i can't get over how young this scene makes him look.

Like, the wide eyes, the vulnerable expression, the clothes that are no where near as intricate or fancy as his usual attire, his complete lack of makeup that he's usually in, the way that he's staring at Macrinus.

To me I can't stop thinking about it cause it rlly shows that the emperors are young, naïve and how that leads them to allow Macrinus to continue to become this source of almost parental guidance that exposes both twins to his additional manipulation which would eventually lead to their own downfall.
