i'm OBSESSED with minister of ministers ren... he is someone who wants SO BADLY to be the manipulative leader in control of everything, never lifting a finger and making others work for him, but it doesn't work because nobody takes him seriously. except, at the same time, it kinda does work because people do what he says, but because they're his friends and find it funnier to do what he wants and be annoying about it, than not do it at all. I like to think he doesn't realise this, thinking his manipulation tactics have worked, not realising that people are mining resources and improving infrastructure for him out of Friendship and Pity. he'd be annoyed they don't take him seriously, but internally think "hm! these PLEBEIANS don't realise they are falling right into my trap!" completely unaware of the trap he's about to fall into due to his own mistakes (exploded by creeper whilst sorting chests + cleo's prank). he never learns though, he just keeps going, the lesson never sinks in for him.

it's an interesting comparison to ren the king - someone who was originally (somewhat) respected but his ego got the best of him and the more he tried to gain power back, the deeper the hole he dug himself into. they both want power but lack it, but in such different ways. king in a country tired of monarchy vs project manager as an anime villain (and both of them are pathetic)

first tumblr post! And my first time ever using tumblr :D This is the piece I drew for my profile pic. I purposefully tried to make it readable on a small scale but you still lose a lot of quality. I really like the way I did the lighting though, it makes it stand out.

Not based off an exact mantis species, as you can probably tell by the fantastical eye colour. It is based primarily off of a Giant Asian Mantis (hierodula membranacea) and the neck “hood” is from those dead leaf mantises have, but the overall design is from my childhood praying mantis toy/character (who wore a little necklace!). They’re gonna be my kinda mascot for this account.

when i say i studied english because i couldn't major in gakuen alice, i'm only half joking... i mean obviously i love reading and i love literature and all that but there's professors who teach tolkien's work, who specialize in one particular author and write thick analytical books about poets and the like. studying english or literature in general as an academic often means gaining specialty in one or two authors. there's academics ceaselessly devoted to beowulf or to the iliad. if it seems like i have encyclopedic knowledge of ga at times, that's because this work is one i've decided to fixate on the way my professors have fixated on nathaniel hawthorne, emily dickinson, shakespeare, or henry james. that's all.

Zodd- Belgian Ardennes horse

Absolute UNITS.

Enormous draft horses built for pulling trees and logging. Not the tallest of the drafts but incredibly powerful, and otherwise pretty chilled out horses, of course you decide to piss it off, and there's no outrunning that thing.

Very zodd shaped animal

Grunbeld - Shire horse.

I chose a shire purely because of their height, if I'm honest,it's one of their most prominent features and the same goes with grunbeld, they're HUGE.

Locus- friesian.

Practically the same picture.

Look at the man, look at the horse. There's no difference. No, nothing.

Locus as anything but a black coated friesian is immediately wrong.

Irvine- hanoverian horse

Primarily chosen for their altheticism and being a horse used in show hunting. What Is Irvine? A hunter, of course.

Rakshas- Selle Francais

I chose the Selle because of their athletic abilities, agility, and natural compliance.
