Just some little doodles of my favorite characters from the new mario and luigi game! The villians are so great. I love Ten with all my heart!
The one drawing is for a little Au i have in my head where Ten adopted and takes care of Lood (which he keeps hidden from his fellow extension corps members and Zokket. ) and goes to visit his son/makes sure Lood is okay.

De Kiefer Beleving II
Indrukwekkend, overweldigend, gigantisch!!!

1/10/23: It was 50 years ago today, January 10th, 1973, Deep Purple would release their seventh studio album Who Do We Think We Are. Ugh, where do I start... let’s start with the good news: the album starts off with one of the band’s greatest songs--and maybe their last good song--’Woman From Tokyo.’ This tune was recorded after they’d toured Japan, which was a huge success for the band, and so they were on a high and they cranked out this magnificent Metal-Prog-Rock showcase... like it’s ‘Frankenstein’ level, with all the different little parts in it that are all equally awesome, singable chorus (’To-Kay-Yo’)... perhaps the key difference between this song and the rest of the album is Gillan... Ian Gillan still gives a shit at this point. That was recorded in July of 1972 after a year of touring, but instead of resting they toured another three months, and then once finished their record company made them go to the studios immediately to record more material... lest ye forget that Deep Purple was, around this point, THE biggest thing in the United States, and we haven’t really even hit the release of ‘Smoke on the Water’ as a single yet (word of mouf at this point). So their record company (EMI) wanted more profit, so more fucking product... by the time they finished this record the band was exhausted and, subsequently, this is very very very inferior material... it’s way worse than Fireball, and I don’t think that’s a great DP Mk II record at all, but at least then they were trying. Or at least Gillan wasn’t trying with this record much... like guitarist Richie Blackmore sounds pretty much fine, as does keyboardist Jon Lord, but the songs lack decent melodies, and they rely on lazy blooozie cliches... like the final two tracks (’Place In Line’ and ‘Our Lady’) have about 150x less plays on Spotify than ‘Woman From Tokyo’ because they may as well be tracks by Grand Funk or even (gasp!) Bad Company... simply generic. Track two, for example, ‘Mary Long’... supposed to be some kind of social stance against some British prudish public types, but it just comes off as so fucking corny, and here’s where you can see (hear!) Gillan really doesn’t give a shit anymore. Same goes for the dreadfully awful ‘Super Trouper’... like it has kind of a similar opening as ‘Bloodsucker’ but then immediately dies with this gawd-awful melody and Gillan basically groaning... no, issa no gouda. The only other bright spots, and even that is a stretch, are ‘Smooth Dancer’ and the idiotically titled ‘Rat Bat Blue’, both of which would be the worst tracks on any of the three previous records (okay, maybe not worse than ‘No No No’ off Fireball, eeesh). I mentioned just a couple weeks ago about 1973 being a turning point in Rock... like Rock critic Lester Bangs said either 1973 or 1974 was the peak of Rock (I think that’s right... did I hear that on the Simpsons?)... definitely feels like 1973 is the plateau as, starting right here with this record, we will hear some seriously lesser efforts from established bands... not all of them (see Zeppelin, the Who), but too many to seem like anything but a pattern of decline in this... field? movement? paradigm? Whatever Rock was between 1965 and 1976 starts dying right here, for real. You think I’m kidding? In the middle of their grand success in ‘73 Gillan and bassist Roger Glover (apparently a package deal) would both quit, leading to the (double-ugh) David Coverdale years... yup, there was life for Mr. Coverdale before Whitesnake and Tawny Kitaen... ah, Tawny Kitaen (RIP), wait where was I? Oh yes, Witchboard is a pretty terrible movie. And Who Do We Blah Blah is a pretty terrible album... a real fucking disappointment, and I blame their evil record company for pushing them... fucking assholes. All you really need is ‘Woman From Tokyo’ and maybe the other two songs I mentioned if you are so inclined, but otherwise a BIG skip.

we as a society need to return to an era where witches could kidnap people and fatten them up! I think I would like a morally questionable woman to snatch me off the street and relentlessly feed me until I'm as round and plump as she wants me~
