Warning below is me ranting about Sun Wukong, Macaque, and Mk!

So thanks to others translations, I have seen a few scenes with English dub. So now I am going to rant about a small thought process I came up with cause I do that a lot.

“Our birthstone”

They talk about the birthstone, which they both came out of. It would mean they are related, in my opinion then, which means they are brothers!

Throughout the season, we watch these two bonding slowly and learning about each other. They become closer and having brotherly bonding time even if it is unhealthy!

So can it be a triple brother effect?! Can Macaque please be a part of this?! They all have a part that can easily be fit with how they act.

I know people prefer to ship Sun Wukong with Macaque, which I can see if I like how it is portrayed, but hear me out about this!

Wukong being the eldest brother, being a idol and wanting to make everything better. He is protective of people he is close to, yet never wants to fail his brave facade. Wukong tries to be a role model to all younger people, yet once he does something he knows is bad, punishes himself for it. He overachieves things because he feels the needs to do better, feeling the need to take the parental role to his siblings.

Macaque being the middle kid. He looked up to Wukong for protection and support as his older brother. Sadly, it changed once Wukong "left" him, thinking he was overlooked and not wanted. Macaque was always overlooked and not cared for by the Brotherhood, so with Wukong gone, things got worse. He plays his part, yet he is emotionally unstable. He puts on a facade like Wukong, yet he does vent through manipulation and saying his feelings onto other. He probably is dealing with "Middle Child Syndrome" you could say, overshadowed, quiet, and rebellious.

Then there is the youngest, Mk. He is the baby to Wukong and Macaque, the one they need to protect and keep safe. Mk acts more happy on the outside, he is an extrovert that loves to meet new people. He is the creative one, the one that is more sensitive to things. Mk clings to older ones, as he needs reassurance of a parental figure as he grew up with being an adopted baby. However, with more trauma, he has been more worried about his future, trying to hide his emotions and failing. This kid needs love and needs someone to help guide him throughout his journey.

Yet, we still have no idea where exactly Macaque came from. The only information we gained is he has similar powers...

Hopefully, the season 5 special or season 6 could explain the connection Macaque has with the magic and with the other two monkeys! Why does he look like the others, and are there more?! Like he is probably not born from the stone that Wukong and Mk was made from, so where did he come from and what happened to him?!

I have so many questions, but one thing is that I like the triple sibling vibes they all give me! The triple monkeys, come on please are there more here that like this idea?

Bonus thoughts I've had on the"Nüwa & Fuxi being MK (and maybe a little Wukong's) parents" idea

Been bouncing ideas off of @soniclozdplove with these.

Current family Tree is a little complicated:

Summary:

Fuxi and Nuwa created the first Stone Monkeys together and consider their creations akin to children. Despite many tries, they could never bare biological children.

After a few generations; Shihua (reincarnation of celestial Princess Songzi) and Ye Lin marry. After the Fifth Pillar broke, both had assumed the other died in the Great Flood; and chose to sacrifice their bodies to the earth in order to create Stone Eggs that would hatch many years on into newborn Stone Monkeys.

During Shihua's meditation to create her Egg; Nüwa contacted her through astral projection and asked if Shihua (the only soul powerful enough) to carry the soul of Nüwa and Fuxi's unable-to-be-born baby. Shihua accepted her patron Goddess's request with great honour and enthusiasm.

Wukong is spiritually Nüwa and Fuxi's child, but biologically Shihua and Ye Lin's.

After a particularly bad Cycle, Nüwa chose to create her Harbinger in hopes of stopping/elevating the Cycles of Death/Rebirth. Fuxi discovered this and sacrificed himself to spare the innocent soul from such a grim role. This unknowingly allowed Fuxi to retain his memories of the last Cycle, and make his way towards FFM to care for Wukong when he hatched.

In the next (LMK canon) Cycle, Nüwa sadly created the Harbinger from a piece of stone from Wukong's egg = creating who would become MK/Xiaotian. Her and Fuxi's second baby.

Fuxi's influence allowed Wukong to be able to meet MK in this lifetime, and become his mentor. This indirect influence breaks the Cycle for good, accomplishing Nüwa's intended goal without losing either of their children.

The petrified form of Shihua's mate Ye Lin is discovered under FFM after the events of S4 destroyed part of the mountain. And within Ye Lin's body laid Luzhen's unhatched Stone Egg. Luzhen is confirmed through genetic testing to be Wukong's full-blooded brother. Wukong is very confused.

With little Luzhen along for the Journey; the gang decide to seek out the creator of the Stone Monkeys; Fuxi himself, since Nüwa is still supporting the Pillar. When they find him they realise;

Fuxi is a giant ape-monkey-man.

Upon seeing him; Wukong and Macaque exclaim "Elder Shitougushi?!". Apparently the "old monkey" who inspired Wukong to seek out Subodhi all those millennia ago hadn't actually died, but was just running from the Underworld's collectors.

Fuxi looks a disturbing amount like MK's monkey-form...

Turns out Nuwa wasnt the only one who thought to astral project themselves to a royal stone monkey.

Needless to say, Fuxi has A LOT of questions to answer.

+More light-hearted points:

Nüwa's genetics didn't even try with MK. That boy is his daddy's all way around.

Nüwa and Yudi (the Jade Emperor) may or may not be genetic siblings. This is because whilst they were part of the same clan, they lived in a "time where men knew only their mothers and not their fathers" (ty Xiran Zhao for this quote). So it was just easier to assume the other familiar snake was a sibling than not.

When Nüwa allied herself with a group of rebellious demons in the time of "The Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors", she was punished by being banished to the Earth she and her allies had fought so viciously for.

Despite their rocky relationship, the Jade Emperor hadn't the heart to execute his sister. She had been the one to introduce him to his wife after all.

Fuxi is a really private monkey-man, and this accidentally caused confusion among mortal storytellers on exactly who he was. Hard to get concrete info on the Father of Invention when he's a literal slippery bigfoot. A few saw Nüwa beside a fellow snake person (a much younger Jade Emperor) and assumed that was her husband Fuxi. When the not-yet-emperor tried to say "dude, thats my sister" the storytellers doubled down and assumed something "Greek Mythology" was going on. Nüwa and Fuxi won't stop laughing about this mistake in between the disgusted retching.

Whenever something unexpected and/or chaotic happens on Earth; the Jade Emperor mutters his sister's name cus it's usually her doing.

You know how MK has a crippling phobia of spiders? Well... spiders are Fuxi's fave animal. He literally learned how to make one of the first fishing nets from watching a spider spin a web. He just thinks they're neat. :3

I get that they all did it together, not just mk's family but everyone on earth, in order to spread the power between more forces to help stabilize the pillar and use the stones to mend it in order to not have the cycle repeat like Nüwa wants

but if mk truly 𝘸𝘢𝘴 the "last stone" or the "missing piece" in order to mend the pillar of heaven

then why didn't he have a bigger role in its fixing?

I don't really understand

they made a WHOLE episode (plus season 5 as a whole) about the importance of mk as the final piece to fix things to make sure things are right

and yes they found the other way™ that the snake dude (CANNOT FOR THE LIFE OF ME FIND HIS NAME) couldn't find, and introduced khaos into the world

yet I feel that somehow the fact that mk didn't really help that much (power/magicwise) after he came out of the pillar 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘴 something.

Yangwu Jin is the Granddaughter of Sanzuwu, the last Celestial Sun Crow - Jin was given life by Bìxiá Yuanjun (the Goddess of Dawn and Destiny) to one day take over the mantel and ultimately ease the stress on the Goddess' oldest friend.

Jin is enthusiastic and kind-hearted, always regarding others with the grace and patience that comes with being a Celestial. She’s fascinated by those outside of the Celestial sphere and mortal life in general, once you get to know her some of the ‘poise and restrictions’ seem to vanish - she’s naturally curious, talkative and very caring for those she holds dear.

Liu Xing:

Liu Xing, or just 'Xing' for short, hatched from a meteorite and was raised in the heavenly realm. They were trained as an archer under the descendants of the snake zodiac. Known as the 'Shooting Star' or 'Heaven's mercenary'. Basicaly their 'go there do this' errand dude, but with a bow. Something something, he was banished from heaven for insubordination and is currently homeless(ish). Does hoarding human junk in an abandomed shack in a forest count as housing? Free real estate-

This is such a fascinating question to me, because the reality is that everyone stims. Neurotypical. Neurodivergent. Abled bodied. Disabled. Doesn't matter- everyone stims. The difference is that people with different neurodivergences or disabilities might stim more frequently or noticably than what's considered the "appropriate standard".

THAT SAID-- Kingsley is a bit of a foot tapper and a finger tapper. Impatience and boredom tend to bring this out of him the most. He masks when he feels as though he needs to, so in very rigid circumstances where fidgetting and stimming are frowned upon. But otherwise he doesnt even think about it.

What's their guilty pleasure?
