In an AU where macaque was fully possessed by lbd in s3 instead of wukong, what would his "personality" be like? The mayor's unhinged smile and wukong's silent, rigid fighting style are all designed with the intention to unnerve the audience since it is extremely uncharacteristic (esp for wukong). Sure, you could have macaque become expressionless like wukong too, but that wouldnt be too different from the usual unmemorable villain henchman - he wouldnt have any empathy point to fall back to like MK toward possessed wukong. No, you would want him to strike where he was supposed to, and lbd resurrected macaque to counter one person only: wukong. What would stay wukong's hand the most? Definitely not a souless man carrying out the enemy's orders.

...but what about an imitation so, so close to what once was? A macaque of the past before it all went terribly wrong. A voice fond and exasperated with wukong's mischief, a smile soft and unguarded, hands that hold onto wukong like the play-wrestling they used to do instead of claws that tear and shred. Wukong punched him and "macaque" treated it no more seriously than a playful shove, giggling a "quit it, you dang peach" while his flesh caved in so easily. But the moment the king held him down, final blow about to be delivered, this macaque switched to the desperate, fearful friend the day of his last death, fingers grasping wukong's arm, eyes begging for the understanding and mercy that wasnt granted before.

Wukong had killed and regretted killing the macaque of the past, mourned then forced to fight the macaque of the present. His fist faltered, his grip loosened, just enough for the other to deal a chilling, deadly strike.

Let's ignore that I pulled an all nighter for this, I'm actually quiet proud of how this turned out! Especially considering I've never made something like this before, I made it on my phone, and my video editing knowledge is close to zero.

I PROBABLY would have finished it quicker, if it hadn't taken me so long to find and download the clips I wanted -.-

Anyways! Inspiration for this came from a short edit I saw on Instagram that used the same song, song is "Headlock" by Imogen Heap, and the show is Lego Monkie Kid (obviously).
