Study tips when you want to study but you can’t

You know it. You sit down at the table, spread out the textbooks around you, start reading the text and get stuck reading one paragraph over and over again because your head isn't working. What now?

- okay, first take a deep breath

- drink some water - honestly when was the last time you drank water?

- reward yourself for your work so far - how about a piece of chocolate?

- put on a playlist that helps you concentrate - any lofi playlist on youtube helps me

- try pomodoro method - try to concentrate for twenty five minutes and then take a ten minute break (it’s longer than usual, but you deserve it)

- make some tea or coffee

- light a candle

- straighten things on the table

- open the window

- if none of that helped… Get out! fresh air and movement will help clear your head

Are you back? Great! You can try again… Still not working? Doesn’t matter. Maybe you need to take a day off. You must have studied yesterday and the day before. You deserve a break and you can try again tomorrow.
