There's something about Loki fixing his hair, Loki trying not to lie to Don/Mobius, Loki remembering what Mobius liked from s1, Loki saying to Don/Mobius what he couldn't to his Mobius, Loki understanding it's about the who, about Don/Mobius saying "small victories" and Loki appears just from behind like he is his biggest victory.

Sylvie: Why?

Loki: I want the TVA back.

Sylvie: And? What do you want?

I am just so happily surprised by where they’ve taken Loki in season 2. It’s so much more than I let myself believe it could be.

Man it’s been such a ride for us old timey Loki fans. Not knowing if the writers will remember and appreciate the depth of the character they have in their hands over and over again.. for nearly a decade.

And now, for him to have finally found his own power over his story. Shaping his destiny as he deems fit, according to what his true self and values are (AOA!!)

And to have found that power in himself through finally having people around him that see him. See his value as a person. They see past the role others wrote him into. (Comic Loki again!!!!!).

I’m just so relieved to be honest. My boy is back!

It really goes to show how much Loki’s family fucked him up. And the other people around him in Asgard. Look how far he can and will go for you, if you just show him the slightest bit of genuine appreciation. (Though he did do that in the start of Thor 1 tbh, even though they didn’t give him much appreciation for it. The opposite actually)

His parents just used him so much, fucked with his head and his sense of security and trust. And guilted him if he spoke up. Or just yelled at him incoherently for starting to speak up if you’re Odin. Or went into Odinsleep, either way 🤷

Ik we’re not going to get Lokius (na jk ofc we will… 🤡) but I rly appreciate that Sullivan’s isn’t being perused anymore.

I’m glad Loki is like in his healing era or whatever (I can’t find better wording I’m so tired rn) and even if he doesn’t get with Mobius (oh he totally will 🤡) at least he’s leant to understand, love and accept himself.

and then i was happy again bc she left to go listen to records!! and the record shop guy is cute! maybe she thought so. maybe not! she’s just vibing!!

and then i got, “it’s about who” while staring right at mobius.

Something I really like about Loki, even if I don't usually pay attention to it, is the camera. How they add tiny treats for you to catch on if you pay attention to how camera works here.

I don't usually take screenshots, I should start because oh boy, but when Loki learned how to control time slipping and the camera started to move in sync with him and Loki said "It's not about where, when or why" directly staring at this group of people, Sylvie behind him like Loki is one step ahead of her, and Loki says "why" just when Mobius enters the frame and they stare at each other.

It's amazing because Loki says "I can rewrite story" and the damn camera is going counterclockwise! In a series about time!

Personally I am so OB coded after the latest episode.

I too want to be a theoretical physicist, I also want to be a science consultant on Sci-Fi shows/TV, I also want to be a sci-fi writer (even world built and kinda planned one), I too would dedicate over a year and half of my life and lose my spouse over dedicating myself to a task Loki gave me, I too look like a kicked puppy semi-permanently and misread every social cue.

LOKI SEASON 2 EPISODE 5 SPOILERS

I… am so mad right now. They ended the episode literally following the trope that I hate the most with everything in me: When everything is lost and they do lose, but a character finds out how to go back in time and rewrite history. Proceeding to no one(sometimes also the character who did it) remembering what happened and just being like, “oh wow, guess the world didn’t end! Let’s go on with our lives!” And the show ends. I HATE THAT GUYS. OK??!! I HATE IT. It’s such a dumb trope because the conclusion should be everyone knowing everything and then concluding. PLEASE. I HATE IT. Loki was going so so so so so good and I feel like it’s pummeling. But you never know, maybe Marvel will think of something clever and make me take what I said back, but until then, I’m really, really mad. The trope is so clear it hurts. It’s so predictable it’s killing me.

Mobius is in Loki's spot.

He's in the place he stood when Mobius dragged him away and talked to him in this hall. He's in the spot Loki stood in ep5 where he fixed his hair and jacket before going to talk to 'Don'. He's taken off his jacket the same way Loki always does. He's trying to fill the void where he cannot and is instead missing not only Loki, but himself.
