Talking shit with nuance in the DMs with someone who's also seen the horrors of Loki TWT is nice ^_^

For context, I really HATE Loki TWT (I find Lokiblr more tolerable, maybe because it's easier to avoid shit as I have the algorithm recommendations turned off. Y'all should try that.). Everyone's awful over there, be it anti series, Sylki, or Lokius.

Like do they all know they can express grievances without getting ableist and nasty?

Ok, I haven't been on here since, like 2021(ish)? But it felt right to come back finally. Yes I'm absolutely petrified what about it?

I went through...... *ahem* things, and I needed to leave for a while, but I missed this blog so much, and decided I'm finally ready to come back online.

Nothing has changed in my adoration enthusiasm for og Loki, but there is one more blorbo who's in the picture, and that would be Din Djarin. But this is still first and foremost an og Loki blog. That being said, I'm not interested in fandom drama. I'm hyper aware of the many different sides to Lokiblr, and I'm not here to stir the pot, so to speak. I just wanna blog about og Loki and my love for him, peacefully ✌️

That being said, hi, I'm Star :)

I use they/them pronouns, I'm 30, aroace and neurodivergent. I'm also Canadian, and proudly Anishinaabe. Saying this again, I'm not interested in fandom drama, I'm just here to blog about my blorbos.

What’s not allowed:

- Disrespect/Sexualization towards Tom Hiddleston, anyone connected to him, or any other Actor/Actress. Once again, mentions of/respectful opinions on Tom Hiddleston (that have to do with him playing Loki!!) are allowed, but I will not post anything disrespecting him or sexualizing him. No exceptions.

- Obviously.. any form of discrimination. Submissions that mention forms of discrimination along the lines of “I headcanon that Loki faced *form of discrimination*” are allowed (and will be tagged), but actual discrimination towards any group of people is not allowed whatsoever.

- Any kind of fandom drama or disrespect towards other blogs. Civil and respectful fandom discussion is allowed, but please no drama or disrespect. No targeting any blogs.

- I will not post any ship related submissions that are HEAVILY about the other character in the ship, and are not about Loki. No disrespect to any shippers, but this is a Loki centered blog. Brief mentions of ships such as “Do you think that Loki and Sif hooked up?” Are allowed, but this is not a ship blog. Ships/ship related posts will be tagged so people can block the posts about them. In all honesty, I will refrain from posting certain Sylki/Lokius related submissions. There’s enough of that in the main tags.

- Also absolutely no arguing over ships.. respectful discussion of ships is allowed, but no immaturity. I believe that people can ship what they want. Do not bring that shit here!!

Thinking of posting more content similar to Loki questions/polls, but I can’t think of anything all too interesting… would you guys be interested in sending Loki questions to my asks that I could post (with or without a poll) to get opinions from the rest of the fandom as well? It could be headcanons, discussions, opinions on canon, suggestive stuff, literally anything! Need to talk about Loki… AHHHHHH I’M HAVING WITHDRAWALS!!!

no but actually? this is definitely controversial, especially on lokiblr, but I agree completely (about Loki hating Thor, not that The Avengers is bad. it's my fav and I'm offended that you don't like it).

I don't think that Loki ever disliked Thor before the events of the first movie. I don't think their relationship squabbles went beyond what a normal pair of siblings go through. It's just a difficult culture and they're royalty and sometimes instead of slapping your brother in the face like a normal person, you commit minor treason to ruin their coronation.

And then Loki's whole world is turned upside down and he realizes all those fears he's had that he's not good enough and that he doesn't belong are true (in his mind, at least; he's a monster, after all), and he's determined to prove to both himself and his father that he does belong in this family and he's every bit as worthy as Thor is. And in his confusion and his fear and his grief over losing his sense of self and the life he thought he had, he kinda loses his grip on reality a lil bit and does some... questionable things?

And in my mind, that's when he decides he hates Thor. And he really does decide it; it's a semi-conscious decision because he has to hate Thor if he's going to go through with this and if he's going to take him out of the game so there's only one son worthy (and living) enough to claim the throne. So the moment Loki had the Destroyer kill Thor, he'd decided he hated him. And it's a hard decision. You can see him hesitate. He doesn't want to kill Thor. He doesn't want to hate him. But he has to. Because that's the only way he can prove his worth to his father. No, it's not, you absolute idiot. You just need a hug.

But I don't think that's really cemented in his brain until The Avengers. There's still a part of him in Thor (2011) that doesn't want to hate him, and you can see that throughout their entire fight on the Bifrost, but by the time Loki shows up in The Avengers, he's a changed man. He's spent the last year going through god-only-knows-what in the depths of space, and he's had all that time to dwell on his hatred of his brother and his father's betrayal. He's had a year to solidify his newfound hatred of his so-called family, and by the time Thor shows up and throws him out of that jet, Loki absolutely does hate him.

tbh I don't really know when it changes. I think it might be when Thor breaks Loki out in The Dark World. At this point, it's been two and a half years that Loki's spent hating his brother, based entirely on his view of Thor (2011) and then, obviously, what happens in The Avengers, none of which was very nice. But now, for the first time in two and a half years, Loki's working with Thor. All of his most recent memories with his brother have been bad ones, but this little adventure reminds him of what he does like about spending time with Thor. He knows it's not going to last, obviously. Thor's only putting up with him because he has to. But for a brief moment there, Loki got to work with his brother as his partner, his equal, and it reminded him why he loves him so much in the first place.
