This chapter was a pleasure to read.

What surprised me was the feeling I got after reading the chapter. Usually, I tend to overthink what'll happen next, especially when I feel we're getting into the thick of the plot, but not this time. Don't get me wrong, I still have lots of questions, and I'm still dying a little bit wanting to read the next chapter, but this time, I felt peaceful, like I was happy just waiting and being here for the ride with fellow readers and being surprised with each update. Just for clarification, when Maki and Kaede were being gay and messy in Fuyuhiko's house, that line "ducking beneath her dad's hesitant touch" for sure means Mondo right?? For a minute I thought it was referring to Fuyuhiko because he's her godfather. The family tree makes a lot more sense now though, but just for clarification's sake I'll ask! I definitely don't want to reach the point of questions where I'm treading into the spoiler zone, because every surprise and reveal in PO has made me scream and shout and let it all out.

as to your question (which i don't think it's boring at all): kaede is meant to be referring to taka in that instance! the full relevant line is "…still just another traumatized demigod, ducking beneath her dad’s — not her godly parent’s, never him — hesitant touch..." the most recent chapter established mondo as maki's godly parent, the one that she is biologically related to, though both him and taka are equally her 'dad's. there's also a line that describes how taka has visited camp a handful of times, but the same isn't said of mondo, which is intentional.

as for why that is...it is alluded to, but i don't make explicit the reason. doing that now would get into slightly spoiler territory, but in rereading it, i do think someone could make a reasonable inference based on what was said in ch19, and also in things that have been touched on waaay back, as to why mondo isn't present in ways taka has been said to be. i'm keeping my wording vague because to be 100% honest, certain aspects of this lore are so deeply established and it's just been a given for Me in My head for so long that i forget sometimes what has been revealed and what quite hasn't yet, and funnily enough that's mostly in relation to the broader concept i'm referring to now. i don't want to drop something in passing in a reply and then end up with an inbox of "wait what?!?!?!" from unintentionally spoiling something 💀 good news is, on the maki front at least, i expect the why to be answered...relatively soon.

i will say, your mention of the family tree wrt: maki is relieving because in my planning docs. So I just want to clarify that I'm not a creepy old woman I'm 22 years old and my daughter is 2 lol

I decided to send another ask about areum's pregnancy and this is going to be LONG and I think I will have to send more than one, SORRY. Also how you described areum in the last chapter was really accurate, I was lucky to not get nauseous but it's really common, and yes omg I cried over the smallest things I could feel areum when she cried after getting scolded by haechan and jaemin

My pregnancy in the start was pretty chill physically cause I didn't felt anything but it depends from person to person. I think when my belly started to grow it was when it really hit me and I was like omg I'm really pregnant, since I was in denial like areum. First thing: cravings, I didn't craved for crazy things but it can happen I just wanted ice cream ALL THE TIME I ate a loooot of candys and chocolate. And there's a rollercoaster of emotions, one moment you're like "get tf out of here I don't want to see anyone" and then you're "I just want cuddles and ice cream" and then its "I need a dick inside of me right NOW" and it changes really fast. Physically the main change is the bump, at first it's really cute and you love it but the more it grows the more you suffer, it's heavy and it's crazy cause its something inside you so you always feel heavy, but as the time passes you get used to it. And back pain, a LOT of back pain, really I had to sit all the time with something supporting my back when my belly was big. But the good thing was feeling my baby kicking my belly, I loved to put my hand on it and feel her I couldn't wait to see her face, but sometimes she kicked my ribs and my organs and it was really painfull. Also one moment my self esteem would be so high cause I was glowing (pregnancy leaves the skin so smooth) and then it dropped to the center of the earth cause I felt fat. And since your fics has smut, when the belly is big you can only have sex in doggy position or spooning, there's no other way, that's the most comfortable, and actually have sex in the last days of pregnancy helps to dilate so its pretty good. One more thing, walking calmly thought the city, going to a park or anywhere that has nature is healing, I loved to do that and I lowkey liked to show off my big bump (even tho I was 19 but people thought I was 16 and gave me weird looks cause I looked like a kid). In general it's hard but its also so good, I had a lot of worries like "will she be healthy? Will I make thought this?" But I had my boyfriend and my family supporting and helping me and I was so happy, I'm sure jisung and jeno (he's alive I feel it) will be there for areum and I hope the guys will too

Pregnancy is probably one of the things people will go through at least once in their life and you’re basically…just creating another life form, I think what you did is very beautiful no matter how old! Things like this happens even if you do have safe sex 😭😭 I know someone who used a condom but ended up pregnant anyways which is… really worrying to think about, must’ve been a really bad condom brand— but in the end the couple are really happy and are ready to be parents.

I’m really glad you reassured me about the accuracy so far! I asked my mother for help by asking for her symptoms. She gave birth twice and they were VERYY different. My mom when she was pregnant with me craved lots of meat(?) and she wasn’t necessarily having a pregnancy glow up with me 🥲 she had a very low self esteem and had massive temper LMFAO, so yeah, however when she was pregnant with my brother she was glowing— had like smooth skin, she didn’t really get too big which she was very glad for. My mom craved tons of sweets like you did when you were pregnant!

also Agniratha, the sheer gravity and atmosphere of that place was so.... unsettling, but in the best way

7: Least favorite location?

generally? most of the locations on Mechonis; after how diverse each new location on Bionis was, it felt like a bit of a letdown for each new area to have similar aesthetics and enemies. i cannot for the life of me differentiate between Galahad Fortress or Mechonis Field or Central Factory.

specifically? the Ether Mines. i played through that entire stretch of the game in, like, a 6-hour sitting, and kind of burnt myself out a lil towards the end.

9: Favorite part of the story?

gotta be Mechonis Core! even though i expected ~something~ to happen i was in NO WAY prepared for what was to come. the way that it completely flipped everything you thought you knew about the world and the story of the game on its head and just kept delivering sucker punch after sucker punch .... i had to pause the game to scream into a pillow afterwards.

36: Least favorite game mechanic?

oh definitely the timed quests, while i love that they reflect the way that the game’s world is changed by the events of the story, i stressed myself tf out trying to complete as many of them as quick as possible bc i didn’t want to look up when they expired and risk spoiling myself but i also didn’t want to lock myself out of them. i definitely burnt myself out a little bit on Bionis’ Leg because of it, and i think i missed a few late-game ones because by that point i was just so tired of timed quests and just wanted to get on with the story lmfao

41: How did you come to know Xenoblade Chronicles?

oooh thank you for asking this one, i think it’s quite a cool story!! i’d just started watching Chuggaaconroy’s LPs back in 2014 when he started his playthrough of Xenoblade Chronicles, and i watched maybe the first episode or two before i realised that, fuck, maybe this was a game i really needed to play through myself. dumb bitch highschool me forgot about the tiny lil detail that i didn’t own a fucking Wii -- but then the 3DS port was announced! so i was like okay, i’ll get the 3DS version. except it was specifically for the New 3DS, and i only had an original -- so i figured i would wait a bit, save up some money, and grab a New 3DS when i went to upgrade my old one. except, so few (new) games were announced for the New 3DS that i couldn’t really justify dropping the ~$300 on an upgrade, and by the time i had the money the Switch was a thing, so i bought one of those instead. second-hand copies of Xenoblade used to be on sale at my local game store aaaall the time, and i cannot count how many times i would stare longingly at that $38 price tag and have to talk myself out of buying it in hopes of ‘”one day”’ having the appropriate system to play it on.

AND THEN. THE DEFINITIVE EDITION WAS ANNOUNCED. the hunch that 16-year-old Cat had was 100% correct; i am so so glad that i listened to it because playing through the game for the first time blind was a really special experience :’)

i have spent, no lie, 6 whole fucking years in anticipation of one day getting to play this game, and it was worth every dang second of the wait.

and omg i love everything about jun tbh lmfao like I'm really infatuated like that!!!!! but i especially love how damn positive he is all the time. sometimes I really wonder how amazing it would be to see the world from his eyes. like he always look on the bright side of things, he's always giving his best no matter what and i think that's beautiful. and he just has such a great personality. he knows how to read the room and he's really observative. he always makes sure people around him are really comfortable, he's a mood maker as well, he makes jokes to break tension and he has such a comfortable vibe. like it's great to be with him because people just feel safe. and i don't know him personally, but i See and joshua, wonwoo and vernon have also mentioned this a few times. and he's really funny!!!!!! he has a great sense of humor even if people don't truly appreciate it. svt likes to call him childish and a prankster but he's honestly soooo much more than that! he's really smart as well!! and man i LOVE his dancing. it was what got me into him you know. he's just such a great performer, like i think because of his experience as an actor I can really see how much he gives when he's on stage. like he really performs what the dance/song is trying to say, he tells a story with his body and i think that's fascinating. makes me upset that multiple times svt mentioned another person as a best dancer over him (and not even someone from the perf unit lmfao) but I'm just really salty when it comes to jun things overall lmfao he also worries me a lot because he doesn't talk about his problems and always keeps them to himself and i think he pressures himself too much, he always puts other people first instead of himself and that makes me Sad but i also love how much he just absolutely LOVES and lives for seventeen and he always just wants them to be happy. it's really endearing even if it makes me sad sometimes. he's just such an amazing dude and he gets overlooked a lot and i think he deserves the whole universe!!!! he's also super duper handsome and that's a huge plus.

edit bc i forgot to mention but jun with cats is my fave thing in the world!!!!!!!!
