rather than a crush. I mean, obviously, interpret it in whatever way makes you feel seen, but I just think it’s really cool that the show went out of its way to portray a dude’s adorable wholesome obsession with the pure coolness of another dude in a way that spoke to so many Ace folks.

yk i feel like because I kind of skipped so much time in my daydreams, because my current main one is a future of my usual main one I keep feeling like my life is halfway over and I have to remind myself that I'm fifteen and that I have time and that im not losing anything right now

I dont wanna hear "don't feel guilty for getting better" because I know I will, I will feel guilty for leaving my family, my friends, the loves of my fucking life. I need to know that it's okay to grieve something that I built myself, it's okay to grieve something - a whole universe of worlds - that kept me alive for so long, that still is keeping me alive.

I'm just stuck in this in-between of knowing absolutely nothing about my future but also knowing exactly how my life will turn out, even though I don't really. and I know that some part of me will always be lingering in my head, longing for a life I will never get to live, with people that will never be real.
