Nothing weird about this, just a middle aged man feeding a homeless boy fast food in the back of his truck.
Scene from the first chapter of our Dungeon Meshi 90s AU fanfic what keeps you here.

Hey guess who finally saw Final Destination 2? LOL. So here's the thing: the truck in the movie? THAT ISN'T A LOG TRUCK. It *is* a truck hauling logs, but it is a flat bed military truck, not an *actual* log truck.
Now I see that what I wrote above makes no sense in the context of the movie, where the logs rolled off the side of the truck bed. When real log trucks lose their load what usually happens is that the compensator falls out and the cab drives out from under the load, which lands on the road in one big pile. Sometimes they remain lashed together and sometimes the change in shape slackens the load binders and they open and the load spills out to the sides. Sometimes the load is heaviest at the front end and that end will remain on the cab bunks and the trailer bunks will roll out from underneath and the load is only partially on the road.
This probably doesn't make a whole lot of sense but the point is that all big trucks are super dangerous and have enormous potential to go very wrong and you should drive around them as if they are loaded freight trains with no brakes. Give them room, keep your eye on them, don't tailgate them, and don't cut them off.

I almost got Final Destination 2ed on my way home from work today. I was driving behind a pickup truck with a dozen huge 2x4s sticking out twice as far as the bed itself, but they weren't tied down, just wedged together under the big toolbox, swinging back and forth. He ended up pulling into a parking lot to resecure them, and I just hope he doesn't get anyone killed later.

Keep a distance behind them AND in front too!
No, you're not in danger of falling logs if you're ahead of the truck. But if you cut them off - say you only give them a normal car's worth of following distance behind you - if you have to stop suddenly YOU WILL BE FLATTENED.
Do not mess around with log trucks!

Just a funny little scenario that I wanted to write out
Horror Movie Night
The bots and Burns had made it a habit to have movie nights at least once a month. With them each having a busy schedule, finding at least one night where they could all relax and watch something together as a family was appealing.
With it being October, the consensus was to put on a horror movie. While things were being set up, Heatwave and Blades were chatting.
"Not going to be scared of Zombie Hamsters in the wall this time?" Heatwave teased.
"Primus! That was one time!" Blades replied.
"It is ok if you get scared, Blades," Chase butted in.
"I'm not going to be scared over a movie!" Blades said, with a small foot stomp to not disrupt the humans.
"Blades, how about you choose the movie?" Chief Burns offered.
"Any movie?" Blades asked.
"Well Cody is older now, so yes, I will allow even the R rated horror movies," Chief Burns said.
"Oh, ok then. Human Centipede," Blades said, pointing a look at Heatwave.
Instantly a look of disgust covered Kade's face. "Oh god anything but that movie please!"
"Uh, yeah Blades. Anything but that please?" Dani seconded.
"Anything but Human Centipede?" Blades clarified.
"YES!"
"Fine. Final Destination 2, I don't like the first one as much," Blades said.
Kade opened his mouth to protest, but Chief Burns raised his hand to stop him. "You did say anything else."
"Fine," Kade grumbled.
The other three bots shared a look of confusion, but brushed it off as everyone settled down to turn on the movie. Cody looked eager, finally being allowed to see the more "mature" horror films. Kade looked exasperated, already done with the night but holding out to eat the popcorn. As the opening scene played with the main character in the car, Blades had an evil look on their face.
"Why is that motorcycle cutting between the lanes?"
"Just watch the movie Chase."
"There are so many law breaks in this movie! That man is drinking a beer while driving! And her seatbelt was off! This truly is a horror movie."
"Chase we love the commentary, but I'm trying to eat popcorn in peace."
"That muscle car has so much pollution coming out of it. Why don't they have it checked?"
"This movie seems boring."
"It's not even been a minute, give it some time you will see the horror," Blades replied to Heatwave.
"Those chains on the logs don't look up to code..."
"Ouch hot beverage on your lap," Cody said, "I hope he doesn't cras-"
The room went silent as the movie progressed. Looks of pure horror looking spreading across the bots faces, as Blades just smiled. Cody hid his face in his father's shoulder as the scene played out. One the destruction on scene ended with it snapping back to the main character alive, Blades spoke up again.
"Ya know, the only CGI in this movie was for the logs bouncing more, and the extra pigeons in another scene."
After the movie ended, Chief Burns took Cody upstairs to get ready for bed, as the rest remained down in the bunker. Kade yawned, stretching his limbs after staying seated for the entire movie. Dani was already asleep, snoring lightly. Graham turned around to face the bots.
"So, what did you think of the movie?"
"Blades what the frag is wrong with you?"
"A lot."

I want to share the objectively silly thing I just did in Tears of the Kingdom, because I’m kinda proud of it.
I was over by Satori Mountain, at Rutile Lake, which is a great place for all kinds of resources, but I was specifically scooping up the brightcrabs which appear in storms. And I noticed that the lightning had downed a ton of trees (and Evermeans) and there was free high-quality lumber absolutely everywhere,
and I was like, well. It feels bad to just let that go to waste…
especially since I owe Bolson a ton of tree trunks to rebuild Lurelin Village.
(I got sidetracked, and then sidetracked from that sidetrack, etc. etc. My playing style is “adhd chaos gremlin.”)
Thus began my self-imposed quest: transport my lumber from the midwestern Hyrule Ridge to the southeastern Necluda coast. And I succeeded!
Tumblr media
(Saga continues under the cut)
Step 1 was to slap the logs into a tidy bundle and walk them to Outskirt Stable using Ultrahand. Easy, but tedious. On the map above, that part of the route is in orange.
Step 2 was to construct an improved form of transportation.
My cart horse is a very good girl, who is more than strong enough to pull the raw weight. My first attempt was a simple horsecart:
Tumblr media
Unfortunately, the towing harness uses flexible chains instead of rigid shafts. We had barely left the stableyard when the mild downhill slope made the cart begin to overtake her. I stopped before she could get squashed, whereupon the cart promptly collapsed under its own physics. I gave my horse some treats, returned her to the stable, and started over using Zonai parts.
It was a challenge to build something that could support the sheer weight while staying under the parts limit. If the wheels couldn’t handle the load distribution, they would simply pop off. Here’s my final design, which hauls 11 logs. Look at how low the wheels’ connection points are sagging inside the tires:
