hi angel!!!
sevika and vampire reader again because i can't get them out of my head <3333 can we get vampire reader turning sevika into a vampire and how their lives would be after her transition?
black reader pleaseee <3
yes yes yes let's do it! i'm going to include an idea mars, @sexysapphicshopowner gave me too! so be sure to check out their blog if u like the bucket list bits <3
same disclaimers as always with this series! i don't know much about vampire lore, so i'm just guessing and making shit up as it goes haha. also, i'm white, so i'll try my best to make this an obviously black reader, but if i mess anything up lmk!! i'll change it asap :)
man and minors dni
sevika's getting older.
a few grey hairs here, a few new wrinkles there, some new aches and pains she'd never had before-- it's an inevitable part of life. at least it is for most people.
but sevika's got you, now, and you've got an out for her-- a very permanent out, but an out nonetheless.
for a while now, she's been pressuring you to change her. about a month ago at work, she very narrowly dodged a fatal blow, and you started taking her demands seriously.
but-- there's a few things you want her to do before you guys go through with it.
you didn't get the chance to live out your final mortal desires before you were changed. you know just how depressing it can be to mourn being human, especially when you don't get to properly say goodbye. so, you've been helping sevika make a 'bucket list' of sorts-- all the things she wants to do one last time before she won't be able to do them anymore.
soaking in the sun, wearing silver jewelry, drinking a glass (or bottle) of whiskey-- stuff like that.
she's been steadily checking items off the list, and now you're down to the last few, and she wants to check 'em off all in one go.
she wants to eat a big, full meal-- steak and potatoes and a slice of chocolate cake on the side. then, she wants to feed you, one last time. and finally she wants to do what all humans are eventually bound to do: she wants to die.
that last one makes you nervous.
changing her requires that you drain her completely before you kiss her back to life. there's going to be a solid ten or so minutes where she's completely dead-- and she's apparently looking forward to it.
"i wanna know what it's like. see if i feel anything, see if i see anything." she says with a curious shrug.
it makes you nauseous to think about.
the entire reason you're doing this in the first place is so sevika never has to die. the idea of her body going still and cold beneath you, of her eyes glazing over and staring off into space, of her breaths ceasing, it hurts you to even fucking think about.
you're trying not to think about it at all.
"babe." sevika says to you over the table as you place her plate in front of her. you look down at her, smiling, and she reaches up to grab your hand. "this look fucking amazing." she says, not even looking at the plate. you snort. "you look... nervous." she says. you groan and slump down into her lap, scooping up a bite of potatoes and shoving it into her mouth. she chuckles.
"i'm trying not to freak the fuck out." you say. sevika hums, grabbing the fork from you to tear into her steak.
"it'll be fine babe." she mumbles around a mouthful. she groans. "fuck, this is divine."
"enjoy it." you say. she grins.
"i'm trying to savor it but i kinda wanna wolf it down and get your teeth in me." she says. you snort.
"eat slower." you demand. she giggles.
"baby." she says, putting her fork down to hold your hips. you lean forward, pressing your forehead against her shoulder. "i promise it'll be okay. it's gonna be fucking amazing, actually. just think about it-- in a few hours i'll be able to float around with you, we can start hunting together, i'm gonna be able to stay up all night with you. think of all the endless sex we'll have once i've got vampire stamina." she says, kissing your head. you snort.
"i'm just. i really don't want you to die." you say. sevika hums, rubbing her hand up and down your back.
"i know. but it's gotta happen one way or another. it's either this-- you killing me with your sexy fucking teeth then fucking me back to life or whatever--" you giggle. "-- or, i die at work or i get sick or something and you're not there to save me. and then we'll both be miserable forever." she says.
you sigh. she's right, of course, but you're still worried. you think you will be until she blinks back to life.
sevika reaches behind your back to grab another bite of her food. with her free hand, she reaches up to gently rub your cheek.
"you're everything to me, you know that right?" she asks around another mouthful of steak. you smile.
"feeling's mutual." you say. sevika smiles, gently toying with the tiny curl near your ear, pulling it straight then watching it coil back up again when she releases it.
"and i wanna spend infinity with you. if you'll have me." she says. you snort, and flick her head.
"course i will." you say. sevika grins.
"so there's no problem." she says.
you'd be lying if you said there wasn't at least a small part of you that's looking forward to tonight. you've been fasting for a month-- in preparation to drain sevika. you're ravenous. and sevika's your favorite fucking meal.
especially now, with her all glowy and happy after a big meal, a little tipsy from the bottle of wine you'd bought her-- she looks delectable.
she grins up at you from her spot on the bed. "hungry?" she asks. you chuckle.
"starving." you say, licking your lips. "i gotta say. i'm really gonna miss your blood."
sevika chuckles. "we'll find something else you like. together." she says, reaching up to thread her fingers through yours. you sigh, leaning down to kiss her, gently trailing your fangs over her lower lip. sevika shudders.
"c'mon, babe. i'm ready." she says, kissing the back of your hand, tilting her chin up, and widening her legs. you laugh.
"i'm not fucking you tonight." you say. sevika gasps.
"what?! why not?" she asks, pouting. you snort.
"because, i gotta stay focused." you say. sevika groans petulantly.
"but!" she tries. you press a finger to her lips.
"i'll fuck you when you wake up." you promise. sevika sighs.
"that works, i guess. is vampire sex any different than human sex?" she asks. you giggle.
"i dunno, it's been so long since i was a human it's all a bit of a blur now. you'll have to tell me." you say. sevika smiles.
"alright." she says. "c'mon." she says, tilting her chin up again. you giggle, leaning down to press a few kisses over her pulse point. sevika sighs, relaxing into the bed beneath her. "i love you more than i've ever loved anything or anyone, you know." she says shakily. you smile against her neck, licking her artery.
"you're sure?" you ask, one final time. sevika reaches up to hold your hips like she always does when she's beneath you.
"more sure than i've ever been about anything in my life."
"i love you sev." you whisper.
"i love you too, baby." she responds.
you take a deep breath, and sink your teeth into her throat.
sevika shudders and sighs, her nails digging into your skin as you retract your teeth and lick against her wounds, before you start sucking down her blood.
she tastes so fucking good. you're tempted to stop, just so you can keep her around as a bloodbag for a bit longer, but you know she'd be pissed if you did. so, instead, you let your instincts take over, and you start to devour her.
sevika's squeaking and gasping beneath you, her hands clawing into your flesh, her thighs squeezing together as you drink.
"th-that's it, honey, drain me. take it all from me. make me yours. make me yours." she whimpers. you growl against her neck, reaching down to hold her shoulder, gently tracing your thumb back and forth on her collar bone. sevika sighs. "c-can't believe you aren't gonna fuck me, shit! gonna make me cum in my p-pants." she says. you groan and readjust, shoving your thigh between sevika's. she laughs as she starts grinding down against you. "fuck i love you." she mumbles.
sevika cums a second later, shivering underneath you as you continue to slurp her down. you're messy-- messier than you've ever been before. something about the fact that you're changing her is making you fucking feral. you can taste the rush of hormones as she cums, and you shiver on top of her at the taste.
sevika goes limp beneath you, her grip loosening as she tries to catch her breath. she's getting lightheaded and dizzy, you can tell from the way she keeps giggling.
"f-fuck." she mutters. you hum against her. "feel drunk 'r somethin'." she says. you snort. "'m so fuckin' in love with you. you gotta marry me now, y'know." she says. you chuckle.
sevika's breaths start getting shaky, the hands on your hips slipping down to her sides. you reach out to hold her hand, intertwining your fingers again. she hums.
a minute later, and all of sevika's sounds stop. you can still hear her heartbeat, but it's much slower and softer than it usually is. your stomach flips, and you continue to drink from her.
when the gentle rhythm of her heart stops completely, you nearly choke with fear.
it's happening. fuck, it's happening.
you take a few more sips from her, draining her completely as she grows cold beneath you, and then you pull away with a gasp.
the usual high that accompanies a recent feed is nowhere to be found, dread taking its place.
sevika's eyes are shut, her skin clammy and cold, and she's not breathing, not moving, her heart completely silent.
you take a second to wipe your face of her blood, licking it off your arm, looking down at your girlfriend. she looks... peaceful. you hope she's feeling peaceful too.
you wanted to give her a solid minute or so to experience death, but your anxiety's too high. you only manage a few seconds before you lean down, cupping her face between both of your hands, and leaning down to gently, shakily press your lips against hers.
sevika's lips are cold and unresponsive.
you start to freak out.
you kiss her again, licking your tongue against her lip.
she stays still.
you gasp, sitting up to tap her cheek with your palm. "sevika." you call. she doesn't respond. tears start to well up in your eyes as you duck back down, sucking her lip into your mouth, running your tongue against it.
she still doesn't move.
you begin to panic.
"sevika!" you shout against her mouth. you bite her bottom lip, then follow it up with a quick peck. sevika remains still beneath you, and tears begin to well in your eyes. "wake up, you bitch!" you cry against her as you press your mouth to her again.
suddenly, sevika gasps and snaps upwards, her lips moving against yours, her hands coming up to hold your hips. you sigh in relief against her, and sevika flips you, pinning you to the bed. you squeal.
"oh thank fuck." you whisper up at her. she grins down at you.
"that is a hell of a way to wake up." she says. you chuckle, a few stray tears escaping your eyes as relief floods your body, and you reach up to grab her by the hair and pull her back down against you.
sevika chuckles against your lips. "you really thought i'd leave you behind?" she asks. you sob.
"fuck off. you had me worried!" you say. sevika snorts.
"i don't think you even fully let me die, babe." she says. "could hear you the whole time."
you giggle, and sevika gently swipes your tears away.
"how do you feel?" you ask. sevika grins, her fangs descending, and you gasp. fuck that's hot. you think.
"honestly?" she asks. you nod up at her. "better than i've ever felt before. what did you do to me?" she asks. you giggle.
"exactly what you asked me to!" you say. sevika grins.
"i didn't know i'd feel so... refreshed!" she says. you chuckle.
"i'm so fucking glad you woke up." you say. "i was gonna kill you if you died on me."
sevika snorts. "how would that work, exactly?" she asks. you groan and shrug, then reach up to pull her against you again, hugging her to your chest. sevika hums, nuzzling against your neck.
"i love you so fucking much." she says. "so fucking much."
"let's get married." you say. sevika grins against your neck.
"that's my line." she says. you giggle and blindly reach out to pat down your bedside table, pulling the drawer open and fumbling for the tiny box you've been hiding for months now. you pull it out and pull sevika away from your neck by her ponytail, before shoving it in her hand.
"i'm dead fucking serious." you say. sevika blinks, her eyes going wide.
"fuck-- really?" she asks. you nod.
"i mean. we're already spending eternity together, what's a ring and some paperwork?" you ask. sevika grins, then tears the box from your hand, tears welling in her eyes.
she opens it and bursts into laughter as she reveals the gold ring, strung on a gold chain so she can wear it all the time. you smile as you watch her squint, trying to make out the inscription.
your secret admirer it reads. sevika bursts into laughter.
"oh fuck-- i love you so fucking much." she cries. you grin up at her.
"yeah?" you ask. "is that a yes?"
"of course it's a fucking yes! are you kidding me?" she asks. you grin, and sevika swoops down to press her lips against yours. "thank you." she mumbles. "thank you thank you thank you thank you."
"for what?" you ask. "i should be thanking you!" you exclaim.
"for stalking me! for falling in love with me and being so fucking sweet and all the gifts and how much you take care of me and changing me and being my fiance and--"
you cut her off with another kiss. sevika hums against you.
"i love you." she finishes.
"i love you too. for infinity." you say. sevika grins.
"for infinity." she agrees, pulling the chain over her neck. you smile as the ring dangles down over you, gently tugging her closer by it.
"you want me to show you how to float?" you ask. sevika grins.
"fuck yes. but first i want to pay you back for that orgasm." she says, leaning down to kiss you.
you giggle, and sevika grins, and right before your lips connect, you think that even forever with sevika might not be enough time.

Wilbur's Crows - A Dream SMP Drabble
A/N: Have a little fluff for the soul, featuring Phil's Chat! - Minty
TW: Crying? (Lmk if I need to tag anything else!)
-------------------------------------
Sunrise bled through the white curtains, slowly melting away the peaceful starry night into a new day. Creatures stirred out of their slumber, and monsters retreating back to the darkness from whence they came, a few slowly turning to ash and bust. The smell of burning flesh ran potent through the forest, a smell that meant safety to those living within, a smell they were more than used to, blind to. The ground began to warm under the sun's gaze, the cool breeze of night turning to warmth. A warm hug mother nature gave to her children, easing them away from dreamland.
Beside a window, a crib rocked slightly back and forth as a breeze blew through the room. A messy brown-haired tyke held a teddy bear protectively to his chest, sleeping soundly. The light growing brighter behind his eyes, he shifted uncomfortably. Finding no relief, a noise of annoyance rose from his throat as he buried his face into the stuffed animal.
Swiftly, hearing the distress, a few black crows landed on the windowsill overlooking the three-year-old. Some brandished shiny necklaces they wore as a badge of honor. Some were simply bare. A crow to the left of the other two put down a shiny glimmering rock from its beak down by its feet, putting the gift aside for now. Looking to the side, the left crow could see the one on the far right putting down a large chunk of a diamond before the one in the middle met its gaze. Together, all three stared down at the toddler in concern for a moment as the small human squirmed, his chest heaving in breath like he was about to cry.
The two crows looked to the right one with the badge, wondering what they should do. The right one hopped over toward the headboard of the crib, taking in the child. Then, they let out a loud call. "Caw!" The loud noises made the small human's eyes snap open to see a black crow staring down at him, cawing. "Caw! Caw!"
The other two chimed in occasionally, adding to the caw-rus. That was, until the toddler in both annoyance and a little fear clutched his teddy closer and began to cry. The two on the windowsill looked at each other in panic - something was wrong with the small human, it was crying! - and began to caw louder to draw the attention of their owner.
As the door creaked open, all crows silenced, watching their owner as he entered. Watching for any sign of what he wanted them to do. The blonde locks fell a little past his shoulders, with kind blue eyes. He approached the child, reaching his hand down and gently brushing any hair out of his son's face. "Shh, it's okay mate, everything's okay..." When the child's eyes met his father's he silenced, simply looking up at him. Phil smiled as he moved to pick him up, holding the toddler against his hip. Wilbur's grip failed on the teddy during the transition, dropping on the ground as the left-sided crow flew down to try and grab it, flapping its wings wildly to get the surprisingly heavy stuffed animal in the air. Phil let out a warm chuckle as he kneeled down to take it, the crow backing off. After the small child got settled in his arms, he raised a finger to his lips and kissed it, pressing it to his son's nose as he giggled. "There's the Wilbur I know." Phil cooed.
Turning toward the window, his crows looked on silently, wanting to help but unsure as of how. "He's okay, Chat. Wilbur's okay." The caws returned in relief at the statement, breaking the somewhat silence. The crow with the necklace flew over toward Wilbur, trying to land on Phil's shoulder before the tyke waved his arms in protest and annoyance.
"Caw!"
"Caw!" Wilbur mimicked. "Caw!"
Phil chuckled at his son's outburst, trying his best to sound stern. "Now Wil, we don't wanna try to hurt Chat, do we?"
As Wilbur turned to face his father as he talked, the crow in question changed course, landing on top of Wilbur's head with a "caw". Phil tried to hold back his laughter at it all as the door creaked once more, someone else entering the room. Their voice was warm like Phil's but soft, comforting. "So I'm guessing Wilbur's okay?"
"Yeah, just a little grumpy this morning," Phil answered.
"Mumza!" A crow chanted.
She walked further into the room, behind her husband, giving him a small peck on the cheek. "Hm, I wonder where he gets it from..." She teased. Phil turned to face his wife with a smirk, leaning over to give her a proper kiss on the lips. As Wilbur moved closer, he could see a silver glint around her neck.
-----------------------------------
"Uhm, Wilbur..." Ranboo began as he looked up from the crafting table and out the window of their van. "Wilbur they're here again."
Wilbur sighed from his spot on the hammock, arm over his eyes. "You've gotta be joking. I told him to stop sending them!"
"Honestly? I don't think he has any control over them, they just kinda... do what they want." Ranboo shrugged.
Grumbling, frustrated, Wilbur marched out of the door of his burger van and toward the thousands of black crows lining the trees of the surrounding forest. A few brandishing those unmistakable necklaces, he knew exactly whose crows these were. He told Phil multiple times he was fine. He told Phil multiple times he didn't need a babysitter and that he wanted to change. Phil told him multiple times that he trusted him.
Ha, 'Trusted him'. He was sending in his fucking bird surveillance!
If scaring them didn't work, talking to them didn't work...
He pulled out a water bucket from his inventory, the murder of crows staring down at him as he stared up at them. "This is your final fucking warning, go away!"
Spinning he launched the water into the air as it came splashing down on top of the tree. Caws rang out amongst the forest as a few gave up and flew away, but the rest simply flapped their wings and flew a little higher, soaking wet... and mad.
"Oh Shit."
Wilbur's eyes widened as a murder of crows flew toward him as full speed, knocking him over onto the grass. Their talons caught on his skin and clothes, scratching and leaving him sore. Blinded by a sea of feathers and black, Wilbur struggled to his feet, coughing out a few feathers that landed in his mouth before finally getting his bearings, the murder traveling to settling on top of the van. After shaking himself free of feathers, guilt weighed on his heart - they were only following their owner, after all.
"Look, I'm sorry Chat. I... I didn't mean to hurt you, I... uhm..." Wilbur sighed. "I just don't like being watched, okay?" As Wilbur turned to leave, he heard the fluttering of wings and saw the crows surround his feet, one perched on his head and one on each shoulder. He mustered a bit of an awkward smile - it was strange that he was literally talking to birds. His father's birds, but still. "Thanks, Chat."
Walking off deeper into the forest, Wilbur could hear the flapping of wings behind him, and found himself smiling. Maybe it had some weird psychological effect from trying to run them off his property for almost a week straight... but his father's crows were growing on him.
They settled wherever he went as he worked collecting wood and finding some cows to bring back, the flapping always a telltale sign. One always liked settling on top of his head, and after a few hours, Wilbur allowed it. Chat was a silent presence, but not an unwelcome one to Wilbur, who didn't have many friends besides Ranboo to hang around.
As the day came to a close, he walked back toward the van. "I'm guessing I'll see you all tomorrow, then?" He got a few caws in response as the murder took off into the sky and over the horizon, back towards his father's home in the artic. One crow remained - the one perched in his brown curls. "Go on then, you'll see me tomorrow after all." Wilbur gestured toward the others. "And please learn to listen to Phil, okay? You guys could've gotten yourselves lost trying to find me."
The crow landed on Wilbur's outstretched arm, and for the first time, Wilbur could see the crow had something in its beak. A grand silver necklace with a black stone pendant, that shimmer silver in the sunset's glow. Wilbur's eyes narrowed, scanning it. "Is... Is this...?" He looked up toward the crow, who let out a caw and flew away.
Wilbur ran his finger over the pendant that he'd never seen before, and yet he felt like he'd known it his whole life.
Mom.

Always Waiting- Chapter One
Always Waiting - Steve Harrington x Henderson!Reader
Tumblr media
Always Waiting Masterlist
Summary: Things are getting weird in Hawkins. Will Byers is missing, Nancy insists on Y/N and Barb coming to one of Steve “the hair” Harrington’s parties
Pairing: Steve Harrington x Henderson!Reader
A/N: Hello!! The first part is here! I decided I better get it done before I’m sucked into studying for finals. This part is fairly boring, and I apologize but I swear the next part, the action (somewhat) starts. This first part was just kind of an introduction to it all. This series is going to follow the plot of stranger things pretty closely, from the first episode to the very last. I'm still debating whether or not I want it to be split up into 3 different sections or if I just want it to be like one big part. Anyways please enjoy it! I hope you stick around for part 2 which I can assure you will be much better than part 1! Criticism is always welcomed and lmk if you want to be added to the tag list!
Warning: Language, some underage drinking, asshole Steve, blood? brief brief brief mentions of *sex noises*
Word count: 1.9k
~November 6th, 1983~
You wouldn’t say you hated Steve Harrington, no, definitely not hated. How could you hate someone who used to be your best friend? Sure, you didn’t like the guy, but you could never hate him.
Your childhood was filled with memories of you and Steve. Your moms would call you guys “childhood sweethearts.” By the time middle school came, you and Steve started drifting apart; getting new friend groups, finding other hobbies and activities. Of course, if you guys had a class together you guys would sit next to each other and talk and laugh or if you saw each other in the hallways you would always stop to talk.
When you said goodbye to middle school and hello to high school, you didn’t realize you were also saying goodbye to your best friend.
Steve became “king Steve” and you became the “theatre dork.” You went from barely smiling at each other in the hallways to not even looking up at each other while passing one another. You guys were strangers.
That was until Nancy came around. You and Barb met Sophomore year in Miss. Click’s class. Barb, being best friends with Nancy meant that they were a package deal. You and Nancy had nothing against each other, your brothers were best friends after all, but you guys just didn’t click the way you and Barb did.
You started getting the books out of your locker when you heard Nancy and Barb both approaching.
“Barb it is not like that, Y/N will you tell Barb it is not like that?” Nancy questioned.
“Please tell me we aren’t still talking about Steve Harrington.” You groaned.
Nancy and Barb couldn’t stop talking about how Steve might like Nancy and how he called her and blah blah blah. It’s all they talked about for the past week. You were sick of it.
The trio made their way over to Nancy’s locker
“I mean, he likes me but not like that.” Nancy insisted.
Nancy put in her locker combination and opened her locker. A note fell out, no doubt from Steve.
“You were…saying?” Barb said. You rolled your eyes. Nancy said her goodbyes and ran off to the bathroom.
“I do not, and will not, ever understand why everyone is so obsessed with that guy.” You exasperated.
“Oh, jealous, are we?” Barb asked. You knew full well she was doing it just to try to push your buttons.
“Me? Jealous? Ha! Good one Barb. I just don’t understand what everyone sees in him. His hair is too big and-and-and he’s an asshole! and… His ego is too big!”
Barb chuckled and nudged your shoulder. You two made your way to homeroom.

When Y/N got home, she found Dustin sitting on the couch looking flustered.
“Hey Dusty! What’s up?” You made your way to the kitchen and started rummaging the pantry for food.
“Will’s missing and Hopper won’t let us go look for him!” Dustin blurted out.
You stopped searching for food and walked back into the living room, unsure if you heard Dustin correctly.
“Did you say Will’s missing?” You were hoping you just misheard him.
“He never came home last night, and he wasn’t at school all day.” You couldn’t believe what you were hearing. Will was always the quietest of Dustin’s friends, but you always had a soft spot for him.
You stared at Dustin not knowing what to say.
“Hopper’s not allowing us to go look for him, can you believe that?” Dustin added.
“Sounds like bullshit to me.” You said.
“The party and I are- “Dustin started whispering “are planning on looking for him tonight.” He looked up at you.
“Oh, wow that's- yeah that's great. Just be careful alright?" You didn't need Dustin to go missing too.
“You can come with if you want!” Dustin added.
“Oh, trust me I would love to, but I have a huge science test I have to study for, but next time I’ll come with!” As much as you would like to go, you really had to study for this test.
                            ~November 7th, 1983~
At school the next day, during passing period, you Nancy, and Barb were studying Nancy’s flashcards as hard as you could. The cards in your hand were suddenly snatched away by none other than ‘Steve the Hair’ Harrington.
“Steve!” Nancy scolded.
"How many times have I told you you're going to do great," Steve reassured her. "My parents are out of town tonight, so are you in?" Steve asked Nancy.
Nancy looked like a deer in the headlights. “In for what?” she asked.
“Hello? Big house, no parents…” Carol piped up.
Nancy furrowed her brows. You leaned over and whispered, “A party, Nance, he’s inviting you to a party.”
"Ding ding ding! Wow, Henderson who knew you could be so smart?” Carol said. Her comment made you roll your eyes.
“So, are you in or are you out?” Steve asked again.
Nancy thought about it then said, “Only if Barb and Y/N can come!” Your eyes almost bulged out of your head and you quickly justified that you didn’t want to go. “Oh, I think that Dust- “Nancy cut you off. “Oh, come on Y/N! It’ll be fun!”
You looked at Barb who just shrugged. You sighed.
Steve agreed that you guys could come, which was just great news for you.
“Oh god… look,” Carol pointed toward Jonathon Byers, who was putting up flyers around the school.
“Oh, wow that's depressing," Steve said.
“How much you wanna bet he killed him?” Tommy asked. You whipped around at his comment and threw daggers at the group. “His brother’s missing you assholes.”
You made your way over to Jonathon.
“Hey, I’m sorry about Will, Dustin told me last night.” Jonathon looked up at you and gave you a small smile.
“We’re all thinking about you and your mom. If there's anything you need please don't hesitate to ask!" You gave his hand a quick reassuring squeeze and made your way back to the group who looked as though they just witnessed you pet a gorilla.
“What the hell are you all looking at?!” The bell rang and the group disbursed.
                        *                     *                     *
You couldn't believe you were going to go to Steve's house for a party you didn't even want to go to. The last time you were at Steve's house was at the end of summer before going into 7th grade. He was having a “back to school pool party.” A memory popped into your head of that day; you were laying out in the sun sunbathing in one of the lawn chairs when Steve came over, picked you up, and threw you in the pool. At the time you didn’t think it was funny but thinking about it now made you laugh.
You laced up your converse, grabbed your keys, and headed over to Steve’s.
On the way to Steve’s, your stomach was filled with butterflies. You didn’t know if it was because you were going to his house for the first time in 3 years or if it was because you would have to watch him and Nancy flirt the whole night, all you knew was tonight was going to be a huge pain in the ass.
You were the last one to arrive. The music was booming in the backyard. You rang the doorbell and knocked on the door but over the music, you knew no one would hear you. You let yourself in. The smell of his house, the decorations, the wall colors, everything was exactly how you remembered it.
As you guessed, everyone was in the backyard out by the pool. You were first noticed by Tommy.
“Well, well, well, look who decided to show up. We were starting to think you weren’t going to show up Henderson.” Everyone’s heads turned towards you.
“Uh hey, I tried knocking but I guess you couldn’t hear over the music.” You said directed toward Steve.
He simply nodded then went back to talking to Nancy.
You took a seat next to Barb who looked like she was having just as much fun as you were. You smiled at her. You decided to tune everything out, which was a great decision on your part. It wasn’t until Nancy started shotgunning a beer that you zoned back in. You had to admit you were impressed that she could do it.
“Barb, do you want to try?” Nancy asked. Barb declined but Nancy kept telling her she should try it.
“I’ll do it.” You suggested, trying to take the attention off of Barb. Steve handed you a beer and the knife. You were struggling to cut the hole in the bottom of the can.
“Here Henderson, let me help.” Steve offered.
“No Steve I can do it.” You protested.
“You’re going to hurt yourself Henderson just let me do it!”
He tried taking the can away from you while you kept trying to poke the hole. In the process, the knife slipped and sliced your hand.
“Fuck!” You dropped the can on the ground, quickly grabbing your hand.
“Gnarly…” Tommy whispered.
You watched as some blood dripped down your hand and into the pool.
"Uh, Steve can I use your bathroom?" You asked.
“Yeah yeah, you know where it is.”
You went inside the house and into the bathroom, locking the door behind you. Turning on the sink, you ran your hand under the water, wincing as the water ran over the cut. Your eyes scanned the room, taking in your surroundings. The teal bathtub was still there, as well as the teal toilet. The yellow tile around the room was still just as bright. They still even had an old picture of you and Steve on the first day of 1st grade sitting on the counter,
You dried off your hand and wrapped it in a bandage. When you came out of the bathroom, Tommy, Carol, Steve, and Nancy were all heading upstairs.
“Nancy!” You tried to get the girl’s attention.
“Oh Y/N, um Steve’s just going to get me some clean clothes. I…fell in the pool.” She gestured down to her wet clothes.
“Where’s Barb?” You asked.
“I think she’s still out back. Why don’t you go ahead and head home?”
You scoffed making your way out back to the pool. Barb was nowhere to be seen.
“Barb?” There was no response. “Barb!” You said a little louder.
Hm, it’s not like Barb to leave without saying anything, you thought. Hoping she had just gone home, you made your way back into Steve’s house.
As you walked through his house you heard the sound of a bed creaking as well as some small moans. “Oh, you’ve got to be fucking kidding me.” You rolled your eyes and ran out of that house as fast as you could.
The house was dark when you got home. You made your way to your room, opened the door, and flicked on the light switch. Dustin sat on your bed, you yelped. “Dustin! Jesus Christ you scared me!”
“The party requests your service. We need to meet at mike’s house before going to school tomorrow,” Dustin announced. You agreed, not knowing what you were getting yourself into.

We could start off every day with sex n super smash bros
*Smut warning!!
Erick sinnn omg guys im so nervous
Also this isn’t gonna be superrrr explicit like my others just bc this is new territory and a lil different still...
But here it goes, lmk your feedback pls 🙃
.
“Ew don’t touch meee” Erick whines as you roll over, playfully nudging him with your toes. His eyes are scrunched shut tightly, trying desperately to ignore you. “Pero es la mañanaaaaa,” you fight with him as he pulls the sheets over him and drowns you out with a pillow over his ears.
You can’t seem to find a hole in his little barrier, so you give up with a huff, slumping back onto your pillow. It was your one day off. A day for you to sleep in and relax, but of course you would end up fully energized at 7 am. Erick was no help either, that kid would be asleep for another 3 hours max and there was no way to stop him.
The phone on your bedside table buzzed and maybe it wouldn’t be too bad to just browse social media for a couple hours. Or so you thought...
You click the little Instagram icon and it immediately shuts down. Click again, same thing. You go back and forth between apps, disappointed as each one loads with an error- no connection. “Dammit,” you whisper and notice the icon on the top left of your screen disappeared, WiFi shut down.
The laziness in you kicks up and overpowers the effort to fix it. You look over to Erick, still buried in blankets and sleeping soundly. So trying not to wake him, you remove yourself from the bed slowly, inching your way out as quietly as possible. Feet hit the cold tile beneath you and you bolt over to your closet. Moving a few old jackets and shoes, you find a big box and slide it out next to your tv.
You remove the contents quietly again, making sure to check on Erick every time a sudden noise was made. Tangled chords get plugged into multiple ports and outlets, your desperate attempt to find some entertainment for time being. Once it was all set up, you place the console on the tv stand excitedly, digging through the box one more time for exactly what you were looking for. You insert the game and hop back in bed carefully, controller in hand.
Once you got situated in a comfy spot on the bed, a good distance away from Erick to give him room, you clicked the switch for the tv. The room immediately filled with the blaring music from the theme opening. You scramble for the remote rapidly and smash the button until it was silent. It didn’t work, however, since Erick was already up and facing towards you.
His hair was messy, sleep still in his heavy eyes and with a little baby frown. “Que estas jugando??” He questioned and looked at the screen so obviously plastered with the logo. You shrivel up a little in place, trying to look unknowing but also cute enough to get away with it. “Super smash bros......”
You fail to hold back a playful smile and cover your face with the controller. “Without meee!?” He argues and pushes you away from him. You point at him with the controller in hand, “Erick- estabas durmiendo, déjame en paz im bored.” His pout becomes a little softer, but he sits still with his arms crossed.
Some time passes of him being silent, you watch and wonder what’s running through those sleepy thoughts of his. He lets out a defeated sigh, rubbing his eyes before holding his hand out to you. “A controller,” he starts and yawns in between, “dame.” You hand him the one you were holding and grab the other off the nightstand. He adjust his eyes to the screen and gives you a nod to start it. “Ready to lose?” He jokes, and you lean in.
“Can i have a good luck kiss at least...?” You rest your head on his shoulder and bat your lashes up at him. He perks up quickly, catching himself just as fast, trying to play it cool. “Yea ye, i guess i could share some of my super smash bros skills with you this way.” He turns his head to press a soft kiss on your lips. You take it in while it lasts and run your tongue across your lips right after. Erick goes on and turns his attention back to the tv, ready to play.
But you look up at him and that messy hair, that light cover of stubble layering his chin, his perfect pink lips- and maybe there’s another game you wanna play now.
“Erick,” you say and he responds with a quick “que”, choosing through a long list of characters and not looking back at you. You roll your eyes and say it again, but this time while tugging at his shirt “Eriiickk.” He sets the controller down and turns toward you “queeee??”
You hold him by his jaw and slam your mouth to his, his eyes going wide with surprise. He pulls back a little, not quite sure what to do. You take the controller from him and toss it off the bed, yours following shortly after. His confused look changes up as you assure him of what you want, locking your arms around his neck, laying back and pulling him down on top of you.
“Whoa whoa,” he lets out as he falls over you and begin kissing and nipping at his ear. The tv played on in the back, background game music that sounded ridiculous in this situation. You smile against his skin and he giggles. “Ahora que” he laughs, now starting to kiss all over your neck and face. “La música, it’s funny,” you reply and he stops to listen.
“Guess we just gotta drown it out,” he says and sucks a mark onto your collarbone. Now there’s the gross teenager in him. You fall into his embrace, letting him droop over you lazily as kisses become more sloppy. The heat in your body increases as he takes the initiative to grab your thigh and lift it for him to settle in between.
“Por que eres tan bella en la mañana?..” he mumbles against your ear and it makes your heart flutter a little. His lips slide against your skin in all the right places, knowing exactly where to hit you for these types of moments.
A good amount of time goes by before you’re both ready for the next level. With as great of a kisser he was, you could get caught up in those lips all day. There would be no problem with that on either side too, because Erick definetly felt the same way. But what was happening now was sudden and pure need- a desire that wanted to be addressed immediately. And honestly, mornings like this was one of the times where he was at his hottest to you. So this would be fun.
The now so obvious bulge in his sweatpants grinded between your legs, making you gasp with all the thoughts that started to build in your head. Knowing he never liked to initiate, you part from his lips and squeeze his biceps with intention. “Erick,” you stop mid sentence and he bites his swollen lips while looking right into your eyes. “Grab a condom, I’m ready.” And with the speed of light, he rolls off of you to dig through the bedside drawer, pouncing back over you as he shows off the tiny little package.
You giggle at the goofy excited face he makes and he tears the corner of the wrapping with his teeth. He leans down to kiss you deeply one more time, letting you help pull his remaining clothing off before doing the same with yourself.
His nose rests against yours, pretty little lips hanging open as he slides the condom on, your own hands making their way down to assist. He exhales sharply and interlocks his fingers in yours. “Lista, bebe?” Its quiet and intimate, opposing slightly his normal character. I mean, he was always sweet, but it surprised you to see another side to his sweetness, however many times you’ve seen it before.
“Lista,” your hands massage the back of his neck, right where his hairline starts to fade. He’s slow, gentle, almost to the point where it’s too hard to wait for more. But he was careful with you, and that was always the most important thing.
He bottoms out fast, collapsing over you with a deep breath. “Don’t start losing on me now,” you joke and it helps relieve the tension of the moment, his confidence boosting up again. You guide him with a pace, something you can both handle and work out together, rolling your hips up into his.
His soft groans were actually more like whimpers, never afraid to overcompensate and be too dramatically vocal, he was as natural and amateur as any other boy your guys’ age. You clench onto his arms, arching up at his constant thrusts. The veins in his neck flex slightly and he’s never looked so focused in his life.
Your loud whines match the volume of the still playing video game and the squeaks of the bed frame. Sheets bundled at your feet as he pushes your bodies higher up on the bed, getting that perfect leverage to finish you out. “WhoA-“ you accidentally mutter, the sensation simply emitting your first thought out suddenly, and in a totallyyy not sexy manner.
He smiles wide and it’s almost like he wasn’t literally inside of you right now, because before you know it you’re both giggling at your little slip. Your eyes start to water as you try to keep it together and not break out into a full on laughing fit- Erick above you doing the same. “I couldn’t stop, it just came out,” you justify and cover your face with your hands, all previous movement now at a hold.
“You’re a nerd,” he teases and starts to poke at your hands while pinching and tickling around your face, trying to get you to reveal yourself again. You squeal when he blows a raspberry on your neck, making you wiggle and finally push him away. The both of your laughter fills the air and the mood is so much lighter than before.
You push his hair back and snap back to what was happening before your guys’ fit of laughter. His cheeks are flushed with color and you bring him into a kiss. “I ruined the mood didn’t i?” You smile nervously and he continues to pepper your face with kisses. “No, you made it better” his tongue sweeps along the roof of your mouth with skill and you moan in response.
The rest is frantic- hands pushing and pulling at open skin, hips pounding against one another, muffled noises as teeth bite into soft flesh in pleasure. He mutters a string of broken English, bucking into you roughly. His body spasms and you chase your release shortly after, burying your face into his warm neck.
Your fingers clench into his skin as you come undone, feeling lost in his touch and body. You both start to slow down until he finally rolls from on top of you, plopping onto his pillow. He lays there and it looks like he’s trying to reload back into normal Erick mode.
“You’re weird,” you cuddle up to him to lay your head on his sweaty chest. And like all he needed was the sound of your voice, he turns his head to you and shows off those perfect teeth. “Youre weirder,” he wraps you in his arms and starts to play with your now very tangled hair, “siempre me quieres así en la mañana.”
“You’re not complaining” you snap back and he agrees silently with a single look, fingers still locked in your silky strands. You squeeze him tightly to remind yourself how amazing he is and how lucky you are to have him to yourself. He groans as you squeeze tighter, almost pushing you away. “Oowww,” he squeezes you back to play along.
You release him and kiss his cheek one more time. “Okay can we go back to playing the game now?” Youre already reaching for your controller on the floor, pressing buttons to get it started. “Desnuda???” He almost screams, already halfway through putting his own underwear back on.
“Yea, it’ll distract you more,” you wink at him and press play. “My chance of winning is waaayy better now,”

MIKE HANLON - KIDCOT STATION AT THE CANADA PAVILION, EPCOT CENTER THURSDAY, OCTOBER 8TH 6:55 P.M.
There were two hours and five minutes until the Epcot fireworks show began, signalling the imminent close of the park, which meant there were three hours and five minutes until Mike Hanlon could finally clock out.
Not that he was counting, of course.
Sighing, he shifted in his seat at the Canada KidCot station. He’d been scheduled for an afternoon 8 hour shift, 11 to 7, but they’d asked for someone to extend because they were short-staffed and he apparently couldn’t help himself. He agreed to work until close, which was an extra three hours. Normally, he wouldn’t be phased by that, but he was bone tired today. He’d been up late with his Imagineer roommate, poring over plans and ideas for Star Wars.
He should have known better. No amount of arguing for Lando Calrissian or Finn was going to make Bob Iger, the CEO of the company, less racist, which meant that there was little to no hope for representation in the new Star Wars World. His roommate Ben had tried to warn him, but he’d pushed the issue anyway, feeling restless and irritated that he worked for a company that didn’t value people like him.
Now, he was paying the price. He stifled a yawn as a mother with two children hustled them by his table - he would kill for someone to actually talk to, but he wasn’t the type to hustle people over to him Gaston-style. (The Magic Kingdom Gaston was notorious for cat-calling girls, which Mike supposed was in character...but it was deeply unsettling to watch.)
Sighing, Mike picked up a marker and began to color one of the Duffy* drawings at his station. As bored as he was, he wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. Disney, for all its flaws, was more of a home for him than Canada had ever been, and KidCot was his favorite rotation. He loved telling stories and teaching kids about his home country - he loved teaching.
He loved Canada, too...it was his home, after all, but it had never been freeing for him like Florida had. Home came with expectations - from his peers, from his teachers, and most of all, from his parents.
Mike loved his parents, but he was definitely not the son they needed. He had no interest in hanging around and taking over the farm. His dreams were bigger than that.
His parents, for their part, had totally supported his move...at their own expense. He felt guilty about that sometimes, but he had a feeling that all three of them knew, in their hearts, that it was the right choice for Mike to go.
He’d come to Disney World because he hadn’t known where else to go. Disney had a work program for international students that promised to give him opportunities to connect with people around the world, and that promise had really appealed to 21 year-old Mike Hanlon. It had been the right choice, definitely - his first three months at Star Tours had been like a dream. He got to talk Star Wars all day, he got to choose Rebel Spies**, the ride wasn’t that complicated, and he hadn’t had to slog all the way around the perimeter of Hollywood Studios to get to his attraction like the Tower of Terror bellhops did. (There had to be a more efficient way of moving around backstage, and someday, Mike imagined they’d invent it, but for the time being, it was long walks and bikes over at Studios.) All in all, it had been a perfect fit for him.
Then, he had three months doing outdoor vending (ODV) at Studios, and that was...less exciting, to say the least. ODV was hot, sweaty work, and the guests that wanted popcorn or pretzels or light-up Mickey ears were usually tired, hungry, and cranky (and sometimes racist). Still, that was manageable, especially when he got into the groove of Fantasmic shifts. In fact, he still picked up Fantasmic shifts from time to time, for nostalgia’s sake.
After that, his program was over, but he didn’t feel ready to do something else, so he went to Casting to see about applying for a more regular job (and what he would have to do to renew his US work visa). The only full-time position they had to offer him was in the Canada Pavilion, so that’s where he was for the time being. It wasn’t ideal (he was putting in to transfer back to attractions as soon as he was able), but he’d gotten that temporary worker visa for it, so he had no choice but to make it work. So far, the only thing that had been completely ruined for him was Martin Short movies, because after watching the Martin Short ‘O Canada’ film a thousand and twelve times per work shift, he’d sooner die than watch Three Amigos ever again in his life. (He considered himself extremely lucky to have found the roommate that he did via the CM Housing Facebook page, but if Ben put on Father of the Bride one more time, Mike was going to kick him out immediately and permanently.)
Mike finished coloring his Duffy and looked around. There were no kids anywhere in sight. It was around dinner time, and the Canada pavilion wasn’t a highly popular family destination to begin with, so Mike was going to be alone for a long while, people-watching as young hipster couples walked by with Disney shopping bags full of maple syrup and plaid clothes.
He was so zoned out, he almost missed the two attractive men that were walking out of a shop and towards him.
Now, Mike had spent quite a bit of time coming to terms with his sexual identity. His father extremely traditional - which was not to say close-minded, but there was just no opportunity for exploration on the farm. It wouldn’t have made sense.
Disney was on the extreme opposite end of that spectrum. A huge percentage of male Cast Members were gay, and for the first time, Mike had the opportunity to consider his own feelings.
As it turned out, he was pretty equally interested in men and women. He’d had a couple of short relationships during his time in the States with people of both genders, and they’d all been pretty nice...just, not lasting, and none of the people he had dated had been as compelling as the two men - a redhead and a boy with light brown curls, he could see now - that were walking his way.
It was a bit disconcerting, actually. Mike usually wasn’t attracted to white people (they were so entitled and pasty), but there was something almost cosmic about these two. It felt like the universe calling.
Before they got close enough to see him, Light Brown Curls stopped and turned to the redhead, holding up a Disney bag and smirking. The redhead blushed and grabbed for the bag, but Curls swiftly moved it behind his back. They began to engage in a game of keep-away. Mike was mesmerized.
“You trying to stamp their passports?” Mike jumped at the sound of a leering female voice, and almost fell out of his chair. “If you know what I mean?”
“Ma’am, I---” he began, turning to look at the perpetrator and stopping short when he saw her pretty green eyes. “Huh?”
She laughed prettily. “The ginger making an idiot of himself is named Bill. He works Guest Relations over at MK, and he’s been super hung up on these two guys he saw in passing in the Boardwalk slash Epcot area recently. Classic pining gay.”
Mike looked back over at the two men. The ginger (Bill) had retrieved his bag, and was waving it in front of Curls’ face. Curls seemed unimpressed.
“Is the skinny brunette boy one of the guys Bill was pining over?” Mike guessed, watching the bounce of the haughty man’s curls.
“Yep,” said the girl, joining Mike in looking over. “His name’s Stan, apparently. He’s a front desk coordinator over at Yacht, because of course he is. Everyone at Yacht is so fucking put together. Pardon my French.”
“It’s a relief to hear cursing every once in a while,” Mike admitted. “It can’t be princesses and rainbows all the time.”
The girl nodded appreciatively. “I like your style. I’m Beverly. I work in costuming over at MK.”
“Oh, word.” Mike stuck out a hand for her to shake. She took it, and he was immediately impressed by the subtle strength in her grip. “I’m Mike. You wanna learn about Canada?”
“At some point,” Beverly said, smiling amusedly. “Right now, though, I’m trying to play matchmaker.”
Mike squinted at her, confused. “Aren’t your friends already together, though? I thought you were just third-wheeling.”
“Fourth-wheeling, if all goes to plan.” Beverly waggled her eyebrows. “Weren’t you wondering who else Bill has a crush on around here? I did say that he was pining over two guys.”
Mike’s stomach lurched. Pretty boys weren’t generally in the business of looking Mike Hanlon’s way...unless he was reading the whole thing wrong?
“No, but there’s already...they’re already….” Mike protested weakly, hoping his assumptions were correct. “I couldn’t intrude.”
Beverly shrugged her freckled shoulders, looking down nonchalantly. “Two’s an arbitrary number, bud. You can do whatever you want.”
The boys’ eyes were on Mike, now - they must have noticed him talking to their friend. The redhead was smiling, and Mike suddenly felt hot.
Being with more than one person at a time had never occurred to Mike, but now that the idea had been planted, it was taking root in a really fast and embarrassing way.
“Bill, Stan,” Beverly called, beaming, “meet my new friend Mike. He’s from Canada.”
Feeling a little stupid, Mike gestured to his nametag. “Saskatchewan.”
“Mike from Saskatchewan.” Stan stepped forward, confident and smooth. “Very, very nice to meet you.”
Bill smiled knowingly. “Told you, didn’t I?”
“You were right,” Stan said, eyes never leaving Mike.
Mike looked between the two, hoping for an explanation, and Bill promptly provided him with one. “I saw you here the other day, talking to kids. You’ve got incredible charisma.”
Mike was painfully cognizant of the blood rushing to his cheeks. “Thanks. Uh. Bev says you guys are CMs, too?”
“Yep!” Bill tapped his chest where his name tag would be if he were in costume. “I’m in the Magic Kingdom, and Stan’s your neighbor over at the Yacht Club.”
“It’s a shame you don’t have any guests,” said Stan, examining the Duffy coloring pages at Mike’s table. “I don’t know why people aren’t flocking to you, honestly. You seem like the kind of person that I’d actually enjoy learning about Canada from.”
“Do you wanna hear some facts?” Mike asked, and then immediately cringed. Why couldn’t he say something compelling for once?
Fortunately, Bill and Stan seemed to find it endearing rather than weird. Stan opened his mouth to speak again…
...and was immediately interrupted by a freckly, frizzy-haired tornado of a human being, who swept in and slung his absurdly long arms over Bill and Stan’s shoulders. Mike blinked rapidly, trying to take stock of the situation, but before he could get his bearings, the new person adjusted his glasses and started speaking in a thick Russian accent.
“Eet eez veddy hahd, Comrade, for me to trahhck you eef you do not answer calls, da?” He was talking to Stan, but Bill seemed to recognize him, too, if his eye roll was any indication.
“Why the fuck did you need to find me at all?” Stan groaned. It was obvious that he was fond of this weird, lanky guy, but he was playing at irritation. “I turned off my phone for a reason, you nerd. Take a hint.”
“Eh, I was bored. Also kinda sad, thanks to Big Bill here.” The guy abruptly stopped with the accent, turned to Bill, and tutted loudly. “Can you believe that Bill stood in the way of true love today? Also, how the hell do you know Bill, Stanny?”
“We’ve literally just met,” Stan said, “and preventing you from feeling love is only serving to make him more attractive to me, so by all means, Bill, continue.”
“It’s not up to me,” Bill said sadly, “and tragically, Eddie does think he’s hot.”
The third guy inhaled sharply. “Hold on, say that last bit again.”
“Mike, this is Richie.” Bill ignored Richie’s request and turned to Mike. “He’s bad, sorry.”
Richie’s eyes flicked up to Mike for the first time. Mike sat awkwardly as Richie took him in, smiled, and said, “A fucking pleasure. Has anyone ever told you that red’s your color?”
“Just you,” Mike replied honestly.
“Glad I could be your first.” Richie winked, and Mike felt charmed in spite of himself.
“Okay, so how do we all know each other again?” Bev asked, frowning. “I know Rich because he’s a giant pain in my ass when he comes through costuming, I know Bill because I know Bill, and now I know Stan and Mike through Bill…”
“Richie’s my roommate,” Stan said flatly. “Unfortunately.”
Bill whipped around to stare accusingly at Richie. “You’ve been keeping that from me?”
“Hey, I didn’t know you were into stuck-up assholes,” Richie shrugged. “Besides, that’s justice in action for not giving Cute Character Attendant Eddie my number.”
“He was working,” Bill said defensively.
“He was working,” Richie parroted mockingly. “That’s never stopped me from hitting on him before, and it won’t stop me again.”
“I wouldn't,” Bill warned. “Eddie’s no joke.”
“Didn’t say he was,” Richie agreed, bouncing excitedly. “Did he actually say I was hot, though, because--”
“Where do you work, Richie?” Mike asked, trying to save Bill from the conversation.
Richie’s smile was huge and sweet. “The World Famous Jungle Cruise, of course! Why, you itchin’ to ride my bote?” His expression turned suggestive. “Because I’d let you. It’d be worth the long, painful death Stan and Bill would put me through--”
“Beep beep, Richie,” Bill said loudly, elbowing Richie hard in the gut. Richie doubled over on to the damp wood of the pavilion floor.
Stan quirked an eyebrow, obviously impressed. “Beep beep, huh? I’ll have to remember that for next time.” He brushed Bill’s arm with his hand as he said it, and the corner of Bill’s mouth twitched up. Mike was enamoured by the interaction, and wanted more than anything to be on the other side of the table, included in whatever it was they had going on…
...fuck, he was so fucking fucked.
“Richie, if you’re not here for any real reason, then you should come with me,” said Beverly, looking like she was already regretting her offer. “I was gonna ditch these three in a couple of minutes, anyway. Let ‘em have a Food and Wine date, or something.”
“You’re sweet, Bevvy.” Richie gave her a sappy look as he peeled himself off of the floor. “Askin’ me out. Adorable. Unfortunately, I’m gonna have to pass, because Bill, I’m not going anywhere until you promise to get me Cute Eddie’s number.”
“You’re really dedicated to that, huh?” Bill asked, tone halfway between ‘impressed’ and ‘alarmed’. “What the hell happened between you two to make you so frigging obsessed, Rich? Normally you’re all jokes and no follow-through.”
Richie tried to be nonchalant, but Mike could see a bit of red creeping up his neck under the collar of his shitty Toy Story t-shirt. He was silent for a moment, and then when he spoke, his voice was soft. “He’s just...I don’t….he’s all the stuff I like, you know?”
Mike looked at Bill, whose forehead was scrunched up in obvious concern at Richie’s words, and then at Stan, who had his hands delicately on his hips and was trying and failing to not seem affected, and understood that he, Mike Hanlon, knew exactly what Richie was talking about.
“Let’s talk more about this later,” Bill finally suggested after a long moment. “Okay?”
Richie nodded quietly. Something had happened in the last few minutes...it was like someone had toggled the Richie off-switch. Mike hoped it wasn’t something he had said. “Roger that, Billiam.”
“Hey,” Mike said, feeling suddenly bold in the wake of Richie’s vulnerability. “Listen. I can’t hang with you all now, because I won’t be off of work until 22:00. If you guys are free and still awake at that point, though, y’all can come to my place after I’m done. I can write down an address. I bet my roommate won’t mind.”
Bill’s responding smile could have lit up the whole park. “I’d love that.”
“Me too,” Stan said immediately, looking between Bill and Mike with a soft expression (well, soft for Stan the consummate professional, anyway).
“You want us there, too?” Richie asked cautiously.
Mike nodded, and was relieved to note that Stan and Bill were nodding too. “Dude, I could really use some friends. I’m fresh out of those.”
With that, the tension was broken. Richie let out a great howling laugh, and moved over to clap Mike on the back. “Oh, Mikey! You just hit the friend jackpot, my man. Just ask Stanley Uris! Richie Tozier’s a top notch amigo.”
Stan shrugged listlessly. “I mean, if you like people that try to give you sloppy handies every time they’re intoxicated.”
Richie’s expression twisted up, and for a split second, Mike thought he was gonna lose it, but then instead of yelling, Richie groaned. “They’re not sloppy, Stanley, Jesus Christ.”
“Jesus who?” Stan asked, reaching out to yank on Richie’s sleeve, which presumably was meant to signal that he was kidding. “Anyways, yes, the three of us will be there, Mike. Bev?”
“That depends,” she said slyly. “Is your roomie hot, Mikey?”
Mike couldn’t help but laugh at that. Ben was an objectively handsome man, but he was less sexy than he was warm and comforting. “He’s a beautiful, wonderful guy, Beverly.”
“Then of course,” she agreed, laughing her little laugh again. “Write your address on the back of one of these Duffys, yeah?”
Mike obliged her, and when he was done, Stan took the paper and folded it up neatly, ultimately placing it in the breast pocket of his shirt.
“All right,” Richie announced. “Parting is such sweet sorrow, Micycle, but we must go purchase overpriced cocktails now. Adieu.”
“Bye!” Bev called, and almost immediately, the two of them were off, merrily making their way to the main World Showcase walkway.
Stan and Bill lingered for another moment. They were both looking at Mike with expressions that made Mike feel like his stomach was going to explode with butterflies. He didn’t know what it was about these two that made him feel all of 17 again, but he wasn’t complaining. He hadn’t been this excited about romance since middle school.
“We’ll see you later, okay?” Stan said assuringly. He slid his hand into Bill’s after he spoke, and Mike watched their fingers entwine. Absurdly, he wasn’t jealous at all...any interaction at all between the three of them felt right and good.
“Have a nice couple of hours,” Mike said, trying to convey the giddiness he was feeling through his words. “Enjoy the fireworks!”
“It’ll be nicer when we’re all together,” Bill said meaningfully, and then he and Stan were disappearing into the throng, too.
It looked like it was going to be another late night for Mike Hanlon...but somehow, he didn’t think he was going to regret this one tomorrow.
One hour and three minutes until park close, two hours and three minutes until clock-out.
Notes:
we don't deserve Mike Hanlon
*Duffy is Mickey's teddy bear, apparently. He's very popular in Japan. You used to be able to go to a Duffy meet and greet in Epcot, which is fucking wild.
**There's a moment in the Star Tours ride where one guest on that particular simulator is identified as a "Rebel Spy". The cast members get to pick that guest. I have never been that guest, and I will be bitter about that until my dying day.

MASTERLIST
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4
You missed him. You missed him so much, it was all you did in the day. You could be walking to Starbucks to grab yourself a latte and some cake pops, and there you were, missing Tom.
Stupid asshole. You’d think after his face would pop into your head.
You were always stuck between being angry at what he’d done to you, and being heartbroken over the same thing. But mostly, you were sad. You’d cry at night, holding the teddy bear he’d given you for your birthday, which somehow smelled like him (that was probably all in your head, but it did nothing to diminish the sadness from you.)
It sucked to leave the movie before it was even done. But to spend another day around Tom would’ve been too much; you couldn’t trust that you’d stay into character and not burst into tears.
“I know it hurts. But you shouldn’t let it stop you from going to auditions.” Zendaya told you, a week after the movie was finished filming.
“I know but...”
“But Tom isn’t worth all these tears.” she said. You winced. You knew she loved Tom; they were as close as two people could be. They were meant for each other. You’d never seen two people better fit to be friends than them. That’s probably what you hated so much about this whole thing. Zendaya always pitted herself against Tom for you, and it wasn’t fair.
“Zendaya… Don’t say that.” You said.
“Say what?”
“Tom’s your friend. You don’t have to hate him for me.” You smiled at her.
She sighed. “Yeah, I know. But when I see your face and how much you’re hurting, it's kinda hard to not be mad at him.”
You nodded your head. She started speaking again. “Maybe you should talk to him. It might help you get over it.”
As if he knew we were talking about him, Tom called at that moment. You knew it was him, because it was the Spider-Man theme song. He’d demanded that be his ringtone, the big dork.
Zendaya looked at you expectantly. “No, I am not answering it. Fuck him.” You said, your voice cracking. Tears started falling out again. “I hate him so much. What is he doing to me?”
Zendaya didn’t say anything, only held you as you cried your eyes out while rubbing your back soothingly.
This needed to stop, and it needed to stop, like, last week. But for right now, you just wanted to wallow in your pain and heartbreak for a little while longer.
“Do you think she’s gonna be there? She has to be there. The whole cast is supposed to be there.” Tom rambled.
Harrison swung his arm around Tom’s shoulders. “Yes, she’ll be there. Zendaya swore she would.”
Tom nodded but still looked worried. It was the first time he was going to see you in almost a month. He was excited and nervous. Excited because he was finally going to see the love of his life again after all this time, and nervous because he was going to admit everything to you. He hoped you still felt the same way about him. If you didn’t… Well, he didn’t want to dwell too long in those thoughts.
“Well, come on, mate. We don't wanna be late.” Harrison said, slapping Tom on the shoulder. Both boys walked out of the house together.
The party was in full swing when Tom and Harrison got there. Tom immediately began to look for you, but there were too many people. Too many people between him and the love of his life.
He and Harrison walked around, greeting all the people they knew, and even speaking to the ones they didn’t. But he couldn’t remember any of those conversations. His mind was preoccupied on you. What would he say to you? He’d been thinking about that since you left, but there was never anything good. Everything either sounded too cliche or not real enough. He needed to be real. It was you, for Christ’s sake. You deserved the world.
And then, a light seemed to shine on one particular spot near the bar, where you stood. He swore there were angels singing and harps playing; that definitely wasn’t in his head. Nope not at all.
He started walking to the bar before a man came out of nowhere, and put his hand on your waist.
“Who the fuck is that?” Tom asked Harrison with disgust.
“Uh, well...” Harrison said. He knew damn well who that was, but he couldn’t bring himself to answer Tom’s question.
“That’s who Y/N has been going out with.” Zendaya said, walking up behind the boys. She seemed smug in her answer, but after seeing Tom’s face, a mixture of jealousy and heartbreak written on it, she added, “They’ve only gone on one date, it's nothing serious.”
Tom nodded, barely registering anything Zendaya was saying. “I’m going to go talk to her.”
Before Harrison or Zendaya could stop him, Tom was running and pushing through the bundle of people separating him and you.
“Y/N!” Tom shouted. He threw a smile on his face, refusing to make you see his sour mood. That would not be good in his quest to win you over.
“Tom...” You said breathlessly.
“Who’s your date?” Tom asked.
Zendaya swore she was going to keep Tom away from you until you were ready to face him. Then you had even gone as far as calling Jacob, and asked him to help Zendaya.
Both were traitors.
“Tom...” You said again, when he was standing directly in front of your face. Not only had he had the nerve to come up to you, he also decided to ask you who your date was. How dare he?
You wished you could answer him honestly; that your date, Samuel, here (bless his soul he was being a good sport about everything) was just a way to make Tom jealous.
But he didn’t even seem jealous in the slightest. His smile was easy and friendly; just like before that wretched kiss happened.
“Hey, Y/N.” He leaned down and gave you a chaste kiss on your cheek. “How’ve you been?”
Samuel, bless his soul, snuggled in closer to you, his arm wrapping tighter around your waist. “You must be Tom.”
Samuel sounded pleasantly jealous, exactly the voice you’d been hoping from Tom.
Maybe now was the time to explain who Samuel exactly was.
You’d met Samuel, a very gay man, at a coffee shop the day after the kiss. He looked incredibly straight, and nothing about his appearance or voice or anything indicated that he liked men. Which of course was by no means of guessing a person’s sexuality, but… there was usually something that gave it away.
When Samuel very politely complimented your t-shirt, you immediately started yelling at him, asking who he thought he was flirting with you. After Samuel explained that he was “strictly dickly”, you both sat down and became friends. When you had explained to him the whole Tom situation, he suggested that he be your date to the party, in order to make Tom jealous. After that idea was planted in your head, you had to go through with it. Which is how you ended up here.
“Yup. Tom Holland. I worked with Y/N on Spider-Man: Homecoming.”
“Yeah, she told me all about you.” Samuel said flippantly. “Y/N, wanna go dance?”
You looked up at Samuel and fought as hard as you could to not look at Tom. You didn’t answer, just took Samuel’s hand and walked towards the dance floor.
She ignored me. Tom thought to himself. When Harrison stepped next to Tom, he repeated this same sentence.
“Well, it is the first time either of you are seeing each other in a while. She was just shocked.” Harrison said nervously. “We were supposed to give her a while before you went to her-”
“We were supposed to?”
“Well-”
“Who’s we?”
“I-”
“What are you guys planning?”
“Well, if you let me explain!”
Tom breathed in, then gestured for Harrison to speak.
“Thank you. Now as I was trying to say. Y/N asked us to keep you away from her until she was ready to talk to you.”
“And you were helping them? Who even is them?”
“Jacob, Zendaya, Tony-”
“So pretty much everyone?”
“Yes, and to answer your other question: yes I’m helping them. I think Y/N is perfectly rational in her wanting some time before she sees you. You’re both pretty heartbroken.”
“I guess...”
“Mate, he’s gay.”
That got Tom’s attention. “That bloke she’s with?”
“That bloke happens to be pretty cool, and he’s an excellent cook-”
“Okay, right sorry, but he’s gay? That means she hasn’t moved on.”
“Yes, that means she hasn’t moved- Tom, calm down. You don’t have to look for her now- Tom! Bloody hell.” Harrison didn’t even bother trying to follow his friend.
10 minutes had barely passed before Tom managed to track you down again.
“Y/N, I need to talk to you.”
You looked at Samuel. This whole night he’d been helping you with Tom, and every time you wanted to give in to him, Samuel would pull you away. But not this time.
“I’m fine here. You both can go talk.”
You gave him a confused look, and he gently pushed you away from him. Tom grabbed your hand, intertwined your fingers and dragged you away, to the hallway where the bathrooms were, and it was surprisingly empty.
“Y/N-”
“Tom, I can’t do this now.”
“Do what?”
“Talk. I-I don’t think I’m ready.”
“There’s nothing to be ready about, we’re just talking. We always talked. We used to talk for hours on end, when we should’ve been sleeping. We can talk, Y/N. It’s just like before.”
“No, it’s not.” You whispered.
Tom sighed, then moved his hand to tuck a strand of hair away from your face. “I know I fucked up, Y/N. I’m trying to fix it.”
You shook your head slightly. “I don’t know if it can be.”
“Don’t say that. Please don’t say that. This can be fixed, okay? We can be fixed.” He looked into your eyes. “Remember what the cast used to say? We were soulmates. Whether they meant platonic or not, it’s still true. We’re soulmates. We belong together.”
Tears started pouring down your face. “Tom-”
“I need you, okay? I don’t know how I didn’t see it before, but I need you. You… God, you’re so amazing, Y/N. You’re my other half, and I can’t live without you.”
It was all the right words. It was everything you’d always dreamed he’d say to you if he ever fell in love with you. But with all that happened, how could you believe him?
“Please tell me you still feel the same.” He took your hands into his and stared even more intensely, if that were possible, into your eyes.
“Tom… How do I know you mean what you say?”
“Because I’m saying them. I’m saying them and I mean them.”
“Tom, it took you a long time to figure out your feelings. You’ve always said it to yourself, you could never admit your feelings-”
“But I can change. I swear, Y/N, I can change. I’ll change for you.”
You shook your head. “No, because what happens when you fall out of love? It’ll be weeks, or even months before you admit that to yourself, and by then it’ll be too late. We’ll end up in a horrible relationship, Tom. I don’t want to risk our friendship for that.”
“But we’re not gonna ruin our friendship,” he was practically begging. “We’re only making it stronger. I love you.”
“Stop, please, Tom.”
“No, look at me. I love you. And you love me too. I know I fucked up, but I swear nothing like that will happen again. I know how I feel. And I feel in love with you.”
“Fine, but I don’t love you! Okay? Is that better? Is that what you wanted to hear?”
Tom had the gall to smirk. “You don’t mean that.”
“Wha-I-Yes I do!”
His smirk fell and he turned serious. “I know I hurt you. And you’re scared to trust me again. That’s okay. I can wait. Because I do love you. And not even the girl I’m in love with can change my mind. I can wait, Y/N-”
“You’ll be waiting a long time.” You said.
“I’ll wait for as long as I have to. Because you’re worth it, darling.” His smirk came back on. “I’ll call you later.” He winked, gave you a kiss on your cheek, and stared at you as he walked backwards, back into the party.
You had the urge the scream right then. How dare he? How dare he do this to me? I can’t deal with this, I can’t deal with this, I can’t de-
“Y/N?” Samuel called as he rounded the corner to find you leaning against the wall, tears still running down your face. Samuel walked over to you.
“I thought if you guys talked you’d resolve things, but I’m afraid they might’ve gotten worse.”
You snorted. “That’s an understatement.”
“Do you wanna go home?”
You nodded your head. “Yeah, that might be good.”
You and Samuel walked out of the venue, hand in hand. The night hadn’t ended the way you hoped.
The night had ended just as Tom had hoped. He got to explain his feelings now and he got to apologize. And you cried. The fact that that made him happy surely meant he was an asshole. But you cried. It meant you still had feelings for him. All he needed to do was get you to trust him again. It sounded easy in his head, but he knew it wasn’t.
It was time for Tom to call in everyone he knew in order to help him win his girl back.

six sexy words | reggie mantle; let me take care of you.
Tumblr media
Notes:
Oh hello, hi. Guess whose inspiration has finally come back from the war? A while back, I was linked this really neat prompt list by a dear friend of mine and it.. Sparked a few things. So… I guess this is me, starting a new one shots collection?
All of these come from my own mind and I don’t take requests for one shots / prompts, btw.
This is the prelude to my Riverdale fic Gangsta. It kind of... explains how Alyssa wound up getting with Reggie in the first place. Events have been moved around / misplaced, etc.. Anyway.. yeah. I know nobody asked for this but here ya go.
Prompts:
taken from either [ HERE ] or [ HERE ] give or take. It could be one or the other or a mix of both at my own choosing.
catching his gaze lingering on you, i still remember everything about you, let me take care of you were the prompts used here.
Fandom / Character:
Riverdale | Reggie Mantle x Andrews!Sibling OFC, Alyssa
Fic Alyssa Appears In:
[ here ] - read at your own risk. looose af canon compliance and some kind of dark themes are present (kind of an older guy manipulating a younger girl then stalking her sitch so be warned) and are hinted at here.
Warnings:
This one is kind of.. angsty. And there are some dark hints that people reading the fic linked above will pick up on. They're only vaguely hinted at here, btw, so... yeah.
A backstory literally no one asked for, lmaoooo.
Tagging:
@BRITHEDEMONSPAWN is the only one currently on my Riverdale tag list, so…
** if you want to be tagged in my Riverdale stuff, lmk!!**

[ ABOUT MY WRITING | TAG LIST DOC - IF YOU WANT TO BE TAGGED, THAT IS. | FANDOMS I WRITE FOR]
I looked up just as Reggie looked down. I could feel the weight of his stare every single time he shifted his gaze towards where I sat in the back booth of the diner.
A strawberry milkshake sat in front of me, untouched. I wasn’t even sure why I was at Pop’s. It’s pretty much the only place for all the lovey-dovey couples of Riverdale to come out on a Friday night anymore and I had to be a glutton for punishment because I knew that this meant the odds of me having a Valentine’s solo date in public, where people would look at me and judge or feel sorry for me for whatever reason, were high.
Not that it bothered me, but when you can feel everyone around you watching you like you’re a landmine or something, it gets old real quick.
A chair scraping loudly against the tiled floor of the diner as it was dragged over drew me out of my own thoughts and I braced myself. Preparing myself to look up from my phone and Snapchats that I had open to find Cheryl or Veronica or Betty sitting there, a sympathetic look in their eyes.
Instead, I looked up from a Snap my friend back in Chicago had sent me and my mouth opened in surprise a little because Reggie sat there, the backwards facing chair pressing into his chest.
“Happy Valentine’s Day.”
“It’s just another Friday.” I muttered, shrugging as I took a few noisy slurps of my milkshake and eyed him. “No hot female company tonight?” I gave him a mocked look of shock as I said it, laughing softly when his response was to pout right back at me.
“I mean, if you count the red-head I’m currently lookin at and I’ve been tryin to talk to all night, then yeah.” Reggie answered.
His answer caught me off guard and as a result, some of the strawberry milkshake went down the wrong way and I choked a little. Reggie chuckled, reaching over to lightly pop me between the shoulder a few times as he gazed at me in concern and amusement. “You good, princess?”
“Super. That would’ve been one hell of an obit though. Girl dies on Valentine’s Day while drinking a milkshake alone and nearly choking to death on strawberry bits.” I laughed and Reggie raised a brow.
“Guess dark humor isn’t your forte, huh?” I teased gently and Reggie gave a quiet chuckle.
“So… How are you feeling about being back in Riverdale?”
“It is what it is.” I answered, shrugging as my eyes wandered around the diner, taking in all the happy couples of Riverdale High.
My gaze settled on Reggie again and I struggled to come up with something even halfway passing as a conversation starter. Maybe that wouldn’t have been such a struggle for me if I’d stop getting lost in the depths of dark brown eyes… Or the way his tongue trailed ever so slowly over the outline of his mouth.
I found myself wondering why he was even over here talking to me to begin with. There was a booth full of River Vixens further towards the back, all laughing and whispering, and yes, occasionally calling his name.
I locked eyes with one of them and the sour look she gave me had me rolling my eyes.
“Hey, it’s gettin late. I doubt Andrews would want his sister walkin home alone…” Reggie trailed off under my amused gaze. I gave a soft laugh, finishing the last of my milkshake.
“Are you asking permission to walk me home, Reggie?”
“What if I am, baby girl?”
“First of all, it’s Alyssa…” I reminded him knowing fully well that it’d go in one ear and out the other, because it always has with him. Reggie’s been a nickname kind of guy for as long as I’ve known him and been friends with him. It’s nice to see that some things haven’t changed, even if at times that can be a little bit grating.
Baby girl just… has negative ties to it for me at the moment.
I winced at the thought and Reggie chuckled. “Okay, princess. Gotcha.” he muttered, leaning in a little. Reaching out and swiping his thumb over my bottom lip. I tried so hard not to tense up or flinch and I found myself hoping against hope that the little bit I did tense up went unnoticed.
I didn’t feel like answering questions and I didn’t want Reggie thinking I was weird or he’d offended me or something because honestly, he hadn’t. The whole thing was a me problem and it was one I was trying not to think about because I just wanted it all completely behind me. Forgotten about.
“You okay?” he asked, a brow raised as he eyed me in concern.
Crap. He noticed.
Apparently, the fact that he’s observant as hell hasn’t changed either.
I gave a soft laugh and nodded. “I just wasn’t expecting that. But it’s okay.” I quickly offered.
Deeper down, I have to admit… If so much hadn’t happened to me in Chicago, I’d definitely be falling hard and fast for Reggie Mantle all over again right now.
I did feel something. A sliver of a spark.
,, Don’t even think about it. The last time you felt sparks, you wound up getting in way over your head. Look where that got you, Alyssa…” that nagging little voice in the back of my mind spoke up, drowning out any and all other thoughts.
He’s my friend. Walking home with a friend isn’t a bad thing.
,, as long as it stops at friendship. Do you really think he’s just going to settle for you? He’s one of the big men on campus. Every girl wants him. Why would he choose you with all your current issues and that big nasty past of yours hanging over your head, threatening to ruin everything?” - and with that thought acknowledged, I smiled and cleared my throat. Breaking through his thoughtful daze with a soft laugh. “Earth to Mantle… You in there?”
“Yeah, yeah. I was just thinkin.”
“About?” I asked the question before I could stop myself.
“About how nice it is havin you back in Riverdale, Alyssa. You were always one of my favorite people.”
I smiled fondly.
Sitting down the styrofoam cup I’d drained of it’s contents, I rose up from my spot on the booth and held out my hand. “C’mon, lug.. If you insist on walking me home, we should probably get going… Stupid town curfew.”
“It is kind of dumb, huh? I mean, it’s not like we actually have a serial killer here.”
“It’s not like we don’t either. Sorry. I watch too many true crime documentaries.”
“No, you just lived in that big city too long. You forgot how safe and isolated it really is here.” Reggie chuckled. He slipped an arm around me and I tensed a little before I could stop myself.
I know he noticed it again, but he lowered his arm. Gave me an apologetic smile.
“Hey… do they still have those swings out behind the elementary?” I asked as we stepped out of the diner. He eyed me and smiled. “Yeah, why?”
“Well, since we do have a little bit of time left before I absolutely must be walking in my father’s door, I thought maybe we could go sit on them and talk? Like we used to? For old times sake?”
Reggie gave a soft grin. “I’d like that.”
“Just don’t try to send me into orbit like the last time I let you push me, okay?”
Reggie chuckled, rubbing his chin thoughtfully as he stared down at me.
I snapped my fingers in his face. “Hey…”
“Yeah, yeah. Look, I make no promises.” Reggie teased. I pouted up at him and we started to walk across the parking lot.
“You’re a lot quieter now, Alyssa. Skittish.. Are you sure you’re okay? I still remember everything about you and you weren’t skittish at all… If you wanna talk about it, you know you can talk to me, right?” Reggie asked as we walked towards the playground down the block. I sighed quietly.
“I’m not!” I spoke up, glancing up at him. Hoping he’d buy it and not keep pushing. Because I’m just not ready to talk about what I managed to get myself caught up in. And you just don’t want to see the disgusted look in his eyes when you do talk about it and he realizes just how stupid and pathetic you really are, the thought came but I shoved it out quickly. For the next minute or two, that heavy silence settled between us. I didn’t address the fact that he said I could talk to him. I know I could but… I just can’t right now. I need time. I need to get my head around everything.
And I don’t want to deal with the disgust I know he’ll probably feel. I know he will because I feel it, every single time I look at myself in the mirror. My parents and Archie keep insisting it’s not my fault, but all I can see is that I was the one who willingly got involved with the people I got involved with in the first place. I’m not stupid. I had to know that Dave didn’t really give a shit. That he was probably using me to stroke his own massive ego. That he purposely picked me when he sensed some deep hidden vulnerability. But I’m the one who let it happen. And I’m the one who let it go on for as long as it did and I allowed it to get to the scary point that it got to…
So yeah.. Pretty sure I don’t want to dump all this on Reggie Mantle and then see him look at me differently. I just… can’t.
I want to, but I can’t.
I hugged myself when the wind picked up, wishing I’d had the common sense to grab a thicker jacket before I left my dad’s house earlier. Reggie stopped our walk and slipped off his letterman’s jacket, holding it out. I eyed it and then him.
“Oh no. No. I’m not about to get my ass kicked by your fanclub.” I teased gently.
In reality, I knew that having the scent of his cologne so close to me would probably stick with me. It’d be too much temptation. Taking his jacket was a slippery slope.
“C’mon. Stop being so stubborn, woman. Look at you, shivering right now… You always took care of me back then. Let me take care of you, okay?”
He stepped closer. Not too close. Close enough that I knew if things were different, I’d totally be pouting right now because I’d want him closer. Before I could answer him, he slipped the jacket around my shoulders and I gave a soft and amused laugh. “Better, Reggie?”
“Yeah.” he answered. I tried not to notice it, but I couldn’t help myself. His eyes darted down and settled on my lips. His gaze lingered.
My heart hammered just a little harder against my chest.
I swallowed hard and cleared my throat, trying not to think about the way he was looking at me currently and the way it made me feel. Because someone’s made me feel that way before but they turned out to be the most toxic person I’ve ever known.
I just.. I don’t know if I can trust myself or anyone else right now.
But I want to. God, I want to.
