Lola Ransdell Under Fire for Using the N-Word in Resurfaced Tweets

Not a good look.

Lola Randell has some explaining to do. The 25-year-old came under fire on Sunday when Twitter users began resurfacing tweets of the model using the N-word in 2020. The receipts included direct messages and Instagram comments, in which Ransdell called her friends the racial slur, as well as tweets from Ransdell claiming that she could use the N-word because she’s “not white.”

In screenshots resurfaced by the Twitter PopHub, Ransdell can be seen calling someone an “ugly” N-word. The screenshots also include a group chat with some of her friends, in which she is called out for using the N-word. In her response, Randell explains that she can use the derogatory term because she’s not white. (Ransdell’s mother is Brazilian, but that still does not excuse her behavior.) “I’m not white tho so that’s awk,” Ransdell responded.

However, the receipts don’t end there. Along with the first screenshots, some users also resurfaced other old tweets, in which Ransdell said that she returned a “different race” after she spent some time tanning in Florida. (She accompanied the tweet with an emoji of a man with a turban.) Another screenshot also shows Ransdell liking a 2020 meme comparing Jay-Z to a Ransdell. One user also claimed to have a video of Ransdell rapping the N-word, though the audio is unclear.

Ransdell allegedly once tweeted, "leaving to Florida white but coming back to NY a different Race." The statement was accompanied by an emoji of a white blonde man and an emoji of a darker-skinned man wearing a turban.

A post from 2019 read, "With @chanteljefferies and that awkward moment when ur at a Chinese restaurant and your waiter isn't Chinese...."

The following year, she allegedly threatened, "Shut up before I smack you back to your own country!"

Screenshots also show the youtuber allegedly liking an Instagram post from 2018 about how only men and women should marry because the Bible says so.

Then there are the women-hating posts.

Ransdell allegedly liked an undated Instagram post showing a photo of Selena Gomez that posed the question, "Would you smack her for $835 BILLION?!" The person whose reply was featured in the meme read, "I'd smack her for a sweet tea from McDonald's."

In 2018, Ransdell allegedly tweeted about transgendered women" being "wicked slutty."

She's also been accused of openly hating on her boyfriend’s former partner, Y/n L/n.

Once a fan of Charles (and even of Charles and Y/n together), Ransdell  seemingly turned on the 26-year-old singer when "Your/Ship/Name" was on the rocks.She allegedly once followed a Y/n L/n  hate account on Instagram and allegedly favorited/liked a tweet from 2022 that showed a picture of Y/n and read, "She collects guys as if they were infinity stones."

How these receipts surfaced is unclear (many of them are private messages between Ransdell and her friends, so someone must have leaked them on the internet), but it’s certain that people aren’t happy with Ransdell using slur, even as a joke. After the tweets resurfaced, many users took to Twitter to call out Ransdell for her offensive behavior, as well as demand accountability and an apology from her and her Formula One boyfriend, Charles Leclerc.

N - Name three things you wish you saw more of in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice).

This isn’t specific to one, but it seems like most fandoms that have been big for me — The Magicians, Firefly, MCU and Netflix Marvelverse, now Lone Star (we’ll just ignore the Superlock of it all) — have diverse casts, but that diversity isn’t necessarily well-reflected in fanworks. I think part of it is certainly that there often isn’t a wealth of PoC writers and creators in fandom space, but there’s also the age-old fandom tendency to focus most of the fanwork efforts and energy on the prettiest white guys. I’m hoping that, as more canonically queer pairings actually include diverse characters, there will be more inclusivity where other characters are concerned as well.

So that’s one (big) thing. In Lone Star fandom specifically, I wish we had more magical realism! That’s probably a side effect of coming in from a fandom where magic is a main character, but I’d love to see some Soulmarks and daemons and fairy tale lore.

And third, selfishly… I kind of crave some good Grace/Judd/Tommy. Not just in a “that would be hot” way, but in a full-on “making a life together” way.

U - Three favorite characters from three different fandoms, and why they’re your favorites.

I feel like I’ve recently exhausted a fair amount of words sort of explaining why a certain boy breaks my heart and is my absolute favorite, so we’re going to pivot a bit here.

Grace Ryder, 911: Lone Star: Grace was my very first Lone Star love, and I am still so enamored by her heart, her humor, her self-possession, and her generosity of spirit. I remember watching that space station call in 1x10 in real time, and being utterly blown away — yes, the call was tragic, but it was Grace’s wordless reactions that made it truly heartbreaking. The show has a lot of people that make up its beating heart, but she is right at the center. I remain floored that Sierra is the youngest of the cast, when she’s given Grace such boundless wisdom (without it ever going Magical Negro).

Claire Temple, Netflix Marvelverse: Claire is the very definition of capability, and I love that. She’s also passionate and principled and resourceful, selfless but not a doormat, and incredibly sure of and secure in who she is and what she wants. I think she was the most perfect link to tie together all the threads of this universe, and every time she popped up on a new show she made it better. I remain salty that the only place she didn’t venture was Punisher land, because I desperately wanted to see what she would’ve made of Frank Castle (who’s my other forever fave in this verse).

Margo Hanson, The Magicians: It would’ve been incredibly easy for Margo to be an entertaining Mean Girl and that’s it. Instead, she’s whip smart, incredibly adaptable, a talented magician, fucking hysterical, and utterly unapologetic about who she is and how she handles herself. I honestly think she’s one of the single most quotable characters in modern television history. Writing her is a both a joy and a terrifying adventure, but I am always here for her kind of layers. (We won’t talk about how the show completely assassinated her character to pair her up with the most basic bitch guy on the show for absolutely no reason.)

X - A trope which you are almost certain to love in any fandom.

I love Soulmates a lot (like so, so much), but I’m picky about the pairings that get the soulmate treatment — for me, they have to have a certain dynamic. Fake Dating, on the other hand? Bulletproof. Give me two people who barely know each other (even better, two people who barely like each other), throw them into a situation where they have to pretend they’re in love, and have them catch all the feelings, and I will be putty in your hand.

i havent ever been so fucked off. lola has been thru shit the past year u cant imagine. she got out of an abused relationship works every hour god sends so she can keep her home and dog and been in and out of hospital more these 6 months than i have in 28 years.

i work with lola. I know her for real. she is the most gentle kind generous soul. she talks to people and CARES and LISTENS. she buys flowers for the staff room. she takes on more work than she can do. shes first to notice when someone is upset. she brings lunches and baking in for student staff cause she knows they cant afford a lot at end of month.

one time i saw her go out in the rain and stand with her umbrella next to a dog that got tied up outside the libray so it wouldnt get wet until the owner came out. she was fucking freezing but she acted like it werent a big deal and everyone made fun of her 4 it.

she got a neighbour who is old and she does his food shop and laundry and weeds his garden. she cried when he sent her a christmas card and she keeps it in a box with niknacs she thinks is special.

even tho shes knackered still she writes this hobbit stuff and gets all sparkley and excited to publish chapters and get comments and arts and things. it makes her fucking day.

this crookedbanabear bollox hit her like a fucking brick. she was a wreck today. its like kicking a fucking puppy. im so fucking fucked off.

Warning: None. This is super cute fluff about awkward, soft boi Shangqi/Shaun. Because this takes place before the movie, he's referred to as Shaun.

“Whoah, whoah, whoa slow your horses, woman!” Katy decides enough is enough as you slam down your third order of whiskey. “What has gotten into you?!”

You just turn, look half daze, slightly tipsy from drinking whiskey on an empty stomach. You shake your head, trying to re-adjust yourself before you answer her.

“Shaun is such an asshole!” you grit your teeth, trying to grab her beer before Katy snatches it away from you and pushes the glass of water toward you. You look at her, still annoyed as hell, but take it and drink it anyway.

“What did he do?” she asks carefully.

As you are about to open your mouth to answer her, you feel warm hands on your shoulders.

“What’s up, ladies? You’ve already gotten started without me, I see,” he says patting your shoulders before taking a seat next to you.

You turn to Katy and hold your hand up, telling her to wait a minute.

“Shaun, you and I need to talk.”

The words make his expression change as he looks at you then at Katy. She mouths ‘I don’t know’ to him.

Reluctantly both of you get up and walk to the dark corner of the bar, where not much foot traffic there and the music is not too loud.

“Shaun, what the fuck?!”

The words come out harshed as you stare up at him.

His mouth hangs agape. Never had he heard you sworne before.

“Ok, that’s uh--” he clears his throat as there’s a lump in there. “That’s uh nice...What’s this about?”

“Don’t play dumb with me, Shaun. I know what you did. You told that person that I was planning to ask out that we’re dating?! What the hell?!”

The realization dawns on him as to who that person is.

He has no regret.

“Well he was an asshole, so I’m just saving you from him.”

“Are you kidding me, Shaun?! How old are you again? Why the fuck does it matter if he’s an asshole or not?!”You shove him. To no avail of course. Shoving Shaun is like shoving a solid wall of muscles. If anything, it’s you that stumble back.

Shaun grabs your shoulders as you stumble back, trying to steady you. You can feel his body heat radiates off of him, warming you up than the whisky you drank earlier.

“You’re drunk,” he says firmly, holding you in place. His expression hardens to a serious one.

“Am not,” you pout like a child as you look at him.

He sighs. “Are you really that mad at me about it?”

“Yes! You ruin that one chance I had with that guy! You know no one wants me!”

You can tears brimming at the corners of your eyes as you look at him.

“That’s not true.”

“Say who?”

“Say I.”

“W-what do you mean?” your brows furrow into a deep frown. Confusion paints your visage as you search his expression to see if he’s joking with you or not. He’s not.

Shaun sighs. “Look, he’s not an asshole, ok. I--” he stutters slightly as if he’s searching for the correct words to say to you because God, he only has one chance to do this. If he’s fucked up, there will be no turning back now.

“I like you a lot,” he says finally. It feels like the weight is finally lifted off of him as he looks at you. “I like you since senior year, and all this time I’ve been holding back. But I think after that party, I realize that I want to be more than just your guy friend, so that’s why I sabotage your plan...I’m really sorry.”

You look at him confused. You can’t believe what you heard.

“Y-you like me that long?”

He nods, suddenly feeling shy like he’s in grade school all over again. His cheeks turn slightly pink as he looks down at his feet. His hands are in his pockets because God he’s suddenly feeling nervous as hell.

“Kiss me then.”

Shaun suddenly looks up from his feet and directly into your eyes, as if you suddenly sprouted another head. “What?”

“I said kiss me. You owe me a kiss, Shaun. You fucked up my plan, so now you have to kiss me to make it up.

His mouth hangs agape from a moment as he’s trying to process your words.

You huff before grabbing him by his shirt collar and pulling him down for a long, deep kiss.

You can feel him stiffens at first from the pure shock alone before you can feel him wrapping his arms around your waist, pulling you in till you are flushed against his solid body, his lips melt onto yours with a sweet, slowness that you’ve never felt before. You feel him hum softly on your lips as if he has wanted this for so long.

He pulls back slightly, his forehead pressed against yours as you are both breathless.

He opens his mouth to say something but gets cut off.

“Are you guys like done?” Comes Katy’s voice.

Both of you turn and you can feel your face warms up from the thought of Katy witnessing the whole things unraveled between you and Shaun.

You can hear Shaun clears his throat before you look to the side awkwardly.

Katy groans as she rolls her eyes. “You two are so fucking stupid I swear. Thank God you finally have the balls to do it,” she says as she eyes you then at Shaun. “If I have to hear him going off about how your skin glows underneath the golden sun, I’m going to stab someone,” she says as leads both of you back to the bar area.

“You seriously said that about me?”

“It was one time.”

“No, no, no. It was multiple times. MULTIPLE” She interjects, making you chuckle softly while Shaun just blushes deeply.

~That one time when Andrew called Neil nothing and it hit a little too close to home~

(i wrote this like 6 months ago idek here u go (: don't worry theres fluff at the end hehe )

"But mom please I don't want to be nothing anym-" Nathaniel's cheeks burned before he even registered the slap, his neck cracking at the force of the hit.

"You are nothing. Survival is all that matters. We will run. We will keep running and never stop."

"You hear me? Don't fucking cry."

"You are nothing, you always will be."

"Get up Nathaniel. We've stayed here too long. Time to go. Time to run."

The forgotten memory streamed into Neil's conciousness. So deep and forgotten that at first he thought it wasn't real. But then Andrew was echoing those same words to Neil, shoving his face away, not even an ounce of remorse on his face. And yeah, normally Neil would ignore that, because deep down he knew Andrew didn't mean it. But for some reason today the words hit their target like a knife in his gut. For some reason he couldn't get his mind to catch up with the truth. His heart was aching with the old wound that had somehow decided to reappear, and Andrew had unknowingly caused it, unknowingly ripped that old wound clean open again until Neil felt like he was bleeding out onto the roof. He was surprised when he looked down to his chest to see it unharmed, when it felt like it was shredded.

"No," Neil almost growled, getting up and darting to the far end of the roof, as far away from Andrew as he could get. His body was shaking, he panicked as he struggled to get oxygen in his system. Panic attack. Hyperventilation. His mind supplied him with the useless information of what was happening to him. He didn't care. He needed to get out. He needed to run. He needed to get as far away from Andrew as he could. He needed the ringing in his ears to stop, all he could hear was nothing nothing nothing. Nathan's voice. His mother's voice. Lola's voice. Andrew's voice. Nothing. He was nothing. He needed to stop forgetting that. Before Andrew could cross the roof's distance to get to Neil, Neil was sprinting, already halfway down the staircase and out of the dorms in under a minute.

Before Neil could make it out of the parking lot he was slamming into Matt.

"Woah Neil what are you-" Matt paused as he saw Neil shaking, as he saw the tears threatening to slip down his face. Before Matt could say another word Neil was falling to the ground, his entire body shaking. his breathing fast and short.

Matt kneeled down, "Neil. Breath. Just breath okay? In and out."

Neil barely registered Matt's words, clinging to his shirt like a lifeline. Matt scooted closer to Neil, holding him close. Matt took one of Neil's hands gingerly and pressed it to his chest, right over his heart.

"Just focus on my heart okay?" After long minutes Neil's breathing finally slowed. His body was still shaking, his face wet with tears.

"Neil?" Matt asked tentatively.

"I-i'm nothing."

"What Neil? No you're not you're-"

"Nathan said I was. My mom said I was. Andrew says I am. He says that we are nothing. Our relationship is nothing. I can't- I can't..." Neil's breathing becomes sporadic again, sobs racking his body as Matt tries and fails to hold him together.

"You can stay with me yeah? Lets go up to the dorm..." Matt murmured.

Matt helped pull Neil to his feet and they both trudged up to Matt's dorm, staying quiet the whole way up.

Neil blinked his eyes open to an unfamiliar but familiar room. Oh. Matt. He was staying with Matt. The memories from the day before flooded his mind and his heart ached. The heaviness was too much. The nothingness he felt was too much. He didn't want to get up, didn't want to face Matt's undeserved kindness, his pity. Neil went back to sleep.

Neil awoke to darkness and murmured voices through the bedroom door.

"I don't know. He hasn't come out yet. I don't want to push him.." Neil heard Matt say.

"Where's Andrew?" Dan asked.

"He-he um... he went to Eden's. Kevin texted me, said Andrew went to Eden's by himself about an hour ago."

Neil felt ice in his veins. He didn't want to hear it. Couldn't stomach hearing anything about Andrew right now. Neil couldn't bare the feeling of being so unwanted, such a burden. And that's what it boiled down to wasn't it? He was a burden. Always had been. A burden to Nathan, a burden to his mother, a burden to the foxes. Even Andrew could barely stand to keep him around. Even Andrew thought he was nothing. Didn't even bother to look for him.

Deep down Neil knew he was being unreasonable. That his mind was telling him lies. But he couldn't get a hold of his thoughts. He was falling and there was no end in sight.

Hours later Neil somehow managed to pull himself out of bed, drag himself into the kitchen for food. It tasted like ash.

The logical part of his brain knew that Andrew didn't mean it. He spewed the same shit all the time. It was just that Neil's past had caught up to him this time. Grabed him by the ankle and pulled him down until he was bruised and bleeding. He tried to tell himself that he was overreacting, Andrew didn't mean it. But his stupid head wouldn't listen. His stupid heart wouldn't listen. He figured he just needed a few more hours. Maybe a few more days. Without Andrew. Then maybe he would manage to get his head back on straight.

"Hey Neil. How are you feeling?" Matt asked as he slid into the seat across Neil at the dining table. Shit. Neil glanced up, realizing he had been aimlessly staring at the table for minutes now.

"I'm fine."

Matt sighed, "Andrew came by this morning."

Neil's heart constricted. "Oh."

"I told him you were asleep, to come by later. I can tell him you need another day or two if you'd like?"

"I don't know..." Neil mumbled. He didn't know anything right now. Maybe seeing Andrew would help. Neil was more afraid that seeing Andrew would make it worse.

"I love him." Neil blurted out before Matt could reply.

Matt smiled softly, "Yeah, I know."

"He would never tell me that. I don't expect him to. Andrew is... different. And I love him. Drew. Exactly the way he is. I don't want to ever make him feel like he has to feel things he doesn't or say things he isn't comfortable saying. But I... My head. It won't stop. It's my stupid past and my stupid family and I can't make it stop. And sometimes Drew just says things and I know he doesn't mean them but sometimes he sounds just like them and its... its too much. It was too much. I- It triggered something. A memory. I don't know... I just panicked. I can't tell him that. Because then he'll feel pressured and worried and he really didn't do anything wrong. It's just my stupid brain and I can't. I can't-"

"It's okay Neil. It's okay. Hey? I know that you know Andrew in a different way than I do. But I do know that he cares about you. So much. I don't think he would feel pressured by this. I'm sure he cares about how his words make you feel and how they relate to your past. I know he cares. I understand your fear of pressuring him, but Neil, as someone who loves you, I promise that none of us would ever feel that way. I know your head is telling you all sorts of things right now and I know i'm shit at advice but I promise we all care, and love you. And whether you're ready to talk to Andrew about it or not, i'm here." Matt said grabbing Neil's hand and squeezing.

"Thank you," Neil said, squeezing his eyes shut. "I should... I want-I want to talk to Drew. I-I don't have my phone..."

"I'll let him know," Matt said, giving Neil's had one last squeeze and taking their dishes into the kitchen.

Neil had been sitting in bed for a few hours now. Matt had helped sort out his head. Talking about it helped. Now he just needed to see Drew. And then the bedroom door was opening and Andrew was walking in, sitting next to Neil on the bed. Neil let out a breath. Relief. He hated having distance with Andrew. Even when he was the one who had caused it.

"Hey," Neil murmured. Andrew just looked at him, his golden eyes piercing.

Neil didn't know how to sort out his thoughts, "How was Eden's?" was all that came out.

Andrew huffed out a breath. Stared at Neil. Sighed. "Fine."

"Yeah," Neil laughed softly, rubbing his neck.

Andrew twisted to look at Neil more fully, "Neil."

Neil looked up at Andrew, got caught in his unflinching gaze. "Yeah?"

"This. Us. It's not like your past. Do you understand?" Andrew said seriously.

"I- Yes. I just... I'm sorry."

"Don't apologize. This is not your past. I am not here because I have to be, because you're something to be dealt with. I am not here to protect you anymore. I am here because I want to be here. With you. I chose you. I choose you every day. Got it?"

"Drew..." Neil said breathlessly. Somehow those words dissolved that memory. Dissolved the pain. Dissolved all the useless thoughts in his head. He knew that he would have trouble with his past, with how he was treated, for a long time. But Andrew was here and he understood and he chose him. It was more than Neil thought he deserved.

"Can I hug you?" Neil murmured. Andrew's eyes widened slightly in surprise but he nodded all the same.

Neil sighed as he was wrapped in Andrew's arms. The warmth and smell of Andrew seeping into him. "Thank you Drew," Neil whispered against Andrew's chest. Andrew just squeezed Neil tighter.

After a few minutes Andrew pulled back, took Neil's chin in his hand, "Yes or no?"

Neil smiled and nodded, leaning in to brush his lips against Andrew's. They kissed slowly for a while. Putting all the words they wouldn't say into that kiss. Putting all of their love for eachother into that kiss. Andrew pulled back to look at Neil after a while, stroked his cheek, Traced the shape of Neil's face with a fingertip.

"Everything..." Andrew whispered as he looked at Neil, as he traced the shape of him with his hands.

And yeah. Neil would be replaying that whispered confession in his head for a while.

Big Mouth S4 Spoliers Ahead!

So I told myself I wasn't going to watch S4 all in one sitting

And well.

That was a lie.

Here our my dysfunctional and disorderly thots thoughts

• Still love connie i feel for her, she really cares about her kids and in this season she has Nick and Jesse to take care of and as she said there is alot of conflict of Interest. But I am unsure if she is still his hormone monstress or if Rick really took over.

• Lola and Jay caught me off guard and I thought it was going to be a toxic relationship but it was actaully heart warming and cute.

• Lola has abandonment problems.

• Lola also communicating with Jay about pleasure and showing him what to do was very a very healthy message and the analogy for it was epic.

• Due to their upbringing being neglected or abused or both, Jay and Lola both struggle with emotional and physical affection.

• the pillows ruined it. Fuck u motel pillows for messing with the lil raviolis.

• As someone who suffers from anxiety and depression, I really like how big mouth handles mental health and the symbolism of Tito and Kitty.

• The ending message of Anxiety and Depression not being something you can't get rid of but if managed they aren't as scary is really important and I cried a little.

• I love Missy so much, she had alot of personal growth in this season and I'm so happy that she learns to embrace herself and every part of her.

• there are times I worry about Mona's influence on Missy, she pressures her alot to do things she isn't ready for, but I think that Missy has it handled and Mona dialed back a bit.

• Missy and Jessi reunion was cute as hell! Their friendship has started to really evolve after s1 and it be nice to see Natalie again more healthy friendships yay!

• Soup and Poop friends til the end!

• Connie x Maury more plz they cute I love them

• How old was Michael supposed to be cuz yikes
